The awesome folks at Cregger, especially Carl and Scott, were life savers during the recent flooding crisis. We literally saw one of the Cregger vans on our street, gave them a call, and they were over within just a couple of hours. They diagnosed the problem, were back the next day to do a full furnace install, and then came back the following day to sort out some problems. All along the way both Carl and Scott were professional, helpful, understanding, timely, and did great work. We cannot say enough about this company and these two. We are thrilled to finally find a plumbing/heating and cooling company that has great service, exceptionally fair pricing, and great customer service.

Derek and his helper were great in helping me with my emergency. My hot water heater stopped working and was making hissing noise and leaking water profusely. I didn't know if the heater was going to explode or not. So, I called Cregger Plumbing and they sent Derek and his helper Marie. The two of them had the problem diagnosed and action taken immediately to ensure my safety until I could have the heater replaced. Thanks Cregger Plumbing and Heating.

Thanks to Cregger for excellent work and above and beyond service. After our basement flooded and our furnace had been submerged we contacted Cregger to take a look and give an estimate. Carl was responsive, answered all my questions, and communicated promptly. Carl and Scott returned the very next day to install the new unit. Scott later followed up quickly and effectively when we called about a concern we had overnight; Monica, who we spoke to on the phone was super helpful. Every step of the way both guys were upbeat and friendly. We will unquestionably call Cregger again for not only our HVAC needs, but for plumbing, too!

They have a boiler master!! Jason came over and identified a number of settings and functional issues/repairs that we didn’t know about as new homeowners of a house built in 1928. For the first time since we moved in, we have our various “zones” set in a way where all areas of our house have a consistent temperature. Still more work to be done, but are happy.

Mike came by today to do a thorough cleaning of the sewer line from the house to the city line. There were some fibrous roots at the joints of the sewer line which he cleaned up really well and was verified by the camera. He will return in a year for another camera inspection to check on any future growth. Mike is very professional and polite. We would recommend him in a heartbeat. Cregger Plumbing Heating and Cooling is well represented by employees like Mike.

Our heater wasn’t working properly, so I looked at different Cooling and Heating companies in our area with Cregger being one of the highest rated & reviewed. Cregger lived up to their reviews! Called this morning and had an appointment with a technician same afternoon, Derrick was very professional and informative with his explanations/work. Thank you!

First contact and first appointment were perfect. Employees are personable, and tech texted me when he was on his way - with a photo even! Not sure about value yet, as I have not received an estimate for the work needed, but based on the customer service alone, I am happy with my choice.

This company was responsive and professional. They called me within a couple of hours from my initial message on their website. The service call was only a few days later. Kevin, the technician who performed the service (garbage disposal replacement) was friendly, quick, and competent. Next time I need a plumber, I'll definitely call Cregger again. I asked a million questions since this is my first time owning a home with a steam boiler and Kevin answered all of my questions and helped me to understand what I have in the house. I am very happy with Cregger. They came out and did a backflow valve installation on Monday. They had the job done and inspected the same day.

I had a recurrent leak from the upstairs bathroom down into my living room. Danny came out as requested (required a 2 week wait), however I survived. Danny identified a few issues and presented options to resolve issues. Leak was repaired effectively. Plumbing is so expensive but very satisfied with the work. The office staff is very courteous and pleasant, Danny is a pleasure to work with, always courteous professional and polite. I highly recommend this company.

We were dealing with some plumbing issues for a little while and getting different opinions. Had Bill come out and he gave his assessment of what was happening and was very thorough, explaining every scenario and what could be done to fix if needed. Ben and DJ(? I may have his name wrong) both showed up on time and were really helpful in analyzing an issue with my shower drain potential leak. They were professional and clean, very helpful and knowledgeable.They determined that the issue was actually most likely just coming from a small leak most likely due to old caulking, and gave me advice on how to do this myself because I am able to do so, rather than ripping apart my shower to fix an issue they truly didn't believe was the root cause. Saving me from some time and costs that might be unnecessary.They told me what and how to fix it so that I could try this out first, yet assured me I can call them back if my fix doesn't resolve the issue and they would come out and re-access. But they were confident which made me feel confident and they left making sure I knew exactly what the probable cause is.Thank you both for your time, knowledge, and reassurance that this issue might actually be a lot smaller and easier fix, rather than just performing a service that could have potentially left me with the same issue.

I recently used Cregger to repair a small leak in the bathroom sink. They were very responsive. The service tech was very polite, personable and knowledgeable. However, I think the pricing was too high for the job performed. I would consider using them again because of the great service, but I would try to get the price first and compare to others.

Derek was helpful and did a thorough job of troubleshooting my HVAC issues. Though the age of the HVAC system made for a difficult fix, Derek was able to provide good direction for steps forward.

The toilet in my master bathroom was not filling smoothly. Mr. Pittman did a “minor rebuild” which he explained means replacing everything in the tank, it turns out the flapper was near the end of it’s useful life, too.Mr. Pittman worked quickly and efficiently, did not leave a mess, and explained the parts and labor warranties before he left.He was courteous and respectful and I’m very happy to have my toilet working properly again 👍🏻😃

It turned out to be a very minor issue when we were expecting the worst. He was also extremely helpful in explaining things. I used Cregger Plumbing last year to snake out my sewer line. The Professional Service, the clean up, he listen to you and he explain what they did. Creggar Plumbing was extremely professional, quick and courteous with their service. They were able to install necessary equipment so that we were able to have our repair done in one day/one visit!!

Called Creeger on Friday afternoon, they came out Saturday at 9:00 a.mSaturday is a regular business day, no up charge which is great!They texted 30 min before arrival, arrived in time. Chris told me what work needed done and the cost. Completed the work within 30 minutes. Left the area as he found it and was super social with both myself and our pets. Great guy. Have never used this company but will definitely call them for future needs.

Brian replaced my Sump pump which had failed sending water across my basement floor.They were responsive and communicated their arrival time, which was helpful.When asked to wear a mask Brian complied and insisted he wear shoe covers, which was the right thing to do.This was more of an emergency situation, so I can't speak to cost as I didn't get multiple estimates.It would have been less expensive to handle myself (which I could have) but then I would have had to do the work myself, right?Unfortunately, after the repair there was a small leak at one of the joints, and Brian had to come back first thing the following AM to repair.While they were responsive and took care of the issue, leaks are things plumbers should be fixing, not leaving behind.

Mat was my plumber that worked on capping a gas line in my attic. He was professional, knowledgeable, efficient, and was able to get the job done in record time considering the obstacles that he endured. I would 100% recommend Cregger for a friend or family member. Danny and crew showed up and worked all day to repair and replace our old leaky pipes. They did very thorough and professional quality work, at a reasonable price. I used Cregger for both my house and my business for repairs and new systems. They were very helpful and professional. The office staff really tries to help you out as quickly as possible. Carl worked on both locations and made me very comfortable and sure of the work. They're the best !!!!

I was happy that they got in, took care of the issues I had and headed out. I had a couple skeptical issues with the job, considering they said they had to use soft pipe instead of hard pipe, whatever that is, and then they didn't relight my pilots after the service. They did hook up my dryer for me so I'm grateful, and the cold made us look for our cat and we found her with a big sore and took her to the vet and found out it was cancerous... If not for that, then she may have suffered longer. Overall an experience I'd not wish on anyone, but they did a good job as far as I can tell, professional and fast. Maybe next time relight the pilots for people if you turn their gas off, but in this case it may have been a net positive.

I believe my most recent experience with Cregger plumbing Was my 3rd time hiring them.The Master plumber who came the 1st 2 times Was no longer in their Employ so they sent Jeff to me instead. Much to my delight, I think I like Jeff even better than the 1st one as he was able to do what I was told could not be done and that was to successfully Make the original sink in my circa 1937 house work again. Although the drain mechanism itself is still frozen, he somehow managed to unplug the drain so I don't have a pool of standing water for 24 hours after turning on the taps. What a joy It was, after owning this house for 2 years, to finally be able to use the sink! Kudos to Jeff for his excellent work and Cregger plumbing will not disappoint you.

Cregger replaced the sewer line from our house to the street. This involved pulling permits, digging a 10-foot deep trench, removing Orangeburg pipe, and putting in new pipe. Cregger was easy to work with and professional. They seem to be familiar with the city inspectors and were able to adjust their plans based on what the city inspector wanted. I'm so glad I can check this off of our house to-do list now!

Although it's not pleasant to begin the new year with a plumbing problem, the experience was great. My sewer line insurance called two other plumbing companies to come snake my line, neither were successful and both told me my line had collapsed (one quoted me 30k to fix it). I called Cregger based off of some good reviews I had heard and they were able to squeeze me in the next day. Within twenty minutes of being here they had cleared a good portion of my line—they recommended a Hydrojetting to clear out the rest of the roots and were upfront and transparent about the costs, they’ll be back next week to finish the job. 10/10 would recommend.

They repaired a gas line valve and hooked up our washer/dryer unit that required a gas line for the dryer. They did a great job. Very happy with the work.

Shane was great! He came out earlier than scheduled and was able to clear out our basement drain within the hour. He asked me to run a fast cycle twice to confirm the job was done to his satisfaction. No backing up issues anymore! Definitely recommend Cregger to anyone looking for a reliable plumbing company.

My furnace wasn't heating the house, and my usual heating company was overloaded; they recommended people who were also too busy, but they recommended Cregger. Cregger claimed to be fully booked during the day and offered after-hours services with an added extra charge of $195. Being essentially over a barrel on this one, since I didn't want pipes to freeze, I paid said charge. The guy who came out handled the problem quickly, professionally, and effectively, so no problem there. I just balked a little at the charge, especially since I'm in a situation where I really couldn't avoid it, given that the consequences of not doing it would have been much worse.

We had an issue with our plumbing and needed emergency services. From reception to the service Matthew Harriman performed on our house was stellar. The entire process from my phone call to finished service was around a couple hours. I had been working with another local plumbing business but not anymore! I will be calling Cregger!UPDATE: we have since used Cregger a few more times, including today from major to minor issues. Today we had Andrew who was very friendly and took the time to educate me.

