Dylan from R. S. Andrews came out and adjusted dampers (that he previously installed) and helped us solve the imbalance of cooling in our home. I was charged $200 to vacuum water out of the pan plus the $99 service fee. The technician was a nice guy but he didn’t clean up after himself. Could have at least picked up the insulation that fell from the attic and disposed of the overflow switch he removed. He just left it on the floor. He did get the AC running again and I appreciate the quick response, but I’ll probably call a different company in the future.
We have used RS Andrews for several years. They explain everything their doing and are very professional. They installed a new unit for us last year. The one I wanted wasn't in stock so they gave me an upgrade for the same price as the one I picked!
Derrick showed up about 9:45 am explained what he was going to do. Did the maintenance tune up on the unit. Showed me two potential problems. I will take of them myself, easy fixes. I have not regretted having R.S. Andrews install my HVAC unit or their service.

Had the worst experience for a quote. The technician that I had this morning was very nasty and rude. He began to point out all flaws that I was trying to hire for. Technician mentioned having a certain credit score to me, also kept asking me was I certain that I could pay for the service. Technician even went as far as asking me, have I received a quote before? I told him yes and told him the price and he called me a lie. The tech was talking down to me. I am not sure if it was because I was a African American female. I told the technician that my husband and I are not a struggling family that we are aware of prices. Technician began to go back and forth with me to the point I asked him to leave. He mumbled disrespectful things under his breath as he was walking down my stairway to get his papers. By far the rudest thing I have ever encountered. I called the office, the office was very nice and apologetic. The technician remained parked in my front yard taking photos of my home and surroundings. My house have video and audio throughout home. Never been racially profiled to this extent until today.

My wife and I chose RS Andrews because of their availability at short notice and high rating. I wish I could rate them higher, but I can’t. They have been late several times, lied about our service being completed and closed out an unresolved ticket, and the technicians did not correctly install our equipment. A technician had to come out three weeks after the initial installation to repair a refrigerant leak. This is a 3-star establishment at best. Customer service was always excellent, but I can’t say the same for all other aspects of this company. Hopefully, they improve in the future.

I had problems with my new heat pump and after talking with Mr Rob Skinner and the install manager they said they would put in a larger unit at no cost to me they really live up to the guarantee. Today was my scheduled HVAC maintenance. My technician was James.I received a call from RSA notifying me of the technician's impending arrival James arrived within 30 minutes of notification. This was the second time I've had James at my residence. I found James to be very competent. He was aware of the two systems requiring service and informed me of the process he planned to use to complete the maintenance. Being from a navy family, it is was good to have a navy veteran servicing my systems.
James Smick did a very good job in performing our heater maintenance. He was thorough and knowledgeable on the system and completed the job quickly and professionally.
My unit went out last night and, as it is June, most places couldn’t get out until next week. A coworker recommended RS Andrew’s. The technician, Tim, came out this afternoon and had my house cooling down in under an hour. He was very nice and professional. He explained everything that was going on and what needed to be fixed. Will definitely be recommending them to anyone who has HVAC needs.

I called at 5pm on a Saturday when my AC went out. Hope arrived the next day to evaluate the problem, which unfortunately required an entire system replacement, and a Comfort Specialist was scheduled to come quote the replacement within a few hours of the first appointment. Hope was great and very knowledgeable. Great experience so far.

This was my first experience with this company, and it was amazing from start to finish. The person who helped set up the appointment was very polite and professional. My service technician, Derrick, was amazing. He was very professional, and walked me through every step of the process. Very happy I called them. I didn’t have the best experience with a previous company I used and was nervous, but I will definitely be calling RS Andrews for any future needs.

After 5 years I have enough of poor service responsiveness, condescending excuses and insincere corrective promises, I'm done with RS Andrews. Every month I paid my monthly preventative maintenance contract payment, while twice a year become subjected to sorry we can' t make the appointment we scheduled with you...sorry our technician can't seem to find your house...sorry we overbooked we need to schedule another time---all this after I either took the 5 hour time block off from work, left church to make a Sunday appt or cleared my Saturday to be there...never once getting a call from them , but always my call after the appt time passed.Calls to the office were often disreprectful and mean.All I ever asked for was for RS Andrews to provide the service I paid for during the time that they scheduled...I'm done with RS Andrews

I'm giving these guys 5 stars and we didn't even end up using their services, so let me explain.Our old (31 yr old, so yea, really old) heat pump died about a week ago so I called RS Andrews to see if they could have a tech come out and look at it. Mike (or Matt?) came out and talked it over with my wife until I could run back from work. He gave us the reasons why it would be best to replace the unit, obviously the age and parts and what not. And then called his company for me to get a sale rep out to our house to do an estimate. The rep, Aaron, came out later that day and did a full diagnostic of our system, house, whether we would need a bigger system or the same as our old one etc. He even crawled around our crawl space where the downstairs distribution box was (which is no easy feat given where our crawlspace entrance is).He then went in to great detail as to what they, as a company, would offer us and all their guarantees with service, warranties etc. He was very knowledgable and answered all my many questions. I even showed him other estimates I had received that day (I started calling a bunch of AC companies to get estimates) and he never bad mouthed anyone, he simply stated what he knew about HIS company and could only speak to what he knew and not speculate about what other people would do. I appreciated that. I wouldn't say they're the cheapest option, but I don't think they are over charging for what they offer. Costumer service for these guys gets 5 Stars.

On Lowe's site it offers services, I answered what was requested, central AC and heat to put my house with ductwork that doesn't have any. I got a call from RS ANDREWS of tidewater and they were coming July 4 today at 9am for estimate. Today Micheal comes and tells us the company only wants to do quick replacement units and not what I'm asking for. He says the company will be doing big jobs like mine come September. I asked him why did his company waste my time with an appointment. I'll admit I was kinda upset because I could have called another company. Anyway I asked him would he like to come inside take a look around so I could still get an estimate in writing and see options on payment. Well he bluntly said no there's no reason to.He also added the people that make the appointments do not know what RS ANDREWS OF TIDEWATER are doing. (????)Had I taken a half day off from work to meet with RS ANDREWS I would have been steaming mad but today is a paid holiday so I just wasted a part of my morning.If RS ANDREWS wants to make quick money I got nothing against that but don't waste folks time with appointments for estimates you refuse to honor. I was looking for guidance and ways of payment and mostly how much will it cost for my tiny house.First impressions are everything.I'm not saying the company is bad or good , I think they have communication issues. I'm not saying Micheal was rude either I think he came here thinking he was going to replace a unit outside and instead I was asking for Central AC and heat and duct work basically everything with an estimate and he had to tell me RS ANDREWS doesn't do that work now in July.
Scott Gaither was our technician and he did an amazing job trouble shooting our air conditioning system that wasn’t working properly. He quickly diagnosed the problem, replaced the faulty part, and had us back in business in no time. Scott was very friendly and professional. He’ll be our go to technician for any future HVAC needs.

I went through Home Depot to get a new HVAC system and was contacted by R S Andrews who sent out a comfort advisor aka salesperson. The sales appointment went well and I also purchased a new water heater. That's where the good part of this ended.The day of install, I was NOT contacted when they were on their way to my home and I was out walking my dog when I saw the R S Andrews trucks pulling into my condo subdivision. I quickly turned around and met the installers at my home. The install began around 9:30 since they arrived a little earlier than expected. They were here most of the day. As they were ending their work and had the AC up and running, I noticed there were 3 rooms that weren't getting any air. The installers NEVER checked any of my rooms to verify that the air was working. They just removed the old system and installed a new one. I stopped them from leaving so they could fix rooms not getting air.This system install included redoing some of the duct work and replacing the intake registers. The workers left telling me that a piece on the exhaust vent was missing and someone would come back to install. They also tell me that they won't have me sign post install paperwork since it's not complete. No one called me so after 3 days I called them only to find out someone was scheduled for the day I called between 8 and 12. I asked at what point was someone going to let me know that they were scheduled for my home since it was already 11 am. I rescheduled for the next day. However talking to the men who showed up to install, they said they didn't come the day before because the part wasn't in.My sales person contacts me about payment and I tell him the problems I had install day. He says he will contact the install manager and find out what's going on. Well it's 4 days later I have contacted the salesperson, the office and now Home Depot to get help.My ceiling was cracked during the install, they left debris from the attic access in my closet, left dirty finger prints on my door and debris around the wall register that was replaced. I finally talked to their QA person (Heather) and she was not helpful at all. In fact she belittled my complaints and was less than helpful.The quality assurance person I talked to needs to take a customer service class on how to de-escalate issues and not contribute to the customer's frustration. She told me my issues were little and that I needed to be patient since they had put 2 tickets into their system about my issues and they would get to me. I asked her where in her system does it say to contact the customer to let them know their problems are being worked on? Seems like a small but necessary step in their process, you would think.I now have a system that hasn't been balanced properly so some rooms are slightly warmer than others and have better airflow than others. This system is better than the old one but the old system was 15 years old and trying to die, a crack in my bathroom ceiling and left to clean up the mess made by the installers.They have been paid in full and it's been impossible to get anyone to return my calls or acknowledge my issues. I only spoke to someone today by contacting them through HOME DEPOT since no one returned the calls I placed earlier in the week.Customer service seems to be a foreign concept to this company as there has been absolutely ZERO follow up on my install and the issues I have related to this install. We'll see if anyone contacts me on Monday as I requested.... not holding my breath based on past behavior.I asked the salesperson about the bad reviews and he chalked it up to people only expressing frustration for a bad experience. Now, I'm not sure how true that is.

Our AC went out last night and we called late. They got us in the next day. Shane came out and fixed our AC and probably saved our house from burning down in the process. We are very grateful and will all sleep better in our cool house tonight. Thanks, Shane!
Had an appointment at 5pm in which they stated it could be up until 9pm which the technician could come. After 2 phone calls with an RSAndrews rep that indicated the tech would be on his way. I made one last call… no answer. I said the heck with it and went to bed. This morning I woke up to a text from almost 10pm that stated my tech was on the way!!!! I left work quickly to wait at home for 5 hours to wait for no service. This is my second terrible experience with RSAndrews. My first experience in 2020 with my HVAC installation was great and then each visit from then on have beenWAY less than pleasing. Oh then I get a text this morning to review my service!!! LOL 😂
RS Andrews has been working on repairing/replacing our HVAC for over 4 months now. They're never on time, they never respond to phone calls bit always say they emailed a supervisor to call us back but they never do. My husband and I are extremely disappointed with this as our HVAC is not installed properly ro pass inspection on their install and it's been over 2 months since we failed the inspectn with multiple attempts at contact. It's always the same old we'll call you back wasted over 15k on a unit that's not installed properly and wasted 4 months with a company that deserves 0 stars.EDITThe company response with a phone number for Robert goest to burial and life insurance and prior to this review we have talked to quality assurance twice who assured us someone would be out yesterday to fix the issues and no one showed up yesterday despite us calling twice and them assuring us they would.
The tech was very friendly, professional and informative. The office staff were very friendly and kept me informed of the tech’s expected arrival on the scheduled day. Extremely pleased overall with RS Andrews.

Per my request, RS Andrews of Tidewater suppose to order a Bradford White, 50 gallon, electric hot water heater to replace my existing BW tank unit.I paid full cost in advance to get this order done.They incorrectly ordered the wrong brand hot water heater.Had to cancel the order and have been waiting a week for the refund process to take place.Once I get the refund hoping to re-engage RS Andrews of Tidewater to see what it would take to get me the correct BW tank unit with leak sensing and shut off system included.

My A/C wasn’t working so I started calling around to different HVAC companies. The employee I spoke with on the phone was extremely professional and friendly. She was able to give me a quote over the phone for the service call, which ended up being the cheapest of the 6 places I called. She was also able to get me a technician that evening. Many of the other places I called went to an answering service which had to have someone call me back to give me a quote and then weren’t available. I received several updates about the arrival time of my technician and he was very quickly able to diagnose the problem. I’m very happy with my service and would highly recommend RS Andrews.
I have had RS Andrew's out to my house twice in a week to fix my furnace. The first technician was very professional and got the furnace running. Shortly after he left it was down again. Had a different technician out the next day and he said my air filter is too thick and removed it. Furnace ran for a few hours. Called today scheduled for a technician and they don't show. I call the office and they claim I wasn't scheduled and they will be closed for the holidays.. Can't fix a furnace and can't show to an appointment is very disappointing and I will ensure everyone knows.

Our scrubber bulb was out and the techs came to replace it. We have had issues in the past with the bulbs going out fast. The techs took the time to examine the cause and correct the issue. Im very appreciative of their dedication and time!
RS Andrews service technician came out and diagnosed my system as having a faulty thermostat. I replaced the thermostat and still have the same issue. Needless to say it's NOT the Thermostat!
The first attempt I tried to make my appointnent was a disaster. Who ever took my appointment info screwed it up. I told her three times not to call my home phone number to contact us with up dates. I told her the best way to contact Me was my cell phone. We never got the update that the appointment had to be rescheduled. The only way I found out was by calling RSA.On the day of the reached we had a 12 to 5Appointment. We did not receive any up dates. The only way I found out what wasGoing on was calling RSA at 5pm. Which the tech finally at 545. When Mike got hearHe diagnosed the problem in 5 min.An excellent individual an asset to yourCo. He can come back to my house anytime.

Feel ripped off; installed new Carrier HVAC unit in my 2 story house 2 years ago. Have since spent 2k for “repair for leak in attic” & now do not have AC working upstairs w/c will cost another $1500 for 4 hours labor. Valencia was very professional, personable and helpful. I learned a lot about our furnace heating system and I understand what is being repaired.
The technician was knowledgeable and his customer service was on point. On the other hand, the dispatchers were confused and gave inaccurate information. Did not call the number given as point of contact and left messages that were conflicting. Gave three stars because of the technician.
Thought I was getting an AC tune-up. Tech came in and instead pointed out everything wrong with my system, started talking about how I needed everything replaced immediately because winter was around the corner, and then started asking if I had seeked out financing for new systems. I’ll find another business that isn’t interested in making a quick buck off me. If I had known I was getting a sales pitch instead of an AC tune up, I never would have agreed to the $60 house visit. They didn’t even do the tune up because they said if they unhook things they may not start again. Paid for a service I didn’t even receive, and was given information I already knew because I already got a quote from them for a system replacement. Valencia was the tech that came to the house and was incredibly rude with her tone throughout the whole process. When asked if I needed to pay for the services I didn’t receive, she said “if you don’t pay you’ll be blacklisted” not that I think I’ll be calling for service again after this experience anyway. But this is horrendous customer service.

I had a heatpump system install in 2019. It's been giving me problems since. The techs come out say what they think the problem is charge me money & leave however I am still having the same problems. I am frustrated with this. RS Andrews is more concerned about making money than getting things right the first time. Tired & Frustrated.

Michael did exceptional service, He was knowledgeable.He informed me of all my options and he was down to earth and friendly as well. He even was concerned for our safety with having such an old unit, he informed me that we should get carbon monoxide detectors as well. Everytime I call RS Andrew's, they send a tech out quickly. The techs are always knowledgeable and friendly and explain things in a simple way and even help figure out something unrelated that could be causing an underlying issue. I had Matt from Texas as my technician. I had issues with my ac. He was very professional, polite, and understanding. I asked him a million questions about how everything works. He was very patient and answered all my questions. If you have to get service I highly recommend using Matt from Texas.

