Lane plumbing saved us what could be have been thousands of dollars in unnecessary work that would have resolved nothing! We called them for a second opinion after we had a funny feeling about a quote we got prior with a different company. Turns out it was a city issue all along and Lane Plumbing stayed until the city got there to vouch on our behalf. These are old fashioned trust worthy people!! I will only EVER be using Lane Plumbing for any future issues.

Very pleased. Fair price, immediate service with 4-man crew to get 2 water heaters replaced with one in an attic. Guys were nice, polite, and concerned about keeping our house clean and not damaged.

My water heater burned up due to a power surge during Hurricane Flo. Talked to Jimmy the next morning, very nice man. He gave me a rough estimate and scheduled a crew to come replace my water heater. Mike & Jerry called when on their way, showed up at the scheduled time and did a fantastic job. They were quick, did pretty work and were pretty spot on to Jimmy's estimate.

I prefer doing business with local companies over national ones and Lane Plumbing is a reason i prefer doing this. They treat you like people that need help, not just a revenue stream. I highly recommend these guys!

Main was backed up, called them and they were here the next day. As a customer they were very communicative - which I really appreciate- from someone trying to analyze the situation over the phone(perhaps the owner), the person setting up the appointment to the techs here in person (they were awesome). Everyone was professional, to the point, no up-selling, and communicative. I felt things went as smooth as they could and will definitely reach out to Them first should I have any plumbing work or issues in the future. Would recommend to anyone considering work.

Three months after buying my home, I found out the hard way that my sewage line needed to be repaired, including digging down 7 feet into my yard to get to the damaged line. Not ideal, but Lane Plumbing responded and repaired it quickly AND took mercy on me and allowed me to make a couple payments on the unforeseen expense.

As a new homeowner, finding contractors to fix issues happening in your home is not small feat. It is also not fun to be without hot water!
Jimmy and his team were responsive and incredibly helpful throughout the process, answering my questions and making sure I understood the what needed to happen, why and the repairs they were going to do. The pricing was responsible to boot!

I needed a plumber after water leaked (flowed heavily) from a pipe behind a wall in my master bedroom. Lane Plumbing was the fourth company that I contacted to get estimates. After speaking with Jimmy for a minute, I knew that his company would get my business. His interchange with me was caring, professional, and respectful. His technicians arrived a couple of hours later. They, too, were professional and efficient. The men diagnosed and repaired the problem within two hours. Last, but not least, I felt the price was very reasonable.
Jerry was the lead technician. I did not get the name of the person working with him; but, that person was excellent as well.

I plan to use them for my future plumbing needs.

I called early this morning during inclement weather. We had snow last night so the roads were covered. The hot water heater at my rental property had a bad leak. Mr. Lane was very courteous and had a technician at the house in approximately 1 hour. Once the hot water heater is installed I will come back on to review how that process went.

We received three quotes to replace our 20 year old gas water heater. Lane plumbing gave a quote 15 and 30% lower than companies we had used in the past, but we were impressed with Mr. Lane's helpful knowledge and felt comfortable entrusting his crew to do the job. Marc was the plumber who did the install, and we were very impressed with his skill and thoroughness in doing the job. We would definitely use Lane Plumbing in the future. (It turned out that there was a miscommunication on the original quote, which still would have been below the next higher quote, but Mr. Lane resolved it in our favor.) Thank you Lane Plumbing!

Daniel and Ty did an awesome job! They were on time, quick to assess the situation and not judgmental at what my husband had done before they got here! Extremely knowledgeable and willing to explain my options in terms I could understand. It was a big job and they worked quick and precise the whole time! They treated my home better than their own and made sure the plumbing fixes were immaculate before they left! They did a completely new drainage system under the kitchen sink and fixed my pressure valve in the garage. I would highly recommend them for any of your plumbing needs.

As silly as this may sound, I am the proud owner of two new toliets. The gentleman that came today were very thorough, kind and efficient. I really appreciate their work.

I attempted to call a few plumbers before reaching Lane plumbing in the listings. The first few did not answer the phone mid day. When I got to Lane plumbing the phone was answered, which showed me they actually wanted business. I asked if my job was considered too small and if they did residential work. It was explained that my request could be accommodated and an approximate cost was given. I was also asked for photos so that we could be sure we were on the same page and the plumbers could be sure to be prepared. I was told that the work could be scheduled the same day or the next since it was already close to noon. I received a call within an hour or two stating that the job could be scheduled the same day and they could arrive in about an hour. They arrived right at an hour later and once I showed them the issue and gave a little more information on possible access points, they went right to work and before I knew it they were done, very quick work. The price came in as quoted and the work was efficient and great workmanship. I would recommend Lane Plumbing to anyone who needs plumbing work done. I am a DIYer but definitely think this job was worth paying for.

