Great job, highly recommend!

Very pleased with the work David performed replacing main shut off valve and pressure regulator. He and his helper were very efficient with their work. He is my go-to plumber from now on.

Let me start by saying how satisfied I am with the work David Dobbs did today. I'll called him at 7:20 this morning, he called me back in two minutes, and excepted the my job to replace the water heater. David told me he would arrive at my place at noon but to my surprise he was here 15 minutes early. After a 40 minute diagnosis, he was off to the plumbing supply house to get all the materials needed to replace the bad water heater. At 3-ish we were sitting at my table for payment, the water heater was installed, and David was on his way. I would recommend David to anyone because he's courteous , affordable, and gets the job done in a timely manner.

I was recently a first time customer of David Dobbs plumbing and while I hope to not need their services anytime soon, I will definitely be a repeat customer! The service was fantastic, and the thing that I appreciate most is how hard David worked to save me as much money as possible which DEFINITELY builds trust and makes me more ok spending money on the things that he recommends. I called thinking I needed a hot water heater replacement and what he sold me on was a much simpler solution. I highly recommend him!

David was great! I called on a whim because I needed a faucet replaced. He had a cancellation and turned up within the hour, replaced the faucet and some other 50 year old parts all within a couple of hours for a great price. He's a great guy too and I highly recommend him.

David repaired a leaky joint by the expansion tank on my dad's water heater last year. I am sure it was a minor job for him, but to my 90+ year old dad, no plumbing project is minor. I happened to stop by while he was still there, and appreciated Dave's patience with my dad's questions.

So, after I took a refreshing cold shower :-( this morning, I contacted him for help. I told him the make/model of the unit and he said he would gather the parts he suspected he would need, and come over.
He called back in a few minutes and told me where the RESET button was hidden.
We agreed I would give that a try, and let him know... and it WORKED.

He could have had a _Sunday_ house-call fee... but chose not to.

When my water heater finally does fail, I will not hesitate to call him to replace it.

I HIGHLY recommend PSR ! I am so impressed with the workmanship (100%+) and the honest pricing. David and Jim came out the same day I called... as our HWH was a goner, and needed replacement . It is in the attic, pull-down stairs, and in 87 + degree heat. Not only was the unit replaced , Dave improved the way the pipes were originally laid out and other little extras, and left the place clean! He went above and beyond and he charged an amazing price !..for all that hard work and all this at the last minute at the end of the day! AND not only that but he guarantees his labor for ONE YEAR! Who does that? THAT is HONEST Hard work and as you know, is very rare these days. This is our plumber from now on ! DO it! call them...You will be glad you did.

Outstanding service and honest pricing. I had two other plumbing companies quote me 1700 to 2300 to repair a leaking shower faucet. They all said they couldn’t replace the cartridge, etc.
well David showed up and he replace the cartridge and fixed the issue for under two hundred. He was responsive and he knows what he’s doing. An honest plumber and honest business. No gouging like other plumbing companies.

This company showed up on time and replaced a mixing valve for a shower. They were very friendly and very professional. The repair was completed in a timely and competent manner. When I needed an adjustment almost a year later within that warranty period they answered the phone promptly and came back within a few days as agreed. They made the additional adjustments to my satisfaction with no additional charges. In an era when it is so difficult to find someone you can trust and is professional and honors their warranty, this company checks all those boxes. Our 22-year-old water heater finally died. I called David Monday morning, and he rapidly and professionally replaced the water heater with a new one on the same day. We agreed to a price before he started, and when complete, he said it didn't require as much effort as he expected and charged me $200 less. What plumber does that? Plumbing Services of Raleigh is excellent. I have used this company twice during emergencies. My hot water heater busted and Mr. Dobbs came immediately. He replaced the water heater and was efficient and effective in getting the job done. Sunday I had another emergency and again he responded immediately. I was looking for a highly-rated, independent plumber in North Raleigh to replace my water heater. David promptly returned my call, was very accommodative with my schedule, and arrived when he said he would. David is affable, reasonably priced, and competent in his trade. I will use David at Plumbing Services of Raleigh again and I recommend him for plumbing repairs without hesitation.

Pros: I called for an emergency leaking pipe in my crawlspace, and they got it fixed the same day.

Cons:
They were ~3 hours late (scheduled for 6pm, showed up at 9PM).
They charged me an emergency after-hours fee (after being late)
After assessing the situation, they made a series of demonstrably false statements (I have photographic evidence to counter them all) to suggest the purchase of more expensive services, including that:
1. My water pressure was 110PSI (my gauge later read 97PSI)
2. I do not have a water-pressure reducing valve installed on my house (I do - it may not be working properly, but it is clearly visible from the area the plumber was working in)
3. The supply line from the meter to the house is made of PB and likely to burst (it is made of PEX, transitioning to PB in the house. This is also clearly visible from where the plumber was working)

I would recommend getting a second opinion before committing to any services this enterprise recommends..

