Best Water Heater Maintenance in San Francisco CA

Called a plumber out to help me figure out where the leak was. Turns out two of the toilets were running when I was out of town. The techs solution was to replace the parts 2k or replace the toilets 4K and was pushing me to replace the toilets because who knows other parts might fail and I’ll have to replace the toilet in a month anyways. The 4 k price includes 2 toilets plus install and takeaway. I asked them how many hours this would take and what’s their hourly charge and material costs. And his response was we charge by job. I told them to email me the estimate which they never did. And when he left I went on Home Depot’s website and they charge 20 dollars for the parts to replace, 100-300 dollars for the toilet and Home Depot will install each toilet for 315 each. So even if I did go the route of two new toilets plus install and take away that’s still $1200. 4K for that same job is highway robbery. And I get it plumbers will often charge 4x more for an emergency call but this wasn’t an emergency call issue since I already had called the water department to turn off the water and had the water turned off at the main. And when I found out it was those two toilets I had turned off the water to those bathrooms. So there was no emergency and they weren’t offering to do it same day to fix my problem.

These people are either crooks or the tech gets paid hourly and was just killing time giving me an outrageous number while sitting in his van pretending to write up an estimate he never sent me. Because he had me wait a good 20 minuets before his estimate was “ready” to talk about.

Terrific service. Nice young man who explained everything he was going to do and the total cost. I expected it to take a while but he was able to unclog the drain very quickly. Very happy and satisfied with the service

This is my first time ever leaving a review. I am so thankful for One Sources help at 4:30 am I had to share it. I woke to water coming from the kitchen upstairs through the lights in my downstairs bathroom. A pipe malfunctioned on the dishwasher and was flowing onto the kitchen floor and then flooding the kitchen. I frantically called 4 plumbers who said 24hr service but it turns out they just have an answering service and I was told someone would get back to me. No one did. The 5th company was One Source and he talked me through how to shut off the water which turns out to be pretty easy if you know where to look. I wasn't charged anything and it was just a very nice decent thing to do for someone at that ungodly hour in the morning. Thank you, Thank you!!

Isaac and his team have been super helpful. We had several emergency plumbing needs and they called us back quickly and set up a time to meet.
They gave clear feedback on each repair assessment, so that as propertymanagement? I could understand what was going on at my site. The youth on our site even approached me with compliments on how cool and Kind the guys were, which is important because a lot of times plumbing matters can be a little embarrassing. Jake and the team helped replace a commercial water heater. They beat everyone else's price and completed the job quickly. There was some follow up work after installation which they responded to quickly. O'Grady should be on the short list for plumbing vendors.

Jose from George Salet came out to our home and cleared our drains. He was professional (wore PPE), friendly and most of all knowledgeable. He asked great questions to deduce the reason for the problem. Quickly identified the area of focus. It took some time to get through the hair clog, but he took care of it. Afterwards he thoroughly checked each drain to make sure all systems were working. Including adding stress to all the drains at the same time and they all worked fine. He was also very clean! He closed doors behind him and left not a single trace that he had been here Well, except for the fact that all our drains work now!! Thank You!! Best part, the price was right! Fair and not overinflated. So important in this time of inflation.

I can't say enough about what a great job Angelo and his crew from Discount Plumbing did with our rental home in Oakland. Angelo called me right away to set up a next day estimate. He and his crew were on time and very thorough. originally, it look like it was going to a straight forward trenchless project and Angelos's quote came in well below several other bids.

Angelo and the crew got to work on time the next day and we were lucky enough to get the once in a blue moon plumbing disaster. A city tree had a root that grew into the line and ran over 52 feet to the house from street. Angelo called me right away and kept myself and my up-to-date with multiple messages as our simple trenchless project turned into a massive multiple trench sewer excavation. After seeing the extensive work that had to be performed it was an incredible relief when Angelo gave us the additional expense from the original quote which was incredibly reasonable. At this point we were at his mercy and I felt that he made sure that he didn't take advantage of the situation. In this day I think this type of honesty is hard to come by and it almost brought me to tears.

Angelo and his crew worked long hours for two days on our little sewer project and they we so professional. The kept the area as clean as possible and communicated clearly with my neighbors, my renter and myself. Angelo was so extremely helpful and positive even as the project got bigger and bigger.

Economy Plumbing is the Best!!

About 70% of the sewer pipes that run from the street into the homes in San Francisco are over 100 years old and are made of clay. Economy Plumbing has been in business in San Francisco for over 30 years, so they have replaced a ton of old sewer pipes in their time.

I hired Economy Plumbing because our neighbor's sewer pipe backed up and flooded part of their downstairs and subsequently, they hired the company to replace their 100+ year-old broken clay sewer pipe.

Daniel Griffin who is president of the company was extremely professional. He recommended that I have my sewer pipe scoped with a small camera to find out if it was modern or original (about $200). A few days later, they looked scoped the pipe and could see that the pipe was badly broken, so I hired Economy Plumbing on the spot to replace the my old sewer pipe asap.

A sewer line replacement, takes a few days to do. They send out a small team that includes a plumber/manager and guys to do the dirty work. They take out a section of the sidewalk, dig down to the old pipe, replace the old pipe with a new one and have a city inspector come out to sign off on the work. The total amount of time you are without the use of your toilet is only a few hours.

Plumbing issues are never any fun to deal with, but I am very glad I did this before and not after my home had flooded too. The team at Economy Plumbing are total pros!
