Oscar and Samier (in training) did a thorough job checking both A/C and heating system. Despite a cold front, they checked the gas pressure on outside unit to insure pressure was ok. (new roofing nails came close to hitting piping from outside unit.)

Mark Peel, the salesman was courteous, professional, and honest. We were nervous about the new technology, but he answered all of our questions until we were comfortable. You can't beat their warranty, which speaks volumes to us about them and their products.The installation crew was great. Very professional and knowledgeable. Answered our questions and showed us how to use the new thermostat. If anything came up, they immediately got an answer for us.

Came to my house five different times and stood up one appointment as well. My landlord spent over 3,000 on there services and still did not fix . I think they took advantage of her being an elderly woman. And also don’t know what they are doing . I would not recommend this place to any person And not even my worst enemy!

Clark Stewart was our HVAC technician. He arrived on time, very friendly but professional at the same time. He didn’t try to sell us, but to discover what our concerns were by asking a lot of question prior to making a recommendation. This is rare in a fast paced service world to really focus on your clients needs instead of profit. Nonetheless, he is/was thoroughly and we had an overall exceptional service with him. Please give this guy a raise or bonus as he is an asset to any company. Thanks Clark!

I highly recommend Paschal. They were friendly, helpful and communicative from the very beginning. On time and clearly hold a high standard for their business. So much easier than the last company I called that never showed up!Shoutout to my technician, James, who was professional, efficient, and a really kind, positive human. He was flexible with my schedule and patiently answered my million basic plumbing questions. He also provided a transparent breakdown of costs of services that was easy to follow.I had 8 valves replaced, some of which were pretty stubborn. One basically had to be torched to be replaced and reconnected to the pre-existing ancient copper lines for a sink/dishwasher deal. Also had some faucets removed and was advised about good replacement options according to our needs and budget.James worked quickly and was also incredibly thorough. He double checked every piece, tested for leaks, cleaned up all areas way better than he found it.Such a great experience and so glad I called in a professional that I can trust!

I had AC troubles, that Martin determined was in the line from the outside condenser to the evaporator coil in the attic. So Martin and Brian replaced the line set and get everything working again today. I hope it stays working and I don't have to call them back. What I was impressed about was Martin & Brian's knowledge, professionalism and the good clean work they did; no loose ends, and no shortcuts. Highly recommended.

Jim, my Heat/Air unit tech, was thorough & kept me looped in on what he was doing during our six month season unit check and filter change. When he was done with these maintenance tasks, he summarized to me what he'd done and asked me if I had any questions or concerns about his service today. I didn't. Metro Energy Savers is a great company. They replaced our outside and inside unit a few years ago and this year, we bit the bullet and replaced all the duct work in the attic, plus replaced all the seals and vents as well. The AC hasn't been on much so far this year, but I can tell just by the few times it has come on that doing all that is going to make a huge difference. Metro offers great service and prices. Highly suggest them.

I can't say enough good things about my experience w/Big Bear & especially my technician Ezekial. He came out, found the problem & fixed it in very short order & for a very reasonable price. He also came back at the end of the day to make sure everything was in good working order & to do a thorough system check/cleanup. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! SCAMMERS!!! The first kid came out to look at our outdoor unit...after a while came inside and said Hey Bossman (WTH!!!), your compressor is shot - we asked how much that would be to replace, he said $5K ++ - he then said someone else with the company will be coming by to relook at system and give us an estimate (WAIT!!! you just did!!!) - seemed fishy and was - we did pay the $89.00 service fee....the 2nd guy came out (and apparently didn't know what an expandable ladder is...he broke ours!!!) and was actually pricing out an ENTIRE system - to replace the outdoor and indoor units to the tune of $17K!! He sounded surprised, Nope, we didn't ask for that ...We got a second opinion from another AC company - compressor was FINE!!! are you kidding???? We could have been out tons of money for nothing!Paschal Air, Plumbing & Electric, just a hint - look up Chapter 1302 (the air conditioning and refrigeration contractors' law) of the Texas occupations code ... you violated it!We have used these AC people in the past before several companies got bought out - really sad that we can't trust anyone...End note, we demanded our service fee back from them and did receive it....RUN AWAY!!!!!

Metro sent 2 technicians to troubleshoot a heating issue. Both gentlemen were polite, professional, and well versed in their craft. While mitigating the immediate issue, they pointed out a plethora of reasons to change my 19 year old unit. Metro will be back in my home in three days to replace the entire HVAC system. I am confident the installation crew will perform an impeccable job, and will return to this review after service.

When my AC froze up last night, my parents recommended Metro Energy Savers and said they've used this company for 20 years now. This morning, I was pleasantly surprised by the professionalism of the office staff who took my call. This afternoon, the office not only called to tell me when the repairman was on the way, they also texted and emailed me the repairman's name and photo! That was very considerate of the customer's perspective.My repairman, Josh, was 100% professional and pleasant. He has good people skills in addition to his technical knowledge. He diagnosed and corrected my AC problem, explained to me what it was, and even gave a simple demonstration to show why that appeared to be the bad part. (It was a capacitor rated at 5%, but only giving out .79%.) He also waited long enough to see if the problem appeared to be resolved, or if possibly another part might need to be replaced. (He ended up not replacing any other parts.) When I asked about possibly replacing my AC system at some point, Josh gave straightforward answers about my options without being pushy or manipulative. He answered all my questions, and I never felt like he was trying to upsell me, but rather was seeking to offer options that would best suit my needs.It's not easy to earn my trust, but I believe that I can trust Josh and this company. Whenever it comes time to replace my system, I'm sure I'll be calling Metro Energy Savers.

Called since our AC was tripping the circuit breaker in over 100 degree afternoon. The next day, a technician called and said he'd be over in 25 minutes, he apologized when he got here for taking 35 (I definitely did not notice). My old AC went out on a hot night in July 2018 to my dismay. Fortunately, Metro was able send us technicians to come and replace our unit immediately - having it all finished before the end of the day! We were thrilled to be in our house at cool temps again. Now, 6 months later, they've come out again to service the unit as a regular check-up free of charge. This is one of the most friendly and professional companies I've had the pleasure of working with. Tanner and Jim in particular came today and were very helpful checking things and discussing the ductwork with me. I'd highly recommend anyone in need of hvac help to use this company's services.

One of the best decisions we have made. Waymon, our sales rep, told us the procedure they follow and my old 4 ton a/c that was my 3rd floor attic was taken out with old tubing etc without a hitch or dirt on our carpeting.This is a professional organization. Their price was competitive, not the cheapest, and Im so glad we had them do the installation. In fact, they will do the servicing of our other two a/c units. Mama is happy. Need I say more.

The initial service call was very thorough and friendly. My technician found some set up and safety errors from the previous provider's installation that needed attention for better performance. We saw immediate results after it was corrected. Also want to note that our building is in a new construction area and this team took extra steps to make sure they didn't track in mud or leave a mess behind.

Have bought two full systems from Metro, one for our house and one for a home we have as a rental. The main HVAC brand they sell includes full service and parts warranty. It was pricey but seemed worth it. We have needed a repair since purchasing, and we were pleased to find that it WAS fully covered as promised. They have also serviced our older system and the price seems fair and competitive. They've been out quickly for emergency service, as well as even sold and installed a new HVAC within 24 hours when ours was dead so we didn't have to wait long to be cool again in the summer.

I have been using Big Bear for over seven years, and the dispatch staff and work technicians are extremely professional and courteous. I have watched the company grow over recent years, and I believe that the same, personal, family-feel of the business has remained. Bottom line, they know what they are doing, they arrive on time, are clean and mindful of the fact that they are entering your home, and as such they treat it, and you, with respect. I cannot recommend Big Bear A/C & Heating any higher.

My AC went out upstairs and since my house is less than 3 years old I called the builder's AC company, who told me they couldn't make it out for 5-6 days and tried to sell me an annual package to make me a higher priority... So I told them I'd try someone else. Remembering Big Bear was recommended by some of my neighbors in our Facebook group, I called and they came out that afternoon. The technician arrived 15 minutes early, diagnosed and fixed the issue within an hour. Great overall experience and I will use them again if needed. I totally recommend these guys!

I see all these good reviews on here and I'm pretty sure it's because the customers did not realize they are being charged for things they don't even need! I've hired these guys once to come take a look and they tried telling me I needed a whole new unit, about $8,000! So naturally I got a second opinion. Apparently, I did not need a new unit, I just needed another return air duct! House feels wonderful! And it didn't cost me $8000. I also called them up on another house I rent out. I thought maybe it was just the salesman, nope. Different guy, still tried to tell me I needed a whole new unit. I just bought the one that is in there like 2 years ago! So I got a second opinion. All I needed was a condenser. I'm sure they do great installs, but I believe they have been ripping people off for years by telling them they need more than what they really do. Do your research people and get second opinions!

Called MES because of good reviews and because our in laws have used them for over a decade and recommended them. Our system was running for hours nonstop and not cooling, staying at 78/79 on 100*+ days. The tech came out and said it was the copper pipe and that the outside unit didn’t have a drier so that meant the Freon was contaminated and we needed to flush that out and put new one in. It came out to be $1,800 but we went ahead because we really needed our house cooling again ASAP. Long story short, it didn’t work at all and we called the tech back out 2-3 more times. Side note: my father in law went out and saw for himself that there actually was a drier in the unit which alone was about $200 when the tech said there was not. Not sure if that was intentional or not, but watch for that kind of stuff. The biggest thing, though, was that the Tech was very defensive and would not budge on his “copper pipe” diagnosis even though we kept telling him the house was still hot. It was honestly a thoroughly terrible experience dealing with him and not being believed, being talked over, etc. day after day that we ended up calling a 2nd company which ended up figuring it out. I then began calling the office asking to speak to the manager to get a refund and when that didn’t start off great either, i was almost sure they were going to try to take the money and run. Although my interactions with the manager didn’t start off great, they ended up issuing a partial refund for the misdiagnosis after the manager came out and reviewed the house and saw everything for himself. We closed off the interaction on a positive note with an apology, handshake. So although I am happy the company made an effort to rectify a wrong, it still was not a positive experience.

Patrick came to my house to change out a leaking evaporator coil. He called in advance to verify the appointment and arrived right on time. I ask him how the repair was going to be done and how much time it would take. He explained it to me in a clear friendly manor and proceeded with the work. Everything went as plan and he showed me on his gauges just where the pressures should be for a fully charged system for that day's temperature. I was totally satisfied with the job he did and with the support of the service manager and everyone at Metro Energy savers. I bought the 2 year service plan and look forward to their future service.

