Mr. Rooter Plumbing of The Twin Cities

I will never recommend Mr.Rooter to anyone. I would give them a negative star if possible. The employees are very kind and informative, polite and professional, that's all I can say positive. This company charged me 1,400 dollars to clean my line, but we're unable to succeed and offered no discount. Than, wanted to charge me 18,000 to fix the line. When I told them I found another company that can do it for 6,000, they insisted that the other company was a scam and couldn't be trusted. Turned out the city actually paid for some of it and it only cost me 4 grand. Mr.Rooter is well known, but they over charge way to much.

My wife and I called Mr. Rooter Plumbing in a panic on a Sunday afternoon after the drain in our laundry room and the drain in our lower level bathroom shower were backing up. We of course tried to fix it ourselves, but that was an unsuccessful waste of time. We knew we need a professional. I know it is probably not typical, but they literally had someone at our house within 30 minutes of our call! Our service professional Rob was kind and couteous. He was very professional and didn’t mind answering my numerous questions. He always covered his shoes and laid down tarps as to not get anything on our carpet. He quickly diagnosed that we had a clog in our main line and cleared it without issue. I would high recommend Mr. Rooter Plumbing and their service professional Rob L. Thank you for the great service.

Very punctual, knowledgeable and courteous technician Roman Dahms. Did a wholesale analysis of the entire plumbing system after performing the repair which he completed quickly. He proceeded to clean after his work more thoroughly than other companies that we’ve used in the past.

Service is good, but pricing structure is bit expensive even for a tiny bit of work. They typically replace stuff when they try to fix things.

Brandon M. and his trainee, Roman, did outstanding work unclogging our drain. They were professional and polite. Mr. Rooter is our first-choice plumber!

The person who came to assess the situation was very friendly. Although the cost was somewhat high, but he provided an excellent explanation for the reason and in any case it is the head office that decided the cost. He did an excellent job and our problem was solved within a very short time. I will recommend Rooter Plumbing to anyone in need. They respond very quickly.

Ken Bartlett did a great job installing a no salt water softener and a reverse osmosis system in my home. These water products were ordered through Pelican Water Systems. Many plumbing companies were not willing to take on the challenge of installing both of these factory direct systems--either they didn't install other company's products or they didn't have the tools to install both of these. Over the course of a month, I looked into several different plumbing companies before deciding to go with Mr. Rooter. Your flat rate, competitive pricing, and friendly staff stood out from other plumbing companies. Ken's can-do attitude combined with plumbing expertise were noteworthy.

Stephen did an outstanding job. He was professional and patient as he did his troubleshooting and resolved our drain issue.

I cannot rave enough about Mr. Rooter Plumbing. I unfortunately have had my fair share of plumbers and drain companies out to my home over the last several years but this is the first time I've tried Mr. Rooter Plumbing. I had a broken pipe that I discovered around 11 pm on a Friday evening that had caused a significant flood in my basement. I called several 24 hour plumbers to no avail. I finally reached out to Mr. Rooter and Josiah was at my home within 40 minutes. Josiah was phenomenal. He was friendly and professional and assessed the situation quickly. Unfortunately due to a faulty shut off valve, he could not turn the water off with the house access. He suggested we search for the city's water shut off access (which I only had a vague idea was in the front yard somewhere) to try to shut it off that way. We then spent the next 30 minutes (at midnight) shoveling the front yard looking for the access plate. The entire time Josiah was in a great mood with suggestions and friendly conversation. We finally decided to search for the City's after hours emergency line. After a call to the city, they sent out a technician. We had discussed that Josiah could leave for the evening and Mr Rooter would send someone back out the next afternoon to finish the repair as we did not know how long the city would take to get the water off on their end. Josiah was still present, finishing up paperwork, when the city technician arrived. Josiah then stayed and spent the next hour or more working with him to try to find the access plate - and then another 30-45 minutes trying to get the water shut off in the yard. This was FAR outside of his scope of responsibility for this job. Once the water was off, Josiah was able to do the repair and the city was then able to get the water turned back on. Josiah stayed for almost 4 hours working on this repair, in the middle of the night, and I was only charged a small dispatch fee not much more than what I've paid to other plumbers for jobs during standard hours (in addition to the cost of the repair itself). I hope I won't need another plumber anytime soon; however, if I do, Mr. Rooter will be my first call.

