I am a renter and this is the second time Diamond Heating has come out to service the residence that I’m renting. I’m very pleased I now have heat. The cause of the problem was evaluated, addressed and care was taken to ensure there were no other failing factors with in the equation.

Diamond Heating took care of us when our old Trane forced-air furnace died. I'm sure any heating company can work on every brand of furnace, but I looked on the Trane website and Diamond Heating is the only authorized Trane dealer/installer/repair in Anchorage, so I gave them a call. Cece made us a priority, and she kept me informed through the process. It took their two installers about four hours to replace our furnace and the surrounding ductwork, and their work looks great. The new Trane furnace has features the old one didn't, works so much better and uses a lot less energy, and we are now good for another 20-25 years. Would recommend.

Their rates were competitive with other businesses in Anchorage, and their work was top notch. I had them replace a leaking traditional water heater with a new on-demand system and update the existing water and gas plumbing. Mike R was an installer on a job at my residence recently and was punctual, professional and polite. I would recommend Diamond Heating to anyone thanks to the service I received.

I had an 8:30am appointment and their technician was on time. He cleaned/vacuumed the furnace. Replaced 2 filters and showed me how to do it. Then we talked about when we can replace furnace and hot water heater and alternate type of hot water heater.

We had issues with the outside temp sensor after initial install and the company sent a technician to fix it. They made sure to address all our concerns and have provided excellent and prompt customer service.

I have used Diamond Heating for more than 4 years and have always had a positive experience. Most recently Tyler performed maintenance on my furnace system. Cordial, on time, and communicative. Office staff is always on top of it. I know people in the construction business that use them too.

Diamond heating is absolutely amazing! We wanted to replace our entire heating and hot water system. We have an odd combination unit where the boiler does our forced air and our hot water. We contacted 3 companies and Sam from Diamond was the only one to take the time to explain to us what we had and explain his recommendation for our replacement and why he recommended that. Originally, we were only going to do only our hot water, but with our unit and how old they both were, it just made sense to rip the bandaid and do it all. I wish they had a plumber so they could have done a water softener to go with it!My only complaint is they started the project before having the air handler in hand and we had to go a week with no heat. It has been scheduled to be delivered on Thursday and they didn’t get it until Monday afternoon. Since our heating wasn’t an emergency, I would have been happy waiting. I considered doing less stars, but they went above and beyond to ensure we would be ok. They called daily and offered more space heaters. They went out of their way to make it right. After working with Diamond, I trust them for all my future HVAC needs.

Very professional service.

I live 200 miles from Anchorage in the Copper Valley area. Diamond Heating & AirTemp Alaska installed a brand new heater for me and serviced many other Copper Valley residents. It's great that a professional company will drive 200 miles to service their customers. They are definitely not a budget option, but they are a high quality option. I recommend this place to any rural resident that they are able to service.

These guys are great! The level of customer service they provide is unmatched here in Anchorage.Upon discovering that my boiler/heater unit was not properly functioning, I contacted Dana. Within minutes, he responded and got me in touch with the admin staff and technician to set up my appointment for early the following day.Keith showed up on time despite having 6 inches of new snow on the roads and was keen to help me with my problem. He quickly determined the issue and informed me of the best way to go about tackling it. He was very informative and happy to answer any questions I had.The morning after the service, I received a call from Cara in the office inquiring about my experience and wondering if I had any questions about the service. I used Diamond heating when I first bought my house and since then they are the only one I call to clean and inspect my HVAC at my house. Not only they did a good job, they were quick to response and customer service is great. 24 hours after the inspection, I called them to let them know that I can still smell gas in my garage where the boilers at. They sent somebody right away within 30 minutes and the guy inspected it. First thing he assured me that he doesn't smell anything, he continued inspecting and stayed for 15 minutes to air out the garage. I was not charged for this as they call it the follow up inspection. I am happy for being with them for years now.

Had a water heater decide that it's insides should be on the outsides and I'm no scientist but I'm pretty sure they operate better with the insides on the inside. Diamond heating was recommended to us from some co-workers, and we could not be happier with the service we received. Joe came by for an estimate and explained the process and not once did we feel like we were just another customer to make a quick buck on. Joe was nice, answered all our questions and asked his own to determine our best course of action. We were able to get our new water heater installed promptly, along with the removal of the old components. The installation was great as well, Chris(I think, I'm sorry I can't remember!) was knowledgeable and answered my questions that I had and didn't seem to mind my occasional hovering to see how he did things. He left the area cleaner than he found it, and explained what he did when he was done. I do have to reschedule a follow up appointment, but that's my fault and not Diamonds at all. 10/10 would call again!***Called again, many years later***I've since moved since this review went up, it's currently 11Sep2023. New home suffered the same as the last, water heater failure. Figured Diamond heating did such a fantastic job the first time, why not give them my business again? Every step was painless (except the cost of goods since last time, oof!) And fast. The initial quote process was thorough, and Sam was pleasant and nice. He was back in contact that same day with a quote, and we moved forward from there. Scheduling was fast and efficient as well, however your mileage may vary as the season I think plays a lot into it. To my surprise, Chris was back again! Nice to see that over years the techs don't change, a good sign the the company not only takes care of customers, but the employees as well. Chris had help this time, and Michael (T) was just as pleasant as Chris. They left the area cleaner than when they arrived, and were prompt in replacing our water heaters without cutting corners or taking shortcuts. While I hope to not have to call...again, I would gladly call them if needed, and highly recommend them twice over!

Demetrius and Tyler came out to investigate a faulty unit heater that kept tripping the gfi circuit. They did a thorough job of investigating all possible faults, discovering the faulty control board causing the problem. Throughout the visit the were professional yet personable, and focused on their task. They also observed good social distancing and mask discipline.On top of that, CeCe was terrific working with on the phone.

