Extremely responsive and very helpful. Austin and Doc were very knowledgeable, helpful and patient. Austin thoroughly tried to find the cause of issues and patiently waited while several things were tested to try to recreate the problem.

Adam was very professional and personable. He quickly diagnosed and explained the problem, and he very clearly outlined our options. We chose the kitchen sink drain cleaning package, and we are very happy with the results. Terrific service, thank you.

There was a little problem in the beginning with the tech that initially came out but I called the office and they were super helpful. Had a different tech out within the hour. He was very knowledgeable answering questions and stayed till he verified the problem was corrected. I've used this company on multiple occasions through the years and will continue to do so.

Professional and amicable technician, but Roto-Rooter as a company has difficulty maintaining appointment window (came 4 hours past the window) and is too expensive (labor charge was more than 3 times the already bought garbage disposal replaced), which makes it not likely to recommend to others.

I had a plumbing emergency on a Saturday around 1:30 pm. The crew from Roto Rooter was on site by 3:45. They were able to quickly assess the issue and fix the problem in less than an hour. Adam was so professional in how he explained the service and the cost. I am grateful to Roto Rooter and their crew for providing such reliable service!

Our appointment was for 12/12 between 10 am-2 pm. We waited all day and a plumber never showed up. Had to reschedule for 12/13 between 8-10 am. A plumber showed up around 10 am to install a new faucet and a new drain pipe. Work was completed around 3 pm. In addition, we were charged tax on only labor charges which does not make sense. Trying to get over $40 in tax back from Roto-Rooter.

The tech, Kenji, was extremely helpful and honest with his assessment and recommendations. I sincerely appreciate his help and will be contacting them again for any future plumbing needs

I would give 0 star! Tech. Guy came and repaired the water heater, after couple days, part broke down again! And they are not stand behind their work! And not honor their warranty! Find someone else!

I called roto-rooter to help clean our sewer line that was clogged. Within 10 minutes Ryan the technician was sent out. He arrived within 30 minutes and diagnosed our problem and was able to fix it immediately. Ryan was great!!

Cleaned the clog, when I got the camera service with the cleaning, they did not provide the exact location of the main plumbing line sag. The camera service was of poor and dismal value.

So glad these guys are in Cary! Respectful and knowledgeable staff. Wore masks, gloves, and shoe covers to keep my house clean and healthy. The price was equatable for the level of care, timely service, and high quality of the work. It even came with a warranty at no extra charge!

Steve and Robert came out (in the pouring rain) and did an amazing job. Professional, personable, and executed their work timely. Really a pleasure to work with. Will not hesistate to call on them again or refer them to a friend.

DO NOT USE. DISHONEST COMPANY!!!!! Paid $450 due to sewer backup that came through my toilet and damaged the bathroom and living room floor. The first person who came was great. After he left, the next stage of my process turns terrible! I guess they are nice until they receive your money. The people for the restoration never showed that day. The camera person to inspect and assess the issue never came that day. It took a whole week after calling 4 times for someone to come out. The guy finally comes does the camera inspect and states he’ll email me the information so I know what the issue is. 5 days later still no email; called 3 times and left a message for the manager. Still NO CALL BACK or EMAIL! And my damaged floor is worse since no one came back from restoration and I can’t contact the insurance company yet because I haven’t received a report on what caused the issue. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! They use to be A+ NOW they are an F-

The guys came out to check the water heater because the water was not as hot like it use to be. The guys came in very pleasant and asked what was the problem I told them. He looked it over for potential problems found nothing on the outside. He found that the pilot light was out. He said the light could go out easily because the water heater is in the attic and anything could knock it out. He relite the pilot light and was on there way. Great job I would call them again.

Lousy service. Technician was way later than appointment. Charged way too much for measly few parts. DID NOT EVEN VERIFY THAT HIS REPAIRS WERE SOLID BEFORE LEAVING. He didn’t even turn the supply back on before leaving!!!