Patrick was incredible.his work was quick but thorough and he didn't pressure me for unnecessary upgrades. I will be calling back if I ever have plumbing needs in the future.

I had issues with a clogged kitchen sink. Called to setup an appointment for next day but they had a guy that was able to come out the same day. Only a couples hours later a gentleman named Roman came out to give me a quote. He is a nice man with very positive attitude. He assured me that he have my problems fixed today. Not long after kitchen sink is clogged free. I became a member and will be using their services from now on. Thanks to Roman and his expertise and the whole team from Mr. Rooter. Happy and satisfied customer.

We had excellent and Swift work from Dennis!! He was kind courteous knowledgeable and cleaned up after himself! He wore his shoe covers and that was impressive! we will call mr. Rooter in the future if we need to.

I hired through Thumbtack to fix my kitchen sink. The water flow kept cutting out after I turned it on. I was pleased with how fast they responded and was able to get the work done at a great price. Josiah, my repair guy, was always on time, was patient, opened to my suggestions, explained everything thoroughly, and gave me different options after examining everything. After installing my new faucet, they even cleaned up afterward and took away all the packing materials! Great job! I will definitely call them again for other repair services!

Had an issue with water pressure when turning on a second water fixture in the residence on 05/23/19. The Service Professional (J. Miller) arrived promptly at 12:10 pm.After checking water pressure with and with out turning on a second water fixture he was not quite sure what the problem may be.He however contacted the master plumber back at the shop to discuss with that individual.He then contacted the city water department and discussed issue with them. He was advised that there is possibly a leak or an obstruction in the main waterline that runs between the street and the meter inside the residence. I was provided a phone number to call and request an appointment for the city to come out and check the water line from the street end.Service professional was very professional and explained things in great detail before leaving from the residence. Would recommend this company for any plumbing service.Terry G.

Patrick was amazing. He not only answered all of my children’s curious questions about plumbing and his gear but his work ethic clearly showed. He prepared me for the worst but was able to repair a horrible drain clog. I am beyond grateful for the quick response and repair. Having a clogged sink in household of 9 was an absolute nightmare.

From scheduling the initial appointment to service completion, Mr. Rooter Plumbing was prompt, courteous and professional. The turnaround time for an appointment was within 48 hours. The tech who arrived (Derek) was knowledgeable, he went above and beyond in helping install my new dishwasher and install the water lines for my new refrigerator. Derek explained everything to me about my new appliances and how to prep them with the first use. He was professional throughout the appointment and had everything he needed to complete the job same day as providing the estimate. He was fair in pricing and showed me all the options available to me based on the work I wanted done.

Called around 9am had a tech out and issue resolved by 3:30pm. Had old valves that finally died, and needed replacing asapJon the tech was professional, quick and personable. I felt very comfortable with him resolving my issue. Seriously whomever is Jon's manager should give him a raise.

Kris and Jake went above and beyond the call of duty. We had Kris at our house for a plugged sewer pipe and with a lighted scope identified a large disc that was plugging the pipe access to the street. The disc was unreachable by any equipment they had or we had in our house. Kris came back with Jake, whose long skinny arms were just long enough to reach the disc and pull it out. This saved us having our basement concrete broken up to access the pipe just to retrieve the menacing disc (which turned out to be the optional flap to stop sewage backflow from the street). They saved us over $1500 and a lot more hassles with their creative. out-of-the-box thinking and going above and beyond what we've seen with other plumbers. I would HIGHLY recommend Mr. Rooter!!!

Very pleased and happy with the work that the crew performed at our home. They installed a new tub, shower plumbing, and repaired some bad pipes. Trevor was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Got our blockage cleared and offered tips for future maintenance as well as fixes for other items that could be looked into.

The repairman was very professional, after 1 1/2 hours, went through all the options of what could be the problem, as the waterheater started working again before he came. Gave an estimate for a replacement when the problem occurs again and if we choose to put a new one in. Was not in the least bit pushy regarding anything!! Makes a person definitely want to recommend the company!!!

