Best Sink Install in Boston MA

I called for a neighbor whose main drain clogged on the last day of the year. They sent over a technician who didn't know how to open the main drain pipe...and said they'd send someone more expert two days later!
A total contrast to prior experiences, which is why I nonetheless gave 2* - but for this visit, not even deserving of one.

I've used CTW Plumbing and Heating for the last several years, and I can't recommend them highly enough. Their estimates are competitively priced, their workmanship is top-notch, they're responsive, and I can always count on them in a pinch. I've had them out to replace faucets, a water heater, and heating blower motor, and each time they arrived when they said they would and performed quality work. I'm grateful to have plumbers I can trust!

Poor review because plumber agreed to come out after I explained the scope of work, agreed to his additional fees. Today I got a call from someone at his office to say the plumber changed his mind and was no longer able to take the scope of work. It was a simple submeter install. Wasted time. Plumber was going to charge me $1,000 to file for a permit and make sure job passed inspection (on top of the cost to come out and actually quote me, and on top of the cost of repair) - terms I agreed to. After making the appointment I called the next day and confirmed I wanted them to come out and said I didn't care what the quote was and asked them to just come do the job and I'd pay whatever the cost is. He said the job would be done sometime next week. I stopped calling other places. My issue is time sensitive. Don't use them if your issue is time sensitive, now need to begin the process again.

I reached out to Frank after receiving a quote from another plumber. He was so helpful, quick to respond, came to assess, explained his assessment to me and offered a couple of options to repair vs replace, water was running and the other plumber had said it couldn’t be fixed for 3 days, Frank replaced the toilet the next morning and for the price the other plumber was going to repair it for. I really appreciated his helpful communication, transparency and his appreciation of stopping the running of water so I wasn’t wasting water and money for multiple days. Thank you!

Huge thank you to Tony! The sewer backed up in the toilet and shower. I called Drain Flow and Tony was at my house within an hour. Tony and another plumber quickly got to work, explained and showed me the problem, removed blockage and completely cleaned up. Very nice, professional and reasonably priced. Tony is officially my new plumber.

My usual plumbing contractor recommended Drain Stars to clear a difficult clog that I couldn't reach with a 20' snake. They called back quickly, scheduled an appointment within hours, arrived right on time, assessed the situation, and took care of the problem. Andy and his associate were polite, clean, and efficient. I'll use them again, and I'd highly recommend their service.

A simple annual maintenance call on a fully functional system, half of which was installed by them the year before: $172 for parts (includes 60 for refrigerant) plus 2.5 hours (!) at $120/hour for a total of $472. Overpriced?