Except for vastly better quality of life - goodbye stale air and no water pressure!! We are so excited for a company that did deep surgery on our house and brought it back into its youth. We appreciate the owner's clear care about their business, and prior team member's Chris and Kevin's work as well. Thank you Diamond!

My water heater finally bit the bullet and we had been out of hot water for over a week. During the winter especially, and having a toddler, it is not a good situation! I work nights and tried calling some 24/7 places. No return calls or their inbox was full. Called Alkota, and they said a technician would call me back. Never did, (going off the reviews, it is probably a good thing ;) ). I looked at reviews and saw Diamond Heating. Gave them a call as soon as they were open. Instantly answered. Told them my situation and they sounded empathetic. Said they could have someone check out the situation the next day. I get a call from Sam, super friendly, highly energetic, and just and all around good guy. He gave me a heads up 15 minutes prior before coming over. Checked out my crawl space and took some photos. Said because our situation is more emergent, they could possibly fix it by the end of the week. Even came back the next day to double check measurements to make sure there would be no issues. Fast forward 1 day later, Andrew came over with someone else (didn't catch their name), and installed the water heater.From start to finish, Diamond Heating came, saw, and kicked butt. Literally called several other places and they couldn't be bothered. I really look forward to a hot shower!The only thing I docked them for, star wise, is the pricing. Doing some internet research, it said on the higher end, $3,500 should be the expected cost. When I got my quote, it was listed at just over $4,100. The listing had everything itemized, but there was no cost associated with the listings, so I couldn't determine what all costed that total.Now honestly, with it being really cold in town, not having hot water, and them actually being there when needed (plus installing in a small crawl space sucks), I'll take the hit. Just something to know.That being said, I would still highly recommend them. I will continue doing business with them in the future. Sorry for the long review, it has just been a big trouble for my family for the past week and having this kind of response just makes my month!

Dimond Heating came out to check on my boiler the same day I called, while I had COVID. The technician said he didn't want my family to be without heat even though I was sick and had to isolate from him on the second floor of the house. He was very thorough, respectful and professional and fixed my problem within an hour. Clear billing practices and very trustworthy. I was so stressed out being sick and having a problem with my heat in the middle of winter. I will always call them first in the future.

Diamond Heating was able to come within a couple hours of me calling them which was huge. Tom was very professional and friendly. My issue was extremely easy to fix temporary and I was given a cost estimate of what could be done long term. Tom showed me what do to if boiler acted up again. They were fourth business I happened to call that morning. Next time they will be the first. Their contact is saved in my phone. Thanks again for your honesty and promptness.

The guys arrived on time and got to work immediately. They knew what their jobs were and executed them quickly. The jobs took less time than I thought. The one thing that could be improved upon was the quality of the foil tape sealing on the ductwork. This was done fairly sloppily and I’m not sure whether any leaks exist that will have to be addressed later.

Had Tyler work on my furnace, he knocked it out quickly, very professional and friendly. Will definitely call them back up if I have any service issues.

I was stuck in the snow turning from lake otis to 54th CT. They saw I was stuck and people from the business helped when others just watched. People from the business were so nice and understanding. One person was pulling out of the business lot on their way home. Someone came out of the office just to help us and another 2 people pulled up in a business van, started helping right away. They took the time to stop and help me and my kids. AMAZING PEOPLE. THANK YOU SO MUCH.

We had scheduled Keith to show up at 8:30 am and I was very pleased to see him pull into my driveway at 8:30. Punctuality is wonderful. Keith is very knowledgeable and helpful and explained to us what he did for our preventative maintenance. He also gave us a warning about the lifespan that was left in our heater and when we would need to begin thinking about the replacement of our system. I used Diamond Heating & AirTemp Alaska to install a gas heater in my garage. The previous owner of the house didn't have any heat for the garage and just a couple weeks after buying the house in January the water lines into the house froze. Thankfully they didn't bust but this made me decide to get a gas heater installed in the garage so it doesn't happen again. I had quite a few shops come out and give me a quote for the complete installation and Diamond was quite a bit cheaper than all of them. They showed up right on time and it took just around 2 hours for a complete install. I was beyond impressed with the quality and speed of their service. I will be coming back for any other heating needs I have and I highly recommend them!!

Diamond Heating is professional, honest, and thorough. Sam reviewed my duct and vent project and found issues another company had totally missed. They saved me a lot of time and money and I’ll choose them for my next project.

We called the day after thanksgiving and they had someone out within 4 hours. Everyone from the scheduler, the dispatcher, and technician were quick and professional. They diagnosed and fixed the issue within 30 minutes. All in we only paid $370 for same day response and repair.

We used Diamond Heating when my daughter's furnace died after hours on a cold winter day. They were awesome! The technician was there at the time promised, fixed the heat within a short period of time, and showed my daughter how to avoid the same problem again. Great service, great employees. It's always refreshing to work with a company that has integrity.

Wish you guys did not charge $525 for a $125 pump just because we called you after hours.Friendly technician, work was done right.But was charged $560 for a 125psi pump which cost $125 at Lowe’s and another $300 for an hour of labor charge. Paid a total of $825 to change a pump on my boiler.Will try to get couple more quotes next time. Had no choice this time because kids were starting to get cold.

After business hours, I contacted this heating company, I had a furnace problem, and I was amazed by the excellent customer service. Tom was the technician who went out of his way to fix the problem. Upgraded water heater to 75 gallon unit. Met w/Joe to review work and was great to work with. He was clearly knowledgeable and answered all my questions while also spending some additional time helping me review existing heating system and answer related questions. They were able to work in the water heater install the very next day with install being more professional looking than existing. I've used Diamond before to install a furnace and garage heater and they continue to impress. Will definitely use again!

They installed our furnace a couple of years ago … and now did a quick repair. They are professional and easy to work with. I give them a 10!

