Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

We've had our share of plumbing problems, and Jesse #4291 came out to help this time. He was professional yet friendly, patient and understanding, knowledgeable and very helpful, as he worked on our main for a couple hours one evening, in the snow in the back yard, and in the 3 degree bitter cold! He was even courteous enough to close the gate as he left. We appreciated his service.

Nothing like having your basement start backing up with, yes, sewage when you're about to have guests for dinner on a Sunday night. That was us. We called Roto-Rooter, and they had someone at our house in well under a half-hour. The immediate mess was removed, and since the solution required adding an exit drain to our stack (old house, old main line!), we received assurances of a next day visit and excellent service. INDEED, we got exactly that; Ray arrived the following morning, fixing our issue for good. We completed the process with Brian, another great tech who cleaned out all of the lines and documented both the condition and some light, regular (every few years) maintenance that can prevent a $10k+ issue. I am admittedly hard to please, and I felt the work by this team was outstanding, very fairly priced, and comprehensive.

Have used Roto-Rooter for 7 + years with no complaints. We know our main line has root issues, and we need their services every year or so. This time I was able to catch the back up in the floor drain before it got out of control, that same day I scheduled the service appointment with the online system and Brian was able to come that same evening.I appreciated the consideration he had for using shoe covers and even equipment wheel covers! I had water coming up my downstairs shower and floor drain and it was a Saturday night,not a good time,if there is a such a thing,Roto-Rooter was there in two hours! Derek was very professional and was able to clear whatever was plugged.The cameraman Luke, was promptly here bright and early this Monday to check it out. Both were very informative,professional. What I liked most,for a bad situation, was the communication piece from All Roto-Rooter employees was very clear about the timing ,price, and course of action was going to be.

We called on a Saturday as our basement drain was backing up. Jerrel, the field supervisor was out to our house within an hour and diagnosed our problem. Within another hour, Brian had arrived, fixed the drain problem and we were back to a normal Saturday. Both Jerrel and Brian were very great to work with! Very knowledgeable and eager to answer any question.

The service was stellar and the plumber (Tone 6262) was very polite and respectful to us as customers. In particular, after the service was done our kitchen drain was spotless and pristine!

Our appointment timing was from 4-8:00 pm - Received verification call and Steve (#655) was there at 4:02 pm. We were concerned it would be closer to 8:00 - good timing! We have used Roto-Rooter many times over the years and have never experienced a plumber that was as prepared as Steve was - he knew the last time our kitchen sink had been serviced and also knew when we had our major sewer line work had been done. He was thorough, overall great experience and job well done!

A bunch of liars, I was told by the technician that I had a 6 month guarantee on the service before he left my house. My drain backed up again month later, and the rude technician that showed up told me I had no guarantee. Screw you Roto Rooter.

I was able to setup the appointment all online, and a tech was available earlier than expected the next day. Entire process took about an hour and everything is working again - prompt, quick, no hassle.

We had a partially blocked floor drain which was not an emergency but we were able to make an online appointment for the next day. As promised, we were notified of the serviceman's arrival time. I declined the service after their initial assessment. They were going to charge $375 for a 15 minute job to replace water pipe? No way. Truly truly ridiculous.

Had tree roots on sewer line. Roto rooter was on site within the hour. Meant the world to know I can breath easy without worrying about sewer showing up in our basement. Brian explained things very well and reassured we had a six month period to recall them in case of any trouble. I like Roto rooter because they show up when you need them.

Brian arrived right on time and quickly cleaned out our main sewage line from the floor access out to the street. He also cleaned the line from the laundry floor drain to the main line. Brian was very professional in his work and always wore shoe coverings and made sure his equipment was protected so no dirt came into our home. Dennis was great - prompt, friendly and knowledgeable. He explained everything he had done and was quick to answer any questions we had. The cost was a bit more than we had anticipated, but we've never had our drains unclogged and had not checked pricing from other companies beforehand. Nonetheless, we are happy that we had this done and satisfied that our pipes are clean.

I called Roto Rooter this morning when our basement drains backed up. The person taking the call was courteous and promised prompt service. Within an hour we had a technician at our house who analyzed the situation, determined it was drain and not sewer, then proceeded to snake the drain a number of times to make sure the problem was resolved. The technician was professional, courteous, explained things thoroughly, masked and booted, and his work and cleanup were very much appreciated.

I have used roto-rooter on other drain issues in my house and will continue to use them should I have any more drain/plumbing issues.

Holidays are a poor timing for a plumbing issue but Brian with Roto-Rooter came out within 4 hours of calling and helped us clean out a clog in our main line that was to far that my husband couldn't reach woth his plumbing snake. I was very pleased with the service from Roto-Rooter. The water backed up in my basement laundry room on a Sunday morning after doing a load of wash. I called the local office and someone came to my home in less than an hour. They determined that the sewer line from my home to the street had an obstruction, probably tree roots. They brought in their equipment and had the line open in about 15 minutes. I also had them look at my kitchen sink because the water sometimes ran slowly down the side with the garbage disposal. The service person said it looked like the hole in the splash shield had shriveled up a little over time and if I opened it up slightly, that would probably fix it. He said he could run the snake down the drain for an additional charge, but that it probably wouldn't help. I appreciated his honesty. After they left, I tried enlarging the hole and that took care of the problem.The technicians were friendly, knowledgeable, and didn't try to sell me more than I needed. I also didn't get sales pitches for other services, which I appreciated. I was extremely satisfied with the service from Roto-Rooter and would definitely call them again.

I was extremely surprised at the estimate cost to install/replace my dishwasher. It was estimated to be almost $1000.00. The dishwasher did not even cost that much. Plus I had to pay $69.00 to learn this information. I repeated asked for a ball park estimate over the phone, which they would not provide. I now understand why.

The dreaded double kitchen sink clog was resolved quickly with a 30' long snaking. Not a do-it- yourself task unless you have the right tools. The service technician Tone was very professional and a great representative for Roto-Rooter.

We had a very stressful situation where we had a large gathering at our house and sewage started to flood into our basement. I called Roto-Rooter and they were able to get someone out within a couple hours, which we were so thankful for! I called for a basement drain back up at around 3 pm on a Saturday. The initial call window was from 4-7 pm. I had every expectation that it would be closer to 7 pm. Then I got a call at 4:13 to tell me that Kyle would arrive in 30 minutes. When Kyle arrived, he gave me all the information that I needed to know about how my drainage was set up and what he would be doing. He was very knowledgeable and answered all the questions I had. He told me to go relax and that he would be there until the backup was fixed. He spent about an hour on the job and when he was done, he told me what he did and that I shouldn't have any problems any more. Kyle also gave me some tips to avoid the grease backup that was the source of the drainage issue.I was very pleased with my experience with Kyle and Roto-Rooter and would recommend them for their quick turn around, reasonable pricing, and professionalism.

They fixed my main drain. It was slow and they got the clog out. Said it was due to grease and food clog where pipe turned. The charge was $456.60 with $75 preventative pipe shield maintenance treatment. I had a $55 off coupon from valu pak website. We had tried to snake it but didn’t work. The guys were nice and very quick and solved the problem.

Brian did a great job getting out here quickly and cleaning out our drain. He was professional, quick, efficient and very helpful with the drain cleaning and explanation of everything he did. Happy to use again in the future!

Jesse(4291) and his trainee Joe came and finished within the four hour window I was given for them arriving. They were very professional and knowledgeable. I felt they did a very thorough job cleaning my sewer line and sink drain. They informed me of the cause of the backup and presented me with options on how to avoid it in the future. They also let me know that they do no charge more for nights and weekends as I had waited until Monday morning for a problem that occurred between Saturday and Sunday. Will use rotor rooter again if needed!

The technician/plumber was professional and got the job done, so HE earned the 4 stars.BEWARE: You cannot find out (not even a range) how much the service will cost until the technician is at your home. It cost FOUR HUNDRED AND THIRTY dollars to unclog our kitchen sink/drain….Had I known RR was so expensive, I would have at least tried to find another provider.I felt shammed. I waited hours for the service and was frankly desperate. This will be my last time patronizing Roto Rooter.

The drain in our kitchen sink became completely clogged. I was unable to resolve the problem myself, and contacted Roto-Rooter. Will, their EXCELLENT service person, arrived on schedule, listened carefully to my description of the situation and the corrective actions I had tried, quickly created a plan, and skillfully removed the blockage. Will REALLY did an outstanding job, communicated effectively with us, and should be appropriately rewarded for representating your organization so well.

The onsite service was excellent. Dealing with the people at Roto Rooter was very suspect. We were quoted a price that equaled about $750 per hour. When we checked with two other well known companies, we were told we had to pay $100 for their opinion. Due to the nature of the problem and time we went with Roto Rooter. As the crew finished we received a call asking for another $1,000 to finish the job, we pushed back and was told they would call back, they never did. Due to the way of doing business, we would never recommend Roto Rooter

Called with a drain problem with our tub/shower on the main floor draining into the basement shower stall and over flowing to the floor and wood molding. Here within a couple of hours same day as promised. Very nice young man, Fred Tech# 4155, solved the issue with a large hair clog very quickly. Cleaned up after and was very courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. A service I would not hesitate to call again.

I was very impressed with the work that was completed. Also a big shout out to the guys as my husband had a massive stroke a couple years ago and wants to help or talk. They were patient and very nice with him. This means the world to me as we have had times where people aren’t patient. I really appreciate everything they did for us!!

Use Roto router to fix a clogged toilet. They came out quickly on a Saturday spent five minutes explaining to me the options that they might need to pursue to fix the problem. Tried the first and cheapest option which worked as it does he said most of the time. Whole process took about half an hour and they were done the price was reasonable for a Saturday morning plumbing call.

Came fast, great work. Very expensive to just clean a drain. They won’t tell you the price over the phone but the tech says it’s a flat fee. They should tell you the price before sending a tech.

I thought they were way, way overpriced. $600 to reset a toilet is in my opinion way too much. Then I had to listen to him complain about the silicone caulking that I used previously to seal around the bottom of the toilet, about the fact that the linoleum under the toilet had a couple of cuts in it, and that rubber shims were used previously. Then he didn’t even supply his own shop supplies. He first asked me for a couple of garbage bags to use to set the toilet on. I gladly provided them, but shouldn’t he have had his own drop cloth or something to do the job? Then he asked me for some pennies to use as shims under the toilet. Seriously, pennies? Are you telling me that no one makes a commercial grade shim to use to set a toilet that a big company like Roto Rooter has access to? Then, when my wife got home, she asked why he didn’t caulk around the bottom of the toilet. I told her that he did, but she said he certainly didn’t do a very good job. I’m glad he fixed my problem, but I was disappointed in the way it was done. I doubt that I will be hiring this firm for any future problems.

Excellent, fast and efficient work. Aaron came out to my house within the hour in the early AM. He was able to clear out my main drain and also unclogged my laundry tub at no extra charge. Roto-Rooter is a little on the high side cost-wise but they do good work and it comes with a 6-month guarantee. Mention Angie's List for a $30 coupon on service.

