I had clogged my garbage disposal by putting flower stems in it. When it clogged up today, I found Jolly Rooter with its great reviews. Rich Jolly responded by email in 2 minutes, giving me his phone number, a price quote range, and his availability this very afternoon! Within 10 minutes I had called him and he was out to my house within the hour as he promised. He unclogged my disposal but also explained to me step by step the work he was doing. The work involved more as I also had poorly connected pipes and leakage. He had the necessary parts with him and was able to complete the whole job to perfection in a timely manner. He gave me a complimentary service of cleaning my drains with a super-cleaner. I am very satisfied with his professionalism and I have already recommended Rich of Jolly Rooter to two of my friends. Bottom line, a pro should have been able to do the job in less than an hour and for ~$50 in parts. You wanted to charge $400 for that. That's outragous and people in Reno and Sparks should know about it. $200 Would have been fair, I'm just helping others not get ripped off. The picture is what your tech wanted $400 to fix...

They are VERY nice, showed up on time, polite which is why they get 2 stars, not 1. Their prices are outrageous, I wonder how many poeple have been taken advantage of by this company...???

I called them out because we had a shower valve that wouldn't shut off and was a constant dribble. I understand I was calling a plumber to do a basic fix, something that probably takes less than an hour and I would pay a premium but I didn't want to deal with it. Big mistake.

They quoted $200 to replace the leaking valve, $400 to replace both, which was recommended. IMO, $200 to replace both would have been reasonable. I asked the guy twice if he was sure about the $400 price, to which he said yes. I told him to leave and completed the repair myself. I even told the guy I would write this review and asked a 3rd time if he was sure about the outrageous quote.

Judge for yourself in the merit of the quote and business practices; consider if your going to call them.

We had a leaky toilet valve that flooded the bathroom. We called Nods at about 2:40pm on a Saturday from Carson City. Someone arrived an hour later from Reno and they were done before 4:30pm. Service was excellent and more importantly we felt important. We had contacted a few places who could not get here until after the weekend. Thank you Nods
