Pete and Noah were great. Came right on time, quickly diagnosed the issue and had all the necessary parts to complete the repair an hour from when they arrived. I will be calling them for all my plumbing needs!

Well the plumber was a good technician. The company charges a fee to come out to diagnose the issue: $89. That was to be credited to the job once determined and priced. I needed a new wax ring on a toilet. Material cost less that $15 and last time I did it the job took one hour. I wanted to hire it this time. I waited a week for them to come. The first quote was $475 (they didn't credit the trip charge). When I reminded them of what we agreed, the new price was $381. Allowing for $25 in materials and 1.3 hours labor (high side of what the plumber estimated and I know from experience) the labor worked out to be $275 per hour. They are a union shop. Understood. But that charge was still too much. Then they gave me a discount price of $361. I offered $325 figuring I had to pay the $89, then get a new plumber for maybe $225 or less. They wouldn't budge. I agreed to get it done. I then called around and got Sullivans Plumbing, Berwyn. They estimated replacing a wax ring at $185 all in and they could come the next day. But, by that time these guys had pulled the toilet (less than 10 minutes, by the way). I just want to say, though the plumber was capable, the company is not one you would deal with for value. Recap: job took less than one hour. Replaced one wax ring and 2 bolts (on the closet collar). Estimated material costs (ring $3.99 at ACE Hardware, bolts $0.60). Price $367.64. Labor rate $362.45/hour.

Vanguard Plumbing did a fantastic job replacing our hose bib and installing an access panel / shut off valve on the inside, as well as replacing a shower cartridge. They were professional, fast, communicative, and did high quality work. Our HOA will definitely be contacting them again for all of our plumbing needs!

Mike and the gang from Rocket Plumbing are the best in the business. I've had them here at my Jefferson Park home for three repairs, including a check valve installation, and, most recently, a sewer line repair. Each time they've done excellent work at a fair price, have been communicative and informative, and have never tried to upsell unnecessary services. As a licensed home inspector here in Chicago, I have high standards for the contractors I work with, and these guys definitely deliver, time and time again. Whenever my home inspection clients ask for a plumbing recommendation, I always tell them to call Rocket.

My sink has been clogged and wouldn’t drain for awhile. I called Goode Plumbing and was very satisfied with the professionalism as well as the quick response. I told them it was not an urgent matter and within a matter of an hour or me calling a technician was here. John Paul was the name of the technician, John was professional as well as super informative. I ended up having to have something else done. John didn’t take it upon himself to just fix it and bill me for it. He brought it to me and asked how i wanted to move forward! I ended up having all the work competed and fixed within 2 hrs of making the call. I highly recommend this company and if you get John Paul, it’s an added bonus!

My business has worked with Edwin for the past year and we’ve had an excellent experience with him. He installed and has done the testing for a back flow valve for our commercial dishwasher, cleans the grease trap, has fixed leaky toilets with automatic flushers and fixed faucets. I've used VanDerBosch for mid level emergencies - Dead water heater; backed up dishwasher; broken faucet. Each time they were extremely professional, communicative, and a pleasure to have in the house - from their friendliness all the way to the shoe booties that they where, and cleaning up after themselves.

Their rates are competitive, with a slight modifier for the piece of mind and professionalism that I spoke about. That's why I keep going back to them over trying to nickel and dime on a plumbing service that may save me a few dollars but leave me disappointed and soaked.

Clearing a clogged, slow-draining bathtub is over $340. No other work but clearing the clog. No joke.The dispatcher would not commit to a price estimate or even range of price when scheduling, only to say that the rates are fair and the plumber who visits to inspect would give an estimate on arrival, and their inspection fee would be waived if work was performed. Definitely not fair pricing for a few minutes of maintenance. I should have picked up on the disingenuous tactic of the dispatcher to refuse to disclose any pricing estimates. Greed.

Called for an emergency weekend appointment at 9pm Saturday. Said someone would come out. 2 hours after I called I had not heard anything. I called the office abd Person assured us someone would be out and would call us soon. At midnight I assumed no one was coming and went to bed. No call, no show all weekend when I have sewage flooding my house. Totally unacceptable as a business.
