An absolute top tier, knowledgeable, professional full service plumbing company. I have an old (100+ years) south Minneapolis house, that occasionally shows its age in many ways. In this chapter of “My Old House”it’s all about the main line out of the house, connecting to the city sewer system. Yes, the guys from General had to tell me the bad news that it needed major repair, but the professional way they handled and solved the problem was, truly, second to none.

Every plumbing need I have, moving forward, will be with General Rooter. Every. Single. One. As I said, my house is old - I’ve dealt with other plumbers over the years. None compare to General. Robert and Jose, you guys really are the best!

I received wonderful service from Roto-Rooter on the phone as well as from Fred (Technician #4155) to take care of a main sewer line backup.As someone who dreads making phone calls, I was pleasantly surprised to call around lunch-time on a weekday and nearly immediately get on the line with a person! Even better, I never had to be transferred or put on hold, the first person who picked up the phone took care of all my information and scheduled my same day appointment!After getting a heads-up phone call, the technician arrived about a half-hour later and immediately got to work on my drain and sewer line. I had the line snaked twice out to the street, and the drain cleared which remained clogged after snaking. The whole job was even completed before the end of the 4-hour arrival window!While he was here, Fred was great. He was very professional and courteous as anyone would expect, but I especially appreciated his advice and knowledge on the situation. My house is fairly old and needs work throughout, so asking even a couple of questions about the drain, sewer, and plumbing to a professional was very helpful.Although I hope I don't have any future needs for Roto-Rooter, I won't hesitate to use their service again, and I would recommend it to anyone.

I called on 4th of July 6:59pm, had a pipe tech in and out of our house before an hour had passed. Andrew our tech was very knowledgeable and personable. Very happy with the service and information we received. Would recommend 100%. The website had a 75$ coupon which made the surprise visit a much more manageable expense.

You will be able to find a company that is less expensive and is honest about their pricing. They won't tell you the minimum charge for a job is $275 until after you have paid $75 to come out to your house for the site visit. I called up and asked for a quote and the office manager, Amber, said she couldn't give me a quote. When the technician arrived at my house, I spoke with him on the phone and told him everything that needed to be done (Add a shutoff valve to a gas line, $60 worth of parts, tops). My wife was quoted $495 for the job. Shame on me for not asking the plumber what the price would be. Shame on me for not having my wife call me with the quote. Shame on Matt's Plumbing for taking advantage of a naïve person for a 40 minute job. When I called to ask about why the price was so high, I was told your wife signed off. I told Amber I was the customer. I asked if they are in the business of taking advantage of people and she said, Gotcha.

Wow. Ken's was top notch end to end. I had a homeowner project mishap on a Sunday, never good. I called all around to find someone to help me ASAP. Ken's was the best - communicating promptly with me back and forth to assess the problem. Even better, they dispatched a guy to come out with a couple of hours - on a weekend. None of the big guys would commit to anything before tomorrow night. Best in class and local. Highly recommend.

I called Rod (the Sewer Dude) on a Friday afternoon to clean out my floor drain. I was thinking I would have to book the job out a week as this was not an emergency. He was at my house 3 hours later! The job was completed in an hour. He even took the time to talk to me about drain maintenance and strategies to prevent clogs in the future. I will definitely being calling Rod in the future when I have any drain issues.

Very impressed by the attention to detail and professionalism from start to finish. I was in a time-sensitive bind and this company worked efficiently and thoroughly to help me out. Kevin returned my phone call promptly (*after-hours and in the evening) and explained my different options/repairs that would benefit my sewer. Communication was excellent from initial phone call to rounding back when the repairs were complete and explaining was what done. I also value that a reliable upfront estimate was given and I appreciate the team showing up on time and leaving my yard in immaculate condition. I can tell this company operates on integrity; they have my trust and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for their help.

Agreed with the first review. Very poor company. They came out to unclog a drain. The technician stated it wouldn't pay to unclog because the pipe needed repair. He went out to his truck and came back and said his boss said we should unclog anyway. Not knowing plumbing I'm like ok I guess. They charged me a ton and then left. I had to call a good and reputable company and then they came out and said they had to unclog drain again. Do NOT use this company.