Not too impressed so far. Been waiting for 1.5 hours for their technician to show up when I am supposedly the first call of the day. Don't tell me he's on the road heading my way if that's not true. This is Anchorage, it only takes 20 minutes to get anywhere.UPDATE: AirTemp Alaska was quick to rectify the scheduling error. Their technician seemed knowledgeable and was able to identify things wrong with our HVAC unit that other technicians couldn't. Looking forward to receiving their full quote to repair our HVAC, that I hope is heading my way today.

I had a new heating system installed by Diamond Heating last November. Joe was extremely informative in describing options, and was able to schedule install within a few days, and then have install initiated even a day earlier. One day after completion was the earthquake, I was extremely fortunate in Diamond's prompt service. Everyone I have come in contact with at Diamond Heating has been extremely polite and easy to work with, I would recommend them to anyone.

Edit to add an update: Just got a new furnace installed by Brandon and Andrew. They were knowledgeable and friendly, I'm glad to see Diamond Heating does consistently great work over the years!The technician Tom was friendly and helpful, explained some of the systems to me as this is my first time as a homeowner. the other guys wanted 375 to come and look at my heater and no idea of how long it would take to get here! the lady had the on call tech call me immediately to which he started he'd be here in 30 minutes! he was and 15 after that my heater was turning on again! I am so impressed I will never use another company for my heating needs!

Our furnace stopped working late on Thursday night (December 27th). I waited until 7am on December 28th to start calling for repairs and found Diamond Plumbing had availability to come and evaluate our heater at about 10am at their standard rates. The other shops I called were too busy and they wanted 1.5 times their standard labor rate to repair our heater after normal business hours.The morning temperature at our home was -10F so we agreed to have Diamond Plumbing come over to repair our furnace.Our technician was Demetrius. He arrived on schedule with a courteous disposition and professional work ethic. Our furnace now works great. Super job and Yes I would recommend Diamond Plumbing for excellent Plumbing and Heating results.

I really took a liking to him and chatted with him, being the nosy old lady that I am, asked him about himself, and he was so personable! Performed a full removal and replacement of my forced air furnace. The tech was on time, the install was smooth and clean. The tech cleaned up after himself and was out the door. They weren’t the cheapest quote. However, I think Diamond Heating provided the best value for my dollar.

Highly recommend the air scrubber, we’re really happy with it. I have tried different plumbing and heating companies over the years. Diamond heating and air is above all the best company I have dealt with and will continue dealing with. I had one company come out for my winter inspection and was told my furnace needed to be replaced due to a cracked heat exchange. It cost me 85$ for them to tell me that. I then called diamond heating and air for a second opinion. They sent Joe out to my house to give me some quotes and explain how things work. He looked at the furnace and said it didn’t concern him and showed me what to watch for. Joe then saw my water heater and told me that the water heater was a bigger concern to him. (Had tons of corrosion and was starting to drip) Joe did up some quotes and I was able to get my water heater replaced in less than a week of him telling me it was bad. I also had my winter service done on my furnace after I was told it was okay. They sent out Tom for the service and he was also great. Took the furnace apart and cleaned everything and also checked all of the wiring he explained what things needed to be at to run properly and if things were on the verge of going bad. I paid 209$ for the cleaning. Mind you most companies charge anywhere from 139$-159$ just to show up to your house not including anything additional needed. Everyone I have spoken with or dealt with from diamond heating and air have been very professional and helpful. I would recommend them over any other company. Totally worth every penny I have spent with them!

Our install day fell the day after Anchorage got buried with a foot of snow. A Diamond Heating worker called first thing to let me know they had to cancel the first day because of unplowed roads. I was thankful for the early notice. They pushed the install back 1 day. Even though snow was still an issue — both on the roads and in our yard — the install team worked quickly, efficiently and professionally. Although it was scheduled as a two day job, the team worked late the first day to make sure that we were not without heat overnight. They came back the next day for minor mop up and were gone in a couple hours. I am extremely impressed by their professionalism. Diamond Heating wasn’t the cheapest of my estimates, but the system they installed was the best and they explained why. Glad I went with them.

Diamond Heating/AirTemp repaired the furnace and replaced the water heater in both in our home and a rental property. After the 7.0 earthquake the water heater in my mother's house was spraying water. I thought it was going to need to be replaced, but Diamond Heating/AirTemp was able to repair it at a fraction of the cost. They are knowledgeable and professional and I will continue using them in the future.

The entire process from scheduling estimate-to getting the estimate- securing financing- and the actual installation was actually pretty amazing- everyone I dealt with was extremely polite and professional. By far and away the nicest group of people I have ever dealt with during my time as a homeowner here in Anchorage- My old furnace was 45 years and ready for retirement- and the estimator/Joe took his time and answered all of my questions- which was refreshing and greatly appreciated! CeCe in the office is a complete gem- she is a dynamo and a real credit to Diamond Heating- they have someone really incredible working for them!!!The installers were early to arrive- upbeat and very friendly- and the removal and install was over and done in 3 hours!! From my initial telephone call with Hunter to schedule a technician to come out to Tyler the technician that came out to do the repairs they were professional, friendly, courteous, helpful in explaining terminology, as well as happy/cheerful. I was told they were booked for the day so I scheduled an after hour’s appointment-however they were able to make it out and fix my boiler in the early afternoon! I’m blown away by the professionalism of this company. They were not technically the cheapest BUT the value is absolutely there. Having a new combi boiler installed, it’s the big decision. They gave me three different options of bids with comparisons AND sent brochures on each unit. I felt completely informed about the unit being installed. Additionally, they offered a payment plan option so I didn’t have to drain my entire savings on a new system.The install took two days, they left no mess, and did a great job. I have always gotten follow up calls, prompt answers, and great customer service. It’s not that I have had a bad experience with other top plumbers in town, it’s just Diamond took it to the next level customer service wise. Absolutely worth the money. Hands down best home repair experience ever.

