Best Heater Maintenance in Portland OR

After our water heater unexpectedly failed, we started looking around for someone to come install a new one ASAP. Joe was super responsive via text, gave us several options to choose from, explained the pros and cons of each (including extra info like whether it was made in America, how good the customer service was, ease of finding replacement parts, etc.) and was happy to answer all questions about it. He set our minds at ease about spending a large chunk of money on a new appliance and got us exactly what we needed installed much more quickly than the other companies we contacted would have. If I ever need another water heater installed, I will definitely use his services again!

They came and fixed my issue next day and did a good job explaining everything and laying out easy options. Much different in a good way than other plumbers I have used in the past. Evan was great!

I had tree roots blocking my pipes and backing up my toilet into the sink on a Sunday. Roto Rooter came out and cleared the pipe, but they suggested that the pipe was not level so it would have to be replaced rather than cleared out and lined with a resin. When I told Sewer Renewal Specialists (I wish I could remember the person's name; he was great), he encouraged me to let him come out no charge and confirm this, because he suspected it was not true. Sure enough, he found nothing wrong with the pipe, spent more time clearing it out and then shot the resin in so it wouldn't happen again. All for half of what I would have had to pay for the Roto Rooter digging up my line and putting in new pipes. I've had no problem since. Sewer Renewal even came out and extended the release pipe(?) for free when I had a retaining was put in. I can't praise them enough.

Joe was an awesome tech. They came out through my home warranty. Service request was Monday they came out Wednesday. Had al the parts they needed on the truck came and fixed same day in and out in under 2 hours! No more leak under the sink!! New garbage disposal and I didn’t have to figure out how to do it!

Terry's quality of work sets the bar. He's my go-to guy for emergencies and new work that needs to be done. I want it done right, and I don't worry about that with him.

As most people reading reviews know it is rare to find a contractor who is good to their word through every phase of a project. Mario and Smitty's Sewer Service I am glad to report are the exception to that rule. Mario and his team did a job for my seller client and were not only punctual but did exactly what they said they would do, in the time they said they would, and completed the job UNDER the cost they had bid to do the job. They were the first to call about our need for service. They were professional courteous covid concerned. They were the most reasonable quote allowing for senior discount and cash discount. Saved us almost 300$ from the next service estimate. Installed a gas hot water heater. Then cleaned up the area and answered many question. Would certainly use them for any new problem. Excellent.

Precision Plumbing fixed our leaking main quickly, effectively, and at a very reasonable cost, the same day that we called him. Another plumbing company gave us an estimate that was as much as a small used car!

We had a complicated sewer pipe situation created by the original builders of the house in 1993 and Roto-Rooter helped us all the way through the process. One team figured out the original plumbers re-routed the main sewer line out of the house to avoid a rain drain, but ended up sloping the sewer line down toward the house! When the second team (Christian and Kyle Fitzgerald-Sansom) were excavating they discovered the plumbers also sloped the rain drain toward the house! Christian and Kyle did a terrific job fixing everything, re-filling the holes, and cleaning up the entire area. They also encouraged me to watch them scope the line all the way to the city sewer. I can't thank Christian, Kyle, Jeremy, and Megan enough for their professionalism, skill, and job very well done!

The technician, Colby Leonard arrived on time. He was respectful and knowledgeable, and I am pleased with the service.

Clark County Plumbing is excellent to work with! From the first call with their helpful office staff, I could tell CCP wasn't like the other plumbers I'd been working with. Patrick was able to diagnose the problem with my hot water heater immediately and was courteous and professional through out the repair process. I highly recommend!

Called for what I thought was a roof vent/toilet drain problem. Kaleo talked me through my situation and he helped me realize what the problem really is. He spent 15 minutes describing how I might fix it myself and gave me his cell phone number in case I need more help. He charged me nothing and may or may not get any revenue from me. In this day and age it is amazing to find someone to share his expertise like this. You know who I’ll call if I can’t handle it myself!

We had to get our whole house repiped. I got several bids but most plumbers aren't big enough to do a whole house repipe or had too many extra steps to follow. The biggest plumber in the area who is used to getting all the bids wasn't forthcoming with all the information we needed to make a decision, and I felt bullied and pushed into doing more work than was actually needed (replacing piping that didn't need to be replaced that would have added $3,500 to the price of the job). Power Plumbing came referred by a friend, and I could tell they were different by how thorough the person was who came out to do the estimate. He went into the crawl space and inspected the whole house, noting precisely what did and didn't need to be replaced, so that he could do an accurate bid. While the bid wasn't lower in price, we felt like if anything went wrong while in the middle of the huge job, they would deal with it honestly, so we chose them.

The job took an entire week. Every day we left the house for work, during the day, the plumbers came in and worked while we were gone and were gone by the time we got home. Our water service was not interrupted during the time we were in the house. They also cleaned up after themselves like they weren't there at all, which was especially important because the entry to the crawl space is in my child's room and her room looked the same as how she left it.

A few years back we had had rodents in our crawl space; the guys found a bunch of dead ones in traps and one day took a bag and cleared them all out and basically cleaned our crawl space for us while they were working, as well.

Other plumbers stated that this type of job punches a bunch of holes in our drywall to get to the pipes but the plumbers only opened up one section of drywall behind the washer and did the rest through the crawl space, which I can imagine was more difficult than just going through the walls in the house. The damage to the walls was small enough and not in a visible location, so my husband can replace it without us needing to bring in someone to repair and paint a bunch of holes in the drywall. Other plumbers giving estimates had talked about us needing to bring tile people out to cut through tile so they could access the pipes, creating hundreds if not thousands of dollars more in damage just to get the basic work done.

Overall it was surprising how easy this major work was on our family and I was very happy with the choice to use Power Plumbing.