UPDATE: 09/11/19 - I would give a 6-Star review if I could!!!“Houston, we have a problem.” The house wasn’t cooling and the A/C wasn’t running. I called Metro Energy Savers at 8pm, expecting to get an answering machine. A live person answered my call! I explained the problem and he said he would get a tech out within an hour. The answer is simple. It's the company with an online presence that exudes trust, capability and competence.Metro Energy Savers had all three, so I called their number. The call taker was phenomenal! Her warm, caring phone presence not only reassured me that I called the right company, but that I could relax. They had this!Noticing online that a tech named Randy had a recent and glowing review, I asked if Randy would be available to respond. A few hours later, Randy was ringing my bell. He was beyond fantastic. Friendly, personable and a straight-shooter only begins to describe his professional qualities. Should you decide to call on Metro Energy Savers, you would serve yourself well asking for him.While Randy attempted to perform an HVAC miracle on my 11-year-old A/C unit, it did not take long to realize replacement vs. repair was our best option. Knowing very little about A/C install pricing and MES's preferred product line (Daikin), I whipped out my iPad, looking for instant answers. In the end, I decided to trust Randy and MES for my new A/C installation.In electing to purchase a Daikin product (Asian tech - Texas built), versus more commonly known brands like Trane, Carrier or Lennox, I realized this would begin a long-term service relationship with MES. I liked what I had seen thus far, so I jumped in with both feet. Randy worked out the logistics and said they could install my new A/C unit early the next morning. Since I was not financing the purchase, I received a discount. When I asked how they wanted payment, Randy said, Just write us a check. Randy made the whole process seem easier than it probably was. All I knew was that I found value in MES and they found a new customer.9 a.m. the next morning, the phone rings. The caller informs me the crew is on their way. Fifteen minutes later, they are at the door. The installation crew exceeded our expectations. They were the most professional and pleasant work crew that I ever recall dealing with. In hindsight, I regret not obtaining their names. Their professional excellence certainly deserves individual recognition. While I wish I could tell you more of their work, I try to stay out of their way. I can tell you they were quite attentive to top cleanliness practices inside our home. Before I knew it, they were finished. Very painless indeed!It was a comfort that Metro Energy Savers was able to meet our needs so quickly.In my limited review, study and experience with Metro Energy Savers, what stood out most was their investment in human capital. Used to be very good, but it's clear that ownership has changed and things have really gone downhill. I've had them come out to 2 different houses over the past 3 months. The first time was full of misdiagnosed issues (went for a couple hundred $ to many thousands), not having the right parts, constantly having to call them for updates on parts, service, etc., and not getting called back when when they promised. No one ever really owned the issue and it kept getting passed to someone else. I asked to speak with a manager several times, but never got a call. I believe they contract with an answering service, so it's hard to ever really get in touch with someone from the actual company. It ended up taking almost 3 weeks with 4+ house calls to get resolution. I made the mistake of then using them again for another home. Quickly diagnosed as a failing capacitor, replaced it for $200+. The unit wouldn't come on, so they said an electrician would need to check wiring behind the breaker to resolve. They also sent me a $20k invoice for a new unit, if I chose to pursue that route later on. Electrician came out (at cost to me of course) to find no issues with wiring or breaker. But he was nice enough to check the A/C unit and find that the compressor was grounding out and tripping the breaker (usually meaning compressor is blown). I've used Big Bear (Diel) for 10+ years and have always praised their service, but I won't be calling the new Big Bear back again.

I have then come to check on my AC on Friday bc of an issue with the damper. They came and told me everything was good to wake up the next morning with the 2nd level of the house at 69 degrees and the 1st level at 80. I called then back on Saturday and then afyer a more detailed inspection the tech tells me the indeed the damper was faulty. Now I am looking into en expensive work that and wait time, that could have been slightly mitigated if the 2st inspection was done right.This company apparently acquired Metro Energy Savers, not a good or positive start for me. I can say I will recommend them.

My parents have used their annual maintenance service for decades, so they recommended I call Metro when I needed maintenance & had a leak from the AC.Everyone I spoke to was great! From my first call Jessica (I think!) was pleasant & happy to speak with me! She was able to schedule me today for a late afternoon, but she called back to let me know they could come early & was just as delightful.The men that came were just as nice! They didn’t mind my dog wanting to show off or get pet & shared with me about their dogs. They QUICKLY showed me where my problems were & Fixed it, and took pictures to help me w/ the insurance. They showed me where I had filters already & showed me how to check/change them, AND made sure it was dummy proof that I could check them on the specific date & writing all the directions on the actual filter (We agreed NYE ... so now I won’t forget! 😉), and just generally were good guys.I’ve had insurance companies and roofers and all kinds of trades out here since the last bad storm, and I genuinely enjoyed every aspect of my engagement with this company for the first time in a long time!Highly recommend the quality of work, timeliness, knowledge & expertise as well as being easy people to work with! 👍🏼

I took out a warranty to do a spring and fall service on my unit. This is the first time that the staff was unable to get me a shorter window of time. I was told the HVAC man would come between 8 am and 4:00 pm. In the past they have always given me a 4 hour window. No one wants to wait all day (8 hrs). Lucky for me, I was the first customer, but had no way of knowing that in advance.

I was very disappointed with my experience. I heard a rumble in my attic on a Friday afternoon and after investigating found the squirrel cage blower fan had spun itself to pieces. I called the Lennox parts warehouse and found the blower fan was in stock and available for $125. I'm 60 years old and decided I would rather pay to have it fixed than do the work myself. I explained the part I needed and the nice lady at MES told me their trucks were fully stocked. I understand she was a call center employee so I don't fault her for not knowing what I was talking about. Less than 2 hours later a very nice gentleman arrived to take a look at my unit and I explained the problem (and my replacement suggestion) to him. He climbed into the attic and returned to tell me the blower fan was no good. He then suggested a new blower wheel (squirrel cage) for $450, capacitor ($180), and motor ($872) which could all be installed Monday (approximately $1600). Or I could install a new furnace unit today or Saturday for about $6000. This is Texas, this was Friday, I was hot so I was willing to pay a markup on the wheel and buy a fan and capacitor which I might not really need but wasn't in the mood to spend 6 grand. I explained we didn't need to wait until Monday because the parts were available now from the manufacturer about 15 minutes away. The technician was very nice but said they were not allowed to use third party parts. I knew Lennox (the manufacturer) had the wheel so I suggested getting all the parts from them, giving me no warranty and I agreed to not hold MES responsible for any issues with the repair. He explained that was not possible and politely declined my offer. I paid him for the $76 service charge to tell me what I already knew and he left. Saturday morning I drove to Lennox and bought the blower wheel for $125. A buddy joined me about 9 am Saturday and we removed the 6 or 8 wires to the motor and the 6 screws/bolts holding the housing in place, sat in the front yard and replaced the wheel (the capacitor checked good on a multimeter and the motor did not smell or appear burned) in about 90 minutes. We replaced the blower and it has been working fine for the last two weeks. I was very disappointed that: 1) I was told MES trucks were fully stocked with parts when clearly they are not; 2) MES refused to purchase an admittedly fairly unique part from Lennox (the manufacturer) and install it (even with an offer to waive any liability or warranty on their part); and 3) suggesting that my most expedient option on this hot summer evening was to spend over $5000 for a new unit. The problem cost me $125 and two hours to deal with (although I spent an extra $76 for the fully stocked parts truck to come to my house and diagnose the problem). Most consumers probably would have suffered through the weekend for the $1600 fix or succumbed to the desire for air conditioning and bought a new unit for four times that. I was disappointed in Metro Energy Savers.

Geoff, as well as some others, was/were instrumental in assisting us throughout the process of replacing our heat pump, coil, air handler, and entire duct system (Yes, a complete new system install). In the end we have a wonderful balanced system that seems to heat and cool appropriately, runs quietly, and was professionally installed. Obviously, the true test will be later this summer, as well as the test of time, but I have no doubt if there are any issues Metro Energy will remedy them. We are very happy with Metro Energy, Geoff and the others (Randy, Raymond, Conner, Stephen, Install Crews, and Tom-Sheetrock guy) for all of the hardwork, and more especially with putting up with me as a difficult customer. Thanks again for your professionalism and hard work.

At first I thought I was getting great service. The repairman was very polite and seemed knowledgeable. He told me what he thought the problem was, how he was planning on fixing it, and the cost. He told me he would wave the service fee, only charge me for the parts, and even give me some free freon for my AC unit. He said he would try to fix the problem quickly because he knew I had a dog and kids in the house. Only later did I find out that the parts he charged me 500 dollars for only added up to be about 100, if that, and the fix only lasted two days before the unit completely blew out. Granted he may not know have that would happen however trying to get the company to come back and look at my AC unit on a Saturday was like pulling teeth and they wanted to charge us a weekend emergency fee even though on their website clearly states that their business NEVER charges for weekend services. All in all I felt very taken advantage of and needless to say we will not be using this company to replace our AC unit.

Service tech was accurate in his diagnosis, but immediately went into salesman mode. Stated options were either replace the compressor for $1600 + $900 R-22 coolant charge (with a $800 fan motor replacement likely needed soon) or replace the AC system for $7000+. After getting a second opinion, found that the coolant service was about 50% overpriced and I could replace the entire condenser unit for ~$2800 (including coolant) with new R-22 compatible equipment, so no need for a new evaporator coil.Note that the Metro techs receive sales commissions, so what's in their interest is not what's in yours. They're competent at diagnosing and fixing issues, but will not give information on cheaper options in order to push expensive sales. I'll not be using them again.

Josh, our technician, arrived on time and before starting his work he reviewed the financial arrangements made while making the appointment, reviewed what he was going to do, and said if any problems were evident he would discuss them with us before making the repairs. He spent a great deal of time checking out the units to make sure they were working correctly. He wore shoe covers when he came into the house. He showed up with a mask. After completing the job he reviewed everything with us. We feel confident with his inspection of our units.

I have been with MES for several years. I have always received great and timely service. Kudos to my service technician Joe. He is intelligent, polite and patient. He showed me a picture of my unit in the attic which was covered in what appeared to be mold spores. He told me about the GPS (Global Plasma Solution) and explained its benefits which includes trapping air borne mold, viruses and bacteria. This is a must have for anyone who has asthma or any other pulmonary related compromised illness. Again,Joe is knowledgeable and kept me informed of what he was doing every step of the way. Great job, Joe and MES! I will request Joe the next time my system is serviced.

