Our 90 year old house needed a lot of plumbing renovations, and Adam and Lucky did a great job!Last year we had to replace our incoming water and outgoing sewer pipes, and Magic Plumbing took care of our problems then, too.We are loyal customers because they are prompt, efficient and friendly!

Magic came in to replace a heater thermostat. A thorough and quick check was completed to ensure the thermostat was the culprit. Once the thermostat was identified it was quickly replaced and another thorough safety check of the wall furnace was completed to close out the matter. Dennis was both professional and very congenial. The COVID safety protocol was also adhered to. Overall I felt the whole experience was excellent. Alberto, the gas plumbing professional, was great and did a very good job with the gas line installation. The only negative is that they don't provide estimates over the phone, but since they provide no obligation estimates in person, that wasn't as big of a deal for me.We've had Magic Plumbing come back for a different reason (new stove installation) and the experience was just as positive as the first time.

I told Joey my problem and he is so smart. He was able to diagnose within 5 minutes. My trip lever drain in my bath tub was not working and he repaired it so fast! Also he did a review of other pipes in my house just to make sure everything was safe. He went above and beyond to check the status of the unit beneath me as well. We hired them to come check our ejector pump system and had fixed our system. Jermey said he was an expert. The next day a storm hit and the system still was not working. In the middle of the night our basement came within 1 inch of flooding as our patio filled up with water. No emergency service!!!! This is the second time I have been burned my Magic. These guys are worthless!!!

I had a clogged kitchen sink drain that i could not break up, even after removing the drain pipe and snaking it myself. I called at 3pm, Miguel was here at 3:45, and done within an hour. Super happy with the service!

I called and got same-day service for a clog in the sewer line. Everyone I spoke to on the phone was professional and the scheduler kept me up to speed with availability. Billy and Joey came as it was getting dark and were friendly and professional .After hydroblasting, they used a camera to double check that the blockage was cleared. Not only did he efficiently complete his work on time, but also Magic Plumbing found another company perform a task which required a special license which Magic Plumbing did not have. Adam arrived on time and quickly assessed the condition of my 12 year old water heater recommending replacement. He returned in less than an hour with a new unit which unfortunately was found to be defective after it was fully installed. Without any complaining he removed the defective unit and returned with another new unit which so far is working great. Adam was committed to making sure that we would have hot water for evening showers.

Dennis Perez advised us on our heater filter, which had not been replaced in too long a while. He was extremely courteous and did not shame us for having a totally opaque and filthy filter. I've used Magic Plumbing for a number of jobs, some of which have been complicated including running gas lines up multiple floors through walls, and every time I have been extremely happy. Pablo goes out of his way to make sure service is excellent and is extremely accommodating. Jeremy performed several of our jobs and is very collaborative - he is great to work with.I have also found their prices to be reasonable and transparent.I would not hesitate to use Magic again!

Very courteous, and good analysis and explanation of the potential problem with the furnace. Also appreciated same day response which was possible due to a cancellation, so did not need to worry over the weekend. And this was a difficult job in limited space, but still was completed speedily.

Adam Goldman & assistant Robert were great: they came within an hour of the call, and within 2 hours they'd bought the supplies and finished the work. Several of my fellow homeowners in the building have also used Magic Plumbing (Yay Alberto!) and they're all happy with the work. At some point we'll upgrade & we'll be calling them.

Adam was really helpful with what turned out to be a triple repair. He and his assistant were masked, friendly and efficient. Also very pleasant to deal with. This was second experience with Magic Plumbing, with old Victorian homes, repairs can be quirky, the first repair was old piping between houses and they managed a tricky situation very well. I was an Atlas customer for many years until they reduced their service hours. Decided to give Magic Plumbing a shot since they are very near my address. Ryan came out and gave us a fair assessment. Marcus from Magic Plumbing came out to our place because our bathroom was flooding. He was there literally within 30 minutes of me calling magic plumbing he was extremely professional and courteous and did an excellent job.

They were much lower cost than the large chain store. They also advised me the about the most economical furnace. They went out of their way to schedule my furnace install so I wouldn’t have to take another day off work.

The technical person said my heater was broken, which would cost a fortune. Luckily we consulted another company and they fixed it. Different from what he said.

Alberto was a very polite, very helpful and very knowledgeable plumber. He diagnosed the location of our clog, thoroughly cleaned the pipes, in part using an electric snake. He was very careful about cleanliness and wore a mask and booties. The entire operation took about 60 min. He also sent us an estimate for fixing the problem that caused the clog - the vertical distance between sink drain and wall drain being too little. I highly recommend him and Magic Plumbing.