Cregger was able to perform a next day emergency furnace replacement at my mother's residence. They were communicative, professional, and timely throughout the entire process and I greatly appreciate the care they showed to my mother. Scott, Derrick and the other team member installed a new furnace and A/C. They hauled away the old furnace and cleaned up the area inside and outside. Our experience with Cregger Plumbing was outstanding! My initial call to CP was taken by Emily who responded to my questions accurately and efficiently and communicated with me back and forth (via text) until everything was set up for our next day appointment. Her commitment to customer service was certainly apparent with her communication with me. Simply excellent! The installation of our water heater was done after 6:00 p.m. the following day which wasn't a problem for us . . . especially since James was still willing to work into the evening. His work was complete and speedy. He promised hot water in an hour and we did have hot water in an hour. He left our basement, steps, and outside area free from debris. He cleaned up after himself and left everything neat and tidy. It was as if he hadn't even been in our home. My wife and I cannot say enough good things about Cregger Plumbing. Needed to replace a bathroom sink unit that had started leaking. I also had some issues with some bad drain connections. Jeff the plumber who came out was exceptional. It was the first beautiful Sunday after a year of COVID. After spending the day out we come home to a clogged toilet. First call I made was to Cregger. Danny was fast, efficient and super professional. Highly recommend. Thank you again!update: We recently moved out of Ferndale and had issues at our new house right away. First, we couldn't get the shower handles off in a bathroom. Call Cregger, who not only replaced them, but re-caulked the tub because the plumber said it looked like we had our hands full and wanted to help out where he could. He also provided many professional recommendations for various projects around the house. Can't thank Cregger enough for their professionalism and service.Most recently, the sewer line backed up. The main stack on the backside of the house (kitchen sink, dish washer, and master bathroom) was clogged and if someone was showering you couldn't do anything else without water coming up the drain in the basement. Who am I gonna call? - Cregger. Matt shows up the next morning, right on time, and within 15 minutes was able to unclog the line. However, his camera shows major deterioration to the cast iron pipe as well as sections that have collapsed! Don't worry he says. He walks me through everything, details it out and repeats anything I dont understand. Gives me three different estimates based on potential issues and how much they would need to replace. He makes the suggestion to talk to my insurance company and call back when I feel comfortable. Once I get that all together I schedule service and who shows up, Matt - the same plumber from before. He and another guy get to work and boy, it was a job. I poke my head in every once in a while out of curiosity (never seen or done this before) and Matt walks me through everything their doing, what their finding with pipe condition, options I have, etc. Long story short - after two days, it is confirmed: never going with another plumber. I really enjoyed having Matt and his partners at my house, they were fun to talk to on breaks, and I really appreciated the time he took to show and explain everything to me.Don't think twice -- call Cregger first.

The water heater in my house was not producing hot water, so i searched to find a company that could repair the problem quickly. I chose Cregger based on the good reviews for this company, and I decided to give them a call. It was easy to set an appointment, and I was pleased that a tech could come out the next day. Brady was the tech that was assigned to our work order, and he was great from start to finish. He sent a text when he was enroute, and he arrived within the time-frame that was given at the time of scheduling the appointment. Since there was no code to indicate that there was an issue with the appliance, Brady was able to relight the pilot, but he explained that if that didn't correct the issue, he would come back the next day to repair it. Brady came back and repaired it as he said he would. We we're pleased with the good service provided by Brady. He was fast, he communicated effectively, and he was very professional. From this experience, I will always keep Cregger in my contacts as the service to call first for my heating & plumbing repairs. Thank you!

They identified the issue with my furnace and repaired it, but I felt like I was swindled a bit. When providing the estimate, the technician stated it would take a couple of hours to do the work due to the complexity of the repair. After offering a small discount, the price seemed reasonable considering the cost of the part and the total number of hours he claimed were needed to do the repair. He also said they could do the repair the next day, so I agreed to the price. However, the technician called me in the afternoon the next day to tell me that there was a delay with the part and that he couldn’t do the repair until the following day. A technician arrived the next morning, finished the repair, and was gone in less than an hour. All of the complicated work stated about cutting and taking things apart wasn’t needed. He just had to unscrew some things, replace the faulty part, and clean up.Cregger fixed my furnace, but grossly exaggerated the amount of work needed and, in my opinion, overcharged for the work. They also didn’t keep their promise of a next-day repair. I should have shopped around as I would have saved some money and likely would have gotten my furnace repaired sooner.

Both John and Mike from Cregger came to fix a pump issue that prevented our thermostat from working, they were quick to fix and extremely courteous. Upon conversation, I inquired last minute how soon it would work with their schedules to replace our humidifier, to my surprise they replaced it the same day! Being new to the updated humidifier world, John walked us through on how to maintain it throughout the seasons and how to change out the filters to keep it fresh. Great guys to work with, would recommend them to anyone in the future!

Cregger replaced my Dry Pump at my basement with a Sump Basket and a Submersible pump - Now I can visualize the water level in the sump and monitor the status of the water being drained etc. Excellent workmanship and On Time - totally lived the Service provided

They were fast, efficient, and friendly. We had them out to snake our drain as the basement was backing up. They were able to unclog it within a few minutes. The problem was, it backed up again the next day, and they wanted to charge an additional service fee to come back out. My husband ultimately went to Home Depot and rented a snake for about $65. The Manager heard about this and called to apologize and refunded our original service fee. So there was an issue, but, it was resolved, we will use them again in the future if the need arises (and it will).

Danny recently came to my home in November 2021 and replaced several old gate and gas valves with new ball valves. Danny is just another example of what I've always experienced with Cregger employees: efficient, qualified, pleasant to deal with, and always have my best interest in mind. I highly recommend Cregger for any plumbing issue regardless of the scope or complexity of the work.I’ve been doing business with Cregger for approximately 18 years and have never been disappointed. They do excellent work and are always professional in the way they operate.Cregger has performed many individual projects, both large and small, for me. Most recently they broke apart the relevant portions of my concrete basement floor and replaced much of the original cast iron sewer pipe, which had decayed through the years, with PVC pipe. After nearly 4 weeks of careful and methodical research on chimney liners for appliance-venting chimneys, I made the right decision to hire Kal from Cregger for this time-sensitive job. I interviewed multiple companies and then I found out that Cregger handles chimney liners! They went the extra mile from my first call to provide a same-day, in person diagnosis and estimate by Kal. I had to replace the sump pump discharge. Got 3 estimates, they were the most affordable. The arrived on time. They made sure they knew were all the Miss Dig flags were. When they dug, they made sure they didn't damage the sprinkler system wiring. They repaired the sprinkler system pipes. That was a pleasant surprise!! We are going to need more services this year, they are going to be tapped again!!

The office is a nightmare. To install a toilet and run water lines they wanted 750 to 895. Collin is scared to do any work that involves using his brain and wants to procrastinate any type of job if it's the least bit challenging. I fired this company so quick after they rescheduled twice and never showed up today. Unbelievable! Unreliable and way overpriced.

The service I needed was to repair a botched water heater installation. The initial response from Cregger was fantastic! They sent someone to my home the same day. Services only to be delayed because of the rain. Immediately when they arrived the problem created by a previous contractor from a different company was accessed and a solution was planned out. The workers were fast but efficient and the quality of the work was top notch and everything was brought up to code. They took a dangerous situation of carbon monoxide seeping into my house and fixed it. Made my home once again safe for me and my family. Not only would I recommend this company, but I will use them for any future needs.

Cregger performed the major indoor plumbing job of replacing a stack pipe from my second floor bathroom to the basement, as well as replacing two toilets. I greatly appreciate that Cregger accomplished this feat without causing any damage to the expensive moldings in my ceiling and with minimal invasion of my walls. The plumbers at Cregger were always on time and very responsive to my concerns, which included additional visits. I have a third bathroom in which another plumber installed a stack pipe, and that company did so much damage that the bathroom is still not usable. I would definitely recommend Cregger Plumbing; a good plumbing company is not easy to find.

We had a new toilet installed, replacing & removing the existing one. the installer, James Liberty and his assistant were very professional, friendly and technically proficient! The installation was a bit difficult, but completed very well and looks & works Great! the room was cleaned up and the old equipment removed! They also provided some opinion on another potential water/plumbing concern that we had. The cost was not inexpensive, but it was a very high quality execution of the work contracted.

The plumber called and asked if he could come over earlier. Which was quite convenient and he was right over. He tested the water heater and found it needed to be replaced. The job was done quickly and efficiently. He cleaned up after himself and I felt that I got a good value.

Had Cregger out as a second opinion check on another vendor who quoted an absolutely outrageous amount for incredibly invasive work that would require the re-finishing of our residence. Not only did Cregger discover the actual problem, which turned out to be quite trivial, they were able to perform the work quickly and at a fraction of the cost. So, so glad I reached out to Cregger, and really wish I had years ago!

Update 12/16/22:I wish I could give a second amazing review but can only add to this existing one-Not long after Creggers replaced a sewer pipe under my foundation from the first review, this pipe actually started backing up and water wasn't flowing as should. I called to have someone come out and after seeing it, it was explained that there wasn't much that could be done other than snaking freqeuntly. While I wasn't satisfied with this answer for work they performed and I was truly concerned, I called very panicked and asked to speak to an owner or manager because I didn't know what to do at this point.Greg came out to speak with me and was extremely patient and empathetic toward my concern as a homeowner with a non-functioning sewer line. He heard my concern and frustration and didn't make any excuses. He agreed there was a problem which needed to be corrected and because they had worked on this line before, he took ownership and said that they would resolve this at no additional cost to myself. They have spent numerous days at my house to break the cement and excavate the pipe and replace it. The root cause was no cause of their own but due to how the lines in the house were initially set. In order to correct things, they needed redo a section of pipe which had nothing to do with our project, but was needed to get the right result. The guys were able to accomplish this over the course of working numerous days, and I will mention again how important it is to me that these costs were not passed on to me. Unbelievable. I couldn't be more grateful for how this situation was handled. To have a representative of that company be empathetic toward me was truly a change from the usual and for them to accept responsibility and ownership and not make excuses to the homeowner is truly the way all service companies should be. Greg made an appearance each time the crews were at my house to ensure things were handled properly. This was truly the best experience I have ever had with a servicing company. I've used Cregger Plumbing for many years. As a long time customer I can say they have provided us with great service from small jobs like Back flow device testing to major plumbing issues with pipes leaking under my basement floor. Highly recommend.