We had a leak in our shower and a rusted toilet that got progressively worst to the point we needed someone to come out on a Saturday. Other companies told us we would have to wait until Monday. Roto-Rooter got us in on the same day in a couple of hours. Travis was fantastic and was able to fix our issue in such a short amount of time once he got to our home. He was knowledgeable and wanted us to have the best parts/service. Thanks Travis!

In terms of the job, the plumbing was done well, and relatively quickly.My issue is with Roto-Rooter. They gave me a four-hour window for the repair, and so I waited around all morning and the guy didn’t show up until 75 mins beyond the window.No discount, no explanation other than “were short-handed”. Give people more notice, especially since they may waste an entire Saturday morning waiting for a service that’s not coming until hours later.

We had an expansion tank fail and start leaking. I called Roto-Rooter in the morning and they said they would send someone out anytime today I wanted. Other shops told me it would be next week before they could get to it. An hour later the dispatcher proactively let me know the technician would be later than the original arrival window. Once the technician arrived he gave me a quote for the repair and did the job in a professional and friendly manner. We are completely satisfied. Just wish I'd remembered to use my coupon, but that's on me.

Technician, Aaron, was thorough, checked the pump, the lift tank verified everything was working properly! Extremely professional and friendly!

I called about 11pm and he showed up quicker than I thought. He was able to turn off the water in the shower that was running and would not turn off after my kids messed it up. He came back the next day to complete the job and installed a new lever in the shower and whatever else is behind that. He was very professional and respectful. He explained what he was doing and why. I will call him in the future if I have any plumbing needs.

Steve came right on time and would right to work and explain everything that he was going to do on our drainage issue. Every step of the way Steve was telling us what he was going to do why he was going to do it and couldn't have been any more helpful. Chris came following up to clean up all the the mess that was made with drainage and both left our house Christine. We were very grateful for all that they did.

Timely response from the initial scheduling! Appointment was scheduled for 10-12. I did receive a phone call about the schedule being pushed out and the technician arrived at 130. He was nice, knowledgeable, and courteous.

My outdoor water spigot broke and couldn’t be turned off without turning the water to the house off. Kanji was great—he explained every part of the issue and the fix clearly. Our experience with Roto-Rooter was positive from initial phone call to service completion. Brianna arrived initially to gauge whether water restoration was necessary and gave us peace of mind that the issue was confined to the area we were already aware of. Trey was a fantastic plumber. Not only did he remedy our leak/issue effectively, but he went above and beyond to replace other problem areas with new materials -- now our pipes all match (rather than the hodgepodge they'd been before) and meet today's quality standards. My only grievance is with the company structure and not the serviceman. While our toilet was unclogged, we had to get another service person to perform another service the same day which will be another expense. :(

I had another plumbing company check my sewage pump and immediately recommend a new pump. I was expecting this as a possibility, however, I am VERY skeptical of immediate replacement suggestions. I called Roto-Rooter and they sent Eugene Hoges (0057) on the same afternoon that I called. Eugene was willing to get down and dirty and actually determine if the pump could be made to function. He identified the problem quickly and resolved it on the spot. My pump works just fine. The company would have known that if they bothered to check. I'll call Roto-Rooter first next time.

Updating the review and changing rating from 1 star to 3 stars.Please note that my rating is not entirely reflective of the actual work performed, which was outstanding and deserves 5 stars. The crew was punctual and very responsive and reliable.My problem was with Billing and it was later resolved. While local staff is really nice and professional, the billing department, which I believes is managed by franchisor, was not and my negative review was as a result of my interaction with them.UPDATE: The owner/Operator of the business reached out to me upon seeing my review and helped resolved the issue such that I did not have to incur any expenses out of pocket.-----------------------------------------------------------------The person who initially came told us they would deal directly with the insurance company and that I will not have to pay anything out of pocket.When insurance company gave less than the ridiculous amount they had billed, they threatened to put lien against our property. Now, we have to hire a lawyer to deal with this mess.