Luke (3657) from Roto-Rooter came out on a Saturday to clean out my drain. He was very professional and set my mind at ease almost immediately. There were a few problems getting to where Luke needed to work but he got right passed them like they were nothing. I highly recommend this service and I highly recommend Luke.

Overall, I am very happy with all the work performed and it solved my problem. I was quite pleased with how quickly RotoRooter was able to get a plumber to my house and get the issue resolved. I thought the cost was a bit high, but this is just my opinion and not based on any competitive estimates or knowledge - other estimates could have yielded similar pricing.

The tech who worked with me was professional and knowledgeable, and fixed my issue of standing water in my kitchen and laundry sinks. I also learned a bit about how to take care of my drain pipes for the future. Much appreciated! I had to wait a little longer (30min) outside the 10-12 window I made my appointment for, but the dispatch called to keep me up to date on what to expect so I could plan my day.

The plumber arrived at my house at the beginning of the scheduled time frame and after a phone call. He checked everything carefully before deciding the best course of action. The floor drain in the laundry has been well cleaned to the main line. He checked the main line and assured me it was fine. Good suggestions were given for the future.

We called Roto-Rooter late in the evening after our shower started to leak through the floors & walls, and they were able to be at our house at 8am the next morning to look at the issue. It's never a joy to have to contact a plumber, but...we've always been treated fairly and professionally by the people at Roto-Rooter. They get the job done and if it's not done right, they will return until it is. This happened to us when our sewer drain backed up and needed to be routed out. Turns out there were tree roots that were not removed on the first visit but when a man from the company came out with a scope, they had someone out within twenty minutes to get the remaining roots out. Very happy with their service.

I contacted several places to unclog my main line, and after jumping through a bunch of annoying hoops with no success with all of them, I called Roto Rooter. They came quick the same day and took care of it. And our service tech, Brian, was great. Much appreciated!

Toilet was repaired satisfactory. What bothered me was the outrageous cost for labor. It was well over $550. hourly. Thankfully it only took an hour. I think from now on when I call for a plumber I'll ask what they charge before I book them.

I had a great first time experience with RotoRooter! It was 9pm when I found we had a backed up sewer line in the basement, and who knows how long it had been spilling over. I called two different plumbing companies (I had used both of them on previous occasions) to try to find someone to come over as soon as possible to clear the drain. One company hung up on me. The other said the soonest they could come out was three days later. Yeah right! RotoRooter answered my prayers- they sent someone out the same night!!!! I couldn’t believe it! Brian was my plumber, and he was awesome!! He worked super hard to get the old plumbing unstuck and open so he could clear two different drains in the basement!!! Within an hour of my call, I had a tech ringing my doorbell and ready to go. The tech completing the work was efficient and friendly. Woke up to a sewage backup this morning, they were at my house within 2 hours and had the problem fixed as best they could.I was given two options for next steps with quotes, unfortunately my situation is a little different as the city planned on fixing our water and sewage mains this spring.I was advised by Nick, to contact the city to see if they’d pay for this or reimburse as our city already planned to do this.Nick and Brad were both very friendly and knowledgeable, had me watch the process and answered all my questions.We had to pull some carpeting back and they put it back, looks like nothing was disturbed.Very happy with the experience.

The tech was knowledgeable and efficient. His interaction with the customer was very neutral. I could not say he was neither friendly or offsetting. I had a five-star experience with Roto Rooter. They were hoping to visit on Friday but weren't able to make it work because of other appointments that took longer than expected. Dispatch stayed in touch with us to communicate this, then rescheduled for an appointment on Monday morning, New Year's Eve.The plumber/technician who helped us — I wish I could remember his name! Apologies. — was extremely friendly, presented our options transparently, and ensured that the faucet he installed was the one we wanted. Excellent service, would call again.

I can not recommend Roto Rooter and the crew that helped us out enough! They will have my business for life. They immediately showed up to address major water in a rental property and quickly assessed that it was more than a clogged drain. The first technician called in the supervisors and within 30 minutes, I had multiple supervisors and work groups on site to address all the issues: Pipe repair, drain clearing and clean-up. The communication was frequent and timely; everyone was in coordination with everyone else (since it was multiple work groups needed to fully address the problem). Replaced all old parts that were needed while explaining everything along the way. They were honest and reasonably priced for all the work they did. The sewer line that ran from the laundry room to the main sewer line was backing up. I was able to schedule a service appointment for first thing the next day on-line (quick and easy!). The Service Technician, Al, arrived on-time. He explained what needed to be fixed in a very courteous and understandable way and got the work done quickly. Had a plumbing issue on a Saturday and checked with someone else who wasn’t going to be able to come til Monday. That wasn’t going to be able to cut it. I came down into the basement with water gushing up through the floor drains and I needed somebody fast. I know nothing about plumbing and the plumber took the time to explain what had caused the back-up, signs of another back-up, and how to prevent another back-up from happening. Toilet was clogged with a wash cloth. I had been working on it for several days myself, but was unsucessful. I was afraid going any further on my own might result in damaging the toilet.anf mean an even more costly repair. I called RotoRooter. Luke #3657 was very professional, personable and prompt. My window was from 12-4, and I got a call from dispatch at 11am saying they could come right on time at 12, if not a little early. This worked out perfectly for me. Once he got here, he was helpful yet straight to the point. He gave helpful tips along the way about what he found without being condescending. All of this I appreciate very much in a service experience like this.

I thought the $205 for 15 min of unclogging a toilet excessive. I asked for a pricing when I booked the service but they said they would quote the cost when they arrived. The tech said it was standard/fixed pricing so I was really disappointed that they couldn't be upfront right away. Tech was friendly and here for 15 min tops. My normal plumber couldn't get here until 2 days later so promptness was good. I did google costs before tech got here but I just wish the scheduler would be more upfront.

They were on time and kept me updated on arrival status, which I appreciate having a newborn at home. Our serviceman Peter was very nice and helpful, and did a very thorough job. He gave us additional tips on what we can do to maintain our pipes and keep our drains clean. He really went above and beyond in terms of the services and advice provided. Did the job after repairing one of 3 tools that broke down. I forgot how pricey they compared to others. Can't do that anymore. And the first price didn't include unclogging the drain that was the problem.

I received wonderful service from Roto-Rooter on the phone as well as from Fred (Technician #4155) to take care of a main sewer line backup.As someone who dreads making phone calls, I was pleasantly surprised to call around lunch-time on a weekday and nearly immediately get on the line with a person! Even better, I never had to be transferred or put on hold, the first person who picked up the phone took care of all my information and scheduled my same day appointment!After getting a heads-up phone call, the technician arrived about a half-hour later and immediately got to work on my drain and sewer line. I had the line snaked twice out to the street, and the drain cleared which remained clogged after snaking. The whole job was even completed before the end of the 4-hour arrival window!While he was here, Fred was great. He was very professional and courteous as anyone would expect, but I especially appreciated his advice and knowledge on the situation. My house is fairly old and needs work throughout, so asking even a couple of questions about the drain, sewer, and plumbing to a professional was very helpful.Although I hope I don't have any future needs for Roto-Rooter, I won't hesitate to use their service again, and I would recommend it to anyone.

We woke up to a bathtub full to the top with gray water. Brian was here within an hour of the call. He was up front about cost $400 for snaking the drain. He finished the job in about 30 minutes and didn't leave any mess for us to clean up. He showed us the drain was working and reviewed prevention and maintenance. Roto Rooter was at my house within the hour on a Friday afternoon after my kitchen line backed up. I called 4 other businesses who couldn’t make it to my house on the same day. I appreciate having someone to my house quickly and clearing my plumbing issue effectively.

Very disappointed in the service in the Minneapolis area. I called to replace an exposed valve in my basement after dripping and was told a plumber could come 8am to 10am on Monday morning. Plumber showed up 7 hours late, I called twice to follow up. Plumber took a phone call in the middle of repair and walked outside. I walked into the room during the replacement and water was trickling all over the furnace/floor. Bill was $550 for less than one hour of work and replacing 1 valve.Service was done in Oct 2020.

The ROTO-ROOTER TEAM saved the day! Spence hardy, who I dealt with came through in the clutch! Originally, I went with a different company. The day the work was to be completed they were going to charge an additional 4500! I called Spence Hardy up to see if they could do it- I was in a bind 2 days before closing on a house I was selling- and he was able to get in the work on less than 24 hour notice. The guys who completed the work were awesome, as well. Even in a bind, the quote didn’t change! Roto-Rooter was very prompt in coming out to fix a plugged drain. They stated they would be there anywhere between 30 minutes and four hours. They also stated they would contact me 45 minutes before they came. Approximately 30 minutes after calling a representative reached out to me and let me know that a technician will be there within the hour and shortly there after the technician contacted me stating he was on his way just as promised. Our technician Derek was very friendly and knowledgeable of our drain clog. Within 45 minutes he had our drain unplugged and work your normal again. I would definitely recommend their service.

This would be a 5 star except I called at 9:30 or 10 pm and was told there was not any techs available overnight even though it is a 24 hour service. I was then also told it would be Friday before they would be able to be out (this was Wednesday night) and that was for an emergency (had sewer block and it was backing up into the house). I logged on the website and was able to get someone out the next day. I set it up online and by 9 AM the tech was here and he fixed it no problem. He was very informative and apologetic that we were not given service in the overnight hours. I have used RotoRooter once before and have always been happy with their services.

Jeff performed a camera inspection of our mainline sewer connection. This inspection occurred after the line had been cleared out with a drain snake. I believe that Jeff did a good job. He was personable and knowledgeable and was able to answer my questions. I was able to observe the inspection on the monitor. He paused the camera where the roots were so I could see them clearly. He did not use any pressure type sales tactics to get more business from us. He explained what the option for repair was in a way that I could understand it. I would recommend him and Rotor-Rooter.

Good, courteous, competent. Somewhat costly (not unusual in last-minute and weekend calls; we'd tried five other companies at that point, none of who had techs available), but we also were able to use a 20% discount coupon which was helpful. Joe, the technician, was very prompt and worked hard to get the pipe in the basement cleared. I was very pleased with his work ethics and with his perseverance in successfully completing the job. Good cleanup after the job was done too. Highly recommend Roto-Rooter Plumbing.

Expensive!!! First the good: I really appreciated the prompt response and professionalism of the master plumber who came to my home to repair a busted pipe. I'd highly recommend him as a person and the work he did.Now my objection: He said the work was complicated and gave me a bid for replacing the broken pipe at $1200. I accepted the bid since I would have no water in the house until it was fixed and it was already the afternoon. In the end, it took him an hour and 15 minutes to do the job. I was shocked that the cost could be so high for a little more than an hour's work. He said the cost of the job is standard pricing and is not set on the amount of time it took. It would have cost the same if it took him 4 hours instead of 1. He said that any job that involves copper stars at $800. Wow. I wish that I'd been willing to go a night without water and call someone else to do the job. To be clear, I really liked the plumber. Great guy. But I think Roto-rooter's prices are too high if their master plumbers are bringing in $1000/hour.