This is the second time I have used David. The first was replacing a shut off valve for a toilet and the second was unclogging a drain in the bathroom. Each time, he has been responsive, prompt, and honest. He not only fixes the problem, but also explains steps to ensure the problem doesn’t come back again. I will continue to call him first for any issue with plumbing in our home.

This company is FANTASTIC!!!!! They have a technician named Jimmy who is hands down the best plumber I have ever seen!!!!! I would highly recommend this company to anyone who has household repairs!!!!!!

David came quickly (late Friday afternoon) to repair my broken pipe. He was very reasonably priced, and did not charge extra for coming on short notice.

Had a pipe burst in the ceiling wall when I came home from work late at night. Called Plumbing Services of Raleigh the very next day and talked to David, and he literally showed up 7 minutes later. No Joke. He located the broken pipe, and explained the situation in detail about why it happened and answered all of my questions. I was actually exhausted from the night before (from being waterless) and had not thought much about the pricing, but it was very competitive. It was a great surprise since I've used other plumbing companies before. Can't say thank you enough.

David was the only plumber who responded (quickly) and actually showed up in a timely manner to complete the complicated task of replacing all the polybutylene pipes in a condo we were refurbishing. We found him to be honest, thorough and reliable. That beats every other plumber we've ever had! Since then we've had him respond to 1 emergency at our house and another odd project requiring a re-routing of sewer drains for a landscaping project. Now we are going to have him re-work our plumbing for a bathroom remodel. He knows his stuff!

David supported me in Home Depot to help select the right material for a project I was working on. He even gave me his number and told me to call if I had questions. Well I did and after several text messages and advice I was able to complete the project. When someone helps you just to be helpful says all I need to know about their character. David has helped diagnose and quickly resolve issues for us twice now! As new home owners, we've found it is hard to find contractors who are responsive, trustworthy, and knowledgeable. David is all of those things.

Most recently, we had sewage backing up from our downstairs shower drain - not something you want to ever experience, especially when you're nine months pregnant! David came out the next day - earlier than he originally promised - and resolved the issue within a few hours at a very reasonable rate. A true lifesaver!! Would highly recommend.

I had an appointment scheduled for 2:00pm to install a new dishwasher. The plumber showed up over 1 hour early without any call. He looked at the pipes for the dishwasher and told me he hates to install dishwashers. He didn’t want to do it. He offered me the name of a handyman located several towns away. He said he was going to have to tell the assistant to stop giving him dishwasher install jobs. I asked if they had another plumber on staff to do it. He said “I’m the only one”. He asked what other plumbing I needed. Of course I said no. I will be calling another provider. I do not recommend this company.

I called David after hours and he came to fix my issues immediately! He offers a one year warranty on his work, and he actually honors that warranty. I called him back for an issue that i thought was related to the inital call, but wasn't and he fixed it for a minimal charge anyway! It is rare to find a company that has such great service after the sale. I would recommend Plumbing Services of Raleigh to anyone!

Our water heater was leaking and stopped working. We called around to see who can help us immediately. One place mentioned in three weeks!!
We called Plumbing Services of Raleigh, and David said he could come out the same day. And he did relatively quickly! AND it was his birthday! Talk about great customer service.

I saw excellent reviews about David on Next Door and called him to fix a leaky faucet. He came to my home that night a fixed it quickly at a minimum charge. I recently needed to exchange a bath and shower with a new walk-in shower without having to pay for an expensive re modeling job. He came by the week I called, took measurements, and had the job done by the next week. The shower is just what I wanted. He was always courteous and knows plumbing. I trust him to get the job done right and confidently recommend him.

David with PSR was very professional. He helped me figure out the most cost effective ways to solve my plumbing issues, was in time for our appointment, and friendly. We had a secondary emergency issue arise two days later, and David came within 30 minutes to take care of it for us. We're using PSR again for additional work.

David has been my go-to plumber for some time now, as he has been incredibly responsive, thorough and reasonably priced. When my hot water heater burst, he was out to my house same day to assess the issue and a new water heater was installed the same day. When someone else worked on some of my appliances and hooked them up incorrectly, David was there the same day to fix their mistakes. Now, my home is under contract and there were a couple of items from the inspection report that need repair. And without fail, David is quick to come out, assess the items, and complete the repairs for me. I cannot recommend him highly enough! His is a number to keep stored in your cell phone for when you need a local plumber!
