Justin Soares did an amazing job. He was very knowledgeable. My AC was making a loud humming noise in my new home. After inspection it was essentially the sound of the air flowing through the vents. He could have just left it there however he went the extra mile to do a full inspection as well as take the time to find a way to mitigate the issue. He spent the time needed to adjust each inlet on the vent to allow better air flow and reduce the noise to almost nothing! Thank you again Justin! In addition I was sent the photo and full name of the rep before their arrival. Excellent service!

Gave these guys a call this morning around 10am, by 3pm they had someone at my house to assess the situation. Turns out my water heater was so old it made no sense to repair it and it was time for a new one. Oh great, I thought... Gunna be a few more days...nope! Zach, the guy who took the job, was on top of it and wanted to make sure I could take a hot shower tonight. He left to go get a brand new unit, showed back up to unload the new one and darn it.... The manufacturer sent them a banged up item! He wouldn't have it, and went to get another one so he knew I was getting a good product. I appreciate that he valued doing a good job so highly. Took the time to teach me all about my new water heater, and left after going above and beyond. Plus he just seemed like an awesome guy. Karissa, the awesome lady who helped get someone to me so fast this morning was lovely as well. I truly didn't expect that from phone call to install would only take hours, but this team was on top of the ball! Highly recommend them!

Our job is still in progress, but I've no issue leaving a review for the process so far. Central has been a pleasure to work with. The quote we received was accurate and effective, we felt listened to as customers and our needs/wants/desires were considered before a solution was recommended. Upon moving forward with the process, we were given the requisite information to prep for our install, so as to be prepared. Our installers were friendly, professional and considerate. We were kept in the loop through the initial work, and were queried where necessary, in order to ensure that everything was on target. While our job isnt complete yet, we're so far, very happy with the work thats been done to date. We feel that we're getting the appropriate value for our money, given the current cost of everything, and are very much looking forward to the benefits of having effective temperature control for the top floor of our home. In so far, I have nothing bad to say about central, and would recommend their services.

Our old heat pump went out and because both the heat pump and furnace were very old we replaced both and had our electric panel updated since we had a pushmatic.All of the employees were very professional and responsive. The install crew arrived on time and were respectful and answered any questions we had along the way. The new system is running great and we are very happy with the end results.

The tech was great. He was professional, on time, and thorough. My furnace needed repairs and he was able to set up a follow up appointment while he was on site.
What a great group to work with! Nobody wants to have to replace their heating and cooling units- but it’s a necessity after 20 years!!! The process went smoothly - everything happened as they said. John was great! He was friendly, super knowledgeable and took the time to answer all of my questions. He did the yearly maintenance on our AC and forced air system as well asour tankless water heater. It was long over due and thankfully it all cleaned up really well. Our home is 7 years old and we will be better about giving some extra love to our systems to keep them running efficiently. The service was exceptional from the first call I made and will use them again. Highly recommend!

Had Central Air out to perform a service on our heat pump and furnace. When our service tech, John, was dispatched, we received a text message with John's picture and info so we knew who was coming to our house AND a link to a tracking feature so we could see exactly how long it would take for him to arrive- very cool! John took the time to explain our system to us and answer any questions we had and made some good suggestions for us to consider. Overall we were very pleased with the service and feel confident in recommending Central Air to any of our friends.

We recently had Central Air and Heating install an air conditioning system in our home. The install went extremely well with the team being very professional and willing to work to solve some difficult problems given the age and size of the home. I strongly recommend Oleg and the team - good value, prompt and did exactly what was needed and even more.
Mathew came out and diagnosed a very small leak In the coolant and replace it and now my air conditioner is working perfectly! Super professional!! Highly recommend
So, I first booked an appointment through the Google online scheduling tool. I selected a date and time that worked for me and shortly after talked with a representative about the issue I was having with my Air Conditioner. Once the date I had selected online came around no technician showed up, so I called to see what was up. This time the representative informed me my appointment wasn't for 2 more weeks,which the first phone representative never actually told me the appointment date during their initial intake call. When I called out the poor communication of the first rep and mentioned the inconvenience this caused me the 2nd rep told me that I should have reviewed the appointment confirmation email rather than taking responsibility for not telling me on the initial contact.So, I wait 2 weeks for my appointment, but on the day of the appointment I find out I've contracted COVID. In order to protect the technician I turn off the breaker feeding the A/C unit (so he won't need to enter my home) and I make sure to mask up prior to his arrival. When he arrives at the front door I tell him to stay outside come around to the backyard where the AC is and I let him know I have COVID so for his safety I will stay masked/keep my distance and I ask him not to come inside the home, again for his safety. After this talk he goes to his vehicle for what I assume is to get his tools, and I wait by the AC unit. About 2-3 minutes pass and then I go looking for him and he is back at the front door. At this time he informs me it is company policy that if someone in the home has COVID they just have to leave and reschedule, regardless of whether they have to go inside the home or not.To be fair, this company policy is not that big of a deal to me. I respect them wanting to protect their technicians. However, I am now 3 weeks out from when I initially contacted this company to service my AC unit and it has been nothing but a waste of my time. At no point have they seemed to take the issue I am trying to resolve seriously, therefore I will be taking my business elsewhere. I'd recommend you do the same.

I had a heating problem today. Called Central Air and was informed that they could send someone on Monday. I explained that I wanted someone today. I was told that a technician would there between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM. The technician showed up at 12:50 PM. He was very polite and resolved my issues.

The service technician Randy is a good representative of the company. He is efficient, professional, helpful and informative. We have had regular maintenance service from Central Air for many years. It's definitely worth the money to prevent repairs that are more costly and difficult.

Frank was awesome!! Super knowledgeable, showed up on time, worked nonstop all day to get my install done and even hooked up my smart thermostat when that wasn’t part of the original quote. He was with Zach (I think) and both were great. HIGHLY recommend these guys!