Steve was incredibly professional and pleasant to work with! He asked all the right questions and it was evident that he was highly skilled and experienced in this area of work. They repaired and replaced OLD pipes we had in our backyard and left the space looking better than it started. I was so impressed. Highly recommend!

Dennis was great! He thoroughly explained everything and was made sure to answer all my questions.

Our lateral line was clogged with “flushable” wipes (turns out NO wipes are flushable, except toilet paper, which completely disintegrates in water). As a result, we had a sewage backup into “the lowest point above the blockage,” which for us, was the downstairs bathroom, adjacent to our nice wood floors, just off of our living room. Fun! We were a wreck. Then Alberto shows up on the scene, and quickly and methodically got to work “jetting” our “lateral line,” leading from the house out to the main, city, sewer line, out in the street. Alberto was extremely helpful, sympathetic, and professional. He patiently explained that, over time, the smooth, interior surface of sewer lateral lines can develop small burrs (or worse, have roots from nearby trees growing into them) which can catch onto things like “flushable” wipes, that make their way down the toilet. After one wipe snags, the next one snags on top of it, and before long, you have a complete blockage, like ours, and a big mess, that NOBODY wants to deal with, all over your bathroom and nice floors. Alberto happened to have a wet vac with him and, after instructing me to go pour some bleach onto the mess in the bathroom, so it could start to disinfect the mess while he worked on clearing the main clog, he even vacuumed up the bathroom overflow for us and disposed of it down the toilet. We were SO THANKFUL for ALBERTO that night, and we wish him and his family, and his two college-age daughters ALL THE BEST. THANK YOU, ALBERTO!!

Very knowledgeable people, very thorough in the job, and also very nice -- they took the time to explain to us what was involved in repairing a leak. It turned to be more complicated than they had expected, yet they still only charged the amount of their estimate. A great experience all around.

Frank and Mac were so friendly and efficient !They were doing a job next door and my downspout was overflowing for the laundry cycle. I showed them and Frank isntantly diagnosed the problem. They said they would do their best to come by later.About an hour after that, they had a short timing and were able to squeeze me in.They went right to work and unclog a whole bunch of nasty stuff, grease, and composting leaves and stuff. They explained everything to me and also how to prevent it from clogging.Super nice and friendly and well, he knows what he is doing for sure.Highly highly recommend him !!!

Among other things he did, he checked out my new washing machine where the cold water button was delivering warm water and discovered that the Home Depot installer had put the cold water hose in the place on the machine that said hot water and the hot water hose on the place on the machine that said cold water so he switched them and now for the first time since I bought this expensive machine I am finally getting cold water when I press the cold water button!!!! He also installed a better toilet with a stronger flush and a new cold water valve on the washing machine. He is very friendly and polite

If you're in the unfortunate position to need a plumber, these guys are great. Came out to do what they thought was going to be a routine job, spent nearly an hour working until they realized it wasn't. Gave me some suggestions for next steps and an estimate for what they would charge to do the work, and didn't charge me for the visit. Came back, worked all day long and did work that wasn't covered in the estimate, and the invoice didn't exceed what we'd originally agreed on. Super clean work, really nice guys, and glad I found them. Couldn't recommend more.

Plumbers with better customer service than most restaurants. I hired them for a clogged sink that I could not fix. Bernardino snaked the clog 25 ft away, cleaned up the mess I had made, and even tightened the faucet while he was at it. I requested an invoice for HOA reimbursement and it arrived within minutes. Scheduling was excellent also. Got a very good deal through AngiesList coupon.

Oliver explained well the process of hydro jetting the sewer line and cleaned up well the area where a little debris arose from a drain at the patio; he even added a solution to tamper the odor at the said drain. He also explained my other concerns and plans for a new water heater and an anti-backflow. Oliver knows his trade quite well.

Seem to be too busy. Technicians don't have tools and supplies they need on the truck. Had to make six calls to get scheduled for initial visit, follow up to get estimate, and reschedule to get work done.

Plumbing issues are painfully stressful- especially blocked drains. Miguel took very good care, and resolved the issue very thoroughly. Pricy.....but worth it I suppose.

