Initial plumber sent out to inspect a leak from my upstairs bathroom was an apprentice or something, assured us it wasn’t the pan under the shower, spent 8 hours tearing up walls and racking up an enormous bill for service only to have to return the next day with a more experienced plumber to tell us it was the pan under the shower which would require a cost pretty similar to just redoing the entire bathroom. Didn’t leave us with a lot of confidence in the assessment so we’re having second and third opinions coming out later this week.