John was very professional and proficient at assessing the problem and helping solve the problem quickly. His time is valuable and he used it quite reasonably and kept us informed of all tasks and necessary information at all times. We look forward to seeing John again for future repairs.
After they rescheduled their initial visit a couple of times, a team of two came for an estimate. They seemed extremely professional and knowledgeable. They wore the protective booties, had matching uniforms, and a spiffy logoed vehicle. An hour after they came they called and said they would be sending another individual (Dennis) out to give me a more accurate estimate for my attic/duct works job. That visit was rescheduled once and occurred a week later. I expected the bid to arrive via email in the next business day or two. I waited a week. Then I called and the woman in the office said she would have Dennis call me right away. Nothing. I waited three more days and then called again. This time the woman seemed annoyed and said she would have someone call me. That was two weeks ago now. Heed this and the other reviews that this company will waste your time and is extremely unprofessional.

We are very impressed with Central Air and their employees. They installed our system just over 5 years ago. It's been great, but we recently had our thermostat fail and it was just out of warranty. The manufacturer was not helpful, but Central Air did an amazing job and took it upon themselves to remedy the problem. Their service manager Dan was professional and responsive. He literally had his people out within 24 hours to remedy the issue. Their office staff was very nice and the tech that came out to do the work was just as good. We would recommend them and we will continue to work with them to do all our service and maintenance.
I want to say that I'm very happy to choose central air heating and cooling service. Matthew was very helpful and did the job really well. I had earlier scheduled a service from another local company and they were way off in diagnosing the issue. Not only were they off in diagnosis the charges were ridiculious. Matthew did all the checks and fixed the issue and even povided some tips to save costs. There were some delays in scheduling as the appointment got moved twice in the middle of a heat wave. This was expected I believe with everyone trying to get hold of them, I guess! I will definitely choose central air cond for my HVAC servicing needs in the future.

We canceled a company that was going to take over a week to complete the water heater replacement and found Central. They got it done 2 days after our call.
Sean (and Tim) with Central Air were absolutely incredible! They were very respectful while working on our furnace and AC installation and the workmanship was phenomenal! Everything was perfectly cleaned up afterwards AND we finally had AC after being sweaty for weeks. I’d definitely recommend them to anyone looking for an HVAC upgrade at a great cost!
As the weather got a little colder and the ecobee called for heating for the first time since Spring, we found the heat pump didn't kick on when calling for heat. Call Central and they were out next day. Tommy Hummer showed up and quickly diagnosed the problem and had it up and running. Tommy was very knowledgeable and courteous. Thank you, Tommy!

Poor quality company. We used them as a builder and they have caused us a lot of grief and money out of our own pocket because they cracked almost every single roof vent and didn’t respond to any of the repair work. We ate the cost, and a whole entire furnace replacement that we also had to sub somebody else out for, we also ate that cost as well. Highly would NEVER recommend them.
Central Air has been performing preventative maintenance on my HVAC for quite some time. They have always been prompt, courteous and communicative from scheduling through the service call. Tommy performed my most recent maintenance and he provided a thorough explanation of the service he performed.

Ryan and Zach were incredibly friendly, professional, and efficient. They were thorough and transparent about all the options I had for fixing a leaking toilet and were able to fix the issue on the spot.
This is a warning to others about this company's poor communication.We scheduled a tech to come out and repair our AC using their Google booking system. After not hearing back we decided to call the company directly. My husband was informed that she needed to call around to see what was going on but would give him a call back at the number he provided with more info. We never got a return call.It is now over 30 minutes past the 2 hour window we were scheduled for. We were trying to be understanding, but I again called and asked for an update. I was told that Google did not have the right schedule information and they had no availability until the 10th of August.Now I get tech can be an issue and totally understand the scheduling thing not being on them, but why on earth did no one from the company reach out to us and let us know such was a case?! We could have spent all this time trying to find someone else, but instead we wasted a whole day in this heat wave for a no call no show. A simple apology does not make up for the fact that they completely dropped the ball on informing us of the situation.Take your business somewhere where they respect your time.

I called and was told someone would arrive same day. No one showed up, so I called after hours, and the woman on the phone was rude, argumentative, and unhelpful. Frank has been out before and I have always found him to be well educated about his job and happy to share information with us as homeowners. The office was a little slow to respond this time requiring three messages were left over the course of a week before we got a call back and then the day they were supposed to come out there were a no show / no call. Frank came out the next day and apologized for the delay.

I called Central Air Heating, Cooling & Plumbing because my pipes had frozen during the cold snap and, while water flow had semi-returned, was still having some issues. I've reached out to these folks originally to install an AC back in 2021 after reading great reviews. AC was already plumbed for the house but we wanted to install a unit in anticipation of the crazy hot PNW weather during that summer. The folks were very timely with scheduling with great updates as the appointment came close. The people who installed were professional and did a pretty good job. There was a small oversight (believe the power was routed incorrectly), but the folks addressed in a follow-up appointment very quickly. They also helped with a smart thermostat installation at that time as well. Been having no issues with the AC since then and I even got a complementary HVAC inspection the following year! Again, great customer service all around.I didn't realize that this same company also did plumbing. I reached out to them once again notifying them of a running toilet which the plumber Stan was able to figure out was due to a degraded seal ring. Unfortunately Jacuzzi has stopped producing toilets recently and we could not find the parts. The only option was to replace the toilet. Stan told me he could do it that same day (!) if I provided him with the new toilet. Ran to my local HD, picked out my toilet, and Stan installed it. To add to this, we had a bidet seat that we've been wanting to install as well and had issues doing so due to tight bathroom space (the only option being to pull the toilet out and install the seat along with the toilet). Stan was able to include the bidet installation with the initial quoted price! He did this and the toilet installation all in 1 hr, on the same day, and was courteous/respectful and provided great updates throughout the whole process. Clean up was great and he helped dispose of the old toilet. Thank you so much Stan!So with that, I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for HVAC or plumbing needs! I've always had a wonderful, prompt response and you can tell customer service is one of their most important values!

Submitted an inquiry at 8am, had someone out by noon and the repairs were done by 1. Super quick service, courteous and professional and easy to work with. Our tech Zach was very knowledgeable and personable and was able to quickly diagnose and deal with the issues. He was in and out with such efficiency that our normally sensitive dog didn’t even notice. Highly recommend!