He will be the technician I request in the future. This is the 1st hassle free experience I’ve EVER had with an AC company. Some places advertise “24 hour service” but getting them here @ 8:00 pm is near impossible especially w/the hot weather. I didn’t think their prices were unreasonable at all. The technicians were highly professional and did an outstanding job. They worked in the attic, in 130 degree temperatures, during the installation and never once complained. Love Big Bear! Another company told me I needed to replace my HVAC system due to a Freon leak that was getting bigger. I called Big Bear and Bryan spent 1 1/2hrs tracking down the leak and found it! Our A/C broke down Tuesday we were told the part was under warranty but installing was not $1,200 - OUCH. They need a part from the parts department which closed at 3. I called the next day and was told the parts department had determined the price. Called another A/C guy he looked and said tell me and repeat the problem. The service technician who came out was Waymon, he was friendly and professional and knowledgeable . He explained what the problem and how best to take care of it. He answered all of my questions and talked about the service program his company offers. We spoke of options for a new system down the road without any high pressure sales pitch. After checking out the system I have he was able to get me back up and running. I will be using this company again.

I have used Big Bear A/C and Heating for various A/C problems over the years. I have found that they are knowledgeable, efficient, honest and reasonably priced. On our service call, the technician called and was able to push up the appointment time which was welcomed. He put on cloth booties over his shoes before entering the house. Our A/C problem was resolved quickly. I would recommend Big Bear A/C and Heating to anyone looking for honest A/C work.

Christina was my initial contact and she did a great job and expidited my call so that victor the repair tech arrived hours earlier than expected. I called on a saturday and was amazed at the speedy response !!!!! Victor diagnosed the problem quickly and was very thorough. His professional approach and caring attitude was beyond good...it was excellent.metro can be very proud and happy to have such caring associates representing them. Tech came out to do maintenance on AC unit. While performing his task he broke the holding clips for the lower access panel He didn’t try to fix he just shut the outer door. When I asked him to return to fix the unit because it was now making a clanking sound. Is resolution was to tape the panel shut and left

Had a PM done on AC system. The system was fine but he found and fixed a problem that he easily could have ignored. Great Guy. Had them unblock the drain pipe from the upstairs AC to my sink. Did a GREAT job. He spent a lot of time on my system and I feel much better that my system is in excellent working condition. I would recommend them to all my friends.

I was referred to Metro because the company we normally use was booked for the month. Metro was able to come out the same day I called them and arrived earlier than the planned time frame, which was great! Darrol and his assistant got to work immediately and figured out the problem. Our AC went out as the outside temp was around 99 degrees. I called Metro Energy Savers around 5pm and within an hour, their service tech, Waymon, was here and had us back up and running within a half hour. He was professional, thorough, and the repair price was much less than what we were expecting. We will dedinitely give them a call if there are future repairs to be done and when it's time to replace the AC unit. Thanks Metro Energy!

Well I had to call Metro Energy for something else that went wrong on my AC unit! I am glad they sent Josh back! AGAIN! Josh was thorough in doing his best to find the most cost effective solution. He tried to only replace the relay part but that part alone did not stop the AC from running inside when it shut off outside! Ultimately the control board needed to be replaced. He made sure to check to see if my unit was still under warranty. It was which afforded me the opportunity to pay a lower price for the part. I was unaware of the warranty and he could have not shared that but He did! At my request Josh also changed out my thermostat and tested the ac and heat to make sure all was well. Finally I asked him a gazillion and one questions and he answered each one and did not leave until I was completely satisfied with testing and making sure all of my questions were answered. As the temps climbed into the 90s we noticed our AC was not keeping pace. Turned out that some previous electrical work had left our condenser unit disconnected from our electrical panel (the wrong breaker was removed). Ian quickly figured out what was wrong and got us up and running again in no time. Walker air was also extremely responsive, coming out the same day after I couldn’t even get other electricians to return a call. Highly recommended!

Called out Metro Energy Savers for a Summer maintenance check on our AC system. And thankfully we did. After being in our home for only a year we had noticed some minor differences in the way our unit had been running. Herbert, the technician, did a wonderful and thorough job of checking things out and found our capacitor was bad along with a coil and that we were down a full gallon if freon. Herbert took the time to show us the output of a health capacitor vs ours, in plain language along with showing us the meter. I'm sure he stayed longer than he thought he would but he got us fixed up right away and didn't try to upsell us anything. He was so friendly the kids wanted to invite him to stay for supper. If Herbert is the face of Metro Energy Savers, then they are doing something right. The only ding I give MES is not calling 30 minutes prior to heading out as promised and the fact Herbert only had one filter our size on his truck when I had told the appointment take we had two. But, beyond that, we think we could not have made a better choice than MES.

These guys fixed a heating issue with one of my units in December 2022, and sold me an annual service/maintenance contract to come out twice a year. Everything was in good order. Two months later they send out a technician for first service. He told my wife that the former guy that came, didn’t know what he was talking about, was no longer with the company and that the unit was at material risk of going out and quickly/ abruptly tried to sell her a new unit. (I’m not having ANY heating or cooling problems mind you).Completely feel like I was ripped off with the maintenance contract just trying to sell us on a new unit.These guys are new to DFW and I’m a 10 year resident of Frisco. I won’t use these guys again.

They are are on time, if not early for appointments, their pricing is very fair and they do great work. Metro technician came out and did a quick test and try to sell me a whole new ac system for 14k. Called my insurance, they sent out their technician, he said my compressor was out. Paid only $345 for the 10lb of freon and a new compressor. Saved 14k. Horrible tech! (Waymon)

Our AC unit had went out over the weekend so we had contacted metro energy savers. A guy had came out and looked at our unit. He was certain it was one thing and also recommended getting new wires for the outside. He left that evening never fixed anything. The next day I called their company and they sent out a one of their top tech guys. He came looked at our unit. Once he turned it on it started blowing cool air. Then he went on to say we needed a new unit @ $8,100 etc.... so my husband and I decided to get second opinion from Stark Air (highly recommended btw.) their tech at Stark Air said our unit was just fine. They changed out wiring and and we needed up needing a new cuircuit board. So far so good with Stark Air repairs and also at a low price compared to MES. I highly recommend getting a second opinion!

Waymon was punctual, knowledgeable, helpful and courteous. I had a serious problem with my A/C unit and he came out the same day I called. The repair requires a specialized crew and they are scheduled to be here later the same day.Oscar and Moses arrived exactly as promised by Carlos. They were very respectful of my home. They took time when carrying parts in and removing the worn out ones. They stayed until the job was done which was well past when most would have gone home for the day. Oscar was the repair team leader, knew his job well and communicated superbly. They did an excellent job and my unit fired up perfectly the first time.

The tech that was sent out was ok just seemed new and not able to answer questions. Was not happy that our 2 year old system is already having blower motor/relay problems. The tech did the diagnostic and said it was a relay. Said he bypassed the relay and blower motor worked. Ok'd the relay replacement. Once replaced, he then said it was a bad blower motor. He wasn't able to explain why it worked when bypassed but not when new relay put in. The part is covered under manufacturer warranty but still wanted to charge over $500 to fix. And this is on top of them just being out less than a month ago. At that visit, I was told my capacitor needed to be replaced. No mention of that this time around. I don't mind paying for quality work from people I trust, but ever since the Walker took over Metro Energy Savers, I'm having a hard time trusting their techs.

Our a/c stopped working. I called at 9:30 and a technician (his name was Ezequiel and he was awesome!) was at the house by 11:15. We needed a new blower. He left and was back at 3:30 with the new blower. Our a/c was back on by 4:30. Pricing was reasonable and we received a discount since we are seniors. We definitely recommend this company.

We were referred to Big Bear by a good friend and were not disappointed with our selection. Our home has two HVAC units and we were looking for a long-term service provider. Big Bear offers a good value for semi-annual (every six months) maintenance; working on your heater prior to cold weather, and working on your A/C prior to the start of summer. During our heater maintenance appointment, Big Bear located two failing capacitors after showing/explaining to me why they were failing. I hired Big Bear to maintain our system and they've already extended the life by replacing two small parts.And, even though I didn't ask for Big Bear to look at our A/C units, I did discover some rodent damage to the insulation around our condenser units lines outside. I asked if they could help repair that damage - they did so at no extra cost.Highly recommended!

AC wasn’t working and it was 104° outside. Called Paschal Air. The technician Oscar arrived within the hour! Diagnosed the issue and fixed it quickly! He was very thorough and didn’t try to “up sell” me. Won’t use any other company from here on out.

I got Big Bear recommended from a neighbor on the HOA Facebook page. I called, got an appointment same day, they showed up on time, and fixed the problem without any upsell. That's as good as it gets. The problem was more complicated than just the igniter or flame sensor, so I definitely needed a pro.

I am highly disappointed in the work done at my house, by the lack of professionalism by their staff, and I wish I had done business with almost anyone else.My AC died on Memorial Day Weekend, and based on the reviews I read, I gave Metro Energy Savers a call. They sent Jared to my house, and he assured me that if I agreed to buy a new Heat Pump Unit from them, they would go ahead and either get the siezed motor in my AC replaced, or put some window units in my house until the new Heat Pump could get installed on Monday. I agreed.At that point, Jared then told me that he couldn't locate a replacement motor, and that he would have someone bring some window units out. I told Jared that the windows in my house open from the side, and that I didn't think traditional window units would work. He assured me that they would. I am glad that I didn't believe him and went out and purchased a portable AC that I could place in the side sliding window.After three hours another of their techs shows up and then looks at the windows and tells me that they can't put the window units in, and then leaves. At this point it is 10:00 PM. I asked him if he could at least help me get the portable AC I purchased installed. He said no.The next day after several hours of back and forth, they found a motor to install in my AC. That was Sunday. Monday morning the installers were late to my house. When I called in to find out where they were, I was told that there was some missing paperwork that needed to get signed and that they weren't going to be able to do the install until it was signed. I had to argue with them, to get them to roll tucks, and then just bring the paper work with them.The installer themselves were great. Though due to the late start they were unable to finish to the work. I was told they would be back first thing the next morning, and they weren't even though not all of the rooms in my house had the ducts reconnected. I had to argue with them again to get them to come out and finish the job. When they did, the work was still poorly done. With my old AC unit, the air was balanced in each room, with the new system, it is not. The AC blows super hard in the living room and in master bed room, and barely at all in any of the other rooms.When I told them about this, they said that they would need to install a new plenum box with sliders to adjust the air flow. I find this too be odd, since my old unit had balanced flow all over the house, and they didn't replace any of the duct work. Either way by the time we were done, I was so frustrated with them, that I just said fine, and I figured I would call someone else out this fall for correct issue. I thought I was going to be done with them.Well I was wrong. Over the past few weeks they have been harassing me about coming out to my house and taking pictures. Connor was very rude, and honestly I don't want any of them near my home ever again. I can say that there were some really nice people that worked for them, but Connor and Jared are both horrible, and as long as they work for Metro Energy Savers I would recommend that you avoid them at all cost.The $8000 dollars we spent with them feels like a waste of money. I feel as though I could have gotten better service, and higher quality end result from just about anyone else.****UPDATE*****The owner of Metro Energy Savers decided that while he cannot provide a phone call to discuss my dissatisfaction about how my install was handled, he can respond to my google maps review. He and his company are now trying to charge me an additional 1800 dollars, even though I have a quote for them, for 7982. Which included a thermostat that I neither wanted nor received (I made the tech take it back with him, since I already had a smart thermostat).Apparently in his mind, trying to come by my home uninvited two months after the install, in order to get pictures for a rebate, is acceptable. These guys are crooks and do shady business. They should be ashamed of theirselves.

