Best New Installation in Chesapeake VA

We had a pinhole leak in one of our pipes located in our crawlspace. I called another company this past Wednesday, diagnosed the issue when they came in on a Thursday, but could not fix it until Monday because they were booked. I called Ali-cor and the lady over the phone gave me an early schedule for today (Friday). Brandon and Michael arrived early, were very professional, and were very efficient addressing the issue, plus they charged for a very reasonable price. I very highly recommend this company.

York control board for heat/AC installation. My old control board burned out. So, I called the Fixture Specialists and got an appointment immediately. The receptionist, Kitty, was super friendly and extremely helpful. She quoted me a fair price over the phone and texted me an appt reminder. Mike and Chris arrived on time. Mike was knowledgeable, proficient, and fast, took pride in his work. He completed the installation and operational test within 20 minutes. My husband isn't an easy man to be impressed by anything or anyone and Mike impressed him with the quality and pride in his work.
So, stop overpaying for your HVAC repairs and give the Fixture Specialists a try. I would most definitely use their service again. Highest recommendation.

I had an emergency first thing this morning! From the answering service ( my emergency was before 7am!), to the service tech Patrick, who called me and arrived a few minutes earlier then promised! I cannot say enough about the quality service from this place. My Tech was Hope. She was informative as to what her limitations were and promptly rescheduled a better time to resolve the issue. Within 10hrs someone at the office called. Thank you RS Andrews.*Update: So the last tech was unable to fix the issue. She assured me she would escalate the problem and get someone to help the next day. Well next day is here. Received a text that new tech Bruce is on his to fix the problem. (Unit is brand new and has not been truly in use till about 15 days ago. So I really shouldn’t be having any issues). I heard nothing from this new tech. After about 3hrs, I drove to the property and found him in his truck, writing whatever it is that was found. No calls, nothing. He proceeded to let me know that he was unable to fix the unit and that the leaking that was reported by the previous tech was not the issue. A leak was previously reported and he ran out of nitrogen and would not be able to fix the problem tonight. So I asked him if this is customary that they don’t carry extra of whatever is needed to fix an issue such as this!? And can he escalate the issue. He then became very defensive/argumentative that he was just told about this job and did not know what he would’ve found until he gets here. He doesn’t know if the issue would be escalated etc… Which makes no sense to me since someone has already been here and he should’ve been informed about whatever their prognosis was. Please do not send this guy(Bruce) back out to complete this job. It’s one thing to not being able to fix a brand new 10k unit and am having to wait more than two days now to get a fix but I don’t need the attitude of an unpleasant disgruntled employee.

A great plumber experience! Jammal L. was incredibly professional and responsive. He quickly and expertly diagnosed the issues with my old toilet and leaking faucet which were negatively impacting my water bills. He provided me a range of service options based on my budget that day which I greatly appreciated. He was friendly and courteous and ensured everything was done to my satisfaction and in a timely manner. Plumbing work can be expensive but this experience left me a happy customer.

Very unprofessional. We scheduled a Saturday appointment for an estimate to replace Quest piping. Plumber was 15 minutes late and did not complete the estimate. Halfway through the walk through he told us we “needed to find someone else” to do the work and walked out without explaining why or apologizing for wasting our time. Other plumbers have had no issues and it looks like we will be choosing another company for this work.

Very unhappy with these guys. Bought their top of the line Lennox system 10 years ago and have had a service/maintenance contract (not always with S&K) every year. My system failed the first week of November so I called them to repair it. It turned out to be the heat exchanger, a part with a 20 year warranty. I felt relieved. They also said I should replace the burners while at it so I followed their advice. After waiting a couple of weeks for the new heat exchanger to arrive, they installed it and the new burners. It cost me over $1200. Unfortunately, I was told that they needed another part before it could be used. Several months of winter passed without the part arriving. We waited in a cold house, anxiously hoping it could be repaired soon. Then, after calling to check on the part for at least the 10th time I was told that it was unavailable and likely never to come in at all... but they would be glad to sell me a new one and put half of what I had already spent into the new system. They promised me they would give me their best price. So, feeling trapped and cold, I invited their salesman to visit and provide estimates. To make a long story a little shorter, their estimate was more than $3K over any of the 3 other estimates I got from reputable HVAC dealers...for similar systems with the same efficiency ratings. So I chose not to buy from them again. When installing the new system (a TRANE), the new company pointed out several major mistakes S&K made when they installed my system and pointed to them as the reason for early failure of the Lennox. I would be happy to share that information with anyone considering a new system. It has been almost two months since talking with them about this but they haven't contacted me at all, not even to check and see if I wanted to buy another system from them...or even to see if we had heat. They should have refunded my money. They should have not tried to rip us off for a new system. And most importantly, they should have never left us in the cold for 31/2 months. Go elsewhere.

Atomic rocks. They run a well oiled machine with great service techs.

One of their drivers tried to run me off the road. I moved into the fast lane on the highway and he sped up to try and cut me off. If their service is similar to how their techs drive, I'd rather use literally anyone else. Tried calling the office. Apparently, they didn't care either.

I called Tony $ Son to replace a faucet in my bathroom. The call was answered immediately. I explained my difficulty and Tony said he could come by THE SAME DAY! It wasn't even an emergency, Tony arrived about an hour or so later. Tony's work was quick and thorough. I would recommend Tony $ Son for plumbing work at a fair - reasonable - price.