My furnace went out (not an emergency since it was not winter) and they were able to send a technician down to Girdwood the next day. Tom was great, correctly diagnosed the problem within 5 minutes and thankfully had the replacement ingniter part in his van. He was very thorough answering all of my questions. I would definitely call Diamond again for repair if I have another issue.

This is a response to the owner's comment. Kara was very apologetic and nice. However, I got a call after I posted my review. I waited for a supervisor to call me in the morning around 8:30a as Demetri promised and no one called me; I'm guessing Demetri either didn't relay the message or the company didn't care. I gave this company ample time to be accountable and follow through as promised, which they did not (referring to the promised call back from a supervisor). As for the comment about there was nothing they could do to change my mind meaning change my honest and rationale review of my experience, why didn't the owner himself, Jerry, directly reach out to me versus writing a reply my comment trying to save face nor has Demetri reached out to me to apologize himself. Let me reiterate that Tom was fantastic as he was on-time and efficient; I would recommend Tom and be glad to hire him, but not with this company. The dispatchers were awesome too. Demetri was not. I did explain that I was willing to pay for another diagnostic and possible repair cost if it was no error on Tom as I found it suspicious that my hot water wasn't working after the heating repair. Demetri could have reassured my concerns and angst by being professional and standing by the company's work done by Tom to come out and just double check. Back to the company couldn't do anything to change my review, I already fixed the heating issue myself. What was I supposed to suggest? Kara nor the owner made any suggestions themselves. Again, I am not impressed with how the owner responded by replying to my review nor the follow-up experience after paying $400. Customer service is most important. I am always willing to wait or pay more for service as I have with other businesses.Initial experience was very positive. Tom came out to my residence to fix the no heat (I had hot water) I was getting right away over this weekend on short notice. I paid a total of $400 ($149 for diagnostic and $251[this was with the $25 coupon discount from their website] for the igniter for the furnace and labor - they do a flat rate). I didn't care how much I paid as long as I had heat since it's winter now. The next morning, I noticed I ran out of hot water and did not have hot water. After a long day, I return home thinking the hot water would be back to work. Still no hot water. I called them and Demetri, the after hours on-call tech, called me back. I explained to him of my situation and how I have no clue how heating systems worked, but found it odd that after Tom fixed my heat I no longer had hot water the very next day. I asked him if someone could stop by my residence to see if Tom may have forgot to reset or turn something back on pertaining to hot water without cost, but I was willing to pay if that wasn't the case. Demetri immediately stated that it would cost me another $149 for him to come out regardless because the furnace heating and hot water are different matters and he did not even bother to confirm what kind of system I had. I informed him that I'm completely oblivious to how things work regarding this topic, but I need hot water to take a shower for work tomorrow. He kept saying I understand and repeating himself. So, he agreed that a supervisor or someone in charge would contact me the next morning around 8:30a. I did not receive a call from anyone. Thankfully, I fixed the hot water issue myself after researching videos on YouTube. I do not plan to ever use this company again nor do I recommend anyone else to do so. I believe customer service is very important. They failed. I will try another company for future issues. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS. All they care about is taking your money.

Water heater was leaking. First 4 companies I contacted where unavailable for weeks OR I had to pay after hours rates. Dimond heating worked me into their schedule the next day. The gentleman arrived in time frame quoted, he was efficient, professional and practiced social distancing & mask wearing. The final cost was less than originally quoted so overall great company! Thank you

Had our HVAC act up and waited a week to get these guys out. In that time I'd cleaned the heat sensor which fixed the problem so they came out for an assessment more than a repair.Their guy was Tyler and he was great. Friendly, practical and offered issue what seemed like sensible and reasonable advice.Only issue I have is with the price as Tyler was there for quarter of an hour and that was $70. On top of the charge for him to attend that meant $200 for a quick visit so it seems I paid $130 just to get them to come out. I assumed there'd be some time on site built into that.But will certainly have them back and hopefully we get Tyler again.

I hired AirTemp / Diamond Heating to replace my boiler and upgrade my water heater to a sidearm system in my home, they did a really clean and professional installation and we're very happy with it nearly 2 years later. My hot water heater quit working on a Friday evening. I called Diamond Heating and Air and they sent a repair man out ASAP to restore our hot water until we could have the unit replaced. When that day came, Robby and Chris made the install fast, and efficient with excellent professional service conduct. The price was definitely comparable to their competitors also.

We were referred to Diamond through our neighbors when our hot water tank went out several years ago. Since then Diamond has also serviced our furnace, which is in the crawl space so I know it's not very fun for Tom and the gang to access, but regardless, the Diamond team doesn't complain!! My water heater went out so I called and got Sam, who was very helpful and responsive. He was able to get me scheduled within 48 hours and Justin/Brandon showed up on time for the install. They got it done quickly and hauled away my old heater and stand. Great experience overall! It was pricey for a standard water heater install ($3400ish total) but they got it done quickly and correctly.

My experience was absolutely fantastic. It was a cold night, luckily not below freezing, and the heater was out. I honestly did not know how to get the heat working. My husband was out of town and I was completely stuck. Our call was answered quickly, and the plumber, Keith, was not at all creepy. He fixed up what needed done without adding on any extra parts or charges. It was an evening call out and I didn't even need to sell a kidney to pay for it.

I can’t say enough about what a good experience we had with this company. We had a complicated job and air conditioner installation. At the start we received good advice and a fair quote. We felt really comfortable hiring them, and their follow through was impeccable. They scheduled the work at times convenient for us. The professionals who did the work at our house were outstanding. We have used Diamond Heating since we bought our new house for furnace maintenance and repairs. They're always very professional and courteous of our home.Our garage heater went out over the weekend (of course when it's -4 degrees). They were there Monday and had the part on hand to repair it right away. They also do not pressure or try to up-sell you for things you do not need which I've had in the past with other companies.

