diverter valve on faucet for shower/tub not working properly. After testing the faucet, repairman pulled the center stem of Pfister unit. I had a complete replacement unit and repairman pulled the diverter stem and used it to replace the one in the tub. Entire process took 10 minutes.

I can't remember the name of the young man who came over. He arrived on time, was conscientious about wearing booties and mask, and was respective of the tenant's personal property in the unit. I had a slow running drain at an Edwardian rental building. He was proactive in seeking the best means to snake the pipe. A plumber I used a few years ago just drilled a hole through the pipe!. He got the job done within a half an hour. I will use Ace again.

Ace has done two repair jobs in my building and both were done efficiently and with absolute professionalism. They installed a new regulator for our water main and repaired and replaced aging pipes beneath the kitchen sink.

Kyle is awesome and very patient and did a good job.The only thing is that he opened the wall behind the toilet only to find out the shower water connection is enclosed with a metal and inaccessible..That left me to fix the wall myself and do some patching,painting.He could’ve been perfect .I gave him 8/10 where 10 is perfect.

We had to replace a sewer line and connection in our four-unit condominium because the connection was broken and the discharge was leaking directly into the ground. We also had a sloping problem where the line wasn’t angling down into the city’s sewer, so backup was a danger.

Carlos and the Ace crew came out with a camera to explain the problem and the needed repairs. They gave us an estimate that seemed very reasonable (reasonable is the best you can expect; plumbing is never cheap). It involved breaking up half a dozen squares of concrete on our sidewalk and digging down 5 feet to reach the pipe and replace it.

Ace said it was a day job, but in reality it took two full days because of the clay they had to dig through. To my relief, this didn’t change the cost of the estimate.

They installed a new sewer line and connection, and it easily passed inspection. Within days they replaced the dirt they dug up and installed new concrete squares on the sidewalk.

The crew was very polite and professional, a pleasure to work with. They kept us informed of their progress and the complications of the job.

I highly recommend Ace and will use them for future plumbing problems, which hopefully won’t be for a while.

Tyler came out and checked for a leak in the wall that was obvious. The leak was coming from the Fire Sprinkler system and was leaking from the unit above. He is not licensed to work on the system so he gave me the contact info of Company who could. Problem solved, Thank you Tyler and Ace Plumbing.

I work in property management Ace Plumbing & Rooter (particularly Sean and his team) are my go-to resource for everything plumbing. We use them frequently for rooter work and have used them for sewer lateral repairs and replacement in the past. Good people all around, know their stuff with fair pricing. Ace Plumbing & Joel saved me $30,000!!! I recently bought a house with plumbing issues. 2 different plumbing companies said my lateral sewer was shot and needed to be completely replaced and rerouted. I live on a hill with over 100' of pipe to the sewer main. Ace was able to scope the pipe, verify the pipe is in great condition the whole way down, except for one spot early on that has tree root intrusions. I'm able to spot repair one spot and it's $30k less than the previously quoted replace and reroute. I am forever grateful to them!!!! Also, Joel was extremely helpful and friendly. He explained everything clearly to me and gave me a video file of the scope showing the pipe is all in good condition. It's good to find an honest company!

Ace Plumbing was great to work with for replacing an old water heater. They were responsive, timely, professional and at a fair price from scheduling the appointment to completion which took one day. Jim, the plumber, was very professional and communicated what the issues were and what needed to be completed. The price was very reasonable and came in exactly what quoted.

My kitchen sink had been draining slowly and then not draining at all. I thought my garbage disposal needed to be replace. I wasn’t sure what the problem was but was expecting the worse. I called Ace Plumbing and they were able to get someone out same day. Turned out that the problem was due to a p-trap under the sink that needed to be cleaned out. It’s was a simple fix!!
Everything is back to normal!! I’ve had to call Ace Plumbing a couple times this year and they have never disappointed. I’ve had different plumbers from their company come out to my home and each time and each time received the same great service. They are professional and take care of what needs to be done to fix the problem at hand. They communicate and explain what they are going to do before they start to work and upfront with the cost of the service. Can’t ask for anymore than that. They are my go to plumber!!!

