Having had some very justifiably concerning service provider experiences in the past, I have a bit of apprehension nowadays when I must locate and call upon a new provider. I had not used this contractor in the past nor did I know the owner, Kurdel, or any of the staff. However, Kurdel is extremely professional and honest. I would highly recommend him. He had come out to give an estimate on replacing 1 water heaters. We ended up hiring him to replace both of the heaters. His price was very competitive and slightly below another contractor that had given us an estimate. What impressed me most with Kurdel was how he resolved an issue. After installing one of the heaters, I noticed a rather large dent toward the bottom. As disappointed as we both were that his guys installed the unit with the damage, he was insistent on making it right and replace the unit at no cost. With absolutely no pressure from Kurdel, I ultimately decided to keep the damaged unit as it was cosmetic damage that didn't affect the warranty or life of the product. Kurdel and Flow Star Plumbing are competitively priced, filled with integrity and offer great value.

I had a problem with my heater, I called Summit Mechanical, and they said they would be able to make it here within 2 hours, they got here in 1 hour and had the problem fixed as well within an hour. The service was excellent, the gentleman explained it to me so that I could understand the problem. I would refer them to anyone.

I called Plumbing & Heating Doctor to diagnose an in-wall drain that was backing up with suds from the Washing Machine and they came out same-day without hesitation. They asked appropriate questions to diagnose the issue and gain an understanding of the problem. They ended up checking the crawlspace, snaking the drain and testing the appliance to see if the problem could still be replicated. While they were here - I also asked for some advice regarding our water softener and filter and they shared some tips on both ways to save money and perform the maintenance myself. The technician was very knowledgeable & thorough and the price was very reasonable. I would without a doubt use these guys again for either plumbing or HVAC troubleshooting, installation or remodeling.

I can't say enough about how great John is. He came on time with a smile on his face ready to help. He was upfront about the costs and what certain things meant and would happen if we chose this over that. He was very transparent. We called because of our water heater, and he was here the next day with a new one. The entire time he was here he was pleasant, great to talk to, and very efficient in his work. We also had an issue with our dishwasher leaking into the sink and he knew immediately how to fix it and did so rather quickly. We are really impressed. I would absolutely refer anyone and everyone to him. We've finally found our family plumber. Call him, you won't regret it.

We spent $850 dollars with this company over a persistent clog in the downstairs toilet of our new home. After getting a second (verified) opinion it became apparent our plumber had neglected to tell us the sewer line wasn’t connected to anything.

Fabulous people and fantastic service!

While they were timely and were able to come out next day, the service we received was mediocre at best. We called because our plumbing had extremely low flow, and their first fix was to replace the two most expensive things that could possibly be the issue. When questioned about it afterwards their response was “well it’s better than it was before” when our kitchen sink is still barely above a trickle. Not to mention our house was left a disaster - they unscrewed our accordion door and left it unscrewed when they left, sprayed water everywhere (and on me) in the bathroom, and left wood splinters all over the floor where they were working to name a few. Aside from the poor work ethic, they were swearing up a storm, slamming doors, and Larry was apparently so distracted that he couldn’t remember which way was hot/cold or which direction a shower head was installed. All of this and we got a bill for over $1500. When we called to talk about this, the woman that answered the phone was extremely rude and arrogant - without asking any details, she immediately told us that what we were charged was fair and there was nothing to be discussed. I work in the service industry and understand that time spent on-site is time spent and sometimes the part you think is the issue turns out not to be, but to leave it at “it’s better than it was before” is shameful. Hopefully it was just a bad day and other people don’t have this experience.
