He was prompt both times he came to the house (once to diagnose the problem; the next to install the new toilet). He was respectful of our home, wearing mask and booties at all times, laying down a protective barrier, and thoroughly cleaning up afterwards. Knowledge is indeed a pathway to freedom. You know the adage - give a person a fish and feed them for a day, teach a person to fish . . . Okay, okay, enough with the pseudo-philosophical start to this review. In all honesty, here is the deal - Roto-Rooter . . . is . . . amazing.We'd been having a sort of sluggish drain issue in our master bathroom for weeks. In an attempt to solve the problem, I had already had a plumber out - to no avail. Everything was customer-focused, from the moment I logged into their website, to the confirmation phone call from the dispatcher, to the friendly and incredibly kind technician.Eric C., the Roto-Rooter technician, showed up at our house early. He waited patiently in his service vehicle while I hurried home from picking up our daughter from school and then politely told me what a goofball I was. No, he did no such thing. Instead, he walked me through the steps to rectify the problem on my own and taught me the measures to prevent the issue from recurring. He was thoughtful, courteous, and ever-patient with my ineptness around tools. Oh, and the pièce de résistance - he didn't charge me anything. Wow! Talk about genuinely customer-focused services.I will never, ever go to another plumber again. I am entirely sold on Roto-Rooter and can't speak highly enough for Eric and the kindness he showed. Do yourself and your house a favor - call Roto-Rooter before you try any other plumbing group. You will not be sorry.

Friendly, efficient, and informative.

My neighbors called this company but for some reason they're blocking my driveway and when I came out to ask the driver to move the car he told me he'd be leaving in a few minutes anyway and then just walked away and disappeared. I said I needed to be able to get out of my driveway soon and I am not convinced that that matters to anyone. Furthermore I don't even see the necessity for blocking my driveway.

We had a clog down our drain pipe for our washer and Jeff got it sorted out in a few minutes. We tried getting it unclogged with a rented equipment from Home Depot ourselves but with no success. You gotta let the professional, Jeff in this case, do what he do best.

Davis Plumbing NW is amazing. They re-piped our entire home and replaced a couple drains. They were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, our kids and dogs had to be here during the process but they were super sweet to our animals and little ones. They kept us informed on each step, our house is older so there were a few issues they came across (not from them but from previous work that was done) but they were able to fix everything and make it brand new. We are extremely satisfied and will be recommending them to everyone and using them again if we ever have any plumbing needs in the future. Great job guys!!

I used Central Air when I went thru Clean Energy Works of Oregon to do energy improvements to my house. Chris Barry was very professional when he came to do the testing to see just what needed to be done. He explained what he was doing with each test and there was no high pressure to do every recommendation. My husband and I had time to discuss the results and decided what to move forward with. When the workers showed up, they were polite and made sure they cleaned up after themselves before they left. I would highly recommend Clean Energy Works and Central Air.

Well i’d say they got the best plumbing services . Their working skills is unbelievable .

Once I had some work done by Craig Anderson, I don't use anyone else. They're good about scheduling, efficient in their work, and honest in their billing. When one of their plumbers had to go into the crawl space, he assessed accurately, taking all the tools and supplies he'd need so he wouldn't have to crawl in and out multiple times.

A couple nights ago, my bathroom sink started flooding and I had to called Best Portland Plumbers. They were at my house in surprisingly short order & effectively fixed the flood. Will use again as needed in the future!

Mr. Rooter was able to schedule a plumber within a few hours of contact. Chris identified the problem, provided options and associated estimates, and completed the work in a timely manner. The process was painless and pleasant.

I was worried when I read reviews but had no choice since they are who our Home Warranty service chose. But Zach (the first guy to come out to check out the problem) was great, professional and knowledgeable, answered all our questions clearly. And then the two guys who came out to do the installation were great as well. We were relieved and pleased.

Things started out great. But ended in the worst experience I have ever had with someone doing work in my home, and left me feeling unsafe.

My husband set up the appointment and I was there alone with my two toddler-age kids when the two employees arrived. They were kind and congenial. In fact, one offered to show me how he installed something so I could do it myself on a different tub if desired. Great service. When the employee was finished, my husband called the employee with some questions about the bill. If you care, they were rate-related questions detailed below. If not, skip to next paragraph:

One question was about the rate we were charged being different than the rate agreed upon by phone beforehand (Which Paul, the boss, confirmed when he finally listened.) The second question was about how much time he was logging. He was charging us for time filling out the invoice, for example. (A previous plumber we used had the invoice and payment ready within sixty seconds. This plumber took 15 minutes out in the car after he finished the work. Seems nitpicky... but really adds up at $160 an hr. When you consider we are being charged for transportation time to the site, that means we are paying a total of $75 for time they are not doing plumbing work).

At the end of the conversation my husband asked to talk to Paul to verify the rate. Meanwhile, I had no idea what is going on, but within about sixty seconds into the phone conversation, I hear the employee downstairs yelling on the phone to my husband. I was upstairs in my bedroom with my two young children. The employee then called his boss and was ranting loudly about my husband as the employee walked up the stairs to my bedroom. At that point, this large male who was speaking loudly and aggressively was standing in my bedroom between me and the door, about five feet away from me and my children, both of whom were wide-eyed staring at the man yelling about my husband. I motioned and quietly asked him to please finish the conversation downstairs. He did not stop or move and instead said loudly into the phone Now they're both suddenly unsatisfied.

Honestly this is a major safety issue. The employee was so congenial and appropriate up until that point, and escalated so quickly that I wondered if he has an anger management issue. Here are a few rules that I should not have to tell you: Do not walk up the stairs to my bedroom while you're yelling on the phone. Do not stand in my bedroom, between me and the doorway while yelling on the phone. If a female with young children in tow, politely asks you (a stranger acting aggressively and unpredictably) to leave her bedroom, you say Oh my goodness, of course. You do not argue with her.

I probably wouldn't even be writing this review, if I had gotten a response from Paul (the boss and owner) that indicated he understood the gravity of the problem. Instead, Paul was defensive. His first response to me when I told him what was happening was settle down and then well yeah, he was upset because your husband wasn't paying the bill (This is not at all true. The employee told my husband he'd have to talk to Paul to verify what rate was quoted and then he hung up on my husband. There was no threat whatsoever of not paying, and Paul jumped to this conclusion before even talking to my husband.). Once I told Paul it would be really wise to just listen well and recognize that this is an important safety issue and that the employee needs to take responsibility for his actions regardless of whoever is making him mad on the phone, he finally said okay, okay, he understood and would reprimand the employee.

Frankly, it seemed pretty clear to me that Paul didn't see it as a serious issue. That is concerning. He was apparently more apologetic to my husband and said they have all be working really hard and are tired. I hope indeed this was an anomaly, but we won't be using them again and wouldn't recommend them.

Call the company for the first time a man answer the phone did not tell me the company name just said hello super standoffish I asked if he can come out to check out my home he said no he can’t I asked him if he can refer to anybody he said no and hung up on me super weird I would not recommend them