Matthew of Central Air (and Molalla!) gave extraordinary service today, checking our 16 year old gas furnace that hadn't been serviced in at least 6 years and possibly much longer. I watched him, and peppered him with questions (having fixed thousands of things myself in my 64 years!) He thoroughly went over a ton of systems, and checked a variety of safety, and performance, systems. He cleaned sensors , blew out critical tubes, carefully checked the heat exchanger, fans, etc etc. He explained things in very understandable language. We want it to run as efficiently as possible, especially given our climate disruptions ( we cannot just sit on our hands while the West dries up and burns etc.) We discussed heat pump alternatives when our furnace does reach the end of its useful life, (and they're very efficient.) We went with their ~ $120 a year maintenance plan, which keeps this major system running as efficiently as possible, keeps it safe, protects our indoor air quality, and gives really nice discounts if larger repairs are needed - and it will extend the furnace's useful life. All the while he was here, Matthew was a pleasure to be around. THANK YOU, MATTHEW OF MOLALLA AND CENTRAL AIR!!!

Great service and I so appreciated them getting us in so fast. We added the air scrubber and I am excited to see how it works.
I was charged 50 dollars for them to come and look at my faucet for 10 seconds and then try and charge me 500 for washers. I won't be using them again.
Tommy was cheerful and knowledgeable. He gave me a good overview and what kinds of things to keep in mind when we decide where to go from here.
We had a very difficult time finding the part that was required for replacement in her tankless gas hot water heater. Our plumber Zack and his company went all out searched did everything found the part schedule it for repair came and fixed it I could not recommend a better company to deal with I appreciate all the hard work they did just to locate and get the part in thank you so much.

Seth, Augustine, and Mike did a great job. They kept us informed during all parts of the installation, took care not to impact the rest of the house, and even managed not to let the chickens out of the back yard when they were working on the compressor! They also did a great job explaining the system when they were done. We really appreciate their exceptional service.

Our hot water heater died. Central Air sent out Ryan who was friendly and professional. He assessed the issue and gave us several options. Then he did the work quickly and well. Would use them again!
Last fall my HVAC went out on me and needed replacement. I called several companies for quotes and central air was the best price for better equipment. I was told it would be a 2 day install. It ended up being 3 days due to delays.The day of the install 2 guys showed up to do the work. right away their compressor broke while removing the old refrigerant and it took several hours to get a replacement. When the replacement came their collection canister sprung a leak.They needed to get on the roof and didn't bring the proper ladders so I lent them one of mine. They forgot to bring a safety harness for roof work, and that took several more hours to show up on sight.While doing the install I overheard a discussion about removing or not removing some of the old equipment. I reminded them that on my quote sheet it says it includes removal of all old equipment.While installing the heat exchanger base, it came to light they didn't bring any pea gravel for the base or a tamping tool for the gravel, so I gave them some of my pea gravel and loaned them my tamping tool. While installing the speedy channel/line hide they didn't bring a level, so I loaned them mine. Then one of them dropped it from about 15 feet up. At the end of the install I was told that someone from Central Air would be contacting me to set up an inspection with the city because a permit was pulled for the work that was done. I was told that the city does not always choose to do inspections, but that recently they had been choosing to.During the install while delays were ongoing I contacted the salesman via text. He did not respond to any of my texts, and I sent plenty. It would have been nice to have a contact person for issues during the install, but that's not part of the package deal from Central Air.I was supposed to get a rebate card from Lennox, but it wasn't showing up. Turns out Central Air put down the wrong address on the paperwork. It took an act of god to get it corrected. I had to contact Central Air multiple times before finally speaking to Adam, a manager, to get the address corrected. I wasted a lot of my time on the phone between Lennox and Central Air fixing their mistake. While talking to Adam, I expressed a few of the issues with the install that I went over in this review, but not all of them. Adam said there would be a meeting about what happened, but I never did receive a call back about the outcome of that meeting. I was not aware that one of the three people that helped on the install was no longer with the company as the owner has stated below.Last month I noticed the speedy channel/line hide was pulling away from the siding. I called to have warranty work done and repair it. Since the repair did not require entry to my home and I work graveyard, I asked that the repair person not contact me unless there was an issue. I got woke up to a person knocking on my door. I asked if there was an issue and he said no, he was told specifically to make sure he knocked on the door. Nice touch, thanks for the wake up. The person that came out said the screws used to install the line hide/speedy channel were way too short. Of course he only put longer screws in where it was pulling away, instead of doing it right and putting longer screws in the entire length of the channel so it doesn't pull away anywhere else latter on. Last week I noticed that the channel is coming apart where the guy replaced the screws. They said they would be out to fix it. How about just doing the job right the first time and not having to keep coming back. No one from Central Air has reached out to me about any of these issues.After all the issues during the install, I would expect Central Air to have contacted me to do a full inspection of the install to make sure there are no other issues. If, as the owner pointed out in his response to my review, the person doing the install didn't meet Central Air standards, why would Central Air think that the work performed by that person met their standards either. A full inspection is in order.

He offered system enhancements to make my system better but was not pushy, although I decline these enhancements at this time I was very impressed with his service he explained everything he did throughly and I will definitely use central air in the future and recommend them to friends and family.

Furnace burners cleaning and diagnostics for problems with heating
In hot weather, the air conditioner suddenly stopped, so I was embarrassed and had no solution. Central - Air inc. ran quickly and completely normalized it. The distrust and anxiety I had been very concerned about were gone. In particular, the accurate diagnosis and treatment of the wonderful Branden completed the repair in a short time. He promised to do a full overhaul in the fall, and trust made the deal easier. Bandon, you're one of those cool guys you look like.

We used Central Air to replace our Heating and Cooling System. They were prompt, fair and did great work. We did have another bid from a large local company that was much much higher. I like this company because they seem honest and responsive to our needs.
Our heating and cooling system went down during a heatwave and Matthew came out same day on a 98 degree Sunday and saved the day. I was impressed with his professionalism. He showed me what and why he was doing while diagnosing the problem. Appreciate his knowledge and honesty. I would refer central to anyone and will be using them from now on!

I choose Central Air due tonthe reviews and the fact they had saturday appointments.Had an amazing experience with central air! Our tech Brandon was on-time, very pleasant!!! Super knowledgable and new what to look for after I explained what our issues where! He found the issues, and some other potential issues and fixed it! He answered all of my questions, knew what he was talking about and explained it in terms that I would get!I absolutely love the follow up, the emails, and pics of everything that was taken care of!!! They have a great monthly plan for regular service that is super affordable!!! All in all 100% would use again!