I had a problem with my air conditioning units, had scheduled an appointment with a competitor, but they didn't keep their appointment, didn't call, etc., So, I emailed Magic Plumbing through their website contact information. Right away I received a phone call from Dennis Perez, as well as a follow-up email from the Magic Plumbing dispatcher. I returned Dennis's call, made an appointment for the very next day. He repaired my 2 air conditioning units, one a rooftop Trane air conditioner unit and the other a standard air conditioner unit. He explained what was needed, the price was more than reasonable and quickly repaired both units, saving me thousands of dollars. He was very professional, knowledgeable, efficient in his work, and even gave me excellent instructions on how to best clean my reusable intake filters for both units so they will run more efficiently. Best work contact I could have made and I will LOSE the telephone number of my former air conditioner service company.

Alberto knows what he was doing and because we had the ceiling exposed for him, it was easy to see the leak and he was able to figure out the problem in 15 min.A leak is not just a leak. It can be very different in scope compared to other leaks.However the company has a fixed fee for leak detection for.$374! So we were charged that fee for less than 30 min. Of total work time. That is outrageously expensive for an elder to pay.and a partial refund in proportion to the scale of the work should be in order for a company to be credible.

Dino and Pablo worked very hard to solve my shower problem. They researched the part that was needed to fix the shower, and then dug further to find the part to fix the diverter. This took weeks of calling manufacturers, but they stuck with it and gave updates regularly. The shower is now fully fixed, and without having to redo any of the shower fixtures/tiling (other plumbers suggested the only solution was to completely demolish and rebuild the shower, which was ridiculous).

Bernardino showed up right on time and fixed our toilet and drainage problem in less than half an hour. Super nice guy, professional, and did a great job. Highly recommended!

Bernardino Merino was great! He installed the garbage disposal professionally and efficiently. Magic Plumbing is lucky to have him on their staff. I know he does not set the prices but the only negative feedback was that the install was $294 for about a hour's worth of work. This felt a bit steep to me. When we called the plumber who did the original installation, all of the sudden the drain was costing 10X as much as their original estimate. Dennis notified us by phone & text and arrived early in the window of time arranged. He was friendly and easy to talk with about the issues with the furnace. He used a tech tool that sent a camera into the furnace to look at all of the different parts which i could see on a screen. He gave us different options for how to repair the old furnace as well as cost for a new one. He answered all of our questions but did not pressure us to buy a new furnace. The best news is that he got the furnace working again in time for Thanksgiving!

I was very pleased with the work carried out by Adam Goldman. He actually dealt with a sink drainage problem from the master bedroom, and repaired a broken pop-up in one of the sinks in that room. Adam was thoroughly knowledgeable of the task to work on, was congenial, and provided me with insightful comments about his task at hand, doing a great job answering my questions.

During a recent rain, we noticed one of our house gutters was not draining and the gutter was full of water stretching the entire length of our house. As luck (or Magic) would have it, a Magic Plumbing truck was parked in front of our house. Joey (now my favorite plumber) had just finished working at a neighbor's home. I accosted him politely to ask his advice and help. He quickly and very pleasantly evaluated the situation. We called Becky at Magic Plumbing and within minutes Joey was on a ladder and cleared the clog. It really felt like magic as past plumbing issues usually take a while to schedule and almost always (with our older home) lead to other issues. I thought I'd never say something like this referring to a home repair but it was a great experience. (And, it is not because we've been cooped-up at home for a year due to Covid!!) We had actually used Magic Plumbing before in the past for a bigger and more stressful issue and that one too was handle professionally and expertly by Frank. I knew these professionals dealt with water. I did not realize that they walked on water. Every aspect of what Magic Plumbing did in terms of handling our extremely tricky sewer lateral replacement was top notch. They went the extra mile and then some.

My sink is clogged for two today's one plumber work for two hours trying to fix it. He tried hard but he just couldn't get it.I call magic plumbing I found them on the Internet, the guy grabbed a big machine out of his truck, you went at it for about 45 min. and it was cleared. I'm happy with the work.

I used Magic Plumming for a leak from my garbage disposal . The appointment was very easy to make and quick which was nice . Two men showed up and immediately went to work . They were not gentle with anything to say the least. One guy just about pulled my installed garbage can on tracks out by blindly yanking it until I told him it was screwed in. Of course I was told the entire garbage disposal had to be replaced - but after installing it , it was still leaking . Then I was told there was a crack in the connection elbow so that had to be changed as well. Then he installed the new elbow, he forgot to connect the disposal hose so when he tested it, water went everywhere ! . They worked quickly and were more casual' than professional but friendly. When they re- installed my garbage can tracking, it was put back it its original position but with the new garbage disposal which is bigger and wider , the garbage can track is now bumping the side of the new garbage disposal, so I'll have to adjust that myself . I felt the pricing was a bIt too high .Total cost - $475.00!!