Depends on your installer ... my installer was in over his head 13 hours and still didn't finish. They sent another installer to clean up his mess. Another 8 hrs the next day.

James arrived late, but in all fairness I understand why. He took time and a detailed look at my system. He's very down to earth and personable. He provided details on improving my system and went above and beyond. I definitely was on the edge of cancelling my contract and services but he definitely changed my mind.

Our service technician Derrick F. was great, he was on time, extremely courteous and respectful of my house. Our issue: we had two rooms that were not receiving air conditioning, so he checked the dampeners on our HVAC system and came to the conclusion they were faulty and needed to be replaced (not receiving electrical current needed to operate). He put the request in to order the replacement parts and now I am waiting for a new date and time to schedule the work. He was able to manually set the system so that the rooms would get some A/C. You have an awesome technician there, don’t let him go. Thanks Derrick!
Mr. James S. entered my house with his mask and shoe covers, which I greatly appreciated. He cleaned my heating system thoroughly, checked all the air vents in each room of my house, did a complimentary check for gas leaks on all of my gas operated items and finished up with an overview of all things done and offered services I might want to consider installing and their prices. Mr. James is an excellent service technician.

I spend $14k on a new HVAC system with RS Andrews. They installed the wrong system, then brought out the right one, but destroyed it in the installation process. The third one was installed completely incorrectly and took several service calls to fix. It ended up taking five months to do what should have been done in one day.They were not responsive at all and would just not return callas and emails. It was only when I threatened to dispute the credit card charges that they became motivated to finally fix the system.Do yourself a favor and use anybody but RS Andrews. They are truly the worst company I have ever dealt with.
In Oct 2022 the heating portion of the heat pump fail to supply heat. A technician was dispatched to troubleshoot the issue. It was decided to replace the main electronic board which was installed the next day. Unfortunately that did not resolve the issue. After further testing the power board needed to be replaced. Due to supply logistics and backlogged parts it took over 3 months before the part was received but once installed, still no heat. The main board was replaced again along with a couple of temperature sensors which finally fix the heating system and it works great.The staff never gave up. We were always notified when the tech was heading over and the were very prompt. The technicians were courteous and informative and got it fixed.

When he was finished, he showed a picture of the inside of the furnace and explained how much better it would be to have it cleaned (it was filthy) and have a filter installed. I saw their local Wavy 10 TV commercial offering a $49 A/C annual inspection. I called, set up the appt, the tech came and he was very professional. He said everything was good except a capacitator was working below its ability. Better to get it replaced than the whole compressor to go bad (it would potentially cost thousands $$). It was under warranty. They came back to replace it and charged me $529 for the labor fee. It took less than 15 minutes to switch the old one out. This is predatory! This is a rip off. The joke is on me! I got tricked by a business as the song by Macklemore says! Stay away and use your local HVAC company. $529 for a few minutes of work!!! I feel like I was told the part was $529 if it wasn't under warranty. This was not explained well.

So, originally the install went good. I guess there was a refrigerant leak the whole time after the install and it took them sending out 3 different techs for one of them to even check for leaks. That 3rd one was definitely competent and knowledgeable. They came out a 4th time to fix what was diagnosed. I was not available as i went to a family member's funeral.. the techs were asking my roommate and brother what's wrong with the system.. why are you asking? you know what's wrong with the system based off the notes from who seems to be the ONLY competent tech there.. after weeks of no AC it's finally running and cooling the house. The only thing that's keeping me from a 1 star review is the one competent tech and that none of this is costing me due to warranty.
Valencia, is a true HVAC technician. She was prompt and prepared. I was greeted with a smile upon answering the door and until she left. She answered all of my questions and even gave future suggestions. I have tried other companies, but this is the one I will continue to call. Company installed 2 systems in my house in September since then the issues have been none stop daily the cooling system didn’t work on either unit now the heat doesn’t work on one unit. The unit with the heating issues has been serviced twice and still does not work. Maybe they will will get it right before it warms up. I would not recommend this company I’ve cumulatively taken out of work more than week to have issues fixed.

Hot water heater leaked all over our garage. Called late in the afternoon and they had someone still come by before 6p to do an estimate. Got me one the list first thing in the morning and told 8-11a. They arrived at 8:05. Had everything replaced in under 2 hours. A bad experience turned very well. They will be my first call in the future.

In my opinion I feel that RS Andrews didn’t want to repair my unit, they wanted to sell me a new unit for over $5000. I didn’t need/want a new unit nor could I afford one. I called another company and they came out to repair my unit and they repaired it for a lot less money $544.00. It’s now working like a charm!Also ,I have a 3 year warranty and a service agreement. worst ever...Unit installed last October-15 visits later they can't figure out what is wrong-now they are claiming we need construction and will not be out until Monday per their manager Jeremy. I've been more than patient with this company and they continue not to follow through with their promise. Greatly dissapointed and still no AC. The Unit has been freezing as of October last year...Over 90 this weekend and they just cancelled my appointment for today. I Requested ac units for the house and they were denied per Vanessa. Zero accountability from this company.

I asked to have someone come and evaluate my unit because it wasn’t working. The gentleman was very nice and very knowledgeable with his information. He immediately went to work trying to figure out the problem and discovered that it would be more efficient to have the unit replaced. He got straight to the point and never tried to persuade me to buy anything I didn’t need. I was very pleased with this employee.

We had AC issues and called them. The initial service was prompt and the technician was very helpful, however, we needed a follow up from the initial visit and that never happened. We had a couple days before it got too warm for no AC and were told we would receive a call to schedule the follow up. After calling them several times over the course of a few days to inquire, we never received that call and went with another company that immediately came out and fixed our problem.

It's about integrity of the quality of service for me. I had my HVAC installed with RS on Tuesday the 21st and it went out the 23rd while I was away at reservist drill and my family was left without heat while while I was gone. In the event of trying to reach out to someone while I was away on duty and no one was available not even the 24/7 technician which is not even 24/7 service according to him. There were also several red flags upon purchase in which I ignored over going with my first option Atlantic shores. First the salesperson locking in the date so you don't go anywhere second the promise of an AC unit my salesperson never gave it for my family and I. Third when the salespeople were here they left so fast and the only time you get somebody to inspect the work is during the install not after it to follow up. I trusted the process because honestly I enjoyed the experience with my salesperson however I was disappointed because I trusted that your company would take careof our home because I did share busy details about my lifestyle which factored into why I chose them. After install I felt like just another number. No thank you.Quality customer service is very important to me as well as follow through.

This is the second time my unit has gone out in the last two months since it was newly installed. The AC has gone out twice during the 95+ degree days this summer.Yesterday they were scheduled to come out between 5-9 PM. At 10PM I gave up and called to reschedule for today. The tech called at 1140 PM last but I missed the call thinking they weren’t going to call until the morning. They did not reschedule me at all and I am not on the schedule regardless of the 10 PM phone call.I’ve been hung up on and am not feeling their honestly when it comes to these guarantees.

They will not return your calls. They installed in correctly the time and had to come back and fix it. Is taking me over 5 weeks to 6 weeks to get an inspection done. The inspection failed and I called left information and no return phone call. Bad customer service

Called around 6 on a 90° afternoon. The misses on the other end of the phone was very helpful and managed to squeeze me in the schedule for the day and was told that I would be contacted 30 min before tech was on the way but it may be as late as 9. Within 30 min I had already been contacted about a tech being on the way. He arrived at my house and was very professional and helpful. He found and addressed the issue quickly. I notice the water was not draining like normal when the AC is running. I called them this morning, and had someone come out same day. MD. V. Williams was the tech. She is very professional but yet very down to earth. She broke it down and gave it to me stright.. everything she told me. She also showed me. That other company Ru......, just been sucking me dry for years. When we went in the attic, I thought I had a oil leak. She explained thats the freeon and it has a major leak not only here but ooutside.i had yearly maintenance plan with this other company Ru...... and this condition didn't just happen in one day. I told Ms. Williams they would add freeon and charge me and tell me they fix the leak. This went on years. Then the coils needed to be replaced 2 years ago. The only way I get the 5 year warranty is I had to stay with them and have the system service plan during that 5 years. After Ms. V. Williams finish with me, I didn't care about that warranty or Ru...... service plan. I will end up getting a new unit and I feel they will do it right.

Technicians were very considerate of the COVID-19 and took precaution to ensure no one felt uncomfortable while working. They very informative of the equipment that was installed and communicated on every level to ensure there were no misunderstanding on how to operate the new unit. The salesman came out placed the order to install a new tankless water heater and replace piping the work was scheduled for Friday 3/11/2022 the Technician arrived on time to do the work but was unable to complete the job because he was informed to just install the tankless water heater not replace the piping. So the Technician just so happens to have some material to start the piping replacement but couldn't finish and the technician said I would comeback to finish Saturday but the company schedule didn't allow the Technician to comeback to finish of course I found this out when I initiated the phone call when the Technician didn't show up around 8AM. The company scheduled a electrician for Monday but that was it.Me and wife spent the whole weekend with no heat hot water or gas and no response from the company today accept the initial call I made this morning to Nancy about the issue.I paid good money to get repairs done and this how tou treat your customers. There's no word to describe how mad and dissatisfied at the customer service the worst I ever encountered SMDH.

My morning started very good Sales Rep Matt Toboiski arrived (hot water issue). I told him that I had replaced the elements and thermostat and everyone I've talked with said there's nothing wrong with your existing water heater it's not leaking and you have replaced parts. It sounds like a weak breaker. So Matt looks at my water heater and says it needs to be replaced. So I believed him nearly 1800.00 later, I have a new heater along with the pre-existing problem. An Electrician was sent to me and long story short it will cost me an additional $700+. Now I still have no hot water, and ahot water heater that I didn't need. Not sure if this seems right to those who will be reading this because it doesn't seem morally right. I live alone and simply placed my trust in the wrong person and the wrong company. I am so hurt and I feel taken advantage of by Matt whom I am sure made a great commission. Hey how about taken that extra 700 from him and make things right.Update: For a total of $2000.00 I now have hot water. An Electrician would have possibly cost me 1/2. This would have resolved my issue and I would be $1000.00 richer and happier. You learn from the mistakes we make this was a tough lesson

Paid a lot for a complete unit two years ago. Now at the beginning of the heat season we he unit fails. My thoughts the unit still under warranty only two years old. Wrong I was told parts are under warranty but not the labor. How is that when RS Andrews installed my entire system too to bottom. Long story short they wanted to charge $1,200 to pinpoint the leak the unit registered 10.8 lbs and should have been reading about 140 lbs. Then I was told that coil had went bad. The part was said to be free but the labor for installation $2,400. The bottom line they wanted $3,600 to fix a problem that was caused by poor craftsmanship on a unit that’s considered still under warranty…. I have two older units that I was considering replacing but I will not be using RS Andrews due to the fact that they do not standby their work and products sold….. Dissatisfied Disable Vet.Update: After my post I did receive a prompt response from the owner expressing his sincere concern and willing to see how we could fix the situation. He provided the info to get I contact with his QA Manager to resolve the issue. I called the QA Manager twice and got no one. On the third call someone answered but stated they could no help me that their supervisor would need to help after I explained the owner told me to call the QA Manager. So the person said they would pass the message and have the manager get back in contact with me. A week passed no call back then I went on the BBB site and filed a complaint. The next day the QA Manager called asking to schedule an appointment to look at the system. I was give an appointment time between 0800-1200 noon. The service called at 0835 on my work phone I missed the call I called them back at 0850 explained I had my personal phone on me and not my work. They stated the tech was on another job and would get to me next. I said ok and then told the operator I would be home the rest of the day just send the tech no need to call I’m here waiting. I put the phone on charger go to order some food and see I got a missed called again at 1015 I call the number it the Officer person again that I previously spoke with and told to just send the tech stating the tech had been sent to another job that I would be next. My patience starting to ware thin at this point. I say ok and reminder her that I’m at home waiting for her tech and will remain here until I get this situation corrected. At 1513 I receive a text of the tech that was coming to service my unit. Tech arrives around 1623 or so. Must admit the tech was very professional and determined to find the problem. He proceeded to trouble shoot and located in the attic a bad joint on the supply line that was leaking. He made a few calls back to the office at first he was told he was to only identify the leak. He and I had a conversation and I and him to call his supervisor. After talking to the supervisor explaining what he had found the supervisor authorized the joint repair.The moral to this post is not to bash RS Andrews because personally I think they’re a great company that just as any other company has some people in the wrong position. Their compassion for the company in which they work for is not in line with company mission statement. If we’re going to put certain people in position to potentially be the face of any part of your company make sure they understand and share your vision because if not they can potentially do more damage than good.I like to personally thank the owner and tech for commitment to great service and I hate the fact that this situation had to be handle in such a manner!

I can't say enough about the young lady technician that came to my home and serviced my Rinnai tankless water system. She was truly a consummate professional, during her visit this morning. She called ahead of time stating, that she was on her way, after arriving on time, she parked her truck, set up her hazard cones, introduced herself as Laura Pannell, then explained to me what she was going to do as far as my servicing and then got right to work, all while being mindful of keeping our home clean. I’d like to personally thank RS Andrews, for sending Laura out to perform a de-scaling of my tankless hot water system and doing a full plumbing inspection. She was very meticulous and thorough in her job. Her customer service was bar none, she ensured to put the needs of the customer first. The best customer service I’ve encountered in quite a while.

My initial encounter with RS Andrews was them installing a new unit. They quoted us less than 4 other companies and did more work. Todays encounter was a preventative maintenance checkup. The actual installation process was very professional. However, the installers who installed the Google Nest thermostat provided very little information on how to operate the thermostat. I experienced 89 degree temperatures IN MY HOME after they installed my new HVAC system. Finally, a technician was able to come out after two days to assist me with adjusting the thermostat and providing instructions.Lastly, the customer service representatives were terrible. I experienced unfulfilled appointments scheduled by customer representatives only to discover that no one was coming.One day I waited all day for an inspector to come that R S Andrews had scheduled, only to find out that they weren’t coming. Turns out they were scheduled to arrive on a day that I wasn’t expecting them. Total confusion and frustration. I ended up having to speak with a supervisor.

Tech put booties on before coming in the house. Nice. He was able to diagnose the issue, which the other tech company was unable to do. Diagnosis wasn't what I wanted to hear, but being somewhat familiar with HVAC I could tell it was them just trying to upsell me to a new unit.
Two words, total incompetence! Not once, but twice two different technicians left a pile of garbage in my driveway! The general lackadaisically attitude of nearly evey RS Andrew employee I've ever encountered in person is alarming to say the least considering how much heating costs nowadays. Can't count on them to actually know what they are doing/ talking about. 0/10 would not recommend

Great service. Everything was taken care of in a timely and efficient manner. The price was a bit much, but the service was indeed worth it.
Very quick response to send someone out to assess replacement of water heater as well as to come out and do swap. However the installers did not lay down sufficient material to prevent water soaking into carpet nor wood in attic as they removed the old heater, nor did they wear shoe coverings as their service guarantee states that they should have. They also gouged the wall and banister as they removed the heater and have been unable to get a response to any messages have sent to company.