I recently had Central Air Inc. rework some duct work and the gas line in a basement of a house I own so I could finish off the space. It is a challenge like so many places around has low ceilings and the existing duct work was haphazardly run through the space making it difficult to finish and make the space nice.I couldn't be more pleased with the out come working with Central Air from Chris the salesman who was very helpful providing his input and expertise, to Dennis and Austin the Installers who went out of their way to creatively figure out how to get from point to point with the least amount of impact on the space I wanted to finish.Chris gave me an estimate but suggested they work on an hourly basis to get the best results for both parties which I agreed to. The guys worked fast and efficiently, got to the house early, stayed way late to get the job done instead of making another trip. Their workmanship was top shelf and they left the place neat and clean.The office staff also was courteous, friendly and professional. The tech (Justin) was on time, friendly, explained things and did a really thorough job in everything.
From start to finish the folks at Central Air Heating and Cooling were easy to work with. Their administrative staff helped call around to track down parts we needed, and got us scheduled the same day for a furnace inspection and quote for replacement . Rolf gave us four different options and price points for replacing our 40+ year old heating system on a Friday. On Monday Adam showed up for the appointment right on time, and got the job started for Austin , who spent the better part of the day installing. All three employees were courteous and wore masks while in the garage and even took off their shoes when entering the home. A furnace replacement is a big cost/investment, and Central Air Heating & Cooling made it feel like money well spent.

Central Air was the HVAC contractor for the builder, and as expected we have a few bumps (understandable) as we have settled in. During major heat wave AC went out. Called Central Air for service and while they couldn't get to us for about a week, they did offer an earlier appt if any cancelations occurred. Received a call the next day. John, the tech assigned, had previously done work for us and, as during the earlier service, he arrived on time and quickly diagnosed and repaired the problem.

Been using Central Air since we moved into our house a few years ago and they are always great. Justin, the technician, is wonderful. Answered our questions, gave some extra info about our furnace and ways to utilize it best and was also super sweet to our very chatty toddler (extra points for that, always). Everyone in the office is always great to work with. LOVE Central Air's communication on the whole. They send a reminder email about your appointment, text you to let you know when your tech is coming and send a picture of the tech so you know who to expect. Only good things to say about Central Air.

I contacted four sources for a new water heater and the team at Central Air are all friendly and so helpful throughout the entire process. I required some additional accommodations and the extra care exceeded my expectations. Ryan and Kody are excellent installers. They explained clearly the process to switch out the old. The furnace quit working right in the middle of a cold snap. Krista did a great job getting someone out to help quickly. And, Justin, the tech diagnoses the problem and took care of it right away. He was friendly, and took great care to keep the house clean, even when he had to go through an access space in the ceiling to get at the furnace in the attic. Will definitely call Central Air again!

Sean, junior, and Seth were the the men whom showed up to install our central air system and they were great guys answered every question aloud me to stay the and watch like a hawk and they didn't complain once they got it done fast worked well with each other and honestly I don't know how much they make but they should get more because I watched in amazement as the parts they had weren't gonna fit. my ac and heater would have been floor to ceiling and I asked if they were going to have to change everything out if it was gonna be a 2 day job and they smiled and started fabricating what they needed out of what they had it looks amazing extremely professional job and works even better and they were cracking jokes with me we were all laughing it was the best experience I've ever had with a company who has come to do work at my house these guys know what they're doing with out a doubt

Brandon wasn't the best communicator. I was getting confused and his continued response was right he immediately diagnosed the a/c motor as needed to be replaced because of the sound it was making. I said are you 100% sure and he said yes. $870 to remove and replace. The system needed to be charged with refrigerant approximately 4lbs of refrigerant at $188 per lb. So I paid the $119 diagnostic fee. I decided to call another company and find out if what I've been told and quoted sounds correct. The guy I spoke with had serious questions about the motor and said the cost of refrigerant was out of line. He sent a technician out the next day and I saved over a $1000 because once they charged the system the motor noise went away. Also they only charge $73 per lb for refrigerant. I feel like central air and heating is only about getting theirs at the customer's expense. You asked for me to write a review so I did, otherwise I wouldn't have.
The technician Justin was professional, friendly, honest, courteous and respectful. The company was very upfront about pricing and answered all my questions and concerns. Having a now extinct brand of gas fireplace, just went out of his way to help find the parts and pricing to fix our unit, and finding out the limitations to replacing parts to fix the issue, explored the option and possible need for replacement which I appreciated.If needing future service for gas fireplace, I would definitely call Central Air Heating, Cooling and Plumbing
These guys did an amazing job installing the HVAC system in our new house. They were very knowledgeable and the install looks very professional. They even submitted the forms for all of our rebates and tax credits for us. Excellent quality, informed staff, and awesome customer service. What more can you ask for.

Stan Shrock was excellent. He came out on an emergency call in the middle of a rain and wind storm and fixed our leaking outside pipe. He was efficient and knowledgeable and we couldn’t have asked for better service. This Company is wonderful to work with and provided same day service when others would not. Extremely efficient, good communication, solid service overall. But $3550 just to replace the water heater and 2 toilets? Honestly, it's a DIY-able job I could've done within a few hours for less than $1K if I'd known then (2022) what I know now. If you don't want to do it yourself & are willing to over-pay for super fast installation services, go for it. We didn't experience any negative issues, I'm just shocked by the costs in hindsight. At least I've since learned the value of getting multiple estimates and I hope anyone reading this reflects on their priorities before agreeing to anything (do you want reasonable prices or expedient service? Central Air delivers on service satisfaction, not so much on price reasonability).

Our experience with Central Air was excellent. Their scheduling for a bid was far faster. As was their scheduling for the work, just a few days after I accepted their offer. Other places, it was weeks. They replaced both our central AC and heating systems. We can't recommend Central Air strongly enough. Last year we finished building our dream home and just as we were closing it became apparent that among a crew of otherwise wonderful subcontractors, our HVAC provider had really let us down on some finishing work. We ended up with a wonderful house that was hard to enjoy because the A/C was missing (in the middle of one of those record breaking heat waves) and our air filter and several vents didn't fully work. Since the drywall was all closed up and we were in a rush to move in with a baby on the way, we needed a new HVAC company that not only knew their stuff, but would be willing to crawl around the attic and utility spaces of a home already built by someone else, correcting lots of little issues here and there that involved lots of labor.Central Air came through with flying colors and now all our vents are well mounted with great airflow, our air filter is properly installed and easy to maintain, our A/C blows nice and chilly in the summertime, and they even spotted and fixed issues we didn't even know about like poorly sealed ductwork and missing insulation. Every step of the way, our point of contact Art Mays was patient, responsive, and always listened to exactly what we wanted (even willing to come out and make tweaks without complaint).Whether you have a straightforward HVAC installation need, or a complex repair, we strongly suggest you talk to Central Air when comparing bids. You won't regret it.

