Paul and his crew have been helping me since 2001 with my 140 year old Victorian building six units plus a restaurant on Haight Street. Each time he proposed cost effective solutions and executed the work flawlessly. They worked on the sewer lines sometimes in a 3 foot tall crawlspace under an operating restaurant, once from a 30 ft ladder on the back of the building and again replacing a main line under the busy sidewalk. It seemed like magic that they could do what they did without inconveniencing my tenants or the public.

I have used these plumbers for several jobs now. Unfailingly they exceed expectations. They are fast, courteous, reliable and very cost effective. Wish I could give them 10 stars.. whoever works with them will be very fortunate!

The people that came out were so exceptionally nice. They were courteous and I felt like I was getting fantastic service. Our building is 114 years old and I wasn’t surprised that we would have some problems. I felt that they were very trustworthy and that they went out of their way to do a good job.

I had this company replace my water heater in January 2021 They did an outstanding job. When I saw a leak in my garage, my son-in-law suggested I contact them again. I’m glad I did. Though it took a few days for an appointment, they were prompt on the day of the appointment. The tech was very professional and courteous. He identified where the problem was and put a temporary fix until the permanent work could be done. Since the appointment was on a Sunday, the tech advised I would be contacted with an estimate and an appointment would be made for the follow-up visit. I received the estimate the next day and I contacted the office to approve the estimate and an appointment was scheduled. The same tech came back to replace the pipe that was leaking. He did an EXCELLENT job.

My business had a simple broken mixer, we reached out to Roto-Rooter on Monday and had an appointment scheduled for Tuesday 8am-12pm.

1. They no-call, no-showed first appointment
2. We called and they said they would be in that afternoon.
3. They then rescheduled to the following morning Wednesday 8am-12pm
4. They no-call, no-showed third appointment
5. I called and said Hi, if you're unable to make it I can totally find another plumber. they said No, someone will be in before 5pm today
6. They no-call, no-showed FOURTH APPOINTMENT
7. When we called them for a final time, they said they couldn't arrange anyone until SATURDAY... and that it was outside of their control.

So, essentially they strung us along with an unfixed issue for 4 days when we could have easily reached out to another provider. Then sent a text saying it was it couldn't be helped due to staffing issues beyond our control

I met Carlos and Gilmore today for a clogged sink and a leak. They were on time, very professional, and explained exactly the cost and what they would do and were done within a 1/2 an hour. Very pleasant to work with! Thank you again guys YOU BOTH did a great job!

The person that came to hydro clean my sewer line walked around like he had a hang over but was friendly. But since it's just drain cleaning not rocket science I thought I was safe. My line was backed up with black sewer sludge that is causing a sewer smell in the garage. My plumber friend recommended Magic since it was just drain cleaning. This guy parked above on the down slope above the carpet installer that had 3 rooms carpet cut out laid out on the street like they always do. The guy started his machine causing a flood of water to run down towards the carpets. The carpet installer saw it in time and began rolling the carpets to get them out of the way of the rushing water. I heard the commotion and ran out there to help him. All he said was I'm sorry. The installer and I manage to remove them in time. It would had ruin my carpet install. I would have made Magic pay for the carpet but my time line for the project is more important. Good thing the carpet installer is a hard worker. To make things worst Magic drain cleaner was Hydro cleaning the nasty stinky black sludge when he inserted the powerful Hydro line into the garage floor drain that has a P-trap and started his power machine in his truck. He should have known that it would push itself out due to the high pressure. That caused a fountain of nasty black stinky sewer sludge to flow in my garage and a door was open so it flowed in there too. At this point I wanted this guy to take care of his hang over or what ever is ailling him and go away. My garage is still smells because I think he did not finish cleaning it he said clear water is coming out when I was seeing gray water come out. I'm a handy man so I know a little of plumbing even my plumber friend said the job was hacked he couldn't done the job but he doesn't have the machine. $475.00 down the drain I wish the black sludge whent instead. Will not hire Magic Plumbing again

Super responsive. Available to come to our house within 1.5 hours of fairly urgent request (otherwise would have had to keep the water completely off in the house) on a weekday night. Communicated well throughout the whole process from telephone contact, to inspection, to repair. Thankful for a low-stress interaction as I was also mitigating a 5-year-old’s meltdown at the same time.