First, the salesman quoted me financing that was incorrect and when questioned several times, I never heard back from him after numerous calls. The installation itself went well I assume because it’s working but the follow-up inspection services promised is terrible. After 10 or more calls and missing a couple days from work for no-show appointments, I finally got the city inspection over a month later which was not approved. Now it’s been 6 weeks - still no one else followed up in the issues that were not approved by the city of hampton. I’ve called numerous of times - finally was scheduled - I stayed home all day but still no one showed up. I’ve since called to respond-schedule but no return call. I will be taking this further with headquarters and whoever else necessary. I am so disappointed !!!

My personal thanks to RSA's Client Advisor and their electrical and HVAC crews. This is a job that I contracted for (and tried to appropriately manage) from over 350 miles away and that had to be handled with sensitivity. I selected RSA based mainly on the breadth of their available services and schedule responsiveness. Despite the tight schedule, RSA worked hard to get the owners back into the home, with safe electrical and new HVAC system, before Christmas. That took some long days that the RSA crews put in without complaint (at least to me). Not everything went smoothly (no job does) but RSA got it done at what I believe was a competitive cost.
Special thanks to Emma, Chantelle, Terrence and Devin for a job well done. My HVAC problems have been resolved. Each one of them represented RS Andrews in a professional manner.

Originally scheduled for an appointment on Friday, 3 May 2019 between 8-12 a.m. I received a call at 9:30 a.m. on the day of the appointment to inform me that due to a large volume of homes without AC that no technician was available to perform the scheduled service. We agreed to 7 May 2019 between 8:00 and 8:30 a.m. At 8:35 the technician calls me to tell me that he will be at my home at 9:00 a.m.; that he's late because of his error and My bad. Doesn't appear that professionalism, customer service, or efficiency are part of the RS Andrews mantra. Why do companies now believe that I'm sorry makes everything better....how much longer do they expect that customers will continue to pay to be inconvenienced? We adjust our schedules and get prepared for them to provide the timely, efficient, and effective service that we contracted for. Appears that there is a long history of this company performing services similar to that received by me. When I called the company office, I was informed that they would let the GM know....and on at least three occasions I was asked What is it that you want me to do? The answer is easy.....perform the services when and where they were promised for the price that was agreed to. If you can't do that then you need to get out of the business.Update: 16 days after RS Andrews serviced my system the downstairs compressor locked up due to a short in the wiring. The last folks to remove the service panel---RS Andrews. Now I need a new compressor and handler unit......interesting timing? I think so.
I scheduled for Friday, Oct 7, between 12 and 5. At 445, I called and they couldn't give me a time they would be there. I had somewhere to be at 530, so I rescheduled for Monday, Oct 10, between 5 and 9. I was home at 5. The office called and said they would be out after the call they were on. At 630 they called and confirmed I was home. At 855 I called, and they hadn't arrived yet. No one answered-I got voicemail. At 925 the tech called and said he had a lot of calls that night, so he would be in the way. I told him to forget it and cancelled the service. At 942, I received a text that the tech was on the way. No show. I will NOT use this company again for anything. In addition, this company called me at least 20 times to schedule service. And then when I did schedule, they never showed up!!!!! I am absolutely furious and I assure you, I will spread the word about the poor treatment I received.

Rook was great. Had an inspection done on my HVAC and Furnace (which are 15 years old) and he did a great job, showed very clearly where there was damage and gave me clear options on what I can do as far as fixes/replacement went. He adjusted my drainage lines to fix a bad slope and got my AC functioning again while I look at replacement options.
I would not recommend this company to anybody. I had them come out to take a look at a shower that has had leaking problems on the hot water side. 1st time they showed up was to diagnose the issues which was fine. They recommend fixing all the stems on the shower since the entire system was old. I agreed to that, the 2nd time they came out they attempted to do the work but managed to break the diverter valve of the shower. ( we were left without a shower for 2 weeks before they came back out ) The 3rd time they came out they realized that it couldn’t be fixed and the entire shower valve assembly needed to be replaced. They have yet to come back out and no one will call me back about the issues. Long story short I did the work myself. I have already paid them 200 to start the work. I guess I’ll never see that money back. Sorriest company I’ve ever dealt with. This company should be 2 stars on google. I hired them because of the 4.6 stars on here. I’ll never do that again.
Service tech came out today and told me we needed at least 11k worth repairs to get our ac running. I declined and the tech would send out salesman to give estimate to replace my 8 year old system. Before the salesman arrived I had another company come and they replaced the capacitor and contactor. Total for the repair was $275. Do your homework and call for a 2nd opinion.
The service technician James Smick was very professional and courteous. I watched as he cleaned my furnace, checked for gas leaks, tested wiring on the unit and he checked numerous other things. As you can tell he was very thorough. He assured me everything was running smoothly which put my mind at ease.

The installer was very professional and helpful in my understanding of everything that was good and not so good with my system. I am very pleased with the company overall.
The service repair was quick and easy. The technician was timely and was able to repair the issue in a matter of minutes.Unfortunately, the crew that installed the unit never mentioned that the new model installed just over a year ago needed to have the condensation drain cleaned every 3 months. My old unit didn’t require this periodic maintenance. So a service fee of $260 to learn I should have been doing this maintenance since it was installed.To make this situation worse. I only knew that it needed cleaning because my ceiling collapsed from water damage. I can only assume because the wrong size drain pan was installed by RS Andrews. The water that backed up from the clogged drain port and destroyed my insulation and ceiling instead of collecting in the drain pan.I will say RS Andrews is not the same company they were 15 years ago when I first used them.I would not recommend them for a new install.

We had R.S. Andrews replace our dual zone system for a hefty price a little over a month ago. To say the least, we were extremely surprised to find one of the units not working yesterday. So we called them up since part of their sales spiel was that they would be available whenever we had an issue to fix it right away and was told that they were booked and couldn’t see until noon the next day. That answer was just not acceptable especially given the system cost and it only being a month since it was installed. The operator had us on hold for a while and then transferred us to the operations service manager who was about as rude as one can get. He essentially told us that he would do us a favor, since he was a qualified HVAC tech, by personally coming out to look at our system and “we better have access to the attic” so that he can climb up and take a look. The fact that these people have someone tell me they are doing me a favor by fixing a broken system less than a month old after the amount of money we spent is ridiculous. Luckily a regular service technician showed up in lieu of the rude service manager. The technician stopped by understood the problem and fixed it in just a few minutes. He was super professional and virtuous. I just wish some of that would rub off on this service manager. My other concern is that the company was adamant we go with this carrier system and we have a capacitor blow within the first month. I hope this isn’t an indicator of our experience to come with this system.
My only complaint is that the time I was quoted was earlier than the actual arrival time. its a good thing I didn’t have any other plans

I scheduled an install estimate for a water heater with this company and no one ever showed up for the appointment.Moreover, I am HIGHLY DISGUSTED in their treatment of customers. They are taking over three weeks to rectify an HVAC issue in a household with small children are not responsive to the homeowners. RS Andrews has been out several times and still no viable fix. They are giving the customers the runaround. It is over 95 degrees here and RS Andrews has left a family in a house without an adequate cooling system.I would highly recommend exploring other companies. Not only are they the most expensive but they are also not dependable nor professional.

We had a sales rep come out and look at our system so we could get it replaced and have a mini split put into our basement. 6 days later the technician came out and they replaced the AC unit, the furnace and the thermostat. The technician said he didn't know what the sales rep was thinking for the mini split because the equipment he had wasn't right for that job. When he left after 6 hours the job was not complete and he said someone from the office would call us to finish the installation. It has been a week now and I have called 4 times trying to find our when they will be completing this. No one seems to have an answer and I keep getting we'll call you back. The sales rep did call us 2 days ago and said he would get it straight. I just called again and the lady I spoke with said she would have someone call me back because they don't do mini splits anymore??? So I'm just wondering why they would sell us a product that they supposedly don't do anymore. I feel like I am just getting the runaround and they need to make this situation right.UPDATE:It's been 3 weeks since our job was suppose to be completed. It's been 2 weeks since my original review. We are STILL WAITING to find out when they are going to come back and finish the job. They have received their money, when is this project that should have been done in one day, going to be completed. I'm not asking for anything except that you finish the job you've BEEN PAID FOR.

I ordered to replace both units in my home. Install was in June. My fridge was damaged and I had to call in 2 days later as my AC did not work. I took off work and a tech came the next day. They had forgotten to remove a plate and froze the unit. Had to schedule multiple days for the reinstall. Tried to get the unit inspected and several issues on the company schedule to include forgetting to actually schedule. October I was called about a payment. They came out and realized the other unit was installed incorrectly and would not pass an inspection. Had another install and now they have sent it to collections. They were supposed to offer compensation and repair my fridge. Everyone is saying it isn’t their issue and when I call in they read back all the notes.Beware of this company actually completing the work and living up to what they said they would do. I was asked to contact the person who sold me the units and they no longer work there.

Great job RD! Leak problem appears to be solved after one hour came with lots of cleaning and no fix, Hutton no fix and NJT Services no fix. Only RS Andrew's worked to solve a simple hole in valve. Coolant is very expensive these days so call RS before you get flim flammed by these companies.
As part of our regular RS Andrews maintenance, Chantelle was the technician who performed the service. She arrived as scheduled; she did a thorough inspection to ensure there were no problems and recommended only one new product that she justified with photos she took so that I could see the problem area. She answered all my questions. I'm very pleased that RS Andrews has such a competent and professional technician!

Request for technician Dylan Prokop, he is the man! He helped us and walked us through everything that we needed to know. Was able to break things down comprehensively for us too. Customer service over the phone wasn’t so good.
Our service technician, Valencia, called in advance, was timely, and was thorough as she explained the problem. She then was patient as she instructed us on how to use some of the NEST features. Friendly and professional.

I’ve worked with several HVAC tech’s for myself and clients but Valencia was hands down to most thorough, professional, and informative. I had a later evening appointment and she took the time to properly diagnose what was wrong and gave a clear solution to go forward & she did so with attention to detail and level of care I haven’t seen in the industry.
James was incredibly professional, thorough and efficient. He arrived as scheduled and completed the maintenance in a timely manner. He also provided salient recommendations for our system. Happy to do business with him again.
We had a clog in our condensation lines. They came out and Scott was very professional and took care of everything for us. He looked over the system and made sure that everything was up to par and running like it was supposed to be. Very attention to detail, knowledgeable and very responsive! Highly recommend them!!!

Excellent customer service. I had anew hvac system installed the beginning of January and i was having a problem getting my system to work last night. I called them late last night and they had someone out to my house we i got off today. Found out it was my thermostat that i had supplied when they installed the new hvac unit. They gave me a new thermostat and installed for free. I appreciate the excellent customer service and going above and beyond to take care of problem. They didn't have to but I greatly appreciate it.

Technician arrived during the scheduled block of time and was very courteous and explained what was involved with the HVAC system cleaning. Sent me all the diagnostic information for my records. Wore protective gear while in the house. Highly recommend them.

NOT HAPPY !!!!! At the end of 2019 I purchase a NEW heatpump and also NEW A/C unit. Not rebuild but NEW...I was told SYSTEM should last close to 10 years forward to today March 24 2023 AIR COMPRESSOR IS ALREADY DOWN OVER 2000.00 TO REPAIR THE UNIT..regular maintenance was done..no excuses 🙄 less than four years.

My HP system was purchased and installed by RS Andrews in 2018. I have always had my service agreements with them as well. I’ve always had the same technician - Kalif - and trust his service and suggestions.I have not had problems, but believe if I do, it will be taken care of.
The representative that come out initially was very professional, forthcoming and thorough about our current system and the issues it had. Mr Mulgrew was also very courteous, thorough, professional and informative. Technicians were on time, thorough and professional. I love my new system and I highly recommend RS Andrew's if you're looking for a new HVAC.

Scott was awesome. Came in the first hour of my five hour window, was polite and kind, and fixed the issue quickly (bad capacitor on the outside unit). I asked him about a few other things for the system and he was happy to take a look and teach me how often and what to look at. Very happy with his service!
I enjoy the professionalism of the technicians that come out and do the work because you can tell they know what they're doing. I appreciate the consistent communication knowing within 10 to 15 minutes when the tech will be at the house, this doesn't lock me into the house all day waiting for a tech who doesn't show up till 5:00 p.m. which is common. RS Andrews calls to ensure that we know a tech is on the way and if they say the tech is on the way you can bet the tech will be there. Thank you for the professional install and service of our heating and air conditioning system in our attic.

I previously purchased an HVAC system, which included a complete replacement of all ductwork, thermostat, air handler and heat pump a few years ago, totaling approximately $18K. As part of the calculation for ductwork, the technicians determined that 3 of the 17 registers needed to be deleted, and a second return needed to be added. One of the registers to be removed was in the master bedroom, which left a large room with only one vent when there had been two. After a few years of trying to accept a master bedroom that was too hot in summer and too cold in winter, I asked them to review my ductwork for the house. They determined that my master bedroom was too big for a single register, and I needed a second one. The quote was almost $500. When I informed them that my master bedroom had one register because that’s what they previously determined was good enough, I asked to discuss the quote with management to negotiate why I should be paying them to did what they got wrong. After my conversation with the technician and leaving two messages with the front office, no response. Between this issue and them previously having to re-wire the system several times to get it operating correctly (which that they did for free although not sure how much my power bill suffered in the meantime), I can’t say I would use them again. $18K spent should come with some expectations, and they’ve had trouble meeting those.

Technician arrived on time and was extremely courteous and professional. This is a review of my 5 Dec 2022 service only. My system was installed in April 2019 so it is only 3 1/2 years old. The system has been operational (heating) intermittently for the past week. Technician diagnosed the problem as main board and possibly pressure switch. I requested replacement of both to avoid problems. My issue is the cost!! $700 to replace parts that should be under Warrenty! If these are known issues with the Rheem system, they should stop selling Rheem. I am paying a yearly maintenance to RS Andrews, paid over $10k for the system, and now paying $700 for repairs that should not be needed for a new system. My issue is not with the technician, but with I feel is gouging by the company ,
We were very impressed with her honesty. She came in and found the problem. She showed my husband the cause of the problem and did the repair. She was efficient, knowledgeable, and courteous. She is a great asset to RS Andrews.
Ok, so I got my AC and furnace replaced Monday. The young men who installed it were great. When they were finished and were running diagnostics, they were having a furnace pressure switch issue. All I want is for someone to call me to schedule someone to come out and fix it. It's a Brand new system! I paid for everything already and obviously something is wrong. There is NOTHING worse than PAYING for a brand new 'anything', then calling the company to come back out, just to have NO ONE return your calls. Unsat... Really thought this company would be much more, well, responsive and reliable. still waiting......

