A couple weeks ago on Saturday night my toilet tank was constantly running, I contacted R&L, I god a response so quickly and the plumber arrived in less then an hour, he fixed my problem and gave me a recommendation.
I would definitely use R&L again

I use R&L for all major plumbing in my 3 high rise buildings and some residential work. They are knowledgeable professional clean and respectful. R&L has completed many large projects in my commercial portfolio along with minor plumbing service calls. They are my preferred vendor for any and all plumbing jobs.

I had a fantastic experience. I had been told by East Bay MUD that my water usage had increased and that it appeared that there might be a leak on my property. I called R&L to request a diagnosis of the problem. A very meticulous manager checked for leaks and told me that one toilet needed repair. They sent a very competent and courteous plumber the next day, who made the repairs promptly and professionally. I will definitely use them again if I have plumbing problems.

It's Christmas Day, and I called various plumbing companies, all of which did not answer or return my phone calls. I was fortunate enough when I called Larry of R&L plumbing he answered right away! He was able to get a plumber to my mothers residence within the hour and helped us prevent water damage from a continuous leak coming from the toilet shut off valve. As a home owner I definitely recommend R&L plumbing.

This is a 5 start company! As a property manager I have used many plumbers but Larry and his crew are the fastest response team I have EVER called upon. Who else would respond within seconds on a late rainy Sunday night and take care of the problem within the hour!? No call center to deal with. Each call goes directly to the owner first or one of the team members so no time is wasted through bureaucratic B.S.! Thank you Larry!

Working with R&L Plumbing was a horrible experience. I requested a flat fee for installing two toilets which was provided to me and agreed upon by both parties (in writing). I requested this fee to be flat to avoid any issues with billing down the road.

Halfway through the job, the company tried to charge me much more because it was taking his technician longer than he wanted it to. On top of only half finishing the job, they installed a scratched toilet seat (which they're making right, thank you!). To date, the company has refused to settle on a final number for payment despite me making concessions and coming up from the quoted number we agreed prior to the job starting. He's hung up on me and refused to take phone calls to discuss.

He didn't install the second toilet because I wasn't comfortable having them come back into my home after how they've treated me on the phone and via text message. He's threatening to take this to small claims court and put a lien on my house even though I'm trying to come to a payment number both parties can agree on. This company is not professional, I recommend staying away at all costs. He's unfortunately not an honest business person who sticks to written agreements.

I had a leaking sink which I needed immediate help with. I called R&L and instead of coming over he asked me to describe the problem and was able to help me fix the problem immediately over the phone. Friendly, honest, extremely competent and fast. I would highly recommend R&L to anyone.

They were very professional. They were also timely and the cost was more than fair. All along the way they checked in if they thought i needed to know or understand something. They also fixed another problem they did not come for but saw it as pertinent to the whole picture.these guys are the first time i have not felt ripped off or like I had to do a crash YouTube course in my plumbing problem. I was also able to ask whatever questions I had. I will be using them for all my plumbing need. How refreshing is honesty and availability at the same time.

If you want to save money, save time, and have peace of mind, then R&L Plumbing is the way to go! I know absolutely nothing about buying a water heater and the installation process. I contacted Saul and told him I wanted the installation to be quick, easy, and efficient and he (and the plumbers) were able to deliver on all of those. Saul even took the time out of his day to meet me at the appliance store and choose the water heater I would need. Not only that, he DELIVERED it to my house instead of me having to pay the appliance store a delivery fee.

When the plumbers got to my home, they were very friendly and courteous. They explained a little bit of how the water heater works, what to expect and what not to expect. After installation , They checked EVERY SINGLE faucet, sink, toilet, water hose, etc. to make sure the water heater was working.

I got a follow up call from Saul shortly after they left to make sure everything went smoothly. I couldn't be more happier with the level of service and professionalism I experienced with R&L. I will definitely use R&L in the future for all my household needs!

Replaced the equipment in toilet tank. Good job but very expensive for 1/2 hour of work.

After trying to fix my toilet unsuccessfully, I had to call In the professionals. German and his coworker from R and L plumbing arrived quickly and found out the problem with the leaking toilet right away. They repaired the toilet and left the area very clean. I will definitely use them in the future if needed. Five stars!

Drain cleaning was prompt and successful. I was a little surprised that the technician didn’t have more tools with him, only a 20 foot snake.

I used to deal with R&L plumbing when I worked in a property management company in SF. Larry (the owner) and all the R&L staff are awesome, they are fast, very professionnal and results are here! Absolutely no problems in all the work they did!

I was very, very grateful they came out for a same day appointment for a shower valve replacement. Water was running non stop all of a sudden, and the faucet would not turn off. Larry was very helpful in guiding me through whether a building water shutoff was needed and how to find out the kind of part needed.
Carmen was helpful in explaining how billing would work and when I had questions about the tech tracker status and tech arrival. Mario was extremely skilled as he was able to remove the escutcheon that was stubbornly rusted to the wall. He accomplished the replacement in under an hour which minimized the negative impact of the duration of water shutoff and hot water unavailability for 100+ units in my complex. He also explained the testing done afterwards. Thank you!!!