My husband, Ron, has been dealing with our AC unit going out over the past couple weeks. This had been an ongoing problem for us, which is never great. The fact that Central Air has taken our call, even on weekends, and has done everything they could to fix the issues is wonderful. Christa (not sure on the spelling) personally took calls from us even on a Sunday, and had John come out to take a look. Though we hope no one else runs into these problems, at times they cannot be avoided, and service like this is rare. I would 100% recommend this company if you're looking to have your Heating or Cooling unit installed or replaced. Their pride in making sure the customer is happy, is a rare gem. Central Air upgraded our AC unit and our tankless hot water heater both are worth the added expense. Lower energy bills and the upgrades yielded units that were better suited to our homes square footage. Did our yearly check and Chris evaluated our HVAC, wrapped compressor, caught and fixed small gas leak and cleaned units. Great job really nice people.

He discovered that my AC outside was turned off for no reason, and he insists I must pay $119 While I have a 10years warranty on the product. That is exploitation but I have learn my lessons. I am yet to receive my receipt for the $119 I paid for turning on my AC switch on.

My water heater wasn’t functioning effectively. Ryan descaled and flushed the unit and replaced galvanized pipes with brass fittings and stainless steel pipes. FYI: You can't actually schedule an appointment online despite the fact that it appears you can. That's my only complaint. Otherwise they were really kind of perfect. I spoke to them on the hottest day of the year and the earliest they could come was 3 days later. That was actually much faster than the 2 other companies I spoke to. The tech they sent was really good. The problem was minor and he just charged me the minimum for a service call. There are a lot of honest people in business but not all of them. It's nice when you find one you can trust.

Gas fireplace would not ignite. Jason cleaned it thoroughly and made recommendation to replace pilot light/thermocouple assembly.
They came out and they were able to get everything done that I asked for within a day. They gave me several options as to what they could do in order to fix the problem the best. I will definitely be using them again for any other plumbing and ventilation issues in the future!

We had a series of issues with our furnace this season, all of which seemed to result in no heat and some panicked calls to Central Air. Even though I didn’t have an appointment weeks ahead, they worked hard to find a window to come help.The tech came after hours from his last appointment and was able to quickly diagnose a malfunctioning part, which was replaced immediately. We did require a follow up call which turned out to be a loose wire, and they took care of it for no charge. Really happy with the responsiveness of their team in multiple stressful situations.

We have a sewage pump in our basement, which failed us mid-day on a Saturday. This left the basement occupant unable to use any sink or the toilet. I went to Yelp to find a plumber. There was only one response over the weekend, from a company we didn't use. Monday Central Air Heating, Cooling & Plumbing contacted us. Their plumber came out in late morning, made a run for parts, came back and installed the pump. To that point everything was fine. Everything would be better than fine by the end of this review. Please continue reading. When it came time to test the pump the plumber found out the hard way that a coupler was loose, and he told me that he forgot to torque down the bolts. That caused grey water from the sewage pump to spray about the area. Unfortunately for the plumber, he took the brunt of the spray, which saved our food pantry almost completely. My wife, son and I spent quite a bit of time finding and cleaning what needed. I asked the plumber if there was anything his company could do to make up for the honest accident, and he talked with his boss about it. I spoke with the manager today, stating that nothing of value got permanently damaged, and I asked for a specific amount of money off the price for our inconvenience. To my surprise, the manager pretty much double what I'd asked for.Some things went incredibly well here. 1, it's VERY obvious that Central Air Heating, Cooling & Plumbing stands behind their work, and that's my biggest concern when hiring a contractor. This company aced the test. 2, The plumber himself had the integrity to say that he overlooked tightening the bolts. He even put that on a report to his boss. Integrity test aced. 3, The work itself turned out great. 4, They came out on the first business day after the pump failed.
This company is a joke. Andrew came to my place more than five weeks to give me specs and a quote for air conditioning. He stated that he would email things over so I waited...and waited. After about 5 days I heard nothing so I emailed him to follow up. I got zero response. About 2 weeks after he came I called Central Air and they took a message and stated that I should call Andrew's cell phone too, so I did. He stated he would email the quote and information that afternoon. He didn't. i continued to make phone calls and send emails both to Andrew and Central Air and have gotten zero response. I gave up my time to have him come to my home only to ghost me. I suspect he lost or misplaced something he needed to give me the quote, because here I am more than 5 weeks later with zero response from him or Central Air. On my last call to Central Air I told them that I would have a lot more respect for their company if they would just be honest with me about not having the quote and info rather than ghost me. Even that garnered no response. Don't bother contacting this company unless you want to work with children.
It is so kind and consumer opinion that the salesman can solve the problem immediately by talking to the owner.
I have to replace the FURNACE soon, but my choice is of course this company.

Justin was prompt, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Really enjoyed being able to chat with him through the process and understand what he was doing and how we can maintain our fireplace better.

I shopped around for a service across a variety of gas plumbers in town. Most people gave me dates 2 months out and asked exorbitant price saying that the job is complicated. Central air gave a reasonable quote and was smart at solving the problem. They were able to schedule in a reasonable time too (about 2 weeks). I would highly recommend them. Over the years we have had Central Air Inc install a new furnace, air conditioner and gas water heater as the old ones bit the dust. The service techs were always courteous and professional. We purchased their maintenance agreement plan so they come out twice a year to tune up the equipment to keep it in Tip-Top shape. Highly recommend them to anybody who's looking for new equipment.

