I had an issue with water backing up. When the first technician showed up, he said the main clean out line was under 3 (it wasn't) and he was uncomfortable going through it and the would have to go through the roof vent ($700). When I called to schedule an appointment to get it done the next day, a different technician showed up and he decided to run a camera just to check.... He cleared the line in less than a minute through the same line the first one said he couldn't go through.

My service appointment was excellent. The technician took great care of my furnace.

Double R came and repaired a well problem within 6 hours of my call. Problem was a rusted pressure tank which required a replacement tank; not easy as I'm in a remote location. Not only did they get the tank to me, they worked with me on my personal availability. I'll be back when needed.

Called for a semi-emergency with our sewer pipe... toliets weren't draining and the tub was backing up (gross)! The owner, Rich, answered and said they had a little time to swing by and assess the problem. Rich and his apprentice Adam came within an hour. They quickly assessed the issue and went straight to work to fix it! From the time I called to job completion was approx 2 hours!!!! They absolutely went above and beyond for me and I am beyond thankful. Both Adam and Rich were kind, respectful, and walked me through everything they were doing. VERY reasonable price wise and didn't over charge or try to up sell. I will absolutely recommend them to anyone and will be using them for any future plumbing needs! Don't look anywhere else! I had used Don Weston Plumbing for a number of years, and always had to put up with the benign neglect of usually taking 5-6 calls and as many weeks to hear back from him or have him show up, since that seems to be the way it works in Truckee. Recently, Don led me on for more than 3 months for a job he said he would do, including having me pick up and pay for parts for an aspect of the job. I finally simply asked him to let me know if he was going to actually do the job, after 3+ months of excuses, weeks of rescheduling walk throughs, and more broken promises. He didn’t even have the courtesy or respect to respond, so I got another plumber to do the job. The plumbing supply house would not take back all the parts Don had me buy for the job he bailed on (some cut pipe), and Don refused to refund me for those parts. This lack of professionalism to follow through on completing a job, and not have the simply courtesy to give me a yay or nay on it, but also the ethical shortcomings for not paying for the unreturnable parts - tells you all you need to know about him. Even in a heated conversation with him about him bailing on the job, he would take no responsibility for his behavior. Tradespeople and contractors are in demand in Truckee, which breeds arrogance in some thinking they can do whatever they want and treat people with disrespect. It doesn’t take a lot to be honest and treat people with respect - Don needs some more practice. Lots of other better plumbers out there to use and avoid the headaches.

A few years ago they installed a brand new water heater inside our home. The crew did an excellent job, they were quick and efficient, and we haven't had a single issue since. They were on time and very professional. I highly recommend S&S Mechanical.

Great guys, great service! I have a rental property here in Reno and they always take care of me whenever I need 'em. I live out in Truckee now and they have an office there too so no need to worry about any of my plumbing problems anymore, they got me covered wherever I am lol. thanks again guys!

I called them and asked for a quote to unclog my drain. I was quoted 127.00.
When the plumber showed up not only did he have a negative attitude saying that this couldve waited till morning. I told him that my toilets and shower were backfilling and that i have 3 kids. To unclog it. 20 min later i got a bill for 191.25. He said that I needes to pay him overtime. It was 12am so i agreed and gave him my debit card info. Well theyre not smart enough to run a card . long story short my landlord. Received threatening letters saying they were going to sue them and put a lien on the house. Major headache and very unprofessional. DO NOT USE THEM. YOUVE BEEN WARNED
