The tech that came out was more worried if was going to pay and trying to say the reason for my back up was due to the recent rains. After I explained that I would rather him rod it since I have a tree literally over my drain so I can give my tenants peace of mind. He finally did. I also asked him before he started work if he could check out a leaking toilet. Again I didn’t care for the cost just him to do the work. He finished Roding and then said he didn’t have a wax ring. Roto-rooter Your techs are out there trying to get out of their work orders! I’m here throwing money at them and they’re looking to run from it. I’ll be using another service for me and my investment properties.

Rocket Plumbing was affordable, honest, and reliable. They stick by their work and are certainly your best option in the Chicagoland area. The owner, Brian is a great guy and thorough. I purchased a new house and he took the time to check a few items out for me outside of the scope I hired them for just to make sure things looked alright. Would do business with him again.

My spigot outside was not working and I had no clue why. Eric reached into a tight space and added a pipe (the pipes were never connected by the rehabbers) without having to remove the drywall. A lot of other plumbers would have removed the drywall for their own comfort. He was efficient and professional. I would definitely recommend.

Power Plumbing replaced the failed wax ring which caused problems downstairs; they successfully dealt with the bad original installation of the toilet, unclogged the bathroom sink, and replaced parts which caused the toilet to run so often. I smiled as I wrote the check. Highest recommendation.

We've used Loves Plumbing & Sewer a few times (severely clogged toilet, new water heater, new sump/ejector and a leaking pipe above our kitchen) and have been VERY happy! ORIGINAL REVIEW:
I was charged $1,040 to ultimately disconnect/reconnect a sink and faucet installation.

I originally requested to have a garbage disposal installed with the sink re-connection. However, the plumber was unable to successfully connect the garbage disposal wiring from the prior disposal to the new disposal, after multiple attempts. The plumber's competency was a bit questionable for this task.

Additionally, the wall pipe was too high to connect the disposal drain and effectively drain the sink water. However, instead of performing a simple measurement to help determine whether the wall pipe was too high - the plumber attempted for over an hour to try to find a drain configuration that worked.

I understand why the requested garbage disposal installation was not feasible b/c of the wall drain location. However, the fact that APEX needed hours to diagnosis that a garbage disposal installation was not feasible makes me question plumber's honesty or competency.

I understand that there are labor/material costs for a plumbing service.
I am happy to pay for a plumber's labor. However, I am NOT happy to pay (over $1000) for hours and hours of labor for a plumber to 'figure it out' whether the requested job is feasible.

I was very happy with the overall service. The guy(Carlos) they sent was trustworthy and showed enthusiasm to do a good job in the fastest time possible. I needed a new shower installed asap and they got the job done within a week of my initial call. Pablo the owner was very professional and answered my calls as well as texts when I ever needed to reach out during the week the job was done.