My heater went down in the middle of winter 5 years a go. They installed it fast and were super nice. They were so good to us that last year we installed AC through them. I should of written one before now but I forgot about it until.. my heater decided to get cranky and I called them. The work done was fine, but yikes I didn’t know a plumber makes more than a surgeon. Nothing was broken, we just needed a drain re-routed for a new sink.$2,100 for a 2hour job.From now on when our patients complain about our prices we will tell them to be glad a plumber isn’t doing their surgery. I know plumbing parts and tools are cheaper than our supplies and instruments.My sister owns a property management company in another state and sends their contractors out for these types of jobs all the time. She said her cost would have been somewhere around $600 for this.And because I have 4 children and work 2 jobs I just needed my sink put back together ASAP.

Service technician Justin performed a repair on my 30 year old furnace. He was efficient, knowledgeable, and professional and was able to get it up and running. I may be in the market for a new one and have scheduled an appointment with Central Air, Inc.’s sales staff.
Just recently called central air Inc. to have them come out and tuneup my furnace. The promptness and detail in every aspect of this company never ceases to amaze me. My technicians name was John, and he was very friendly and very informative. I said it before and I will say it again central air Inc. has a customer for life with me.I work for a glass company in Portland Oregon and the heat in our office recently stopped working so we called another HVAC company to come out and diagnose the problem. After first telling us that it would cost us $800 to fix it, he then came back and told us that our furnace was shot and that it would cost us around $8k to replace it. We decided to get a second opinion so we contacted the nice folks at Central Air inc. and now I wish I would have called them first. There customer service was top notch, they had a technician out the very next day. Dennis the technician was very professional and explained everything in a way that we could understand. Turns out that our furnace was not broken it just needed a minor repair, Dennis made the repairs and even set us up on a routine filter maintenance program. I highly recommend Central Air inc. they saved us from being taken advantage of. If you are having any heating or cooling problems, be sure to call them first.
Central Air took great care of my family. Our 20+ year old remote thermostat died and they identified and installed a modern replacement. Justin Soares is a great addition to the team! His knowledge and professionalism is top notch. There was an issue with my furnace that other technicians worked on and thought resolved. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. When Justin was sent to my home to fix the issue my confidence was low and I was sure the issue would present again. Not the case, Justin was able to troubleshoot and fix the issue! Recently he was the assigned to do the annual maintenance on my AC unit I was happy to get the opportunity to thank him in person and report my confidence was restored!
We woke up to find our furnace was not working, so I called Central Air as soon as they opened. They had Dan S. at our place 2 hours later to fix a minor issue with our furnace. Thank you Dan! Our salesman showed up on time with a mask and shoe covers, he was friendly and professional while explaining our options and addressing the extra merv 13 filter I wanted.... he was wonderful to meet and to work with... now, the installers... Austin and Dennis... were both here on time, they did their work in and under our house in a friendly and efficient manner, I asked a lot of questions and dennis answered them all... they explained the operation of my nest thermostat and left me feeling I would not blow anything up (for a while, anyway)... I would strongly suggest any one thinking about a heat pump to at least consider giving these guys a call, getting Austin and Dennis to do the work would be a bonus...

Plumbing is not cheap, so it comes down to the trustworthiness of the plumber and their diagnosis.Michael Z. was my plumber and his professionalism was excellent.I had a drainage clog and he was able to clear it quickly and efficiently.It is always a good idea to get quotes from different companies, but if the quote prices are relatively the same, then go with Central Air Heating, Cooling, & Plumbing. Hopefully your plumber will be Michael.

I cannot say enough good things about Central Air. I recently bought a home that needed a lot of love, and every department I've worked with has been outstanding. From the office, to the construction manager, to the foremen, to the assistants, everyone has been so kind, knowledgable, and have really gone out of their way to make a tough situation easier for us.

Right from the get go of reaching out to them, estimate and completion of the project was extremely professional and Tim and Taylor, I'd call them the dynamic duo. They were so friendly and professional and did a clean, complete thorough job with the installation. Tim and Taylor went an extra mile to prop up the Compressor unit on the side of the hill properly. We had a water heater in the attic that kept going out and a leaky flapper on the toilet. Ryan quickly fixed the water heater and explained why it was going out and gave us options if we had future problems. He then did the same with the toilet. He explained everything and our options before he fixed each thing. Ryan was one of the most professional, efficient, thoughtful and experienced people we have ever dealt with. Central Air is a company that you can hire and know you will not have to worry about anything. They will take care of you.
Cody came over on time and I showed him the issue with our outdoor spigot. He quickly found the issue and asked about other plumbing issues in the house. I showed him the shower in the master bath and he said he would be able to fix it today as well. He was very friendly and professional. We definitely recommend him.

Ryan was great! We had two sinks with flex piping that needed professional servicing and replacement. Ryan explained all the options we had and did a diligent job to get us set up.

After finding a leaking pipe under the house, I called and received the quickest response out of 3 plumbing companies. Cody Vance and Zack not only fixed the leak, but repaired other faulty areas. I have had them out several times due to the aging fragile pipes and I am very impressed with their expertise and professionalism. The ladies scheduling the crews are also to be commended. You won't receive better service. I will highly recommend them to anyone.

I was so impressed with my contractor, Justin! I had a mini split that was leaking water, he showed up and took a look at it and found a problem that was not going to be traditionally fixed. We had them come out to fix a leak in our unit. They charged us $800 and our unit is still not fixed. We called them to have them fix it and they are still charging us for the work they did when they didn't actually fix the problem at all. The lady who answers the phones at the office was not friendly at all and refused to even listen to my husband when he told her that we shouldn't be charged as much for the first time since they did not accurately diagnose the issue, or find the leak. I understand that we should still be charged something because they used up supplies and time for the technician to come out but we shouldn't be paying so much money when nothing was fixed. We are paying this bill and will never use them again. The customer service was poor and they clearly do not care about their reputation when they charge customer's for incomplete work.

