I recently relocated to Raleigh and had some work done on the house that required the carpenters to remove the toilet to lay down a wood floor. It was obvious that the wax seal had deteriorated and needed to be replaced. I researched plumbers on YELP and found that CK Plumbing had excellent reviews. I called to make an appointment and everyone I dealt with was helpful and friendly. Sean and his coworker showed up at my house on schedule, re-placed the wax ring and re-seated the toilet. The charge was what was quoted. I won't hesitate to call them again for more work, or when I redo my bathroom.

Called CK's Plumbing & Backflow for assistance with a plumbing issue. I spoke to Beth to schedule a service call. She also gave me guidance on another company as my plumbing problem may involve an external leak. Kyle and Anthony arrived to replace a shut-off valve. After explaining the nature of plumbing problem, Kyle offered some other low-cost suggestions and advice. Very good work and very professional....and fair pricing. Plumber arrived on time and was professional. Issue was a slow second floor bathtub drain. Price quoted $368 plus tax. Probably took 20 min total. While he solved the problem, the price was ridiculous. Because of that I won't be using them again.

We had Optimal Plumbing Solutions come out to quote a natural gas line install underground to a grill from the house. The technician arrived on time and was professional. There was a $49 fee involved to quote the work.

The quote came out to $2,890.39 which was $1,390 higher than the price we went with. We used a different contractor who did not charge us to quote it and installed it the way we requested which was the most direct route.

I believe they quoted the work high so they didn't have to get the work so that's okay. I'm kinda annoyed at how much they were over all the other bids and the fact that the technician didn't want to bury the line under the deck as requested. We also had to pay for a quote we ended up not going with.

It is nice to work with a company that delivers great service at a good price. I had my main waterline from the road to the house replaced last December and CK's quoted the best price and seemed like they would be good to work with. Turns out they were great. So when the sewer line backed up at 4:30pm on the 5th of July they were the first ones I called. They were able to have Sean here at 9am on the 6th and he knew exactly where to start. He was very professional and after snaking 90 ft of line finally hit a clump of roots and everything opened up. Since Sean and Anthony were so nice I asked about, and had them video the line to look for the problem. At 90ft he found roots penetrating the line where it empties at the tap in the street. The rest of the line was clear which give me the piece of mind to know if this happens again exactly who I will be calling. Since I have used them 2 times in a year and both times have been excellent service at a very reasonable price I don't have any problem recommending them to anyone that needs some plumbing done.

Scott was great! He quickly was able to detect the problem under the house and start the repair on our leaking pipes right away! And he even repaired an additional leak that he found while testing the water pressure, that we didn't realize was there. I didn't expect him to be able to get to it today but I'm so glad he could! He was very thorough and explained everything well and even advised us on what we could do for our next steps! Thank you for your quick, thorough work!

My bathroom shower faucet stopped working, so I got a reservation through the Internet. I selected the time and received a confirmation promptly. The plumber was friendly and gave me an estimate for the work, which I accepted.The work was done quickly, and it solved my problem.

I was trying to find someone to fix my problem and I found this company from the website. I am unsatisfied with the service.
(1) The appointment was from 11am to 1pm (technician (Andy) will come any time around this time range). But he does not show up until almost 3pm. We were waiting him and can not go anywhere (we got plans)
(2) He worked like 30min with his simple tools but it didn't work well and he gave up. So, the problem remains unsolved and he is charging us 100 usd for not even fixing the issue and told us it will be 400 usd if its fixed. I do not really understand how things work here since there is an hour rate and 400 usd if fixed within 30min? Also, what if second time someone else come from the company and still can't fix it and will we get charged for another 100 or 200 usd again as diagnostic fee?. I was asking the technician and decided to ask the company how things work and at this time I didn't say I won't pay him. But he lost patience and just left while I was calling the company and he told my wife I will never see you again.
(3) After he left, my wife called this company asked how things should work and asked if we can talk face to face since talk through the phone can cause some misunderstands. But they denied it and their attitude was awful. Their voice sounds being annoyed by our questions and I have to speak for my wife because my wife is not capable of handling their attitude.

All in all, I understand there might be some misunderstands here like some company simply sent people to your place and charge you hourly without any pre-inspection just for giving quicker service. But what I can not really withstand is the technician's bad attitude, not being on time and also the people in the phone sound so annoyed.

Follow up: They said send someone come my home to do a free estimate today around 1pm to 5pm but no one shows up at all.

I ask for a quote on installing a water softener they told me they charge 1100 to 1500 dollars on an install that would take an hour. Normally I pay 400 to 500 dollars for this install. Be careful using this company