On recommendations of a neighbor, I called Ace for a blocked sewer and they were fast in responding. After ~90 minutes of snaking the rep declared my lines were blocked with roots and would need a significantly larger investment to solve. This seemed odd, as there had been no blockage issues prior to this, and main line to street had been replaced in recent years. I declined his offer to credit my current spend (which had made no progress on the blockage) towards this significantly larger estimate, and subsequently called another independent plumber. The other plumber addressed the blockage. I would not recommend Ace.

I had a great experience with Ace Plumbing! The owner, Jonathan, contacted me directly about a sewer pipe that was clogged due to Ace's equipment failure from a prior job. I scheduled the work and after the pipe was clogged and repaired, I spoke directly to Jonathan about who was at fault and whether we had to pay or not. I meet with Eugenio and he gave me an estimate on the toilet install. My current toilet was a really old toilet from the 80s and he explained the estimate to install a new one thoroughly. After agreeing to the estimate. he came back in an hour and installed the toilet. He even changed my faucet aerator for no additional cost. I would recommend Eugenio again.

We had our old Edwardian house's sewer lateral line to the SF City main collapse with sewage pooling in our garage with each flush. We had an inspection appointment within 2 hours, contract cost was as expected, contract was signed that afternoon, and the crew showed up the next day to begin work. Unexpected/uniquely uncommon extra work was required and the change order was reasonable. Extra team personnel were added to the work to finish within the 3-day original estimate. All work was performed in the highest quality, including the sidewalk removal and replacement. Special attention was paid to the pedestrian traffic around our disruption. Only a few times in my life have I seen a construction team work so well as a unit helping each other to expedite quality and time. Field Construction Manager Franco Casasola had an outstanding team, and they have our highest regards for their sensitive coordination with us during this critical repair. Contacted ACE via Yelp late on a Saturday morning for a non-urgent repair. Customer service team responded to me with 30 minute (a huge surprise for me on a weekend). After a brief chat, free in home inspection was scheduled for me the following day (A Sunday!).

The team was very straightforward and respectful. Helped me to understand the problem they identified and walked me though their proposed solution.

The very next day, the installation team was out to replace the toilet, and address other items as discussed. They arrived within the estimate time window, worked efficiently and professionally. The job was completed same day.

Early Saturday morning I realized I had no hot water. I went into the garage to see our 9 year old water heater leaking profusely. We've used Ace in the past for a disposal issue so I called them again. They accommodated my schedule and came that day. They worked all afternoon and into the night finding the perfect water heater replacement and installing it securely. They came out on short notice on a Friday afternoon to fix a water pipe leak in our office. They were friendly, responsive and efficient in finding and then fixing the source of the leak.

If I could, I would give negative stars. Ace is unprofessional, unorganized and overpriced. They did a poor job, and the owner was rude and condescending. Will never use again.

Mitchell is wonderful. I had called for a very rusted sewer pipe inside the house. He replaced the wax ring in the toilet above. He then went further and inspected another pipe under the garage and had a camera brought in to look inside the pipe found I had not 1, but 2 bellies and possible collapsed area in the main sewer pipe. Although, I wasn't expecting that extensive of work when I called, I am grateful that he did find it before it became an emergency repair.
The full repairs are not yet complete, but I am very happy that my nextdoor neighbor recommended Ace. I will be happy to write another/additional review once everything has been completed.

We called ACE after the city notified us that we had an invisible leak, which turned out to be under the sidewalk in front of our house. They came out quickly and gave us a detailed breakdown of just what our options were, with a particular eye to staying on the good side of San Francisco's entertaining permit and inspection process.

When the concrete came up and the inevitable surprises were found, ACE kept us in the loop and handled things without drama -- and without exploding their estimate.

It was a good value. Ace was really fast in replacing the faucet and repaired the toilet. All completed within an hour.

Second time using this service. I asked for Russ by name and he rocked it as we expected.