Andrew and Michael did a fantastic job of installing or new Trane furnace. The only critique is that they forgot to turn our water heater back on. However, Diamond Heating sent a tech right away. Brandon got it started in 30 seconds.👍

Very kind after hours desk, super helpful main desk. Technician was quick at responding to our no heat in March. Friendly and talked me through what was going on. Unfortunately parts are not in stock so an order has to be placed. They gave us space heaters to keep us warm until the part comes in. Great company.

First, I have not used this company. Second, I have no indication they are anything but professional and committed to quality. I had a pleasant and informative experience with their comfort consultant, and have previously worked with one of their installers, and know him to be top notch.I felt it was necessary, however, to leave a review to help any others trying to navigate getting a heat pump installed in a high-performance home. This is a difficult conversation to have with most HVAC firms since there is little experience with these systems compared to standard fossil-burning furnaces and boilers. This is especially true in cold climates, even as consensus grows among experts and policymakers that electrified home heating is the likeliest path toward a decarbonized economy. Companies remain profitable by managing risk, and I realize what I was asking for presents greater risk than their core services. Normally, I would move on to find another provider, but they also happen to be the only distributor for the cold-climate heat pump brand my third-party designer had specified for my house and climate.I had them out to do a comfort consult in fall 2021 and requested a quote on a “hybrid” system (heat pump with gas furnace backup) for installation in 2022 as part of a deep-energy retrofit of a 70-year-old home. The consultant was wonderful and interested in our project, but mentioned it would be a tough sell to the service manager. I expected this, and it seems to have been the case, as I called and emailed them 4-5 times in the months after, and never received the quote. I know supply chains have been insane and it’s a struggle for most businesses to keep up with their most basic services, so again, I don’t really fault them at all for not taking on the added risk. I do want others in my position to be aware that if you are building or renovating your home to a performance standard that confronts the reality of rising fossil energy prices (see: Hilcorp’s warnings about Cook Inlet regional gas supplies), more extreme weather, more frequent and severe air pollution from wildfires, etc., you might want to look elsewhere for an HVAC shop more willing to lean into the future.

Earlier this year I engaged Diamond heating for the installation of a replacement HVAC unit on my downtown Anchorage commercial building. This type of installation can be complex with mechanical and structural engineering as well as gas and electrical requirements planned in advance of permitting. Working with Jack at Diamond heating greatly simplified and streamlined the process. Once the unit arrived in Anchorage, Herm and Brandon performed the installation over three days working late on the third day to stay on schedule. The next day, after inspection approval, Russ came out and provided me a hands on tutorial of the startup and maintenance requirements. Overall, due to diligent planning, the entire job came off on time, on budget and with top quality workmanship. Most businesses take a lifetime to respond through email. Demi came over right away and fixed the problem. A week later our heat was not working again. I gave them a call, Jerry called me back right away, and had Jim come fix the problem that same morning. They were all so kind and considerate! Would definitely recommend them.

I called six (6) local Anchorage Plumbing and Heating companies today (1 Nov 2018). I needed a quick simple estimate to replace a hydronic garage heater in a two car garage. Diamond was the only company that found time in the day to send some one to my house. Out of the other five companies I called, one company scheduled me for tomorrow (2 Nov), another one for 28 Nov, and the rest neither took calls or returned calls.The gentleman called prior to stopping by to let me know he was in route. He checked out the current hydronic heater setup, asked questions, and quickly determined that I didn't need a replacement. He troubleshot the existing set-up and saved me a ton of money. His honesty, integrity, and personality tell the story of just were Diamond Heating is currently and where they will be in the future. When my furnace went out when we woke up on a Saturday morning ( as of course I had a house full of people staying with me that weekend) I called Diamond Heating and they were there almost by the time I hung up the phone. (My visitors were very impressed) I can't remember who came out first (and I apologize) but he was wonderful and explained what was wrong. He gets kudos also. They brought me space heaters to use in the meantime. Joe came over on Monday and helped me order a new furnace. My water heater was as old as my furnace so I wanted that replaced also. (What is the saying, when you least expect it something will happen and it did with my furnace so I didn't want that happening with my water heater.) My experience was wonderful. Jack, Herm and Jim were great to work with and really went the extra mile to get everything working. The HRV was especially troublesome but Jack and Herm stuck with it and got it working as designed. They were always on time for a scheduled service time which helps tremendously.

I called me Diamond since they are familar with Trane units. System had been blowing cold air since 09/03. Home warranty company allowed me to choose my own tech after the one they assigneddiagnosed problem as a control panel issue then never followed up with contacting me or the warrantycompany. Diamond was able to dispatch 2 techs earlier than we originally scheduled so I was able to avoid an after hours charge. Keith and Albert were very professional, personable, and patient as I asked them questions to fill out the documentation for reimbursement on my computer as they were working on the furnace. Issue was a faulty gas valve not the control panel. Highly recommend them for any heating issues!

Only wish they didn't limit us to 5 stars. We have them service both heating units at our house every year. This year we had an issue with the downstairs heater and they came out right away and got our heat working. If you're looking for a dependable and professional company, this is the one.Albert came by to do the annual inspection on our heaters. While he was doing that he took some time to look at the garage heater also and found a crack in it that I hadn't noticed. Could have been a big safety issue that went unchecked.

Jim came out to my house and was just amazing...he answered all my questions!

Our water heater wasn't producing hot water. We called Diamond Heating/AirTemp Alaska, and they sent a tech out. He diagnosed the issue and then told my wife, who was there to meet him, that if it were him, he would just buy a new water heater. My wife commented that the water heater was newer, installed fewer than six years ago just before we purchased our home. The tech challenged her on that assumption, saying that the water heater could be the original water heater from 1996 and we were lied to during the sale. Finding it hard to believe that the tech couldn't distinguish between a three-decade old water heater and a six-year old water heater, my wife looked up the serial number online. The water heater is, in fact, six years old. In fact, it was still under warranty. So my wife asked the tech for a quote to simply repair the water heater, and he obliged. His estimate was just over a thousand dollars.The next day, I learned that a coworker's husband is a reputable plumber. He came by and diagnosed the problem. He found the same issue as the Diamond Heating/AirTemp Alaska tech. However, his opinion was that there was no need to buy a new water heater. He suggested that we replace a part and had the problem fixed within two hours for less than $250.Who can say whether this was an isolated experience or a routine business practice? I just know that we'll send our business elsewhere in the future.