My house had a clogged toilet and excessive plunging led to a drain backup in the basement. I called first this in the morning and was scheduled an appointment from 12-5. I was very thankful they showed up at noon! Very professional and friendly. Talked my partner and I through everything that would be happening and what was causing the clog (this old house!). Pricing seemed fair for being here over two hours.

This company has high reviews which is why I decided to contact and hire them for service. Unfortunately, like a few other reviews we felt ad though we were (almost) swindled by the service technician that arrived. He stated that our boiler needed to be “cleaned” (for $375) and that a valve needed to replaced (for $625) which would have brought our total to $1,000. After I brought my husband down to discuss it with the technician he did not want to explain the problem in depth to my husband and was short with him. We then decided to pay the service call price of $125 after he “drained and diagnosed” our boiler system and called another highly rated company (National Heating and Cooling) for a second opinion. Not only was the phone call an in depth, 10 minute conversation where the technician took time to answer questions and explain services, but the service call was amazing. The technician said nothing was wrong with the valve needing replacement and he only charged $105 for an in depth cleaning. So, we received better service and saved $900 by getting a second opinion from a reputable company. Be careful with this company. I’m sure some of the technicians might be great, warranting good reviews, but one is a swindler.

This is the third plumbing company we've had work on our house in 10 years. They are so much better than the other big names we've hired in the past. They are fast, and responsive. They do what they say they will do, and they get the job done. They charge a fair price for the excellent service they provide.

What we thought was simply a clogged toilet turned out to be a much more challenging problem in the sewer line and Derek (the owner) came to make sure the problem was resolved. He was extremely professional, thorough, explained what he was doing the entire way through and was clear on the price - offering a discount because of some minor miscommunication with his answering service. These guys were great! We had a stove delivery and the tech couldn't remove the gas fitting. We were without a stove. A time was set however it could be sooner if a cancellation occurred (my choice).The Plummer did come sooner that expected and fixed the problem (toilet stopped up). I recently had my residential sewer line collapse in my backyard. I have sewer insurance, so I used the insurance company to clear the drain and set up what local company in Royal Oak they would use to repair/replace the sewer line. They put it out for bid and the company that we ended up with was Cregger Plumbing.The process for having the sewer line repaired began in April. They finally got to it end of last week. 3 Months later after a 4 to 6 weeks estimate. Our house was miserable while it filled with sewer gas with every flush of a toilet.In review of Cregger after they are now done, I would give the office a huge FAIL for lack of communication and lack of care for our concerns. It was only after I called the insurance company to ask for a different Plumbing company to do the job that I suddenly began to hear back from anyone.As for the crew that came out to do the actual job, They would get 5 stars all day long from me! Dave, Jerrett (Rick?), and Mark(?) took on a very difficult dig with as minimal damage to my yard as possible, communicated with me very well, and I felt like they truly cared about getting my sewer line back in service as quickly and professionally as possible!

I had arranged this over a month prior.July 18 2023 Cregger Plumbing, Heating & Cooling was called. Time was of essence due to time off work to get this done. Reviews were positive, Family owned 3rd generation. This is what I look for.This company was Professional, courteous, and respectful of my home. Job was done the following week in one day. The basement floors were cleaned with no sign they were even there. My invoice was HALF the cost of the other company. Will use them again with no hesitation. Nice clean water now. Thank you for going out of your way for me. I am so happy with the work you did.

Update after original review below: once we got the attention of management via Google review, the problem was fixed quickly. I'm rating them 4 instead of 5 stars because I feel that I shouldn't have had to write a public review in order to get the managements attention. I hope they can improve that aspect of their customer service.Worst company ever. Messed up plumbing at our property causing damage and cost to us. When we worked out an agreement with them to partially cover cost of repairs, they disappeared on us. Have attempted to contact the manager Emily multiple times but she is always busy and doesn't return phone calls or emails. Giving them one last chance for their operations manager to return our call, schedule the work as discussed, and let us move on with our life. This has been going on for over a month now with very little response from them. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

This is the second time in the last several years, I’ve used this business and both times impressed with their professionalism, on-time, friendliness, and knowledge of needed solutions. Andrew that did the job with colleague were both great! I appreciate how Andrew was knowledgeable of his profession and products offered. I will only use this business for plumbing issues.

Brady and Nick were very nice and professional. They took care of the leak/clog quickly and cleaned up afterwards. They were also very nice to my pets which isn't required, but is appreciated.

Brandon arrived promptly, worked diligently, and made sure I understood my options and what was being done to resolve my issue. He was able to take care of me same-day for a reasonable price and he was very careful not to leave a mess behind. The whole process was made easy for me and I'll be calling Cregger again in the future as needed.

I called and within a few hours, a technician arrived. James was excellent. He quickly identified the source of my plumbing issue, showed me the malfunction, and explained it all in terms that I could understand. Given that I recently purchased my home, he offered to check out my other bathrooms as well. I shared a few pain points (rocking toilets and one with a weak flush) and Cregger was able to accommodate having those fixed during this visit as well. I have read many great reviews about Cregger and can say that they did not disappoint! I’m so relieved to have found a company I can trust to handle any plumbing, heating & cooling needs.

I was so worried about the water backing up ony basement I spent 3 days sucking up the water after a heavy rainstorm. I have been here since 1995 and never had this happen. I remember that I had taken out a policy with sewage and water lines so I called them and they got me cregger plumbing and they sent me a plumber named Nick. He was very professional and right on time . He snake it and got me up and running hoping this solved my water backup problem .

1 star for your driver who almost hit me, while merging at the last moment, on the entry ramp. If y'all want to hire reckless drivers, might be a good idea to not advertise your company name all over your vans.

Furnace would shutoff after a minute or two. Scott, came out and diagnosed the issue and repaired it. Very friendly and professional.

2nd review, completely different repair and Colin the same Serviceman that came out previously showed up on time, ready to get to work. He repaired my outside leaking faucet, fast and with confidence. Previously I had this job quoted and it was much more expensive and I was told mainly because the work needed to be done out of the crawl space it would be costly. Colin did not make a big deal out of working in the crawl space, did the repair flawlessly and even thanked me for using the Business again for this second repair! I highly recommend this company especially with the current employees as my experience has been nothing less than Amazing!

These guys are awesome. I called on Friday for a new water heater. They had an opening on Saturday. They came on time. Worked very quickly. They did a great job. The water heater is great. Couldn't be happier with the service and how quickly they got it done.

I have had Gregger out twice to do work on the house. In both cases they provided service quickly and even accommodated same day service. Both technicians were professional and did what the task required and offered alternative methods of repair and let me decide what was my preference. The pricing is reasonable. They are not the least expensive but certainly not the most. I think they have fair pricing especially when you know you will get a good solution. I recommend this company often because they are honest, reasonable and responsive.

6/29/23 Josh came out to look at a copper gas line that needed to be replaced and brought to code. After one look at the line he said it would be $1000. We asked for a breakdown of the charges to help us understand but he said they don’t do that. He was not friendly or very helpful. I’m currently contacting other companies. I’ve used Cregger plumbing several times and this experience was very disappointing.

The annual inspection of the backflow valve on the boiler at The Christian Community.The appointment was easy to arrange. The work was done efficiently and on schedule. We had been told last year that the valve would probably need work. Events proved that assessment correct, and we had the valve repaired. This was done at well below the estimated price. We are grateful to Cregger for having found a way to do this for us.This year, everything worked perfectly. We are grateful for the work that was done last year, and for the quick and efficient visit this year.

Technician Kal performed the work of replacing a fan motor. He was very knowledgeable and was able to work around many issues. He also showed me the difference of how the bad motor performed compared to the new one. The cost of fan motor replacement was $795. The office was able to value a coupon from Angi's list which further reduced the price by $89. I appreciate the good attitude of the office and great work of the technician. I would recommend Cregger for any HVAC or plumbing job.

I had them recommended by a coworker and am very glad I did. They managed to find a HVAC repair tech for same day evaluation. They had to order the part but he was out promptly the next day to install it.The plumber was younger but equally pleasant to work with and I'm happy with the new copper got water lines. It wasn't cheap but I'm very happy with the work they did.

Service personnel arrived within the scheduled 5-hour time period. Texted me 15-20 minutes prior to arriving. Addressed the issue as I described and checked additional associated piping. Were polite and explained their findings and services performed.

Let me get it right this time. I had the pleasure of being serviced by brothers Carl and Colin. This is the third posting I am making, but I am including them both this time instead of individually. Both of them are very energetic and knowledgeable about their skill sets. Carl not only diagnosed the issue with my water heater, but he also educated me how to light the pilot. Colin as well educated me on plumbing things and got the job done. The communication between them is amazing. While I still have some things to take care of, I can honestly say that I am looking forward to working with them again in the near future. I am just thankful to have found a company that has plumbing, heating and cooling services rather than having to call several different companies. I called Cregger for an estimate on a new central air unit. The 1910 home I purchased did not have air conditioning. They showed up to inspect my current forced air furnace, determined what size of central air unit was needed and provided an estimate. They were very detailed in our proposal and the quote was affordable. On installation day, received a call that they were 30 minutes out and on time. The team was professional and explained what was going to be completed. Derrick Williams knows his craft and installation went as planned. AWESOME work! I called Cregger Plumbing (because of such good reviews) to repair a leaky bathtub faucet as well as sink faucet that did not have proper flow. They came out within 2 days and I am happy with the repairs so far. The service guy did show up unannounced which surprised me because I thought I would get a text when he was on his way but that text didn't show up until 10 minutes after he arrived. My service guy was not very personable but he was fine and got the job done. At the end of the day, that's all that matters.

