Best Water Heater in Anchorage AK

We had some pipes and our boiler freeze. I had another company tell me that the boiler was no good and to not try to turn it on. Hogins came out and we had our boiler up and running within 2 hours. Very knowledgeable and personable, would recommend to anyone.

We were tight on finances and with a leaking pipe during Christmas- my husband and I attempted to be creative at fixing it ourselves. While we fixed one thing, another problem occurred and then another. Three days with no water and at our wits end, we called for an estimate. Jim arrived within an hour and inspected the issue in the garage. He then took the time to go down to the crawl space to inspect all the plumbing. He determined the issue was a simple fix we weren’t aware of. He let us know how we could fix it- and didnt charge us at all! So sweet and really made my day. I’d highly, highly recommend him as I felt he was incredibly honest and there to help. Will call him for all future needs.

They do excellent work! Very reliable, showed up when they said they would. Cleaned up after themselves very well. Honest and affordable!! I would highly recommend them to anyone.

A connection they replaced leaked, but they came back within a couple of hours of calling about it to fix it. And they did with no additional charge. Pleased with service and personnel.

Kurdell @ Flow Star provided stellar service. He was able to get us in quickly, complete the water removal and install a sump pump within 24 hours of reaching out to him. He communicated with me throughout the process. He even sent pictures and video of the repair since I was out of town. Robert sold the business to his brother Kevin Powell in the middle of the restoration of my mobile home after a fire. The support beams they charged to replace under my home, they sprayed with killz. The shed they charged to move and move back is now about to fall down. They stuck a two by four in the ground and nailed a block on the back wall to keep the back wall from collapsing. The door for my hot water heater can't be removed. Enstar had to come out because the gas line for my hot water heater was leaking. And could not get the door open. My porch leans into my home now. After they charged me for 27 hours of work. They actually only worked on the porch for three to four hours. I wish I could post pictures of the things they did and didn't do here. Water froze here last winter every time it got below 11 degrees. When I called them he told me to use a hair dryer. I feel they are very dishonest.

My go-to plumbing and heating company. They are honest, fair, and reliable. Trey has always been responsive and helpful with his recommendations. And I’m not sure what that lady in the reviews below is talking about - Alaska Plumbing Service charges based on bids they write up - it’s basically a service contract. You don’t get charged extra for “chit chat,” but you also don’t get to negotiate for a different price after services have been rendered. It’s very fair, especially for the quality of repairs and services you get.

Our water heater had ruptured and was flooding our house. After waiting 2 hours on another repair service, with no word on when they would be here, I contacted Summit Mechanical. Bill said he could be here in 1 hour. He showed up on time, gave me an on the spot estimate and installed a new and better water heater all in the same afternoon! Summit Mechanical did an Excellent job and saved the day. I highly recommend them to any one. I will certainly call them first from now on.

Erwin Plumbing is the best. Landis is courteous, knowledgeable and a professional. I have used Erwin Plumbing twice in the last couple of years and am very happy with the quality of his work. My go to for plumbing and heating services. I highly recommend.

The service person did an excellent job! I forgot his name though. Very thorough and kind service. He also was highly knowledgeable and explained the repair process to me.

Worst plumbing company ever never recommend this place again

I called on Sunday evening about a clog and told them it wasn’t an emergency and was okay with waiting until Monday. I had to work Monday afternoon, though, so first thing would be ideal.

They called me Monday morning right at 9 and Dakota and Ryan were at my door by 9:30. They were in and out, professional, efficient, personable, and reasonably priced.

We will never call anyone else for drain clogs!