I had a leaky disposal so I called Jimmy Lane. He had Jerry and Jerry out within a day. They diagnosed the problem and had the disposal replaced in about an hour. They cleaned up, took the old unit and were on their way to the next call. It was that simple. I always try to use mom and pop operations. In this case you're not only doing a local business good, but you're also getting top quality.

Jimmy Lane and his team are the best plumbers in town. Jane in the office is incredibly responsive and makes sure you know when to expect the service techs to arrive and what to expect when it comes to pricing. They take care of my and my mother’s personal properties as well as all of my real estate clients and they all have amazing things to say about them as well!

JR Lane plumbing is one of the most honest plumbers i've worked with over the years. They do excellent work as well! Jimmy does not try to drive cost up through multiple service calls and will typically give recommendations on what to try to help save some costs. Jimmy has saved me alot of money by being more thorough than other plumbers who just want to charge you as much as possible via service calls and/or fixes that costs way more than they should.

I had a sewer back up issue that another plumbing company told me was a cracked line(after charging me $100 to run a camera through my drain from outside the house to my sewer...less than 8ft). The other plumber wanted to charge me $1000 to come out and dig up the pipe and lay a new pipe, again no more than 8ft. I called Jimmy, and without coming out he asked me a series of questions, leading to the fact that my house was 7-8yrs old and I had just moved in 2yrs ago AND never had my sewer drained. I did not know if the previous owners had done so either. Jimmy said that is likely the issue and referred me to a sewage company to drain my sewer, which solved the issue. I wanted to also check the pipe to ensure it was not cracked, Jimmy sent 3 guys to shovel dig the trench and check the pipe, which only cost me ~$200. Jimmy saved me anywhere from $500-$700 easy on getting this fixed.

I recommend JR Lane Plumbing if you want an experienced plumber, good customer service, and honesty!

Thanks Jimmy most of all for the honesty! At the end of the day, I have to pay someone any way, I'd rather pay someone who has great morals when it comes to dealing with their customers.

Kitchen faucet sprayer malfunctioning - called late in afternoon; problem fixed by noon the next day - that is what I call SERVICE! Personnel easy to deal with and easy to talk to. Was even advised why the slight delay as a part had to be obtained. When personnel arrived, they even removed their shoes so as not to track anything on the tan carpet - this was totally unexpected and MUCH appreciated. Would I hire Lane Plumbing in the future - you bet...in a heartbeat. Thanks again guys!!!

Daniel and Mr. Jerry did a fantastic job replacing an old shower valve. They got it done same day as soon as I called. My house didn’t have any water pressure so we called lane plumbing- jane answered the phone and got me on the schedule! She was extremely nice and very helpful in diagnosing the issue- The plumber and his crew did a great job replacing my pressure reducer valve- they were quick and efficient!!

Woke up Monday morning and found water all over kitchen counter top and a puddle of water on the floor. I have a second floor so I assumed my upstairs bathroom was leaking. Called lane plumbing supervisor said eta was a hour to hour and half. Hour and 46 minutes go by I call back supervisor says another hour his guys are still at another job. So after waiting four hours two plumbers finally showed up. I showed them where the water was and the wet towels from cleaning up the water. So the plumbers go upstairs run water in both bathrooms and come back downstairs and look in ceiling and dont see anything. They Go outside and check water meter--' oh, your water meter not running--- so you don't have a leak. This is after only after 15 minutes of inspecting. So i ask the guys to explain where the water came from and was told they don't know but I don't have a leak--I wish they could of seen the water. So they go outside said they have to call the supervisor. I'm thinking they are calling to troubleshoot the problem. Little do I know they called to find out how much to charge me. One guy comes back in and tells me ma'am we didn't see anything it's going to be $125. So at this point im irritated. So i express my concerns and asked the guy to explain why the sink cabinet is wet. I was told he feels it's wet but don't know where the water came from maybe from underneath. Then he comments maybe it's coming from your fridge. How the hell is it coming from the fridge when water was all over the counter top and the fridge is on the opposite side of the kitchen. So i express my concerns again and ask why am I paying for a problem that isn't solved. So the guy calls the supervisor. The supervisor states it's a diagnostic fee because we came to figure out the problem. So i state to the supervisor your plumber just admitted to seeing the cabinet under the sink is wet but claim I don't have a leak. This makes no since obviously something is leaking. Long story short after going back and forth the supervisor states well I can give you $20 off but I have to get my guys out of there. This seriously struck a nerve. I just waited for hours for the plumbers to arrive and had to call out of work because the eta was way off. After waiting they only spent 15 mins looking just to tell me you have no leak they don't know where the water came from. So the fee was paid and my problem wasn't solved. Oh I was told if I call and say were the leak is coming from they will come out and fix it. Lol what was the point of me calling?