Had a midnight emergency. Called 5 other 24/7 places and was told earliest anyone could come out was 8am even after I explained that I had medical issues that couldn't wait that long. Ace dispatch answered and had tech available. 10 minutes after calling JH called and explained the cost before coming over, and 30 minutes later he was at the apartment. He was professional and fixed the clog quickly and took the time to explain what needed to be fixed for the future so I can pass the info on to the owner (Airbnb). I really appreciate the quick response and when they say they are 24/7 they actually are 24/7.

We came home from work to discover the u pipe under the kitchen sink had broken and was leaking water everywhere. I called Ace at 6:30PM and they had Kyle the plumber arrive by 7:15PM. He replaced the pipe and had us back to normal in 20-minutes. Amazing service. Very happy.

They do a great job! Kenner arrived right on time, and unclogged my toilet in a matter of minutes. I had tried everything prior, but to no avail. Kenner was able to do it efficiently and quickly, while being highly professional and with good cheer. I highly recommend Ace Plumbing.

Jammed Kitchenaid garbage disposal - the Ace gentlemen figured it out in about two seconds - in ten seconds, it was done. Great job. Ace has now installed all the plumbing in our place and it has always been perfect.

It was Sunday when I called and I was worried that no one would be available to replace my aging and leaking water heater. Then when I called, in less that 5 minutes they were able to locate someone who can do it who was nearby. Service was very stimulating with useful information on what are my options and the job was done in no time. I would highly recommend them to my network of friends who are homeowners.

What was most important was the person assigned was super competent in serving special folks like me. He used the right pronouns and was so professional and respectful!

AP&R was the first Service I called for a main water line replacement. My scheduled appt was a week away so I called two other plumbing companies since we had a huge water leak that really could not wait. The first two estimates seems shady with a single figure cost written on a Service tag. We are glad we waited for Ace Plumbing. Mo from AP&R was very professional and provided a reasonable written detailed proposal and immediate start date due to our emergency situation. Clear communication, friendly folks, and good follow up to verify work was done correctly. Joel was very detailed and did a great job in both cutting and replacing the sidewalk concrete after the main line replacement.

Yup I am that typical single gal who can't figure our the male or female connectors. I tried to put in a new showerhead with my friend's help on the phone. After a few attempts, I gave up on the phone and watching youtube. I googled and found Ace Plumbing and Rooter in SF. I was grateful I got an appointment on Sunday at 5pm! Evidently they are open 7 days a week! A young guy came out and hooked up the shower within 5 minutes! Thank you Ace Plumbing and Rooter!!

Overall the final output for a medium to large project was good and the price was fair. However, there were communication issues. After I decided to use ACE and called to secure their services, I would not receive a call back. After the third attempt, I finally had to call the office supervisor and then my call was returned. In addition, during the project I had a couple of questions and had to call the office to get a response because my direct calls were not being responded to. My most annoying experience was when I called the office and was placed on hold without someone even saying Hello or Could you hold please? and then I was hung up on. Although the non-responsiveness seemed like a turn off and was very annoying, I did my due diligence beforehand with my neighbors (ACE trucks parked in front of their house or ACE work signs in front of their house) and concluded for a project that size, I preferred to have the job done right as my number one priority which was why I picked ACE in the first place.

Had a clog in main water drainage (water flooding out of driveway) and called for emergency after hours plumber. They came promptly, were very professional, fixed the problem in no time. Was expensive but what can we do.

I really really regretted hiring Ace Plumbing. I hired them to fix a code violation with my water heater. While I was able to get a guy to come out and do the work, albeit very slowly, the owner of Ace refused to get the permits necessary to do get the city's sign off. I called, I followed up, talked to their front desk and no one ever called me back. The guy that did the work said it was all up to the owner, his hands were tied. Apparently the owner couldn't be bothered, he was not even around much. After two months of trying to get the job completed and trying to get ACE to pull the permits and finish, I had to hire someone else that pulled permits and did the work within a week. I would not recommend them.

Leo! Bathtub was plugged in a bad way. Diagnosed and fixed it quickly and efficiently. Clean professional work, yay. Decent person too. Ask for Leo.

