We used this company because our water heater wasn't working well and we only had cold water at our hair salon. The company came out, said they 'repaired' the unit and did a flush on both units, charged us $1400 and left. A week later the same issue happened, so I called and they said they would come between 1-5pm on 12/30. I waited and waited until 5:15, I called and they said oh sorry the technician is still busy we can come Tuesday. First, I never received a call or text that they weren't coming until I called them. Very unprofessional. Then I said please I will stay after hours we are a salon and we are very busy for New Year's Eve as you can imagine. The call center rep said she would call the manager and have him call me. No call, no email. nothing. I had to get another company to come, pay $400 for after hours. The technician showed me pictures of the unit and what Cherry Blossom did. They left the cover of the heater completely off, the sensors had been disconnected and left that way, the pipes were no longer insulated and just copper filled with water all over dripping. He said they DEFINITELY didn't fix anything obviously and they left it a mess. I HIGHLY do not recommend this company.

Proficient: removed the 20 yr old kitchen faucet and replaced the new one in less time than projected. After the work was completed Bernard thoroughly cleaned the work area.

Cherry Blossom Plumbing came out today on a confirmed project in VA with full knowledge that a permit was required at this particular building. Before starting any work my Project Manager asked about the pending permit, he was told to call the office and did so. It was then he was informed they could not manage to get a permit at this time and that their plumber should leave the premises immediately.
My PM called back and asked to speak to the owner (family owned) he was told “they are not readily available” REALLY??? In any case he waited and was eventually hung up on.
This is extremely unprofessional and left us in a frustrating predicament with the owner, the building staff and the entire group of residences that had their water shut off for this.

I cannot say enough good things about this company. I highly recommend!!! Friendly staff and came on time.

Second time using these guys so figured I’d drop a review.

First experience was the week of thanksgiving when a water line started leaking in the ceiling of my kitchen. Called Cherry Blossom and they sent John out the next day. He was able to diagnose and offer a couple of options for repair. Once we decided on which way to proceed John came back the next day to do the install. He was able to get me back up and running for thanksgiving on short notice!

Second time around the kitchen sink was backing up. Called up cherry blossom who sent out a tech the next day again. This time around the service tech was unable to fix my issue, though it was evident he did not have the experience level that John did. The tech was unable to clear my line and ended up charging me for extra time because he was struggling with the repair - didn’t make sense to me that the cost was passed on to me for that. I called Cherry blossom later dissatisfied with my experience - I was confident my issue was not complicated and required a simple to fix (I am a contractor as well and am usually able to diagnose these things before calling in for service). The next day they sent John out. John did exactly what I asked the first tech to do (for some reason the first guy ended up doing his own thing which is ultimately why it was unsuccessful). John was able to clear my line in about an hour and then helped get my drain tied back in. Both times cherry blossom has offered prompt response time, and John is knowledgeable and good to work with. He’s good about offering a couple options to help mitigate cost as well. I do recommend these guys - and if you call, ask for John.

One Thursday morning, I awoke with very low water pressure. I called a plumber who came out and could not diagnose the problem.

I then called Cherry Blossom and they sent John to me. To call John my hero is an understatement. His knowledge shined through as he quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. The entire time, he had a smile on his face. He explained the problem to me and offered me multiple solutions.

My experience with John was so great that I will never call anyone besides Cherry Blossom again.

My toilet broke today and wouldn't flush. I didn't know what to do , I only have one toilet. I called a couple of plumbers , who said they would come out, but since it was towards the end of the day, I would be charged after hour fees. I decided to call one more plumbing company, which was Cherry Blossom. MY PRAYERS WERE ANSWERED!

Jorge did a great job diagnosing our issue and explaining everything to us. He arrived very quickly after we called and was friendly and professional throughout the job.

George and Sean were prompt and friendly and provided excellent service removing a clog from our main sewer line. Job was done thoroughly and cleanly. On a rainy day they came prepared with coverings for shoes and left no trace there ever was a problem. Walked me through possible approaches to resolve the issue and helped me settle on the best option. Can’t recommend them enough.

When we found ourselves with a malfunctioning dishwasher and water coming into our basement, Cherry Blossom was the only plumber who was able to get to us on the same day. The scheduler I spoke to, Amber, was helpful and sympathetic on the phone and John, our technician, immediately found the problem, talked me through it, and presented multiple solutions for our consideration. Giving them our business was a no-brainer and they will be our first call next time!

