Best New Home in Anchorage AK

Suppose to put in a new dryer vent run. Duck taped the existing one in and charged me an exorbitant price. My electrician discovered the shoddy installation.

Worked very quickly, kept things friendly and clean, charged reasonable rate. They were very honest and upfront about what costs would be, and were willing to work with my schedule. They not only called ahead before arrival, but when there was an unexpected opening earlier the same day, they offered the other time slot to me.

They installed an entire bathroom for us in what was previously a storage space. They installed all fixtures/fans and re-routed the plumbing to accommodate the new space. They even added spot shut off valves for our convenience that was above the original scope of work. We plan to utilize them on future projects. Got it done quickly and within stated timeline.

I am thrilled with the quality of service I received from Apex Plumbing & Heating. These guys know what they're doing and they will get it done for you. They were prompt, polite, and above all knowledgeable. I wouldn't hesitate to use their services again!

These guys are great! The level of customer service they provide is unmatched here in Anchorage.Upon discovering that my boiler/heater unit was not properly functioning, I contacted Dana. Within minutes, he responded and got me in touch with the admin staff and technician to set up my appointment for early the following day.Keith showed up on time despite having 6 inches of new snow on the roads and was keen to help me with my problem. He quickly determined the issue and informed me of the best way to go about tackling it. He was very informative and happy to answer any questions I had.The morning after the service, I received a call from Cara in the office inquiring about my experience and wondering if I had any questions about the service. Called and they were able to get me on the schedule for the next day. It ended up being a quick fix and we had water again. The service was efficient and he was kind, professional, and answered my other questions. Would definitely call them again!

I called John, a few min on the phone, I felt confident I called the correct person, John showed up precisely when he said he would be there, the repair was made, the man is a wealth of information, I will be calling John for any future plumbing or heating repairs or maintenance. Called on an emergency twice as over a foot of water in crawl space Sunday 29 Aug broken sump pump (Left that on the voicemail). They were listed on a warranty contract to call the next business day, which would have been the 30th (Monday). I received that confirmation email at 6:29P.. No response to my 2 calls Sunday eve which I understand, but no response via text either on Monday (voicemail says they may respond faster via text left at 815 AM). Nothing, although the warranty email states they would call the next business day.

Called another service on Tuesday and they were out within 40 minutes of my call and fixed the sump pump in less than an hour. It's unfortunate one attempt to communicate in a timely manner would have prevented this. This review is based on their lack of response as I didn't have a chance to rate their work this time.

Fixed my problem unlike Moore Heating. Nice tech who explained the problem and unlike the other company stayed to make sure it was working!

Tom replaced the upstairs sink faucet and did a good job; he also replaced the p-trap at a later date. He made a parts run for the faucet and charged only the cost of part. His work is good and he's a likable guy.

A+ Home Services is a great company to work with. After getting 5 competing bids, I had septic systems in three different homes completely replaced by A+ in 2017 and found them to be competitive, experienced, fast, efficient and thorough. Mike always answered his phone, no matter when I called, which is extremely important to me- I am a contractor myself (out of state) so I can be very demanding on my jobs, and as a customer. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, including the secretary manning the phones at the office. I recommend them highly..and it takes a lot for me to say that.

Buyer beware: if anything goes wrong it will be blamed on you.

Sound Mechanical has absolutely MISERABLE customer service. It is apparently not within the realm of possibility that this company can make a mistake. When we mentioned to the owner that his workers left a beer bottle behind he told us we were lying and cussed at us. We could care less that there was a beer bottle left behind, just wanted him to know as a business owner. We also let him know that the dryer vent was now disconnected (they had to move the washer and dryer to get to the water heater). He informed me that someone must have moved the washer and dryer after they left. The washer and dryer are a million pounds and neither me nor my tenants touched it after they left. We also didn't care that they made mistakes, just wanted it fixed. The owner was irate that we pointed these things out and used foul language when speaking to us. Last noteworthy items, they did not replace the bathroom door, they left it in my tenants bedroom. They left crud all over the floor in their work area. They also damaged the railing outside my house when they launched the old water heater over the railing instead of walking it down. You'd never believe it, but he didn't apologize for that either.

Epic quality of service!

The whole team at Rock Solid did an amazing job for us when our furnace quit working in the middle of a very cold week this spring. They were very prompt to come out and diagnose the problems we were having and got us a quote for a new furnace quickly and had us scheduled for the replacement in a timely manner. David and Jason came out and installed the new furnace and they did an amazing job! Overall we had a great experience with Rock Solid and will definitely recommend them to our friends and family.