No more water anxiety , flush all you want kids !!!!Update 12/23/2019The next day camera inspection conclusion, without having put the camera through the water, was that the line had collapsed. The estimate for the repair was 10,000 USD. Checked with the water company and requested the video but the roto rooter technician would not provide it. On Monday the line clogged again and I called a different company, ARS Rooter. The technician unclogged the line and using a camera, and putting it through the water, told me I just had grease on the line. I have cleaned the line and haven’t had any issue since then.So far I thought it was just a ‘bad technician’ and I was glad I had not gone through with a very expensive repair based on a partial assessment.HOWEVER, a friend of mine had a similar experience with Roto Rooter last week and remembering my experience he convinced the owner to hold on a several thousand dollars repair. They too called a second opinion and the problem was assessed very differently and repaired at a fraction of the estimated cost.IN MY OPINION, two similar situations are a HUGE RED FLAG. Will never recommend or contact this company in the future.

Kanji from Roto Rooter was attentive, knowledgeable and very experienced of his work. He displayed such a professionalism at the time of his service, a plumber you can trust.

Jeff was very nice and did a great job. I was surprised the cost was so high. He was here less than an hour and replaced an outside spigot. He did give me an estimate of $381 once he saw the job and I agreed because I needed to get it done. It ended up being $356.70. $285 for labor. Maybe $285 an hour is the going rate for a plumber in our area. needless to say he did a good job and was very nice.

Kanji was very professional, came on time, and was able to quickly and efficiently diagnose and treat my clogged toilet! Best plumber in the area! I would highly recommend! He is also very personable and was able to give us good food recommendations in the area since we just moved down here! Called for service in Raleigh, NC on the Sunday night after Thanksgiving, appreciating the advertised no charge for 24/7 Emergency Service.Technician Ryan DiSorbo, who was on weekend call, handled a job that turned out to be more complicated than he anticipated with good humor and efficiency. He worked until midnight to finish the job. He deserves a raise and a promotion.

My bathroom sink was clogged. I tried to unclog it myself and I proceeded get the drain snake stuck and unable to get it out. Like it was stuck stuck in there, I couldn't get it out nor could my husband. So we had a sink that wouldn't drain and a snake stuck in it.I decided to give Roto Rooter a call. They were able to get someone out here the next day. I was given a 2 hour window for when they would show up and they were here within the first 30 minutes!Kyle showed me a trick to get the stopper all the way out to get the snake drain out. He was really professional, knowledgeable, and left the place clean. I would recommend Kyle to anyone.

Turned out we needed a little bit more service to permanently solve our stuck drain, and Wayne came right back out here - on the spot, too - and went the extra mile for us. The second visit cost us **not one penny** in additional fees. Previously, Roto Rooter provided us with speedy service for an 8:30am call on the weekend three days before Christmas. Our drain is moving nicely now, and we would recommend Roto Rooter for any drain related needs.

My experience with Roto-Rooter was amazing from start to finish. My issue started late one evening and while they did not have a tech in the area, the rep on the phone talked me through some things I could do to prevent any further damage until the tech came in the morning. There was a 4 hr window for the tech to show up and he came after the first hour. It was an easy solution and it took less than an hour to fix. Not only did Carlyle fix what was broken, he did a little preventative maintanence as well. I had plans to go out of town that weekend and while initially I thought I might have to cancel, I managed to stay on schedule despite the unexpected event. Will definitively call Roto-Rooter if I ever have another plumbing issue.

I ask roto rooter to locate the sewer line. They missed the location by 6 ftCaused alot of unnecessary work, they were able to clear the clogged sewer which was appreciated, but again , i chose rooter roter becauseof their ability to locate the problem area which they failed to do. I was told it was in one place but the sewer line was 6 feet away.

I will make this short and sweet. They did complete the work, but I am not happy that the four hour they window they gave me was completely ignored, and I had to follow up two times before someone finally showed up about two hours after the close of the original window. And that person assured me, they would not need to remove the contents of my vanity drawer, because there should not be any mess coming out of my drain. As it turns out, a lot of sewage gunk ended up on my personal items, so I had to sanitize, and or throw away most of them. I found those two things to be extremely unprofessional. Will not use them again, unless I’m desperate.