Called this morning with a leaky water heater. The lady I talked to was very nice and took all my information. An appointment was made for today. Ryan was the service man. Very happy with the taking out of water heater and replacing it with a new one. I was given choices of heaters. Ryan explained each one and no pressure. Frank, Cash, and Hector were outstanding. They worked during Portland's heat wave to install four ductless units in our very hot and old house. Even though it should have taken three days, they were able to finish in two, even coming in on a weekend day to finish the job. We're so happy with their work and the final product. I was helped by Ryan, and another gentleman, sadly I don’t remember his name. They were both SO great. Personal but straight to the job, I had a couple issues in different areas of my townhouse. It felt like it took a few seconds for them to diagnose the issues. They answered all my questions, even my weird hypothetical ones. They sat me with several options to fix, all they could do immediately. No Respect for your Time. I had 2 meetings set with this company for them to come give a price and proposal on a 30 year old ac/furnace replacement.The first meeting was a no show, when I called, the service tech was sick...fine, that happens. I rescheduled to be the first appointment of the day on a Friday morning. Window was 9-10. At 9.45 I called them asking if he was close. The technician hadn't left the yard yet. They're in Canby, I'm in Hillsboro. They didn't bother to call and, admittedly, don't call any customers until the tech is on the way.If this is how they prioritize new business and a full replacement job, I definitely don't want to ever be an existing customer and see how I'm treated.

Justin was great and made what seems like a painfully boring experience pleasant and fun. Central Air was responsive and friendly with their customer service and was prompt with sending Justin out even with the current heat wave and high demand for HVAC services. Justin was super fair and transparent and helped me decide on the best course of events to minimize cost and efficiently assess the problem. Would definitely recommend for any HVAC needs. Justin was able to problem solve and figure out ways to deal with unforseen issues. Would give 6 starts if I could.
Justin was great and took care of what turned out to be debris in our Heat & Glo Cosmo gas insert fireplace's right side blower that was causing the rattling noise which prompted the service call. He also demonstrated a higher knowledge of gas fireplaces than previous technicians, observing that the blower wiring was not installed correctly, given a remote control was being used with the fireplace, and corrected it per the installation manual (which specifically had a note regarding how it should be done when a remote control is present). Noteworthy, given Central Air installed the fireplace in May 2011 and has serviced the fireplace on four prior occasions, including replacing the blowers in December 2015. He is also the first technician to check for CO leaks after working on the fireplace. For future service calls, I will be asking for him to do the work. Prior service calls on the fireplace have been under $200 whereas this one was $249, a bit more pricey than anticipated.

The faucet that was provided by the homeowner from the warehouse was installed but defective.The Plumber determined what was wrong, called the warehouse and set up a will-call pick-up for me to exchange the defective sensor for one that worked. He installed it, and the faucet worked great! He waited on-site for me to retrieve the replacement part, and while it took him longer to finish the job because of this unexpected glich there were no additional charges. The original quote was the final price.

We did a conversion from oil to gas and has an AC installed. I had a very mixed experience using Central air. They guys who did the installation were really friendly and efficient, my brother in law does commercial AC and said they did a clean job. The office however seemed to be very disorganized, our job was scheduled right after the two 115 degree days so that could be part of it. They forgot to charge us for the deposit and I literally had to call them after the guys left and tell them that I still hadn’t paid. When they “finished” the job emergency shutoff switch was just left sitting out, our brother and law said that was a pretty big deal and an OSHA violation but when I called the office the receptionist was super nonchalant about it saying they’d come out in the late afternoon, when I told her it was an OSHA violation and should be handled sooner and she would talk to the guys and call me right back. I don’t hear from her and when I called back after 30-40 min she didn’t even remember that she was supposed to call them to have them come sooner. After they came and we finally had AC I scheduled our city inspection with them and they never showed up, when I call time find out what happened, she had never even scheduled the appointment. She schedules it and it doesn’t pas inspection because they didn’t put antitheft caps on like they were supposed to. All in all it was a lot more of a hassle then it needed to be, I’m unsure if we would use them again in the future

Central Air service technician Randy Preston showed up on time, diagnosed the problem in minutes. The problem was resolved and Randy scheduled for a follow up to make sure my A/C is working properly.
Our water heater began leaking, and after calling around, I found Central Air who carries heat pump/hybrid water heaters. They consider the 'out of hot water' situation an emergency situation, which it is to some extent. Cody arrived within an hour. He checked out the situation, did some thorough research on his tablet, and offered 3 options to us. After choosing one, he obtained a new replacement unit and installed it within an hour and a half! Out of 5 stars, I give Cody 10. Way to go Cody!!!
Thankfully the company text messages you when they're on their way. This is helpful if you need to move things or of the way so that the technician can access your equipment. The technician, Randy, showed up and was very professional in his service. He let me know how to check on a small issue over the next year and did a very thorough check and cleaning of our home HVAC system. Add is customary these days, he wore a mask correctly the entire time and observed distancing guidelines.I'm not thrilled about the pricing of these services but the system manufacturer requires them yearly to honor the warranty. It's good peace of mind though, knowing that your system has been thoroughly checked by a professional every year so that no emergency issues pop up when things get really cold or really hot and to start solving problems before they start.I'm happy with the service and will continue to use Central Air.

Cody at Central Air did an amazing job replacing my water heater today. We discovered early this morning our 20 year old tank was leaking, and after being turned down by two other plumbers I got lucky and spoke with Central Air, who considers hot water loss an emergency. Cody came out and thoroughly explained several options, and after choosing one began work. I love this company because I can tell they don't cut corners or use cheap parts. The result was the new install is far superior than the original. You cannot go wrong by choosing Central Air to replace your water heater, or complete any plumbing job.

Came out for quote on bath to shower remodel and garbage disposal install. Turns out they dont do the remodels at all and garbage disposal quote was $ 100 more than other quote.

We got such good service today from John. He knew his stuff. He listened and saw a couple of things we could do to make our system better (but wasn't pushy). And he even took the time to do an unnecessary but appreciated adjustment. He turned a routine visit into a big win for us. Friendly too!

We had a very rough start to our customer service with a legitimate emergency through the weekend but first thing Monday morning our furnace was fixed and our house was warm. I’m giving three stars because I think their customer service needs work on how they speak to customers, both the tech and one representative over the phone were rude to my mother. Other than that despite all the difficulties things went smoothly and the service was fast. They even found a pest problem that we didn’t know about and alerted us promptly so I could inform my landlord and get it taken care of.

These people did a great job with a totally new Daikin Fit AC install with a new high efficiency gas furnace. The people were fast and totally friendly. The Daikin Fit is totally amazing, beats every other system we looked at by far. That includes Trane and Lennox. The install went great and the sales person was in contact the Entire time.I highly recommend this company and I rarely take the time to work any reviews.