My toilet was leaking, so I called them. They came the next day and replaced it after they determined it was too old to find parts for. They arrived on time, finished promptly, and their estimate was accurate.

First, Monique in the scheduling department did an amazing job with keeping me updated on the status and availability of their plumbers on Monday and finally advised that no one would be available until the following day. Marcos showed up within the appointment window and got right to work. I appreciated that Marcos explained what he was doing and what he was finding during each step of the process. In the end, Marcos summarized his findings, our options, pricing, etc. Though minor leaks were found, none substantiated the water meter readings we were getting from the Water Department. Marcos suggested we reach out to the water company...and here comes the best part, he provided us with his written report, photos and VIDEOS of his findings which included the water meter at a standstill (which appears to contradict a huge leak)! I am hopeful that Marcos' inspection and videos will go a long way in helping us resolve our water bill expenses with the water company. We called Magic Plumbing in SF for an emergency shower spout repair (water wouldn't stop running when spout was turned off), and their services were fantastic. Their appointment scheduler was prompt and friendly, and our plumber (Adam Goldman) was super responsive and fixed the problem beautifully. Adam explained the various bids and next steps. He's clearly very experienced, as he was able to fix a finicky spout. So appreciated, we'll definitely call Magic Plumbing again!

We had bursts of flame coming out from the bottom of our water heater - not a good thing! Called Magic Plumbing because they were listed as a service provider for our brand of water heater. From the phone call, to the service call, to the ultimate replacement of the unit, the entire staff were friendly and professional. They gave us a range of options of what we could do: repair or replace with enough information to feel like we made an informed decision. Remove and replace a traditional tank water heater with a tankless water heater. Tough crawl space to work in made removal difficult. The estimate was for two men two days and it was a full day job and Marcos and his assistant did not stop until it was finished. Marco did an excellent job, very hard worker and very knowledgeable about the process and sequence of the tankless water heater. Definitely requires two technicians working together to make it a one day job without leaving the tenant without water or gas.

The guys were great! Super friendly and got the job done quickly.

Having a totally blocked sewer line on memorial Day recently, it was a relief to talk with the answering service that day and be assured that we would be given high priority for express service when work resumed next day. Lead plumber Jim and his assistant arrived promptly as promised and did a thorough job of accessing and cleaning the interior of the main sewer line serving this old Victorian home. They made various notes and he took pictures of the water flow which he said indicated a possible situation which would lead to blockages again before too long. He therefore recommended and the company performed a subsequent in pipe video inspection which indeed did show root penetration of the main line at one point. I will confidently consult with Magic Plumbing and probably engage them for the best long-term solution to this apparent situation.I've used Magic Plumbing for well over 20 years and have recommended them to friends and associates who likewise Express satisfaction in their services.

I wish all contractors worked this way. It was easy to book, showed up on time and on the same day, super friendly and knew what he was doing. Quickly fixed the problem. Completely painless experience! I only wish they did more than just plumbing and heating!

Guy that came out was great. He fixed the leak and took money off the price when it was revealed that I have some of the new replacement pipes already. Although he had to cut into the wall he did it with a small enough hole such that it will not be difficult at all to fix once we remodel. Was very happy! One star off cause they made me pay 10% up front and I found out from another customer that lived in a better area that they did not ask him to pay upfront. Not cool!

NEW SEWER LINE! This was a major job, and excavation. Our old terra cotta clay line was cracked and at the end of it's life. Paul, the owner was meticulous and got all the permits in place so that the job could be started and completed according to my schedule.Thank you Paul! Steve S, the foreman of the job was the easiest person to work with ever! Since I was out of town during most of the job, he sent me pics and updates several times a day. Steve was super easy to communicate with, and always answered my questions. I really was pleased at how smoothly the job went, and the job was completed ahead of schedule. Steve put back all the landscaping after the plumbing inspector approved the job. It was as if they never were never there. Steve also sent me a video of the new sewer line. Steve, Paul, and magic pluming were extremely professional and made me feel great about an expensive and necessary job. How nice to have a brand new sewer line of Iron!