The plumber arrived on time and called ahead to let me know what time he would be there. He was very polite, courteous and professional. He was very thorough inspecting everything after he had unclogged the drain and noticed that two pipes that had started to leak. He quickly replaced the pipes. The fees charged were as quoted and very reasonable. I would definitely use this company again in the future.

Broken pipe in the ceiling. I called them and they were super accommodating and was able to fix the pipe that ended up being a bit more challenging since it was galvanized.

Great experience from beginning to end. I was a mess from the mess I’d created and the woman who answered the phone talked me down and got me connected with the technician (John) quickly. John called immediately and showed up shortly after that. He was kind and quick to get my situation under control. Really appreciate them and hope I never need their services again! Ace does great work. They answer the phone (!) so appointment set up is easy. We had a few problems and Scottie solved them and gave us great advice on other issues with our 114 year old building. The price was more than fair and he did not try to up sell us (a well known company wanted to charge us $360 for a 20 minute snake job that it turns out we didn't even need). I greatly appreciate their expertise and honesty. I wish there was more of that around.

We got excellent, timely service to a severe water leak problem in the basement.

The ACE guys we very efficient to quote, schedule and perform the repair of the hose bib in the backyard of my building. This was a pretty small little project, so I actually had trouble form other companies to get a quote / response.

Water from roof drainage was backing up into my kitchen sink during our recent intense rains in SF. I emailed ACE with my issue and they responded immediately to make an appointment. Russ and Edgar came out and gave me several options to consider and was able to take care of my plumbing issue with included installation of a clean out within an hour. I highly recommend.

With the storm drains my sump pump wasn't prepared to handle the amount of water that coming. Ace got my frantic call and scheduled a plumber same day. I was amazed at the how fast they worked and also cleaned out my nearby drain for free!

Ace came out on a Saturday evening to help with a leak discovered earlier that day. Quick service from Yousef and he took the time to find the problem, offer the right solution (toilet replacement) and get the job done that day so that the bathroom could be used. Great experience with Ace! I called on a Saturday morning and was given an appointment time of 3-4 pm same day. The Tech ended up calling at Noon and asking if I would like an earlier appointment. He came at 12:30pm and it was perfect. I would use them again!

Our water heater was leaking terribly at 4 am in the morning. Al was here within an hour to stop the leak and then fit us in for that day for a team to install our new water heater. He was very professional and his team were so very nice. I intend to use Ace P&R for all my plumbing needs.

I can't speak more highly of this Company. They responded quickly and very professionally. Water heater went out one day and was replaced the very next. It wasn't and easy job because of its location but they got it done. Jordan was the technician and he was A#1 First Class.

Our existing hot water heaters were drained, removed and replaced with two new hot water heaters. The following morning, I noticed the panel at the bottom of each heater had come loose and separated from the tank, thus exposing each tank's inside wiring. I called Ace Plumbing and the plumber from the previous day cane by within three hours to resolve the issue.

My tankless water heater was leaking from the pressure relief valve. The system is about 12 years old. Ace did a great job in fixing an emergency complicated leak. They were responsive, professional, and efficient and their fees were very reasonable for the work they did. I will call them for any future plumbing issues I may have, and would recommend them without hesitation.

This is a great company! They did my sewer lateral back in 2012. We developed a sinkhole recently and they came out to inspect it. Even though the sinkhole wasn’t related to the work they did, they went ahead and repaired it anyway for no charge. Very few businesses like this exist these days. I would highly recommend them.

Mo couldn't have been nicer and everything he installed seems to work great.

Great team over there from the dispatcher to the plumber, Kyle. They expediently got a replacement water heater installed when our in-laws were at our house. Kyle even came back to ensure that everything was secured to our liking.

The only con is that there's a premium price attached to the high quality service; we didn't have time to shop around though.

The best back flow testing in San Francisco

I wanted to write a second review to recommend Ace plumbing particularly Franco and his crew. They saved us once again from another issue made by the prior plumber. Unfortunately our brand new toilets were not installed properly and as a result there was leaking coming from behind. Franco and his colleague came by removed, diagnosed the issue and fixed both of our toilets. They have been working great. I am very grateful that I found Ace and Franco as they are wonderful knowledgeable plumbers and just good people. Sadly, this is rare nowadays. Thank you again!!

