Best Water Heater Problem in Raleigh NC

Definitely recommended. I called after I had struggled to get through to and schedule a well-known plumber whom a friend recommended, pretty concerned because water was gushing up out of my front yard (think artesian well) and creating a waterfall into the storm drain, & sweeping huge amounts of sediment into the creek on my property line, despite my efforts to control it, shut off water to my house, contact the city, etc. (As a water scientist, the creek part bothered me, but also, of course, I was afraid I was running up a huge water bill.) Jayk's answered promptly and came right out. The poor guy who got stuck with the job (might have been Louis, but this was a year or two ago, and I forget) neatly and persistently dug out probably a few cubic meters of my front yard (and didn't even kill the plants in my straggly garden like the AT&T cable-laying folks did in the same area) with a shovel, in what I remember to be rather intense heat, and remained calm and good-natured through the whole ordeal. By exposing the pipes (and which way the water was flowing, via which holes continued to gush), he was able to demonstrate that the water was coming not from pipes that belonged to me, but from a city water main with an unusual bend into my yard. (Under, or at least nearer the street is normal.) The folks at Jayk's charged me a ridiculously low price for this service (way less than usual for a plumber; can't have covered their expenditures) because they hadn't been able to actually solve the problem; they can't mess with the city's pipes. However, Jayk's gave me the evidence I needed to persuade the city government to check their maps, realize that I actually did have a city water main in my yard, and send out a team to fix it, which was an entertaining production involving five or six jolly guys and a backhoe, but only about twice as much earth movement as that one guy from Jayk's did on his own by hand. Remarkable.

Could not be more pleased!!! After contacting several local plumbing companies, I decided to go with Joseph! We were so blessed that we did!!
We had an odd situation with our dishwasher. The wrong size pipe had been installed. Due to it being such an odd size, Joseph had to order a special tool just to work on this pipe. (no supply shop had it either, it was a weird size that could only be special ordered)
He ordered the tool and came back as soon as he received it. He did not charge us any extra for having to order this specialty tool nor did he charge us any extra for having to come back. I have been 'nickled & dimed' with other companies, but not with Golden Rule!!!
Thank you so much for a job well done. I will be referring you to everyone I know. I am so blessed to have found a great, knowledgeable, and HONEST plumber!!!!

Swift and great service! Was referred by a co-worker and called bright and early at 6:15 and was amazed to get someone on the phone. I recently relocated to Raleigh and had some work done on the house that required the carpenters to remove the toilet to lay down a wood floor. It was obvious that the wax seal had deteriorated and needed to be replaced. I researched plumbers on YELP and found that CK Plumbing had excellent reviews. I called to make an appointment and everyone I dealt with was helpful and friendly. Sean and his coworker showed up at my house on schedule, re-placed the wax ring and re-seated the toilet. The charge was what was quoted. I won't hesitate to call them again for more work, or when I redo my bathroom.

David was a life saver! Today, on a Sunday, we had sewage water spewing out of the powder room toilet. He responded to us so quickly! He assessed the problem and cleared the clog completely, inside and in the crawl space. This is not the first time he has solved our plumbing problems. Could not be happier with CK's Plumbing & Backflow. Our 50 gallon water heater was well beyond its life span sitting in our third floor attic. We began receiving quotes to remove and replace with a tankless water heater and after reading so many positive reviews on various websites about CK's Plumbing & Backflow we reached out to them for a quote. Could not be happier with this company – the overall process was a turn-key operation from the day we reached out to the finished job. Megan in the office scheduled us quickly with an estimator, Bob. The day for our estimate – Bob actually reached out with the option to come by a little earlier than expected - which worked out great. He explained our different options and locations for the tankless – and provided a very reasonable quote. After receiving several quotes on the job – we felt the most comfortable going with CK’s due to price, the abundance of positive reviews, and the overall receptiveness we had to that point. We reached back out to CK’s and scheduled with Megan – who explained the installation and inspection process and put us on the books for a week later. On the day of the job – Nick called as he was on the way and he and Tim arrived to our house right on time first thing in the morning. Could not have asked for a better 2 – man crew than Nick & Tim. They were extremely efficient and were very careful about not tracking anything through the house as they worked to drain, remove the old tank, and cap everything off in the attic and install the new tankless outside. Not too long after lunch – the job was complete – the attic was empty and hot water was flowing through the house from the exterior tankless. The next day – Megan reached out first thing in the morning from the office and informed us that Nick was on his way to set everything up for the inspection and he planned to wait for the inspector’s arrival and completion so he could get us set back up with hot water soon after the inspection was completed. From beginning to end – we could not have been happier with the work and responsiveness from CK’s Plumbing & Backflow. We highly recommend them for any plumbing needs!

I set up an appointment online first thing in the morning and within one hour Scott (2062) showed up at my door. He was very personable and courteous. Even though my problem ended up not being a very big job he tackled it and then went on to look at another issue I was having with a sink. Thank you Scott and Roto-Rooter for taking care of us today. Do not use! I chose John Hutchins’ company because he seemed very knowledgeable and was priced reasonably. The project started off well enough to get the big draws, but then started dragging and dragging. It was like pulling teeth to get them to do work. Finally they just stopped showing up. I had another plumber come in to finish the job. The mistakes he had to correct from John’s guys have cost me thousands of dollars.

Highly recommend, Kaylee is a great asset to Optimal Plumbing! Super efficient and meticulously GREAT at her profession.

I've had Walston Plumbing fix a few things in my home, from small leaks to big-time pipe replacement and they are always professional, clearly explain what is happening, and get the job done in a reasonable amount of time. Wally and his crew have been around for years and it shows. I would recommend them for any plumbing repair or new install you might have.

Used their service to replace my old electrical water heater with Hybrid water heater, they did not finish their job of connecting the electrical cables to new water heater as cables were short, they left saying that an electrician has to do the job, which they did not give an estimate before starting the job.
They did not use CPVC pipes, did not put the water heater on existing stand, and they were asking for more to add extra CPCV pipes that are required for my new water heater.
Basically i can tell they were very unprofessional, but they charge as other professionals do. DON'T HIRE THEM.
