Super nice guy! Had low water pressure at the outside hose spigot. Turns out the valve inside wasn’t open (doh on my end!). Took the time to walk me through some of the pipping routing and details as we just moved in and the house is close to 100 years old. Super helpful and great to converse with. I’m always nervous finding good contractors but happy to find a great local plumber for future needs!

Terrible. The overweight plumber from DH Stevens hung around my house for 5 hours to install two faucets, then charged me $800. Total rip off.

Called On-Call tech at 6am to take care of emergency plumbing, and the tech immediately responded. The On-Call tech showed up within minutes of my location in Virginia. The Tech was even mindful to take his shoes off before entering the space! The tech took care of the issue by locating the shut off valve, which I would have never found, turned off the water which had been running for hours to avoid any flooding issues. The Tech provided courteous service and was very professional in resolving the issue which included providing any parts to complete the task. Frederick was great! He fixed a Navien tankless water heater issue that had flummoxed two other plumbers. Next, he fixed the HVAC wiring to our Nest thermostat which one other electrician and one Nest technician could not figure out. In short, in one afternoon he fixed issues that four other professionals could not. If you have a Navien issue, call Charles & Sons first. If you want a problem solver ask for Frederick.

I called Plumber in DC this morning after the tenants in our basement apartment informed us that their toilet was blocked up. Plumber in DC told us that a plumber would be dispatched within an hour or two if we would pay a $200 emergency fee. We agreed to the fee. Two hours later, Plumber in DC texted that it had accidentally doubled booked our plumber and that we would have to wait another two hours for him to complete another job before he could come do ours. I texted back and asked if I would still have to pay the emergency fee since we were not be treated as an emergency. Plumber in DC then called me and berated me over the phone, angrily telling me in a loud voice that, yes, we would still have to pay the fee and that I needed to remember that the customer is not always right. And that is a quote. He literally would not let me get a word in edgewise, yelling at me over the phone while my family sat around me listening and absolutely stunned by his behavior.

Were it not for our tenants, we would have cancelled the appointment right then and there and used the bathroom at our local McDonald's for the evening while we looked for another plumber. But we would not do that to our tenants. So we tolerated the behavior and did not cancel.

When the plumber arrived, he was from a company in Fredericksburg, Virginia -- 50 miles and more than an hour from DC. He told us it would cost $550 on top of the $200 emergency fee before he would even begin to snake the pipe. Again, at this point we had little choice but to agree. The plumber worked for about 1.5 hours, charged us $750, and told us afterwards that while the blockage was clear for now he couldn't guarantee the work because he wasn't sure if he'd actually fixed the problem.

So we are out $750 for 1.5 hours of work with no guarantee.

In sum, consumers should be aware that Plumber in DC is not a DC plumbing company -- it is a dispatching operation for plumbers all over the region. It is also very expensive, incredibly rude to its clients, and does not guarantee its work. Never again.

This business has been a life saver for me and relatives to whom I have referred A H Jordan. They are reasonable, always professional and competent. Never have I had to re-hire another to complete or finish a job where I have called Jordan.

I just want to give you all another thumbs up for all plumbing inc. They were $30 more than the cheapest guy but appeared to be the most reliable. They were clean, polite, showed up on time and quick. Can't say enough about it. Super impressed!

I am writing to acknowledge the stellar professionalism and service provided by Richard Rivera yesterday. Richard started by asking me what my concerns were and to describe what the issue(s) were. He did an especially thorough job of explaining what he would be doing and answered all of my questions. His assistant John was engaged in completing the job and helped to explain the process of using the camera and the locator. I had the sense over the 3 hours they were here that they treated the job as if it were their house.