We have relied on Roto Rooter for preventive drain maintenance and they are professional, friendly, quick to respond, and always notify us if running late. I am especially impressed with the care they take to clean up after the job is complete, the booties worn through your home, and their covid safety practices. I highly recommend this company.

Clint at Roto-Rooter was VERY helpful, knowledgeable, through, detailed, kind, friendly and thoughtful. We wanted to install a new bathtub and shower in our bathroom. When we were in the demo process we learned our new shower fixture needed to be installed to copper pipes. We did not have the necessary tools to handle this. We called Roto-Rooter at midnight on Thursday to help get our only bathroom working again. It is our only shower and bathtub in our house. So this was urgent and needed to be handled.Clint a tech with Roto-Rooter showed up at 9am on Friday to install our new shower equipment to our copper pipes. Then he helped fix a leak from our shutoff valve for our toilet along with sharing insight about our new faucet to be installed. He set it up so I could install it and explained what I needed to do to make sure it had a perfect installation when we were ready to install it. Then when we were installing our bathtub learned the piping was not center so we called RotoRooter again and they came out to center the piping below the subfloor and the copper pipes on the wall. He showed me how to set my new toilet too!! Wow the care and customer service was beyond my expectations. Clint went above and beyond. I will call RotoRooter for all my plumbing needs. Brian #936 was great. We have had different companies out over the years and they usually just try to get in and done as fast as possible. Brian took his time and did a thorough job. Even when it got rough he didn't give up like others have before. Very appreciative.

I had a terrible water sewage backup in my basement. They came out before the job and told me honestly about the problem. They were very nice and respectful and had professionals to help with each problem. They cleared my drain and were clean and respectful of my home. Sent an online request Friday morning to have a line cleared. They called back within 30 minutes and scheduled a service for later that day (this was a Friday before a holiday weekend). The guys showed up within a couple hours (gave a call 30 minutes prior to arrival). They were able to clean out the drain and confirm all was well! Competitively priced and super quick response!

Great experience. Called same day service, originally said within next two hours. Someone called back pretty much right away saying a tech could be at my home in 30 mins. Friendly and knowledgable tech (Gabe). Took care of my issue. Only non positive was the sticker shock, fairly steep. However it was done quickly and efficiently so I can get over the high price for quality work that gets results. Definitely give them a call if I have any future issues.

We had a main drain issue on a Sunday afternoon. Andrew 2766 from Roto-Rooter was at our home within 2 hours of us calling in the issue. Andrew and his co-worker were able to take care of the issue with no problems. Since this happened on a Sunday we were expecting to pay the price for it but it was reasonably priced.

Floor drain problem was quickly diagnosed by Brian and his trainee; main sewer line was cleared preventatively and at half cost (good thing too, since there were roots). All work was done very professionally and in a timely manner.Technician and his trainee were very respectful and explained all the work that they had done and gave us steps for preventing further issues with the main drain.We will certainly use them again and would recommend them without any doubt.

I called for an estimate, knowing it’s $69. Just to come out and look at the project. It involves moving a washer & dryer from a storage area that’s next to the utility room and plumbing them right in the utility room with all the Elec, water, gas right there. Estm was about $15,000! Roto Rooters sent Jacob to my place to have a drain fixed that was backing up. He did an excellent job and was very kind. I was also able to use a coupon to help reduce the price. Before any work was started I was given the estimate and everything the costs included. Overall a good experience.

I thought the whole process was seamless and very convenient, made an appointment, they were able to get out right away, and my technician was exactly on time. The only issue was that I literally had no ball park estimate of what the service was going to cost. They said they do an individual assessment at the location, and I understand that, but I had no idea how to compare the cost of the service- could have been 100.00 or 300.00 and ended up being a lot more then I hoped it would be.

We’ve used them before for routine matters and emergencies. This was one of the latter. I called at 9 pm, got a prompt email confirmation, they were out 8:30 am next morning and solved problem in about 20 minutes. Very satisfied.

Water in the basement around the drain must mean it is finally Spring and the tree roots are active again. A call Saturday morning connected me to a person to schedule service within 2 hours. After 45 minutes, I received a follow up call assuring me that she was waiting for a team to finish up. Another 20 minutes and Jesse and Kyle arrived. They were very professional, and over the next 3 hours managed to pull out an entire garbage bag of tree roots. While initially, the fixed price seemed steep, as more and more roots came out, I was happy to have the fixed price! They cleaned up nicely, and our drains are running again.

Called Roto Rooter due to a sewage backup in my basement. The appointment was scheduled immediately and I received a call with a 30 min heads up on arrival, which was extremely helpful.The service tech, Brian, was very respectful of my home and knowledgeable. He walked me through what the entire process would be, what the potential issue could be and proceeded to do the work while I went on with my morning. Upon my return, Brian explained to me exactly what the issue was and ran a few tests to ensure the issue was handled so I wouldn’t have to deal with this moving forward. He also explained what could be done to prevent this in the future. Rest assured that, if Brian is in your home doing the work, you’re in good hands.

Shower was backed up and water drained extremely slow (took 5 hours or more). Made an appointment online that was confirmed with the technician arriving between 10am-12pm. Didn’t hear anything from them until well after this period to notify me they wouldn’t be there. Finally got a call hours later to say they don’t have anyone but can send someone when they become available. Ok fine. Well that was 8pm. Technician was fine but $430 to snake a drain? Do your research and find somewhere else. That is literally insane pricing. The issue was fixed but for how long, who knows. The tech mentioned he wanted to take out part of the pipe to clean it out but that it would make a mess so he wasn’t going to do that. So now I bet this will be an issue again soon and we’ll have paid $430 for a bandaid fix or just snaking the drain.

Mike was prompt, courteous, and professional. He was upfront with potential problems but didn't have us worrying. He took care of the immediate clog problem and advised us on the proper next steps. Great service, will definitely call on them again if we need a plumber.

The carpet and wall were found to be wet in our family room. We could not find the source of the leak and assumed it was a sewer line issue. A field supervisor did the initial assessment and the drain technician confirmed it was not sewer line related. They dispatched a plumber and he found an issue with the stack pipe in the wall and repaired it.All throughout the process we we’re consulted and advised. I felt their service was fair and did not feel pressured at anytime. I recommend then highly.

Brian or John, here it is June and I can't get ahold of anyone at Roto rooter. Still waiting for the sidewalk in front of my house to get fixed. Maybe it was the city's plumbing problem and not ours? So what really happened? Did the roto rooter guys take us for granted? Did they take the money from us for their pockets? I will not recommend this company if all they do is screw people over.

Technician Kevin was at our house within hours of calling. He provided exceptional customer service and did great work. He was patient with questions and took his time to explain all our options. Have never had a problem that Roto Rooter couldn't solve, quickly and effectively. Received an email and phone call to let me know when and who would be providing the service and Mike, the technician, was right on time. He had to drill through my new siding to install the faucet but took the time to find a piece of matching wood from among scraps left by the siding crew, to perfectly patch the hole and seal the faucet. Really happy with the results and service.

We had issues with our sewer line and had water backing up in the basement. We had Roto-Rooter come out after seeing the high rating on Google and we are happy we did. They sent Adam to our house and he was very friendly and easy to get along with. Adam was very knowledgeable and had tons of useful information on the issue. We have used Rotorooter 3 times since moving into our home. They do a great job of getting the job done. We have roots in our sewer main, and they spend hours making sure to get it all out. They also cleaned up some backed up sewage and it looked like it never happened. For the amount of work they do it's worth the price. Highly recommend.

They offered same day service and Showed up within the hour and took care of my issue and also was very informative on the product I was using to clear my drain. The operator refused to price services other then the service call even though the technician had a list of services and prices. Presumably to disable price comparison of the exorbitant fee structure. While the tech was amiable and knowledgeable I was asked to sign a damage waver prior to starting service and of course unrelated repairs were mandated due to damages that did not exist at the time of the call.

We had to wait several hours from our initial phone call but as promised ‘Fred’ arrived within the promised time period. He is an excellent technician and repair man. Additionally he is very professional and courteous. He did the job, cleaned up, and offered good advice for future well being. Our ‘Roto’ history goes back 27 years.

Had a clogged up shower drain that I've used Liquid Plumber on a few times before. However, even that wouldn't work to clear out whatever was clogging up my drain now.Steve (#655) was courteous, knowledgeable, and friendly as he explained to me what the issue was and quickly fixed it. Furthermore, he explained to me some preventative measures that I could take in the future in order to help stop this from happening again.Also, I was very happy that I could schedule someone to come out on Sunday morning on Saturday afternoon with no issues. I was expecting to have to wait at least a few days before they could fit me in.I was very happy with this service and would use it again in a heartbeat.

We called at 8:30 am on a Sunday morning, after having a back-up at 1 am that morning. Roto-Rooter had a technician out to us within an hour. The technician (Andrew) was polite, knowledgable and helpful. He explained our sewer system to me in terms I quickly understood, and then explained the costs of cleaning out the lines with a sewer snake. We have approximately a 180 foot set back from the city sewer and they would have to run 200 feet of line to clean it.Our system was unclogged quickly and efficiently. He also gave us tips on clean up and preventing future problems. Andrew then called out another technician Luke, to show us our system with a camera- this was included without extra-charge. Both agents wanted to be sure we did not have any trouble again, and followed the sewer pipe to the street where they found that a possible cause of the backup was from the city sewer. They guided me in contacting the city and requesting maintenance which was prompt in part because of their explanation. After the city sewer department cleaned out our city sewer line at the access point I spoke with Frank at the downtown office because I was concerned that the problem might come back. He arranged for Andrew and Luke to return to make sure everything was free and clear in our sewer line without any extra charge. I can't tell you how happy I am with this service. Thank you all!Our total cost was $762, and I would definitely use this company and their agents again. They have set a standard for professionalism and customer service that I have not seen in years.

Technician was on time, and very competent. He took great care to assure he kept the drain area clean. he also took great care to instruct us on how to empty out laundry tubs prior to opening the floor drain so we had no sewer back-up. Answered all questions competently and thoroughly.

Todd came out today to reconnect our laundry room sink after we had our drains cleaned out. He walked us through the steps needed to complete the job, offered us several options on how we could proceed and didn't try to pressure us into anything we didn't need. We were so impressed we even asked him to complete some other plumbing work while he was here. I would definitely work with Todd at Roto Rooter again and recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and knowledgeable plumber.

I have used this company before for different issues. I’m impressed with their responsiveness, professionalism, knowledge (as I own an older home) and how genuinely nice the technicians have been. Only once did I have a technician who we disagreed about an issue. But in hindsight it wasn’t a big deal. I definitely will use them again and would refer them to my friends for their plumbing needs. They may be a little bit more expensive than other companies, but I’ve been very pleased with their results.

