Todd was our Tech that came out for the estimate and repairs. He was kind, courteous and respectful. He managed to get the job done in the time he had originally estimated, cleaned up any mess that he made too. He mentioned he’s a new Tech for Ericksons, as I had asked if he ever came out to my Edina Property, which is owned by CommonBond Communities, and he stated he is fairly new so wasn’t sure if he had worked there. This job was for my dads private home, I called Zach from Ericksons because I’ve always trusted them and they’re always fair pricing.

Best plumber in town, no question.

He said he would show up at 9 am.
I took the time off of work to be home.
He never showed.
He called almost 2 hours later to say sorry but his back hurt.
Now I understand that people have injuries but to wait that long to call was absurd.
I guess that's the risk you take when trying to give the little guy your business.
Now I have to pay emergency rates and take more time off work :-(

Charged us $100.00 for a service call to attend to a leaky refrigerator. Did not have the needed parts and said they would order and return. 10 weeks and many unreturned phone calls later we gave up and called Thomas Service Company. Thomas Service Company had parts available and fixed frig in under 15 minutes.
Plus Maintenance is unreliable and unprofessional and we would never use them again nor recommend.

2017 I did Phase I of a big renovation and spent 19K with Steinkraus and when I got the bill I asked for back up documentation to support the invoice and was given the run around and an answer well we aren't the cheapest plumbers and we need to cover overhead. When we started Phase II we really like the plumber and thought let's give them a second try and asked for another person to be our contact. They sent the owner Merle and he did a bid which we signed but stated we were concerned that some of Phase III might be included but were told don't worry we will be fair and take care of you. When I got the 17K bill I had kept track of all the hours. I am about 5K in the dark how they came up with the total and they refuse to itemize the invoice. My advise is if you work with them it is time and materials and you ask for documentation. The time spent on site for Ryan was a total of 67 x $135.00 = $9045.00 plus $1000.00 Material plus fixtures $2440.00 =$12, 485.00. Even if you added on a 20% management fee it still would be below the $17,210.00 invoice I received. So basically they charged me $205.00 an hour? I just wish they felt the need to walk me through all the charges but they have no interest. The good news we think our plumber was great just not the front office. The bad news is we have Phase III and can't use them. 5 Stars for plumbing!
