We had a very serious gas leak from the dryer that was a life threatening situation. Pete and Noah fixed the issue and made everything safe.

This company is absolutely horrible. Around 11 PM on Friday, I noticed that my bathroom sink was heavily leaking water into the wood cabinet below it. I looked for a 24 hour plumber with good reviews and came across this company.

The reviews are wrong.

Upon calling the first time, I was told that due to policy, the company will only speak to the owners of my rental. I contacted my landlord who kindly reached out to the company.

Since it was late at night, an answering service was managing the calls. The answering service told my landlord that they were treating my leak as an emergency, and would dispatch someone immediately. They also told my landlord that the plumber would call me directly.

I waited a half-hour before calling the answering service again myself and asking for a report. I hadn't heard from the plumber and nobody had arrived. The service said they would reach back out to the person dispatched and have them call me with an ETA immediately.

After waiting another 15 minutes I called again, informing them that I never received a called about the ETA. They said, somewhat frustrated, that it's only been 15 minutes and I should wait longer. They also said that, since they are only an answering service, there is nothing else they could do to help me.

I fell asleep around 12:30 and woke up 1:30, still with no ETA and no plumber. My sink was still leaking profusely and I had soaked two towels (multiple leaks made the water difficult to catch in buckets).

I called the company again and a different woman from the answering service picked up. I told her it had been hours and I hadn't been contacted or visited by the plumber. She gave me the same old message: she will contact dispatch and ask them to call me about the ETA, but there was nothing else she could do and she had no other information.

I went to sleep. Woke up at 6 AM. A plumber never arrived and I did not have any missed calls from the company or an associated plumber...and my sink was still heavily leaking.

I called a different company and they arrived immediately.

This is how this company treats emergencies. Don't use them. They are awful.

Great responsiveness! With the recent flood, my water heater gave out. Before anyone was sent I was assured their tech would come properly prepared for the world of Covid protections. Glad for that! Once Gabriel arrived he not only replaced it but also suggested it be elevated to help prevent this from happening again and completed it all in a timely manner. It was such a relief. From the time I made the call to the time Gabriel was done with the job, it was all done within hours. He even took the time to advise me on how to properly maintain it. He was very patient while I wrote his instructions down. Roto Rooter will be my go-to with any other plumbing problems I may have in my future.

We had Jan out to check our sewer line and basement plumbing because of a smell we sometimes get that I was worried might be signs of a larger issue. Jan was incredibly thorough, careful, and deliberate, taking the time to figure out all of the potential sources of the smell in our house which is old and was updated at different points by previous owners. He was very knowledgeable and patient and explained all our different options, and he made sure to explain how everything worked so I would better understand what to look for in the future. Jan is clearly knowledgeable about older Chicago homes, which can present unique problems, and I definitely recommend him.

My gas was shut off during the winter due to a leak in my laundry area. J Sewer and Drain Plaining came within the hour, found the issue and had it repaired shortly after. I highly recommend this company to anyone! Staff was extremely friendly and professional!

I scheduled a repair for a shower head. Since weekends were an additional charge, I took an off day from work and scheduled it for first thing in the morning. When the appointment time came, no call and no show. Very unprofessional and a waste of time. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere.

The plumbers were responsive and did a great job handling a tricky plumbing issue for us. We were worried but they managed to save the day for us. The plumber showed up on time and gave us a fair price.

There's a lack of professionalism and etiquette with this company. They are not communicating with each other effectively within the organization so I spent a lot of time repeating myself. Also the technician that called me to confirm was rude. I decided to go with another company.

I will definitely use them again when I need a plumber. The plumber showed up when promised and did a great job.

Father and son replaced my main water line coming from the city valve (bbox) to the inside main valve which it was about 5.5 feet underground. The city don't cover this so its on your own responsibility and call a plumping company. Paul gave me a good price, they said it was a flat price so they did a trenchless method and did 3 holes 2 outside and 1 inside about 2 ft x 2 ft inside. It took them about 3 days to do the work and about 3.5 weeks to get the permit from the city. They replaced the line with a new 1 in copper k line straight from the b box and replaced my inside valve too. The inside had tile so what they did they backfill all holes the inside with cement but i was responsible for the tile...the outside they did about 4 in with sand to protect the pipes and back fill with the same dirt. Overall i have more pressure since i had 3/4 galvanized pipe very very corroded with several leaks. I had water going inside the house from leaks but i also heard the pipe making loud noises like if someone was using the water usually at night you can hear it clearly so thats how i found out is was a leak and from were. The price was better than other companies. It was my first time contacting them but i would recommend them for similar projects. I was the one who replaced part of my drywall since it had mold from water coming in,they did not do that incase you are worried that they will.

I have reached out multiple times for a follow up on kitchen and bathroom work. After they came out and I paid for a service call (which they claim can be applied to the actual work performed) they stopped returning my calls.

I called Eric and explained my plumbing situation. Within an hour Eric arrived to my home to assess the situation. He was very thorough and explained everything to me step by step. I needed a pipe extension repair and a tub drain repair. Eric was able to repair both for an affordable price. 10 out of 10 I definitely would recommend Eric the plumber