Had 2 technicians aide in determining if my unit needed replaced (excess of 20 years on the HVAC). Estimator went over in detail of each option and provided the best recommendation. Install team came 3 days later and took the better of the day to install all components. Cleaned up after themselves and were friendly. Only knock i have is that backed into the overhanging branches in my drive and knocked a few off that were left on my lawn (minor complaint easy to pick up). Overall definitely recommend for quick service. Overall cost may be cheaper elsewhere if you have time to get quotes from multiple places.Overall definitely recommend for quick service. Nearly 5 discussions and 2 months of dealing with them we got the drip pan issue resolved only for it to rear its ugly head again tonight (8/14) after returning from a family vacation. This is frustrating and at this point i am flustered with the continued issue. Will update as this issue plays out but at this time i rescind my recommendation i stated above and advise those looking for service to try other companies.Update 8/25- The issues i noted above seem to have stemmed from the ac manufacturer rather than the company. Looking to speak with management about next steps. Moved the rating to 3 stars based solely on the last 3 technicians that came out (Chris W. mainly). If Chris is a tech you get you are in great hands. He is honest and takes the time to chase all possible avenues rather than looking on the surface (after the second leak he had the whole unit reinstalled)
My unit went out. We were given a window of 12-5 where we waited around for a technician. A guy came out and said for $950 he could fix some things and see if that was the problem and if not diagnose from there and yes there'd be more charges. Then recommended $750 more in preventative stuff. Charged $109 for a possible diagnosis of my problem. Don't waste your time

Chantelle Elliot, the service tech, was professional and courteous. She explained the service in detail . She did have to replace the thermostat after she checked everything else. She was very knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable in the process. It was a delight having her in my home to do the listed repairs. I will give her 5 stars for the service she provided.

Communication about how long it was going to take to get parts was extremely poor. Over a month to complete the repair to the heating system that was non functional in the middle of winter (January/February). Technicians skill was very good. Once the correct part arrived the repair was completed in an hour. Also seemed quite expensive. Roughly $650 for labor. Parts were covered under warranty.

We purchased our new HVAC system from RS Andrews in 2017. In doing so, we added some vents to our den where there were none, and our electricity bill has gone down. We've needed some minor service since we had it installed and each time, the tech that arrived was timely, professional, and explained what they were going to do prior to doing so. I highly recommend these professionals. With their help, I can keep my house at 68 on the hottest days of summer!

Tech did not fix issue. Had to call back reschedule. So far been 2 months of having repeated times a tech has came out. But RS Andrews wants survey after completed not fixing my concerns till I make repeated phone calls
Tech came out on a Sunday afternoon and did a great job of taking care of an issue in 20 minutes that’s going to cost us thousands of dollars in water damage due to a condensation line issue that I feel would have never happened if it had been carefully (note the word ‘carefully’) checked during one of the two yearly checks that are done on the system. This wasn’t a mechanical issue… it was a design problem and a failure to properly monitor any issues that could potentially arise. No longer potentially!👎
An appointment was made the technician never showed up. The next day late in the evening received a text saying the technician was on the way. Did not want the service that day late in the evening. The following day received a text asking how the company do on its services. So here I am explaining this situation. Will not call this company again.

I was scheduled 12-5 on Sat after numerous phone calls to the office after 5 and was told repeatedly someone would call when they were on the way. No one ever called. Finally the woman on the phone finally decided maybe he wasn’t comings at 9.
I chose to go with this company based on the reviews I read, thinking they would be legit and trust worthy. Well, Aug 28 completed paperwork and financing including all terms agreed upon. Aug 29th they were suppose to complete job, yet they failed to do so due to lack of communication between Russell and whomever was schedule to come fix the unit. Our sales order clearly indicated that a drain pan was to be replaced, but it was not showing up on their work order so they didn't do it. Russell was suppose to get back with us, we are now on day 4 and he has yet to call back. I spoke to the manager Jeff on 8/31/23, 1) was not aware of the issue (red flag) and 2) promised to get it rectified by 9/1/23 between 12pm and 5pm. It is now 515pm, no call, no eta email, no response. On top of it, a down payment was made and when I got their invoice. Guess what? No down payment on record, yet I was also promised it would be rectified by this morning and I have yet to received the correct invoice.So, yes a we are frustrated of the lack of care. Mind you these clients are elderly, so taking advantage of them is not the way to go. I hope they rectify this immediately.

Today was the last piece of the HVAC duct & vent installation to complete the whole project. I’m so impressed that each team has a speciality to the whole installation. They know what their doing and will gladly answer any questions. I was very pleased with the whole experience. I’ve used other companies in the pass with disappointments. I would highly recommend RS Andrew company.
I am completely satisfied with the product that was recommended and installed. The technicians that came to install the systems are thoroughly trained and knowledgeable. After recently purchasing a home, we were having some issues with our AC not keeping up. After 2 diagnostic visits, we were told a piece of our duct work needed to be reattached/repaired. They were able to get us an appointment to have it repaired the next day. Both technicians were honest and very friendly. It was a bit pricey (we were told it’s a flat rate for any duct work done up to 25ft) even as an “elite member”, but we’re confident the work was done correctly and professionally. The technicians were great!
In 2018 they sold us a Rheem HVAC system. We have had nothing but trouble since then. Every 6-8 months something else goes wrong. We have had to wait weeks for parts and at times it ended up not being what was truly wrong. They tell you they will call and don't call. The techs acknowledged more than once that the system is faulty, but we can't seem to get it replaced. Their customer is poor, we have been told that if we don't like the service to go elsewhere. However, we still have their faulty system under warranty. Run away from this company. So this is a blanket response to any unsatisfied customer. After being ignored, mislead, lied to and we have decided to cut our losses and get the system totally replaced by another reputable company.

Our AC broke in the middle of a summer heat wave on a Friday night and they were able to get someone out here by Sunday. They were incredibly affordable and professional. I had an absolutely delightful time from start to finish. From talking with the receptionist to the end with the technician made this incredibly hot experience bearable. I hope I won't need to call them again, but if I do, I definitely will!
Absolutely would not recommend for service. I called seeking a technician to inspect our air conditioner, and they set a time for someone to come out on Friday, May 7. They called me just a few minutes before the end of that time frame to say their technician had an emergency and couldn't make it, but they would come on Saturday. I said that was fine.On Saturday they called to tell me that they were extremely busy, and it would be very late in the day before they could come, but they were completely free on Sunday. I told them I understand, early Sunday morning will be alright. They said they would come by 10:00am.When the clock was ticking down on my time frame for Sunday, I called and they explained that they were busy and would try to come by 12:00. How did that happen, if I was told they were free that morning? So when 12:00 came and I *still* had not received a phone call, I called them back and asked them to cancel everything.RS Andrews of Tidewater will make promises they can't fulfill. Choose another business for your HVAC needs.

Chantelle was amazing, it was 86 degrees in the house, it started pouring down raining but she still replaced the part and got us up and running in 10 minutes. This team is ALWAYS professional, on time, extremely thorough, & explains everything including providing pictures. 5+ STARS for us. This visit only required resetting the thermostats, everything else fully operational.
I’ve had 6 install visits since getting my new AC unit. Only one or two left notes on all the visits in their system. I thought since it was a national company it would be easy, but it’s been inconvenient. Also left damage in my house, QC is supposed to get in touch with me.
The technician himself was competent and accurately diagnosed the problem with the air conditioning unit. Unfortunately at that point he had to make his numbers and I suspect make his commission which he sounded reluctant to do. He knew that the estimate for a new unit was way above what anyone else would charge as we found out later. We paid him for his services and then we're able to get in touch with our regular technician Chuck's HVAC. Chuck gave us an estimate of $6,500. Where is with RS Andrews we had to have a climate comfort consultant come and try and talk us into an elaborate system-wide replacement. We chose Chuck, his crew installed the new unit in the next couple of days and did an excellent job and the price was as promised. So when you're looking for a unit RS Andrews should not be your first call.

However, the needed part had to be ordered and I had to call numerous times to get an update on when it would arrive so the work could be completed. The technician that came to my home yesterday (6/20/2023) was polite and knowledgeable, however I felt that the cost of the replacement part was excessive and advised the technician of this. I paid $10,000 for a new HVAC unit in 2020. I called to have my unit checked because the day before the HVAC unit stopped generating cold air. After he performed a diagnostic test I was advised by the technician that a part (45/5 capacitor) needed to be replaced, at a cost of $300.00. Given that the warranty was only three years into the 10 year duration I believe that being charged $300 to replace the capacitor (which took a matter of minutes) was excessive as the original part obviously did not come near to meeting the performance standards duration indication by the 10 year warranty.
The repair man was very professional. Showed me what was wrong with our system documented well and called back to the company to let them know we need a new HVAC system. Very responsible by wearing shoe covers so he would not get my floor messed up. We were having fence power washed and water was spraying everywhere but he didn't get a drop in the house. Friendly and willing to answer questions. Arrived before time scheduled excellent job
We had such a great experience with this company. We were linked with them through the Home Depot. We had the pleasure of having Tyrone and Rock work with us to replace our old HVAC system. They were very polite and took their time to ensure the work was done right. They explained stuff to us throughout the whole process, and made sure we were ok with any decisions or changes that needed to be made. The sales representative David was amazing as well. He was able to explain things to us and break down pricing and what to expect. I really appreciate this teams hard and efficient work.
The time i was originally told got changed from 8am -noon to 8pm and the tech turned my heat on and then left. It was 72 when he came in my house and 76 with the heat on when he left. That was very odd to change the comfort of someones house and not tell them or reset their ac back on. The tech also said there was a clogged line he would try to unclog but he never told me if he did clear the clog.

They came and unwrapped things that did not need to be unwrapped on our AC unit they charged us money to just look at the unit and did nothing Upon asking for a receipt. They said they would get back to us in a day. Customer service was OK but not that great. I gave all the details when they asked about the unit and I let them know that it was an old unit and they was unprepared to service and take care of the unit. So basically I paid $109 for someone just to look at the unit for five minutes and tell me that they can’t work on it. Would I recommend this company never just buy some fans and ice and save you $100

Devon was very helpful with our thermostat repair. He was professional upon arrival, and made sure to inform me of everything up front prior to performing any tasks. He didn't take a super long time and answered all of our questions that we had. I would definitely recommend RS Andrew's and hire them again for any of my heating and cooling needs.

I paid over $1100 in labor alone which after talking to fellow contracting friends is extremely high to install a 38 gallon hot water heater. I was given a statement that they would dispose of the hot water at the time of the removal of my old hot water heater. Well they simply put it by my curbside yesterday and I have been getting the run around ever since about when a truck will be picking it up. I live in a community that has a community HOA and told the company having my old water heater sitting my curb is unacceptable since I may be fined. I thought working with a well known name would get me quality service but this is not the case.
We had a RS Andrews technician come out and we were told that the airblower on our air conditioner had mold in it and needed cleaning. The tech wanted $1800.00 and ask if we wanted to finance. So my husband said we just got it serviced last year how could that be. He talked to a friend who knew someone who serviced air conditioners and found out that it was the circuit breaker wires that needed coating on it because it was aluminum. We paid $200.00!

Bruce came out here to look at my system on a holiday.He conducted in my opinion a through check of my home system.He let me know what was going on with it. And what some of the problems may have been with my system. I really appreciate Bruce coming out and acting professionally and determining the calls of my AC on this hot day.

I re-tract the review I posted the other day. IDK how you people sleep at night knowing that you have or tried to rip someone off !! RS Andrews wanted to charge me $1200 just to tell us where the leak was coming from because our house AC unit had no coolant. After calling around I found other companies did not charge any where near as much. Like nearly $1000 difference :( also said I was better off replacing the unit with what they were going to charge for repairs. The company Temperature Satisfied came out and found the problem only charged $225 to find the leak and it would only cost me half of what RS Andrews was going to charge. Why do people / companies have to be so greedy they don't care who they hurt in the process !!
We have the service where RS Andrews comes out twice a year to clean inspect all of our units. It extends the life of the units and certainly helps the efficiency. James came out today and he was pleasant, professional and completed our maintenance. James has been to our home before and he takes his time to ensure everything is cleaned and running properly. Because of service technicians like James we always come back to RS Andrews.

The techs are very knowledgeable however the office personnel are not. I had a new system installed however the Duct work is still a mess one person told me they don't do duct work after calling four times for the AC running none stop I have have a tech out and charge me 400 dollars to replace one tube and told that will fix the issue however it is still nor fixed and after having two more techs out these guys found the issue and now the office is telling me it will be another 400 to fix a issue that should have been fixed the first time out

Sent someone to diagnosis the issue it cost $99.00, shecompletely misdiagnosedthe issue. Tried to tell me I would have to my thermostat wiring redone, it was a fuse. Should have checked the fuses. Anyone knows start with the simple before getting complicated. Call to speak with the service manager, left a message, no call back. Scummy company. I want my money back as your company just tried screw me over. I called them and received a refund.
I bought a new system from them a couple years ago and I have the maintenance package. They always make sure my seasonal maintenance is done and give the unit a thorough inspection and make give me cleaning tips for keeping my unit in tip top performance. A new system is expensive and I appreciate the attention to detail as well as friendly and professional staff. James did my maintenance today and he was thorough, didn't complain about my big dogs and did a thorough cleaning.

Scott came out late at night to check why my heat failed. He was very friendly and professional. After he informed me of the parts that failed and quoted me he also took the time to walk me out and educate me. David came to my home and was very professional and was a local who knew some of the people I work with and helped me get a great deal on a new HVAC. I did not have heat during a very cold time and even though they were fully booked he managed to pull some strings and get my HVAC installed on a weekend only a day later. The installation team did a good job. They left a few items around but overall did a good job. One of the team members did not wear a mask or booties so that was off putting but the other one did. Overall I would use recommend this company to someone else as of this moment for the fact of the speedy installation and quality job. The one big disappointment I currently have is that the woman who I need to contact to set up the city inspection is MIA. I have left multiple messages and emails with zero response. That’s off putting.

I have nothing but positive things to say about RS Andrews. I recently bought my first home and the overall status of my HVAC system was unknown. For a very low and affordable price, RS Andrews was able to schedule an appoint within 48 hours. Day of the appointment, a dispatcher reached out to me as promised, technician arrived on time and was very professional. Thomas demonstrated a thorough knowledge of the systems he's supporting, he was very courteous and removed his shoes when entering my home. Overall this is one of the best decisions I've made recently regarding selecting a reputable vendor and paying a fair price. Thomas cleaned the lower coils on my AC, gave me some tips on how to avoid straining the system and was very quick and efficient. 10 Stars for RS Andrews....as they say....Dont you hesistate!

Then suddenly we were under a contract again. I was going to purchase a contract from another company. Everything seems okay now, but that was too much confusion and stress. If that weren't bad enough he drives on the shoulder of the exit ramp to pull up beside me to use foul language and profanity. I had a new HVAC unit installed in March of 2022. The salesman who came out quoted me nearly $1000 to move the return to a better location in my house. I was fine with this because it made sense to me. However, when the installation crew showed up, they informed me they would not be able to move the return and explained why, which also made sense to me. I am not upset about those things. What I am upset about is that I have called RS Andrews numerous times over the past 11 months in an attempt to get SOMEONE to adjust my bill, because I am paying almost $1000 extra for work that was never completed. I’ve spoken to customer service who almost always transfers me to billing where I’ve received zero answers and never get a call back when I leave voicemails. I’ve reached out through email and even spoken to their quality assurance team, never heard back. While the installation of my new unit was great, this has been a terrible experience trying to get my bill adjusted and I would not recommend this company to a friend due to poor customer service.

