Pete came by to consult about a drainage issue with our sink. He knew what the problem was right away and helped communicate the issue to our landlord. I would reach out to Rescue Plumbing and Pete in the future for any plumbing issues.

I can't bring to express how happy and pleased I've been with Rescue Plumbing! I had basement flooding that 5, yes 5 other plumbers could not figure out. I ended up needing major inside and outside plumbing work done to fix the issues. I worked with Pete and Noah and throughout this process and they were quick, accurate, professional. They have done the job and done it right and I finally don't have to worry every time it rains if my basement will flood or not. I know it will not flood now and I'm thrilled.

We had Roto Rooter install a a new faucet, because the 3-day-old faucet was not to my wife’s liking. That said, the initial on-site quote was $700 (or $710) because the food processor had to be detached from the sink, but when I told the plumber that a different plumber had installed the existing faucet a few days ago without removing it the price went down to $450. The installation of the new faucet went fine otherwise and the plumber was friendly, but the lack of transparency in pricing left much to be desired. Setting aside that $450 is a lot for 15 minutes of work, the it is hard to erase the bitter taste from my mouth — had I not seen another plumber work without removing the food processor or not mentioned that to Roto Rooter, I would have been charged at least $250 extra for unnecessary work.

We called Vanguard due to a leaky shower head (a problem that another supposedly high quality plumbing company failed to fix). Vanguard got us a quote within hours, came out the next day, and fixed the leak at the price quoted. Highly recommend - we'll call them again.

Seems like this company is hit or miss. I called them to come out and do as assessment of my condo unit prior to renting it out and they were quick, seemingly thorough and it was free! They didn't find any issues in my unit - great. I called them the following week to assess a leak in the ceiling of the retail space below our building's units. I spoke to the owner on Saturday and discussed having someone come out to look at it Monday morning. As of Monday morning, I hadn't heard from anyone so I called around 10am to see what time frame I was looking at. Obviously no one was planned to come out, so they sent someone and they arrived within the hour. As they arrived, I was told by the crew that it would cost $285 for them to set up a ladder and remove 1 ceiling tile to be able to see where the leak is coming from. After that, I basically had to stalk the owner to send us an estimate for any work that would have to be done. We had him look at another item (booster pump) that needed to be removed and capped too, since I had already paid $285 to have someone there. They said the work was too commercial because it was copper pipes and said they would not do the job. Keep in mind their truck, sweatshirts, and website says residential AND commercial - AND FREE ESTIMATES. After hounding them down for a full day, the owner told me they do not want to take on the commercial part of the work. Then, I asked if there was a chance they would cut the drywall to find the source of the leak that they may decide the work is too commercial and refuse to do it. At that point, he suggested I find another plumber who does commercial and residential work to have the work done. So much for my $285 that I have nothing to show for...and no refund offered, obviously.

Long story short: if you have MINOR residential repairs or issues, they might be okay. But if you live in Chicago and it's anything related to a building issue, STEER CLEAR!

Highly recommend! The best experience I’ve had with a plumber. Edwin did an awesome job and worked with me even when the job got more complicated (a common occurrence in my old house) - added plus was mindful in leaving the place clean!

Hugh Jordan was great! We’re under contract on an older home, and out of an abundance of caution wanted to have the sewer main line scoped so we would know if there was anything pressing there. This company was prompt, easy to book, easy to pay for, and very helpful. Jordan was on time, and even took a look at the kitchen line. He made some recommendations for cleaning/hydrojetting should we get the house, and provided a quote after. We would use them if we finalize this home purchase. Thank you!

Chicago Plumbing is a very hands on company and the response time is great! Mike has been working with me and he has been very clear and detailed with the issues that he finds. Definitely a company I would recommend to anyone who is in need of a plumber!

Our water heater leaked into our downstairs neighbor's ceiling Monday night. Tuesday morning, Matt came right over to install the new one. What seemed like an easy project was not! The floor drain was backed up and he rodded it. The water valve was broken, so he had to shut off the water and fix that. He problem solved everything, and got the old tank out and put in the new one. He was tidy, professional, and he was enjoyable to be around since the 1 hour job turned into a 4-5 hour job with all the problems. He offered his dry wall guy for the ceiling of the downstairs neighbors. He then called us that night to make sure we had hot water. We are so happy to have Matt as our plumber. Him and Tim were great!!