Charley and Johnny came out on a Friday afternoon to fix our clog. They stayed late and worked extra beyond just cleaning out the clog. The house is only one year old and they did extra work to determine that there was a problem with the original plumbing. These guys were great.

I am going to say this. I am a real person, not a fake. I had a problem in a pipe over my TV room. I was really in need of an urgent severe leak repair. This company and Johnny acted fast, came fast, organized. I called them a Friday morning and at 2 pm they came. All my water was shut off, and was a mess. These people really did a good job, repaired the problem and I could take a shower on Friday night!! And the price of the work was acceptable, not thieves!!

I ABSOLUTELY encourage you to use Cherry Blossom Plumbing for any plumbing need that you have. I've had low water pressure in an upstairs bathroom for nearly a year. I called Cherry Blossom on a Monday, and they were here on Thursday morning. Very responsive and helpful! John was our technician, and he was excellent in every way. He arrived on time, was pleasant and knowledgeable, and made sure we knew exactly what he was going to do and how much it was going to cost. He told us it would take about an hour to flush our water heater and blow down each of the faucets in the house (6 of them), and he was done in 50 minutes. We have a dog and a cat and John was great being around both of them. I would hire Cherry Blossom again without hesitation (and would ask for John too)!

We had a great experience with Casteel Plumbing, which I understand may be changing its name shortly to Cherry Blossom Plumbing. We had 3 different jobs — repairing a kitchen faucet that was leaking, a bathroom faucet that was leaking, and an above counter bowl sink that was leaking. These were not cookie cutter jobs because required special parts from the manufacturer and follow-up. Johnny was terrific, came out several times and patiently worked through the issues with a nice personal touch and came up with good solutions. The prices were reasonable and service was good. I highly recommend.

John came out the SAME DAY and took care of our backed up kitchen sink, which had been backing up into the dishwasher and dripping down into the basement. He was quick and professional, and fixed the issue! Will definitely call Cherry Blossom for future plumbing needs!

My basement toilet was slowly leaking along the floor line. When John arrived, he explained the likely problem. He also explained possible, less-likely, scenarios he might find. He was upfront about pricing and was friendly and professional throughout the visit. He identified and addressed a pressure issue in the house as well. I appreciated that John took time to explain his work, observations, and recommendations. I was very satisfied and would definitely call Cherry Blossom Plumbing in the future.

Update, had a conversation with the company they said it was a big misunderstanding and they reimbursed part of my money. So they did attempt to rectify the situation.

I had a sewer backup in my basement and the plumber referred by my home warranty company could not figure it out. So based on the ratings I contacted Cherry Blossom. The tech came out snake the line for over $800. But told me I needed to either have my lines hydro jetted or replaced. He quoted $3,000 for the hydrojet and $30,000 for the replacement. I asked for something in writing and never got it. So I reached out to All American who did the hydrojetting for $1,000. While this did work for a few weeks I ultimately did have to replace the lines. However the other companies I contacted all gave me quotes of $10,000 or less, and had no problems putting things in writing. I ended up using Interstate and within two days they were able to replace the outside lines.
I realize other people have had good experiences with this company but I wasted over $800 using them and it could have been a lot more.

Great experience, highly recommend. Reasonably priced. Replaced an ejector pump for my basement bathroom. Professional and cleaned everything up very well.

A gentleman by name of Jorge came to my house to help repair my water heater. He was very knowledgeable and helpful, making me understand the process of how it was getting fixed. He was very reliable and on time. If I need a plumber again, I will definitely call him as he helped tremendously and made this process very seamless.

The technician, John, arrived on time and evaluated the problem - our water heater was no longer functional. John removed the old unit and installed a new, comparable, unit. The job took about three hours, which is what had been predicted. At all time John was courteous and informative. He left the premises neat & clean

Awesome service. Sean was personable and a good conversationalist. After expressing concern for the price of removing clog and telling him the estimate I got from different company, he worked with me to get lower price by calling the office to find out how low they can go. Came back with a lower price and got the service done. Notified me I could get this reimbursed by building possibly since clog was in the main line so he will compile a detailed report. I know who to call if I ever have plumbing issue again!

Edit: I requested to be emailed the invoice about 3 times and all times did not receive it. Neither main nor spam folder. Asked to be mailed the invoice and after a week still nothing. Very questionable customer service. Plus, the plumber apparently knew the clog was in the main line so he was supposed to stop since that's the responsibility of the building not me but he did it anyways and said the building should reimburse me. In reality, he was supposed to stop based on protocol and I needed to call the building so they can solve the issue. Now I have to not only get the invoice, which I'm having trouble with, but also have to go through the hassle of emailing building manager the invoice and explanation of situation. Even then it's not guaranteed that I will be reimbursed so this whole situation has been very unpleasant although the initial stages were pleasant so gonna have to knock my whole experience down to 3 stars.