First off please don't lie on our conversation because the original phone call at 9:50am mr.lane didn't go over any prices nor did I ask . I called said I had a leak think it's coming from upstairs and was told I some would be there within hour to hour and a half. I said ok and hung up after verifying my information. I honestly didn't care about the price figured I would be charged something. My issue is being charged and not getting any answers and no one showing any concern. Also if I would of know the plumber was going to call 30 minutes pior to coming why would I call after waiting hour and 45 minutes to what the eta would be. It was at that time mr.lane said it would be another hour because his guys was tied up at another job because they had to go buy a toilet. Then he informed me I would receive a phone call when they were on there way, not to worry. I said ok thank you and hung up. So no your policies is not explained to every customer maybe that practice should be put into play. Oh and by the way the water was coming from the kitchen sink faucet and spray thingy.

Excellent service. Contacted Jimmy about noon, had a new water heater installed by 4. He will answer your questions and give you good advise.

We are very pleased with the quality of work from Lane. Daniel ran into some issues, but stayed the course, trouble shooted and finished the installation of a new hot water heater. He was on time (actually was waiting on me) and very professional. Cannot recommend them enough!

Called Lane for a second opinion after a bog box supplier provided quote. Total cost, parts and labor was 1/3 for exact same repair. Owner provided a soft diagnosis after I snapped a few pictures and was able to quote the probable cause and cost over the phone. Will never go anywhere else for plumbing needs.

Lane Plumbing came out to my home to fix a Pressure Reducing Valve. Daniel the technician was great from the start and noticed an additional problem that we had at our cut off. He pointed this out to me before doing any work, explained in clear detail and showed me the evidence to support his findings. They were competitively priced and efficient with their work. I definitely recommend that you call Lane Plumbing and if he's available request Daniel to be your tech.

When i called for quote, the woman on the phone hung up immediately. It was very rude and unprofessional. It should be a family bushiness. A reputable company wont do that.

The other day we woke up to no hot water. When we went out to the garage to take a look at the water heater it was leaking severely. After reading several reviews online we decided to call Lane Plumbing. The owner, Jim, actually answered himself. I explained the situation to him and that I was having surgery the next day so any thing he could do would be a big help. He assured me he would do everything he could to get me taken care of that day and he did! His crew was out that evening to install a new water heater and did a fantastic job. I highly recommend them and will be using them for all my plumbing needs.

Daniel was very thorough and took time to explain to us the issue with our main line. He was very serious about having us feel comfortable and satisfied with the service. We tried a couple of other companies in the area but Lane was by far the best. It’s nice to sleep at night not having to think about our plumbing issues. They installed 3 undermount sinks for me. The scheduling process was easy. They did a very good job with the work, taking care not to damage the countertops. They did have to come back to take care of a very minor leak, but did so quickly and without additional cost. I am very happy with the results.

Lane recommended septic tank clean out as first step in gurgling plumbing.. recommended Bailey Septic of Knightdale who did excellent job. Problem appears to be solved with only one company to pay.

