In a jam they came through with prompt, efficient, and affordable service. Friendly tech that showed up early, fixed the issue and gave helpful advice. I will call again for any plumbing problems.

Called on an emergency twice as over a foot of water in crawl space Sunday 29 Aug broken sump pump (Left that on the voicemail). They were listed on a warranty contract to call the next business day, which would have been the 30th (Monday). I received that confirmation email at 6:29P.. No response to my 2 calls Sunday eve which I understand, but no response via text either on Monday (voicemail says they may respond faster via text left at 815 AM). Nothing, although the warranty email states they would call the next business day.

Called another service on Tuesday and they were out within 40 minutes of my call and fixed the sump pump in less than an hour. It's unfortunate one attempt to communicate in a timely manner would have prevented this. This review is based on their lack of response as I didn't have a chance to rate their work this time.

Awful customer service experience, probably the worse I've ever had, anywhere, with any product or service:

Trey, their customer service contact is rude, disrespectful, and not at all helpful.

Here are the details that lead me to say that:

First the company was asked to contact us to meet them at the property to go over the details of the repairs needing done and have a conversation in person. They did not do that, they just went and called after they had visited the property. Not a huge deal but not great.

Second, they were to submit to diagnosis into my home warranty within 24 hours of the home visit. Once this did not happen I and the warranty company tried reaching out (Trey is the only contact number available for the company). He would not answer or return my calls or the home warranty calls after several voicemails and texts. Finally he starts communicating but only through text with me even though I simply texted asking him to call me.

Third, he tells me via text that Mark, the technician was still working on the diagnosis and would call when it was ready. I informed him that it is required to be submitted within 24 hours, which had already passed. He only would tell me that Mark would do it when it was ready.

Trey would not provide me Mark's contact number to have the home warranty authorization department reach out to him, but then he said that Mark had already tried calling it in and could not get ahold of anyone and would try again later.

So either the fact that it was not yet ready or the statement that Mark had already tried calling was a lie.

I had the home warranty company on the phone ready to reach out and Trey still would not give me Mark's direct number, and said if they called him he could not connect them to Mark.

Instead he suggested just cancelling the service so they could assign a different contractor. I asked him to please not do that because I had an emergency water leak and needed it addressed immediately.

The home warranty informed me there is an online portal to submit the diagnosis so that should have been used instead of calling first anyway.

The home warranty offered to call the company but Trey insisted that he knew what he was doing and that they had to initiate the call so would not give me Mark's number.

He was rude and disrespectful by stating that Mark is on another job and you will have to wait for him to finish that,... I'm sorry you don't understand that

He then offered to cancel the job again.

I asked him to not cancel the job and even pointed out that despite this poor customer service I was dealing with they still had an opportunity to earn a good online review from me.

He then said I'm going to cancel this job with home warranty since we can't please you

I called Alaska Plumbing Service to repair a bathtub drain problem. The service was extremely prompt and friendly. Turns out the issue was not as simple as I had thought, but Trey, the journeyman plumber, showed me the problems and solutions every step of the way. He not only fixed what I knew to be a problem, but found an unglued drain pipe which could have become a serious leak under the tub. He created an access panel that is almost invisible. He worked hard and efficiently. I felt the price was more than fair. I will call this company any time I have a plumbing problem.

Mark from Ak. Plumbing came & replaced my old water heater. He did an excellent job and had it working in under 3 hours.

My go-to plumbing and heating company. They are honest, fair, and reliable. Trey has always been responsive and helpful with his recommendations. And I’m not sure what that lady in the reviews below is talking about - Alaska Plumbing Service charges based on bids they write up - it’s basically a service contract. You don’t get charged extra for “chit chat,” but you also don’t get to negotiate for a different price after services have been rendered. It’s very fair, especially for the quality of repairs and services you get.

I have used Alaska plumbing service in the past and they are always prompt, reliable and affordable. I will definitely use them for every plumbing job I have in the future.

I hired them to unclog a kitchen pipe. Tech was polite but it doesn't make the cost any easier - $190. Initially I spoke with 3 different people and only later i found out they work together. After making an appointment, I requested at least 30m of a courtesy call as I had to leave work to meet them and instead I got a text saying they will be there in 10min and I had to rush over. One thing I recommend if hiring them is to be cautious about distractions such as chit chatting as that also adds up to the time they consider working. They charge by the hour.

We spent $850 dollars with this company over a persistent clog in the downstairs toilet of our new home. After getting a second (verified) opinion it became apparent our plumber had neglected to tell us the sewer line wasn’t connected to anything.

Hot water heater went out. These guys responded, and were at my house fixing it within a couple hours. Would definitely recommend.