Edit 2: after posting the first edit someone in the company must have seen it and I was finally emailed the invoice. Good to see they pay attention.

Gouging! Their prices are outrageous I handed out a $89.00!trip/estimate charge only to find out. I would have given this company no stars!
I called around and found another plumbing company, no estimate/trip charge, arrived at the scheduled time, did the repair professionally for less than half of what Johnny quoted. Hard to find honest good service companies!! Luckily there are still a few goods ones out there!

Repaired Hot water heater

Best plumbing company in the DMV area!!! I recently purchased a condo in Arlington, and while I did have a home inspection, checking anything outside of Is the water coming out the faucet? was not part of it. So you can imagine my shock and panic when I began to have plumbing issues 3 days into my occupancy. I found Casteel Plumbing through a recommendation of a friend and Johnny was able to come in that same day. He showed me where my pipes, explained exactly what was going on and how he was going to fix it, and then did just that! Johnny replaced the chain connecting the flapper in my toilet; tightened the handle on my shower; AND identified a couple of other items that will need fixing in the future! I will certainly call Johnny if anything breaks, but also to complete my bathroom renovation a few years down the line!

John came by to help de clog our two toilets. he was very professional and knowledgeable, and the price was reasonable for the time and parts required.

My kitchen faucet and disposal were disconnected due to some kitchen work and I needed someone to come connect them quickly. I contacted Casteel Plumbing late in the evening and Johnny was able to come the following evening to take a look for an estimate. My job was simple enough that he could fix everything on the spot! He also figured out why my dishwasher never looked right. He adjusted the feet and fixed a bracket and it looks great now!

Johnny did beautiful work and took great efforts not to track in anything from the outside and keep us safe from COVID. I appreciate the use of ProPress fittings for copper lines over soldering the joints like in the old days. He got the job done fairly quickly, but never acted rushed. Cherry Blossom also has a longer warranty than most plumbers I've used (3 years).

The price I paid is almost double the quote I got for the same work three years ago from another company, but with supply chain issues and labor in short supply, I was happy to just get the work done on the first shot after having a hard time even getting a call back from other services. I am sure their price would be much higher today at the place that did the original estimate. I did not call them because their best plumber retired and I had problems with one of their other guys.

Work performed was replacing the main water line shutoff on a 1960s home that was leaking a bit.

I can't say enough how awesome the service I received from Cherry Blossom Plumbing today. I discovered a leak under my kitchen sink and searched online for a plumbing company with all the normal fears. I reached out to Cherry Blossom Plumbing finally after reading some reviews and looking at their website. When I called they were very reasonably priced for a service call and available to come out within a few hours. The person over the phone was very friendly and helpful (didn't get your name but thank you). The licensed service expert, superhero plumber and awesome guy JP, was absolutely beyond amazing. He is very knowledgeable and didn't mind answering my questions (and I asked a lot). He was straightforward, friendly and honest about the repair. I definitely will be using them again without question or a second thought. I can't thank them enough for being available immediately and sending JP (aka superhero plumber) out. Highly recommend JP and Cherry Blossom Plumbing for friendliness, reasonable prices, quality, quick service and integrity. Thank you so much.

I called this company because I needed a faucet replaced in a rental unit. I own three properties and I’ve had faucets replaced before. Cherry Blossom actually assisted with a plumbing issue before which is why I contacted them. I asked before they came out about how much it would be and was told they can’t say until a technician comes out. Upon arrival they tell my tenant it will be $599 to replace although I provided the faucet!! They said there was a $100 coupon so they could lower to $499. I am furious as I would never pay that and they wasted everyone’s time. Shame on this company for trying to overcharge for services.

Casteel Plumbing was extremely responsive at a very difficult time. They kept me informed throughout the day prior to their arrival and provided a written estimate on the spot. The repairs were accomplished quickly, and everyone I dealt with was friendly and professional throughout. I highly recommend them.

John did a great job responding to our emergency plumbing situation. Based on his exceptional work, we elected to add on services and covert a second bathroom from a three-handle to single handle shower-tub. He was able to quickly accomodate our project in the schedule ahead of family coming into town. Now the bathroom has modern fixtures, drain flows well, and overall looks great!
