Best Plumbing Problems in Saint Paul MN

We had a leak, we thought, from our washing machine. Come to find out Jason, from Rumpca, found we had a bigger problem. He went in our crawl space & found that the bathtub drain is what caused the mess we had. The pipes were rusted ,causing the water to go through & down the wall in our family room. It caused water damage to part of a wall & part of the carpet in our family room & the crawl space. I would highly recommend Rumpca & Jason. He's very professional & courteous. Rumpca is reasonable with their pricing. They aren't out to take advantage of people. 5 stars!!!

I was so pleased with our experience. We had one employee come to our house who was very kind and easy to have in the house. Then, when we needed a second visit from them, the second employee was amazing as well! He took time to really discover the problem and then really took care in explaining things to us.I certainly don't want to have drain issues, but at least we were pleased with the employees that visited!

We got a new furnace last January 2019. They installed the new one and did not change the exhaust pipes. Condensed water froze and shut the furnace down. They cleaned it and left. Next night the same thing. Then they installed new pipes to fix the issue. The old pipes were in the wrong angle so the condensed water build up. When we had the inspection the inspector found a plug missing. This caused condensed exhaust to drip into the furnace and cause corrosion. They put a new plug in and said we will receive a response to amend this manufacturer or installation mistake. Never heard back. I Call every month once or twice since and described what happened and that I am waiting for a response since October. They never patch me through to anybody that can help me. Always say I will receive a call back. And I never received a call back for 5 months now. Honestly I am surprised that they dont even bother to just call me. Highly frustrating

Highly recommend this company. They took my call after hours, arrived quickly, and got the back up with my main line diagnosed and fixed quickly. Ran a camera through after the job to be extra thorough and confirm that the lines were clear. Happy they did this because we found a nasty old mouse on camera stuck at a Y in the drain 25 feet in. Took care of that too. Robert was the technician and he was awesome — prompt, friendly, knowledgeable, and respectful. Reasonable pricing even for after hours rates. No need calling anywhere else for plumbing jobs.

Nick was very, very helpful and easy to work with. He was willing to have me tag along to watch the camera inspection. I asked questions and learned from him, and he went out of his way to explain the ins and outs and help this first time homebuyer get educated. Mich appreciated, highly recommend!

I moved into a new home and needed a hot water heater replaced along with leaks coming from an upstairs bathroom. When I called Hessian Plumbing about the hot water heater they had me send a picture of the model in serial number of the unit and let me know I could fix it or replace it. And the unit itself was 25 years old. The other handful of plumbers I called were more than happy to have me put a few hundred dollars into a 25-year-old unit. I made the decision to replace it. Hessian showed up on time. Got the work done as planned on the agreed upon price. Regarding the leaks I had in the upstairs bathroom, they helped troubleshoot where the leaks were coming from. Fix both the drains and I'm now leak free. They were both on point on the dollars they quoted and I am more than satisfied with the work. Will definitely use Hessian plumbing again.

Keith Nelson Plumbing is simply the best. DJ and Justin and their crew are so kind, knowledgeable, hardworking, extremely good at what they do, and always go the extra mile. I cannot say enough good things about them. They have installed new water valves for us, new outdoor spigots, and a new kitchen faucet. We are so happy that we can work with them. We had a VERY VERY bad experience in the past with a different plumbing company on 2 separate plumbing issues, so we were so grateful when a friend of mine referred us to Keith Nelson. John is a true professional with a friendly, easygoing attitude and he is highly skilled at explaining what is going on every step of the way. He came out within a half an hour on a Saturday to assist us with a main line clog. He quickly assessed and resolved the issue and gave us good advice about what to look out for in the future. He answered and said he'd get to me soon. I told him there was no hurry but he came as promised the next day right on time. He quickly dismantled and removed the old heater and professionally installed the new quality appliance.

Had MPS replace my water heater last April. Having issues with no hot water. Called & texted them for assistance, no response. Called the MFG to file a warranty claim and they sent Champion Plumbing next day which the issue was resolved and stuck me with $475 bill. The CP contractor said whoever did the install did a poor job and not up to code. RED FLAGS everywhere and my family could have been in danger! Enraged and called MPS to explain the situation and requested a reimbursement. Lady told me not going to happen and that I should've kept trying to get a hold of them. Explained I did my part communicating two ways, text and phonecall. Even more angry at this point. Lady couldn't do anything and needed to talk to the manager so I took down email and hung up. CP sent me pictures and a report on his service and discoveries so I forwarded to them to MPS. Thinking this will be resolved in my favor but was I wrong. They claimed CP's way of business is to lie to get paid. Well that is exactly what MSP is about. We wouldn't be here if the job was done properly and up to code the first time. I lost $$$ on MPS f'up. I hope they learn from their mistakes because luck is going to run out if they continue to do business this way. My intentions is not to discourage people from doing business with MPS, because we all need to eat, but simply to let others be aware to conduct the research on service companies prior to hiring someone for the job.

Putting on a pressure release valve; $485.

I had a plugged kitchen sink. They arrived on time and even before they did any work they told me the total cost would be $450. They removed the drain trap under the sink and then ran a snake through the pipe. It took a total of 10 minutes to do this. They unclogged the line but I thought $450 for 10 minutes of work was a bit ridiculous. I will never use them again or recommend them because of their inflated price. When I initially called and asked how much it would cost, I was told the trip charge was $59 and then there would be additional cost depending on what work needed to be done. It would have been nice to know upfront that for a simple drain clog the minimum price would be $450. I have never spent this much money before to unclog a drain. With previous people, I was billed after the work is complete because it depended how much time was spent on the project and what was involved.