We had a pipe burst in our finished basement during the evening. The receptionist (I forgot her name - Sorry!) was very helpful and caring in all of our interactions with her over the next 3 days. Mr. Lane even answered the phone himself a couple of times, and recommended some restoration folks to handle the cleanup! Nelson arrived first thing the next day, and the following day to make repairs and replace several corroded fittings. The problems just kept growing, due to the poor original construction of our home's plumbing (brass fittings on well water). It became a monstrous project and he took it all in stride. He was terrific! We then discovered several more corroded fittings and Lane sent Daniel out on the third day. Daniel was especially outstanding in every way, helping us find all the corroded fittings that we could possibly gain access to. He also suggested some other fixes to help us avoid problems in the future. It was a HUGE undertaking for both servicemen, but they both performed exceptionally well with their knowledge, kindness, professionalism, patience, and expertise. Three days sounds like a long time, but they both worked quickly and efficiently. It was just an incredibly tedious job as we got further into it. They probably replaced 50 or 60 fittings that were all corroding badly and in danger of bursting like the first one. They were more than willing to do the job, and do it RIGHT the first time, even as we kept finding more problems. They cleaned up well after themselves and were very courteous. Lane Plumbing is now on our speed dial for any future problems or regular maintenance. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I am very happy with the professionalism, service and resolution (and speed - I can't say enough about how quickly the staff got 'round!) we experienced with Mr. Lane and his service staff Mr. Jerry and Mr. Nelson. The same day we called they were at our house and when they left our plumbing worked! The next day we thought there was a glitch and they made a special trip back and found an adjustment - something that wasn't in the original scope of work - and cheerfully fixed it. We are a fan!

I am grateful that I came across Jimmy Lane with Lane Plumbing. I did a DIY project over the weekend that turned out disastrous. When I spoke to Jimmy, somehow he turned my embarrassment into laughter. He sent out Mark and Jerry who fixed my issue promptly and the cost was very reasonable. I was so impressed with the work that I gave them another job and Mark showed up the very next day to get that job done. I admire Mark's work ethic. I would highly recommend this team as they actually care about the quality of their work. Don't hesitate to give them a call...you will not regret your decision!!

This company tried to charge me $185 to literally come and place puddy in my bathtub drain. The service men did not seem very enthused in trying to determine the real source of the problem. Only, after I called the owner Jimmy did he decide to knock off $25. Still, I could not believe he was charging me $160. Then to top it all off the puddy never fixed the problem! My bathtub still leaked thru my dining room ceiling! I called the very next day and Jimmy tells me he is going to charge me yet another service charge to come out again?!!? I complained again about the price, and then he says he will not charge me a service fee, but he will have to charge me to find the source of the problem and fix it AGAIN! At this point I told Lane Plumbing that I no longer wanted to do business with him. I do not trust this company's ethics just as the last reviewer wrote. I instead called Matthew's plumbing service and the service man fixed the issue in less than an hour and I was not overcharged!

UPDATE: Matthews Plumbing is coming back to our home at no charge and worked very hard to find the source of the leak. As I stated earlier, Lane Plumbing talks a good game over the phone, but please know this company WILL overcharge their customers as the last poster and the YELP reviews state. I have yet to find such unprofessionalism in a business. The owner actually called another plumbing company to discuss the work done at my home and berate me b/c I left him a bad google review. Customers BEWARE!!!!!

Our water heater split the bottom seam on a Saturday and was leaking for 2 prior days in the basement. Part of the basement is finished with carpet so the carpet soaked up the water and I stepped into the room to find 1.5 inch water. When I called Jennifer answered immediately, was sympathetic to my situation, calmed me, assured me they could help. She walked me thru the process to stop the water running, and recommended and called an emergency water damage company to get them out to start the clean up. Lane communicated constantly with me on availability of a replacement parts, costs and their arrival times. The crew was prompt, efficient, thorough, polite, respectful and it was very obvious they knew what they were doing.

The entire disaster was in process of being resolved in 8 hours.

After the replacement of my countertops to granite which included an under mounted 18G sink, Lane Plumbing came out to reconnect the plumbing including installing faucet and garbage disposal. Dan, the plumber discover a serious issue with configuration of the old plumbing pipes which would totally need to be redesigned to work with my new sink. Dan made a second trip back to his shop to get the necessary tools to meet the challenge of attaching new pipes to the sink. His years of experience as a plumber saved me more expense of having to cut into the concrete to attach piping. Thanks Dave for representing Lane Plumbing well!!!

Shout out to JR Lane Plumbing. They got the job done for us. Walked us through the entire process of the main water line replacement. They were very knowledgeable and the staff and technicians were reliable, they followed up with us every step of the way. We could not even tell they were at the house to install a new line. Our yard was cleaned up and put back just as before they did their work. Service was a 10!

No one showed up, I called back and they told me the man was out of town for the weekend. I said ok, so I guess that was more important than the appointment that he made with me. And the girl said I guess so. No way to run a business !!