The technician did a great job and was very personable. I took off a star because we had scheduled a service mid-week with a 4pm-8pm window. I had to take off work early to make the window, but they were a no-call no-show (I even called the dispatch office around 7pm to confirm the appointment which the central office assured me was set). When I called again at 8pm, I was transferred to the foreman who was very nice and apologetic but I had to reschedule for a Saturday. No idea why they spaced on my service window.

This is the second time I have had Roto Rooter come out and fix that wonderful Quest (Polybutylene) Piping that we have in our house. The problem was fixed in adequate time and all of the employees were very nice and helpful with the issue. Top not service team thank you!

Called Roto Rooter to unclog a backed up (in a pretty unpleasant way) drain in the bathroom. First visit cleared the clog temporarily but it backed up again a few days later. However, the work was warrantied and another technician came out quickly when I called after it backed up again. There and done within a few hours, with the problem solved for good. Pleasant, knowledgeable technicians each time. Not cheap, exactly, but worth it for the responsiveness and assurance of the labor warranty. Would definitely recommend.

The plumber was great. I will exclude him from this review. The other technicians and worker had poor communication. I was expecting one technician to come at a certain time but he never did and told me after I asked that he got tied up. He told me he would come at a certain time the next day and a different technician whose phone number I didn’t have shows up 5 hours earlier than that when I’m at work. That technician didn’t know where I had hidden a key and I didn’t have a way to get in touch with him. It ended up being a miscommunication on their end but it was frustrating and confusing. I had to pursue them to get information instead of them initiating that. The manager I called about this lacked customer service skills. Several fancy dresses had been removed from the closet by the technicians and set on a bed while still wet to stay for the next 4 days while the room was dehumidified, only for me to find after the equipment was removed. When I told this to the manager, he defended his workers and did not apologize. During the demolition, minor damage was done to another room.

Zach was very knowledgeable, punctual and professional. His work was of high quality and done right and he took the time to explain what was wrong and provided 2 different courses of action to proceed in repairing the problem. Thanks for a job well done.

Jason was great at diagnosis of the issue and then William came in to assist. They were both professional and helpful explaining the work. However, when I went to clean the tub in the evening after they have been gone a while I noticed a small hole in the tub that broke the fiberglass snd neither pointed out to me. I tried to call the number left on the receipt and the voicemail was full. I tried another number on the receipt that is disconnected. I finally got through on the National Roto Rooter number and they transferred me to a Raleigh number snd I have been waiting on a call back since 8:30 am, and it’s almost noon!!!

So if I had to say who was the worst plumbing company to deal with? I would say this company. I own a restaurant and time is always important. Apparently not with these guys... they have been out 6 times for same issue...and I keep paying... Today I had an appointment between 8-9AM. the called me at 8:50. To tell me I did not have an appointment?? SO I guess they just randomly call people on Sunday mornings just to tell them they don't have an appointment. This company is a joke! Stay away.....im done!

Zero stars if I could. I called Roto Rooter yesterday for help with a leak and was told 4-8pm window for technician. Tech arrived at 9:15 to tell me it’ll have to be done in the morning, says he’ll be back at 8am. This morning at 8:30 still no one is here so I call, get transferred to dispatch, who says he is off work today and she doesn’t want to send anyone else out because “he already started the ticket”. When I said why can’t you send someone else she got annoyed and said let me ask his manager, hung up, and I haven’t heard back. That was 2 hours ago, and in that time I found a local plumber (Ben Bittle) to come out and he’s literally fixing it right now. Roto Rooter has TERRIBLE service and the technician Ahmad who came out to my property lied right to my face about coming back to fix it, then dispatch refused to help me to cover for him. Terrible experience.

We had RotoRooter out to do a total rebuild of a toilet in our daughter's condo. A previous plumber had fixed a leak by simply putting plumber's putting over the leak! Mark was fast, professional and cleaned up after he was done. We would recommend RotoRooter to anyone.

