I don't believe you could find better customer service than Standard. They could be a model for every business. From calling to speak to customer service, to sales, to the entire team that comes to your home it is outstanding customer service and professionalism. They wore masks the entire time, wear shoe covers and put down floor covers for the entire install. The pricing is one of those where you get what you pay for but very fair pricing. Quality of work is top notch. They came out for a repair during the bitter cold and credited me that repair cost to replace my 21 year old furnace. They assessed my btu needs and actually found I could reduce from a 60,000 to 44,000 unit based on my condo. A new furnace is a huge cost but I felt I was in the best hands the entire process. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Jeff was fantastic!! On time (even when we weren't), friendly and professional, took the time to clearly explain what needed to be fixed and why and answered our many questions, did the work quickly in the same visit as the consultation (fixed two hose bibs and installed a new water heater) and cleaned up after himself. He even cleaned up a mess of wood shavings another contractor made at our house. We’re doing a home remodel and this has been by far the best contractor experience we’ve had so far. We highly recommend Jeff!

Second time customer, they replaced my heater and a/c last summer and things went really well, so I came back for my hot water heater. Their service team is amazing and the install was quick and painless. They are clear about pricing and take the time you need to learn and understand what you are paying for and why, so you can make an informed decision. Permitting and inspection was also a breeze and they are there to support you in this process.

The service guy, Jason, was very polite while doing a maintenance check on my water heater. He took one look at my heater and warned me about a recalled part, clearly knew what he was doing. Was not intrusive at all as I work from home.

Roman did an excellent job repairing the pipe that was spraying water in our furnace room. He also found and repaired a seized main shut off valve. I would recommend Roman as he does excellent work, explains the problem and options of repair.

2017 I did Phase I of a big renovation and spent 19K with Steinkraus and when I got the bill I asked for back up documentation to support the invoice and was given the run around and an answer well we aren't the cheapest plumbers and we need to cover overhead. When we started Phase II we really like the plumber and thought let's give them a second try and asked for another person to be our contact. They sent the owner Merle and he did a bid which we signed but stated we were concerned that some of Phase III might be included but were told don't worry we will be fair and take care of you. When I got the 17K bill I had kept track of all the hours. I am about 5K in the dark how they came up with the total and they refuse to itemize the invoice. My advise is if you work with them it is time and materials and you ask for documentation. The time spent on site for Ryan was a total of 67 x $135.00 = $9045.00 plus $1000.00 Material plus fixtures $2440.00 =$12, 485.00. Even if you added on a 20% management fee it still would be below the $17,210.00 invoice I received. So basically they charged me $205.00 an hour? I just wish they felt the need to walk me through all the charges but they have no interest. The good news we think our plumber was great just not the front office. The bad news is we have Phase III and can't use them. 5 Stars for plumbing!

Too bad I have to even pick 1 star. My service was for a stoppage, I chose what was closest to my issue, but I noted that the problem was water bubbling in kitchen and toilets when water was draining in other areas of the house. From the moment the technician arrived he was abrasive and rude. He flushed a toilet, walked around the outside perimeter of my home and said he couldn't help me. He advised me that I would have to call another company to address my problem and he thought it might be clogged vents. He refused to try and see if there was a clog elsewhere or do any other work. Considering he was wearing nice jeans, a nice tshirt and was worried more about the grass that got on his shoe than listening to my concerns I'm not surprised he didn't want to inspect the cleanouts (we have 3) under the house. After speaking to his mgr he told me he was going outside to make a call to my warranty company. He got into his van and drove away. Awesome service! I will make sure to tell my friends.
