Caleb Whelden and company from CTW plumbing were employed to service and maintain the heating and air conditioning units at a residence of mine for over a years' time. They consistently had difficulty arranging to complete jobs in a reasonable time frame, and often made mistakes, some relatively minor and merely forgetful (such as forgetting to replace caps on refrigerant lines), other mistakes much for irresponsible and dangerous. Caleb Whelden easily became defensive. He was not conscientious about taking responsibility for the problems and inconveniences caused by his actions. An incredible amount of time and money could have been saved if another maintenance team was hired earlier on.

Great service my water heater had decided to die on me and flood my basement and of course it was on a holiday weekend i tried to get 3 other Co.'s to come out and help me with my poorly timed dilemma yiannis was the only one who was willing to come right over to help he had it replaced in no time and i even had him back after the holidays to service my hvac system.

All 5 star reviews for a reason; Frank is knowledgeable, professional, and an all around nice guy. 18 hours after calling (on a Sunday night), I have a new water heater installed, up and running. I also used Gomes to fix my HVAC unit over the summer, and received the same great service then.

Called regarding a gas connection for a new dryer. The service was done quickly. I had some follow-up questions and the owner was very quick to help. I will gladly use again.

Anthony was very quick to respond and was very communicative about how and when he could fit me in his schedule. This was a non-emergency situation, disconnecting the gas line from a broken clothes dryer and connecting the new dryer to the gas line. He kept me up-to-date on his arrival time and got the work done quickly, cleanly, and well. He had been recommended to me by 2 coworkers who have used his services for years; I would also highly recommend.

I recommend these guys 100%. When I call Joe the owner or the secretary that’s the beginning of my plumbing problems being resolved….every time!

On time, professional, knew what they were doing, and left my house cleaner than it was when they arrived. They even helped my neighbor out of a tough spot, out of kindness. Total sham. He tried to charge me $6800 to replace my AC (less than 10 years old) entirely and charged me $250 for him to diagnosis that, while he was only here for about 30 minutes. Another guy is fixing it for $2400. He also undoubtedly made my AC problem worse while he was diagnosing it. It ran before he was here, and it completely stopped after he left. I'm assuming to cause some urgency in this summer heat and just have my blindly agree to his $6800.

We recently moved into a new home, and Akian has been incredibly helpful as we work out the kinks in the new place, which has some eccentric plumbing and heat. John S. figured out what was going when we couldn't get heat or hot water in parts of the house, and he really seemed to know his stuff. When the ancient central air system died in May, Akian saved us again—big thank-you's to Phil O., who diagnosed the issue and offered options for repair, and to Zach L. and the rest of the team who installed the new system *in the middle of a June heat wave* in our boiling hot attic. Despite the conditions, they were steady, efficient, and personable, and when there turned out to be a manufacturing issue with the unit they installed, they swapped it out for a new one the same day. When the AC acted up again (not Akian's fault—it was an issue with the original drain in our attic) Zach came back and fixed the drain on a Sunday night.My experience with Akian is that they always quote you lots of options, including work you may not feel the need to have done right away, and if you're like me, you may want to get second opinions to figure out the best course of action. A couple of times, I've opted not to go ahead with smaller jobs or replacements that an Akian technician suggested, but I've never, ever been given a hard sell or felt any kind of pressure. Other times, quotes from other services have been comparable in price and the type of service recommended. Everyone at Akian, from the technicians to the office staff, has been courteous and helpful, and I couldn't be happier with the quality of work.

Prompt, same-day service from a highly knowledgeable professional (John) who explained everything, every step of the way (plus what it would cost to do one thing versus another). I’ve used this company several times now and have been very impressed each and every time (after years of not being able to find a decent, responsive, consistent HVAC service and installation company). Very pleased!

Thanks to this service, I was able to get a next-day appointment, which was awesome. I wasn't sure if I just had a clog or if there was a more serious problem when water began to back up into my bathtub. When Jacob Royal came to help, he was friendly and chatty. After he quickly fixed the problem, he even cleaned my bathtub! I would hire this company again and highly recommend Jacob if I ever needed their services again.

I have been using Barrell for years. It's a great plumbing company and I highly recommend them. They come when you need them, their prices are good and they have an excellent workforce. We recently had a major issue that had me in tears. Long story short, we had to replace our main sewer line. Joe Barrell personally came out to examine the issue. A work plan was put in place and carried out in a timely and efficient manner, including coordination with the excavation company they work with. Communication was excellent throughout and they made an extremely stressful and disruptive process much more bearable. They did the work in stages which allowed my tenants and I to continue using water, flushing, etc. Rusty, the man who replaced my pipe, was wonderful as was Joe. I will always be a customer.
