The last thing anyone wants is a sewer backup on any day let alone a Sunday. I made a few calls and the price was outrageous to bring out a jet truck (of course being Sunday), some places didn't even respond. My mothers budget was also an issue as she wasn't prepared to spend thousands of dollars on cleaning her sewer line.
That said, Adru came with an electric snake (at my request) and proceeded to try to get the clog, however we have a catch basin so it's not quite as cut and dry as using a snake (which I had a feeling would be the case as it has been in the past).
Andru was courteous, professional, thorough and concise. After an hour of trying to avoid the jet truck , he communicated to me that we would need the jet truck. He made a call and within 30 minutes a jet truck was outside, not only that but they put a camera in the sewer line to accurately see what they were getting into. Something a previous drain cleaning company that we had used never did (if they did it would have been an extra charge). Andru and Andy worked together communicating the entire time and cleared the catch basin with ease.
If you have to have an experience with a sewage backup, this is the company to call.
Everything they did was included in the price given, all the while communicating to me effectively what they were doing, showing me the camera in the line to showing me the end result which was a very large tree root that came out of the system.
I work for a plumbing company so I am familiar with others that do this type of work. This company impressed me enough to write a review which is not something I normally do.
I will be recommending Drain Stars before any other company based on their responsiveness, professionalism and sensitivity to our financial situation, they were not out to take advantage of the situation we were in, they were in it to do the job the right way. The price of the job was more than reasonable for the time and effort that was put into cleaning the catch basin. Others would have charge double what they did for the amount of time they were here on a Sunday and in the rain!
In these uncertain times, which for me is important as my mother is on oxygen and hasn't had any outsiders in her home. This was an unavoidable situation that we needed to resolve, they both wore masks and gloves and understood though she was paying the invoice, the communicating had to go through me. I felt comfortable around them given they took the precautions that one would expect at this time.
If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. Great job and much appreciated!!

They are very good with scheduling appointments & the worker's get to your home, analyzes & figures out your systems problem easily. They're good.

Great overall experience! Great communication by technician and receptionist. Arrived on time to disconnect the gas stove hook up. Technician wore booties and was very clean and conscientious of the floors and counters. Very professional and fair price!

They show up on time, do a decent job, for the price they state.

While not inexpensive, they are fairly priced and stand by their work. We've had them do simple pipe repairs, hot water heater replacement, and fairly complex gas pipe relocation that involved fussy work due to a joist being in the wrong place.

All work done well with no return visits required.