Our plumber showed up within 1 hour of our initial call and was very courteous and professional. Despite some equipment difficulties due to sub zero temps, our problem was resolved and he even fixed some other issues that had been left by a previous plumber, all while sticking to his initial estimate. Having an overall awful experience with the 24 hour service from roto rooter. Two Fridays in a row I have scheduled plumbing service between 4-8p and both times they failed to deliver. The first time they sent a drain technician (after I had waited 4 hours) who had no clue how to do what was needed to fix the problem. I do not blame this on the technician as he was just going where he was sent, he was a nice guy. The second time I waited for almost 6 hours and no one showed up, I had to call them to see what was going on because they couldn't even be bothered to let me know they were running behind. I should add that they charge an extra $169 for this so-called emergency service. I would love to have them come help me during regular hours during the week, but unfortunately that hasn't worked with my schedule, so I figured I'd take advantage of these services. I understand technicians get busy, but why offer 24 hour emergency service if you cannot actually deliver this?

We had a technician (Andrew) come out and unclog another drain in our house. He was just as courteous and professional as the previous technician and provided excellent service. We will continue to use their services and would recommend them to friends and family.

Very frustrating experience. Made appointment on line. Was supposed to get a confirmation email - nothing. 4 hours later I called to confirm, was told I would need to talk with a dispatcher but all lines were busy, I was told they would call me back, never called back. Two days later I missed a 7:30 call for dispatcher, I called him back and he explained I didn't get back to him right away so I was down on the list, but they finally arrived 12:45p two days after making appointment. Plumber looked and quoted $675 to fix water pipe leak. What do I do now, needed it fixed, told him to go ahead. Plumber was driving away shortly after 2:00p and I had a bill for $38 in parts $637 in labor - was nice enough to apply a $50 discount - Total bill $625, outrageous. I will never call Roto Rooter again. Poor communication extremely overpriced.

Considering it's a bummer to have to call for any reason, our technician made it painless. Fred, tech # 4155, was very kind, considerate, and knowledgeable. Even though it ended up being a quick fix, he explained so much. Super nice guy. The company as a whole was great, giving call backs to keep us informed about ETA and such. Would highly recommend.

I had my floor drain back up into my laundry room. I contacted Roto-Rooter and specified using a camera to inspect this line and the main line and then clear them out. I again verified this when the techs arrived. When I asked what they found they said they did not know. I asked what the camera showed and they said they did not have a camera.The drain is now draining, so that part is good, but I'm a little irritated that I did not get my lines inspected pre or post cleaning to know what it looked like down there.Update:The company contacted me and wanted to send a technician out to perform the camera inspection of my lines. Jesse came out and he was great. He is very personable. It showed my floor drain and main line to be completely patent and in great shape. The initial drain cleaning did the job and now I have proof it all looks good. Thanks!

The cost of the service was determined before any work began and the service was quick. The price gets a bit higher with each visit -- a year or two between visits -- so that would be my only complaint. And even then, I was able to use a $$ coupon so that helped offset the increase. I highly recommend Roto-Rooter.

My shower faucet started pouring water even when the knob was off. I had to turn my water off and I scheduled for a next day appointment later in the day. The Plumber, Chris, called me in the morning asking for more info and offered to come earlier! He gave me an initial estimate over the phone and again when he arrived and did an initial look. He had some difficulty fixing it at first and let me know what could potentially be the problem and next steps and potentially changes in pricing if he had to replace the whole thing. He was able to get it fixed though and it came out to be exactly how much he initially quoted! Great help, kept me in the loop and was very professional.If I have issues again or wanna get something looked at - I will be using Roto-Rooter again!

Gervais was super helpful and knowledgeable. Really had to work on getting the cover off and working on hold pipes, but was able to unclog main drain and clean up after himself. So nice and be patient.

If I could give them zero stars, I would. By far the worst and most unprofessional experience I've ever, and I'd say borderline FRAUDS! I had them out because I suspected my shower needed a new shower cartridge. A guy came out and spent a -maximum- of five minutes here, from start to the time he collected $69 from me. He was on his cell phone half the time speaking to his daughter...very unprofessional. He didn't take the shower faucet or anything off to see what the issue is. He simply looked at the faucet and set up. He said it'd cost a MINIMUM of $1,400, not including how I'd have to have another company come in to tear up a huge chunk of my tiled wall then put it back up. Ripping out my hand-laid tile wall for what I suspected to be a pretty minor operation?? INSANE! I decided to get a second-opinion and am sure glad I did. I told them how I thought it was the shower cartridge and what brand of shower I had. They showed up with the part and the bill came to $600 between parts and labor. Didn't need to rip out tile or anything. Roto-Rooter is unprofessional, doesn't listen to you, and clearly doesn't know what they're doing. Absolutely horrible! I would never recommend them to anyone.

Roto rooter was responsive but pricey. Over $300 for less than an hour of work (sewer line clean out from front yard clean out ports). The sewer camera technician was unprofessional (language) and pushed for an immediate $6200 sewer repair. He claimed the sewer line was completely failed but would not give me a copy of the camera recording for a second opinion or further review.Update: Review raised to 4 stars because of Roto Rooter's genuine concern and after-the-fact customer service.

The service I required was completed satisfactorily and professionally with a friendly plumber.Dispatcher called to notify me that the plumber was on the way and would be there in 30 minutes, but they did not arrive until nearly 2 hours later. I had to call and confirm that they were still coming.The cost was higher than expected, but I guess that's what I get for same-day (non-emergency) service without shopping around, and forgetting to use the coupon!Edit: Customer service contacted me and applied the coupon retroactively. Yay!

I called Roto-Rooter, and had a tech at my house within an hour. Fast, efficient, courteous, and affordable. I was able to use a coupon to get a significant discount. I also appreciated how responsive they were to the COVID-19 protocols. They practiced social distancing, wore protective coverings, and followed other protocols to keep everyone safe.

We've needed to call Roto-Rooter twice since we purchased our 100+ year old house. Once on a Sunday late afternoon (when family was in town and with a sick baby), and once Christmas Day. They are always professional. They are wonderful and friendly even on weekends and holidays when dealing with stressed-out homeowners. The most recent Sunday afternoon technician (Steve #655) cleaned out the first floor kitchen drain quickly and efficiently. We wouldn't work with any other plumbers!

Amazing job. Came in within an hour of calling. Very polite. Went to work clearing the 2” drain from our sink upstairs to downstairs. My equipment wasn’t strong enough but he was able to clear the blockage within an hour and was most professional about the job. Explained what it could’ve been, products to avoid and cleaned up with he was done.

This place gets 1 star for the absolute abomination of an estimate. The job was to connect the already installed garbage disposal to the reaming plumbing after I installed a new sink. The plumber looked under the sink for 30 secs and came up with cost of $731 for labor and parts will be extra so it will come out to about $800 total. The plumber was confused that I thought the price was to high and mentioned it would take him 2 hours to finish the job and he was giving me a $25 discount for having the garbage disposal already installed. So if you're comfortable paying $365.50 an hour Rooter Router is the place for you, but in my case I sent him packing and reluctantly payed the $69 estimate fee.Here is a photo of the job I needed done. I'm pretty sure any plumber would find this to be one of the easiest jobs they have ever had to do, and the only way to justify an $800 price tag is if the new pipes were lined with gold.

Calling the plumber has never been on my list of favorite things to do. I’ll DIY until I reach the limit of things that are reasonable to contemplate. At that point, the kind of good professional work that these guys do is critical and appreciated.

They were able to send out a professional right away and they were able to clear out my main drain out to the street quickly. Very profession and knowledgeable, will call them again!

Very quick service. Worked with a warranty company to get our water heater replaces. Returned the next day with the new water heater, very carefully maneuvered it down narrow basement steps. Very meticulous about not damaging the walls or steps while doing so. Answered all of our many questions, very knowledgeable and helped us understand the working of the water heater, safety features, and city codes. Respect and very easy installer to have in our home for about 3 hours. Will ask for Mike 1968 next time we need any kind of plumbing work done. Pleasant surprise to learn Roto Rooter did more than sewers.

Roto-Rooter did an excellent job with sewage and water backup I had in my basement. I called them late on a Sunday night, to schedule an appointment for Monday morning. They gave me an 8-12 timeframe, and they were at my place by 8:30. Brian was the technician that assisted at my place. He was knowledgeable, friendly and very informative about the issues that created the backup. He got to work right away, and finished the job in a timely fashion. Brian also gave some good advice to help prevent further issues, and you could tell he had my best interests in mind. He then called in a another employee with a camera and we had clay pipes!!!! Tone was our technician and arrive within 30 minutes of our call on a Saturday evening. He was extremely friendly and professional. Our drain was unclogged within 40 minutes and he helped explain appropriate next steps because our sewer drain was compromised by tree roots.Without a doubt we will call and request Tone to come back out for any issues we have in the future!

The floor drain in my basement was backing up pretty severely, so I called Roto-Rooter on a recommendation. They were able to send someone out within 2 hours from when I called, and I received a call back when the tech was 20 minutes away. Joe (tech #2475) arrived 20 minutes after that call. He was super nice and very professional. After some testing to ensure what needed to be done, he gave me a couple of options with prices, I picked one, and he got right to work. The drain is now working great, and the work is guaranteed for 6 months.One thing to know going in is that they are a bit on the pricey side. I almost took away a star for this, but I had to remind myself that they are available 24/7, arrived within hours, and did good work, so that's what you're paying for. If you decide to go with them check their website for a coupon; I managed to save a little bit this way.

Had water backing up and coming up through the drain in my laundry room. Found Roto-Rooter online and was able to quickly schedule an appointment the next morning. A time frame of 8am to 12pm was given. Was called the next morning around 9am and told the technician would be there in 30 min. Brian the technician arrived about 1/2 hour later, asked me a few questions about my plumbing issue and then inspected it. It was determined there was blockage in the main line and he quickly got to work clearing it. Afterwards he went over the work he done offered tips to keep the drain clear. I can now run a full load of laundry without worrying about my laundry room flooding. Great job.

2 hour job. Installed a Kitchen faucet cartridge for a KWC model. (I provided the cartridge). Replaced an outside garage spigot, and installed a ball valve drain which code called for. Work was good, but the PRICE was shocking high...$1771 in labor + $213 in parts. A discount of $143...grand total of $1,840. That's $920 an hour. I will be looking for a new plumber

I called to have the floor drain looked at. Schedule an appointment for afternoon. I was called back and let know that we could have this done early in the morning. Very professional and Timely. I'm giving them a 3 beacuse of the price. Brian was great and was very professional. He gave us a little deal on cleaning 3 basement floor drains. The bill was still $600 for about an hour of his time and it was not an emergency call either. Come to find out the drain we called about only had a little debris and the solution was to slow the water down by using a plug with holes or jackhammer the floor to put in a bigger pipe. It wasn't his fault but we still have the same problem and spent all that money. I talked to my brother-in-law that is a plumber he said he would only charge $130 bucks for each branch drain. Very professional but maybe you'll want to shop around for a better price.

Darrell at RotoRooter was very determined to give the best service. He reviewed my previous service calls, asked questions and was full of helpful information. Excellent service! I gave 4 stars because I scheduled online the first time and nobody showed up, definitely call to make the appointment.