I was extremely happy with the service that I received from Magic Plumbing and would recommend them highly and without reservation. The last thing that you want to hear is that you need to have sewer lateral line replaced...ugh! But mine was original to the house, clay, and 80-90% blocked with roots. Magic Plumbing offered a great service. The communication was excellent. Options were spelled out. The job was completed ahead of schedule and at the lowest end of the projected cost! Everything is working great. They even pointed me toward a coupon that I was unaware of for the initial cleaning and video inspection. I hope not to have to call them again anytime soon...but if I have a plumbing need in the future...I now have a plumber!I am updating this review having had several other great experiences working with Magic Plumbing. Since my initial review, they have replaced a furnace, replaced a water heater and added a central A/C unit to my home. All services have been excellent. I used the online booking feature for 10AM. I received a call from their office rescheduling for 2PM because the online appointment system doesn't always work. Anyway, Jose arrived at 2 and promptly got to work locating the leak, which he found after pulling down the drywall around it.

Miguel and Victor did a great job replacing 9 water valves in my home and installing a bidet, they were diligent in making sure that everything worked well when they left and they were transparent about issues I might have down the line. They were professional and friendly as well. Dealing with Magic plumbing was incredibly easy, the estimates and the work were all delivered quickly and they were easy to communicate with. I have used Magic for nearly 2 decades now. I just had Steve Sobieraj out today to clear a drain in a unit. The Best tech on the team. He brought in a work mat for the kitchen floor, a bucket for draining and left the place nicer than it was. That was a first.This should be the standard for all the techs. And did I mention very knowledgeable?

The work was really good. I have mixed feelings about the prices. When I called for the last service when the tech arrived he quoted me the price and it was higher than the previous service calls so it was okay prices change. He could not complete the job on the first visit so scheduled for different equipment to be bought to finish the job. The next day I received a price that was higher than the first price quote so I had questions about how I was being charged.

Marcos Merino was the best plumber whom I had the pleasure to deal with. We had problem with plumbing or the water heaters and Marcos was able to explain the problems and how to resolve them. Two new water heaters had to be replaced and Marcos took the time to replace each one perfectly. We are happy with s services and will definitely use him or Magic Plumbing again.

Water heater broke on a Sunday. They showed up within a few hours to help diagnose the problem. Ryan was extremely helpful and professional. We needed a replacement - they were willing to do it same day, but Monday worked better for us. They showed up the next day within the scheduled window, and promptly finished the installation.

We have used Magic Plumbing a few times in last five years. They are family owned local business and we liked their services as they seemed to be honest and professional.Last week, we called them to schedule a visit as our tenant had some issues with a washing machine. As we did not know whether the issue was drain in the building or the washing machine, we needed them to go to the apartment and check.They were able to schedule a visit quickly which I liked, but i did not really liked the way they handle the case, this time... Basically they asked if they can snake the drain and it will cost $250. I assumed that they already check to make sure that drain was blocked and that was reason they needed to snake it. Since i was not at the apartment, i was not able to fully understand what was going on. But from the previous experience with them, i authorized the work.But then i found out that basically they did not do any testing before they decided to snake the drain. After they snaked the drain, then they pour the water thru the drain and said it was not the problem....Hmm? Why did they actually test the drain first? I don't quite understand the steps they took. I wished they simply pour some water in the drain to do the simple test before decided to snake the drain. At the end, we paid $250 for something we did not need if they tested the situation first.So unfortunately i have mixed feeling about this company now after the last visit...

Magic Plumbing came out to replace my toilet. They picked up the new one I ordered from the supply shop, brought it to my house, and installed it and took away the old one. Along the way then ended up having to fix a valve that didn't work as well. The new toilet base had a different shape than the old one, and Jose did a great job cleaning up the now-visible line before he added the caulk for the new toilet. Great service all around!

I called for duct cleanings but it turned out no duct cleaning was needed. Dennis came to my house and inspected the various vents and the furnace. And told me there was some superficial dust but not major cleaning needed. Dennis was friendly, timely, and very professional.

Jose was on time, very professional and did a great job of explaining the source of the issue and then solving the problem. He did so efficiently. He cleaned up after his work, an example of attention to customer service that is not typical.

My toilet was old and was a water waster. The plumber from Magic Plumbing told me it was better to replace it for a water saving toilet and not waste $300 fixing it. He recommended a high efficiency one from Caroma. The toilet has two buttons for a half flush and one a full flush. The toilet works great and I like the fact I'm saving water on every flush.

Two cancellations at last minute... still no ETA - really unprofessional serviceThey tell you Thursday afternoon and they call to cancel at 12.30 pm. I arranged for Saturday morning. Saturday, 9.30 am, they don't even have a schedule yet. Then they say 11 am, max 1 pm. They call 12.45 pm to say there's no parking, so they drove off, without even a ring. I go outside and there are 3 spots open... They tell me to wait an hour. After an hour and a half, they still don't have an ETA.