I have been a loyal Cregger customer ever since I moved to Ferndale in 2018 after receiving an estimate from Water Work for $11,000 for sewer pipe repair, I contacted Cregger and was quoted a little over $2000 for the same job. They excavated and repaired the broken pipe and since then, have continued to do good quality, affordable work at our house. Most recently, James Liberty and Shane Lafontaine worked on our water heater, toilet, and updating our old 2 handle shower. All of the work was done quickly and with good attention to detail. Cregger will definitely be our first call the next time we have a plumbing issue.

James came out to repair a leaking kitchen sink. He was very professional and knowledgeable. He advised me that I had two leaks, one he could fix today and he recommended that I contact Delta for a replacement for the sprayer head because it should still be under warranty. I also asked him about a separate issue that he was not called out for which was snaking my drain in the basement due to backup. He graciously took the time to educate me on my options. I needed an emergency response on a Sunday. They communicated well, gave the price breakdown and explained what might change once they arrived to evaluate the repair. The team in the van texted when they were on their way, exhibited professionalism, kept the area as clean as possible, and fixed my problem as quickly as possible. The plumber that came out to the house (Chris) was very professional. He talked me through what he was testing as he was trying to determine the cause of the blockage. He fixed it and cleaned up after himself and helped me set up the follow up appointment. At the follow up appointment they determined the cause and got our plumbing back to normal. I was very pleased with the service and their professionalism.

Cregger re-plumbed our whole house, installed a water heater, installed a new whole house humidifier and dropped a chimney liner in our chimney. All of the work we’ve had done has been spectacular, we honestly couldn’t be happier and enthusiastically recommend using them.

My issue was not in the scope of their qualifications, because it was more roofing related than HVAC. The tech gave me a referral, and told me exactly what to ask for. He answered all of my questions thoroughly and gave me some good piece of mind that really eased the anxiety of what I have been dealing with. This is my first home purchase, and I plan to stay here for a long time, and it's great to know that Cregger has my back when it comes to the difficult task of heating and cooling a 100 year old house. There are plenty of professionals out there, but what I really needed was good communication, and kindness in helping me solve a difficult problem, and for that they will always be my first go-to for any future HVAC and plumbing needs.

Excellent work. They came in about two weeks ago to give an estimate and it took less than 15 minutes for them to do that. Very efficient. The job was to remove two copper pipe about 24 feet in length and replace them with Pex tubing and also add Heat Tape to avoid freezing during cold weather. Yesterday (6/7/19) Kevin from Cregger Plumbing arrived within the window they provided. He is very professional and completed the job within the promised time frame. Their charges were very reasonable. It is not fun to work in a crawl space which is only 4 feet high and Kevin never complained about anything. Very pleasant person. I will recommend this company to anyone. Thank you.

Had toilet installed. Talked over project with office rep. She was knowledgeable about this type of work. Set up appt. for plumbing technician to come to house. Technician arrived on time. Removed old toilet and was in process of installing new one when damage was discovered in the cracked porcelain on the side of the appliance. I had ordered the toilet via Amazon, and it was damaged in transit. Project was halted until replacement was available four days later. Technician returned (different person this time) and completed installation. Efficient professional. Appliance works perfectly with no problems at all. Payment was made via phone to the office after the technician left. Cregger's always knows what to do. I have never had a single problem with this company in the years I have worked with them. I have worked with various staff persons, and they without exception have all been excellent. Whenever I have an issue, I simply call Cregger's which gives me great peace of mind knowing my problem will soon be solved.

Hired them to replace my thermostat. The old wiring system didn’t have the necessary wires needed to complete the installation but they were able to come back and finish the job. Thank you for the remedy!

06/2022: I called Cregger based on a referral of my good friend and neighbor. I had never heard of them before. I needed emergency services rather than waiting a few days. They kept me informed via phone and text of when they would have their technician available. Everyone I spoke with (front desk to technician) was extremely courteous and forthcoming with information. They showed up when they said they would, and took care of the drain problems we were having. They also provided insight via camera as to what may be causing our issue. I will not hesitate to call them in the future. They are now my go-to for plumbing.08/09/2022: I called Cregger as I found an old cast pipe in my basement leading to a bathroom that had finally given way at the joint. They came out in a day or so, and re-piped it for me with no issues. Cost as expected, and as quoted. Fantastic work!11/07/22: I used Cregger yet again. This time I needed a hot water tank replaced. The quote over the phone was what I expected. They had a same-day slot that opened up, so I took it. A few hours later, I have a working hot-water tank! Great service, and Derrick was fantastic. Very courteous and professional! I can't recommend these guys enough.I think I need to inquire about whether or not they have a rewards program for frequent users..

I am more than impressed with Cregger plumbing. Their quote was about 35% cheaper than a competitor's and yet I could not find any corners cut. They installed new plumbing to a basement shower I was installing, and while they were there I asked them to redo the entire house and replace all of the 1950's galvanized plumbing. They were in and out in one day. They even took the extra effort to install copper in locations where the plumbing was more visible (instead of PEX). It looks great! Chris G. was professional, fast, and a good communicator.

Hot water heater went bad 36 hours before my house was set to go on the market. Cregger was able to come out the same day I called and was on time for the appointment. Danny did an excellent job and was courteous, professional, and kept me informed. He removed the old tank and installed the new one (including code updates) in a couple hours, and left no mess behind. Price was as quoted and comparable to the quotes I received from other heating/cooling companies in the Royal Oak area. I would use Cregger again for any plumbing, heating, or cooling needs.

This was for my annual outdoor drain clean out. Brandon did an excellent job clearing the tree roots, was very courteous, professional. The price is very reasonable. I’ve used Cregger in the past for all of my plumbing needs. This time I needed AC work done and I needed it done immediately… on a Saturday. . Called around a couple of other shops, some weren’t open, some couldn’t fit me in til the next week or two. So I returned to ol’ faithful. Gave Cregger a call and thank God they were able to get a tech, Scott, out to diagnose my AC issues a couple hours later. Scott was extremely polite, knowledgeable and professional. He explained my options which ultimately boiled down to me having to replace my entire A/C unit/system. Just as I was about to despair, figuring I’d have to wait days or weeks to schedule a time to get these guys out here to do the tear out and new install, Scott worked some magic and made it all happen IN THE SAME DAY. 24 hours after my old AC went out, I had a brand new AC unit installed and blowing cold air into my home again! My wife and two young sons definitely appreciated it. The estimate and the price I paid were identical. No surprise charges or anything like that. Scott took the time to show me what he was doing, why it needed to be done, and what parts he needed to do it. Everything was transparent.Will continue to be a faithful customer moving forward. We had three gas leaks in our basement and Cregger had someone out within 10 minutes of me making the phone call. Carl was our technician and he was literally one of the nicest people I've ever met. Matt and his partner came out to take a look at a ceiling leak. The two men were very nice and professional and did not try to take my money. The cause of the leak was not obvious and required some exploratory demo but instead of jumping into doing the demo themselves they offered us alternative options that would save us a significant amount of money off of the total cost to repair. Had Carl Brune come over to take care of some rattling in the furnace after I had sent a video detailing what it had sounded like. After taking care of a different issue upon startup of the furnace, he stayed for another hour checking different things - not because it was still making noise, everything sounded fine, but because the noise he fixed didn't sound like the noise from the video I sent and he wanted to make sure THAT was fixed. Cheerful, thorough, and professional, just an overall great experience.

I called them for an emergency repair last night during heavy rains when our sump pump failed and water began to fill up and not drain. Thank goodness they were able to call an additional technician when they said I’d have to wait till morning as we were manually emptying it at that point. When Kevin arrived. He did a fantastic job. He was able to bring a new sump pump and necessary parts. Installed it perfectly and answered all our questions patiently so we understood rain drains are set up and why some other areas were getting backed up with water. My experience with this company was unmatched and I will not use another service for heating and cooling unless they don’t do the service. My boyfriend and I moved into a older home with a boiler system. We were completely lost on what to do with it as it needed a lot of work. I did some research and found a few places but decided with Cregger. They replaced the boiler, removed the old one, fixed the pipes, checked the radiators, replaced the air valves and replaced the thermostat. They are able to do smart thermostats my house was just too old to handle it. They are affordable and their customer service is completely unmatched!!! Any issues that we have we give them a call and send some one out either same or next day. I can’t stress how much I would go with this company over any other heating and cooling company. Especially if you have a boiler! There warranty is the best!

This is not my first rodeo with Creggar plumbing. What ever needs to be fixed Is done in a fine way the first and only time. I never have the same issue. I have a older home I love the additional feedback too!

New review (1/2020)I have used Cregger several times and have reviewed them previously (see original post below) but felt the need to review again. This morning I discovered that my toilet was leaking from the base. I called Cregger and they had someone out a few hours later to fix the issue! Danny was kind, professional, and helpful. He quickly diagnosed the issue and quoted a fair price. When he began the fix, the leak was more extensive than he anticipated but he still honored the original quote. He explained exactly what was required and quickly fixed the issue. I've also been having some problems with my sink so while he was there I asked Danny to take a look. After looking at the sink he provided an estimate to permanently fix the issue, and also tightened a few connections to help in the near term with the leak (all at no additional charge). Danny was great! As was Cregger, I will continue to use them for my plumbing issues!Original Review (4/2019)Had a slight leak in the water line into my hot water heater. Cregger came out and diagnosed the problem, then sent a quote the next day. I was also having an issue with my toilet, and the tech (Jeff) looked at that while he was there free of charge. The next day I had several questions for Jeff about the quote, and the customer service was great! Cregger had Jeff call me and he spent almost 10 minutes answering all my questions. I never felt rushed and I felt like he truly cared about helping me fix the problem. We had Jeff come out a few days later to do the work and he fixed everything! Even took care of one other small request free of charge, even though it wasn't part of the quote! Great customer service, and Jeff was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Will be using Cregger again for future plumbing issues.