Roto-rooter was quick to respond and came in a timely manner. However, with the nature of this kind of work, no prices were given over the phone so you're stuck paying whatever they're charging or you're stuck with the service fee which was $69. For the amount of time it took to perform the service, 30mins, $525, in my opinion was excessive, which was to cut out a pipe and add in another pipe and two valves under the sink. The tech also would not acknowledge their $60 coupon stating he was already giving me a deal. Quite unimpressed.

The Tech arrived 1 hr and 20 minutes later than promised. I was quoted $503 by the on-sight Tech. The Tech was on premises for 1 hour and 5 minutes. Manager said “we don’t give quotes over the phone but if it takes 1 hour or 4 hours the price is the same.” This pricing model makes no sense. Hopefully there will not be a next time, but if there is, I’m not using Roto-Rooter.

I have given them a 5 star recently but am recanting my review. I was told that my clay sewer pipe had a break into it. To dig and place a liner would have cost 13000$. We decided to get a second opinion. Ran the Sewer rat scoped the drain noting a large ball of roots. He pushed his camera through to the main city line. Then he cleaned it out. There was no break in the line. It cost 300$ for scoping and cleaning. Jacket gave use a before and after video.Root rooter is no good in their practice and they charged 500$ for the “clean out” do no go with this company. I do not recommend them.

Late on a Saturday our family of 8 was in dire need. Roto Rooter answered right away and setup a plumber to get to us asap, approximately 3 hours from 1st call. The service by Travis was professional, courteous and explained along the way.Can't really comment on price as I did not comparison shop. I can say though I called another plumber 1st and after several clicks and 2 people taking my address and # info I was disconnected by their switchboard and never called back.

I called Roto Rooter on my way home from work and was able to get a plumber sent out to me right away. I explained that the main drain of our home was backing up and I thought it probably needed to be cleaned out. Jon arrived to our home within about 1.5 hours from when I called and was very professional. He instantly confirmed what I suspected, the main drain needed a good cleaning. Jon explained to me what he would do and gave me an upfront price and broke down the cost. Within 1.5 hours the main drain was cleaned out and Jon was on his way. Roto-Rooter provided fantastic service with a very last minute request. They arrived within the window of time I was promised and even called to let me know they were running a little behind schedule. The technician (Nathan - tech 92) wore protective shoe coverings throughout our home and even covered the wheels of a machine he brought in. My house was just as clean as it was when he arrived. The technician resolved the issue after trying a handful of options and explained everything very clearly and transparently (including the cost of everything). I will definitely use roto-rooter again!

I Had a blockage in my plumbing in my basement. I called around 11 am they had a very clean polite knowledgeable plumber to my house by 1pm. I took him no time to fix my issue also gave me helpful advise tips and things I could do to prevent my problems. 10/10 Would Highly Recommend Tone because of his excellent work!!

My main drain had been backing up periodically when I had water being was drained from the laundry and dishwasher at the same time. Roto-Rooter figured out where the obstruction was and cleaned the drain of a large amount of tree roots. They then used a video camera to show me the current condition of the pipe. They will soon be lining the 70 year old clay pipe with an inflatable epoxy tube that will prevent more of the clay pieces to fall into the interior of the drain pipe.

The professional showed up on time and quickly diagnosed what was needed. Wore covers on his shoes and was mindful of the house. Standard price that was reasonable and didn’t try to upcharge. Completed the drain clean in under 30mins and included quality check on his work. Will call again if need arises.

Both techs I worked with, Spence Hardy and Jesse Vasterling, were AMAZING. Knowledgeable, incredibly friendly and efficient. They understood and validated the substantial nature of my problem and were sensitive to my concern over both expense and time frame. They reassured me that everything would be taken care of and done right, and if I had any issues before my project, to call and they would come out right away. You definitely get what you pay for. We've had 4 clogged lines in the last 2 years, the other plumbers hadn't ever found the main line stack access, they were just snaking from the kitchen or bathroom drain and hoping it would clear.We found we had a mainline clog at 10pm on a Sunday night because most of a washing machine worth of water backed up the floor drain. Called around for someone who was available, no one could get out yet that night, but I was able to schedule an appointment online for an 8am window the next morning, online confirmation and a text message. Got a text before the service window I'd selected to confirm we still needed help, then a text from the plumber with an ETA.Gabe was friendly as well as very knowledgeable, knew what he was looking for and guided questions to find the stack clean out which was well hidden, and had figured out enough of our plumbing structure to know where we should look. He got down to business and had the drain cleared in around 30 minutes, and is the first of 4 drain cleaning companies to actually pull a clog out of the line, rather than just pressuring the line until the drain cleared.Certainly not a $99 special, (we paid $430 for the main line cleaning), but worth the money to have peace of mind that the issue was actually solved, rather than just clearing the symptoms.

We had a clogged floor drain and our Plumber Jim #1235 did a fantastic clearing the clog and kept us informed of what he was doing and why along with be very personable with our kids and didn't mind our noisy dog! We were also impressed when we called on Saturday they were able to work us in on Sunday morning. We definitely would recommend working with Roto Rooter again

I had main drain cleaning two years ago from rotor rooter. It was a wonderful experience.They came out quickly. Used some kind of pressure tool. Done in under 30 min.This time was different. I gave one star for responding the same day. The service persontook 3 hours repeatedly snaking the drain. Everything taken out was left in little piles on the floor. A person came out to look at water around the drain. About 6 foot diameter, concrete floor, not touching any wall. They said they could clean it up for $4000.00. Told them I’d find someone else. After the service person was done, another water person came out. Said “ I hear you’re concerned about water damage on walls”. The cost for cleaning the drain was over $400.00.

Yes they did what I needed, replaced a garbage disposal. However knowing I would pay 99.00 for them just coming out if they didn't do the work I was already on the hook when I found out it would cost a little over 900.00. That was a huge surprise but they do not give estimates over the phone as I find several others do not give estimates over the phone either. So 900 some dollars later I had a what I hope is a new garbage disposal, I was not left with any registration materials. It works. Sometimes lessons learned are expensive, if anyone can learn from this one, that would be great.The above choice does not accurately describe my situation but was the closest

Derek responded to my need for the kitchen sink. He was cordial and knowledgeable to answer all my questions. He said it may take up to an hour to snake the kitchen drain but he was done sooner. Clean up and care to the area. I was fortunate to have a coupon applied to the cost. He also checked the bathroom sink drain but he felt it appeared just the way it should. He didn't snake that but did his examination to it. He did not hurry through any of this. We have used Roto Rooter in the past and always call them when needed.

I called for service on a Saturday morning and they gave me a two-hour arrival window starting with the time of my call! Others had quoted me times for the following Monday. The service tech was friendly, professional, and explained every step. He finished the job quickly and then gave me some tips to help prevent future problems. He was very careful with carpet, cleaned up, and covered his equipment in and out of the basement. I was very happy with this company and will definitely use them again.

I set up an appointment for a range of 8am -12pm. I received a call 10 am saying I'm next and a technician should be there shortly. John called me at noon to say he is sending a guy at should be there within the half hour. I called at 1255pm stating that I need to leave for work at 130pm and I'm not happy with the service. The technician arrived and Brian #936 was fabulous. He knew I was in a time crunch and he immediately went to work. The problem was resolved quickly but the waiting and the lack of customer service was horrible. Brian #936 was wonderful!!! I repeat awesome but John lack of caring of me taking a half day from work, all he could say to me was I understand your frustration, Never did he say How can I help you It was just I can reschedule. How about, What can I do for you Erick, how about I take 20,30, 50, 100$ of your bill! Something? NOTHING, Other than I'm sorry, should i reschedule? If it wouldn't of been for Brian I would of not used your service. He was great, warm, super friendly to me and my wife, and gave us useful information for the future. He was great and your customer service people were terrible. So I paid my bill in full (350.00) and would never use your service again, only if Brian was the technician.

Our main line was clogged and been flooding our laundry every time we did a load of laundry. I called thinking I would get a recording because I figured they would be closed. I got an actual person that helped schedule a man to come and fix it that night. The worker Jim arrived with in less than a hour of us calling and he was able to fix it that night. The work was great, Ray did an awesome job on the pipe that was leaking. However the reason I gave only 4 stars is the customer service. I called and set up an appointment at 4-8pm and got a call stating that they would not be able to do that so got changed to 1-3pm, at 15 min after 3 I had to call them and they told me there would be ca call in a half hour and then an hour after that I had to call them again. So the job itself was great the phone customer service needs lots of work.

Josh (#4348) did an excellent job of clearing the drain and explaining the treatment that we got. He knew when we last had a treatment done, so could tell us that the chemical had expired, so we needed a new one. He got the job done rather fast and even cleaned up backup sludge from the basement floor. Very professional and courteous.

Flat fee for their time spent here (which was a lot) and Kyle was really nice and patient. Needed a second opinion fast on a job site. Roto-Rooter was able to send someone out same day and gave us quote. Really appreciate how prompt their response was.

Brian came out to take care of the sewer backup and then came back out a couple days later to take care of a floor drain that was backed up. He was professional, explained the services and options worked quickly and efficiently and was not fazed by my screaming children upstairs.

We have them over annually to clean out our roots from our drains, and occasionally for other issues like blocked drains. They're always prompt (same day service), courteous, and they do their work well. Fred was over this round and he was quick and polite. All around, always happy with these guys.

$500 flat fee per drain feels abusive when you consider it takes less than an hour to snake a drain.

TLDR: Do not hire Roto Rooter. They are more interested in getting additional money from you and pressuring you into replacing lines that do not actually need to be replaced.I hired Roto Rooter to clear a drain in my basement. My main line has issues with tree roots, so I also decided to ask that they clear that line as a preventative while they were at it, to avoid needing to call someone in the future. I have had various companies do this type of work for me, and this was BY FAR the worst experience I have ever had.When the technician arrived, they stated that the price to clear both drains would be $700. This is the most I have ever been quoted for this work, but in the interest of my own convenience, I decided to just move forward and asked them to proceed.Shortly after, a “site supervisor” showed up, and asked to be shown to the basement. I explained someone was already working on the drains, and he told me he was there to help. Shortly after this, another “site supervisor” showed up, and I showed them downstairs as well. The three of them spent over an hour in my basement “working” on the main line. My office is directly above where they were working, and they were mostly socializing while the technician worked on the drain.After about an hour, I went down to see how things were going. Nobody had even started on the line that was actually blocked, and I was told that they were not having any luck clearing the main line (this line was never even blocked, the work they were requested to do was preventative). I asked if they would please work on the line that was actually backed up, and they said they would get to that next.After another 30 minutes, I was told once again that they were having “no luck” getting the main line cleared. The site supervisor put a camera down the main line (which looked quite clear) and found a junction that they stated “needed to be replaced.”Finally, both site supervisors left, and the technician started on the drain that was actually blocked. They spent about 15 minutes on it, before calling back one of the site supervisors. Once again, the technician stated that I needed to replace the line as it was collapsed, and that this would require opening the basement floor. He tried to get me to commit to them doing the work the following day, and I told him I would need to think about it. Both the technician and site supervisor left.In the end, I paid $700 to not fix my problem, and be told that $15k-$20k of additional work was needed to fix the problems.I hired someone else to get a second opinion. They cleared the blocked drain for $250, and verified that I did not need to replace any drain lines.Working with Roto Rooter was an awful experience. They used pressure to try and coerce additional work and money from me, and didn't even address the issue I initially asked them to.