After paying over 6k within two days I ended up spending Christmas with frozen pipes due to lack of insulation on new copper pipes as well as workers carelessly leaving my crawl space open. In return while trying to get pipes to unthaw my sewer line was cracked. The company took no responsibility for their actions as well as told me I had to wait until Monday to have it fixed. Again I bought the most top of the line water heater and was treated this way. The management is poor in planning for on call emergencies especially through the holiday when new equipment is installed Less than 24 hours of closing the business for a 3 day weekend. I’m aware they have the best reviews in town but please be aware they lack values and integrity. This is not even mentioning things that I heard their work’s discussing and commenting on while at my house on the job. All in all it has been a VERY POOR experience and I wish I would had went elsewhere due to the unprofessionalism.

my guy, i wish i knew his name, came out and quickly figured out the problem was with the gas meter- he stayed a few minutes in his car doing the paperwork and when VA natural gas got there, he was already outside with them helping them understand the problem. he was so beyond helpful and really saved the day for me as i had been sitting in the cold for two days.
I would give zero stars if I could. My family had the worst experience with David Rasberry. He assured us that if we went with their business that our A/C would be working after a one-day install. Before he even gave us the quote we informed him of the issue we had with our previous unit. There was no note taken or passed on to the installation team. Our new unit was installed on Monday, July 18, but it wasn’t fully functional until Wednesday night. The technician they sent out on Tuesday couldn’t help us at all; they even had the audacity to ask if we’d like to agree to the quote without a guaranteed timeframe for the part. We had to go with another company for the repair which was able to get it done with just one visit. We had no issues with the installers themselves, but this has been the worst service overall that we’ve received.

The sales tech Ms. WILLIAMS was rude and only interested in selling me a new system I was not interested in purchasing. She started out by telling me how terrible the system I had was and how it should only last 8-10y when I purchased it from RS Andrews. And this was on a system that up to this point has been running perfectly fine. When I told her I was just interested in the tune up I signed up for she stormed out of the house said someone else would take my payment and that it wasn’t worth her time.This is unacceptable behavior from a professional that I let into my home. The workmen from RS Andrews were on time, professional, friendly, courteous and really seemed to know their stuff. They installed a new AC unit including new outside and inside. The old Lennox unit was pushing 30 years old, and had struggled last summer during the heat wave, so it was time to replace it. They installed a Carrier 2 ton unit. It blows icy cold now but we're still in March. I'm assuming it can handle the July and August humidity infused blast furnace that we call Summer here in Norfolk, VA. The lead installer told me to call RS Andrews directly if it didn't and they'd make it right. 1 year guarantee on labor and a 10 year guarantee on the unit. They gave me a pretty good deal too, with a hefty discount. But again, I had the work done in March when demand isn't quite so high. So far I'm very pleased, but ask me again in August.
RS Andrews was responsive, didn't charge extra to come out on a Sunday, and our technician Shane was polite, professional, and informative.

They did a good job repairing. However, they were not on time. My mom wasted all day waiting in the house during the time frame they mentioned and when it had been a few hours passing the time frame they gave, she was about to leave and that’s when they called me. The repair was for my Airbnb house and I lost a customer that night because they were late. I asked for a type of compensation from the technician over the phone as I was at work and he was extremely rude and gave me coupons that are not worth using. The technician was mad as if I was the technician and I was the one being late. I definitely respected the technician and his work, but I was not talked to with the same respect. Try other places that values you, their customer, as a person. I would give them a five stars but they definitely do not have a good customer service.

Late for appointment called said technician would arrive within hour was almost two hours. Drain line was stopped up had to be cleaned out took about 30 minutes cost 250.00 dollars which I felt was high but I paid with no question as I originaly quoted 350.00 dollars it took a call to the manager to reduce the price but ac is back running and sometimes you just have except the price and pay the piper.

Outstanding experience. Called on a Friday to inquire about replacing our aging central air system. Someone came out THAT afternoon, and within a very short time we signed at a great price - and with a definite installation date and time. Installation finished the following Monday around lunchtime, and installers Scotty F and Mike M did a great job. Scummy company. They rewired my neighbors unit making it seem like it wasn’t working and needed replacing immediately. They overcharged them an insane price so my neighbors found a small local company to do it for $4k less. Neighbors called to cancel and RS Andrews flipped out and lowered it to price match all of a sudden. Very crooked company. They came and installed a new HVAC system in my home about 3 months ago and since then have had to come back 5-6 times due to lack of experience. I am still currently waiting on this company to come back to my home to fix something that was recognized as a problem weeks ago. 10/10 would not recommend.
Had my HVAC replaced by them. Part that was installed has now failed. They agreed to replaced manufactured bad part for $1882. Part is free but labor and coolant that is needed are not hence the $1882. They like to say free replacement parts then jack up labor cost.

Ive honestly been stressing about getting my A/C fixed for a while but RS Andrews made it so simple from beginning to end. The woman who scheduled my appointment was friendly and helpful, they called ahead of arrival and were able to come to my house sooner than originally expected! The technician, Jeremey was efficient, friendly, and explained everything he was doing. He took the time to thoroughly explain all of my options to me for the repairs and communicated with me every step of the way! I'd highly recommend them to anyone needing any kind of a/c repair done in their home.
After having not the greatest experience over the last year with this company, today, our technician Rook LaMendola really turned things around. We have had technicians come in the past and be very rude, cranky, and downright unpleasant. We have had technicians come who tell us incorrect things. After over a week of our unit being out this time (it has been out several times) Rook came to install parts that someone else at the company quoted us for. Turns out, those parts were not actually what was wrong with the unit. Although all Rook was scheduled for was to simply come install the parts, he listened to our frustrations and took the time to really figure out what was wrong. He went back to the shop for a part (a one hour round trip endeavor) and installed it, and made sure everything was working properly before he left. He talked with us, was very personable, and most importantly, listened to us. He went above and beyond what was expected today, and for that, my family and I are truly thankful. (And finally cool!) Company jerry rigged our install twice. Took 10 months to get it passed for inspection. We had to buy portable units for the summer right after paying 11,000 dollars for install so our electric bill is through the roof. And our warranty is almost over. The quality manager basically ignores us. We feel like we were scammed. We were told that the salesman is full of it and nothing he told us could be held against them.

The technician (Bryan F) was professional, courteous, and friendly. The entire process was great: he arrived within the provided time window; the office called me when he was in route; and the office also texted his name and picture prior to his arrival.No problems or complaints.
Technician showed up early (which was a good thing). I had gotten off work early and called to see if they could come earlier than the previously set appointment time, which they did.The technician was very polite and knowledgeable. He added some refrigerant to my system and checked out the entire system. We are now waiting to see if the freon leaks out, or if it just wasn't set up and charged properly when it was initially installed last year (by a different company).The technician also wanted me to text him personally the following day to make sure everything was working as it should be.I was very pleased with the service. After trying to get more written detail on what caused the the issues with my unit they agreed multiple times and stated they would send me an email with the information. I've purchased two systems from RS Andrews (by way of Home Depot) in the last two years. The first system (purchased late summer, 2019) performed beautifully until last month, when it failed to cool our upstairs rooms adequately, struggling to maintain 78 degrees even with outdoor temps in the mid 80s. The first service call (July '21) did not result in a fix; I was told to wash out the coils as the technician could find nothing wrong with the system. I washed out the coils per the tech's instructions, but this did nothing. Fast forward to August, and with warmer temps the upstairs rooms become unbearably warm. Another service call...and the problem is still unresolved. They tell me that the system is doing everything it's supposed to do, and consider the case closed. Meanwhile, I buy a test thermometer and discover that the upstairs air flow is 16 degrees warmer than the downstairs at 10 AM in the morning. No RS Andrews, everything is not fine, and now I will happily look to your more competent competitors to fix the problem that you abandoned. In hindsight, I really wish I would have checked these guys out before dropping almost $20k on a bad product, bad service and a hot house.

We recently had our Ac/ Heating unit replaced and not even 2 hrs already had issues with it…. They also screwed up our Security Cameras which were working fine until they were in our attic…. We had to get someone else to repair our dryer vent which was disconnected by the workers…. We have continued to get them to reimburse us but they keep avoiding us…. Our next step is to contact our lawyer now and report them to the BBB…. Whatever you do Do not Use them at all!oh by the way the workers left some materials in our attic which should not have been up there in the first place!

The air conditioning unit was placed in my townhouse, six months ago, first, they forgot to put the filter in and it took a month to get them to do that. Now, as of this month, the heating pump is leaking air because it’s detach from the ceiling. The repair man saw the bad work, and all he could do was tape it up and say somebody would reach me later hoping to see the results of that sometime this week before I have to go back to work, pretty much my air-conditioning heating unit is heating and cooling the laundry room upstairs that it is it, if I known that the shabbiness of the work was this bad, I would’ve went to a different company to get an air conditioning unit installed in my home
Both the salesman and the install crew were on time, professional, and willing to help in any way. We got a great deal on a brand new system. I am even considering applying for a job with the company since I liked the way the install team operated.

The HVAC tech was a very professional and courteous and “Hope” did what I thought would bring my system back to life which was to replace the start-run capacitor as the old one was failed. Well, this isn’t the first CAP that I’ve replaced on this roughly 25 year old system and I was pretty thrilled when the compressor kicked on. Hope was pleased too but our high five was short lived when after about 3minutes the compressor started to howl and we found out why the capacitor blew! The long story is that I’ll need a new AC system and she was able to convey the reasons why with clarity and with a path to resolution, which on a Labor Day weekend isn’t easy. Bottom line as a fellow who takes pride in his own “Mr Fixit” capabilities highly recommends both Hope as Tech and the company for being fast and straight forward

I have been a RS Andrew customer for years but not anymore. This company has been robbing me for years. I spent 10,000 dollars on a brand new system and a couple years later the heating element goes bad. RS Andrew comes out to say the repair will be $800.00. I ask isn't this part covered under my warranty. Their response is, Yes. Further state the amount of $800.00 is labor and stocking. Their plan was to charge $800.00 for labor that took the technician 20 minutes to fix. All this was in February. April comes And I fall for the $69.00 dollar AC tuneup special. In July, the hottest week of the year so far. I have to call them again. Tech comes out and says your capacitor is bad. Tech goes to his truck I guess to speak to his corrupt service manager. Tech comes back to say the repair will be 717.00. I again say, isn't this covered under warranty. Tech says, of course it is, we are giving you a discount for the warranty of $300.00. In reality it would have cost $1017.00 if I didn't have warranty. So, for an $8.00 part, Iwas going to be charged $709.00 in labor for something yet again covered under warranty. To put the icing on the cake, I call Thursday night to the after hours number to get on the service list. They say, I will send a Tech out to your house between 12 and 5. I wait around at my house at 4:30 the Tech shows up to tell me he doesn't have the part on his service truck and that I would have to wait for a call back. Not anymore RS Andrews, Not anymore RS Andrews.
I set an appointment 2 weeks out for an 8-12 slot. Halfway through the appointment slot, they called and said they needed to reschedule, so I did.Second appointment, at a date the phone operator suggested, again no show and a call to reschedule.If they cant even hold an appointment, I can only imagine the quality of service or lack there of.
The 2 men that came to finish my install were great. Got a 5 hour window, they came early, got right to work: done within 2 hours.I had a FULL install done in June: the installers didn’t finish the heat portion (don’t have the parts, we’ll be back-never did AND left the gas line open: told me they had just isolated: they in fact turned off the main line. My heat, water, & cooking all run on gas). I had to call multiple times to get the line closed up (Thank you Laura). less than a week later: water damage through me ceiling due to faulty install. The unit was offset and the sensor didn’t pick up the water in the pan. Once we finally got all that fixed, I asked all every single tech to finish the heat portion. No one had parts on truck. I had to call multiple times over a 2 week period and leave messages before I got through. My home should have never dropped into the 50s.Quality Assurance gentleman was lovely. Call center women were on point with customer service. The technicians that came through were all pleasant enough. This overall experience has been a nightmare. None of it should have happened. I should have never had to BEG to complete services paid for.UPDATE:My package unit is tilting and these technicians told me it’s supposed to & left. FALSE.I wish I could get the entire system ripped out and go to another company.
Terrance, the technician that came was rude and intimidating. I asked for the diagnosis, and he gave me few options. I needed more information to make right decision. I asked because he was not clear,, and he started getting angry, glared, and yelling at me when I asked more info abt the service and why I would need it. He still wouldnt explain clearly... just keep repeating I already explained and have nothing else to sayThen, he started leaning on my water heater,And when I asked him not to, he said, what?? In sarcastic tone. I asked him not to once again, and he said, cool buddy with hand gesture..Also, he was going leave without to putting unit back if I didn't tell him to put it back..I felt scared, intimidated, and disrespected..I just wanted him to be out of my property as soon as possible, so I just paid what he told me and got him out even though I questioned if I received quality of service that I paid for...Called RS Andrew, including QA number in below comment,,,, never heard back.

After two months of incompetence, the technician of today (8/16/2021) has left stating all is good. Well, I'd beg to differ. Two months of my having to track down the status of my parts, initiate contact with service to get the parts scheduled for install, only to find out that the office had ordered the wrong parts multiple times and wasting technicians time. Today, I find the unit not back together as originally found two months ago. Trash around the unit. Trash in my driveway. Technician that drove through the yard, cutting deep ruts in the soft mud from all of the rain. Backed into a tree, breaking branches, never coming back to acknowledge it. Currently I question if the parts installed are even correct as I found the finishing cover for fan motor behind our second unit, and it doesn't fit with new correct fan motor. I've had numerous calls for and requests sent through techs for anyone from management to call me. No one has been bothered to call. Just like every other aspect of this simple job, I'll have to continue to be proactive to get anything done.Customer service? More like customer doing most of the service. Maybe we should be paid for our efforts...

Our undersized vintage 1996 downstairs heat pump outside and inside units were replaced by a new Carrier system using existing ductwork. The First American Home Warranty company (came with the recent purchase of the residence - I will not renew and recommend against home warranties) wanted to patch up the old one again despite repeated failures and water/mold damage due to ice buildup caused by coolant leakage. By the time the installers showed up we had been without cooling while under National Weather Service heat advisories for 4 days, the fault of FAHW, not RS Andrews. The arrived on Saturday salesman sold us on a new Carrier system, an ultraviolet unit to kill organisms, and we asked for a drip pan to be installed and two new smart thermostats for which he recommended Google Nest Pros. He assured us the price quoted was competitive, but in retrospect it seems we overpaid. We were in a hurry and had dealt with this company at two other previous residences and did not get multiple bids. Our bad. Installation was scheduled for Monday 9am. We never got a confirmation from the company.The technicians showed up a bit late due to Monday morning meeting but did notify us when they were in route. They immediately installed a replacement Google Nest Pro for the working upstairs heat pump, as specified, but failed to restore the power until I complained because the upstairs was getting hot. When they tried to install the inside air handler the unit would not fit in the tight space despite the fact that the salesman said we would need to have the more expensive Carrier unit rather than a Rheam due to space constraints. They had to go from Norfolk back to Chesapeake to get a smaller air handler. When they were installing it I noticed the absence of the drip pan that was in the specifications. The technician explained that it was not possible to install a drip pan because our ductwork required downward air flow and that the salesman who sold us on Saturday was no longer with the company as of Monday installation day. Next we were told that the 5 existing wires to the old thermostat would not support the Google Nest Pro due to lack of a C-wire for power. I asked for reductions in price due to these deficiencies and was told I would be called to discuss the issues. No call has happened as of this writing on Tuesday. A few minutes of googling told me that five wires should be sufficient for any system, and worst case a 24 volt transformer connected to a nearby outlet could work around a missing C-wire problem. By the time I explained this they had already installed a dumb thermostat. They then said they had misunderstood the wiring, could install the Nest and did so, but without using the supplied cover plate to hide the mess on the wall due to the Nest being smaller than the old analog thermostat. They said the cover plate could not be installed because the wires were too short. At about that time a third technician, presumably more senior, showed up and after an hour and a half and some extensions of wires the new Nest Pro thermostat and cover plate were installed. For some reason, despite the fact that the Nest app works with both upstairs and downstairs thermostats, and I installed the appropriate Amazon Alexa skill, Alexa works with the upstairs but refuses to recognize the downstairs Nest.By around 6pm we finally had a working heat pump. I still think we overpaid and have not heard back from the company about a rebate due to failure to meet the specifications.
Technician was good, though for what was done, and had similar issue last summer, the cost was extremely high.