We bought a home in the spring time and after moving in two weeks ago we discovered that the AC unit wouldn’t turn on. We were able to get service in a week after we reached out to Cregger and Kal was our technician. He was fantastic. He noticed that there were two thermostats in our house (we didn’t even know that since it was hiding behind tape in the basement), he rewired it to the correct thermostat, checked that our furnace worked, cleaned the ac unit once it was plugged in, and explained to me that our coils were corroding due to an animal peeing on the system. He went above and beyond, and I’m so grateful for his time. I’ll definitely be a returning customer for Cregger Company.

I’m so thankful to have a new motor installed on my furnace last weekend. The motor wasn’t working on Friday & Carl came first thing Saturday morning and was super knowledgeable about what was needed to get it working. He replaced the motor and made sure all the radiators were working properly. Carl was professional and followed up on Sunday to check the radiators. I would like to say that I have used this company in the past and they have been nothing but professional. However, We had someone at our house about 6 weeks ago to give us an estimate. We were told he would have it within a week. A week goes by, and then another. I decided to call and see what was going on. I was told that they would call the estimator (guy who showed up to see the project) and get back with me; never heard back. This happened on 3 occasions. At this point, I wouldn't even trust these people with our project as I have given them 3 chances to call me back and simply let me know a status.Updated: I did speak with Derek after I posted this and he did apologize. There was a lot of mis-communication internally and my estimate was deleted out of their system. In all honesty, I like this company, they did admit their wrong doing but did in fact make up for it. So I am changing my rating..

I had James at our house today and he was outstanding. Cregger was recommended to me by a friend and they are even better than I expected. After having several plumbers not return my phone calls and one not show up on the day of service after staying home from work for 1/2 a day, Cregger was a breath of fresh air. Early, called before arrival so I could get home from work, listened carefully to our problem and assessed/explained what needed to be done. I was very confident after James finished that he had checked everything to make sure our plumbing was in A1 shape. I would recommend Cregger to anyone. I had a problem with a pipe that broke under my slab foundation for my boiler heat. Danny and Brady came out and were very professional. They kept us informed every step of the way and were very pleasant to deal with and cleaned everything up when they were finished. They came out right away because I did not have heat during this time. I would highly recommend Cregger Plumbing.

What a great local company! Derrick was very knowledgeable, helpful and professional! This was the second time I called them and I appreciate they sent the same technician as the first time. If I hadn’t tried to install my own thermostat I probably wouldn’t have had to call them at all. But YouTube has a way of making you think you can do anything. I’ll definitely choose Cregger for any plumbing or HVAC issues we have in the future!

Excellent and quick communication. Two problems: the workers had to go to the store and shortly thereafter, the water sensor alarm went off in the basement. The workers had hooked up a hose to the old hot water heater to drain it and the hose was not in the drain, but on the floor, with the water draining onto the floor. I put the hose back in the drain and stayed there until they returned. Water on basement floor.Second issue: the old tank was leaking into a pan underneath the tank. After the workers left, I went downstairs and the water in the pan was still there. I guess I should have been down there supervising, but I thought that once they removed the old tank, they would have emptied the pan. I’ll have to figure out how to get this water out, now that the new tank is in top of it again.

FOLLOW-UP ON RECENT EDIT: I guess it says something when a review grabs the attention of an owner. The evening after I posted my edit below, one of the owners of Cregger called and left me a message regarding the issue. I spoke with Derrick the next morning and they were able to squeeze me in that day. A relatively simple fix later, we have heat, in time for a chilly weekend. Carl was awesome, explained the work he did, and then went over the proper function of the unit with me.EDIT FOR RECENT ISSUE: When we last had Cregger out, they looked at our furnace and said it was in good shape and wouldn't need a tune-up for the winter. Of course, we try to turn it on to heat two days ago and it won't run. I called and explained this issue and was told I could get an appointment 10 DAYS from now. Too bad it's going to get too cold to be without a furnace in that time-frame. Not super happy that we're going to have to PAY someone else to take care of an issue that could have been found when I asked about it or at least advise that we DO have it looked over. - 10.19.21_______________________________________________________It was very easy to call and schedule the service we needed. Kal called before the system sent the text that he was on his way and he was spot on with the timing of his arrival - important during a workday! Kal was very pleasant and efficient with his time. I feel like he checked what was needed and did some minor maintenance to get our system running right again. Easy to pay for the service with card and got the receipt in my email right away.

I had someone from Creggers come out to snake my drain. A week after my drain overflowed again. Had another Cregger plumber hydro jet and I was told the drain should be fine for a while. A week later the drain overflowed again. I understand the problem may be deeper, but I wish that would've been identified before I spent over $1000 on services.Update - Someone from Creggers reached out to resolve the issue. Customer service is responsive

Our underground pipe outside that drains our sump pump water was blocked. Tom was able to snake the line and use a camera to pinpoint the exact location of the blockage. Him and Kyle did did a great job hand digging the area and replacing the damaged/blocked pipe. We were happy that we were able to get an appointment quickly and that they could get this repaired in a very reasonable amount of time. The price was fair. Very pleased with this company and will call them again if needed.

As many have stated, Cregger is THE BEST. At every phase of interacting with this company, people are friendly, professional, patient and willing to explain things thoroughly. They are not the most budget-friendly option in the area, but they are the only plumbers I will use because I actually trust them.Even as someone on a budget, I will gladly prioritize spending a little more to insure not only great quality, but a very low stress process that is solved the first time! UPDATE: After the first plumber they sent out--whom they fired the next day!--made a complete mess of my bath plumbing, one of the owners (Derek?) sent out their master plumber. My plumbing is STILL LEAKING INTO MY BASEMENT, NOW IN A DIFFERENT PLACE! I've texted them twice over a month (third time just now) and have received no replies. Be wary of the 4.9 rating, fired plumber jokingly(?) told me most of the reviews were from him. These guys speak a good game, but their skills and professionalism are sorely lacking. I would avoid them like--no, I think I'd choose the plague over this company.Satisfaction guaranteed? What a joke! I had a leaky bath hot water valve. Plumber changed the entire setup, after three trips to plumbing supply store to get the correct parts. I called the following day to have him return because I still had a leaky faucet. Plumber returned to inform me that the part was on order, but he had been laid off. I later called to have another plumber come out and was told another plumber would review my case and get back to me. Three weeks later, no calls, and now the hot control screeches like a banshee, the hot water is discolored, and the shower doesn't work. Thanks, Cregger!

Hired Cregger to install a new stainless steel braided water line to the refrigerator that was being repaired. Dereck was friendly and professional and on time to do the repair. I have used Cregger in the past to install a new furnace, water heater, air conditioner, and repair plumbing. We just bought a new house, only to find out the sewer was backed up due to part of the pipe collapsing. We got multiple quotes in the multiple thousand dollar range until our real estate agent recommended Cregger Plumbing and I am SO glad he did. Their quote came in $4,000 below everyone other company we had out. They were professional, knowledgeable, and everyone I spoke to was extremely helpful. Yesterday was our sewer excavation; the team got to our house around 10 and they were done with everything by 3:30. I’d absolutely recommend Cregger Plumbing and would trust them again!

I realize that this review may be lost in a sea of positive reviews. I have recommended this company to various folks however, after my experience I would recommend folks do additional research.In mid June I reached out to Cregger as I had a leak in my water heater. They promptly sent someone out to look at it. My water heater is not in the most ideal place & he worked with what he could. He fixed something & advised he wasn't sure if it would do the trick but called me to check in - which was amazing.We quickly realized that the fix didn't work & he came back out within the week and found another issue. This was at the end of June. He advised he would call the manufacturer and order a new part under my warranty.I heard from him on July 7th & that was the last I was able to get an update. I have called the office frequently. The receptionist would either advise they would check with the technician and give me a call back same day - which they never do or say they can't rush the manufacturer- which is never the ask. I simply just want some form of communication or update. It is now the beginning of August and I have not heard back from the technician or a receptionist regarding an update. It has been a month and a half. I called again on Wednesday for an update - the receptionist advised that she would call me back SAME DAY after speaking to the technician for an update and you guessed it, I haven't received a single call back. AGAIN.Judging by the reviews of folks who have left less than positive reviews, communication and/ or professionalism is not their strong suit. If you need more than a quick fix it seems as though this is their failure point. I acknowledge they have a ton of business but professionalism and communication is key.

8/10/20 - This is my second time using Cregger and again I am very satisfied. Carl and Scott immediately figured out what needed to be fixed and our AC was working again within 30 minutes of their arrival. They were professional, answered questions, and wore masks and shoe coverings. I always use Cregger for my plumbing needs. They don't try to drain me for extra money, they fix the job and do it right; once they are done, you don't have to call them back for the same job. My furnace hot surface ignitor went bad and I called Cregger for they had really good reviews, were close, and quick for appointment. I am very pleased with service. Price was higher than expected.

I had Creggor plumbing come out 2 weeks ago and asked them to snake my drain to the street because I was selling my home. They charged me $400 to have this done. Keep in mind this was not an emergency visit. I had the drain scoped and the scope would not even go through the roots in the drain. Creggor said this happens with snaking and wnated to charge me again to come out and finish the job I already paid for. Now they are recommending a hydro jet, which should have been a recommendation from the beginning at no discount. Now I am going to have to pay someone else to finish the job that they failed to do. Would have been better off not getting it done at all the way it looked on the scope.

We hired Cregger when our boiler stopped working. After it was determined we'd need replace our boiler they made a small repair to at least ensure we had heat until installation which the other company we called for a quote would not do. After the boiler installation we had trouble getting heat to all of our radiators and Cregger worked tirelessly to locate the source of the problem, found it, and fixed it. We will definitely be using them for our plumbing and boiler needs going forward.