I have been using JR Lane Plumbing for the past 6 months for my apartment communities and I have experienced nothing but the best! They are always fast, professional and reasonably priced. Called Lane Plumbing after two other companies were unable to unclog my sewer line. The second company said they may be able to unstop clog by using a light and then a backhoe in the yard for a price of $2800 +, I called Lane to get a third opinion and I'm so glad I did. They gave me an estimate over the phone, sent two plumbers out to assess and repair the problem for less than 450. They were professional and courteous from start to finish. Give them a try.

My experience with Lane Plumbing was excellent. The price that was quoted was exactly the price I was charged and the service from Jerry and Jared was wonderful. Jimmy is pretty darn awesome. My husband and I bought a renovated house and got the surprise of major plumbing issues and backups. Lane Plumbing was called for a second opinion vs. a major chain and thank goodness we called. The sewer line had to be replaced and Jimmy quoted well under the competition. He answered my incessant questions and calmed my fears every step of the way. I washed clothes today for the first time with no issues. She immediately got me on the phone with the owner, Jimmy Lane and got me all set up for everything needed first thing the very next morning. And at a fantastic value. But too top it all, they sent their very best man out for the job. Daniel was courteous, knowledgeable, meticulous, detail oriented, helpful in explaining, really you won't find better anywhere. Had to get my main line replaced and looked everywhere for estimates and options and Mr Lane was the best option by far. It was a pleasure to deal with him, his crew was on time and very professional, he had a reasonable price and was understanding and open to work with me on the best payment options. Definitely would recommend and will work with them again.

Had a minor sink drain issue. They were quick to come out to fix the problem. Did not take long to fix the issue. The plumber (Jerry) that came onsite was nice and knowledgeable.

These guys are great! Honest, fast, friendly and great price. We had a few issues at a rental property. They fixed what was needed and did so quickly, honestly. I highly recommend. The owner is great to work with!!

Was having trouble with my toilet not flushing properly and called Lane Plumbing. Spoke with Jimmy on the phone and he immediately scheduled an appointment and gave a price quote based on me explaining that I have a leak and also the toilet continuously flushes. The price was at least $250. On the day of my appointment, the problem was fixed by Jerry (after having to leave my home twice to go and purchase different supplies). Unfortunately, I was not satisfied with the price. My total was $300...$150 for labor, $125 for parts plus tax). It turns out, there was no leak and the only things that were changed was a fill valve, fill valve flapper and new handle. After research, I realized that I could have purchased those items from Walmart or Lowe's myself for much less than $40!!!!!! But I was charged $125!!!!! I understand that they can charge what they want but this is pretty ridiculous! We were hustled, plain and simple....fool me once shame you, fool me twice shame on me!! My advice to everyone would be to check around and get quotes or find a trusted local handyman.

Twice in a month had to contact for commodes . First time they were out within a day of calling . Never tried to sell more than needed.

This morning master bath commode broke ( older home just moved in couple years ago so everything is going at once )...He sent the same professional hard-working gentleman out within an hour! This is the type of service everyone hopes for and fortunately we always get with Lane plumbing

Jerry and Jared arrived in Wake Forest 6/4/19 to determine source of water flooding our crawl space. Jerry went into the crawl space and thru the smaller entry to the laundry crawl space. Found the leaking connection and replaced it quickly!

Great plumbers.

Extremely overpriced, and terrible customer service. They cut me off when explaining the work I needed done, gave me no expectation of price, instead had me make an appointment for them to come do an estimate for, which they missed twice and never apologized for. Finally did the estimate, and charged me $135 for the estimate. Came back with an estimate that was triple of another plumber. Now on the hook for $135 when they wouldn't listen to me originally on the phone or give me any expectation of price going into it.

Daniel and Ty were on time and very helpful. They found and repaired our leak as well as showed my husband a few things about our water shut off. They were in and out within an hour and we were very impressed with the entire process. We'd recommend using the company and will definitely be giving them a call again if we ever need a plumber.

I called on a Monday morning because we had started having this knocking and shaking every time we flush the toilet, or used the washing machine. They actually answered the phone! The lead plumber was able to troubleshoot and even give a range estimate over the phone and send someone out to solve our issue that very day! Everything is running fine, it cost what they said it would (on the low end), So grateful! Highly recommend.
