Caleb Whelden and company from CTW plumbing were employed to service and maintain the heating and air conditioning units at a residence of mine for over a years' time. They consistently had difficulty arranging to complete jobs in a reasonable time frame, and often made mistakes, some relatively minor and merely forgetful (such as forgetting to replace caps on refrigerant lines), other mistakes much for irresponsible and dangerous. Caleb Whelden easily became defensive. He was not conscientious about taking responsibility for the problems and inconveniences caused by his actions. An incredible amount of time and money could have been saved if another maintenance team was hired earlier on.

Great service my water heater had decided to die on me and flood my basement and of course it was on a holiday weekend i tried to get 3 other Co.'s to come out and help me with my poorly timed dilemma yiannis was the only one who was willing to come right over to help he had it replaced in no time and i even had him back after the holidays to service my hvac system.

Frank and his team were excellent. In short, tried to fix problem myself and caused shower valve to spray water in walls and forced to turn water off. Frank came quickly within an hour and determined was small valve piece that needed to be replaced. He then drove to Watertown and back (Dorchester) to get piece (happened to be a rare unique brand), quickly installed and fixed my mess. Was very good, professional and super reasonable, will def use again! Thank you Frank!

Made an appointment for Wednesday. Received a call from the technician in the morning saying he was on his way. When he arrived introduced himself and then we looked at my issue. He then gave me several options on what he could do and the price for each option. After deciding on what option was best for me he finished the job in a timely matter and fixed my problem. Was very pleased with the service and if I have any future issues I will more than likely use them again

Last Monday, my water heater started leaking at 3:30AM. I reached out to Tony(the owner). I sent him the information on my water heater. Tony, and his crew were at my door by 8:30 with a new one. By 10, I was back in business with hot water.

I’ve hired them for different projects,and they’ve always delivered. I’ve also recommended them to several friends, and neighbors. They’ve all been thrilled with their service.

I recommend these guys 100%. When I call Joe the owner or the secretary that’s the beginning of my plumbing problems being resolved….every time!

I had an issue with my central AC system and after calling a number of HVAC service providers, I chose Pann due to their stellar Google reviews. WARNING: Check out Yelp. Their pricing is highway robbery. The only reason I'm not giving 1 star is because they waived the dispatch fee after they incorrectly sent a plumber the first time around. Errol the technician quoted me $1600 for a follow-up leak search. $1600 for 3 hours of work to determine whether or not there was a leak! When I asked how he got to that quote, he was perplexed. He didn't make any sense. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

We had Maury Ortega come this week to help plug an old main line and he was amazing! He was very nice, professional, and got the job done quickly. He was able and happy to explain everything to me so I understood the issue and how to fix it. He had to run out and grab a part, but did so in under 30 minutes and was back promptly to get the job done. I appreciated his help and would definitely request him in the future!Also, I'd like to add that I had an overall positive experience with setting up this appointment with Winters Home Services. We needed someone asap and they were able to send someone over quickly and within the week. Would recommend!

Our contractors rectified it quickly after Justina provided us a fair quotation. They responded to all of my questions and were generally quite helpful. swift to act and exact in their execution. I will never longer contact the plumbers suggested by my home warranty anytime I have a plumbing issue; instead, I will use The Boston Plumber. The project was a nightmare before Justina and his crew intervened and made everything right.

Barrell Plumbing installed a 2 mini-split system providing air conditioning as well as heat. We were impressed with how they were able to start and finish the work earlier than they originally quoted.

Their workers, plus an outside electrical crew they hired to perform the electrical work, were professional and efficient, especially how they cleaned up after themselves upon leaving.

The units have performed above our expectations, especially after experiencing several weeks of hot, humid weather. Now that cooler weather is here, the units provide excellent heat very quickly.

We are very satisfied with Barrell Plumbing and would certainly recommend them.

Tech Phil O is kind, knowledgeable, savvy and spoke highly of his experience with Akian Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning. However, I am compelled to report to future customers that although I appreciated the new customer discount & happily agreed to pay the dispatch fee upon Phil's immediate arrival, I would have appreciated knowing up front of their existing company policy that excludes my R-22 cooling system. New customers beware: After paying the upfront dispatch fee, the Akian tech will not disclose anything until you pay more. In my case, after already looking at the air-handler in the attic to determine what system I had, I was then asked to pay an additional fee to continue. I would have appreciated if Phil was upfront with me about their policy before collecting another fee. I should not have been asked to pay the fee before telling me they will not repair my system anyway. ($99 + $199 - $50 = a 248 dollar waste of time & money - not to mention a bad business model) I did appreciate, though, Phil replaced a leaky valve in the system. Thank you. DAWFollowing-up here: Akian did the right thing & refunded me the $248 with a sincere apologies & they will adopt a new “up-front” policy moving forward.Thank You Tara. Respectfully, DAW

Given your previous reviews, please take the time to consider your answers. They definitely come off the wrong way and aren't inviting or welcoming. I understand it can be frustrating to get forwarded a job request on a quote but customers are still interested on any estimate they get. I thought it was me reading the tone a certain way by your response, but after seeing your reviews there is a pattern. Why start with 'We don't do cheap projects' ... and then suggesting what I can look up online' understand that perhaps that is exactly what the customer is doing ( due diligence) and doesn't need suggestions on how they sort through estimates. All you have to do is provide the quote, and feel confident on what your company provides. Please take the time to consider approaching yelp inquiries differently.
