Urban Pine Plumbing & Mechanical

Contractor for CenterPoint Energy. Installed a water heater. Did a great job.

We had to use urban pine plumbing in a pinch when my water heater went out. They were very prompt and here within hours. The gentleman (I believe his name was Mark) that installed it was very respectful and hard working, got the job done way quicker then I expected. I had called around and the prices at urban pine were the cheapest I found that day. Extremely reasonable and competitive pricing. Would hire again in a heart beat. Only Plummer’s I am using from here on out. A+ THANK YOU MARK AND URBAN PINE!!

This guy is the most inept plumber I have ever met. He readily admits he did not take all the coursework for becoming a plumber. Only good for installing water heaters for Big Box stores, which is to say, the lowest priced plumber they could contract out for. Do not use for anything more complicated. He never returned and left some of his tools at my house. Just wow.

Great service. We had them out to install a valve on our gas line, as well as a new stove. They worked quickly, were courteous, and priced well.

We hired Urban Pine to install a gas line. I would say for the most part Josh and Rebecca were good to work with, both very friendly and laid back but as the process went on there was just hiccup after hiccup. After the initial quote and they started drilling and running lines, we were told that everything should be good to go but when the inspector came, we were told that we'd need an additional $1k of work done but holes were drilled so our hands were relatively tied to continue. That itself kind of soured the experience but they did put in the initial quote that it could happen, Josh (lead plumber) was just convinced that it wouldn't be the case so we weren't really planning on spending the extra money.

This isn't my first go around so having the final bill be a lot more than the quote shouldn't be that surprising but that detail aside, the reason I wouldn't recommend them to friends or family are the following:

- Didn't clean up anything. They left drywall EVERYWHERE, they moved out appliances and left them there and would leave and just leave our door wide open.
- Work and timelines were super unclear. I was never 100% sure when they were coming, what the plan was, or what was being done. More transparency I think would have saved a lot of headaches.
- Knicked the gas line so we had a gas leak so when I smelled gas and had to have Xcel come out to turn our gas off, I called them to come fix the leak and I couldn't get anyone to pick up the phone for over 24 hours
- Didn't caulk the holes they made in our houses to run the line, so they left clean holes open for rodents, moisture and whatever else to get in. We had to call to have them come back and do it.
- When we needed to have the unplanned additional work done, I had to navigate with the gas company myself and then was told I had to pull some permits myself and I kept being told Rebecca would help me navigate that process but she kept telling me she had no idea what do.

All in all, I just felt like it was a very unprofessional, messy experience. We're in the midst of having multiple projects done on our house and are working with alot of contractors and these guys were the most difficult to work with.

Update: Had to pay to hire another service come out to finish the job and they had to drill another hole in our stucco to vent because Urban Pine made the hole too high for the furnace we had purchased so not only did we had to pay a lot more money to finish the job but I have to patch the previous hole they drilled in our stucco in the middle of winter. Stay away! They’re not experts.

All I can say is WOW! What a great job. They installed my new water heater quickly and made the needed venting corrections for better flow. It works like a charm, my wife can finally take those long hot baths again! We will continue to use them time and time again. Thank you Urban Pine team for making the whole experience better than I ever thought it could be. 5*+ from me!!

After waiting over 4-hours for service, plumber wanted $650 more than quoted. When I said I needed to talk to my wife and to the sales person, he refused to wait 5 minutes. High pressure, unprofessional, will never use.

Urban Pine was responsive and prompt after our water heater leaked and we were forced to replace it. Nick, our service tech was thorough and did a great job on the install. They subcontract with Home Service Plus and was very pleased at the same day turn around for the installation.

Abraham came within one hour and saved my house from flooding with a smile at the end of a long work day. Look no further these are good old fashioned people that work hard and try to make your day a little better.

they are incredibly rude and unprofessional! they install the new water heater through CenterPoint but bang the wall and the door while they were taking the old water heater out! they don't even try to come and fix it soon! do a favor to yourself and find another plumbing company for your job!

If their plumbing is anything like their driving, avoid at all cost. Some man driving one of their trucks was weaving in and out of traffic in the West metro on 7/24/2023 shortly after Noon. No signals, speeding, unnecessary lane changes, causing lots of people to have to hard brake to avoid collisions. Cut in front of me four different occasions.

had them install a water heater through centerpoint. When thye came out to give a quote they explained everything clearly and when it came time to install they were prompt and cleaned up after themselves. The inspector that came out was in and out of my house within 5 minutes finding no issues with their work.

Bang up job, didn't come back to paint the work though like i was told