Just got off the phone with Larry; I needed a bathroom faucet to be repaired. I dabble with small repairs myself, but I got to the point where I was unable to solve a problem of low flow. After a very brief conversation, Larry told me over the phone exactly what was going on, and what I needed to do to fix it. His first instinct was NOT to monetize his expertise, but to be helpful. He even asked me to send him some photographs of the faucet and continued to give me the benefit of his experiece. I may or may not be able to solve the problem, but I know that his advice was spot on! In future if I or my family ever need his help he will be our trusted go-to service. Thank you Larry!

This is the second time with in a month that I have called R & L with an emergency, and the second time the problem has been fixed quickly, correctly, and with professionalism. I am thrilled to highly recommend R & L for commercial building problems.

My father is 97 years old and lives mostly independently in his own Condo. His kitchen faucet blew up unexpectedly. Last time he had a plumbing issue, it took me almost a week to get anybody out to look at it. I knew that someone else in my Dad's building was having plumbing work done = R&L. I looked them up on the internet, called them and explained our situation, noting that they would already have somebody in the building working on another unit. They were very responsive, very helpful and very professional. They were also very communicative throughout the process - which is important when your Dad is 97. The faucet was replaced and fixed within hours. What a great customer service experience I had!

Pete, the plumber, diagnosed my problem right away. He repaired the leak, double checked that it didn’t leak anymore and cleaned up the area afterwards. This is the second time I’ve used R& L plumbing with satisfaction.

Super responsive. Available to come to our house within 1.5 hours of fairly urgent request (otherwise would have had to keep the water completely off in the house) on a weekday night. Communicated well throughout the whole process from telephone contact, to inspection, to repair. Thankful for a low-stress interaction as I was also mitigating a 5-year-old’s meltdown at the same time.

Nice, friendly, up front. Worthy of trust. I called in the morning, was scheduled with a plumber in just another 15 minutes, and plumber showed up, followed my buildings instructions for getting through the building key codes in just another hour, as advertised. Friendly, informative plumber carefully unpacked the area around my sink, and did various repairs, explaining what he was doing and what the likelihood that it would recur in the future would be. Also suggested ways to avoid this problem.

Fernando was on time and diagnosed and repaired right away. Highly recommended!

I had my tenant call for a repair to our garbage disposal. Repairman came and fixed the problem, however, the problem was not fixed correctly. A second repairman came out and fixed it, we hope properly this time. However, we got charged twice for the repair. After contacting the office and being told a manager would call to address the second charge, no call ever came. The second charge is now being disputed with the bank.

***Finally received a call back. Money will be refunded for the second visit. Thank you R&L

I've found my plumbing company. I manage a few San Francisco properties and have used several different plumbing companies. Never fully satisfied with the quality of the work or professionalism. However, R&L Plumbing has exceeded my expectations for the past three years and they are my go-to plumbing company when I need a quick fix or extensive work.. They are always responsive and punctual to appointments. They do quality work and their customer service is excellent. There is a reason why the biggest property managers and owners use them- they are at a different level in comparison to the competition.

I had a horrible experience with this plumbing company. They had to come twice to fix my food disposal in less than a month and it so happens that they charged me twice $331 for each time. I’ve lived at my apartment for quite a while and never had any issues with my garbage disposal. Sounds like an easy fix. I’ve requested to have a manager call me to ask why I’m being charged twice without my authorization and they have not reached out to me. Plumber did not fix the issue on the first visit. It’s very frustrating to get someone on the phone that say that a manager will call me and they never do. It’s gotten to the point that I’ve had to contact my bank to dispute the charge. Very unprofessional.

The two service techs Gustavo and Evelio were true professionals. They honed in on the issue of our water pressure and trouble shot it immediately. Cleaned out the pipes and perfectly installed our new faucet. We had hot water with great pressure in no time. The time before this, Gustavo came out with Mike and he was also great. Knowledgeable and super friendly. My 2 yr old son loved him. All of the guys were respectful and clearly knew what they were doing. Great plumbers that get the customer service aspect.

Their service technician, Robert, went above and beyond with a very difficult emergency job. On a Saturday. Job took 4 hours and he refused to accept a tip. His boss, Larry, was equally responsive, calling and texting with instructions beforehand to drain the leaking water heater before Robert arrived. We felt we were in good hands every step of the way.

I was able to get an appointment quickly. The service person was prompt and diligent. He was persistent in resolving our problem.

I called R&L to get them to fix my garbage disposal and, instead, they walked me through how to do it myself, right on the phone. To save me money! Who does that? So friendly and honest and professional.

Pete from R & L Plumbing came out at night for a leak detection call. He was not only professional and knowledgeable but he was down to earth and reassuring. I will be calling R & L for my plumbing needs in the future.

