Pete and Noah were great! Was having major problems with kitchen sink not draining and water coming up into sink when anyone used kitchen sink or dishwasher in above units. They came out ASAP, rodded pipe and managed to remove clog (thanks to the individual in the building using kitchen sink to do hair…yuck). Kitchen sink is now draining properly and good to go!! Just had Pete and his son come out for an estimate to run a gas line to my laundry closet to hookup a dryer. He was very honest in that the significant cost to convert the dryer from electric to gas was not worth it, and that I should just switch the outlet from 110v to 220v. Other plumbers might have pushed me to into the job, but I really appreciate him being truthful with what’s necessary, especially since I know nothing about plumbing. I’ll definitely keep them in mind for future plumbing needs.

Josh H., the serviceman from John Baethke & Son Plumbing who came out to repair a gas leak in our furnace, was a consummate professional. First, he performed a thorough investigation of the premises, assessing not just the furnace area but the piping throughout the condo, the water heater, etc. (I had mentioned that we are attempting to sell the place). He then presented me with a clear plan with several options and price points, and allowed me to choose the one that fit. The new valves and connections he applied to the leaking pipes appear very sturdy indeed, and he ran a pressure test which confirmed that the pipes no longer leak. Finally, he prepared a detailed report of his work. He answered all my questions and was forthcoming with helpful tips. As represented by Josh H., John Baethke & Son Plumbing does very good quality work and is a contractor I would recommend to anyone.

Jason 1491 and Joe 1071 were excellent technicians. Joe came out to clean a clog in the main sewer line. We found out the outside line was broken. He did an excellent job of explaining all options and sent out a supervisor to get us set up to get it fixed. Jason showed up the next day 8am and explained what he was going to do and what the possible outcomes were. I was informed every step of the way. The greatest part is they quote worst case scenario so our final price was lower. At a time when your stressed they give you ease and honesty. Highly recommended!

Needed a plumber familiar with (and undaunted by) the quirky plumbing surprises an 80+ year old building can present so once again, and of course, I turned to Vanguard Plumbing for their expertise. The owner, Jan, is very knowledgeable and accommodating, quickly getting me on the schedule, and his tech, George, knows his stuff and did excellent work, as usual (he’s repaired/replaced a few things in ‘this old condo’, over the years). With his assistant, Chris, they worked a small miracle replacing a slow, old tub drain, replacing faulty shut off valves (including two, original red-knobbed room shut offs) and recapping an above-floor capped radiator pipe so it’s now below the floor so my new marble flooring will be obstruction-free! I also really like how accommodating they all are with all of my questions. I don’t want to get in their way, but I do appreciate being able to learn a few things about our plumbing system (that’s even more ‘vintage’ than me!).

Joe was fantastic and Goode Plumbing was very responsive. I am buying a house and needed a supplemental inspection of a water booster pump. I placed a request on Angie's List and Goode Plumbing was quick to respond. They evaluated the pump the next day at 9am, very professional, confident I got a good inspection at $60 cost! My only ding is that they're open board so the only time they were able to guarantee was first slot of the day 9am. I called father and sons plumbing due to my kitchen sink backing up with grease, after attempting to rod my kitchen drain the plumber came to the conclusion that my problem was further down the line towards my catch basin and they offered Hydro jetting and took care of mediately of my grease problem I haven’t backed up since, I will call them back for any plumbing needs in the future!