Derek, as promised, almost 2 years ago, I said I would retract my original review and apologize if and when I found the drill that I accused Danny of stealing. Please make sure Danny sees this. Danny, I sincerely apologize, and humbly ask your forgiveness. I pray you weren’t scarred in any way by this incident. I want you to know that I’ve learned and have grown from this. To explain, yesterday, I spotted the drill on a table in my garage. I asked my brother (who had cleaned up the garage for me), where he’d found it, he said it was in the bottom of a bucket of tools. During construction of our main bathroom, my worst fear came true- the half bath (only other bathroom we have) got clogged. Despite our best efforts to unclog the toilet, it didn’t work. Called Cregger and they were able to come out the same day! Brian and his partner were both very kind and explained the whole process. They were able to fix the problem within an hour! Needless to say, we are very thankful that we have a working bathroom again and would 100% recommend their services. Have also used this company for routine maintenance of our main line to monitor root growth and clean out via the camera and blade cutter.

I reported toilet running and repairman replaced fill valve and charged $275. The next month I experienced a phantom flush and a repairman came out to change the seal. I believed that it should have been replaced in the original repair and I asked for someone to call. I wrote a negative review after I got a bill for $125 and no call. I wrote a negative review and got a phone call from Derek who understood and removed the second charge. I really appreciate the hands on approach to this business which I have seen for years.

I call Cregger any time I need a plumber, or have heating/cooling issues. They also installed my whole-house generator. They are always prompt, polite, and professional. I've never been less than delighted with their service.

Shane - the tech who came out - did a fine job. He was polite and seemed knowledgeable. That is the main reason why Cregger gets 3 stars. When I first reached out to Cregger, I was very clear on what I needed: a company with a scope that could assess where my pipe vent was cracked. I was told that I’d be scheduled with a plumber who goes up on roofs (because some of Cregger’s techs don’t go up on roofs). I was surprised when I took Shane to the vent and said that he doesn’t go on roofs without another tech present. I was ready to end the meeting there, but because we spotted him and provided him with a ladder; he went up (again, thank you Shane). The scope was not able to move far down the pipe as the pipe narrowed from 3 inches to 1.5.Kate, the scheduler, said there would be a charge of $125 and that the $125 would be applied to the fee of any future service they do after the assessment. I was a little taken aback when I wrote a check for $350. Live and learn. I know plumbing services are not cheap. But I did learn that Cregger is not the company for me as the communication isn’t clear. 350 dollars later, I am no closer to finding an answer. The company did not meet my expectations or needs.

Cregger did a FANTASTIC job of replacing a 10 foot section of our sewer line which had a break in it. They gave us a reasonable quote, came out and did the work quickly, efficiently, and everything looked great when they were done. I would certainly recommend Cregger for anyone who needs sewer line work done (which at this rate is probably half of SE Michigan).

With the temps getting colder, I realized that I should not postpones getting my boiler fixed. When I called they gave me the next earliest available slot. They sent Kevin F and he showed up on time and he was very professional and super patient with me as he explain what was wrong and how he was planning to fix it. He went above and beyond to make sure then the system was working properly after replacing the back flow valve.

Cregger Plumbing did an amazing job at our home last Sunday. We experienced a sewage backup on Saturday, but Cregger didn’t make it out for the emergency service due a communication error they took responsibility for. James Liberty assessed and QUICKLY repaired our sewer backup issue - ON A SUNDAY 😀, and waived the emergency fee due to the previous night’s issue. WOW!Extremely professional, very knowledgeable, and made sure to educate us every step of the way. This is true customer service!

These guys were awesome. They came out dug up my drain, replaced everything that was broken and it only took a single day. They are very affordable and have great communication with the client and have total transparency. I look forward to working with them to keep my lines clean.

Contacted their 24hr emergency service last night for main and storm drain backup. To have someone out that evening $195...Ouch! After-hours representative told me that it would be between $165 and $225 to complete the drain clean out if had someone showup in the morning. Proceeded with having a service technical for the next morning. The service technician was professional but I feel like I was taken to the cleaners while in a desperate situation. $295 to snake main drain and $165.00 to partially clear the storm drain...$460 later, I'll let you be the judge.

From my first call into Cregger to arrange for an inspection/quote, to the completion of the work, the personal interface was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Super easy to work with especially because I live in a condo in Detroit. My condo has a bunch of restrictions and paperwork and Creeger was super responsive even though it was a little job. They are licensed and insured to work in the City as well. Slightly more expensive than another quote I got but that company never called me back to schedule so save yourself the hassle and just call Creeger.

Hired them initially to fix shower leak, check shower, toilet and things while we were away. Plumber diagnosed a leaking hose in the shower, never checked heads, flow, spray etc... Went to a plumbing supply to pick up a new hose... Installed it, turned it on, saw the heads were leaking and left!We called for the ownership more than once to have them come out and make it right, replace heads, etc. No contacts. Between Christmas and New Years we had a very challenging and extensive plumbing issue that shut down all plumbing service in the house.No toilets, sinks, drains, the house was really not inhabitable. A very responsive team showed up and started working on the project. The problem was identified and it was going to take extensive indoor and outdoor work to correct.We potentially had a two week window to try to remedy this problem which would have been very expensive and incredibly inconvenient, pet involved, new accommodations, etc.The team, under the direction of a very knowledgeable leader returned that day and spent at least six hours accurately identifying and repairing the problem. This team of three worked throughout the afternoon and into the early evening, it was getting dark and rainy and they brought out lights and continued until the job was done. Reminder this was New Years week. The charge was exactly what they had quoted us although I thought it would be more due to the extensive work that had to be done.We have used Cregger on two separate occasions in the past wth same excellent results….quality, quality, quality.Cannot recommend this company high enough. Saved our holidays and house!!

This is the only company I trust. We had three different plumbers come look at our leaky shower, and only Cregger was able to fix the issue within minutes and at a fraction of the cost the other guys quoted! Our shower leak was really bad and we needed someone ASAP, Cregger was the only company around that could make time for us while everyone else was booked out for weeks. I highly recommend them!!!

Subsequent review: I've now had Cregger out a total of 5 or 6 times in the past 4 or 5 months - for all of the issues noted below as well as an issue with my hot water heater. I came home after being away for a few days. While I was gone, we had a wind storm and apparently the pilot light on my hot water heater blew out. When trying to re-light it, I couldn't get it to stay lit. The heater is 15 years old and I was already aware that the thermocouple was about to go so I wasn't surprised. I called Cregger on Wednesday very late in the afternoon and they sent their master plumber, Kevin, out on Thursday. He arrived right on time, and was extremely knowledgeable, professional and personable. He knew exactly what to do and was in and out in under 15 minutes...and I have hot water again...woohoo! And their pricing is very reasonable. They've never over charged me for anything. In fact, they've gone out of their way to offer discounts/coupons whenever possible. I know my water heater is going to need to be replaced very soon due to its age, and I will DEFINITELY be calling Cregger to do the replacement when it's time. I had a leaking kitchen faucet, a wobbly toilet, a leaking laundry tub faucet and my shower faucet was leaking and making a loud whirring sound while the shower was in use. Jeff from Cregger was VERY knowledge about all of the issues and knew just what to do to properly, quickly and professionally repair each one! Everything was done in one visit except for the kitchen faucet, but that was only because American Standard has a lifetime warranty, so Jeff suggested that I contact them for the necessary replacement part to save me some money. He could have just ordered the part himself and charged me for it (which I sadly believe is what most companies would do) but he didn't. How awesome?! I originally chose Cregger because of their high ratings, but was still skeptical because I've never had a truly great experience with plumbers. In retrospect, I can see why their ratings are so high! I will definitely be using them for all of my future plumbing projects and would highly recommend them to anyone who might need a plumber. Small job (needed two outside faucets replaced). Called and got an appt about a week out (not bad at all).James was the plumber that came out, and was EXCELLENT. Great guy, very professional. I had a main sewer backup issue and had Mark Lafontane respond from Cregger Plumbing promptly. He diagnosed the problem and offered options and pricing onsite. The repair required a major dig and was scheduled approximately three weeks out. Due to a cancellation in their scheduling I was pulled ahead by two weeks. Dave, Shane, Mark and Kyle showed up on time, assessed the job and got to work, the project was completed in the exact amount of time quoted and pricing held. Technician arrived on time & was professional. Performed annual maintenance items on boiler system. At start-up, quickly diagnosed & repaired loose wiring causing some zones not to work. Overall, very thorough, competent, and efficient. In the past, have tried other companies for servicing the boiler, with very unreliable results and/or long lead times for technician availability. Over the past seven years, I have exclusively used Cregger Plumbing at both my home and rental properties. Knowledgeable plumbers and staff have consistently provided exemplary service in a timely and efficient manner. From having roots and debris removed from lines, basic plumbing repair and installations to major outdoor work requiring an excavation and repair to a main sewage line, there is no plumbing work I wouldn’t recommend Cregger tackling.

As a first time home owner who was raised in apartments I cannot express my gratitude enough! Our 20yr old ac died Tuesday night , they called me early Wednesday morning , Came out for an estimate Wednesday late morning and installed by Friday. Technician Scott Latessa was phenomenal! Answered all questions, was phenomenal with my dogs(huge bonus). I am so grateful. The office was fantastic with answering the phone and getting back to me timely. Out of the 8 places I called, I only heard back from 3. Crègger was first come, and also had the quickest install date. I called Cregger in the morning regarding an issue with my thermostat and they were able to come by our house the same day. Communication was easy and seamless. The issue ended up being a loose connection which they identified immediately. They were so kind and stayed to make sure the new smart thermostat we had installed was working properly. We have had some issues with a toilet no flushing and gurgling. The clog cleared itself before Andrew, the plumbing tech, reached our home. In lieu of this, Andrew was able to help diagnose what the cause may have been(a possible venting issue), and how we can prevent that moving forward. He also was able to recommend having a separate team come out and cut the roots out of our sewer line, which we will be hiring Cregger to do very soon (we have some shelves that were built in by the previous homeowner over the clean out they need to access so he was unable to do that at this time). Looking forward to using their services again, as their team is knowledgable, helpful, and respectful!