We finally found an honest, fair & above all, professional plumbing company to service our rental units.
Recommended from an industry acquaintance, we contacted R&L in the early evening. Surprisingly, the representative not only answered the phone in a professional manner, but provided an honest consultation on the necessity to come out that night vs. the next morning when parts would be readily available; in other words, rather than take advantage of the situation to send a plumber out that night and charging an after-hours rate, the dispatcher assessed the situation as being a non-emergency, and then recommended a next day service.
Like clockwork, the representative followed up the next morning, and set up a time to come out directly with our tenant. We even received a text with the photo, name and contact info of the specific plumber that was on his way to the job site.
After the job was completed to everyone's satisfaction, Larry (the owner) even followed up with a text to make sure we were satisfied with the work. Needless to say, this type of customer service is not only rare these days, but it speaks volumes as to what sets R&L apart from others.
Above all, the estimate for the job, prices charged, and complete process from beginning to end was always transparent, and professionally managed with a personal touch. Highly recommended!!!

Had a sump pump issue at one of our rental apartments. Phillip and Louis arrived on time, and went above and beyond to take care of the issue promptly!!

Life savers! On a Sunday, no less, we got excellent, speedy service. Huge thanks. I would highly recommend them.

R&L was able to respond to us on a Sunday night with both a quote and a helpful solution that we could try ourselves. We tried the fix but it did not work and requested a quote from R&L. The quote was fair and as soon as we verbally accepted they had a plumber to us in less than an hour. I spoke with a few different people but they were all courteous and always tried to find a do it yourself solution without going for a money grab. Would definitely recommend

The experience was nothing short of a nightmare. In a small 2 story building they were called to come in to change a small 5 gallon water heater on the 2nd floor that leaking downstairs, something that just about 5 years ago I did myself for only the cost of $150 for the water heater. I was busy and couldn't do it myself so I called R&L Plumbing, which at first they said it will cost $199 for them to come out and if I give them the job it will be applied towards the total cost of repair. Few hours later they sent a plumber with some else to diagnose the problem. Since I knew exactly what was wrong they didn't really have to spend more than 5 minutes to look at the situation and offer to change the small water heater for $450 including labor and the cost of the heater, which I agreed to pay. It took them about 3 hours to remove the water heater and they said sorry we'll have to come back tomorrow because if we stay the charge will be after hours charge and the cost will be significantly higher. Since this was on Friday evening they scheduled to return on Monday afternoon. This time they showed up in 3 trucks and six so called plumbers to install a small 5 gallon water heater and in addition to the initial $199 they charged my credit card $2550 for the lead plumber and his assistants. I will never use this company and would not recommend them to anyone.

Worse experience I have had dealing with a plumbing service.. My sink was stopped up ..I still have not seen the bill for the parts I was charged for...The door under the sink was left broken. The owner kept telling me how great he is...Did not explain the bill..nor the bill .I never received a print out after the work was done or from the shop where he got the parts. Found out by looking on my card. Worst company to hire.

Amazing service!!!

I do not write reviews at all but on this occasion It was a must. I installed a new shower valve at my mother's house. After turning on the water back on I discovered that the hot water to all the faucets did not work. I goggles the situation a d tried several option to no avail. I placed the call for the plumber. I was amazed that they took the time to troubleshoot the problem. Amazingly the issue was a bad valve to the water heater. I was able to replace it myself. I will always call R & L plumbing service for future service. Very honest. Do not hesitate to call them. Thank you guys very much.

I had an urgent situation on Friday with bath faucet stripped. My wife was ill so we needed the bath. Called several plumbing companies who could not respond until Monday. They responded within an hour, fixed the problem, cleaned up. All for $99. I am replacing our building plumbing company with this company.

Toilet clogs suck. So I decided to reach out to Larry, the owner of R&L Plumbing and surprisingly they were able to schedule an appointment within 2 hours even though they were busy due to all the leakage and drainage issues that the bomb cyclone caused. Doug was the plumber who came and he was able to unclog my toilet immediately but he also checked my other toilets, sinks, and showers for any other clogging. He unclogged one of my sinks and replaced the flushing units for another toilet. He was professional and friendly. If you ever need a prompt and knowledgeable plumber, R&L plumbing is the way to go. Big shouts out to Larry, Doug, and Carmen for your 5 star service.

I dont know why our water heaters always break on the weekend, or a holiday, but they do. But not a problem - found the garage flooded at around 9:00 last Saturday & had a new water heater by 5:00, thanks to R&L.

Been doing business with R & L since Larry was the plumber on call. This time, it was a Saturday, and Larry answered! I like a “hands on” business owner, even when the company has grown to 50 employees. It’s an efficient operation. I was driving in San Francisco and the driver of this truck was driving erratically cutting everybody off and Jumping traffic lines then the driver flipped me off. his truck number was 15 .
