The install was 100 percent professional Dani was our installer she walked into more then was bargained for, but it did not phase her one bit when something popped up she faced with a curtious professional smile and fixed and updated a very out of date water heater. Wow! That was my wife's, daughter's and my remark after using Dr. Plumber for the first time. Jack was great! We called him at 2 PM and told him we were having a going away dinner for our daughter and we had a plugged up kitchen drain line which presented a problem. He said he could help us out even though one of his employees had called in sick that day and he was busy with his regular appointments. He fit us into his schedule, arrived on time and fixed our kitchen sink problem, and then the GOOD news, the price was GREAT - really GREAT. When I find a great service provider in the Reno/Sparks area I want to pass this information on to others. Yes, I would use him again in a heartbeat! By the way, I suggest you start using Google+, not Yelp. Yelp started charging $$$ to the business for listing client information!

Replaced my water heater and brought it up to code through my home warranty provider. They were professional and did a nice job. The extra I had to pay to bring it up to code was reasonable.

Had a clogged main line, and called Roto rooter for a scheduled appointment at 2 pm. Did not show up until 4:30 or 5pm, which isn’t a huge deal; I get it, plumbers can get held up on jobs. But, after unsuccessfully trying to fix the clog, he called it quits, told me I have a collapsed pipe, and charged me $380. Then, he told me he’d come the next morning at 9am, and scope the line at a discounted price because he felt bad that he couldn’t get the job done. Called me at 4pm the next day, and said his camera is broken, and he’d have to send a different tech and charge full price. I took my business elsewhere and was able to get the line cleared, which has no collapses, for $120, through a competitor. Just a let down, overall.

After trying 3 other plumbing companies without success (one had no idea what they were talking about, one couldn't schedule for several weeks, and one was a no-show), we found Jolly Rooter. What a stroke of luck that was for us! Rich responded to our request right away, and completed two jobs (replacing the pressure-reducing valve and water heater) within days. He and his co-worker were professional, courteous, and--most importantly--extremely knowledgeable. When they ran into our house-specific obstacles (because let's fact it, every place is different), they kept us informed and provided different avenues for us to choose from. We loved that communication and we continue to love the result of Jolly Rooter's work. Do NOT hesitate to call this awesome company.

I had used Don Weston Plumbing for a number of years, and always had to put up with the benign neglect of usually taking 5-6 calls and as many weeks to hear back from him or have him show up, since that seems to be the way it works in Truckee. Recently, Don led me on for more than 3 months for a job he said he would do, including having me pick up and pay for parts for an aspect of the job. I finally simply asked him to let me know if he was going to actually do the job, after 3+ months of excuses, weeks of rescheduling walk throughs, and more broken promises. He didn’t even have the courtesy or respect to respond, so I got another plumber to do the job. The plumbing supply house would not take back all the parts Don had me buy for the job he bailed on (some cut pipe), and Don refused to refund me for those parts. This lack of professionalism to follow through on completing a job, and not have the simply courtesy to give me a yay or nay on it, but also the ethical shortcomings for not paying for the unreturnable parts - tells you all you need to know about him. Even in a heated conversation with him about him bailing on the job, he would take no responsibility for his behavior. Tradespeople and contractors are in demand in Truckee, which breeds arrogance in some thinking they can do whatever they want and treat people with disrespect. It doesn’t take a lot to be honest and treat people with respect - Don needs some more practice. Lots of other better plumbers out there to use and avoid the headaches.

used this company to fix my water heater they charged me $100 to drive out 250 for the part and after one hour after the “fix” my water heater went out again. Called them and they charged me another $100 and will not honor there work. They told me to replace the water heater and are charging me 2675.

I had an absolutely incredible experience. I had a pipe burst on my landscape irrigation that was pouring water. Honestly I didnt know what to do. I called this business and the owner came out in less than an hour. He quickly resolved my issue and was extremely professional. I would highly reccomend this business.

We are more than impressed with Straight Up! Plumbing. From the time we first had them come to our house to give us a bid on our partial master bath remodel, untill they fnished the job the other day, they were nothng but professional. Keith was promt with returning Emails and phone calls and all of my questions were answered. He and Kai were clean & mindful of work enviornment. They did a wonderful job installing our jacuzzie tub. I had called to get a quote on redoing my entire heat system with a radiant floor, and also to move a radiant baseboard pipe from my kitchen for a current remodel project. I immediately got an appointment to walk the project with promises to follow up on both the pipe and the flooring. Tomorrow, however, makes three weeks since the walk and I have called twice with no response or follow up.