Jim was excellent, seemed to be the book, which is great. However, the ONLY reason I am not giving him 5 stars is cause on my service tickets he wrote no 20x20x1 filter, when in fact I am using filters, just not those.When we had both of our units replaced I still had half a box of expensive filters each from the old ones. These filters are different sizes and go at the end of the return instead on the air handler itself... When I run out of the old filters I will then use the 20x20x1 filters at the air handlers.

I can't say enough great things about Big Bear! Diel has been my go-to A/C guy for 10 years! Last Thursday my A/C went out and temperatures quickly rose inside the house. Diel came out first thing in the morning to diagnose the problem and had his team here by 3:00 with new unit installed by 5:00! My husband and I trust Diel and are confident he only recommends replacing a unit when absolutely necessary. He keeps cost in mind and takes great care of customers. Diego and Saul worked tirelessly in our attic and could not have been more professional. We love you Big Bear!

Paschal are absolute lifesavers! They were out to service our air conditioner the very next day, during the dead of Summer! The repair cost were also HALF the price of what I had quoted to me from 3 other companies, one of which recommended things we didn’t even need! Their service technician Craig was the most knowledgeable, honest and professional individual we’d ever encountered as well. Excellent customer service is so hard to come by these days. So far just a diagnosis but very courteous and thorough and answered my many questions.EDIT: the above was after the first consult and bid. After that, this went way downhill and I have no idea how the Google reviews are so positive for this company. They bid two tasks (replace coil; make airflow uniform) and per the internet provided local estimates, they were high on both. Both jobs were supposed to be done in one day and only the first was. Nice techs. The second task became a nightmare of people not showing up or showing up without parts or communications. I lost count but think it took five visits to complete. One senior guy (Cory) saved the day by coming out twice and establishing a plan for a very simple job. Also today when they finished they didn’t have the right tool (flow meter) to demonstrate the job was done properly.Besides Cory and the techs, the phone games are bad and the internal communications are worse. I’m stunned I didn’t get a call earlier from someone at a high level with at least an explanation as to why this took so much to resolve.Regrettably with no reach out from ownership I have no reason to recommend this contractor, who not only is Big Bear but also run a few other HVAC companies under different names.

Had them out to replace a coil internally and install a new outdoor unit. After install, water was leaking due to another broken part in the internal unit. They came back out immediately to identify the problem and had it fixed promptly. Their dispatch and techs are great, would recommend.

Wanted to support a Local company, in my neighborhood. No follow through, had the guy come out to do regular maintenance and he advised that a few parts needed to be replaced. After $800 bill, I inquired about a sanitation module to be installed. Trying to get information about it from the company is like pulling teeth. I would have purchased once I had researched the differences. After numerous attempts to get more info I have given up. Poor customer service

June 4.Joshua did an excellent job. He was great at explaining what he needed to do and what might need to be done in the future. I felt very comfortable that Joshua wasn’t trying to up sale me . I felt comfortable that he was trying to do me right all the way around. He actually saved me hundreds.July 6 Eric came to fix a drain pipe that came loose from old glue 21 years old.... put a overflow valve on interior pipe( we had one on the pan but more efficient on interior pipe. He was great at figuring out the problem. Had to body crawl under heavy insulation to figure out the problem. Really appreciate Eric.Aug 27.2019 Had Eric come because we had water coming through the ceiling. Turns out to be a roofing problem. Always appreciate Eric going the extra mile every time he comes out.Oct 22 2019 Eric came out to get us ready for winter. Did a great job as always. I always like that I get a 30 minute notice before he comes.

The staff is hardworking and respectful -- they are willing to maintain our old equipment (even when it is past due for an upgrade), and they never try to upsell us on parts or services we don't want.Our most recent experience, our fall system checkup, was no exception. Jorge Diaz, was a professional from the time he arrived at our residence. After he diagnosed the problem, he wasn’t 100 % sure of his findings so he called in his manager to verify is final diagnosis. After a second set of eyes viewed the issue, it was determined that a part was not necessary. So this call actually saved me money.I know there maybe some out there that are thinking well Jorge didn’t really diagnose the problem correctly but I’m glad he was humble enough to say let someone else check my work. They both could have very easily said yeah the other part is needed but they didn’t. To me this shows a high level of trust and would definitely recommend them.

Josue was prompt, friendly and thorough. He was very careful not to track dirt in, putting booties over his shoes and laying a drop cloth from the door to the ac/heating closet. He explained everything he was doing and was extremely courteous. Since mine was a recent install, he checked to be sure everything was done correctly, checked each vent throughout the house to assure proper airflow, checked the filter and checked for traces of carbon monoxide gas. Before leaving he gave me an estimate for duct cleaning, in which I was interested, and explained membership in the Comfort Club, in which I was not. No pressure, just answers. :)

Mo arrived timely and was very transparent throughout the process of inspecting both of our A/C units. In addition to properly explaining any repairs needed, he helped us identify a plumbing issue that other vendors had previously ignored. Outside of the obvious professionalism by Mo, he even navigated a house of 3 kids with positive energy while my son asked him 100 questions about his work. He took the time to actually show him what he was doing and answer all the random questions a 5 year old could think of. I couldn't recommend a person more to come be honest and efficient with A/C and plumbing issues.

Metro replaced one of our AC-furnace units (HVAC system) at home about 6 years ago. Have had nothing but constant problems & expenses with the system.They could improve their service, quality, being more honest, and customer care. Owner would not return any calls. One head technician was great, but hard to get him - only if things got real bad. Things just keep going wrong because they would not try to fix he whole problem - chose to let it wear out in stages, I guess, hoping we wouldn't notice.Very upset that they didn't let us know there was a problem with Carrier Coils - we could have gotten it taken care of. Instead, cost us over $4,400 as things kept going wrong. When I contacted the class action suit, on Carrier coils, it was too late. The legal representatives told me that Metro and all suppliers were responsible to let their customer's know.Would not recommend them to anyone.

Metro was there that same day at earlier than the 2pm-5pm time frame which if your AC is out you don't care the time you just want someone there! Randy then accessed very quickly were to look. Assured me he could get it taken care of and had me wait only 15 minutes if that before he came back and showed me the exact issue. He explained why it happens and also directly how much it cost to fix. This is all great. Just get the problem, have a resolution, explain the cost. This is great! I don't need sugar coating I just need the problem resolved and at a reasonable cost which I felt like it was. Randy did want to do a service to the outside fan box but we did not have the money for that. Overall great experience and will use again!!!

Amazing customer service! We had our A/C go out; we called and were able to get an appointment that same day. Originally, it was thought to be a simple broken wire but two hours after leaving the A/C still wasn't working. We called that night to let them know and Diel was back at our house within 20 minutes to fix it.Turns out there was a second problem with a broken fuse. In the process of trying to fix it, Diel accidentally broke the circuit board for the entire unit. He let us know what happened and replaced the board at his own expense.It is amazing to still find honest repair services. I'd highly recommend Big Bear.

Our AC was not cooling so we called the home warranty company. They would be happy to help and would send someone on Monday - it was Friday in July in Texas....that will not get it. I reached out to my neighborhood FB page and Big Bear was recommended so I called. The call was around noon on Friday and by 1:30 a technician was at the house and shortly after we were cool again. Great service, fair price and we will for sure recommend and use again should the need arise. Thank you Big Bear!

Called shortly before 1300 and Waymon was out about a couple hours later. Took the old blower motor out and was gone in less than 10 minutes. Came back about an hour later with a new one and had it installed and my heat restored in less than 10 minutes again. Outstanding service!!!

I was initially sceptical when the technician recommended a complete AC system replacement. However, we had so many issues with our current system cooling during the summer months that we decided to give it a shot. Our previous system was a hodge podge of various replacement parts and fixes done over the last 12 years. Our new system is an American Standard (Trane brand) and it works great so far! If we set it on a certain temperature, it will actually get to that temperature within a matter of minutes rather than hours like our old system. We'll see how this upcoming brutal Dallas summer plays out, but so far so good.

Instead of trying to sell me new equipment, and leaving me to swelter away like the first company i called, he actually heard me out, was polite, educated me on how the system works, and tried really hard to ensure i wasn't left without a cooling home. I had a coil go out under Carrier warranty. Ezequiel came out first to diagnose original problem and gather all warranty info.Once part came in Bryan and Ezequiel came out to install part and refill system. They arrive on time, very professional, with shoe covers and drop cloths as a standard procedure. I was very pleased with service done and both technicians. I hope I never need them again but if I ever have another issue I will use Big Bear!

Due to a bad experience I had with these people two years ago, I have asked them, twice, not to call me again. They called me again today. The bad experience was I had a drain pan issue where it was running out of the overflow, the main pipe was blocked. They were out here twice, never pulled the top off the pipe in the attic, told me I needed a complete new unit, and had to get a Heat Pump to save the most money. The problem was I had a new sink put in and obstruction in the pipe at bottom, top had a big piece of mold from standing water. The third company figured it out. For half the price I was charged, twice, two visits for them to not be able to fix it. Oh, I also ended up buying a unit for $1800 less than there quote, installed. I also did not have to get a heat pump. I would recommend you avoid these people at all cost. If they ever get your number, they will call at least yearly, usually more. I highly recommend you avoid them.

We have been using Big Bear A/C & Heating since its very early days when it was a one-man shop. Diel doesn't oversell, and kept our A/C unit running long past our neighbor's similar (garbage) units that were put in when our neighborhood was built. As the company has expanded, we've found any technician that has come out to be timely, knowledgeable & offer us options - not just replacement. Pricing is reasonable & fair - but more importantly - I know can trust them. Highly recommend.