Fast, friendly service. Saturday afternoon surprise water leak under the house. Fixed within 3 hours of initial call. I get to take a shower!

Horrible customer service. Called at 4:15pm because my kitchen faucet is spraying water underneath the sink when I turn it on. Was told they could send someone out the next day between 2-6pm. Not same day as advertised but ok. Wait around next day and don't hear anything so I call back at 4:30pm. The dispatcher tells me I am still on the schedule and a plumber will be at my house soon. They will call when they are on the way, about 30 minutes ahead of time. I still don't hear anything so I call back at 7pm. Dispatcher says the plumber cannot be here until 9pm. I think well, that is late but I need to be able to use my kitchen faucet/sink so ok. Dispatcher calls back 30 minutes later and tells me the plumber will not make it but they can put me on their schedule for the next day between 10am-12pm. At this point it is too late in the day to call someone else so I say ok. Next day comes and dispatcher calls at 9:49am to notify me the plumber is on the way and will be at my home in approximately 30 minutes. An hour and a half later, still no plumber. It has now been 2 days with no running water in my kitchen. I called another plumber in my area and he will be here in 2 hours. Don't waste your time calling Roto Rooter. No such thing as same day service or even next day service. Terrible communication. I will never call them again.

I was concerned because we found a leak on a Saturday but Adam arrived the same day and was very professional. He called in the needed expert for mold remediation immediately and I was able to get started on next steps. Adam also had lots of great advice in home maintenance, providing great value even though we didn’t get to do anything today, I feel great that our emergency will be addressed quickly and professionally!

Workmen were great both plumber and restorers. Paperwork had wrong address, never changed after first visit. Put equipment in dry basement across the street approved by GM. Found 3 days later. Put equip.in our house to finish drying it out, assume retook pictures. Lost pictures. Restaged equipment for insurance company pictures. This is a leadership and management issue. Also estimator never returned calls for either when pictures sent to insurance company, as asked, or to discuss going to wrong house.

He did not have all of the parts needed to repair the leak that night, but he capped off the leak so we had water and came back the next morning with the parts and finished the job.Were very pleased with his mannerisms and his work. Adam, Austin & Jean worked the morning of their scheduled day-off to replace our water heater. Adam responded Saturday early evening to our call of a leaking water heater. He assessed the options, obtained all parts that evening, and returned early Sunday morning with the others to complete the task.

EDIT: So it's been around four days since I first called them, and I have to edit this review and drop my rating from 5 to 2 stars.Since the original review, hilariously, I had to call about a different toilet, which was examined by the first technician, but he assured me no work was required. Second technician comes in, informs me that it needs a major rebuild as everything inside was broken, which means either the first repairman missed the glaring issues the second guy saw, or I was being upsold.To add to this, the toilet repaired by the first technician developed the same problem, substantially worse than the first time. So we call, a second technician comes out, fixes the toilet, again with a major rebuild instead of the minor rebuild the first one did. He leaves and not four hours later am I having the exact same issue in the exact same toilet that two different professionals have repaired.I write this update as the third technician on the way to see if they can finally fix whatever is going on. I sincerely hope this is a fluke not indicative of the quality of the company, but I no longer think I'll be using them again once this is resolved. The reason we chose to use a professional was to avoid the stress of potentially doing it wrong ourselves, and yet 500 dollars later, this has been such a stressful few days that I think the original point has been entirely missed.ORIGINAL REVIEW: Scheduling with Roto-Rooter was super simple and they had someone come out in less than two hours. Eugene helped identify the problem quickly, was honest with me about what needed to be fixed, and took care of it just as fast. I hope to not need to repair a toilet again anytime soon, but when I do, calling them again will be an easy decision!

I had a toilet drain obstruction that I could not clear. I’ve never had to use a plumber for this in my 30years of being a homeowner. The service technician, Tim, was professional and just as pleasant as he could possibly be. He was diligent about keeping the work space clean and cleaned up everything before he left. It was a Overall positive experience- the only negative is that it was quite expensive (but, worth it, obviously )

Tim was very professional and explained what the problem was and what he was going to do to resolve it. After 45 minutes the problem was fixed and we had our kitchen sink back.