I’ll start off by saying I usually never write reviews. I would be remissed if I did not give kudos where they are due. The crew that came to install a new gas line for my gas stove were extremely personable and professional! They took the time to answer all my questions and even walk me through the various steps! They went up and beyond and I will be recommending their services to anyone and everyone who needs their assistance.

Excellent technicians and professional. The reason why I knock them down a star is that the part that they charged me over $60 dollars for I was able to find online for $19.15 (including shipping to Alaska). A company should never charge more for parts than the customer can buy themselves; but still that is not the technicians fault...that is management/owner problem. I a slightly positive note, they did give me a military discount of 5%. So I am thankful for that, the same day response and a technician that knows what he is doing.

I’ve been in my current home for five years and have used three different companies to perform service and repairs to my HVAC system. It wasn’t until I had an outage last year and Diamond HVAC was the only company available at my time of need. It was off hours, overtime, busy season. Regardless of that scenario they quoted me an extremely fair price and lower than their competition. Second and most importantly was Demetrius, the on site field technician. Professional, highly skilled, knew the product well and how to repair it the correct way (the last company caused the outage due to improper installation that Demetrius identified), customer focused, on time and extremely quick to resolve the issue and had us back up and running again. Due to that experience from Demetrius, I will never use another company outside of Diamond. I recently signed up for their year over year comfort plan. This is a lesson for other companies on how important it is to have great employees on the front lines. They are the face of your brand, your overall product and for me at least is why I will continue to be a long term customer with this company. Great job Demetrius. I also want to add, that the culture must run throughout the company. Calling in on the phone to set service up, the phone rang once, It was professionally answered immediately by a Danielle (not an IVR system), answered all of my questions, booked an appointment the next day for service, signed me up for their year over year maintenance plan. Today I received a text from Kara relaying that the technician was enroute and asked if I was ready for him, Demetrius arrived on site and consistently took care of the job as he did on his last trip. Sep 2022, 50 year old cast iron boiler started acting up. Joe came out and provided me with quotes for a few different brands and in various configurations. I opted for high efficiency IBC unit. April 2023, called to make installation appointment and found the current price went down, not up! Even with current inflation! Utilized their interest-free financing through Wells Fargo.May 2023, Justin and Brandon replaced the boiler, hot water heater and garage heater with new units. The original quote was for 4 days and that's what it took, even though one of them was called away a couple times.They did a fantastic job. Happy with the quality of their workmanship and attention to detail. Very professional and easy to get along with. They answered all my questions, addressed any concerns. They also accommodated a couple extra request items during the installation.With IBC's 10-year Parts and Labor warranty and with Diamond Heating / Airtemp Alaska set to come out annually to do the inspection & servicing, I'm expecting this new system should run well and last for a very long time to come.I'd give them a 9.9. I have used this business before and they wereprofessional, fixed the issue. Last year great. This year. Terrible. I called with a heat out situation. They could get to me in a week. I managed to get the heating system rebooted. I requested 3 items for the appointment. Check the error that caused the shutdown, service the boile and discus a wifi thermostat.They called the day before take payment for their service before they come out. Next, boiler service,no can do next March was the 1st availability. They did show. Nothing on a wifi thermostat. Found 2 items bad. Expansion tank & pressure valve. He put the estimate in the body of the notes. The price seamed high so asked for a breakdown. No can do we quote as a job we do not break down materials & labor.They wanted 819.00 to change the parts. Let me just say. I went to central plumbing and bought the 2 part for 160. List. That would put labor at over 600. For a 1 hr job. I hired another plumber to do the work. Yep 1 hr. With travel 1.5 hrs.I am done with diamond. Their practices are deceptive. Gouging would be another. Buyer beware

This company is fast and professional and does good work. They put up with me trying to replace the floors under the furnace and hot water heater while they were working. They even raised some duct work to give me more room in the mechanical room for storage. Joe got me a good price and fast service even in the middle of winter. He also saved me money on some code correction updates that another contractor tried to upsell me on but Joe personally called the muni inspector to verify was not needed in my house. Diamond Heating was fantastic when my heater went out with below zero temperatures outside. They had a technician out within hours. Unfortunately for us the furnace needed to be replaced and they were booked out to the following week. They went above and beyond and were able to supply portable heaters while we waited for a replacement. I was thrilled when they called the next day and said they'd install the new furnace that afternoon. Within 24 hour we had a warm home. Thank you Diamond Heating!

Quick and responsive. Tech who came out was friendly and professional. Diagnosed the problem got the parts and had us up and running in short order. From the initial call to the boiler being fixed was smooth, quick and friendly- not to mention not the 5 days to 3 weeks that the other big guys in town quoted. Called at 8am boiler running by 3pm.

Woke-up on a Freezing Saturday morning with our Furnace making a whistling sound. I called several places but they’re charging so much because it’s Saturday. Called Diamond heating at 7:30AM, Keith arrived before 8 and charged a minimal consultation fee. Within 10 minutes, he figured out what’s wrong and fixed it within his promised time. We get our heat inspected by other company every year but none of them educated us the way Diamond did about filters. We strongly recommend this Company.

The technician Tyler was excellent. He was incredibly thorough, on time, did excellent work and was in general a nice guy. He found a few issues with our equipment, some he fixed on the spot and others he sent off for a quote. I highly recommend.