My service Technician was Waymon. He was on time, pleasant and he checked the unit inside and outside. He apologized for the heat blast he needed to do to check the system for the fall/winter. My AC stopped working and Paschal was able to come out same day! The customer service rep. that answered (Melanie I believe) was phenomenal from scheduling the service and providing information. She was kind and helpful. They provide specific text updates with a picture of your tech and a link to see live GPS for arrival and distance away.The tech, Alan, that came out later that day was just amazing. He was attentive, very clear and informatitive when it came to the problem and solution. Alan also recommended the membership Paschal provides. It truly felt like he was genuine in making sure we received the best value and looking out for any future repair costs. Alan even went above and beyond as was one of my vents were messed up and not staying intact with the screw. Alan searched for the correct screw and repaired the vent to make sure it was intact with the wall.This was my first experience with Paschal and I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND them to anyone. Carlos in the office was able to get us in queue so that a technician could come out on a Saturday. Josue arrived within 4 hours of my initial call. He was courteous and informative. Josue quickly was able to identify and repair the problem. The diagnostic fee was only $75, and compared to a $350 diagnostic fee I payed for a plumber a while back, this was quite a relief. All potential expenses were explained to me before anything was done, so I had an idea of the cost range. Josue even went above and beyond working in the rain. He also explained to me the life expectancy of my AC unit and some future HVAC industry updates, so I know what to expect in years to come. I received exceptional service at a very reasonable cost!

They came to fix a leak, and in the process and in front of me, let out all the freon into the air breaking EPA laws and charging us for 12 lbs of freon @ $100+ per pound. I called them multiple times and asked to talk to a manager or the owner, but the secretary never let me talk to anyone. Metro Energy Savers installed our unit about 5 years ago. So, when we had an issue, I immediately called on MES. My unit was not cooling. The first technician Robert came out to fix the issue by unclogging the drain line and he was quick. He wrapped up in about 30 to 40 minutes, however, the unit never cooled. I waited a couple of hours on Saturday hoping it would cool, however, it did not. I was not happy and called MES back and told them of the ongoing issue. Candy advised that someone could come out, however, it would be considered an emergency unless I could wait until Monday. I then explained to Candy that I had already paid for a service and the issue did not get resolved, nor, did I want to wait until Monday. I needed her to resolve the issue without me paying any additional cost because the same issue was still occurring. Candy called me back and said Brandon was on his way. Once Brandon arrived, we explained in detail what had occurred and the continuing issue. Brandon took time to investigate, diagnosis, and fix the issue. He spent almost 2 hours here yesterday ensuring that our unit was cooling as it should have been. Brandon was knowledgeable, courteous, and a Subject Matter Expert in his specific discipline, HVAC. I finally had peace of mind about our unit's capabilities. Brandon Harvey saved our relationship and future business opportunities with MES. Decarlos came out to look at my outside condensing unit that was spinning backwards. After another company came out earlier that week and quoted me a $2,500 repair to fix it, Decarlos fixed the problem in 5 minutes for the base service fee charge. He was very helpful and explained the issue thoroughly. I’ll be calling Paschal and Decarlos going forward for AC repairs.

Jessie & Clint installed our new air conditioner system this past Saturday and we couldn't have asked for anyone more polite or professional gentlemen than these two. They arrived a little before 9:00 a.m. and they stayed until the job was completely finished which wasn't until 9:00 p.m at night. With the temperature of 100 degree outside, in the attic, it had around 120 degree or so & they didn't a bit, well, maybe a little, but they got they the job done. We are so pleased.And, I have to give a great recommendation for Josh, the service technician that came out Sept. 1st when the air first went & then came back out Friday when the part came in finally, but unfortunately that was not the problem. Anyway, with Josh explaining things to me, we decided on the new system & now we are very Happy Customers. Thank You Josh, Jessie, Clint, Connor, ChuckI do have a little complaint, though. Tuesday & Wednesday, waiting to find out about when the part was coming in & when Josh would by, I had to call several times, instead of someone calling me to let me know. That is my only complaint.

Metro Energy Savers calls to let you know when the service tech is coming. They also send you a text with the name of the service tech and their picture, which I really appreciate. Their service techs are prompt, courteous, and friendly. I was told step by step what the tech was doing. Victor was my service guy and did an excellent job. I have used Metro Energy Savers for years now. I recommend them to any one needs AC or heating work done.

I recently hired Paschal Plumbing and Electric to replace 2 Water Heaters and replace a 20-year-old Airconditioner and Furnace. James the plumber as well as Carlos the HVAC Technician did a very professional job. They did not create a mess and cleaned up thoroughly. The 2 installations passed County Inspection with no issues. We were thoroughly pleased with the work they did and will use Paschal for all our future Plumbing and HVAC needs.

Unfortunately we can not recommend Paschal Air. They have bought out Metro and Walker A/C companies that we previously used to purchase and then service our A/C system. We originally purchased our Daikin home A/C from Metro (April 2020), who was subsequently purchased by Walker and then by Paschal. The service technician qualuty has become worse after the two acquisitions. The last two times we needed service by Paschal, the technicians were polite and friendly. However. They don't seem to be very well qualified and unfamiliar with our Daikin unit.The latest service call (Tuesday, June 20) almost became an $1,800 mistake. The technician was not able to accurately diagnose the system issue. Not cooling properly. He said the system had adequate freon and the issue was with the EEV and coil. He said both had to be replaced. The good news the parts were under warranty. The bad news is labor and freon replacement would be $1,800. Wow!!! This is a 3 year old system.I called a different Daikin service company. They came out and found caps missing from the inlets where freon is input to the system. He added a small amount of freon and the system began to work immediately. Ultimately, the Daikin technician had to add over 4lbs of freon. Apparently, the freon had leaked over time from the inlets that were left uncapped (from a previous Paschal call). The system is now cooling and functioning properly. Thank goodness due to the extreme heat we are experiencing.The other Daikin service technician will be back next week to confirm the system is working and there are no leaks in the system.Sadly, we had just used Paschal to install a mini split at our home (for an added on room) and have lost confidence in Paschal's technicians. Buyer beware. Always get a second opinion.

Would highly recommend Metro Energy savers !!They took great care of me and my needs. I had to replace an 18 year old unit and JR, my service tech, made sure I was comfortable with the whole process.The sales, the financing, the service was all handled in a very professional and knowledgeable manner. I am a single woman and the decisions involved can seem a little daunting when you hear so many horror stories and not sure who you can call and trust to do the job right. So far, I have been very pleased. You won't regret calling them for your HVAC needs.

I scheduled a routine maintenance to check my AC unit before turning it on. And the technician did a great job &didn’t try to sell me anything above and beyond the service that I requested and he thoroughly checked out the system and even washed off the exterior compressor. Metro Energy installed my new unit five years ago in and it’s been great.

I contacted Stephen, who is the service manager, because of a bad experience where a service tech, Josue, came to my house and diagnosed a problem with one of my AC units and stated that I had a “bad control board” and it would be $500 to replace. After he left I went into the attic and long story short realized that the plug that my unit was plugged into was actually bad and fixed the issue with an extension cord. The next day when I called to complain it took two days for Stephen to contact me and that is after I called back to see why I haven’t been contacted. Then Stephen suggests that he comes out and takes a look at it, even though my unit is working fine, so I agree and set up an appointment at 11am, well at 12pm his secretary calls and say that Stephen was running late, is now a good time...needless to say if I would’ve went and looked for myself this would have probably been a good review on how nice Jouse was and how satisfied I was, but luckily I caught the broken plug or else I would have been out $500. So beware and double check these guys because you could be the next victim.

Very knowledgeable and trusting technician, his name was Jared I felt very comfortable talking to him as he explained and broke down all questions I might have had and explain to me what was going on with my system what they could do to help me and the cheapest way to go and all the other available options that I had.He explain five options with the pluses and minuses, pros and cons. No pressure call just helpful and informative advice. Willing to work with me regardless of what option I chose. They have excellent financing available to help those black myself so don't have that good of credit score. Jared specifically respectful to me and very knowledgeable. I have called Big Bear A/C and Heating for my HVAC needs on two separate occasions and both times have received superior service. They email me when my technician is on his way. I have had the same technician for both visits and he is very polite and thorough, clearly explains his findings and what he will do to fix the problem. They are respectful of keeping your home clean by coming in with booties and bringing drop clothes to put under your attic entry stairs to keep flooring clean. Their pricing is fair. I will call them in the future should further needs arise and I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of HVAC service/repairs.

I can do nothing but rave about the great service from Big Bear Air and Heating I received today. My fifteen year old system stopped working yesterday in this 99 degree heat. I sent an email request late last night and received a call from them at 7:30 this morning to put me on the standby schedule.At around 9:00 I received a call asking if I was available in 10 minutes and I was thrilled. Diel arrived shortly afterwards and was fantastic. He checked the system and explained everything to me. He was able to get it up and running in 20 minutes and I am a happy camper.I can't recommend this great company enough. If you're looking for an honest AC repair then call Big Bear!

Had a brand new complete system put in my home 2 years ago. I have had nothing but problems out of it. Of course the part's are covered but the labor is not. After spending over 10k on a complete system I feel like I was burned. I've had to have multiple techs out and now it's 100 plus and it's stopped again. At this point I'm looking for a new company to put a Trane system in and write this up as a very bad experience. I just can't bring myself to refer this company or it's product's.

Their service is getting worse and worse and worse. I had them out 3 weeks ago to fix my upstairs AC.....it is not blowing cold again today. I called them and the earliest they can get someone here is 24 hours from now. How does a company that is open 24 hours not service you in a timely manner. If it was a fresh call I would understand, but their repair they just did is not working and again I have to wait. This is pretty pathetic....It might be a good idea for others to call Reliant......this used to be a great company....10 years ago....not these days. I am pretty upset with their whole service. I called and spoke with Ashley.....all she would do is tell me that I have to wait until tomorrow.

My elderly parents AC was replaced 18 months ago by a company that walker has since purchased. The capacitor went out two weeks ago, but is under warranty. Walker came to check it out and told my parents they had two choices - wait 3 days with no AC in 106 temps for it to be covered under warranty, or pay them $400 right now and they would fix it on the spot. No offers of temporary Equipment to cool the house while they wait for warranty parts. This is the residence of My 90 year old grandfather suffering from dementia and my 70+ parents. What choice did they have from a health and safety perspective except to pay $400?! This is taking advantage of the elderly at its finest. I immediately called Walker after hearing about this and was told a manager would call me back. It's been one week and I still haven't heard anything. Walker appears to be a good company with great reviews, but this was not our experience at all. Don't get comfy thinking your AC is under warranty with them - apparently they'll hold you hostage in these extreme temps. I will be reporting them to the BBB.