Not only was I thrilled when their customer service agent told me there was no fee for someone to come and look at the unit (even if I chose not to have it serviced by them), but I was extremely satisfied with the service done by their technician Erik Bradley (4813). He was polite and professional, and went above and beyond the call of duty. I was shocked they were able to send someone out at 8:30 pm to check on the unit. I was more shocked that he stayed until 11 pm to make sure it was fixed. I'll use them again.

Erik Bradley came to my elderly mother’s home when she called and said she didn’t have hot water. He said she would need a new hot water heater and that it would cost between $4200 and $6200. My mother called me crying. I reminded her that she had a new water heater installed just a few years ago and to look up her paperwork. She did and found the warranty. She said Erik didn’t say much to that, but came back later to figure out which water heater she would need. When Erik called to schedule for the next day and I answered the phone, it seemed he could not hang up fast enough. I tried to ask him questions about what he saw, but he hung up on me.I wasn’t there when he was with my mother but she said he was very nice to her (which I appreciate very much), but I couldn’t believe how much he was wanting to charge for a new water heater.The people who installed the water heater 3 years ago came today and replaced one pipe and one gasket (at no charge) and my mother has hot water.

Thank you!Original Review:I had appointment for 2/16 between 2 and 4, called at 4:15 and was informed they were behind schedule and someone would “be there soon,” then 5, 6, and 7 went by with no call or technician. Got another call around 7:45 telling me I could still have a technician come that night, but it would still be a wait. Seeing as I put my toddler down at 7, I asked to reschedule for 2/17 between 12 and 2. The technician arrived at 3:45 and was able to diagnose and fix the issue. I was not home at the time the technician arrived or completed work, but did arrive in time to make my payment. I pulled up the $70 coupon online but the technician questioned its authenticity because he didn’t have his glasses. He also tried to upsell drain cleaner to me which I refused, but he said he could not honor my coupon unless I took the cleaner I didn’t want. Just wanting to be done with this whole process, I agreed to the tune of $500. I am appalled by the level of service, pressure, and lack of care I was provided, and I am envious of the many 5 star reviews posted here, as that was not my experience. I welcome the efforts of the owner to help make this right.

Wow. I mean WOW. Needed a water filter installed under our sink. Remove the old system and install the new system. No major drilling or level of difficulty because the hard work had already been done by previous plumber.Manufacturer says no plumber needed which is true. Not complicated to intall, just takes time, time I don't have.Two separate Roto Rooter plumbers (plumbers...ha ha ha ha ha...that's hilarious) said they couldn't install it. I read the manual and it isn't rocket science. In case you want to review the instructions yourself online it is Waterdrop RO.1) Screw faucet into existing hole in counter, connect hose to filtered.2) Existing water line plugs into input.3) Waste line connector already present just plug it it so it drains.4) Insert 3 provided filters5) Plug into existing electrical outlet1st appointment- 12 & 4pm. Showed up at 7:30pm. At least dispatch called to let us know.2nd appointment next day- they called me at 7:15 am. Plumber will be there in 45 minutes. 9 am no call-no show. I called in- oh your technician had to be re routed. Then they sent someone else who wouldn't install the system.The quality of people they are sending into homes is downright scary. I gave them two stars because both plumbers were polite otherwise it would have been one star. Poor quality and not on time twice.Roto Rooter will never touch anything plumbing related that belongs to me because I do not have faith that they know what they are doing. Eesh! Thumbs down. 👎

I needed to replace my main water shut off valve from a gate valve to a ball valve. Service tech was very knowledgeable and explained functionality of both valves before replacing. Process was quick - tech was in an out in about 30 minutes. As far as service and tech goes - 5 stars. However, I feel the pricing was a quite high compared to my research - which is why I took the rating down 1 star. I didn't time to have a second company give a quote so just went with it. I could be wrong on the pricing but the work was good.