Tim and his associate was very professional explain everything to me.
The problem was not resolved. I was given estimates for what would improve air quality in the home. It was explained that I have a condensation issue because the plenum box the air handler sits on did not have insulation on the outside. The bottom of the air handler box is insulated and was soaked with water. As I was told by the tech it was from condensation. As it turned out the overflow port that could have been installed with an overflow line never had a plug in it from the day the unit was installed. There was only a knock out blank through a plastic cap that covered the secondary drain hole. When the drain is not working or slow all the the water was running down inside the air handler into the insulation and probably into the plenum for the fan. I think this is a failure on RS Andrews during installation. Because of this I now have a moisture problem that RS Andrews installation caused and are trying to use to sell a UV light to kill mold and bacteria. The technician said he would clean it up but when he returned with the estimate said his vacuum battery was dead. I was given two bottom line estimates to include the thermostat which had been determined to be faulty only because it did not switch the fan on quickly enough. The estimates did not have line item cost for comparison and if I didn't book the appointment this day I wouldn't get the discount being offered. I don't feel I should have to pay for the clean up or installing the overflow drain to prevent this problem. It should had been done in Feb. 2021 when the system was installed. I can't give a good review and have lost faith in the company R.S Andrews.

Was referred RS Andrews of Tidewater by Home Depot. I didn’t know what to expect. Customer service over the phone when scheduling was extremely friendly, quick, and helpful. Khalif came out and walked me through everything he was doing. Highly recommend you use this company!!!

Called the company at 4pm and Andrew came at 5:30 pm the same day!, had on a mask and put on those sock things that go over ya boot so ya dont track dirt on, looked at the AC unit, found the problem, gave me recommendations on repair and replacement, my unit is kinda old so set me up with someone who can give me a qoute, also checked my attic to see if the there were a problem with my vents, I'm a happy customer, and no crazy damage to my wallet like these other companies. I fully recommend this company, they are legit

Our AC wasn't blowing cold air and I noticed there was a leak. We had an hvac guy ( different company) come out yesterday and all he did was check the freone level and replace it. He never came inside to check our inside unit. I noticied the freone leaking out this afternoon and my house not cooling down again. We called RS Andrews and Valencia notified us of where it was coming from and checked the inside unit as well. She scheduled us for a tech to come and look at the unit, gives ingor about our potential warranty (new unit) and to get the the leak fixed permanently. She gave us advice and suggested that we l enroll their elite plan. In other words, Valencia came quickly and thoroughly figured out the problem and the solution. She didn't rush the job and we really appreciate her work ethic, advice and honesty!
I had a dual HVAC unit installed in May 2020. I’ve used RSA for my preventive maintenance. They are always on time, courteous and professional.

I purchased my home last year and have them come every 6 months for maintenance and had them out for a repair in the dreadful heat last July when my unit stopped working. The $19 a month I pay for the bi annualmaintenance gives me peace of mind and when repairs were needed they were professional, fairly priced and QUICK. Absolutely recommend. My tech today for my service was Chantelle and she was so thorough and answered all my questions.
I am so very thankful to Bruce for coming out and fixing my A/C issue. He was very knowledgeable and attentive to my concerns. I will definitely consider using RS Andrews in the event that I have any other issues.

We had RS Andrews replace our HVAC system a year ago. At that time, the technician installed it upside down... Yes upside down. The intake and the output were reversed. We had to call and have them come back to reinstall it. There was no I am sorry for the inconvenience or anything. Just OK we will have someone come back. At the time I should have just halted our service, but I gave them another chance and bought the service contract. Now the thermostat that they sold us and installed has malfunctioned and is not working. We called last Monday and they said they could not get us an appointment until Thursday. Then Thursday comes and they leave a voicemail 2 hours before the appointment that they need to reschedule. We call back and are informed that they will have to reschedule for NEXT Thursday... a week later! While my AC is not working. How did we go from today to next week in a few hours??? I will be canceling my contract and business with this company.

The installation was great for both the AC unit and water heater. However, the reason why I'm giving three stars is that I did not receive the water heater instructions or booklet that typically comes with the equipment. I had requested one, but they sent me a booklet that doesn't match my water heater. Sadly, I have mentioned this issue multiple times to different people when they called to ask about the installation, but I still haven't received the correct booklet. It only took me 5 seconds to find the brand and model number and visit the manufacturer's website, so they could have easily sent it to me. Other than that, they were quick and accurate. The salesman advised and showed me which systems would fulfill my needs instead of trying to sell me the most expensive ones.

Stay away from them!!!This is the most unprofessional company that I have ever worked with. If you don’t want to read the whole story, here is the summary: They make an appointment for your service and then at the time of the service, they reschedule it claiming that they were overbooked or there was a scheduling mishap. This happened to us 5 times in 5 days when it is 90+ degrees outside...Our AC broke down on Thursday, July 15. We used Home Depot’s MyInstall service to create a lead with a service provider. The service provider was RS Andrews of Tidewater. We called them and they scheduled us for Friday 4-8pm. Around 4 pm on Friday, they called us again to let us know that they were overbooked for the day, but can come on Saturday between 12-4pm. We accepted that and waited on Saturday. As it was approaching 4pm on Saturday, we called them again to learn that the appointment was not properly scheduled and does not show up in the system. We were told that they can come on Monday. After talking to multiple people and threatening them with filing complaints with BBB, they were able to get someone out in a few hours. The technician came and thought he fixed the problem, but we started having the same problem on Monday. We called them back to schedule another appointment on Tuesday 4-8pm. On Tuesday around 3:30pm, we got a call from them saying that they were overbooked and have to reschedule. That was not acceptable and I insisted on getting the service that day as they promised. They said they could send someone after hours. Around 7:30pm, they confirmed that we were the third customer the technician would be serving. We even got the text message confirming that the technician is on his way. We waited until 11pm and called them again. Apparently, there was a mishap with their scheduling and the technician was not aware of his service with us. When I asked whether he can still make it that night, they told me that he was in North Carolina – a few hours away from us. The person I talked to was very understanding and scheduled the service for Wednesday morning between 8am-12pm. Guess what! At around 8am on Wednesday, we got a call from them saying that they were overbooked and have to reschedule. This was no longer bearable. We arranged a service with a local company, which was able to come in a few hours, and fixed the problem. Unfortunately, some parts of the system already got enough of a damage –most likely because we kept it running after RS Tidewaters service- and may broke down any time. When we arranged the service with the other company, I called the RS headquarters and they promised to give us the amount we paid on Saturday back –not received yet. However, this is in no means a compensation for all the time we lost, all the frustration we experienced with their incompetent workers, and the damage that’s done to our AC.

Derrick was great and was extremely knowledgeable, professional and kind. If I judged the company off of his work, they would have 5 stars. My review of the company has nothing to do with him, he was great!However, we've had major issues with the unit, including the coil on the interior part of the unit and now the defrost board in the outside unit. since we’ve had it installed 3 years ago. We feel we were sold a lemon AC unit and have had major issues with every major part at different times over the last 3 years. Hopefully the company will make this right by the time we get the system fixed properly.

Long history of awful service from this organization (see previous reviews). Thought we had turned the corner; they repaired the damage they caused to my house and my systems seem to finally be running ok. But no.After a routine maintenance session today, the technician noted that I lacked surge suppression on my systems, and wrote up a quote to provide same. The quote was over $1700 for two surge protectors you could buy on Amazon for about $80. (The original quote was over $2,000, but I was offered a discount for being a maintenance plan subscriber. How thoughtful!)Don’t let these clowns anywhere near your home.

I give three stars because when they’re here they do good work but I take a full day off of work to be here at a prescribed time and they don’t show up they reschedule after I called I took another day off work, and between 12 and five didn’t show up again I didn’t show up till 530. It’s too large of a window for them not to show up or at least give a courtesy call, so I’m disappointing with the maintenance service side of the house or people have to take days off of work and you can’t make your committed times it’s not good business practice but like I said again, when the workers are here, they’re professional and they do a good job .

I called one afternoon about my dead water heater and they sent someone to the house just over an hour later. The next morning a crew installed a new unit and were done by 10:45. Everyone that I had dealings with were very friendly and efficient. I will definitely use them again, if needed.
I have a maintenance HVAC plan with RS Andrews. Caleb came today and an entire hour inspecting and tweaking my system to ensure it was operating at its highest efficiency. By the time he finished the air temperature was 49 degrees coming out of my air conditioner . What a terrific tech. A realPerfectionist . I was duly impressed.

Worst experience ever, technician quickly gave me scenarios and assumptions of how I needed a new system. She didn’t even hear the system working or couldn’t turned on, and she said how it was failing.She realized the breakers were off, and then she continued saying that the unit jumped the breakers when I confirmed with my husband that he turned off.Then I have to troubleshoot why the unit was not coming on, and it was because she didn’t turned on all the breakers.But she continued with the scenario that the compressor was bad.I asked her to wait and listen to the unit, but she said “all this time the unit hasn’t turned on” . How could it , if it didn’t have power.Then when she finally heard the problem she said yeah it is the compressor.But the fan was making the noise, she insisted that with that fan for sure the compressor is bad.I lost all the confidence in the tech, she didn’t even tried to put oil in the fan because it sounds like it needs lubrication.I needed fresh air, so I walked outside 3 minutes after she was screaming ma’am. Very disrespectful and poor customer service.My husband when he arrived asked her why she came to this conclusion if she didn’t work in the system she said she based her diagnosis in what I told her, she said the customer always knows what is wrong with the unit. This is a house I just bought and I don’t know anything about that unit, but I know the fan sounds terrible and maybe needs lubricación but she said I need a new unit. By the way she said I need a new furnace as well because of the compressor.I called the office they told me they will send another technician. They told me he will be there in 45 minutes . I called back to inquire why 1:30 minutes he did not come and I was told to wait 1 more hour.
RS Andrews of Tidewater sold me a 3 1/2 ton AC unit (an upgrade from my ancient 3 ton unit). I had a couple of issues with the system until this dude Chris came by and uprighted the ship! This gentleman knew just what to do to satisfy this old retiree…he fixed everything with a 😊! Thanks RS, for sending Chris our way this morning. I was in need of emergency duct repair and after being turned down by 4 other companies. RS responded quickly by replacing my entire duct system in a day in August heat. Shout out to Mike, Dylan, and rayheem for their hard work and professionalism.
Our technician today was Thom. Although we requested Valencia, since she's back, we were pleased w/ Thom's professionalism and patience. Today our regular service was due. James came out and was not only an example of top notch service but very capable and gave me options and took real time to make sure routine maintenance veas performed. Both the dispatcher, Loretta and my technician, James were extremely helpful. James went over the top to please, checked every component, replaced a lost screw, and checked for gas leaks to the furnace, hot water heater and the exterior meter, plus gave expert advice to prevent mildew in the AC drain!😀 I would highly recommend this gentleman's work.Rock, next technician 3/17/23did exceptional work on HVAC and Furnace. We are so happy with RS Andrews, and love their twice annual checkups to keep us comfortable no matter what. Today our service technician was Matthew D. He was on time, protected my home with shoe covers, was careful and appreciative, pleasant, honest and candid, very professional. He took photographs to show us how the capacitor was underperforming, explained it's role and how it prevented larger programs and explained his readings. He also explained the function of the UV light, which he replaced for us. He was very thorough and we felt very good about his service to our home. We are glad we got our total system with RS Andrews 9 years ago.

The technician, Bruce, that came out was very friendly and informative. Even after locating the problem, he continued to check the whole system for any other problems. Today was a scheduled appointment for heating maintenance. At first the tech was kind and friendly. When we did not want to talk to a comfort specialist, (because we did in the summer) the tech became extremely short with us. This has been the third visit to our home and this was the first bad experience.
We’ve used RS Andrews in the past numerous times and have always had a good experience. The appointment request online was very easy to use. RS Andrews responded quickly and came out the very next day. Our technician Duvon did a terrific job checking our furnace in the attic. He was on time and professional. He even came out on a Sunday.

Called to schedule appointment due to problems with A/C installed by RS Andrews. When making the appointment, I advised the customer service rep that number in the computer was not a good number and gave her the correct number since I had changed numbers since the installation of the unit. Told I had an appointment between 5 and 9 pm today. Stressed the importance due to the fact I had respiratory problems. Heard nothing and decided to call to check at 8 pm. Was told they had called and were not able to reach me because the number was disconnected. I told her I told the rep this morning the correct number and she had recited it back. Still an hour left in the appointment window I have but now she said they had to reschedule for the morning. Poor customer service when your rep does not input correct information but the customer pays for it.
Today, Jan 15, 2022 was my scheduled semi-annual HVAC maintenance and the assigned technician was James Smick a fellow veteran. We chatted from the time he walked in until he left. He was on time, professional & very friendly. I really appreciate him going over all of the checks he performed and what they meant. I also like the fact that I didn't have to ask him to check my filters and the air flow in my vents. In the past a few technicians didn't even bother to check my filters or vent flow...I thought that was part of my annual maintenance. Thanks to James he did it right!!

I was actually scheduled for an emergency appointment on Sunday, between 12-5, at 4:35 I received a call telling us that they were rescheduling the appointment for Tuesday morning before noon. To say we were disappointed in having waited all Sunday afternoon for no reason, would be an understatement. But we were resigned at that point.Shortly after 8:00am this morning, the phone rang and RS Andrew’s told us a tech could be out within a couple of hours. My husband told them, “come on, please!”10:30 the technician arrived, and she was wonderful. We knew we had major problems caused by the previous service person, but she was patient and thorough and got us back up and running. Definitely no inexpensive, but much cheaper than allowing the previous person further damage the system while bleeding us out!She was actually kind and understanding as well as very knowledgeable and competent. We signed on for the annual service.Would recommend.
Service tech Bruce H. was very thorough when he came to my home to do the winter maintenance on both my heating units. He actually took the time to answer my questions and explain what he was doing.
We are new homeowners and contacted Lowe’s/RS Andrews for a QUOTE on a new HVAC system. Just over the course of 2 days of dealing with these people I can tell they are not a good company. They called me a total of 15 times in 24 hours. Left 7 voicemails and texted twice. All to schedule an appointment. I scheduled an appointment and they still kept calling. They are just as bad as debt collectors with the incessant calling. The tech comes out and is immediately trying to sell us a new unit on top of him having an attitude problem. After reading the reviews from customers I knew I was right in thinking that I don’t want to deal with this company. It’s amazing how they are still operating after conning so many customers. I’ll definitely be looking for another company.

