They took our call at 5pm on a Friday afternoon and were able to squeeze us in the next day. They provided options and were able to find a tech who was experienced with our non-standard water heater and set up. Joe was our tech; he was on time, professional and thorough, answered all my questions. Pricing was fair based on what I could find. Too early to say how reliable the product is as it’s only been a few days, but the service and install were outstanding.

10-22-2020 I highly recommend Smith plumbing and heating, NO high pressure sales gimmicks. No bells no whistles.I had trouble with my home sewer backing up. Had the sewer line camera inspected and discovered tree roots intrusion and had damaged the line. Steve (Tech lead) gave me multiple estimates on the spot that included not only the sewer repair but also, concrete slab replacement as well as an optional tree removal and yard work of which I liked the options to choose from.It was very extensive work from Day 1. Smith plumbing coordinated the necessary permits and Colorado Springs Utilities to prep the work site before excavating my property. Tech Lead Steve promised my home would have running water and a temporary sewer connection on the same day and he kept his promise. Steve and his crew were on sight around 8:00am with all equipment and didnt leave the deep trench till 9:30pm when they finally made the sewer connection with the new material. A small detail, the crew also put a tarp on my yard for the excavated dirt that was dug up, safety taped the work site and placed plywood on the long trench before they left the work site.I want to acknowledge the crews Professionalism and empathy, The plumbers Tunnel Rats: Steve, Arsenio, Heath, Vincent, Excavators: Jesus, Chase and Concrete Crew: Chris, Carl, Tyrone. A pat on the shoulder to all of them and to Smith Plumbing Owners Eva and her husband for maintaining a work ethic standard to their employees. In August we developed problems with our old hot water heater. We called several plumbers in the Colorado Springs area. Some would not schedule an appointment for one to two weeks. Then we called Oak View Mechanical. They put us in touch with their master plumber, Tim, and he said he could look at our problem the same day. Since we have an older house, the replacement evolved into a major project. County codes had changed and our venting no longer met code. We also had to replace our old furnace, as well as the hot water heater. Also, the old electricity was only 110 volts and had to be upgraded to 220. With this change, we decided to also install an air conditioner.

Oak View’s owner (Joe), master plumber (Tim), and master mechanic (Dana), and the owner of the electric company they recommended (Mark, Gaddie Electric) came to our house at the same time to look at the project and discuss it with us. At every step of the way, they consulted with us to insure they were doing what we wanted and promptly answered our questions. They staged the job and coordinated with everyone involved to minimize the inconvenience to us. They did the removal, installation, and rewiring in only two days! They set up the appointment with the county inspectors on a day convenient for us. They were very considerate of us and cleaned up all the debris. Our job was unusual because the house, hot water heater, and furnace were so old. Joe, Tim, Dana, and Mark were very knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. I made a same day appointment to have a whole house filter installed and Walter was the technician they sent out. He was very professional and did research to try and find me the best option for my situation. Great customer service. Will definitely refer Alphalete and use them in the future!

Just had a new Air Conditioner installed with Comfort by Design, and it was a fabulous experience. On the sales side, Scott was very friendly and easy to deal with. He didn't try to sell me a bunch of stuff that I don't need and broke everything down for me exactly as I did need it. After the quote, that was the end of it. No additional charges after the fact, or any of that funny business that I've seen in the past. The installers, Mike and another gent who's name escapes me did a marvelous job! They got everything done very quickly and the result looks marvelous, even with the added challenge of having to route the connectors clear across my house and down to another floor to reach my furnace. Finally, their work passed inspection easily, lending more credence to the superior quality of their work. I could not be happier with the whole experience I received from Comfort by Design and I would recommend them to anyone looking to get any HVAC work done.

Said it would be $90 to come check work for a permit sign off. Wouldn’t cost anything more unless work needed to be done to fix or change anything. When the tech showed up he said it was $90 for the visit + $300 to check the box. After postponing the appointment by more than a week.Had to pay them $90 dollars to waste my time. Any other company would be better.

Gage went above and beyond in helping me figure out the issue with my bathroom fixtures. He made himself available to make sure I got it all done before my house went up for sale. He was very professional and made me believe customer service still exists.

Clint was AMAZING. He diagnosed the problem with the furnace quickly and discovered that the pressure switches were not operating correctly. He tried to clean out lines to the switches and ordered new switches for replacement in case of continued failure. Late Saturday it in fact failed again and Clint responded by going to the shop to see if the ordered switches had arrived but they had not. He removed comparable switches from a training furnace at the shop and replaced my faulty ones to ensure that we had heat for the weekend. Monday came and Scott arrived to replace faulty switches with correct switches. All of the service techs we have dealt with are EXTREMELY COURTEOUS and provide EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE to we the customers. They should all be commended for their OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE !!!,GIVE THEM A RAISE !!!