He want it $1600 dollars, so I call the factory that make the air conditioner they told me that It was too much...to get a new thermostat....over price....so they give me another dealer in fort worth...now In waiting on the quote...will keep you posted. We can always count on Diel for quick and reliable service. We left a message on the office machine today (Saturday) advising our heater wasn’t working. First off, I have been with this company for 4 years now. They originally installed my HVAC when I first moved to Arlington and have been servicing since. Always professional and doing great work, yearly. This most recent time I was doing a seasonal maintenance job and Oscar was my technician. He was courteous and very professional. He informed me about damage to my unit and as well as offered a great improvement item to my HVAC since there was some growth inside my system. He came back the next day and installed the new UV system that he recommended to help with the growth as well as the connector outside that was original to the house 30 years ago😅😅.The only thing I'm sad about was it wasn't until now that I was offered a membership that I didn't know existed until Oscar asked. Make sure that all your technicians are like Oscar to let us have the decision to join or not! I joined immediately and it was very inexpensive. Thanks Oscar!

AMAZING SERVICE! My A/C was over 30 years old and was not cooling. My brother, who bought a unit two days before from Metro Energy Savers, highly recommended me to call Metro Energy Savers.I called Metro Energy Savers to come and check it out. It turned out, that I needed a lot of work done. I had my 30 yr old unit replaced by Jesse (technician) at Metro Energy Savers. Jesse is an excellent tech. Jesse is extremely professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. Unfortunately, they weren't able to install the new system the same day. So, Jesse offered to loan us a window unit until he was done installing our new system. Jesse is a hard worker. He stayed late each day to finish the job. Jesse is a great asset to Metro Energy Savers. Jesse went above and beyond the company values. I love the entire staff, great customer service and very professional. I also, want to give a special thanks to Mr. Connor in finance who worked hard to get me approved. I am so happy that I had a honest and reliable company to call on.

Very impressed that they were at my house by 10:30 am after I called at 8am this morning. Josh was excellent. My AC issue was resolved and I was back at my office before Noon. Big Bear recently installed an entirely new heating and air conditioning system in my house. I chose the company for several reasons. Their price was competitive, their representative was professional, and their warranty. The initial representative set a time to be at the house and he was on time. When the mechanics arrived to perform the work, they were prompt and efficient. The entire project was completed in one day. I am more than happy with Big Bear.

The absolute best service in DFW. I wish I could give six stars! Incredibly expedited A/C service, even in 100+ degree weather. Technician Chris was exceedingly friendly. Installing tech Eli was quick and efficient. A/C was back up and running in less than 24 hours. Even when a billing mistake arose, Asst Manager Caleb was understanding and very quick to make things right. Safe to say that Paschal has a customer for life here!

Absolutely HORRIBLE service. I called them on a Monday (5/6/19) and set up an appointment with them for a service call for Wednesday, between 8:00am and 11:00am. Jean said that they would call me 30 minutes prior to them showing up. I took the day off work and waited for them. Absolutely nothing ... NO one showed up, NO phone call, NO apology, NO nothing. I guess that maybe they went out of business in those two days. I ending up calling a GOOD company who serviced my system the next day. I strongly advise AVOIDING Metro Energy Savers. Thanks for nothing.

Best technician ever! Handled issues that seemed couldn't be reconciled by other companies. My upstairs has never been the same temperature - always much warmer than downstairs-- & it is today & was last night 4 the first time since I purchased this home 3 years ago! I am thrilled! Plus... I have had an ongoing problem for over months & was weary of no one finding or fixing the issue. Darrol found it in just a few minutes & the system was working again & has been now for almost 24 hours. I believe it is finally repaired! Also excellent rate & cost to fix. Thank you Metro! I would highly recommend Big Bear for your HVAC needs. I asked 3 people and all three gave me the same name; Big Bear.I called them and they came out within a few days. I had a few other companies tell me I needed to do all sorts of things including adding ducts, etc. Big Bear tested my system and adjusted the baffles so one of our rooms that was always hotter, now is equal to the others. All for about 1/10th the price of the other recommendations by competitors to get the job done.I would highly recommend them, Brian was my technician and was excellent.

Bought the maintenance plan when installing my complete new HVAC last year. They discovered & cleared my A/C drain that I didn’t know was clogged. And blew out & tested my secondary drain & cleaned A/C condenser. Very impressive team of guys!!!!!!

The technician was great! He explained as much detail of the service that I was interested to know. I signed up for the maintenance program and explained that includes 2 services (1 for the furnace & 1 for the AC) and the discounts involved when repairs are needed. Thanks Big Bear!Update: The technician found my Evaporator case cracked during his seasonal visit. Big Bear provided two estimate options.1.) To remedy just the leak.2.) Repair the leak and convert to the latest refrigerant.I chose to convert. I think the efficiency gain will give me a return on investment, reducing my total out of pocket costs. Thanks for offering estimate choices!!The install crew arrived promptly. The owner arrived with all the new parts and to review what will be completed. Upon completion, a separate technician came by to confirm all the work and make some final adjustments.This really provided a level of confidence the work was completed correctly! Thanks Big Bear! I'll let my family + friends know about you!

These guys are awesome! My 8yr old AC just went out. I called the company that installed it. They came out and immediately said oh, your compressor is gone, you need a new compressor, new coil, etc. Wanted $6,000+ to fix it. So I did some research online, found Big Bear, and gave them a call. They came out, and in less than 15 minutes diagnosed the problem as just a broken fan, and a bad circuit breaker. Fixed me up the same day. If you want someone who is friendly, honest, and knows their stuff, call Big Bear!

I have used several HVAC service companies over the last 29 years of home ownership. I received the best installation of a new home system from Metro Energy Savers in 2014 and received prompt professional service during an AC outage during the hottest September on record. The technician showed me the bad part, gave me repair options and provided the most compelling information for adding a service contract. It’s been 2 years since they installed the new unit and every summer since we’ve had issues. Anytime we drop the temp the temp in the house jumps up a degree. For instance, when my husband came home today he dropped the temp from 73 to 72 and the temp has continued to rise in the house. THIS IS NOT NORMAL! IT SHOULD BE ABLE TO KEEP UP! I don’t care how hot it is outside! We paid for an 18 seer but the unit outside says 15 seer but they are certain it’s an 18?!?! Also, last year we had them put in another return air thinking perhaps that was the problem. We are STILL having the same problems with the extra return air. Oh, and , we had to pay for it too even though it was the salesman fault because he neglected to tell us when he sold us the unit. Our house is only 1400 square feet this new unit should be able to keep up and it doesn’t. We’ve had numerous technicians out here and they continue to tell us that nothing is wrong. CLEARLY SOMETHING IS WRONG! We will be filing a complaint with the BBB. Save yourself the misery and go with another company. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!

I’ve used Metro Energy Savers for a few years. I’ve had different technicians and all have been very friendly, professional, and patient explaining what is going on. When possible, they gave me options and let me decide how to spend my money. Last year I had an old unit go out. It was over 14 years old. Today it went out this week. They were over the same day and took care of everything. I didn’t have to pay the service fee or the part they had to replace.If you need someone to take care of your home, I highly recommend this group of hard working professionals.

Walker Air Plumbing and Electric does our yearly maintenance for our heating and cooling. They are always on time and super professional as well as detail oriented. They send a full report of everything that was checked during each visit as well as change out the filter for us. Highly recommend this company. The gentleman came in nice friendly. He showed me the part that needed replacing and got it fixed fairly quickly. Then something went wrong and it stopped working after I paid and he left. I called the company back and soon enough the technician came in and found he'd goofed and fixed the issue no charge. Out of three companies I had bid on just diagnostic they were by far the cheapest. They will be my first call if anything happens in the future.

Great experience with Big Bear. I needed consulting on how to cool my upstairs better. Other companies just wanted to replace the whole system, but Diel found a leak that required only the replacement of one component. He also suggested changes that improved airflow for minimal cost. My house is cooler than it's been in 6 years and my electric bills have gone down significantly.

Tech showed 42 degree air blowing, $1,800.00 later and 5 minutes after they left, blowimg 85 degrees air. Called the office and they want to charge an extra $199.00 for tech to turn around. Unit is still under manufacturing warranty (the serial number reflects manufacturing date), but tech said it was well over 10 years of (5 yrs old). Tech insisted on a whole new replacement, inside and out. That's what happens when your techs work off of commission, they are trained to sell you on unnecessary items.

This is not the first time that Waymon has been at my house. He is always prompt, polite and professional. He is very thorough and quick to describe the problem and explain the how to fix it. He has always provided me with knowledgeable service and goes beyond the necessary efforts needed to repair. While air conditioning service is never inexpensive he makes sure he gives more than you pay for. I have never felt like I paid more than fair money.

I am a DIY person and usually work on my home projects myself, but when my 14 y/o AC units needed replacement I knew I would need to find a good, reputable contractor because AC installation requires licensing, experience and specific tools, which are quite expensive. After receiving several quotes I decided to go with Big Bear for a few reasons. First, they were the only company that thoroughly examined my old units, measured supply and return ducts and had a technical discussion with me, while others mostly had a usual salesperson talk. Second, Diel was open to work with me on the initial quote and adjust it to my needs. Finally, they had excellent reviews on multiple online resources.Naturally, I had many questions about equipment and installation process. Diel was very responsive and open to discuss technical details. The installation was quick and although it wasn't completely wrinkle free, Diel listened to all my comments and went above and beyond to make sure everything was done right and to my complete satisfaction.Overall, my experience with Big Bear was great. Diel is one of the nicest persons I ever worked with. I really appreciate his professionalism, friendliness and dedication to customer satisfaction. I wouldn't hesitate working with Big Bear again and can totally recommend them.

WORST!!!! I paid $100 for a salesman to come out to my house and try and sell me a 11k+ new unit. I was told for $1500 I could “bandaid” my ac unit, and that he took pictures and put a description of exactly what needed to be fixed. The pictures were blurry and not of anything helpful!!! I then replaced all the parts mentioned on the invoice and it did not fix the unit! They either are VERY DISHONEST or don’t have a clue what they are doing. They also said they would be by in the afternoon, I called at 5:30pm and they said they were still coming out but weren’t going to let me know!!! They showed up at 9pm and I paid $100 for them being here for 5 mins and didn’t do anything.I had another guy come and repair the unit for $175. STEER CLEAR!!!!!!!!!! Unless you just want to be sold a new unit.I would love a refund.

You know whoever invented AC should be made a saint. I use Big Bear AC for both my home and rental property, for routine maintenance as well as repairs. One of the best things is, they come ON TIME, often even early, though they notify you when they're on their way. None of these 4 hour windows when they arrive HOURS after. Very reliable.