Very quick and friendly service even late a night. I like how they didn't charge an extra fee to come out late at night, was thinking of putting it off till next day but when I found out the charge is the same decided to get it done right away, 9:30pm at night. Guy arrived very quickly and was very courteous. It cost a bit more than other companies for clearing the sewage main but they checked it with a snake camera which was nice to see what the pipes looked like. It seems worth paying a bit more to get a good cleaning of the sewage main.

We had a plugged sink and plumbing for four days before calling. Our kitchen flooded and so did our dishwasher. They arrived promptly and fixed our issue in less than half an hour. We had tried everything under the sun to get the clog out ourselves. I hope I dont have to deal with anymore plumbing issues again, but I will definitely call RotoRooter if I need plumbing done! Our laundry floor drain was backing up, and we were able to get a same day appointment. We were given a two hour time window, but we also got a courtesy call 30 minutes before the tech arrived, which was really helpful. The tech had the problem identified quickly, and was in and out in less than an hour. I wish it wasn't so pricey, but the service was good.

It was easy to get an appointment and they showed up on time. The procedure was explained and the estimated cost was up front. The cleaning to about an hour and the service person and his apprentice did a 5 star job.

Quick, knowledgeable and helpful. Services seem pricey, but I don’t know the going rate for unclogging sinks. Rates may be comparable to others, but I’m not sure. They came in under two hours on a Saturday so it was worth it.

I had requested a quote for a tub drain, overflow, and faucet installation. My plumber Ray was fantastic. I would give him 5 stars. He was respectful, professional, and did a great job installing everything. He also cleaned up and gave me some tips on what I should do with a couple other things in my bathroom. The price was also the best quote I got. The only thing I had a problem with was my appointment being cancelled twice after I waited around at home for 2 days. Luckily I can work from home but my contractor also waited around in case the plumber needed anything those 2 days. My hope is they can get more plumbers to work on their overflow of jobs or get better at predicting the schedule but I know that predicting customer flow isn't always possible.

Let me start by saying the service was very good and the technician was great. What I am not happy about is that we called to see how much it would cost and they would not tell us coven a range. The technician would let us know when he got on site. So, we waited about 2-3 hours for the technician to arrive. He brought in his equipment and then told us it would cost 430 dollars. Regardless if they were there for 30 min or longer. So, we felt that we were trapped and kinda bait and catch. I know we could have had the sewer cleaning done for less after I got the price on site. This company should be able to tell you rough estimates based on this standard service. If someone were to ask me for a referral on needing this work done I would tell them they do a good job but you could probably get a more economical rate by another company.

The technicians that cam to put house were very informative of what was going on and did an amazing job breaking down how everything was going to work! 10/10 would recommend!

That charge is nothing more than highway robbery.Bill was smug and unpleasant as a service provider I welcomed into my home. His communication skills are abrasive, irritating, annoying and in keeping with everything you'd expect from an un-educated tradesman.$686.92 later I have a leaking shower head.

I called Roto Footer for a clogged drain in our laundry room. The receptionist was able to schedule a same day service. I received a call before the tech arrived to our home. Al was very professional and knowledgeable. He cleared the drained pretty quick and cleaned up after himself. He made sure the clog was gone as well. The service tech Jesse was on time and extremely polite and professional. He explained to me what was going on and answered all of my questions. The previous homeowner had made some unique modifications to things and Jesse was able to work around his handy work. He cleaned up after himself like he had never been here and was out of my house in no time.

Brad arrived on time and did a great job fixing our plumbing issue (main drain clean out) Brad was courteous and respectful of our home and left his work area neat and clean. Brad took his time and didn’t seem to be in a rush to get the job done. I would definitely call Roto Rooter again in the future.

Today, Memorial Day, we had Roto-Rooter out in the morning to unclog our main line. We had called the evening before and were able to get a next day appointment. The job at our house required multiple Roto-Rooter professionals. Each one was friendly, honest, and knowledgeable. They all worked to clear up the issue promptly. I signed up for an appointment online, right down to a fairly narrow time window. Got a call before said window with a more exact time. The tech, Jeff, showed up right on time, looked over my issue, knew exactly what to do, and gave me a fair quote. The work was done within a couple of hours, and I was all set. We had two drains that needed clearing - first off, they were VERY accommodating with our schedule. We only had a small window of when we got home from work & when our infant twins go to bed to have someone come in. Rotorooter understood our situation and had someone at our door in one hour. Dave was awesome - super professional, quick, didn't get annoyed with our questions and got the job done. Used a coupon that got $50 off our bill which was also nice. Will use them again in the future for our plumbing needs!

We had a very clogged drain. My husband and I are very handy so we went to work. An embarrassingly lengthy amount of time later, we gave up. We had only made the clog worse. I called on a Sunday expecting to pay an emergency fee. It’s a Sunday after all, that sort of a fee would be justified. This isn’t a true emergency. But, to my surprise, there wasn’t one and they said they could come out within 2 hours. Awesome! 3 hours came and went. I called again. Turns out they had called me from a number that mimics mine (and so was flagged as spam by my phone) and I missed it so they didn’t come. To their credit, I looked at my phone log and they tried 3 times and said my voicemail was full. My mistake. Then they said they could send someone as soon as someone became available. Roughly 2 more hours later, someone came out. He spent almost an hour getting out the clog (which actually made me feel better about my own ineptness at being able to solve this issue). Overall aside from the phone snafu and delay getting someone out, this was a good experience and I got a drain fixed on a Sunday. It was much more expensive than I anticipated but I think it was the going rate for the work and it turns out I’m no plumber so I didn’t have much of a choice. Now I have a working drain with a 6 month guarantee!

the water cleanup was excessively expensive . $4,000!They push complete rip out of drywall even when not needed.After we had signed the final paperwork we found a closet they had missed. It was flooded with sewer water. The technician was kind enough to come back and clean it up on his own time But no fans or drywall cutting even though it had been sitting there for a week since they missed it. They said to cut the drywall and get fans in there they would need to sign another contract.

Great job tearing out & plumbing a new basement floor drain. Was a job I had put off for years because of the trouble & expense but the RR team (demo expert & plumber) did it quickly & professionally .March 2019 update: I made an appointment online that was verbally confirmed by their dispatch. Then, as I was home waiting for the plumber, I was notified that we're too busy to come out today. Yes they do emergency services like water issues many are having with the sudden snow melt, so WHY say you make other appointments?? It's apparently just a list for requested service. Big FAIL in customer service. NO stars for that experience.

We had a sewage backup in the basement and needed immediate assistance. Roto-Rooter answered promptly and sent someone to our house within two hours. They were nice, respectful and successfully solved the problem. They also kept me updated on cost as they went. They are a little pricier than some other plumbers, but it was nice to have the immediate assistance.

I called the company number for service to clean out a kitchen drain and asked for an estimate over the phone to which the company representative stated that estimates are not provided over the phone. The technician will provide an estimate upon arrival and inspection of the job. The tech (a nice individual) arrived the following day as scheduled, took a quick look and then stated that the job would $430. I stated that this cost was ridiculous and he stated that the $430 cost is set by the company. If this is the case, then why wouldn't Rotor Rooter provide the customer with an over-the-phone quote?? My rationale: if Rotor Rooter provided the estimate over the phone, customers would be shocked at the cost and decline the service. Instead, Roto Rooter has the technician come to the house, where he/she provides the homeowner with the cost leaving the homeowner over a barrel: have the drain cleaned out or send the tech away and calling another company. Very shady business practice to say the least. If you can't be upfront with company-set rates for specific services, then you are likely not a reputable company. I stood by my principles and sent the technician on his way; called another company and had the drain cleaned out for less than half of what Roto Rooter wanted to charge.

I’ll be nice and give you two stars but nobody should be getting ripped off like this. They tried to charge me 1,500 to replace a toilet.
Ended up getting it done for $300 out the door.

I called for a routine preventative sewer cleaning, just a non-emergency job. From the time I called till the time they sent a worker to my door was like 2 hours, super quick. Figured I'd have to wait a few weeks, maybe I got lucky.The job they quoted me was literally 1/6th the price a competitor quoted me at (a local twin cities big brand plumber who shall remain nameless).The guy they sent over was named Adam, I'm giving him an 11/10. I called on Thursday while on vacation but no one cleaned up until Monday when I heard back that they left without cleaning up. I had to return a day early to get it straightened out. There was much confusion in communication with the person I called, the people who came out that were supposed to clean up the water. Once it got started though everything was great. They worked hard to fix the errors and I was lucky it was clean water. It took a few returns to complete instead of just one trip. Don’t know how they missed the very wet carpet that had tape on it marked to dry out.

We had a main pipe back up and Brian came by within the hr and efficiently fixed it at 10 pm, great guy and great business, appreciate them and will call again whenever needed

Overall I would recommend Roto-Rooter. Brian (#936) was honest about services, upfront about price, did a good job, cleaned up before he left. He seemed very knowledgeable. The only complaint is with the scheduling dispatcher. She did not explain that they would call me before the appointment and if I did not answer they would send the technician to a different job. She asked me if I wanted a call or text and I requested text message communication. She said it was only to tell me when the technician was on their way. So I missed the call (my phone is typically on silent), called back within 5 minutes, but then they couldn't get a hold of the dispatcher who called so they said he would call back. I called back again with 20 minutes left on our 2 hour show up window and the dispatcher finally was able to be reached. He said he hadn't had time to call me back yet (almost 2 hours since I called back the first time) but the technician had gone to another job and would be able to come around 130pm, 1.5 hours after the end of the original show up/service window. We had missed a family event for that time window and all for nothing. I feel like this was a glitch but it was a little annoying. People can't sit at their house all day waiting for service that was scheduled at a certain time. People move things around to make certain times work for you, the business.

There is an 85 year old Maple tree just a few feet from the 85 year old clay sewer main at my house in SE Minneapolis. Every year or two, the roots need to be cleared. Roto-Rooter always does a good job at a fair price. Unlike other discount plumbers, Roto-Rooter doesn't play games with low price initial offers that end up inflating the cost higher than expected. We woke up to a blocked sewer drain in our basement with sewage threatening to spill out all over the floor. I called Roto Rooter and they came out within 2 hours and completed the fix that day. Best quick service that gave us peace of mind!

We had a basement drain that refused to drain. Matt showed up and was able to diagnose the cause of the problem very quickly, give me the estimate and information I needed to proceed, and was able to unclog our drain and provide maintenance tips to avoid it in the future in around an hour. He also followed CDC guidelines for social distancing and mask usage very closely and was careful to not let our pets out. Will go through them again.