The electricians showed up today and didn’t leave until their job was done. They had to install a new breaker panel and meter base so the tankless hot water heater they installed will work.
I rent a house with dual zone AC, and an older freon system. Homeowner has used this service for the newer system downstairs. Noticed that we weren't getting any cold air, these guys came out quickly to diagnose the problem. Turns out they can't fix older systems so it had to be replaced, along with some duct work that had been savaged by a raccoon. Techs came out and did three days of work and then I guess forgot about us. Our contact with the company promised to bring a window unit for us until the work was done. He made this promise 3 times. Oh we'll have you one tomorrow. After two weeks I gave up and bought my own. So after the first three days of work we were told they needed an electrician to finish the job. After calling the contact numerous times, about three weeks later we finally got someone out on site to finish the install. They cleaned up, left. After running the AC for about two hours I noticed that there was still no cold air and the contact, George, wasn't answering or returning calls. Still waiting for someone to finish this job.

First I want to say that our initial service/ estimate for a new Hvac system went smoothly. Mike was very helpful when he came out to inspect previous work and working conditions of our previous unit (we just purchased a home, so we did not know what was going on) The guarantees that RS Andrew's promises and how quickly everyone seemed to respond to us helped our decision to move forward with this company. The installers were nice, professional and respectful of our property. We were promised a Google Nest thermostat with our new unit, unfortunately the crew that day did not have one on the truck. The first hot day above 90° our house was at 73° okay not to bad only a 2° degree difference from what we had it set to. There promise or guarantee was the unit would hold the temperature we set it to within that difference. However as the day went on my infants room was 77° and did not cool down til after midnight. This is a concern for us. We have only had our unit 2 weeks and 2 days. EVERYTIME we set up an appointment with dispatch the technician never shows, they dont have the nest thermostat on the truck( why wouldnt you check your truck before coming, knowing this is one of the things needed) we had one technician who was supposed to be out between 5-9pm call and tell my husband it's not on a paperwork for a nest (my husband read the paperwork he signed stating we get one) and then asked what day is good for him to come out. KNOWING he was supposed to be out that day. NO ONE has delivered on there 24hr guarantee to come out within 1 year of installation date. A technician finally showed up last Sunday, very sweet girl. Unfortunately no thermostat on her truck and did not ran a check to see if our unit is running correctly. We feel she was sent as a filler to shut us up, that someone showed. So we had to set up ANOTHER appointment. Today was that day... guess what NO ONE showed again. We are continuously blown off. Were constantly playing phone tag. The techs dont show when there supposed to and then want to show up later or within a time frame we can't be home. Now were stuck again in this situation. There open 24hrs but after 5pm its a done deal. You wont see anyone. Just run a check on the unit, make sure there's nothing wrong with the duct work leading to my infants room and install the new thermostat. That's literally all were asking... if the unit is working efficiently then we shouldn't have an issue.Update as of 8/05We recently had our hvac system and some duct work damaged by another company we used for insulation. We reached out to RS Andrew's on Wednesday and Will S. took pictures and explained to us what happened. The other company said the straps broke but didn't admit they did it (we heard a thunk from our attic) We lost air flow in half our house because of the insulation company. RS Andrew's worked with us financially and were able to come back out Friday. Will and Chris attached the duct work damaged and reinstalled the Hvac. I felt Will and Chris really made the attempt and cared about the fact we have 1yr old. His room gets the warmest during the days. The did what they could to get us up and running again. With the new insulation and how tight our attic is we know it was a challenge.
The service technician Kyle was very understanding, professional, and solved my problem on the spot. I feel assured and confident that this company will be my go to source if I have any problems in the future. I highly recommend them. If you are thinking about it, don’t hesitate, just call.
Well after calling this other company I wont say which one (1 hour ...... ) and being told it's a 2 week wait for service and they never called back to say ok you ready for servoce I just looked for another company. I'm not knowing who's good or not just moved from CA. been here 2 months without A/C I left a online service request for service and received a call same day and set up service for next day. I'm sold on this company joining their elite club just to keep them if I have any problems they can and will take care of me.. Technician Allen was so very thorough. I've had many technicians work on my system in the past and this annual furnace inspection and tune up was the best ever.
They have been my goto HVAC company for new systems, maintenance and repairs for primary home and rental property for years. Even after having a working relationship for more than 10 years, I have decided to end the relationship due to how unethical they have acted on their last visit. I have asked them to perform pre-fall maintenance. The technician mentioned that the UV light system installed to kill mold in the duct work failed and needs to be replaced. He offered a replacement system for around $2k. As my uv light system is still under warranty, I told him that I will try to get it fixed under warranty before getting it replaced. I then have to schedule an appointment with the uv manufacturer and pay them to come and perform diagnostics as labor is not covered under warranty. The uv manufacturer after checking the system confirmed that the power supply to the system was disconnected. I am sure that the technician from RSA Tidewater purposefully disconnected the power supply to the UV light system to sell me a replacement system. I was extremely disappointed in RSA of Tidewater for the way they tried to replace a perfectly working system for their business.If they can do this to their most trusted long term client, I can only imagine what they can do to new or first time clients. RSA lost my trust and I will never call them again for any of my future HVAC needs. Please consider you are warned, stay away from this company for your own good and peace of mind.

check this company it in YELP before. they have TERRIBLE reviews.if i could possibly give them a 0 star, i would.they are scammers!!! they were attempting to charge me $600 for a blower motor that 1 isn't $600 to begin with and also i have WARRANTY which covers the parts. had i not called Goodman i wouldn't have known Tom was trying to scam me out of my money.i tried to speak to managers about the issue and even request the price breakdown of labor and such and was told i wouldnt be able to get that.it then turns out that the price they were charging me was NOT the actually price. i called back as a different individual asking about the same service and was quoted a different amount.they are the worst company i have ever worked with. id never want anyone of such nature to be in my home! they knew we wouldn't be able to pay the outrageous amount and knew they'd pocket the $89!i will be writing the BBB in regards to this terrible company!DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!

Mike was my service representative. He was on time and very informational. Let me watch his entire process for troubleshooting and how to determine the age for the unit I currently have. The lady in the office who set up my appointment was very pleasant and nice. She was able to schedule me a service representative In a timely manner and answered any questions I had at the time.
Great knowledgeable guys. Came in went straight to work removing old hvac system and installed a new one. No mess made nor left behind. About 5 hours system was installed, about another 30 minutes running tests and checking things over. Won't hesitate to call them back for other service

I called Saturday to see if I could have someone come by and have my AC looked at. They said they could have someone out there between 2-6. I waited until 6 and no one showed up. I called back to see if anyone else’s even on the way and they said they were running behind and to wait until 9 pm. I called around 8:30 pm to see if they could come first thing in the morning. I as told someone would be here from 8-12. I waited all morning and no one showed up. I got a text message the night before that was a confirmation text that read Saturday the 16th. The 16th was a Sunday….. I am very disappointed and will not be using them.

I called and explained that I needed a capacitor replaced. I knew what was wrong with my unit and what was needed. I took a few hvac classes.. It only took the technician 5 min to install.I could understand paying 100 or 200 dollars for an hour labor plus parts, but not 4 to 5 hundred dollars.I tried to purchase the capacitor to do it myself but he wouldn't sell it I was willing to pay 3x the price for it. The part probably only cost 15 dollars, but to charge me 400 is price gouging. I am sure others might charge the same. I only wish I had asked what it cost to install it before he came out.. The phone representative said it would cost 79 dollars for diogonisic if it's not just a tuneup. I know you reduced the price some, butI would appreciated some credit back still. Charging me 400 dollars for 5 minutes of labor isn't right.
The technician was very polite and respectful, explained the process and installation. Had one minor issue that caused the code inspection to be cancelled. Sent another technician out did the repair to get my system up to code now my family and I are enjoying hot showers.

Tech never did any true trouble shooting! Gave me a price of almost $2000 for something I got fixed for less than 500. This was after trying to charge 400 for a $20 capacitor. I do not feel they ever intended to fix my system only FRANCHISE me into buying another system. I would never call again nor would I suggest them unless you want to be pushed into having a comfort advisor come by 2 hours later to sell u a system because the repairs if done by them will cost 4 times more than actual cost.
They did a great job. Our service rep was early and conducted the maintenance very quickly. When he found a few issues he provided a detailed report and gave us options on how we could move forward. He was able to get us a same day appointment for estimates for repairs. We will use them in the future if needed.
My Wife and I were going out of town all day tomorrow, and our AC went out this morning. We didn't want to leave our dogs alone all day in 95 degree weather, so we called RS around noon to see if they could make it out today. They confirmed an appointment for today between 5-9pm. My wife and I thought perfect! Problem solved and went about our business. They just called me at 6:30 saying they won't make it out today. I could of spent the past 6 hours trying to find someone else to come out here if they weren't sure they could, now it's too late to have ANYONE come out. So now we can't take our trip. Thanks RS.

Brian spent many hours to troubleshoot and fixed what the previous repair people (I won't name names but they are big in the area) had broken. Unwired their rewiring and put it back in it's original configuration. Replaced the necessary parts and it now it works great. Great work, friendly engineer, great communication with the boss and on top of all of this the company made special financial allowances in support of the service of a disabled Vietnam veteran. I will forever be an Andrews customer!!!

I just brought the house in October and was told the HVAC probably would need some attention. And three weeks later they were right. I received a quote from another company and just wasn’t sure. What can I say about RS Andrew's. The techs were very professional. They came in and installed my AC unit. They never left until the job was complete and everything was working correctly.
I purchased my AC in 2020 and it was not cooling. I called for service around noon on a Sunday and the tech was at my house by 2:45. Very responsive! Even though it’s the end of summer it is still hot. A hot house can be miserable. The tech(Scott) was professional found the problem and solved it in about a hour. My home is on its way to being cool & comfortable again!

There have been 4 visits in less than two weeks. The lack of response from quality assurance leaves me with no choice but to not recommend this company to anyone. Received an EL01 error code on my ductless hvac. The maintenance tech, Ben, arrived in an extremely timely response. Ben was friendly, respectful and professional. He resolved the issue and left my home in about an hour.
The service technician inspected my unit and noticed some problems that I had and gave me some advice on how to resolve the problem. He was good and showed me the issue.
They came on time. The water heater was replaced quickly. However, the repair man failed to put the drip pan in which is required for water heaters. He also reused old piping from the previous unit. I paid way too much money for anything to be old on this new unit. He also left material from the old and new unit on the floor. Not very much attention to detail. I fear this unit will have issues in the future.

I have had a few minor problems with RS Andrews over the years but I'm also very pleased with their work. In my opinion, one of the best technicians they have is Scott Gaither. RS Andrews installed a new HVAC system for me back in 2017. That system has been virtually maintenance free. I highly recommend their maintenance plan and seasonal heat and A/C Precision Tune-ups (PTUs).

Had a full install. Had to reschedule our original date because they were overbooked. Came for install left insulation all over the house, scratched the new vinyl floor and left a nice hole in my drywall. Left fastener nails on my baby’s changing table. Called to nicely see what they can do to help and they had zero urgency helping me. Still waiting for them to call me to schedule to finish my furnace because they didn’t have the part. But the AC blows cold. Expected much better service for the price charged.
I am so pleased with the customer service at RS Andrews! We utilized their services last year, and a rep called last week to remind me of our annual tune up service. The technician, Brian Fausset, arrived promptly at our scheduled time and was decked out in PPE, which is great because I'm 8 months pregnant! He made me feel super at ease and even offered to help me carry my groceries in the house. Went above & beyond to not only service our AC Unit but build a rapport with me! A great employee at an awesome company. :)

Sales rep said I would not have to pay until job is completed. The were supposed to come back to install the intake valve so I can have the system inspected by the City. Final payment was processed. Talked to sales and QA person who said someone will call to schedule. It is been 8 days and no word yet. Not impressed!Well, they finally resolved the issue but getting there was convoluted. Although the intake vent was sitting on top of the unit, it wasn’t needed. Who knew? Waiting on the City to come inspect today.

Heating/AC thermostat installed on Friday by Saturday had to call company back out to fix. Went out of town and when returned to a message on my phone that there was a shortage in the A/C unitI was not made aware of this on Friday when the gentleman left.Had to make several appointments for the electrician to come out to check on the shortageI tried several times to reach the gentleman that we set the contract with and he never responded to several callsJust not pleased with the events that have taken placeI am sure the finance company wants their money on time.

READ HOLE REVIEW....Nice guy installing work went smooth. They did not inform me that they could not fully install in one day due to needing more parts for the heat that where not avalable (heat strips where not avalable) but that fine its summer. The sheet metal work by the installers was not the best. They squared everything off and filled gaps with spray foam instead of cutting angles and fitting the dog house that covers the vent ducts dicrectly to the previous opening. They screwed the sheet metal through the houses siding instead of useing the cutting the sheet metal to work with the siding opening. They did not know how to make clean sheet metal bend and made a 90 degree bent on the top of the dog house that covers the vent ducting with a hammer (it looked like i did it not a professional installer). There sheet metal cuts where not clean and they attempt to screw sheet metal screws into the concrete base and left sloppy open holes. It will work and last but it's not pretty.......update on 25AUG2023 RS Andrews came out and corrected and fixed everything. If the original installation people would have been the same people who came out today this would be a 5 star. Work is now very clean and very well done. The guys they had out where the nice most professional contractors you would every meet. Over all it took 3 appointment over 3 weeks to install my compleat AC it was working the whole time but the few hours they where changing out the unit. The selling agent said it would be a one day event. The finshed quality of work was very good, but they had to do rework. Good value make sure you check the work. But if you don't like it they will make it right in a reasonable amount of time.

I bought the big two stage setup so it runs nice and quiet or kicks the heat up when I need it by hitting that second stage. They used a Carrier system which has great reviews, opened up my intake to help with the flow, and installed the heat pump out back within a couple of hours. So disappointed. All working employees were very nice and professional. Not so for Management level. After having several issues with install got 0, zero, support from company. None , 0, of my calls were returned, from QA Mgr, to Sales rep, to individual for parts. No booklet was left for the Carrier unit, no filter, etc. I didnt know what size filter to buy. NO ONE would even return my call to tell me. It's as if once they were paid they dropped off the face of the Earth. I am a retired senior who had to struggle with getting the heatpump paid . Quality of install was pitiful. I went 8 days in the heat of July for a faulty part on a brand new unit, which I didnt need; the problem being installer covered up return! For a company this size who advertises how much they care about the customer my experience has, and continues to be a nightmare. Unbelievable. To this day, one month after install, no response to correct my issues other than slipshod jerry rigged bandaids. Words are cheap. Dont believe the expensive ads.
I had the unit replaced in December of 2017. It was fine for the first couple of years. I went to turn it on the 26th of March and noticed it wasn’t blowing hard and the air that was coming out was warm. I called multiple times trying to get someone to come out and told me they would put me in as an “emergency”. Needless to say I never received a call back. My wife called and said they would have someone out in an hour, they called her back an hour and a half later to schedule an appointment.I had another company come out to test the capacitors and look at the unit. The capacitors are fine but there is oil all over the line which they soldered together when they did the install. He pointed out the leak(not from normal wear and tear) to me and the poor craftsmanship on the electrical line going to the unit.However, I got in touch with Brenda and they took care of everything. They made repairs and recharged the system at no cost to me. Great quality assurance department.

