As a real estate agent it is important to be able to recommend vendors of all types that I can count on to do the job for my client. This company has not only exceeded all my expectations for my clients, but done so in a timely and professional way. Cannot recommend them highly enough!

Great service my water heater had decided to die on me and flood my basement and of course it was on a holiday weekend i tried to get 3 other Co.'s to come out and help me with my poorly timed dilemma yiannis was the only one who was willing to come right over to help he had it replaced in no time and i even had him back after the holidays to service my hvac system.

Frank came and took care of the job in an efficient manner. Friendly and upfront. He explain what needed to be done. He really went the extra mile to bail me out after I had an awful experience with another company. I highly recommend using Gomes. I will certainly be using them for any future needs and I am keep their number saved in my phone.

Power Plumbing was really responsive via text! They came within a week for a non-emergency shower fix and dryer vent cleaning. Helped me identify part I needed which I was able to order ahead of their arrival. They did the job well, but ultimately overcharged me. Good quality work though

Anthony was very quick to respond and was very communicative about how and when he could fit me in his schedule. This was a non-emergency situation, disconnecting the gas line from a broken clothes dryer and connecting the new dryer to the gas line. He kept me up-to-date on his arrival time and got the work done quickly, cleanly, and well. He had been recommended to me by 2 coworkers who have used his services for years; I would also highly recommend.

I was pleasantly surprised with my experience with Advantage III. I called on a Monday morning, they picked up right away and were very friendly. I was able to get an appointment the next day to look at a water leak I was having in the basement. The plumbers came and identified and fixed the issue within an hour and a half and they were very nice and seemed to be very knowledgeable. Would recommend!

Summary: Not only tried to rip us off for a job, they actually LIED and INVENTED a problem that was blatantly non-existent to try to fleece us out of more than $700.

Story...

I called about a shower that was not giving hot water. They charged a $69 visit/diagnostic fee, which is a lot and does not apply to the actual job, but I accepted it. After coming by, they said I need to schedule a water mains shutoff to the house (I live in one of three units) because they couldn't just turn off water to the shower itself, and that I needed to order a new shower valve online for them to replace next time for an installation fee of $460. Again I thought it was pricey but reasonable...

Before they left I asked them about a bathroom faucet that had low cold water pressure. They said they'll take a look, and pretended to attempt to turn off the valves under the sink to shut off the water. Then, they said that those valves were corroded, couldn't be turned, and need replacement. Without being able to shut off the water they'd again have to wait until the water mains shutoff. They however, strongly recommended me to replace those valves in addition to fixing the faucet problem next time. Total quoted cost: ~$700

NOW I was a little suspicious. My bathroom plumbing isn't that old, and given that the only thing they did during this $70 visit was attempting to rotate those valves under the sink, I decided to see myself just how stuck they were. To my utter surprise, both valves turned smooth as butter, easily closing and opening all the way under the force of merely two fingers. And what's more, after opening one of the valves just one extra turn, the water pressure problems was immediately resolved. Total time and cost for someone with zero plumbing experience to fix: 1 minute and $0

Having quickly fixed something that was quoted $700 by a seasoned professional, I figured that as a naturally gifted plumber I should delve into the shower problem myself. Of course there was still that pesky problem of shutting off the water mains. Fortunately, after unscrewing the face plate from the faucet handle (30 seconds of work which they did NOT bother to do during the diagnostic visit btw, I wonder why), I found not one but two valves that can shut off both hot and cold water to the shower! Who could have known! And, after following some youtube instructions that took about 10 minutes and a single wrench, I can finally take a hot shower again! Total time and cost? 20 minutes and $0 (well, except for the valve that they told me to buy online which turned out to be totally unneeded. But I'll be returning that...)

They were able to respond quick and replace our hot water tank within a day. The technician, Brian, did a great job explaining the work. He was both friendly and knowledgeable. We have worked with Winters before and trust their work. They are professional and do not try and up sale.

Jay was helpful, knowledgeable, cheerful and very professional. He even showed me some cost saving things I could do to keep my air conditioning unit in top condition. The only reason I did not give the visit 5 stars is because the office did not keep me informed about his arrival time. My appointment was 9-12 and he did not arrive until late afternoon, leaving me home waiting for the entire day. Things happen and scheduling is hard but I do think they could have done a much better job letting me know along the way. This is not a good time of the year for a company doing HVAC work to be understaffed. I do not think it was his fault. He gave me as much time as my equipment needed despite the lateness of the day and was totally pleasant.

Among other things, I replaced all of the plumbing in the house. The project has a considerable scope. His work is visually stunning, and his cleanup is impeccable. I have nothing but positive things to say about this. Though I'd like to think I'll never need plumbing services again, I'll already know who to call.

Terrible customer service. Overpriced

We have used Barrell multiple times on our 100-year old home and always had excellent service. The Barrell team installed a new condensing boiler, extended our heating system, and most recently fully renovated a bathroom. In each case the work with does the highest possible standard and the team was courteous, highly competent, and fully prepared.

I called Alpha Omega to replace my Navient Combi Boiler. Sam responded right away and was able to arrive the same day! He was so helpful and very fast in the way he worked. His price was way better than the other two companies I tried before so I saved alot of money and frustration. Definitely will use this company again. Thank you!

We used Akian to check our furnace that was not working. Orlando was very helpful and diagnosed the problem.

Given your previous reviews, please take the time to consider your answers. They definitely come off the wrong way and aren't inviting or welcoming. I understand it can be frustrating to get forwarded a job request on a quote but customers are still interested on any estimate they get. I thought it was me reading the tone a certain way by your response, but after seeing your reviews there is a pattern. Why start with 'We don't do cheap projects' ... and then suggesting what I can look up online' understand that perhaps that is exactly what the customer is doing ( due diligence) and doesn't need suggestions on how they sort through estimates. All you have to do is provide the quote, and feel confident on what your company provides. Please take the time to consider approaching yelp inquiries differently.