First time using Roto-Rooter and I had a great experience! Bryce was very friendly and professional today. I reached out to them to get a second opinion on a laundry drain. I'm used to having to wait several days or over a week to get on the schedule with my regular plumber. RR came out the same day. One other awesome thing I learned is that they won't charge you if they can't fix your issue. I paid $275 for my regular plumber to come out and attempt to fix the drain, which they couldn't. RR was not able to fix the drain either using the same methods, but they did provide a drain-clearing enzyme treatment that I'm hoping works - it was only $75. Overall, I think their services might be more expensive than others but others will charge you if they can't fix it so I ended up saving a good bit of money. I would definitely use them again!

Travis was very professional in fixing the snapped pipe and making sure everything was secured so it wouldn’t happen again.Two weeks later and we had a clogged pipe. The first guy who came out gave little effort to fix the clog and told us there was no issue. Then it took the company 5 hours after the 2 hour window to get another person out here to fix the clog that the first guy skipped. Thankfully we got Travis again at 1am who was able to clear the clog correctly and got the house functional again.Although response time is mentioned in their on hold recording today was awful and every time I called back for updates I was just placed on hold and then told no updates could be provided at this time.

Speed and service were the plus side as they came out same day within a few hours, but a $300 job(quoted after repair as they couldn’t come out as same day from our regular plumbing service)was $1250!!!!! with this company. We were told by the on site estimator that this was half off since the pipe was already exposed which totals up to $2500 for a couple feet of copper and 2 hours of labor.EDIT: customer service reached out and knocked the bill down by almost half, which is fair considering the turn around and time of day.

I had a relatively minor leak that was the precursor of more problems to come on my 40 year old house and DJ caught it. They sent a plumber to do an initial assessment for a potential leak in our master bathroom. He was professional and knowledgeable but further evaluation is needed to determine if there is a leak.

The dispatcher was very professional and sent to a technician to clear our outside clogged sewage drain in a timely manner. We were back up and running in no time! The follow-up technician that put the camera down our pipe to look for other issues was professional and polite, however, he informed us he saw where there were likely roots in the pipe that needed to be removed and it would require a dig into our yard which would have been extremely expensive. I obtained a second opinion from another local plumber. They have equipment to detect the block more easily, and found the block elsewhere, cleared it out, cost not nearly what Roto Rooter would have charged and no digging involved.

My dog chewed through the wall and a water pipe during a thunderstorm, so I came home to water everywhere. They were out in about an hour and a half, fixed the pipe, and actually made a suggestion for an improvement in the location of the pipe, which I took them up on. He answered my questions fully and sent a water restoration specialist out a couple days later to make sure everything was drying out appropriately, which it was. Both people were friendly and professional, and addressed all my concerns. I thought the total price of $300 seemed very reasonable.

Thanks to Wayne for coming out at midnight to help troubleshoot a clogged septic pipe. Saved our bacon!

I am not happy about the services by Roto Rooter. I asked them to install a dishwasher. The new dishwasher is not compatible with hard wire and technician said we need extra parts to connect hardwire with dishwasher. So the technician plug the dishwasher to electlic outlet used by disposal, so we need to plug off disposal when we use dishwasher. I wanted them to get required parts and connect my dishwasher to electrocity appropriately. Also, they added extra service fee on top of signed quotation, because they just forgot to add the service fee when they showed their quotation.

I came down on a Sunday morning to find our half bath and part of the kitchen flooded from a backed up toilet. Roto-Rooter was one of the few places open. They sent someone out to flush the pipes and then offered to help with water mitigation. Since then, they’ve detected and repaired the faulty pipe removed the damaged flooring. Everyone we’ve encountered has been professional and courteous. They’ve made a hectic process very smooth. We’ve already been recommending them to our friends and neighbors!

Service came the day after I called and was a little expensive for the amount of effort and time it took for them to solve the problem, but the problem was solved and the technician was extremely professional and friendly.