Response time was great, tech was friendly.I was quoted $1,700 to repair a blower motor with a 6 day lead time. I was able to source and replace the part for $360 after tax, installed it myself, it was just 4 screws.I was also quoted by Metro that they could replace the inside unit for $4,600 the next day if I did not want to wait 6 days for the motor. I felt that I was being bated into replacing my unit unnecessarily.On the brightside my wife now respects me.Thanks for the $76 diagnostic though.

We were long-time customers of Big Bear AC, but now that they have merged with several companies to become a much larger company, there has been no decrease in quality. Our AC unit stopped working Saturday night. I sent a message through their website on Sunday morning, and even though they were closed, they responded right away and made an appointment for Monday morning. That's great service!

I want to thank the men from Metro Energy Savers for quickly responding to my call when our A/C unit in September on a 90 degree day. Jesse & David arrived with a complete new unit & spent the day removing the old & installing our new unit up in our attic & outside. They spent most of the day up in the attic working with little breaks. They were very professional introducing themselves & explaining what all would take place. They were very careful & respectful of my home! They placed coverings on their shoes & cloths down to protect the floor. There were times that I hardly knew they were here. I feel very comfortable in recommending these two gentlemen for any service that you could need. Let me start by saying my technician (Sammy) was incredible. Once he arrived, he was professional, knowledgeable and willing to take the time to explain the issue and what options were available to me. I had a blocked drain line on one of my 3 A/C units and the charge was $275 and the service fee was waived (as promised).Unfortunately, there were some significant issues with the office/scheduling process. I made my initial appointment and was told my technician was confirmed to arrive between 8am-12pm. I received a text confirming the time window, which I appreciated. On my appointment day, my technician did not appear during the promised window, so I finally called around 2pm to I let the office know the technician had not arrived. I was told he was on other appointments and would be arriving later in the day and it could be as late as 10pm. I explained I was told he would arrive between 8am-12pm and was told they don’t promise arrival times.I explained my previous conversation and my confirmation text and was quickly dismissed. Whatever! Then I get a call around 6:30pm letting me know that my technician’s van broke down and that we would be running late. I then received another call around 8pm letting me know he would not be coming. So, I sat at home for 12 hours with no service. That sucked, but you can’t control auto problems so I chalked it up to bad luck and figured they will do what they can to make amends.The gentleman that called me did apologize but made no effort or offer to account for my troubles. He offered to reschedule and said he assure me I would be first on the list that morning I was rescheduled. Then the day before my appointment, I called the office to confirm my appointment since I did not receive an email/text confirmation. They confirmed my appointment and said I was first on the list that next morning. Come appointment day, I waited and waited and waited and Sammy finally showed up,at 3:15pm. He had no idea what I had been dealing with but did apologize for the issues and Was amazing at doing his job.I gave my experience 3 Stars, which I thought was pretty generous considering I sat at home for 19 hours waiting for service. The office staff was friendly but they need to tighten up their knowledge of their policies and recognize when a customer’s had a bad experience and do what they can to remedy it in a tangible way. I did later learn that they give preference to their customers who are on their maintenance plan and that’s why my promised times were not delivered on.

Perhaps one of the most professional, courteous and prompt experiences I have ever encountered. Plus, their prices are very reasonable. I called on a Sunday evening because my air had gone out. I was told it would be a couple of hours as there were several people in front of me. About 45 minutes later I get a call from Justin, the technician, stating that he would be at my house in about 30 minutes. He came as promised and resolved my issue in about 30 minutes. He was very patient, courteous and professional and took his time explaining to me the reason why my air did not work. I have had no problems with my air since Justin fixed it. Don’t normally do reviews, but felt like these guys warranted one. Our AC went out, and I called Paschal’s, as they had acquired the company that installed the units. Thinking it’s an AC issue in the summer, I’m already expecting to be told the next available appointment would probably be in 2 or 3 days at least. Very surprised when the receptionist told me they would have someone out later that afternoon, and even more surprised when the tech called me to let me know he had arrived 30 minutes later! Oscar was super nice, let me watch over his shoulder and explained everything as he went. They had responded and fixed everything in under 3 hours. Crazy fast service. Very impressed.

Not a great experience with Paschal. My 3 year old HVAC system was not cooling. The technician charged me $388 to perform a 15 minute service to check for leaks in the system. He told me my evap coil was bad and it would cost $1500. It didn’t feel right, so I called another business for a 2nd opinion. Turns out Paschal’s troubleshooting practices are not top notch. The 2nd business replaced a valve on the unit (for $550) and everything is working like new. I do not trust Paschal’s practices and will never use them again!

Initially, it thought this company was good, but after a service man came out and didn't do anything and charged me 300.00 dollars, They told me to do the job I needed done would be almost 1000.00 on top of the 300.00. These are the same people we bought our air conditioning system from. Won't do business with them again.

Superior service and quality for the money. Just replaced both HVAC systems and upstairs furnaces in our home. I received 5 estimates before hiring Big Bear. Big Bear was the most reasonable and gave us a $600 discount up front because we were replacing both units. Plus, their financing arm offered 3 years at 0% interest. If/when you need to replace your A/C system... I highly recommend that you call Big Bear for an estimate.

They came out, our AC was turning on but not cooling. The guy looked around at the unit in the attic and came down telling us we needed to replace absolutely everything for 15k, broke down pricing of parts. We decided to think on it, after he left our thermostat would no longer turn on, and now that we are doing things on our own we have found wires put back in properly or not at all. We looked up the parts mentioned to see they wanted $300 for about $30 worth of parts. The guy read from a script, like a telemarketer, when he arrived on site. I do not reccomend, definitely check their yelp reviews. Those seem to be more true to what they are about.

My AC unit is out and I had them here to price the replacement. I was told I would have a price back by the end of the day and still no price. It is 10:50 pm and no price. While the guy was nice enough, it does not help me to get my AC unit replaced or make a decision. Only gave a star because it made me.

Benjamin did an excellent job during our maintenance check on the AC. He worked quickly and quietly to service both the outside unit and the one in the attic. He also took time to answer questions that came we had regarding our heating system from last winter. There were a couple of issues that came up about the maintenance plan we had already paid for, and he contacted the main office to resolve them before he left. We will definitely ask for Benjamin for any future services.

I’ve used Paschal for several yrs for our furnace/A/C. I’ve used their membership program for quarterly maintenance and been very happy with their service. They also are very responsive to emergencies too. My A/C just stopped working this week and I called them at 3:30pm and they had Raphique Campbell at my house by 5pm. He was very friendly and informative and explained what the problem was and what I could do to help avoid it. I highly recommend them.

Hottest summer on record and our AC goes out. We were told a minimum of two weeks and we live in TEXAS!! I was referred to Paschal by another company who was booked to the teeth. The next morning a very polite, professional technician was at our door. My A/C unit went out last night. Matthew came this afternoon to troubleshoot my system. Since my unit is 22 years old, the “bandaid” fix was not a good idea and probably would not have worked. Matthew gave me an estimate of work necessary to replace my old unit, both inside and out, with a 10-year warranty. He set me up with financing and an installation date of this Monday. He also offered window units that we could borrow. I’m very pleased with Matthew as well as his company, Walker A/C & Plumbing.

We have used Metro Energy Savers for years. The company as a whole is great. They are very accommodating with schedules. I love that they text me a picture of the tech with his name so I know exactly who is coming to my door. They are helpful to explain any concerns or problems. The techs are very professional and friendly. They are considerate of my home and wear shoe covers so they don’t track in mud during in-climate weather. Yes... they serviced my unit even in bad weather.

Great Job!! I was really concerned that our AC wasnt going to get fixed the same day it was diagnosed because the demand with summer heat was so high. The manager in charge of dispatching techs never got tired of my calls and kept assuringg me they would be here. They kept their promise and the technician persevered past 9pm and followed through the next day on some details as promised. I will try to keep it short, as I can feel this experience becoming one of those reviews that you skim through because it is too long.We were told they would install a new unit Monday, then it was changed to Wednesday, and then Thursday. They got here at 8AM on Thursday with no prior time being communicated (we were going to call at 9AM to check on when they would be here).Install team finished the job around 3PM, and very quickly left, seemingly in a hurry. They left bulky trash in our front yard that now has to get picked up (insulation, boxes, etc).AC didn't work 10 minutes after they left. Called a tech out to come fix it, and they told us the install team did not drain the system properly. They put a patch job on it and told us another appointment would need to be scheduled to permanently repair it. 30 minutes after the tech left, the AC shut off again.It is now 9PM and the AC still doesn't work, I have trash in my front yard, and I am out $18k.I will say, I almost made this a 2 star rating because both techs and the office I talked to were all extremely nice and helpful. However, with this latest outage of the AC, I just can't bring myself to up the rating.Beware.

Our a/c was leaking water AGAIN, and we called Metro. Chris Dybvig came out and investigated the source of our problems with the a/c. It is 15 years old and had multiple problems. We just needed a new unit and Chris helped us through this purchase. He explained various methods of payment and started installation the next day. His installers were beyond excellent, very clean, very friendly and nice and above all else most knowledgeable. There were a few bumps, but Chris came every day until they were solved. We probably bought from Metro because of Chris. We like that he is our a/c person solely now and we feel we can count on him. Chris is just the nicest, most knowledgeable technician and person. Great communication and follow up. I called this morning and was told between 8a and noon. Around 11 the office called me back and said a tech was in the area if I was ready. I confirmed and the technician showed up about 10 minutes later. He asked questions regarding what was happening. He checked the thermostat, HVAC unit upstairs and the outside compressor unit. He found the problem, repaired it and returned to verify the system was working. Very efficient. I will use them again in the future.

We got to know Nathan when he came as part of the install crew to setup a replacement AC/Heating unit about 5 yrs back. He was very courteous, helpful and generous with advice. After multiple visits from multiple different Paschal people over a period of 4 weeks, my strange air conditioner screech sound was diagnosed and eliminated by Daniel.Apparently, the metal frame holding the filter vibrates when intake air flows over it.While I am waiting for the replacement filters that do not require the metal frame, I am pleased that my first summer with this 7 months old air conditioner will now be much quieter.

Thank you to our technician, Waymon, and Metro Energy Savers. I called at 8:30 am on New Years Day, and they promptly answered our call. They already had a long list of customers for the day and gave us a 2:00 p.m. service time. We were willing to wait as we have worked with this great company before. Waymon came around 10:45 am! We could not be happier with the service provided to us by Danny. My elderly mother-in-law needed to have her HVAC unit checked over for the upcoming cooler months. Danny was prompt, courteous and honest! I wasn't able to be at my mother-in-law's house when he arrived. With many companies and service techs, we have worried about them taking advantage of her. Danny went above and beyond, and in fact, said that he just was just doing his job as a service technician. And he hoped that someone would do the same for his folks. Needed to replace a Nest thermostat and fix our heat pump. The technician was nice and friendly, but the company quoted us $880 to replace a thermostat that costs less than $250. There is no way replacing a thermostat requires $630 in labor. Never using them again.