Overpriced. Was quoted $495 to repair gas line leak at 2 places. Technician was not able give material/labor breakdown, nor explain quote — he ended up asking me why I was asking for a breakdown and had a bad “take it or leave it” attitude. Went ahead with work due to urgency and the $125 service fee I would have had to pay anyway.Line still leaked after repair so technician came back a 2nd time to fix.Senior discount was applied incorrectly so had to call office when I found out labor was $385 for what was 60-70 min of work. Can not recommend based on excessive costs and lack of explanation/attitude.

Removed an 80 year old whole-house sewer trap that was disintegrating, and replaced it with a modern sewer line clean-out port. (Whole-house sewer traps were common in this region up until the 1940’s. If you have one of these, sewer line maintenance can be a headache.)The 3 man team was nice to have around and clearly very experienced. Did an excellent job minimizing the size of the hole needed in my basement floor. The project involved hauling a substantial amount of material (dirt, gravel, concrete) through my house - which they did very cleanly and quietly. When they were done, our basement was left cleaner than it was to begin with. They ran a camera through our sewer line, tested our household drains, basement floor drains, and stormwater out-line to verify that everything was in functioning order.I would highly recommend these guys if your house requires any significant plumbing work.

We had the best service with a Cregger. After days without power and the night before our planned vacation, our hot water tank decided to leak at 9 pm on a Friday. We googled emergency plumbers and saw all the great reviews and the reviews were spot on. Another company came out and said that thought it was fixed, but it backed up (into my basement) 20 minutes after they left.I called Cregger and they came out and were so through, and diligent about getting to the root of the problem…it’s totally fixed and I’m thrilled. I have been using Cregger Plumbing for various plumbing jobs over the last 3 years - including installing a new water heater to fixing emergency leaks and pipe issues. EVERY time my issues are fixed great! The desk staff always answers 24-7 and is polite and schedules my apt right away. One time I was driving and needed to call the city for emergency water shut off and the desk staff spent a bunch of time looking up the numbers I needed and what my emergency steps would be. I really appreciated that! Each technician arrives on time and always notifies me when they are 30 min out from arrival time. The technicians are always professional, polite, and explain all of the issues in terms I can understand. I have never had any extra fees or weird charges either (even with my emergency after-hours fixes!). Last month I needed new sink plumbing and James Liberty was wonderful! He has also fixed several other issues with my basement plumbing and always does a phenomenal job. I highly recommend Cregger Plumbing as a trustworthy company that is reasonably priced, attentive to customers, and hires polite + professional technicians! My husband and I recently purchased a home and two weeks after moving in we had our kitchen sink backup. Cregger was able to come out the same day to snake it. However, they discovered our kitchen line had broken and that our basement would need to be ripped up to replace the pipe. They were extremely informative and encouraged us to get additional quotes elsewhere to make sure we were comfortable before moving forward with the repair. Once we were ready they were able to get us in the same week. Dave and his assistant were both very professional, answered all of my questions, and kept me informed throughout the project. We will definitely use Cregger again in the future and highly recommend them.

I liked the fact that emergency (after hours) service was an option when we discovered an issue during the evening. We didn't end up needing that and instead opted for a regular-hours call the next business day, but I was glad that we had emergency service as an option. Technician was professional and explained things.

I had a large project at my home to replace all my galvanized pipes, install a few new fixtures and a partial gas line replacement. I appreciated that the estimate was broken up in easy-to-understand terms and include some “ala carte” options for some of the extras I was looking to add on. The estimator Danny was the actual plumber than came back a few weeks later to complete the job. There were a couple issues along the way, but Danny was able to troubleshoot all of them during the installation including capping a leaky gas line that was not in the scope of work. Everything has been working great and I am very happy with the finished result!

VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND CREGGER!!!!I had a plumber from another company come out and snake my line back in February and in less than two weeks my line was clogged again. Jason & Ron came out and check my line with a camera and recommended using the HydroJet. Kevin came out a few days later and ran the Jetter from my roof all the way out to the street and cleared out the entire line which was full of tree roots. Finally after having issues for almost two months we have no more issues of clogged lines and water backing up.Thorough and friendly service from technicians. Jason, Ron and Kevin were very professional and provided excellent service.

Extremely happy with our experience with Cregger Plumbing. We had a backwater valve installed and when they ran into some unforeseen 'suprises,' Greg personally came on site and brainstormed the best solution. He was very thorough in determining the best approach for our situation, answered all of our questions, and didn't charge anything for the extra time. They were even so proactive to schedule a return appointment after work was done to double-check everything. The quality of the job was great as well. 10/10 would recommend and 10/10 would use them again.

Hot water tank went out completely on a Friday morning, leaking water on the basement floor. My husband found Cregger plumbing through Google. They were able to schedule us in same day....Brandon arrived even earlier than expected which was a plus for us. He told us what was needed and what he would do and he fixed everything!Very knowledgeable... told us the cost upfront ...did Excellent work!We have definitely found a plumbing service we're sticking with...I highly recommend Cregger plumbing!

Derek came over to assess possible boiler damage caused from the recent storms and huge water intrusion. Another company had come out and said I at least needed a gas valve and burner. However after several days they said they couldn’t find the part number for the gas valve and couldn’t get it. That’s when I called Cregger. Derek came over and said the gas valve is universal and is easy to get. He followed up a week later to test to see how much damage the water had done to the 50 year old boiler and it’s controls. The price range was 600+ or 8000 for a new boiler. Derek was happy to report that everything was fine other than a through cleaning of the gas valve and a burner being turner upside down. The cost was $289.00, quite a relief. Derek was very knowledgeable, detailed, honest, caring, and genuinely looked out for best interest of the customer. He gave me a good suggestion when asked about another water intrusion related issue.

II had my sewer replaced from the house into the connection at the street. This is an excellent company. All the gentlemen worked constantly and neatly. There were 4 men and they were courteous, willing to answer any questions I had and cleaned thoroughly. In addition, I would like to thank Taylor if it wasn't for her I may have missed out on Cregger's service.And Monica helped me cheerfully each time I called.A great company.

Cregger revised initial estimate downward slightly after supervisor reviewed situation. The crew dug in yard down to sewer line and threaded new PVC pipe inside old crock to connection with city sewer; they also installed a new cleanout near the house. The next day they dug in road to access tap to city sewer which had to be replaced. With that accomplished they then methodically filled the hole with new sand and took time to tamp down filling repeatedly. The hole was then sealed with cold patch.Throughout the process they kept me informed of their progress and next steps, and answered all my questions. The crew worked steadily throughout both days and stayed to complete the work in a professional manner. I would have preferred that the digging area in the front yard was left closer to its pre-dig appearance, but its not too bad and clearly, they were not there to do landscaping. Overall, they cleaned up after themselves very well. The final price was as estimated, and was in the ball park according to a few other plumbing companies I consulted. The office staff was very prompt, thorough and clear in their communications, and efficiently handled the permit process. In general, Cregger made my experience of a bad situation as good as it could be and I do recommend them for whatever plumbing work is needed.

We had a back up in our basement, called Cregger and they came out the next day to snake the main drain. The tech ( who was very professional ) spent about 15 minutes. Once he saw water flow he pack up, changed me $295 and left. Less than 48 hours later we had the same problem. Called Cregger again and was told there was no warranty and they would charge me another $295 to come back. For that kind of money they should spend a little more time and send the snake all the way from the clean out to the street and also from the clean out into the house. Lesson learned for me, I went to Home Depot and rented a machine for $60 and did it myself. I am adding to this review to say thank you Cregger for reaching out after I wrote my review and offered a full refund. I do appreciate you making it right.

I called and got a fast appointment. Scott was fair and knowledgeable. He explained everything to me and took time to explain what he was doing. He could’ve sold me a new unit, but he repaired my existing unit. I believe the cost was fair.

They came out to camera sewer line and suggested hydrojet. They were out a day later and the sewer line looks brand new.

My house was pending sale and the inspection report came back that the sewage drain was in need of clearing of tree roots and debris. Called Cregger at the recommendation from a friend who recently used them for the same service. They were able to come the same day and had everything completed in about 1 hour. The tech was friendly and explained everything to me.

Our boiler stopped working and Cregger came out the same day to help. This is a very honest company. I could have been up sold at various points in this transaction, but Cregger was honest and straightforward. Used them in the past for some home repairs and will use them again.

I had some sort of leak coming from upstairs toilet…dining room ceiling told the tale.. i attempted to tackle it myself only to get frustrated and called Cregger… they sent someone next day. He was extremely professional, diagnosed the problems.. and luckily I had purchased a toilet just in case we had to replace… as we had to! The issue was far worse than I could have handled myself. So glad I called!!!

I highly recommend Cregger Plumbing! My water heater stopped working, I called them at about 2PM, they came out the same afternoon and had it fixed and running less than 3 hours after I called. Scott and Scott were the technicians on my job and they diagnosed the problem and had it fixed in no time. Very knowledgeable, courteous and efficient. They really did a great job!

Have had the pleasure of giving our business to Cregger on two occasions now. Outside of the great work and timely arrival they're extremely knowledgably and are up front and honest with the entire process. They don't try to push services you don't need and provide a clean environment when everything is all wrapped up. They can handle it all. For example our 1920 toilet which had aging issues was fixed with a unique solution and was handled on the same day they arrived to inspect it. Overall, they are our go to for plumbing issues.

Chris from Cregger was on time, professional and courteous. He completed all the repairs he could, but one part had to be ordered from Delta. He did that for us under Delta's warranty and will come back to install. Very pleased with the service. I have a working laundry sink again!

Brady came to the rescue early last night when my washing machine malfunctioned due to a faulty switch associated with a complicated system involving a pump for the water in the laundry tub and its motor that was burning out. He was reassuring and most professional in his explanation of this situation, and although it couldn’t be resolved due to a lack of parts, he assured me that come Monday, Creggar would be on top of it. I’m grateful for his competence and glad to be a long time customer of Creggar.

They kept me informed of when they would be here, and they advised of any problems and try to find solutions when unexpected items cropped up.