We have used Roto Rooter for many years. After our most recent experience, we'll be getting multiple quotes before selecting them again.Our bathtub drain needed cleaning - it wasn't completely or even partially blocked, but the trap was clearly not doing its office, given the smell. Making an appointment with RR was easy, and the gentleman showed up on time. But for 30 minutes of work cleaning the drain, we were charged nearly 500 dollars! 60 of that was for a gallon of pipe cleaner. I couldn't - and still can't - believe it. Do plumbers really cost 1 thousand dollars an hour?!In light of that price, I expect the smell to never return; if it does, I'll be livid. Moreover, given how expensive that was, we will be getting multiple quotes from now on.On a related note, I wonder if the plumber who happens to show up in a given moment has some discretion? In the past, RR plumbers have not been this expensive. Some have even been kind enough to tell me things I can do on my own to save money.In any event, use caution. You may get charged 500 dollars for a half hour of work.Update: Despite the reply below and my prompt response to the same, no one ever reached out to me. However, the smell returned less than 12 hours later. Thus, the 500 dollar half hour did literally nothing. I called the manager and asked that the problem be fixed or that I get a refund. No refund was offered but the company sent Joe, tech #0729, out to our house, and he was great. He fixed the problem right away. (I will update if the smell returns.)HOWEVER, the solution to the problem was installing a new wax ring on the toilet. This is not at all difficult to do; I have done it myself in the past and would have done it again had it been properly diagnosed. What should have happened was the original technician should have properly diagnosed the problem, at which point I would have said thank you and gladly paid for the diagnosis, after which I would have replaced the ring myself. Thus, I would have only ended up paying for the diagnosis, which is what - 89 dollars? Instead, the problem was incorrectly diagnosed, I was charged 500 dollars for something that did absolutely nothing to fix the problem, and then, after I called and complained, the problem was finally fixed, but I'm still out 500 dollars.In sum, Joe was great; I'm glad the problem is finally fixed; but I should have only had to pay for the diagnosis. If RR had done things properly, I would have only paid for the diagnosis and would have saved ~400 bucks. That's a lot of money for anyone, but particularly a family of five with one income.After being a faithful RR customer for several years, I'm not sure if I will call them again. If I could get a guarantee that Joe would be the guy sent to our place, it might be worth it. But if I can't get that guarantee, I can't afford to pay 500 dollars to have someone improperly diagnose a problem. It's just not worth it.

The plumber they sent to hook up our kitchen sink was really nice and did an excellent job. But it was way more expensive than I expected. Over $700 just to reconnect a kitchen sink so I would call around before giving Roto-Rooter a call.

Great experience with everyone. This was my first plumbing emergency so I was nervous about price and how fast someone could get here here solve the issue. Mothers day emergency leak in my crawlspace. Came out very friendly and made the repair after confirming water leak. Alex was the first technician to come out he was very informative and kept me in the know. He gave it every effort and attempt he could before calling in for backup due to small space. That's when Damon jumped right in there and got covered in old nasty water. He crawled into the unknown through spider webs, dirt, rocks and a really bad smell. Soaking wet and a big smile he said happy to help. He had an apprentice with who was also very friendly and right there to help I wasn't able to remember his name. I wouldn't call anyone else for any plumbing needs. Much love and respect to these 3 gentleman and the phone team including dispatch, very reassuring and prompt. I hope I never have an issue again but if I do I hope they are working. 10 out of 5 stars if I could.

Consideribg the headache a main sewer line clog brings, once I called Roto-Rooter Raleigh my anxiety lessened. The first tech was Tim and he arrived 45 minutes after my early evening call. All was working but we needed a camera put through the line. Early the next day Zachary Roberts called and came to run the camera showing where the blockage was. While here, he called Austin Sherill to hand dig to the pipe and removed the blockage. A repeat camera insertion showed pipe was cleared out. So within 24 hours Roto-Rooter employees responded and fix a problem which could have been a major event at my house. Words cannot convey how appreciative we were for the workmanship, professionalism and knowledge of these men. Our thanks to Tim #2663 (dont know his last name) Zachary Roberts and the tech who broke his back digging for us Austin Sherill. Hats off to you!
