Best Gas Line in Chesapeake VA

I needed a gas regulator replacement on my meter and this company gave me one quote for $900 the first time then came back a day later and gave me a quote for $1700! I asked them if they could explain the charges or send me an itemization of what was being performed. I knew the part on the high end was about $200, but the labor alone was $1100! This job is quick as I removed the previous one in under 45 mins. I asked why so expensive and the receptionist said it is what it is. I reported this company to the BBB and went with a local competitor who charged me under $800 for thebwhole job. This company is not good and with their attitude and unprofessionalism when I asked questions about the quote was offputting. I would not recommend them to anyone and if I could give 0 stars I would.

We had a pinhole leak in one of our pipes located in our crawlspace. I called another company this past Wednesday, diagnosed the issue when they came in on a Thursday, but could not fix it until Monday because they were booked. I called Ali-cor and the lady over the phone gave me an early schedule for today (Friday). Brandon and Michael arrived early, were very professional, and were very efficient addressing the issue, plus they charged for a very reasonable price. I very highly recommend this company.

This is one of those companies that truly lives up to their reputation! Absolutely amazing service and amazing people working for this company. Today we had Asher come by for our maintenance inspection on our HVAC system. He was professional, personable, detail-oriented, knowledgeable, and genuine. He explained everything so easily and offered us recommendations and feedback on our system. I am beyond impressed with his service today. Asher you are the man! I trust Michael and Sons and they employees are all great, but I’m going to request Asher, he blew me away! Thank you again!

Have had three jobs done in past couple years by A1 -- Corey replaced a toilet flange; Bert installed a kitchen fauct; Zach M. helped diagnose a crawlspace leak from a failing tub faucet assembly and Kyle replaced the assembly the next day, a prompt follow-on performance. All of the work performed has been outstanding. Every plumber has been courteous, thorough, and explained what they've found at each step and possible paths forward. Could not recommend more. Oh, and they have always been on-time.

Be careful of using Lanthorn Plumbing. We used their service twice, and the second time we used them (12/27/21) they had overcharged us, and left the job unfinished, and refused to answer any of our calls.

The customer service over the phone was the worst part of this whole experience.

-Overcharge - In the past the Mechanic had only charged us 85$ for the initial diagnostic and the cost of the parts. This time, we were charged 150$ just to get the mechanic to come and an additional 150$ for a part that only cost 50$, with a total of 300$ just to fix a small leak from the shower facet. We have the Basic model so to Fix shower cartridge shouldn't cost much, you can google the prices and can easily see that we were over charged.

-Did not repair properly - The mechanic replaced the Cartridge but did not install it correctly, we no longer have any leak, but it now only shoots out hot water.

-Bad customer service - Honestly, this whole issue could have been a non-issue had the customer service been respectful! The person who answered our call initially scheduled our follow up repair for 10am and when we called around 12:00 to see what the holdup was, she hung up the phone and cancelled our appointment. They had refused to answer any of our calls, and when we were able to get hold of someone (by using a different phone) they would hang up and cease to answer that number as well.

As it stands, we are 300$ in hole, with a broken shower, and an entire day ruined by rude customer service.

Update for my review. I had this POS company come out 3 times. They are the most incompetent and dishonest company I have ever met in my life. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Check out this picture people. Every technician that came out had a different answer. My picture is the end result. 1000s of dollars in structural damages.Also, they never refunded me from the first 2 incompetent trips, or their so called maintenence program. Total scammers.

Gentlemen and a scholar; let me elaborate. My hot water heater went out so when he came in I explained what had happened, he immediately knew the problem. Wires shorted out inside the tank itself. Instead of sayin in I needed a new hot water heater he fixed it himself saving me probably around $600. Then when it was time to pay, I tried to tip him and refused saying it was about the customers, not the money. I highly reccomend him.

9 days earlier my HSA Warranty company had them contact me to make an appt. for a leaking hot water heater. The earliest appt. they could give me was 9 days later between 1 & 4. That day came and they never showed up, never called to reschedule. Will not recommend.

Joshua and his Minion were FANTASTIC. Easy to talk to explained what he was doing, if you were interested.

Not only was he able to fix the problem, install a new compressor, but he talked, joked and laughed while he was doing it. More technicians need to be able to do what Josh does.

The entire process was painless and I had a good time talking with them.

I would recommend Bud's Plumbing and Heating to anyone that needs work done. Especially if Josh was the one doing the work. And I wish his Minion all the luck in the world as he prepares to take his HVAC License test...

John was great! He got our gas fireplace working at our new home and also educated us about it! I would definitely recommend him and use him again!
