Best Plumbing Leak Detection in Detroit MI

We purchased two new 40 gallon water heaters through Home Depot for about $4,000. HD contracted with DRF who in turn contracted with Hoover. Hoover was good on communication, calling and sending texts about the arrival of their technician. They were professional, and cleaned up the area nicely. Unfortunately, the water heaters produced only tepid water in the first 24 hours. The technician returned, and changed the height of a dip tube. That produced hot water, but we had to run the kitchen sink for 4.5 minutes to get water at 110 degrees, despite its location about 30 linear feet from the tanks. On the third visit, a more experienced technician decided we needed significant changes to the way the water came in and out of the tanks, with five new valves and a cost to us of $835. If this had been in the original quote, we might have seen it as reasonable. Now, this project has caused us to be home four days in the last week, and it cost us more than other quotes we received. We are very disappointed.

Excellent service! Our bathroom sink wasn’t mounted properly by the contractor and fell off the wall and shattered. George was able to come out and install the new sink and was wonderful! Will definitely use again in a plumbing emergency!

Shocking price surprise after they come to your door, my mother had her experience with this company and she said that this guy is a common trade rat, dealing with them was an absolute big money loss for simple service that could be done by someone else for 1/5 the price they charged.

Had Creggar out to install a backwater valve on my sewer lead. They told me that were going to reroute a pipe that was in their way, instead of being buried the pipe would be above ground. At the end of the day they came to me and said there was going to be an extra $1000 charge for that work. If they were going to charge me that much either way I would have had them bury it. This is not how changes should be handled. I was never given the opportunity to make an informed decision. Totally unprofessional.

Had this company come out when my toilet overflowed and destroyed my house. They came so quick and fixed my issue and helped me figure out how to have the flooring replaced! Would use them again. Highly recommend. They also are very respectful of Covid and use mask and shoe covers.

No call, no show. As others have stated, they guaranteed an arrival window and said someone would call 30 minutes beforehand. Neither happened. The first red flag was that they mentioned the service fee would be $125 for a plumber to inspect the situation, but for another $24, I could get a top-tier, unlimited, free service calls for the year. So, I say, Okay. Let's do that. Then the guy on the phone who sounds like he's in a call center instead of at the plumber's office asks for my credit card information. I tell him I'm not about to give my credit card info to them over them over the phone without ever having done business with them nor without having the service person arrive at my house and do the work. The call center guy is pushing about selling me on the $149 package and insistent on locking me into the system at that rate. I interrupt, You can stop trying to sell me on that package if it requires me giving a stranger my credit card info over the phone. If the $125 package will bring someone to my house and have me pay them after they do their work, give me that one. Again, no one called or arrived. It's a sketchy business. For comparison, I've had the HVAC people come to my house and my sister's house. They charge $79 for an inspection fee which goes into the cost of any service they render if you choose to pay for said service, and you pay them on site via cash or card reader AFTER the work is complete.