Michael, the plumber, was very nice and professional!
I had him change the garbage disposal and it's working really well now!
In the bathroom, Michael also changes the part in the toilet bowl, however, it is now working as before...not much improvement.
I can still hear water running and small flushing sound once in a while.
Also, I have to hold the flush switch longer ( 3-4 seconds), I did not have to hold that long before with the old part.
I am thinking about replacing a brand new toilet because it will result this small problem and a new toilet has a smaller water tank to save water.

I discovered Ace Plumbing -- and Mo, the plumber who has provided service on two calls -- last summer when my upstairs neighbor's washer leaked into my unit and I thought it was my washer. Mo diagnosed the problem, advised what to do about the floor damage, and returned when the flooring was pulled up to evaluate whether there was more damage. There was not. His honesty, kindness, punctuality are incredible -- this last visit he repaired one of my toilets and advised about a leaking faucet which I will call him back to fix. Cannot say enough good things about this neighborhood plumber.

Majid did a thorough investigation of the problem. He arrived for the estimate and job on time. Time will tell if the job was done correctly but based on our experience with Majid and Ace Plumbing would definitely work with Majid and Ace again.

We had a great experience with Kyle Kellum of Ace Plumbing and Rooter Inc - they were able to come earlier than originally scheduled which was great with all the drain problems everyone was having after the heavy rains. Kyle even gave us advice on preventing future blockages and tested a different drain that we had cleared ourselves. Super service - set price quoted up front and was what was charged. Would use them again if needed.

My favorite Ace plumber Russ arrived on time, promptly and expertly cleaned out a drain and fixed a slow water volume in a bathroom faucet. Beside his obvious skills he is always a pleasure tp have to have in my home.

The part replaced in my toilet is now not working. It was replaced 10 months ago. I can't believe I was charged $250 for installing a part that is now broken, costs about $17, and took 10 minutes to replace. I was also given a quote on a pipe shutoff valve that was twice as much as the company that I had repair it. Buyer beware is all I can say.

I had a great experience! My plumber was able to fix all my issues (a broken water shut off valve and leaking toilet water tank) plus tuning the flush so it finally worked after a few years of poor flow. They came within 2 hours on a Saturday after I called and stayed till everything was fixed and cleaned up after themselves including throwing away all the used parts. My plumber was extremely smart and friendly. Will use again!

Had them come look at a water stain on my ceiling that I wasn't sure where it was coming from. They were punctual, did a good amount of due diligence around inspecting the leak and water testing, and ultimately we determined it was an old water stain and the source had been remedied.

I needed some work down in my kitchen and did some research into plumbers and came across Ace Plumbing. I called them up, they were very knowledgable on the phone, and knew exactly what needed to happen. I scheduled an appointment 2 days later and they showed up on time, and since they thought the project might be bigger than what they initially thought on the phone, they sent out a few guys. While on-site I spoke with Jonathan about my issue, which was too small pipes for the line from my water heater to my sink. Apparently when I got the place it was shoddy plumbing work. Anyways, Ace fixed it on time and right at the price they quoted me. Would definitely recommend.

Called for leak in sink plumbing in the afternoon and they were able to come out the next day. Repair required a part, and technician came back to install promptly. Repair was for a tenant, and they made billing easy.

I had this company replace my water heater in January 2021 They did an outstanding job. When I saw a leak in my garage, my son-in-law suggested I contact them again. I’m glad I did. Though it took a few days for an appointment, they were prompt on the day of the appointment. The tech was very professional and courteous. He identified where the problem was and put a temporary fix until the permanent work could be done. Since the appointment was on a Sunday, the tech advised I would be contacted with an estimate and an appointment would be made for the follow-up visit. I received the estimate the next day and I contacted the office to approve the estimate and an appointment was scheduled. The same tech came back to replace the pipe that was leaking. He did an EXCELLENT job.