It's hard to imagine feeling good about anyone else showing up from here on. This was as smooth a service call as I could have ever asked for. We had a backed up sewer line and the issue was literally flowing onto the driveway and sidewalk. We needed help quickly and they arrived an hour and a half earlier than expected. The technician (Mike) was very professional and I could not be more satisfied. *These are very complicated and stressful times. Plumbing issues are the last thing someone wants to worry about and it was a tremendous relief to have this taken care of so quickly and efficiently.

The first plumber I called wasn’t available. The second plumber said it couldn’t be repaired and would have to be replaced for big $$. Thank you Adam and Magic Plumbing!

I'm glad you asked. First, what he did not do was to clear the drain, which a task that I had originally called you about. The drain line between the dishwasher and the disposal was still clogged after he left. While I was there, he had claimed that was clear and was working on the appliance itself, taking the dishwasher apart and the attempting to put it back together again as I had to leave my apartment. When I came back he was gone and the electric plug had been pulled from the dishwasher. I called in another repairman who began by unclogging the drain. He then found that when he turned the dishwasher on, it was leaking. After more than an hour's worth, he found that it had been put back together without inserting or replacing a washer that we found on the floor, while two screws were missing. He took the machine apart and put the washer back where it belongs and then found the two screws, so that after several hours' work the dishwasher functioned again. But at least an hour of the time he spent was putting the dishwasher back from the condition that you man had left it in. I'm afraid while he tried very hard, he did not cure the problem of the drain while creating problems in the dishwasher.

The team did a very professional job, was very communicative and respectful, and though the process took longer and cost more than one hopes, it was not their fault and they stuck to it. I would happily recommend them.

The Best! My go to place for Plumbing. Experience could not have been better.

I recently had an issue with my sewage ejector pump. On the first visit, Mike came to take a look at the issue. Before Mike's visit, I got a few consultations from other plumbing services, and they all recommended that I replace the entire system. Mike first tried to see whether it is pipes that are clogged. It was a refreshing experience that he didn't immediate jump to replacing the system. Unfortunately, he did find that the pipes were not clogged, and at that point scheduled another appointment to replace the actual pump. A couple days later, Mike brought another person with him to replace the pump. Upon taking the pump out, he realized the issue was not with the pump, but with the fact that the pipes were damaged and was no longer connected. He went out to purchase a replacement joint in order to allow him to saw off the damaged section of the pipe and replace it. He was able to fix the issue, and now the ejector pump is working. The only reason I have this listed at 3-star is price. For the initial visit, I was charged $250, and he spent only 45 minutes to essentially do a diagnostic. He did agree to discount half of it towards the final fix, but then charged $1150 for that (including $50 towards a restocking fee since we didn't use the new pump). I found that quite expensive for ~3 hours of work (the material fee was minimal since we only used a few new pipes).

The initial office telephone inquiry was handled with respect, understanding of the problem(s), and very prompt appt set-up for an assessment of the problems & a (very fair) estimate. Miguel and Pablo went out of their way to obtain the correct parts needed for a very old system that needed replacement. I was able to pick out the actual faucet/ shower head needed, but the hook-up & replacement of the inner workings was a bit complicated. Here's my impression of the operation:1) Professional: the receptionist/dispatcher immediately answered my call, walked me through the details of my plumbing issue, and scheduled me for a same day appointment. Also, I appreciated that the company is available during off hours - for those of us with an urgent issue that might arise outside of regular business hours.2) The repair guys arrived on time. Even more amazing, they send you a text that shows their exact driving location and expected arrival time (in minutes). Nice touch.3) The nature of my issue required two visits. Marcus came first and was very helpful. On the second visit Frank did most of the work and was very patient with my questions. Jose Nolasco showed up on time and ready for the job. He was extremely knowledgeable and professional. We had bad blockage and in our below grade lateral and Jose worked extremely hard to remove the blockage. He took the time to explain the issues, what to looks out for, and how to mitigate the problem in the future. I strongly recommend Jose and would work with him and his team again for future plumbing needs without a doubt.

The technician was prompt and courteous. He had all the supplies he needed with him to complete the job which meant noleaving to return to truck. Cleaned up completely after the job.

They did the work well. I was in a bind, as PGE shut off the gas and I needed a licensed plumber to fix two leaks asap. Had two leaks, one at a bend in a pipe, and one at the valve. Both easily accessible. Everyone at Magic was very professional, and they did the repair well. The lack of five stars is only for the price gouging on parts. I would have rather paid the extra cost as labor (which was billed at $475) and I would I have given them 5 stars). The fact that they charged $451 for two of these: (1 90 ELL HNBR PXP CS MEGA viega). $240 for one of these, 1-1/4 COUP W/ ST HNBR PXP CS MEGA, and $135 for a basic appliance valve, all parts under $50, and some not more than $2 dollars at home depot, I felt was shameless. But the gas is working, and that's my only dispute, the bill breakdown.