Fast to come out and action a temp fix to get heat back up and running. Once the part arrived they were quick to get it installed. Pricing is a bit high (due to silicon prices for circuit boards)

Dispatch was quick to respond and coordinate a technician to get out on site. Technician came, repaired a broken part, checked to make sure the heater worked and 2 days later failure. Emailed again and stated our initial request was a full service to ensure there were no problems (I understand weird things happen) and the technician came out to say it was gas valve problem and damaged one of our connectors in the process and half-a**ed repairing it. However the technician did not charge for labor or call out the second time. That evening no heat just a loud relay click sound because there is poor connectivity. After emailing customer service I decided after two weeks and $1,000 in repairs with no heat that I was going to use a different company who wasn't going to rush a patch job and take the time to go through each step of the process. The only reason this isn't a 1 star is because of the dispatch staff were responsive and friendly.

Requested an appointment at 9:30am, they arrived on time, friendly and fast service. requested an inspection and cleaning for my furnace and hot water heater. the techs answered all my questions, very professional. my dogs liked them too

Was having an issue with my hot water heater where the pilot would go out and then leak gas a bit. Dimond came out, quickly diagnosed the issue as a bad thermocouple and replaced it. Even showed me how to replace it in the future if it needs it again. Recommended them highly for their quick response and fix.

Had Diamond Heating/Air Temp do a service call on our boiler last winter, one of the valves was faulty & they had to order the part. They brought us a BUNCH of portable heaters to keep us toasty until the part came in the very next day! Great Service!!!

Just bought a new forced air furnace from Joe Dudley there. He and his installer, Troy, have transformed our home life. We replaced a 32 year old unit that kicked out dust bunnies every time the loud furnace kicked on.The new unit has a fan that spins 24 hours a day that you cannot hear. It’s connected to a hospital grade air filter that filters out everything in the air, even down to the finest particles (mold, bacteria, and viruse). We also no longer need to dust our house hardly ever at all (maybe once a year and still there is hardly anything).Buy from Joe; don’t wait. It’ll improve your life.P.S. if you’re strapped, they have many different options of 0% financing.

We opted to replace our 22 year-old furnace rather than wait untill it failed. We scheduled the work with Diamond well in advance which was a good thing because we needed the lead time to source the appropriate equipment. All the staff and installation crew were very informative and helpful. While no one likes spending so much on house maintainence, I'm gald we did so with such a professional organization.

My first encounter was with Keith and he was phenomenal. He walked me through trouble shooting some things over the phone to avoid having an after hours service, which I very much appreciated. He did finally end up coming out and the interaction was great. My next interaction was with Joe and he was also great. He has responded quickly to my questions and provided quotes. I have been been pricing and comparing with other companies and so far I am very please with my experience. I have one quote from another company with comparable product quality and warranties but lower cost and hope to make my decision shortly on which company to go with.

We were/are worried about our 12 year old Lennox gas fired, hot air furnace. After talking with Joe, the sales/estimator person, we elected to start with an inspection/cleaning for $209. Tom came to our home today (a little earlier than expected) to do the work. He explained what was going on with our furnace (no emergencies) and we explored the possibility of a new blower fan. Since the old furnace is a Lennox, all parts are proprietary and darned expensive. Installing a new motor would be around $1000 and would be no guarantee that other old parts would not fail. My wife and I gave it some thought and elected to have Joe come out an give us a bid on a new Trane furnace as that seems to be the most cost effective way to go. Everyone I have dealt with at Diamond has been honest and professional. You can't ask for much more. The prices are within reason also. After the cleaning/inspection the furnace seems to be running great. It looked like Tom used the proper instruments to get the work done which altogether took about 1 1/2 hours. I'm pleased with the entire transaction.SECOND PHASEIn January 2020 it seemed like our old Lennox furnace was getting noisier and noisier. We talked with Joe at Diamond Heating and elected to have a furnace cleaning/inspection. The man that came out was honest, told us our furnace would probably get us through the rest of Winter but that if we insisted he could replace the blower motor for about $1000 with no guarantee that the rest of the components would not start failing. I had done my research to determine that Trane is American Standard (among the top 5 recommended) and that the parts are easily replaced should they fail. Joe Dudley (we had previously dealt with 2 of his brothers) came out to do an estimate. While here, Joe gave us several options and honestly answered our questions. We ended up getting the Trane S9V2 high-efficiency 2-stage variable furnace which was installed about 2 weeks after we ordered it. The installation went seamlessly as the guys doing it were true professionals. The only glitch we have run into is that the muni inspector wants a different exhaust for our existing water heater and Joe worked with us on that cost. For the past 6 weeks, the furnace has performed perfectly. The only negative comment is that when the evaporator pump dumps its water into the washer drain line it sounds like a moose is peeing in it. Both the inspector and Joe say that is probably due to snow blocked vent pipe so we will see what happens this spring when they come out to fix the exhaust. All in all – a minimum of 5 stars. Quiet, comfortable and significantly more efficient.Third PhaseDiamond has done our yearly furnace maintenance for the last three years. They continue to be as good now as they were in the beginning. Albert came out yesterday and took care of the necessary maintenance in an efficient manner. I'm still very satisfied with this business.

Great quick service for annual furnace and hot water heater maintenance. The technician was friendly and informative, and did a thorough and efficient job.

Not only were they professional but extremely integrity driven.I had a technician come to my house due to a problem getting my heat started. The first technician quoted me and believed it was a control board and I agreed to have them order one. Two weeks later, I got a call from Diamond Heating to let me know that they believe I should get a second opinion. They send out another technician (free of charge). They certainly could have nickel and dimed me given the circumstances but when they found the problem was a simple fix- they charge a very small fee for what was needed. Hard to find integrity like that. I’ll be recommending them often.

Diamond heating did an install little over a year ago. They came out twice for courtesy inspection. Since then we had a leak. Due to schedule and living out in the valley, we agreed upon a date/time. The tech was very prompt, called ahead. Tom did a walk through if the system. They are an Anchorage based company however they waved the travel fee. It was leaking from a plumbing pipe but it's not something they fix. They gave me a place to go to.I have more work that needs to be done to my heating system, we are going to expand on it. Once we save up enough for it they will have my business. I've dealt with them several times, very courteous, reply by phone and email.Owning a house is an investment, they are not the lowest nor the highest bid I received. I know the work they do is top notch, my investment is in good hands.