I called to have a water softener installed and they would not give me a quote over the phone as they said I had to wait for a tech to come out and look at the job. (I had called around to many places and this seemed pretty standard-they were the most inexpensive service fee so I went with them at $69.) The tech came out and quoted me at $785 which is absolutely absurd for a simple install. Needless to say I went with another company. (Who charges only $140 per hour and advised me that it should not take more than 2 hours for any reason) I am however out the $69 service charge from roto rooter. Do not recommend.

Had a serious plumbing issue on a Saturday afternoon, which also happened to be my birthday. Got on the phone with Roto Rooter and they had a technician over to my house even earlier than they had promised! Brian arrived and was very professional, wearing booties to protect our new carpets. He did an inspection and was very upfront with what he was planning on doing and provided me with the pricing and expectations for his services. He took even more precautions for our new carpet and put booties on his heavy equipment. He fixed the issues and we had our “lives” back in less than an hour! (Since sink and laundry room had slow drain) price is absurd $400+main ,$ 301 bathroom sink, $301 laundry room drain.20/30% off to bring it to the $301.Why is it that roto rooter can seriously gouge customers to death? Service guys are naming any price due to how much work being done with no other customer rep to over look and priced right.1hr jobs turned into 1000+. 15min max on each drain.And also made a mistake not canceling another job of replacing main water valve. After huge price on drain clean.Service guy said water will get all over floor if he does cut into line and replace. Well yeah let’s minimize it with some thought out plan and it won’t be as bad. Gave me a work around in leaving the old valve and putting another before that valve. But pull priced out of thin air before seeing how much work it was going to take $800.$69 for service person to show up was charged after service was not wanted at $800.Not sure what to say about these prices but please contact me.

I tried two other local companies before calling Roto Rooter. But they responded within minutes from the website. They were right on time and communicated with me very well. I’m grateful for their work. Jeffrey was the plumber who helped me.

John-3756 cleaned up a slow floor drain and laundry tub drain. He let me know exactly what he was going to do and the cost. He did a great job and there was no mess left after the job. He was able to come out first thing in the morning so I was thankful for that as well. The only reason they don't get 5 starts is because it's expensive. $500 and about 2 hours to clean out the two drains....although I'm not sure anyone else would have been less expensive. I'd probably still hire them again, good customer service and did a good job!!

We had backup from the laundry drain, but figured the main line may be the real problem. I booked online and the technician, Jordan 7014, was at our house within the first hour of the 4 hour window. He cleaned the main drain and the laundry drain quickly, even though he ran into quite of problem with roots in the main line. But he kept at it, until the line was cleared. I got a call 30 minutes ahead of the technician's arrival and he actually arrived within the 30 minutes. We have cats and he did too, so there was some exchange of cat anecdotes. He diagnosed and fixed the problem -- which was not with the main drain as we had thought, but with the line from the downstairs kitchen to the drain, so I was very glad to have called in people who do both main drains and regular plumbing -- and he cleaned it out. He also pointed out a couple of other issues we might want to get seen to, without any pressure to have Roto-Rooter do it. He was pleasant and got the job done.

We had a back-up of our water main and part of our basement flooded. We called Roto-Rooter around 4:30pm and they had one of their technicians, Brian, there within 45 minutes. Brian was very knowledgeable and quickly diagnosed the issue. He brought in all of this equipment and cleared out the pipes within just a few hours.They also immediately sent one of their restoration specialists, Garrison. He used a device to check what areas of the floor would need to be replaced and he explained the results to us. He was very friendly and reassuring while we discussed how to proceed with restoring the damage.Additionally, they send another employee shortly after (within one day) to run a camera through the pipes to double check there aren’t any further occlusions.Overall, this company is very efficient and they employ kind and knowledgeable staff. I would highly recommend Roto-Rooter, and Brian and Garrison in particular, if you ever have plumbing needs! Don’t hesitate to give them a call.

Overall it was just a very good experience. They were very communicative with me even letting me know that the technician had to take a little extra time to go get a part for a be at the house. They didn’t have to do this because he still was there with in the window of time but it was just nice. And then when Darrell showed up he went right to work was very professional very courteous and very knowledgeable. Everything works perfect now and he even made sure to clean up after himself.

The drain connecting my sink, dishwasher, and washing machine was completely clogged up and needed servicing ASAP. Roto Rooter was able to send someone out as soon as possible and later in the evening than other companies (the first place I called said they could only come out between 7-4, but this company had someone available after 5). Brian was able to get the drain unclogged right away and provided advice on how to keep it from plugging up again.

Andrew came totally prepared and right on time! Our little one clogged the toilet by putting the toilet paper holder down the it and everything was totally backed up. Andrew was super polite, courteous, and really thoughtful. He wore a mask the whole time and put on booties and gloves the moment he walked in the door. As he worked on the toilet he continued to let us know what he was doing and why. He worked fast too! We were so happy with our experience

We were having an issue with our drain, leaving about a half inch of standing water in our basement. Of course it was a Sunday. Our plumber Darrell did great work. He was timely, professional and efficient! I also have to thank him for protecting himself and our family by following current CDC guidelines. Would absolutely go through Rotorooter again if needed, and recommend to others.

Our technician Michael was friendly, honest and efficient. He came to fix a leaky pipe, and ended up pointing out a number of other serious issues with the plumbing system. He was patient during our necessary calls to the home warranty company, and respectful of our time and investment. I didn't have the best interaction with their scheduling/dispatchers, but Michael made up for it with his great service.

My kids clogged a toilet which backed up all other toilets on that level. Called Roto-Rooter at 8pm and they were at my house within 30 min. They were extremely professional, answered all my questions (a lot of them) and fixed the issue. They also only charged me for the work that fixed the issue. I highly recommend them. Other companies were going to charge what they charged just to come out.

Our main line backed up on a Sunday night and they were out here (quickly) within two hours. On the phone Takeisha was friendly and helpful. Alan, the tech, was also great; courteous, clean, careful, thorough, and clear about the whole process. I wish I had never had to call RR, but I’m glad I did.

Our technician Luis came out when we had water backing up into our basement. He was very professional and explained clearly what was going on and what needed to be done. He was always upfront about the cost and made sure to ask before he did anything that would cost more or cause concern.I felt I understood what was going on as he worked through the process and he went above and beyond to make sure the problem was fixed before he left. He stayed until nearly 1 in the morning on Friday night to make sure our pipes worked. Between carrying multiple pieces of heavy equipment up and down the stairs and snaking multiple water main access points he finally was able to clear the clog.What really stood out is the attention to detail when he cleaned up. He put everything back where he found it and if I wasn't there to see it you would hardly know he had even been there.I am happy with the work that was done. It cost about what I expecting for getting emergency work done. Luis did a great job and I would recommend his service to friends and family who are in a pinch.

I called Roto-Rooter for emergency service last night, which the gentleman on the phone was amazing. I appreciated his help. After I explained my issue with him, he told me that your company was able to help and scheduled an emergency service appointment for 10 am today. After that call, I felt relieved.However, no one came at 10 am. In fact, I didn’t receive a call till noon saying that there was a delay. I asked when someone would come out, as I have water damage on my floors, but the customer service rep could not give me an estimate. I understand that some projects might take longer than expected so I was okay with the delay.However, I never received a call. I called back a little after 4 pm and the dispatcher stated that no one was coming today. In fact, he stated that there was a possibility that no one was coming until Sunday.We were planning on going out of town this weekend and now we’ve had to change our plans due to your false advertising of “emergency” service. Also, I had to rework my entire work schedule for this situation because I was told someone was coming.I cancelled the service request because of the lack of respect. If the technicians couldn’t have made it out, I would have expected a call so I could have found another company to fix my issue.The added stress from this situation was avoidable.I hope no one experiences this frustration in the future and that corrective action is taken.

I emailed the city as Roto-Rooter excavated the street and left a mound of dirt on the road blocking our mailbox for the entire weekend, and giving us trouble pulling into/out of our driveway. They had the audacity to approach us and ask why we had an issue with their site.

Had a good experience using Roto-Rooter over a weekend when the main line backed up. Got it cleaned out and scoped within 24 hours, so we're pretty happy. It's a little pricey, but we're happy with the response time and work.

I felt like the technician had a attitude off the top from the time he walked in until he left. And your prices are OUTRAGEOUS! I have had two sump pumps replaced in the last 21 years and not once did it cost $1300 that is almost 3 times the cost to replace. The labor alone is less than 1 hour. I will not use your company nor will I refer you.

I called at 8:45am and our plumber arrived by 10:00am, which was unexpectedly lighting fast. Our plumber, John, was phenomenal. He provided clear diagnosis, solution, and cost/discount options. Many discounts are available on the website but feel comfortable asking for other discounted offers. It was costly for the hour worth of work completed, but I guess that's the price for emergency plumbing work.

Service tech discovered the issue is simply needing the garbage disposal to be replaced. We’re set up to have that fixed and since there was no clog or other drain issue, we were not charged. Today, I woke up to my basement being flooded from the sewage drain backing up. I called Roto- Rooter and within an hour they had Thomas at my house helping me evaluate damage and make a claim with my insurance. I’m a first time home owner, so his help was awesome. Good service, Dave was great! WAY over priced though. Our kitchen drain was frozen, it was thawed in seconds and then I was told “if I have to charge you that much, I might as well snake it too” Seemed quite odd to me. I would have thrown a space heater in there and did it myself. Not trilled to pay so much. $430 bucks to snake a drain? I had a coupon for $75 off which paying $355 was still insane. If we had more time to deal with the situation I would have called a different company.

Can't complain about the service. They were out within 2 hours of calling on a Monday morning. They identified the issue and corrected it promptly. However, they charge by the job as opposed to the hour. Since they corrected the problem quickly it cost me more than paying by the hour. Otherwise, great service and knowledgeable staff that fixed our issue.

We were having some drain problems, called them this morning at 8 and a team of two technicians were here by 9. They spent time explaining some of the possible causes and how we could keep an eye out in the future to diagnose the issue ourselves. They then had everything cleaned out and operational by 10 - even cleaning up nicely when they were done! They were prompt, professional, and very service oriented. They are going into our speed-dial!

Called them out to clean our main drain which backed up. The tech couldn’t clear it all of the way but got the water moving. Two days later it backed up again, they sent the tech back out with the camera guy to inspect the line. Handed me a quote for $16,429 for a collapsed pipe.Called Drain Busters the next day and he cleared the pipe completely, said it was his easiest of the day. Sent the camera down and showed us the pipe in great condition.We’re all in the same boat in our area with big trees and roots in the pipes. Don’t use Roto Rooter at all. They are a predatory service department. I feel bad driving around and seeing them digging up a lot of yards. Crooks.

Had clogged drain pipes down to the street on a Saturday. They were able to stop by within 3 hours to clean my main drain line and came back with a different crew to snake a camera down my drain to find the problem, roots. Both teams were friendly and professional. Cost a little over $400, higher than I had hoped, but they took care of the problem! Would use again.