Tech was able to arrive 45 minutes before scheduled 2 hour window (yay!). Super professional and wasn't at all perturbed when I suggested we go outside while he went over the itemized bill. Thank you!

Oscar and Franco were professional, respectful and very nice. They quickly identified the issue and fixed the problem. Hopefully we don't need another plumber soon, but if we do we will use Ace.

Kenner and his co-worker came to install a pressure valve and shut off valve for the water line into our new refrigerator. He understood exactly what was needed so the refrigerator installers could proceed and install the new refrigerator. He was very sensitive to the time frame involved. His work was prompt and the workers tidied up afterwards. I would highly recommend ACE Plumbing and Kenner.

After scope evaluation by Plumber Rafael of a sewer lateral being separated and no slope, he provided bid to replace with new cast iron pipe, new house trap and cleanout. Decided to have the replacement done and it was completed in 2 days with minimal excavation and sewer interruption (2hrs). Also only needed to replace two concrete squares. Rafael's crew was efficient and hard working.

We tried to DIY and fix a water temperature issue with the shower and replaced a thermostatic mixing valve. While we fixed that part, we created a different problem and started having issues with our hot water pressure. We couldn't figure out how to fix it so called Ace because a low pressure shower is just way too depressing to start a day.

Called for an appointment in the morning and got an appointment the same day in the afternoon! Bonus two was that the service technician, Derrick, showed up on time, and was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. He diagnosed our issue, which was not anything to do with an air block as we had concluded from too much YouTube sleuthing (yes, best to leave these things to the actual professionals), and restored our hot water pressure. Yeah! I'd definitely call and use Ace again for any future plumbing needs.

I called to get services from this business. To summarize:Rude and unprofessional customer service. refused to answer any questions of mine regarding plumbing services. Something like What is an example of plumbing service you offer and what does it cost was not available to be answered. Also had to hear her scream to other coworkers about phone ringing.

Overall good, however, I got pushed back a day because of a big storm. They replaced two hot water heaters which was fine. Unfortunately. I received a call from another tenant in the same building at 10pm that they did not have hot water. This unit was not one that was replaced, but the plumbers turned the water off to this unit and did not turn it back on. I had to go over and remedy the problem.

My parents' faucet and handle in the shower are leaking. After failed to find the replacement parts for the cartridge, we decided to change the entire valve, which required us to contact our HOA to shut off water for the entire building. However, the HOA failed to shut off water at agreed time twice. Jonathan, the owner of ACE plumbing, offered to contact our HOA directly to ensure the water would be off for our third appointment. He even came over to my parents' place and did a pre-inspection to ensure everything would go smoothly the day before our appointment. At the end, everything went smoothly and the shower is working again. Johnathan also gave us a very reasonable pricing, and my parents really appreciated his kindness and diligent work.

The technician showed up on a Sunday morning within 1 hour of me calling with a plumbing emergency. It was his wedding anniversary. He helped us find and address the leak and recommended how best to dry things out and repair the damage the leak caused. I wouldn’t hesitate to call them again.

William installed a faucet at one of our rental properties. He was prompt, professional and diligent. I believe Harvin did the booking and they were very accommodating with scheduling. We would work with Ace Plumbing and Rooter again.

Plumber showed up an hour later than the window provided. Things happen that are out of someone’s control, so I understand to a point, but I had to call and ask where the plumber was- they were not proactive.

Plumber had to borrow my ChannelLock pliers, had to borrow a bucket and towels. He left our hose in the vent on the roof of the unit.

There was no care AT ALL given to try and protect the floors , walls or the fixtures. When brought in the augers- scratched the bathroom floor tiles and the wood floors

I was told by Home Depot that I could wrap a piece of tape around the gas line and it will hold it. Didn't seem right and wel, it was gas. Ace was busy but when I described the problem, there was no more discussion and they got me on the schedule. The house didn't blow up and it's never leaked again. Very appreciative!

I have used Ace Plumbing many times for my apartment building in Daly City and I find them very responsive, they give you a window of an hour and are always on time. They do a great job and Derrick came out last time and I find him very honest. They will be my first call in the future for any plumbing needs.