Randy was great! He was very knowledgeable and walked me through all my issues and provided me a good action plan. He was also very courteous.
We had a gas leak in our fireplace and NW Natural turned off all our gas on a Friday morning! We called a number of places they suggested we call for help fixing our problem but they all had days long wait times...one even said a month. When I called Central Air and explained our dilemma and that we might not have any gas/heat for days they immediately called their dispatch. One of their workers came within a few hours and fixed our leak! They even texted a picture of their employee with his name and a little bio before he got to our house! He was polite, professional and wore protection on his feet and a mask. We will be calling Central Air from now on to service our gas and a/c needs for sure! Highly recommend this company!!!

Central Air recently installed a new Daikin Fit A/C unit at my home and did a great job. Pricing was competitive, workmanship was great, installers were helpful and friendly (Seth and Sean, specifically) and clean up was perfect.All in all we are pleased with the installation and would definitely work with Central Air again.

My experiences with central air over the years have been great. They maintained my furnace for years at my old house, and then when I moved to a new house they transferred the maintenance program over to my new furnace. Tommy, the employee who came out most recently was incredibly knowledgeable, thorough and followed up promptly. He even fixed some problematic duct work which was not on the list of required maintenance tasks. Great service overall.
Quoted us $3,000 for replacing a standard 50 gallon water heater. Felt like price gouging given that the parts are less than $800.

I worked directly with Andrew, the Owner, for purchase, quoting, and mockups. I worked with Tim and his team for installation. Tim and his team were professional and efficient. We had a couple hiccups just because of the design of the house, but they were responsive, explained the situation, and presented a couple different options to choose from on how best to proceed, particularly when it came to the HVAC installation outside. They were thorough in their installation and clean-up, and worked swiftly and without unnecessary delay. Ultimately, the furnace and HVAC installation took two days but that is more of a reflection of the amount of work to be done rather than any issues with the installation itself. The unit works like a charm and I am very satisfied both with Andrew and his company and Tim and his service team.

Space where the furnace was is too tight. Needs to bring in someone smaller to do furnace maintenance.Justin came and did the job. He was able to fit into a very tight space in the attic and completed the maintenance on my furnace. He was clear on what he found and explained what our options were. I've used Central Air for 15 years now. The same people still handle my calls and know me by name. The service folks are thorough, professional and courteous. I pay the annual maintenance fee, which means I get a tune-up in Fall and Spring, as well as no overtime for weekend emergencies (Yes, I've had to use that). Couldn't recommend more.

Very professional and nice workers. They took good care of my residence while replacing an outside heat pump and interior electric furnace. Living at the top of a hill in a 2 story condo is rather complicated, when it comes to products and what will fit in the allotted space. When calling the business to inquire they were on-site the next day to evaluate my needs and placed the equipment 10 days later. Thank you.👍😉

We used Central Air for our AC installation and our tankless gas water heater. Each team that came out for AC, electrical and gas was professional and prompt. The AC crew clearly explained at the end all the functions and how to use it. The office was able to schedule our appointments quickly and we appreciated that.I appreciated that Tim, the person who did our gas line install laid down protective covers on our floor so as to not scratch our floors/get them dirty when going back and forth between inside and outside. The other three crews did not do this and only a handful of the technicians wore the shoe coverings. I'd prefer for a company to have consistency on things such as that.Our final city inspection had to be rescheduled and because there was not notification given to us, we were not home. Danielle quickly got us rescheduled but I was the one to contact them about it.Overall, though we were happy with the service and will continue to keep using them for our AC needs. Our devices are up and running and seem to be working efficiently.
The two professionals who replaced our water heater are Cody and Cody. They did an amazing job on removing the old water heater and installing our new one. They even noticed a leak on our furnace we thought was caused by something else and they diagnosed and fixed it before leaving after the original project was complete. Top quality service and we will continue to use this company for our HVAC and water heater needs.

As usual, Central Air came thro for us and did a great job. My furnace was acting up so called them out. The staff over the phone were super helpful and got me scheduled in a reasonable time. Got the furnace issue resolved in a timely manner.One thing I like about Central Air is that they send you a text message when they're on they're way. And the text contains the name and picture of the technician.

Most single-trick plumbing companies were 2-3 weeks out for an appointment. Central was able to schedule me only 2 days out, then notified me that the could come a day early if I was available. It was awesome. I requested an early appointment and they were on their way to my house before 9am. Stan showed up, was polite and down-to-business. He got my repair done quickly and we were back in business.

I used Central Air when I went thru Clean Energy Works of Oregon to do energy improvements to my house. Chris Barry was very professional when he came to do the testing to see just what needed to be done. He explained what he was doing with each test and there was no high pressure to do every recommendation. My husband and I had time to discuss the results and decided what to move forward with. When the workers showed up, they were polite and made sure they cleaned up after themselves before they left. I would highly recommend Clean Energy Works and Central Air.
I have used central air over the years to install a new furnace and a AC unit as well as perform needed yearly Maintenece. They do great work and every time they have been over they always arrive within the time they say they will.

Thanks to Justin for his timely response which helped my clients cool down in this heat wave. He was ahead of schedule, diagnosed the problem others couldn't, and gave three small children a much needed respite from the unbearable heat. I will always use Justin and central air going forward!
We were super happy with Central Air Heating, Cooling & Plumbing. Our (very old) air conditioner broke down, and our furnace was failing, too, so we needed a brand new HVAC system. Central Air gave us multiple options and talked us through what made the most sense for us. The best part was that we felt we could trust them, and they were NOT pushy like other companies we talked to. After installation, the new A/C worked great but when it came time to use the heat, there was something slightly misconfigured (somewhat unsurprisingly because we had chosen an unusual setup), but Dennis was quickly at our home to make sure we were taken care of (and warm). We recommend them!
Rolf who came to assessed my old system was on time and courteous, and he explained exactly what his recommendations were and why, and was very transparent about pricing and my needs. Chris and Austin who installed my new AC/ furnace were on time, professional, efficient, and courteous. My old furnace was small, so they had to custom fabricate the intake and outtake leads, and how my new system was situated in my garage. They checked all my ducting in the crawl space as well as the attic to make sure that everything was good for the new system. I would highly recommend Central Air!
