Best Hvac Repair in Boston MA

I hired CTW Plumbing and Heating to figure out why my basement was getting warm in the middle of the night. After determining that the basement heat was being controlled by the thermostat on another floor, they separated the basement heat into a new zone with separate thermostat and serviced our boiler. They communicated well, worked efficiently, and their work beautifully fit in with my existing systems. I will be sure to call them for any future plumbing work and recommend that you do too!

Anthony and team are quick to respond, professional, and reliable! They've helped me out on several occasions, including: unclogging a deeply clogged kitchen sink and replacing a 1920s toilet with a modern toilet (in a space contained space and with a funky water line). I was pleasantly surprised with my experience with Advantage III. I called on a Monday morning, they picked up right away and were very friendly. I was able to get an appointment the next day to look at a water leak I was having in the basement. The plumbers came and identified and fixed the issue within an hour and a half and they were very nice and seemed to be very knowledgeable. Would recommend!

Winters was the 4th plumbing company I called for a leaking pipe in my basement. The first company I left a message, but no return. The second told me they would come after 3 o'clock Saturday (it was Friday when I called) but never came. The third (it's now Monday) told me they did not service my area but recommended Winters, which sent Jamie, which was great!!!Winters not only got back to me, they scheduled a two hour window the next day (Tuesday) between 10 and 12. They called earlier Tuesday asking if it would be okay if Jamie arrived earlier than planned which was music to my ears because of the leaking pipe. They also texted me with a photo of Jamie so I would recognize him when he showed up wearing the Winters logo on his jacket. Jamie gave me an estimate which was fair and reasonable for what he had to do. I am very pleased with the work and the service was nothing short of stellar.

Rob took the time to assess the best way to connect my new mini-split system to my electric service, and then proceeded to efficiently perform the work with his colleague, Taylor. Because all the breaker positions were already filled, I thought I'd have to have a supplemental box installed, which would have added time and cost. Rob had been supplied with photographs of the electrical service, and reviewed them prior to coming here. He suspected, and then confirmed, that even though the panel appeared to be completely full, my box was able to accommodate the new circuit due to the foresight of the electrician who originally installed the electric service more than 10 years ago. All in all, a positive experience working with this company.

Tony from Boston Plumbing was prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable about the issue, and he provided a thorough explanation of the steps he would take to fix our shower and faucet. Rate was very reasonable, and he was trustworthy, both of which are becoming rare in the service indusTony.

They take advantage of you if you are in a fix. My water heater broke and called them to replace it on a Saturday. They came replaced the heater took the old one back.
GE Water heater with same warranty (6 yrs) costs $425 in Home depot. They charged my tenant $2250 plus $ 375 for coming on Saturday.
When confronted I was told that they used better water heater which costs $1100. That means I was still charged $1400 for installation ($350 an hour )
He agreed to refund me the overcharged amount and sent me a Big check of $100. Which was promptly returned to him.
Isn't it day time robbery ? Never use them if you don't want to be robbed.

After a few bad experiences, I stopped using them. They take forever and are always trying to charge for unnecessary work. I'm ok with being ripped off a little bit - all workmen do that - but these guys take it to another level.

Total sham. He tried to charge me $6800 to replace my AC (less than 10 years old) entirely and charged me $250 for him to diagnosis that, while he was only here for about 30 minutes. Another guy is fixing it for $2400. He also undoubtedly made my AC problem worse while he was diagnosing it. It ran before he was here, and it completely stopped after he left. I'm assuming to cause some urgency in this summer heat and just have my blindly agree to his $6800.

Given your previous reviews, please take the time to consider your answers. They definitely come off the wrong way and aren't inviting or welcoming. I understand it can be frustrating to get forwarded a job request on a quote but customers are still interested on any estimate they get. I thought it was me reading the tone a certain way by your response, but after seeing your reviews there is a pattern. Why start with 'We don't do cheap projects' ... and then suggesting what I can look up online' understand that perhaps that is exactly what the customer is doing ( due diligence) and doesn't need suggestions on how they sort through estimates. All you have to do is provide the quote, and feel confident on what your company provides. Please take the time to consider approaching yelp inquiries differently.