Called at about 3:30 am and a gentlemen named Tyler answered. I explained to him that my pipe broke and it was leaking all over the basement. He said that a pipe cant leak and needs to be long lasting and strong. I asked him if he could meet me in the morning to talk about an estimate but he declined and wanted to meet “asap”. I agreed and he showed up around 4:00 am. He got right to work and got done in less than 25 minutes. I offered him a beer but he said he had Don Julio in the van. Good job and once again Thank you Tyler!

I had used Ace Plumbing inspection the day right after thanksgiving. They arrived on time, professional and explained when the inspection entails. After the inspection he explained where the sewer lateral is having issues and if the sewer lateral is being replace he proposed a location and removal a tree and bushes so the roots will not effect the installation and future issues.

I was not present while doing the work. But I heard from my tenant.

Jim was the technician and came to check out our hot water heater and leaky faucet. The appointment was the same day I called, and after quickly tightening our bathroom faucet, he looked at the hot water heater and determined we needed a new one. The turn-around was awesome - he was back at 8:30 the next morning with the replacement. Not having hot water is a big deal, and our problem was fixed quickly. The pricing was fair as well. The immediate problem was fixed. The cost of repairs was extremely overpriced IMHO. I had similar work done a few years ago - cable cleaning of roots invading the sewer pipe from our house to the street - and the cost was ~ $150. The same work from Ace cost $375. They were available and they got the job done. But it cost.

Kyle from Ace Plumbing was absolutely fantastic! We had a sewage line back up, and he helped us navigate the entire process. Kyle explained to me what he was doing for each step of the troubleshooting process, and showed me things that were important (like our pipe being full of roots). He also made sure to explain the options available to us, as well as their pros & cons. There is always some negativity that comes with having a plumbing problem, but his good nature and humor helped diffuse it, which was greatly appreciated. He went the extra mile to help us find the root cause of our issue instead of just trying quick fixes, and I would 100% call him again for any plumbing issues in the future.

I enjoyed working with Russ at Ace Plumbing who was punctual, courteous, and professional. I had a bathtub faucet that leaked. I contacted a different plumber initially who did not seem to know the brand of my faucet and didn’t inspire much confidence in me so I decided to try Ace Plumbing. Russ on the other hand, from experience, guessed the brand then researched the specs that evening and let me know exactly how to go about securing replacement parts, which would have been the cheapest option for me. It was easy to schedule a follow up appointment and address the leak. Russ also wore his mask and shoe covers the whole time which I appreciate. I will certainly use Ace again in the future.

We are a six unit building in San Francisco and had the sewer later (about 50 ft. of underground pipes) and 10 ft. of an external branch line replaced since the pipes were corroded, rusted and over one hundred years old. Ace did an outstanding job not only with the timeliness and quality of work, but with the coordination of city inspectors, permits and frequent concise communication about the job. They provided their worker's compensation and liability insurance information and handled the job in very professional manner. I would recommend this company to anyone, especially in the complicated landscape of San Francisco. Especially helpful and competent were Phillip who managed the onsite job and Chelsea who managed the scheduling and administrative communications.

We wanted a garbage disposal installed in our kitchen sink. The job was complicated since we needed to have the granite counter drilled for the on off button and the piping under the sink had to be modified as well. The Ace team was very responsive. The job could not be completed the first day but they came back in a timely fashion and we are very happy with the result.

Good communication, fair price, flexible, knowledgeable. There was a flood in my basement. I used them to root it out. There was a delay on Sunday because 1 tech was out sick. They kept in contact with me and arrived first thing on Monday. They also looked at my sewer with a camera to see if there was any damage, didn't charge me the full amount because they couldn't get the camera all the way in given the state of my P trap.