Benjamin and an assistant came by on-time and split up the four things I needed to have addressed. They’re going to have to come back with a tool in order to tighten down my Grohe faucet and install a new faucet for my utility sink in the basement, but I’m not at all surprised or disappointed about that. They were efficient, professional, and definitely knew what they were doing. Great guys. Reasonable pricing. I’m eager to have them back!

He was incredibly professional and not only took the time to explain what he was doing, and why the problem had occurred in the first place, but also pointed out other potential issues he saw and offered advice on some steps I could take. Cregger is the absolute best! Brady was just at my home to clear the kitchen sink drain and he also cleared the bathtub drain which became an issue after I scheduled this appointment. He was happy to do both at the same time for no extra charge. How awesome is that?! He was so helpful, giving me tips for what to do on my own next time (never use Drano!) and he was professional, he clearly enjoys his work and helping people. (And he didn’t mind my sassy senior Chihuahua barking at him for a minute, lol!). He even was able to come earlier than planned, which was wonderful. I expected to have to stay home all day from noon to 5:00 waiting, but he was in and out by 11:30! I hope Brady receives recognition for going above and beyond for me today. Chris from Cregger jetted our sewer line to clear tree roots that were creating frequent blockages. He was then able to see that the roots were coming from the wye where the storm sewer joined the sanitary sewer (it's an old house). This was a huge relief as we thought there was damage to the cast iron pipe that was going to require an expensive repair. We really appreciate Chris' knowledge and expertise to both effectively clear the line and diagnose the real problem. He was thorough, patient, and willing to answer all my many questions. There's more work to be done to remove the roots from the storm sewer, and we will definitely have Cregger do it.

The technician from Cregger was extremely professional, and went above and beyond to complete the requested service plus doing an additional repair he noticed while there. On top of everything else, he even cleaned the area in my basement where sewage was remaining. I paid around $500 for everything, totally worth it.

Cregger came out, gave a reasonable estimate, and they did the job when they said they would. Great communication throughout. Kyle and Brandon were very professional and helpful. At first, I was disappointed with the service we received. But the owner, Derek, promptly followed up and had someone back out within 20 minutes! Our boiler wouldn't start, and Carl with Cregger got us back up! Carl was professional and knowledgeable. Very thankful for how quickly Cregger was able to respond and act because the temperatures are hitting below freezing at night.

Eric and DJ were very professional and did an excellent job. Eric explained all that was involved prior to starting the work. Work was completed quickly and correctly. I will be using Cregger for my plumbing needs i the future.

I hired gregger back in April to replace my boiler with a high efficiency boiler/hot water system. I gave them a $1100 deposit and work started the next week. It is now July 19th. The unit was shut down by CMS energy on Fri for a gas leak coming from inside the unit and from the line going to the dryer which CMS said was from when they moved the dryer. It has not been inspected yet. The office manager - Emily is a monster. There are electrical and possible venting issues that need to be resolved along with scratches on my floors, they disconnected my doorbell and kept my deposit after I paid the installer what he said the price of the job was ... he was not happy that he could not finish the work and that the work he did provide too so many visits. In addition I was promised eligibility for a $500 tax credit. CMS energy did not know of any...I need to get this resolved but i refuse to go through Emily who appointed herself the monster in charge of getting things resolve....But really just wanted to make threatening comments prevent me from speaking and lie to me about emails that she never sent. The one star is for the unit and the guys who install were very nice people.

From our first to our most recent job with Cregger, we have had an extremely positive experience. Their plumbers are always on time, polite, professional, and enthusiastic about their work. They explain what they are doing. And they have never tried to upsell or hustle me.By way of example, we just had them come out for a garbage disposal issue. After about 30 seconds, Jason asked for an extension cord, and identified the issue as a problem with the outlet or switch, not the disposal. It was a two minute call, he identified the issue, and insisted that the call was free of charge. (By comparison, when buying our house three years ago, we hired one of Cregger's competitors for a sewer scope that our inspector was unable to complete. Over the phone they explained that it would be $90 for the call whether they could complete the scope or not. $200 if they were able to complete the sewer scope. They weren't able to because of the age of the sewer line, and they tried to charge $150 because they almost got through! After that particularly dreadful experience we've used Cregger and have not looked back.) In short, with Cregger we have always gotten our money's worth. And we've never felt hustled...which for me goes a long way.Finally, Cregger repaired an issue on our shower that we knew about when we bought the house. It was a bigger project, and we budgeted approximately $2000 for it. The plumber informed us after 20 minutes that it might be a filter issue rather than a pipe issue. If that was the case, it would cost $300 instead of $2000 and take 30 minutes instead of a whole day. Problem solved, ahead of schedule and under budget.Very satisfied.

I have had Cregger at my home a couple of times in recent months to repair and upgrade faucets. They provided great recommendations on brands of hardware to choose and did excellent work on installation and repairs. The technician arrived on time, was friendly and completed work in a timely fashion. And they were very good at explaining the work they were about to perform and what my options were.

Jason is the best, he gives it to you straight and you can really trust him, definitely ask for him! He did a boiler start-up and pipe replacement for me and also took the time to explain it to me because I just moved in and never had a boiler before. This company is great!

We’ve been using Cregger since we moved into our house almost 2 years ago now. After negative experiences with other companies we have found a forever plumbing, heating and cooling company with Cregger. Not only do the techs show up on time, but they text prior to arriving which is great for us because we have two dogs who get crazy with barking. We’ve been lucky enough to have the same tech, Cal for the last few visits and he is truly the best! Cal is very professional, knowledgeable, and gives a detailed explanation of what is needed. He is also friendly and solution focused. It’s nice seeing the same tech two years in a row. Great to see Cregger has some long term employees working there.No one likes spending money on home repairs, but working with Cregger makes it less frustrating due to the great service. They are flexible with appointments and have fair prices as well. I wouldn’t say they’re the cheapest, but the prices are fair and you get what you pay for. The service stands out above the rest. It’s also great that they process payments digitally and send you a detailed receipt in email.

Cregger plumbing has been extremely unprofessional in doing our work.They installed a new hot water heater in our condo on Jan 9th, 2020 and then there were a series of issues with the pilot light going off for which Cregger team charged me for every visit (~$100). They could not diagnose the issue and hence a new heater was installed again on April 8th, 2023 for which they charged me installation fees of ~$700 . The new heater started exhibiting similar issue again. We were told that this is due to the issue of wind blowing back from the chimney area.Considering the amount of money spent so far with Cregger (over $2000), we decided to do all the tests with another plumbing company and it appears that the main issue turned out to be that the gas pressure level was not at desired level and we had to call the Gas company and adjust the regulator from outside (free of cost).As part of new hot water installation, every contractor has to pull a permit and go through inspection. I wonder why Cregger did not do basic tests during new installation ?I tried calling them several times to discuss this issue and they never returned my calls.Avoid this company, they are extremely unprofessional !

Had a blockage from laundry room to kitchen sink. Had 2 guys come out, assess the problem, and snake 50 ft thru my roof to solve problem. Very friendly and helpful, tx guys!! I use you exclusively for my issues.

Install bath tub drain :On May 22, 2021 I had originally called Creggor because the sump pump had stopped working. When Chris and Marie arrive I explained how I troubleshooted the issue and we both ended up resolving the issue. While they were there I had inquired about Installing bath tub drain stopper. They were so nice enough to take the time to do the install. Chris and Marie customer service was excellent and both were pleasant and offered some good tips on additional questions I had. It was a bit pricey however as usual the service was great. I highly recommend them.

James did a great job with our hot water tank replacement. I called in the morning and he was here by 1pm with all of the tools and equipment he needed for the job. He was knowledgeable, professional, and did high quality work. I would definitely use his services again.

Cregger completed underground and rough plumbing for a new shower, repaired a leak in a heating pipe and replaced valves for me. They are a professional, organized company and they were able to accommodate my need for scheduling the job quickly. Will definitely use them again.

There was miscommunication on both ends but when Chris came out, he was very attentive to me showing him what I wanted to have done. Afterwards he made a phone call and explained that the service I was looking was not offered by their company. I will use the company in the future and request Chris.

Charged $125 to come out, got a large quote to replace some pvc and they looked some other issues. They will not apply the $125 service charge fee towards replacing a toilet wax ring because it wasn't written on the service order as one of the jobs I was requesting to have done. They offered to give half of my service fee towards the wax ring replacement but I'm opting to leave this negative review instead.

Cregger's plumber was professional, knowledgeable and diagnosed the problem quickly. He was respectful of our home, leaving it in the clean condition it was when he arrived. We were very pleased with the cost - very fair. And he followed COVID protocols. We couldn't be happier with this team. We heartily recommend Cregger for your plumbing needs.And, getting the service scheduled was just as professional. One call to a very pleasant scheduler got the job done. We also got a call about thirty minutes prior to the plumber's arrival. A nice touch that kept us apprised.

The value for the work done was not equal!!!The tech was very nice and seemed very knowledgeable. He was very helpful in making suggestions.What I didn’t like was the charge of $200 for using my hose to basically just spray out the ac unit to “fix” the issue. If that’s all that was needed I feel like I was wayyyy over charged for the work that was done. I don’t know how to recommend this company again based on the “work” that was done. The good reviews are correct. I woke up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom and heard the water running at a high flow rate downstairs. I went down to the basement to find a pipe connection had come apart, and water was flowing over everything in the closet. I turned the water off for the house and went back to bed. I called Cregger at 7 AM, and the plumber (Ryan, I think) was there by 9 AM. He gave me a couple of options for the repair, and I chose the slightly more expensive one because I didn't want a chance of this ever happening again. He had everything repaired by 10:30 AM, and it looks great (see image). I would definitely hire them again if I have any plumbing needs.

Cregger is both responsive and timely. They do quality work and communicate very well. I have been using them for years now and I would highly recommend them for any and all of your plumbing needs.

We've had Cregger to our 1919 home several times, most recently for a leak. James responded quickly and accurately diagnosed and corrected the issue: a large vertical crack in a cast-iron pipe. He maintained the molding on our wall and replaced a pipe quickly and for the lowest original estimate. We've only experienced professional, quality work from Cregger and will use and recommend them again and again.