Joey Mikkelsen was extremely professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful. He fixed various smaller jobs on the spot and suggested multiple options to fix the larger jobs. I am really glad to have found Magic Plumbing and will definitely be using them again, and will specifically request Joey for future work.

The person that came to hydro clean my sewer line walked around like he had a hang over but was friendly. But since it's just drain cleaning not rocket science I thought I was safe. My line was backed up with black sewer sludge that is causing a sewer smell in the garage. My plumber friend recommended Magic since it was just drain cleaning. This guy parked above on the down slope above the carpet installer that had 3 rooms carpet cut out laid out on the street like they always do. The guy started his machine causing a flood of water to run down towards the carpets. The carpet installer saw it in time and began rolling the carpets to get them out of the way of the rushing water. I heard the commotion and ran out there to help him. All he said was I'm sorry. The installer and I manage to remove them in time. It would had ruin my carpet install. I would have made Magic pay for the carpet but my time line for the project is more important. Good thing the carpet installer is a hard worker. To make things worst Magic drain cleaner was Hydro cleaning the nasty stinky black sludge when he inserted the powerful Hydro line into the garage floor drain that has a P-trap and started his power machine in his truck. He should have known that it would push itself out due to the high pressure. That caused a fountain of nasty black stinky sewer sludge to flow in my garage and a door was open so it flowed in there too. At this point I wanted this guy to take care of his hang over or what ever is ailling him and go away. My garage is still smells because I think he did not finish cleaning it he said clear water is coming out when I was seeing gray water come out. I'm a handy man so I know a little of plumbing even my plumber friend said the job was hacked he couldn't done the job but he doesn't have the machine. $475.00 down the drain I wish the black sludge whent instead. Will not hire Magic Plumbing again

I've used Magic Plumbing for years. This time I was very happy to get Mike Curry, who has done work for me in the past. He is wonderful. Professional, courteous, genuinely nice and extremely efficient. I was told there would be two guys because the toilet is a 92 pound one-piece and needed to be carried up a flight of stairs. There was only Mike. Luckily I had a friend with me who helped Mike get it up the stairs. Mike got the toilet replaced AND did the cleaning up afterwards as well. I highly recommend asking for Mike Curry if you use Magic Plumbing.

Zayah, the plumber is great. The company is terrible. Toilet was leaking, flapper was replaced. Seemed to fix the problem but problem came back later that day. Plumber came back and the company would not replace another part at cost of part, wanted to charge me another service call on top of the $225 I had already spent the previous day. Problem was not fixed, yet charged me. Borderline criminal but just terrible way of doing business. Will not recommend to anybody in the future.

I've used Magic Plumbing for small projects for the past 3 years and been very happy with them. This latest call was for several items that I'd been putting off due to Covid-19 concerns, but finally decided I needed to get the repairs done. Miguel arrived on time, wearing a mask, and proceeded to take care of all the projects. We had to reschedule for the largest of the projects, because he needed a helper. When he came back, I was glad to see the same professional service. He took care to clean up afterward, and explained all the work he'd done, and then sent photos of the various projects. Very happy and will call them for other plumbing needs in the future.

Pretty simple repair. Nice people. It took a while to get a call from the dispatcher to confirm a time (a few hours), but it was fine. The plumber, Adam, was very nice, knowledgeable, and respectful.

When our water heater started leaking on a Friday morning, we didn't want to face a weekend without hot water. I got on Angi's List and called a couple of places. Alberto, from Magic Plumbing, came by at 6:30 pm on a Friday, after finishing other jobs. He was the only one who noticed immediately that the flu vent on the water heater wasn't really to code. We couldn't just pierce the main vent stack higher up, due to the terra cotta flu liner. So, he pointed out that the stand our old water heater was on, was no longer required code. Plus, he suggested using a short, 40 gal heater. That plus removing the stand would allow for the required angle on the flu from the water heater to the main vent stack. He also pointed out that the earthquake strapping was just plumbers straps, also not to code. The other companies didn't notice or point out any of these things. Alberto came the next morning and got right to work. very professional, also very nice guy. Highly recommend!