We got 3 bids. Diel at Big Bear was the only one who answered all my questions. His guys (Bryan and James) did an amazing job. Worked all day in the heat, explained the whole system and new (nest WiFi) thermostat to us and then cleaned up and vacuumed before leaving! Was charged for the initial visit then again for the repair several days later. Usually it’s just the cost of the repair. Then the technician comes out with the wrong part. He says that they’ll contact me to send some one else w the right part. No one calls or follows up. It’s as if I don’t exists. I’m still waiting. Beware using this company. There are too many in town to put up w that kind of service.

A new thermostat was installed to replace a malfunctioning one. The service technician examined every component and electrical connection in the main heat pump. Initially, he seemed to believe that I didn’t understand how the thermostat functioned, and drew a diagram illustrating the difference between the “desired temperature” and the “actual temperature.” Eventually, he found an error code that identified the problem as the thermostat and installed a new one. This repair could have been done sooner if the technician had listened more carefully to my explanation of how the thermostat was failing to function, and not assumed a certain level of ignorance on my part. The new part was still under warranty and the only charge was for the diagnostic call.

I called Big Bear on a Tuesday, and they were at my house on Thursday. They would've been there on Wednesday, but I wasn't available. The technicians were able to diagnose and repair my AC in under 15 minutes.The technician (David) also reminded me that my AC is using Freon and not Puron. Thus, advising me to weigh my options if a major repair happens in the future.I'm happy with the service I received from Big Bear, and I will be using them again.

The reason I didn't give 5 stars was I believe when coil cleaning is part of the service, it should be more than just spraying some water on the coils from the outside with the shell still on. I was charged $224 for an A/C repair that was caused by a technician not cleaning the condensate drain pipe during an April 11,2023 routine service.I asked the technician if the pipe needed to be cleaned and he told me it didn’t.Caleb quickly responded to my concern. My technician Josh was very informative.. However he stated he's more on the mechanical side, he understood the systems and diagnosed my issue fairly quickly.They unfortunately weren't able to install the new system the same day, (which is a huge disconvenience), so we're forced to suffer an additional 3 days.But they were decent enough to bring a window loaner for the time being.I believe overall, we'll be generally happy with the new system.. Just a tad disappointed about the overall cost of those machines.(Discounts & ex-service members do help through)

When this was under Bigbear, sevice was great, people were friendly and didn't try to upsell. I used Bigbear on many occasions and found them helpful every single time. Recently, Walker bought them and had my first service through Walker today.. Unfortunately my experience was complete opposite.. trying to upsell , nickle and dime for every minute they're onsite is not something I expected. We had Paschal come out to diagnose why our AC wasn’t blowing cold air. They were here for an hour and said the coils were frozen over and needed to be replaced. They quoted $3500+ to repair, which in its own right is outrageously expensive. I got a second opinion from RHS HVAC and Refrigeration. Ronnie actually opened the panel and found that a piece of insulation had fallen down from the top and was blocking the airflow, which caused the freezing. Ended up costing less than $250 to fix it! Unbelievable!

Yubenal looked at the connections on the AC unit and determined it wasn’t getting power & figured out the root cause ( faulty breaker) in a short time, which is commendable. We had a poor experience with another service provider who incorrectly diagnosed it to be a thermostat issue. Walker was very professional in communications, quick assignment and follow ups. Their fee was higher than we anticipated. Glad to have our AC back on!

I was phoned before my appointment by the technician before he arrived. He gave me name Yasua Jimenez and would arriving in 30 mins. He was very professional and extremely nice. He did what he needed to do and explained everything. We chitchat during his work. I look forward to having him as my technician next time for service

Big Bear was the BEST!! On time, respectful, efficient and quiet with the exception of minor drilling. We were placed on the schedule within 3 days of calling for appointment. Very neat and tidy. They planned their work so that literally not a single fragment or dust would get on any of the bedroom furniture when cutting a large space for the duct. They laid tarps up the stairs through the hall & through bedroom to the attic and absolutely nothing got dirty or soiled. They asked for paint to cover the teeny tiniest little spec on a wall missing paint. Went above and beyond expected for service. Answered every question and showed us each and every part of the system and how it worked and its purpose. Only asked us two questions (where is the attic & where is the circuit breaker box).Diligent hard working men. Absolutely the best service. And the A/C is COLD. Love this company!

We had noticed a smallpool of water underneath the AC compressor. We just replaced the unit less than a year ago. With the hottest part of the year we wanted to make sure everything was working properly. Randy came out and inspected everything and assured us that the unit was functioning properly and the water we were seeing was normal for the heat and humidity we have been experiencing. Thank you Metro for the peace of Mind and Randy for his top notch service and taking the time to explain everything to us!!

The technician was very knowledgeable about the service call. He provided additional information on Ways that I can improve or extend the life of my unit. He was extremely friendly.He was also the very first person to inform me about the energy club that metro energy savers provide. I have used meteo energy savers several times and not once had I been told about this feature.Any other customer that gets Joe on their service call is bound to have excellent service.

This company installed an new ac unit while it was metro energy savers. It is still under warranty but stopped working a few weeks ago. The technician came out and said that the capacitor was bad and could replace it for 200+ dollars. I asked why it wasn't covered by the warranty and he said that if I wanted it to be warranty work, he would have to order the part from the manufacturer and it would be several days before we had air conditioning. I told him to go ahead and fix it.A few weeks later it stopped working again. I called the company and they said they could not get there today and could not give me a window when they would be there tomorrow. The lady who answered the phone was completely disinterested that is was 105 degrees outside and I am without a/c. It is now 5 o'clock on the day they said the tech would be here to try and fix it again and they haven't called or given me a time. Very unprofessional. I will not use this company again.Update: Though they promised they would be here on the second day, they texted at almost 730 pm to say that they weren't going to make it. Still have not been given an appointment time. Again, I paid for something a few weeks ago which should have been fixed AND which was under warranty.Update 2: Finally received a call from company and they have agreed to fix it at no cost to me. If that happens, I will improve my rating.Update 3: company came out and replaced condenser at no cost. Have updated review to 3 stars.

The tech arrived when he said he would and listened to me. He then proceeded to check everything and located the problem. Offered my choices and explained their service plan. Got the job done and my air is already cooling

A/C blower quit working. Service tech said blower and two other capacitors failed. Cheapest fix was $3,100. Thankfully, the tech sent photos of the various readings/checks of the system. With the images (and 3 hours of research), I discovered only the blower capacitor failed. I replaced it the next day myself for $30 and system is working again.

Big Bear continues to be the best around. Great AC techs who don't try to take you for all the money you have. Today's visit was long and they stuck to their quoted price. And when I asked for something in addition, they did it with no issues or charge.

I’m very impressed with the quality of the service I received and the promptness. I was expecting to have to wait days to get an appointment or for parts but to call and have them out in a few hours and have my AC up and running and it didn’t break the bank!! I’m truly impressed and will use them again.

Nov19,2020Daikin solutions are outstanding but can be hard to navigate their comprehensive portfolio especially when trying to figure out which pieces to combine. The versatility of Daikin is a compelling advantage in providing the right system for any environment but it is also the challenge in educating the average consumer on which one to use if they can get them over the hurdle of their relatively low market share in the US consumer household space. You need an expert to help you through this.This company is only one of two residential dealers in the local DFW area that I could find. My first encounter was great. Timely, professional and very knowledgeable. I am a local contractor looking for a solution for my own home so I'm more hands on and techy than your avg consumer. They spent time digging into my home design and the layout challenges it presents. They provided a couple options for me which I reviewed and then researched. This is where it starts falling apart. After the initial consult and quote, it has been very hard to get answers beyond the quote. Follow-up on actions promised by the company to provide were neglected. I've called the office several times which they assured me would be addressed ASAP. A week has gone by and I've now had to move my foam install date twice. The last of which has resulted in a nearly month out scheduling. This has put my schedule in a rough state trying to beat the winter. Simply put, if it weren't for the fact that Daikin dealers are so limited and they are indeed the better of the two around, I would have moved on to another. That being said, picking the lesser of two evils is never a good situation. I'm to the point of selecting Bosch systems even though the solution is weaker. In the end, HVAC is an expensive home solution which requires maintenance and support so picking a vendor who is responsive is just as important as the right brand if not more so. In this case, I'm inclined to pick the lesser product but better vendor.I've called today and voiced my frustration. I'm hopeful, it gets the right attention for my situation and other customers to follow.I'll update accordingly. Stay tuned.Update: 10DEC2020I'm speechless and gobsmacked at how this ordeal ended. As I left off above, the office did respond and jump right on my issue. We went though several iterations of errors on quotes again and lagging responses. In fairness I certainly asked more questions and research than likely any of their previous customers. They did put in a lot of time to get my questions answered. That being said, I felt horrible but we couldn't justify spending more money for a solution that was A-typical if we couldn't get timely responses nor accurate quotes so I advised them we were going to use another vendor. Nathan took the news gracefully but obviously disappointed but I told him we would try again on my next house I'm building in late 2021. Both he and I certainly learned a lot about Daikin's other solutions like VRV and the FIT so we're the better for the experience in the end. Nathan's attitude was very professional. Conner Jones however was shockingly rude. He somehow blamed me when I clearly told him the reasons they didn't get the job. His title is Finance Manager but he told me he was the GM when I asked to speak to his manager. He literally said even if I changed my mind he wouldn't do business with me. His tone was adolescent, angry and hung up. I felt horrible we couldn't give them the job but that is now changed to relief. While I have a hard time believing Connor represents Metro's leadership attitudes. I hope this finds its way to right eye's and ears. I'd put Conner back in the field and put Nathan in charge (if indeed Connor is GM as he claims). I'll continue one more push to the owner of Metro, Paul Adams.Fortunately, I've kept every correspondence and am happy to show the long trail of quote errors and limited knowledge depth they have of other Daikin solutions should this complaint be challenged. Also filed with BBB.

We had to get a new system and replace our duct work which is a pretty big investment.Waymon the technician who sold us our system did not pressure us into anything we did not need. He showed us where our problems were and he was right. Jesse who installed the system we were did outstanding work and did not stop until they were done.Waymon and Jesse are extremely professional, knowledgeable, friendly and will answer any questions you have.If you need a new system or a repair of a system I would highly recommend that you call Metro Energy Savers. I will be passing this on to anyone that has a/c and heat problems.