Our AC went out and RS Andrews was able to send a tech out the next day, although we had to schedule it a few days later.Other companies was not able to get to us for weeks. Tech was extremely friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and explained everything in great detail.
Called for our 2 units to be serviced as our usual service people had moved .the tec came out and did not clean or service anything. All he talked about was mold and bacteria. I asked if he would clean the coils but couldn't as you can not put fluid in there . The second unit he said was low on freon and the condenser was failing. Could last a week to 2 weeks. Said freon 22 not available for the last ten years. Need to replace unit $11500 with discountCalled several ac people for quotes . Millers came today . Not low on freon, compressor not failing . Capacitor reading 33 instead of 35 so should be replaced before too long. A proper service and repair and should get a couple more years from unit .There is no lower standards than one star unfortunately

We’ve had so many problems with this company, it’s hard to choose where to begin. During installation of our new HVAC system, it was discovered that the furnace was not turning on. The tech tried to tell me this was normal due to the heat outside (thermostat was set higher than the house temp). It turns out it was missing a component! It took several months and multiple phone calls to get them to come back and fix it. After that, it failed the city inspection twice before they finally corrected the duct work and installation discrepancies. We requested a final invoice. Rather than providing one, they turned our account over to a collection agency. Avoid this company at all cost.

Called them to service thermostat after new one was installed hvac specialist refused to acknowledge my concern an tried to tell me everything was wrong with my system when in fact the thermostat was incorrectly set an she proceeded to unhook the wires an failed to reconnect them causeing my system not to work at all I had to hire another Hvac company to correct there mistake charge me $280 for nothing will never used rs Andrews service again

My AC went out and it got to 90 deg in my house. Called about 10 companies, RS Andrews was the only company that’s said, “We’ll be there same day!” Though it took some time, they called me many times to let me know we’re their technician was and then called when they were in their way.Ben Henderson arrived and got to work. Very professional and seemed he was in a happy place and that tells you a lot about the company he works for. I told him I just wanted everything replaced and he wanted to ensure I got my service fees worth of his time…so he got to work. Quickly found the issue (my compressor was shot). He then hopes right on the phone to get the “Comfort” guy out!Mr. Gibbs was at my house within the house checking my whole system to produce a quote. Extremely knowledgeable and explained and showed me how the AC system had work before and even tho it looked good, it wasn’t done right. Previous owners installed a two stage system and my AC unit was a one stage and far too small for my house…stressed it out!Needless to say, he came back with the quote and I said, “where do I sign to get this started?” I feel absolute trust with RS Andrews I didn’t even question the quote because he explained everything I was getting. There was no pressure, no back and forth…the customer support and service was just that amazing.And they appreciate the heck out of the military! OMG!!!! The people at RS Andrews are AWESOME!!! Our A/C went out the end of last summer and people were coming out putting a band-aide on the problem. Justin came out to our home on a Friday looked at the problem informed my husband and I what the issue(s) were and began telling us different options. He was friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. We felt like we had known him forever. He set up an appointment for the next day (Saturday)to have a Consultant come out to give us different A/C options and prices. The consultant was Michael who was also GREAT!!! He was patient with me and my husband providing all the information we needed to purchase a new A/C. We had a thousand questions and Michael answered every single one of them. He got us financed and he was a joy to work with. Monday & Tuesday morning Matt, Patrick and Eric came to our home and they were fabulous!!! They put our new system in; cleaned up behind themselves even when I told Matt I would clean up he told me no he had it. Absolutely amazing!!! Patrick and Eric also took time in showing me and my husband how to work the new system answered ALL questions we had with no hesitation. All of these gentlemen were GREAT!!!! Technician performed routine inspection and he was courteous. This was a third party company that contracts through home depot's home services unit. It was a pretty cheap inspection, but one of the points on the inspection is blower fan. Technician didn't inspect blower unit at all. Also my defrost cycle hasn't been performing well, he looked at ckt board sure enough there were a couple resistors on there that had been heating up and possibly burnt. He quoted me $970 for parts and labor. I ordered the board on amazon for $40. Its not hard to shut off a breaker and slide wires off 1 by 1. i mean its literally a 20 min job if that, but maybe i would have gone for it if it was $150. I understand they have to make $ too and it wouldn't be bad to have a company stand behind their work, but that was ridiculous.
I was very pleased and impressed with the quality of service I received from R S Andrews HVAC Company. From the moment I called about my Hvac system breakdown to the installation of a new system, R S Andrews staff from the receptionist, salesman, to the installation crew was professional and provided excellent service. The receptionist kept trying to get me a same day appointment, seeing thay I had an elderly mother living with me. The salesman went the extra mile to provide me with two window unit air conditioners until I could get a new system installed. That is what I call excellent customer service. RS Andrews installed a 3 ton HVAC unit and did an excellent job. It has been 8 months since the installation and the Carrier HVAC system is working beautifully. It was a one day install and I was pleased with the time that the sales rep, Mike Hage took to explain everything that was involved. He told me what to expect and then detailed the costs. The pricing was fair as I had checked other places and I appreciated the fact he did not pressure me. My old Carrier unit was 25 years old and indeed it was time for an new one! To be honest I would have given this a 5 star review but I felt I did a lot of calling to the office personnel to get the appt for the City inspection after the install. I did not get timely call backs and I sent emails to the office staff with no responses. However after several weeks I was finally able to reach someone and got it set up. Then I ran into an issue when the City Inspector from Chesapeake arrived and then said he needed a taller ladder to get in the attic. So not having the required ladder I called my sales rep Mike Hage. Without delay Mike came by and personally left me a tall ladder so the inspector could get in the attic area. The inspector did state that RS Andrews did an excellent job on the install and everything passed the inspection. I would also like to mention that they installed a NEST thermostat which I really love. I would tell anyone to please get this new technology as it will make a HUGE difference on your heating and cooling bill! Thanks RS Andrews for an install well done and special kudos to Mike Hage!!

Joseph came by today to do a annual tune up/check up on my AC system. His attention to detail, professionalism and actual concern to make sure my system was running as good and as efficient as possible was evident at his every task. He took his time, explained what he was doing and gave me advice on how to keep my system running at peek performance. I have had techs come to my house for seasonal checks for nine years and never before had the level of service been this thorough. This is the kind of employee that makes a companies reputation soar and for good reason.
Purchased heating system on August 172022 and finally system working on October 12 2022. Company is the worst I have ever worked with. no one in company has communication with one another which was told to me even by one of their supervisors.it has been a nightmare to work with this company.l would never recommend any one to use them. We are still waiting for the system to be inspected hoping to get it done before the first snow fall.

They worked many hours and did a great job. The wall thermostat was not getting power so another technician (Duvon) came the next day to trouble shoot the system. He did a great job as well. All team members were professional, polite, and careful with their work. Overall I had a very good experience and will hire this company again. Thank you for your help!
RS Andrews of Tidewater removed an existing hot water heater from my home, and installed a new unit that I purchased from Lowe's. The installation was completed on 9-9-21. I called the company immediately to state that there was no hot water in my home. The water was barely lukewarm. Eventually, a second technician came out and increased the hot water temperature from 125 to 140. I called Lowe's and complained that the unit must be faulty because there was zero hot water. RS Andrews of Tidewater returned to my home on 10-6-21. My family suffered nearly an entire month of boiling water throughout the day to cook, sanitize, clean, and bathe during a PANDEMIC. Three different technicians later, I finally have hot water. It was a simple solution that was resolved by the 3rd technician and he did it in less than 2 minutes. The heating element was set on low! I am frustrated and highly irritated that it took tons of phone calls, to the point of nagging, to resolve an issue that they created on day 1 of installation.

Had a to get a new system due to a control panel breaking. Set date for install, they come late and then tell us it won’t fit and to call in two days so we can get a new estimate. Due to having two toddlers in the house, after having various conversations we were able to convince the company to bring us two air conditioners. Apparently we were not covered by the comfort plan because they could not actually install the unit that day. I then call, manager comes out and says it will fit. Install now installed for 4 days after that (temperatures getting up to 98 during this time). They say it will take one day, it takes two. Which we did not find out until 6pm the first day, so we had to scramble to get off work the next day. They install a new AC unit, however the salesman told me we only needed to flush the refrigerant out of the old unit since it was just two years old and was the biggest unit available. Because of the size of this unit, it effected the other items and bumped up our pricing. I was also told my purchase came with two room sensors. This was not communicated with the service person installing the unit. He tells me that someone will contact me for the city to inspect and to get the sensors to us. No one does, I call in to follow up and management is unavailable. I want to make clear that the service person who did the install was great and very personable. However, this entire process has been miserable and frustrating. Adding to all of that the fee I paid for the tech to come out originally that was supposed to be put toward my total, was not applied.Go with a different company.

My technician was Matthew Wells. He was super quick and got the problem fixed in less than 30 minutes.
The experience was not good. The technician came out to check my A/C unit for leaks and stated there were not any leaks. Then proceed to add four pounds of freon at $216 per lbs or $963.00. Two days later all the freon was out of the system and they sent another technician out. This technician came out to do another leak test but did not have any nitrogen to test for leaks. Therefore he came out to my home for nothing. Had to re schedule again. Finally another technician came out to do the test but did not have to because he visually found the problem. Now this took five days to diagnose the problem. I had RsAndrews install the new unit not even 4 years ago. And now I have to pay $666.00 more dollars to repair the unit. SO REALLY YOU SHOULD HESITATE BEFORE YOU CALL RSAndrews

I received a flyer for HVAC tuneup & this experience has been one (1) of the most pleasant encounters that I’ve had with a company in a while. From the first call to setup the appointment to the actual visit, RS Andrews employees have been some of the best. Dylan, the service technician, was AWESOME! He answered/addressed/explained all my questions/concerns very thoroughly & patently. A true professional, he is a definite asset to the company. I think I will be contacting RS Andrews for future home maintenance work.

I requested a diagnostic and the team member, Shane, was nothing short of extraordinary. He was entirely professional, honest, and incredibly knowledgeable. This company appears to go out of their way to be informative, accurate, and just outright decent.
First time customer and I am very pleased so far. Open, honest and upfront pricing. The technician even told us how we could do some of the work ourselves to save a few dollars. Will definitely use them from now on.

Technician was punctual and very professional. Came out to diagnose smell from HVAC and tested every function and sensor on system. Provided reasonable recommendations and informed me of potential future issues with end of life parts.
Jeff and Lee took care of electrical issue related to AC installation. Very professional and courteous! Excellent work completed and great guys to work with!

Very understanding helped so much stayed as long as they could and got my HVAC up and running in one day and my water heater gave me the phone number to call the shut off my gas cleaned up after themselves amazing group of people they left at 8pm temperature in my house was 76 (72 out side) it is 9:15 pm and it is 70 in my house now

James was very punctual and very knowledgeable. I have had issues with other techs doing the fall checkups. Took me quite awhile to get the problems resolved. I felt I could rely on James to be up front with me on any problems arising but I knew there wouldn't be any. I asked him if he could replace my filters since I don't feel comfortable gwtting on a ladder. He had no problem in doing that for me. There are just a couple of your techs I would allow to work on my unit, since the problems I've had in the past and James would be one I would ask for.

R S Andrews came out and replaced Two AA batteries and I was charged $169.00 . Come on 2 batteries I was told it really should have been $246.00 said he gave me a break but all he gave me was RIP OFF!!! This New AC system is only about 2 years old DLG!!!

I got my central AC and heating replaced due to old age. The installation was supposed to take only one day, however after wiring several components incorrectly or not at all, the process took about 5 days from beginning to end. I was orginally told these problems were going to be addressed the first day after the initial installation and a technician would come out to finish the work, but was then told the following day that they couldn't get someone out for two more days. That was then canceled as well and someone finally came out on the 5th day. At the end of all of that, I was given a rather insignificant refund. The one good thing I can say is that all the technicians were very friendly and personable, and the ones who helped on the final day and fixed the initial installers mistakes were very capable and competent. UPDATE: After I have now run the A/C for only a couple of hours, condensate is now dripping through my ceiling from the attic. Apparently some of the duct work was also not installed properly and seals were not properly put in either. Causing a third technician to have to come out for repairs in less than a week.
I would highly recommend this company.The installer technicians were amazing . Very Professional and about getting the job done and doing it correctly. Answered all my questions. Electricians were Amazing as well. From the very first call to the rep coming to our home I felt comfortable and not pressured. Absolutely horrible service. The man that came out to fix our toilet acted like he wasn’t interested in fixing it at all. He said he didn’t have the part and would have to schedule a time later in the week to come back. My husband got frustrated and told him he couldn’t take time off from work again to be here for him. He then said he’ll call his boss to get permission to go purchase the part and then come right back to fix it. According to him the boss did not give him permission. An hour after he left my husband received an email about the service we received and in that email the serviceman said that my husband cussed and chuckled at him. This is simply not true. I was right here for the whole conversation and never once did my husband cuss or chuckle. It’s a shame this company spends the amount of money they do on marketing and then gave awful , lying , unprofessional servicemen come out and act that way. We will never use this company again and we’ll be telling all of our friends about our experience. This serviceman should be ashamed of himself.

I cannot say enough about the quality service from this place. My Tech was Hope. She was informative as to what her limitations were and promptly rescheduled a better time to resolve the issue. Within 10hrs someone at the office called. Thank you RS Andrews.*Update: So the last tech was unable to fix the issue. She assured me she would escalate the problem and get someone to help the next day. Well next day is here. Received a text that new tech Bruce is on his to fix the problem. (Unit is brand new and has not been truly in use till about 15 days ago. So I really shouldn’t be having any issues). I heard nothing from this new tech. After about 3hrs, I drove to the property and found him in his truck, writing whatever it is that was found. No calls, nothing. He proceeded to let me know that he was unable to fix the unit and that the leaking that was reported by the previous tech was not the issue. A leak was previously reported and he ran out of nitrogen and would not be able to fix the problem tonight. So I asked him if this is customary that they don’t carry extra of whatever is needed to fix an issue such as this!? And can he escalate the issue. He then became very defensive/argumentative that he was just told about this job and did not know what he would’ve found until he gets here. He doesn’t know if the issue would be escalated etc… Which makes no sense to me since someone has already been here and he should’ve been informed about whatever their prognosis was. Please do not send this guy(Bruce) back out to complete this job. It’s one thing to not being able to fix a brand new 10k unit and am having to wait more than two days now to get a fix but I don’t need the attitude of an unpleasant disgruntled employee.