Dino is an expert at snaking drain pipes. He once again came to the rescue of the drains on my two Penthouse decks on Potrero Hill. With the heavy rains predicted for winter 2017, I'm hoping Dino's job will prevent my decks from becoming swimming pools. Dino is prompt, courteous, and explained everything he is doing.Addenda:(1) Dino did another great job of unblocking my obstructed deck drain pipes in May 2018.(2) And I requested his services as preventive maintenance before the arrival of the winter storms of 2018-2019.(3) And I used his roto-rooting expertise again for the 2019-2020 rainy season as the heavy rains began in earnest in November-December 2019.Highly recommended!

I called Magic Plumbing for an emergency service as the main line in our garage was flooding. They were super quick, polite, and cleaned up the floor area where the flood was! I will definitely call them again for future plumbing services.

I woke up on a Saturday morning with a plumbing emergency (clogged drain, flooded laundry room, out-of-commission machine) and was in a panic that I wouldn’t be able to get it fixed until Monday. Enter Magic Plumbing. I couldn’t have had a more pleasant experience from start to finish. The woman on the phone was incredibly helpful and dispatched someone right away (around 10am) to come fix the issue. Jose arrived promptly, took a look at the issue, explained clearly what he believed to be the problem and what our options were, from best to worse case scenario. Together we decided on a course of action and only then he shared what the cost would be based on what we decided to do. (Had I decided not to move forward, Jose’s visit and the full assessment would have been completely free.) Jose fixed the clogged drain and did a few tests to make sure everything was in good shape. He told me that a follow up visit was free, should any problems come up after his departure. I’ll be calling Magic Plumbing (and asking for Jose) for as long as I live in San Francisco!

The plumber assigned to me was great. The cost isn't competitive in my opinion although it must be due to cost of running a business in San Francisco. Possible improvement is if Magic Plumbing can supply their plumbers with garbage bags to handle refuse better as part of the job and if it can be clarified on what's not included in the quote (i.e. re-caulking the base of a toilet following a toilet pull and reset) that will be super awesome!

Dennis came out to do an estimate for the replacement of our 35yr+ HVAC system. Magic's response to our request for quote was extraordinarily fast. They were out here within two hours. Dennis was professional, friendly, and extremely competent. He answered our questions fully. I'm still getting estimates, but I hope we ultimately use Dennis and Magic based on my experience to date.

Our old water heater failed on Sunday morning. We had to turn off the water to the house to stop it from gushing water in our basement. Chris got here at about noon, worked until 5:30 removing the old water heater and installing the new one. He did a great job, was polite and efficient, and now we have a clean garage and hot water. The tub drain and overflow pipe as well as t trap and connection to the vent pipe had been improperly installed by the previous owners. Miguel and his colleague diagnosed the problem, cut out the old pipes, installed new brass and other fittings, and cleaned up. Excellent textbook quality work. We highly recommend.

To have two bypass valves replaced on a utility sink faucet we were charged $490.50. Seriously? A request for an itemized receipt yielded no information on the cost of the parts vs. the total cost of the job. The plumber who helped us was late both days he was scheduled to come to our home and in total spent no more than 45 minutes working on the job. Watch out for this place, folks.

He was reliable, friendly, worked hard, and was open about costs/helped by offering a current discount, etc. He returned a 2nd time to install a new faucet and, because a part was defective, he couldn’t—but he went above and beyond to try to make it work… Along the way he answered my questions, gave practical advice on costs, etc.

We had a leak in our apartment, and Magic Plumbing sent out their plumber and although he got there on time, the keys to our apartment were not delivered. Knowing we had a leak, they gave us an alternate time much later in the evening on the same day. The problem was identified and fixed quickly with Alberto our plumber keeping us informed every step of the way. Great plumbers, awesome customer service and real customer consideration. Adam came to a multi unit building in San Francisco to address a few plumbing issues. I received estimates promptly. He did work on one unit and was very professional in explaining the problems with the other unit as I was unsure if I wanted to do the work. I would recommend Adam highly.

Well, just terribly overpriced. Yes, I agreed to the price. But you could get no pricing information in advance. So when the plumber arrives, well he is there and you need the work done (in my case it was not an extreme situation), so I went ahead.They know that the customer is at a disadvantage. That is their advantage!!This is close to being a $$$ scam. Beware.

Really friendly and quick responses. They work on weekends! For the initial bid on work the two guys were running late, but they called, apologized, and asked if I wanted to reschedule of if they could arrive 20 minutes late. The guy who came to do the work was great. Yes, it's expensive, but I asked for three bids. And turns out, SF is expensive. Magic Plumbing's pricing was in line with all others.