My experience with Derek, our service tech was great! He was knowledgeable, polite, and repaired our issue! I am rating the service a 3 because I think $354 is very expensive to unclog a floor drain with a metal pipe. I also think its unsatisfying upon calling that the both the scheduler and dispatcher are unable to provide any prices. They both state the tech onsite needs to quote you, but when the tech is onsite you find out all their services have a base price of $354 and each drain after to unclog is half off. This provides an unfair advantage to the consumer to price match and during an urgent situation its important to just get someone scheduled. Roto knows this and takes advantage of this. Now I know Roto's price, I will be reluctant to use them next time. They need to work on price competitiveness and being able to provide more information about the service base price upon first phone call and not when the tech arrives onsite!

We had a very clogged drain and dishwasher, but we were extremely happy that they were able to send someone out on short notice - that someone was Brandon and he was extremely helpful and courteous, even after having to work for multiple hours on a Friday evening to get the old pipes in our house draining again. Very responsive and professional. Price was higher than expected as there is a defined price list per job and not per hour ($405 to unclog drain). Defined price lists can be good but an hours worth of work should not cost more than the price of a lawyer. They did have good quality work.

The response time was very good. The technician was knowledgeable and got the job done. I timed the actual Roto-Rooter in the clogged kitchen drain pipe. Eight minutes. Total time was about 20 minutes from the time he got into the house until the time he left. $300.00!!

Dave K (Tech 2666) did phenomenal work replacing our water heater! He did a thorough inspection, helped us with all our questions, and was able to install the new water heater by the end of the day. All told, inspection to install completion took just under three hours. The customer experience beginning to end was great, and we will definitely call again!

Dispatcher sent out Derek the same day and got the clog shifted easily, very pleasant experience working with their staff! Problem turned out to be worse than expected but additional work get scheduled asap. All of the team were great and it was particularly nice how courteous the staff were with wearing shoe covers on their feet and equipment.

Had a blocked kitchen drain pipe / main line. They cleared it and said if it blocked again within 6 months, they’d clear it again for free, which is exactly what they did today. Zeb was professional, proficient and thorough. He, like the previous plumber, made sure I understood how to maintain the drain (which I had done but it still got blocked again). Every plumbing service charges about the same to open a blocked kitchen main line, but Rotor Rooter is the only one I’ve found with a six month guarantee to redo it for free. Zeb examined the basement pipes and noted the blocked line’s pipes are narrower than current code, and the winding path with many turns doesn’t help. He gave detailed advise if we ever decide to replace with larger pipes to help reduce this issue.I try to be fair and honest with my reviews, to give information that helps others make decisions & know what to expect. The plumber that performed the work at my home was friendly and professional. However, my experience on the phone was frustrating to try to get an approximate cost. They told me that it would depend on the assessment, but when the plumber arrived he informed me that it was a flat fee they could have quoted over the phone. I ended up spending more than I wanted and would have rather been given a couple weeks to budget for it.

Excellent service! I was able to get a main sewer clog cleaned out the same day. There was a mix up in the timing and the service man came out early even though I wasn't there yet. He waited around until I got to my house and then went straight to work. He worked hard to figure out the odd setup I have in my house and went to work when he figured out the best approach. He worked hard for several hours (longer than he stated it should take) until he was able to get it working. Tested it out over the next few days and we were very happy with the service. The service man was very knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend going with Roto Rooter.

We had water back up in our basement late last night. My wife called and they were able to schedule us in for 8-10AM this morning. They showed up in their scheduled window and less than two hours later the roots were cleared out and everything was working well. It did cost $380, but it's been five years since I last had issues, so that isn't too bad. John really seemed to know what he was doing and how to get it through the tough spots.

I'd rate them zero stars if I could.Scheduled an appointment with a 4 hour window. Received a call that they would not make the time slot. I had to reschedule after waiting for over 4 hours. Not a huge deal, but didn't receive an apology or any effort to make it right. In fact, the woman I spoke with on the phone to reschedule sounded like she was doing me a favor by letting me reschedule. Like I was being a burden to her.Unbelievably, the same thing happened the next day! 5 hours and they weren't able to get someone out to my house. Had to cancel. You'd think they would make sure to get someone out on day 2 since they performed so poorly the first time, but it seems they don't have anyone who can figure that out.....or cares.

Used their service to open up a clogged main line. Technician was able to get things flowing again and another person was supposed to do a camera inspection to see why it clogged. I have called the company 8 times over the course of 2.5 weeks to try to get the camera inspection to happen. Each time someone tells me that the camera person will contact me. We have made sure that the correct contact number is in there and still nobody contacts me. Sick of calling them. Would recommend using a different company.

Roto-Rooter responded to our (late on a Sunday night) sewer line backup emergency. Their responding specialist, Al, worked in our basement until the wee morning hours. He was great! Super professional, knew exactly what to do and was confident in his approach. He talking with my husband and I about the machine and the working/procedure as he worked to clear the line. It’s a long and dirty/gross job and Al was kind and supportive the whole time. We’re thankful for the response by Roto-Rooter and for Al.

I made the appointment online. They switched my appointment time, and when I called them back they said it would be a $69 trip charge. I rescheduled the appointment and they called me the next day and again tried to reschedule. I said that would not work as I took time off work, and they said then they would charge me $169 for the time same timeslot. No mention was ever made of additional charges and they admitted that after listening to the recordings. However they still insisted that I would have to pay that charge. If that’s the case how do I trust the rest of the quote ? Therefore I canceled the whole appointment and would never recommend them or use them.

We had Roto-rooter come out to fix a broken pipe in our bathroom and a REALLY BAD clog. We called them and they were able to come out right away the next day!! Only took a couple of hours to get it all fixed! He was friendly and did great work! LOVED the QUICK RESPONSE and great work!

I originally gave a 5 star review for their friendliness and quick response on a Saturday afternoon. However, after they left, having cleared all the tree roots from my sewer main, the drains that were all backed up in my basement were still backed up. I called to have them come back to finish the job that I originally hired them to do, and they said it would be a separate charge. So I ended up having to clear the drains myself. Therefore, I'm lowering my review to a 2/5 for incomplete work.

He provided a quick recap of his findings and even made two passes through the drain lines to see if he could quicken the flow. When he wasn't able to improve the situation (75 year-old house), he didn't charge me and advised me to be suspect if anyone charged me without marked improvement. Our shower drain was clogged and backed up. Roto-Rooter came same day and solved our problem. Very happy with our service man and his professionalism.

Rotorooter did great work. I had a broken drain and Dave K fixed it quickly and did a good job. They came out within an hour of my 4 hour window and called 30 min ahead of time to let me know they were coming. Only complaint is it was expensive for the amount of time it took to do the work but plumbing in general can be so i didn't take a star off for it.

We had a clogged shower drain. The clog was quite deep in the line. Zeb was able to clear the clog. He explained pricing clearly and was very professional.

My experience with Roto-Rooter was very fast and efficient. Gave them a call around 7:15pm on a Friday night and had a guy at the door by 8:30! Had backed up water in the basement from our main line. Our plumber Dennis gave me a very affordable price and had us draining and dry basement within an hour! Plus service comes with 6 month guarantee and made a free camera appointment to pin point the problem for the future. A life saver if you got backed up pipes. I thought I was going to have to wait days for an appointment but not the case. Great job Roto-Rooter!

I will only recommend this company after my experience using them for the first time yesterday. My wife and I are relatively new homeowners, when it comes to plumbing forget about it.. we have absolutely no clue what is going on. So after a long work day, traffic back ups on the commute home only to find a massive puddle surrounding the floor drain in our basement along with pooled water backed up in the wash sink, I'd had enough. From calling in to work being completed was less than 3 hours. Fred was assigned to the ticket and he apologized upon arrival for not being there sooner. He was ahead of schedule based on the 30 minute window that was communicated from the dispatcher. He was knowledgeable and took his time to explain what was going on and made me feel comfortable about proceeding forward with the work needed to unclog the drain. Tree roots were a factor, he used a camera to show exactly what was going on and he was very good about providing context as to what this could cause down the road if not addressed. All in all great customer service end to end, hard work by the technician and resolved a headache in a very timely manner. They did a good job.

The physical work was quality and the in-person interactions I had were top notch. 5/5 stars for in-person service.I was highly disappointed with the lack of communication from their dispatch service and timeliness was lacking: My appointment was confirmed for 8-10AM, and we did not have a plumber at my house until 2:30PM, which was not convenient. The plumber was not aware that I had been waiting long past my appointment, also a seeming lack of communication between dispatch and their front line crew. Despite the good repair work done, I’m not sure I will work with this company again.

Called for a backed up sink/drain issues. They were available the next day. Curt was awesome, very nice, informative, and helpful. Answered all of my questions, fixed the issues super fast, and cleaned up after. I would absolutely recommend using Curt and RotoRooter.

Good and quick service, Brian was nice and worked efficiently. I was able to easily get a next day appointment and they came early in the provided window, which was great. However, the service way more expensive than I had anticipated. I needed a main line unclogging that was backing up from 2 sinks and it cost $430.

I really had great customer service with Darren - #3953. He worked within my budget since I wasn't planning on having a plumbing issue. Also he explain everything he was doing and why. Very solid and thorough work. Snaked the main line and explained why we should probably have a camera sent down since something was funky about 30 feet out. They were able to get the camera guy here within an hour the same day and he also we very thorough and explained everything very well. The news we got was bad, lots of expensive work to be done, but they made the pill a bit easier to swallow.Also, their website almost always has a printable coupon for $50 off any service - be sure to print that up!

The technician zeroed in on the most expensive process - possible sewerline blockage - without providing any supporting evidence, despite the fact that the previous issues had been with tree roots impacting waste water flow. He then also cleared that line as long as I'm here. I think he took us for a ride.And now here we are, only a few months later, experiencing the same issue.We won't be using Roto-Rooter this time.

Worst plumber experience ever. The guys price was 200$ over what insurance billed it as. He took advantage because my wife was home and she is short. I had all parts provided, and when questioned the response he gave was, We charge 350$ an hour for labor. all he had to do was attach a sink that was already put together.

They were at my home within 30 minutes after my request and completed the job very quickly. Brian was Very honest and recommended that we do not do any unnecessary other work. Called on a Sunday at about 1pm and they were able to come unclog a floor drain for me within 2 hours. Cost was probably a little high but for the quick turnaround and speedy job unclogging, it was an easy decision. I was very happy with the service and would recommend them to anyone needing good service in a timely manner.

Our line turned out to be frozen and the first effort to clear the drain failed. There was no charge for that and no charge for another call to use a camera to confirm ice vs. a broken pipe or root obstruction. Final fix required the use of steam to melt the ice. All three techs were courteous and professional.I started with another service which turned out to be a mistake. I am completely satisfied with Roto Rooter.

Al was awesome, really nice and very informative on how the drain was clogged and recommended things for us to do to prevent the clogging in the future. He also showed us/walked us through how the drains in our house work and let us know that his job was a 6 month gaurentee and that if it clogs again by then to have them come back out for free.