We had a nice conversation about ways Diamond heating could ensure the customer fully understands what they are paying for and what they are getting for the price. She was very friendly and wanted to make things right. She offered to refund some of my fee which I declined. In the end we agreed that the partial refund should go to a charity that they support.After our discussion I feel confident that Diamond Heating will make a few small changes that will benefit both them and their customers. We needed to have our on-demand water heaters and furnace serviced. They are less than a year old so I figured they wouldn't need much. I called around to about 5 different places and found their quote of $99 for a call out fee with one hour of labor to be the best deal so I made the appointment.The tech arrived on time and was very friendly and competent. However, a little after an hour as he was wrapping up I inquired as to the bill and I was told $210. Uhhh what? For the additional $110 the technician adjusted the gas valve, replaced the filters (with my own) and put a plastic bag inside the furnace to keep water from dripping down inside. This was an issue with the vent pipe from when the house was built. So he used no parts whatsoever.I called in to the store and asked about the more than doubling of the bill, and was told that this was actually a good deal and he gave me a discount..? Now this may or may not be true, but there are two problems. One the $99 fee should really be called a $99 fee to simply arrive at your house fee, as you get nothing else from that money. And to me it's really misleading. Two, while every other company in town may have also charged me $210 for the same service, it's still a rip-off.

I contacted Diamond Heating to have my furnace cleaned and serviced. They got a tech out quickly, and they called me when he was on his way. Albert came by and did a great job! He took his time to inspect everything, and answer my questions. He was kind, educated about his skill, and pretty funny! Before he left he cleaned everything and changed my filter out for me. Great job, I’m happy with my experience and would highly recommend and plan to use Diamond Heating again. Thank you!

I 1000% would use these guys again.They were very quick to come out and inspect our failed furnace and dropped off some heaters the following day to keep us warm while we waited for our new furnace installation.The new furnace is working flawlessly and as advertised.

Very happy with the service from Diamond Heating. They were able to schedule us in much faster than anyone else. Tom was quick to figure out the problem with our HRV and got things working correctly again. Will definitely use them again in the future.

Tom was efficient, pleasant & very knowledgeable about what was needed to help me out today. Job well done. I would give a five star rating! I’m so glad I called and they were able to switch schedules around so that they could see me quickly, because I needed help as soon as possible. I had all kinds of problems. Gas leak, carbon monoxide leak, furnace was so dangerous he had to shut off the heat. So yeah, I am super grateful that Tom came out today! Thanks to everybody, I am safe tonight, where as not so much yesterday!!!

I would like to share my experience with Diamond Heating and Air Temp Alaska. First, I will be honest, this is not my first rodeo. I have called them out to the house before. The first time, we had a small gas leak. And we could smell it. Scary stuff. The techs came out and knew exactly what the issue was repaired it and then just happened to notice that my vent in the garage that provides proper air flow to the outside had been taped up. My painter had done this to stay warm while he was working on some projects. I didn't even notice. That tech probably saved our lives! He also explained that our boiler was old. He said we could probably get some more life out of it but to just to be aware that the years were numbered. Honesty - how wonderful! He could have just said this thing is done - you need to replace it right away!Second experience: Our boiler was leaking water and I again called Diamond. Tyler came out. It was super windy. When Tyler arrived he saw me chasing down my neighbors trash bins in the street. He stopped his van jumped out and helped me wrangle the trash bins. Pretty nice right... And then he diagnosed my issue. Russ another specialist came over to help him install the new parts. And just like that, the boiler was back up and running. Thanks be to Russ and Tyler! And then, they noticed that the board that was holding my garage heater needed to be tightened. So they jumped on their ladder and added some extra screws and tightened it up for me. Again, maybe saving us from ourselves - for the second time.I am so thankful - it nearly brought me to tears. I offered to buy them lunch and Tyler kindly turned me down. Can you believe that? And keep in mind that these guys were at my place through the dinner hour. That level of customer service is so hard to find here. If you live here in Anchorage, you know what I am talking about. If you call Diamond Heating & Air Temp, you will be getting stellar individuals who obviously care about people and about doing excellent work!

Our technician, Tom, was punctual and very professional in describing what work was accomplished and what to watch for regarding the performance of our furnace since it is approaching its service life. I highly recommend him.

Literally everything from the initial inquiry to the install was amazing. Cece literally took care of all the logistics of my duct install. Then, Joe comes out amd offers great ideas to what I assumed would be a complex install. They were able to get Mike and his team out there super fast. Mike even called me and made it very clear, I'm here to do whatever you need, we want you happy. This is great business. As my project evolved and the other contractor ran into challenges I needed to get Diamond back out to make small tweeks. They were there without questioning why. I am a lifetime customer. Seriously, this place is remarkable, they're AMAZING!!!!!!!!

Had a whole home humidifier installed by them. They communicated well throughout the whole process from initial consultation through post-installation follow-ups. They stand by their work after the sale. Highly recommended.

Cal out fee $120. Tech Tyler new his job and was done on one hour. Needed a rollout switch. Switch cost $118. System worked for one day. Then shut down. Called service. Again. They said they would consult with the tech. Called back. Tech told them it needed another rollout switch. They called me to tellMe this. But that the part was only available in Soldatna. A town far away and that would I like air or postal shipping ? At this time knowing that the WeilMclain boiler I have has a local Anchorage distributor I decided to call them. Circle Plumbing Supply the distributor had 3 pieces of the Rollout switch in stock. Cost $34. I went and bought one and installed it. Furnace works again. And I have heat. I decided to post my exact experience and costs so people can read it and make their own decisions regarding this service