The drain in my backyard got clogged with mud over time. Whenever heavy rains flooded my yard, the ground would get oversaturated and muddy water would flow into the drain. I called Ace Plumbling & Rooter. Their scheduler was very friendly and understood my problem and we scheduled an appointment for the following week. Their plumber called me on that day around 2:30 and informed me their 3pm appointment cancelled and could they come at 3pm instead of 4pm. This was fine by me and they arrived promptly a few minutes before 3. They tested to see how far down the clog was and took care of the problem. They were professional and very friendly. I would definitely use them again if I need a plumber.

I was very please to have dealt with Tyler at 11:00 p.m. on a Friday evening. He was trying his best to make our water heater work. With no luck he reassured us that it will get done. Since Tyler did not work on the weekend and it was a Friday night. He told us to call him in the morning and he would get a co-worker out if he can, to fix it Sat. Well , Tyler was good on his word. We suspected the seal on our toilet was bad and it was; water damaged our floors. Ace Plumbing got back to us same day to set up an apt. and the technician was on time and friendly. He worked fast and told us that he appretiates that his company is doing what it can to keep him and his coworkers safe during the pandemic. Kyle came out and fixed our leaky sink a few days ago. He was right on time, diagnosed the problem quickly (we needed a new P-trap), and repaired it. Excellent work. I've used Ace Plumbing for more than 10 years, from big jobs (replacing a sewer line) to leaky showers and sinks. Highly recommended.

I had a good experience overall - my only complaint is that the actual issue took 20 minutes to solve and was very routine, but I was still charged a minimum visit fee of $200. For 20 min of work, I would have liked to pay less, that's $600/hour to clear a pipe.

Called to have my old clay connection to the city's main sewer line inspected for roots and possible breaks. The repairman did a great job. He was efficient and courteous and also quite informative. The video of the pipe showed the clay pipe was in good condition, but there were roots at two points where there were pipe connections. He had to return a day later to run a high power water spray through the pipe to clean out the roots. Ace's pricing is very reasonable for the service. Only problem was that he was 3 hours late for the initial appointment and I had to reschedule for another day. On that day he was 1/2 hour late. The service to remove the roots was right on time. Other than that, I was very satisfied with the service.

We have used Ace a plumbing for over five years. Their teams are knowledgeable, hard working and have really helped us out multiple times. Jeff and Russ have been our points of contact and always show up on time and finish the job expertly. I really appreciate that this company has apprentices (or something like this) where the more experienced team member helps show the newer member the jobs. We had a severely clogged bathtub last week and Russ was here and allowed Roy to complete the job once he was certain what the job entailed. I think this form of training is really superb and I don’t know any other company that still does this. Ace plumbing has fixed or replaced half of our plumbing so far and is honest in price and the work never fails.

Russ showed up within 1.5 hours of my call, quickly assessed the issue, and found the culprit — a clogged drain line from the kitchen. He was fast, ultra knowledgable, and best of all, HONEST. Russ took the time to explain each step of the way, including the options + pros & cons, without acting like a pushy salesman.

I had to call a plumber and because it was right around the holidays many people were booked. Another plumber recommended Ace to me. I had a legal hearing the next day and my toilet had massively flooded. I was a wreck. I spoke to the lovely receptionist I think her name was Phyllis. Within minutes she called me back and said the Owner Jonathan would come help me. He unclogged my toilet and took a look at my shower that was not draining properly. He did not know I had the shower issue so did not have the room to fix it that day but he helped my emergency. The next day he came sent out his assistants Esraban and Joel to clear the drains and it was determined the toilet was broken. It was a bad clog that was because something had fallen in and was badly lodged.

When they came back to fix it it was NYE. Because of the holiday Esteban and Joel went to three stores to find a toilet. They had to get a manager friend to assist them to get a toilet even though it was closing. They fixed the toilet nicely and were very kind. A few days earlier there was a leak in the building. The PUC turned off the water and did not tell anyone. They determined the issue. Because everyone was on vacation and we did not know the status of the leak there was a delay in turning on the water but they locked all of the issues and days later came to restore the water. It has been a crazy situation. I did not know why when the water was turned off it was only the hot water so all I had was cold. They troubleshooted everything quirkily and professionally. I would recommend this company to anyone they really helped me when I needed it! I am so grateful!!’