Eric came out on an after hours call due to a significant leak involving my main water valve shut off system in my house. He came out at the time promised to assist in the matter. He worked into the dark and due to circumstances beyond his control came back first thing in the morning to finish the job. He did however do a temporary fix to the problem so I could sleep without worrying about my basement flooding. When the job was complete he made sure the area was cleaned up and assisted in making sure what had gotten wet from the leak would dry properly. He has a very strong work ethic and made sure that the repair was done correctly in my older home. I have confidence in Eric's work. He was prompt, kind, informative, courteous, and knowledgeable. I will definitely reach out for Mr Rooter and Eric's assistance if needed in the future.

Kris and Jake came and fixed a serious blockage issue (pvc knockout) previous owner had left in pipe that was almost impossible to reach. Kris and Jake came up with a brilliant solution that saved me needing to excavate the pipe to rectify. Highly recommend for any troubling plumbing issue.

I just bought a house and called after discovering a leaking kitchen sink. I knew we needed our sink repiped, but he not only fixed the water flow, he moved our dish washer pipe to stop water from staying in it and replaced all of pipes for less than any other quoted cost!

Stephen Rea was our tech and he was awesome! He was professional, kept us up to date on progress and our options. He made sure we understood what was happening and what to expect. He brought in another tech (Alex) to give us our option and pricing for a lining on our pipe going to the street. They were both very knowledgeable and courteous. Even when we said they didn’t have to do their shoe covers, they did anyways. Very respectful and kind. Both technicians loved dogs and didn’t mind our dog saying hi. (We did offer to put the dogs away if they wanted but they both had dogs and didn’t mind.) Would highly recommend!

Josiah and his colleague replaced an antiquated and clogged tub trap. They came on short notice, explained what needed to be done, described options, did the work quickly, and cleaned up well. We’re very happy with the result.

No high pressure sales gimmicks here! Sam scoped the sewer and had me see for myself where the problems were. He spent time educating me about my options and also worked with me on the price. My water heater died and they were able to send out a tech on the same day and he even put in a new water heater. Expensive but worth it.

I was quoted $1400 for a job that should cost me < $500. I was able to find someone much more experienced within 24 hrs. Since then, I've heard nothing but bad things about Mr. Rooter, Bonfe, Roto Rooter, and similar companies looking to take advantage of someone in need. In the Twin Cities, you can call Ron's Sewer, or Drainbusters, for example, their companies are built the right way. The City/town you live in should have a list of vendors in your area. Always start there if you have a connection to a city sewer. Drain cleaners should not get paid what a surgeon makes per hour, and that's what $1400 equates to. Luckily, I only lost the $59 arrival charge to this company.

Our water heater went out at the worst possible time just before New Years Eve. No one had availability so I scheduled for Sunday with Mr. Rooter. They called me on New Years Eve because they had a change in their schedule. Our issue was diagnosed quickly.

Was very impressed with the service provided from beginning to end. Submitted request for service via website Sunday and was contacted within two hrs to schedule appointment for Monday morning. Derek O, the service tech, was professional, provided me with a comprehensive estimate of potential cost ranges, and was able to identify the problem and fix in the most minimally invasive/low cost option.

First time using them and they exceeded my expectations. Brandon the technician arrived on time (actually before me) was professional and courteous of the tenants that were home. Would use them again and would highly recommend their services.

I had a leak in my toilet plumbing. I called them at 11pm at night and got someone over 11am the next day. Tyler Asche was the plumber that got it done. He took the toilet out and discovered that someone took a shortcut building my house. He said my flange was sitting one an inch below where it should be. He put a riser on it and it was done quickly and from what I see, no more leaks. I highly recommend Tyler Asche.

I woke up to a pipe leaking in the basement. Mr. Rooter was the only place I called that could do same day service, on a Saturday too. Aaron was awesome. He was very knowledgeable, didn't try to upsell us on anything, and he even gave us some solid plumbing advice unrelated to the leak we called about. 5 stars!

He worked with me to investigate the multiple hot water pipes leading to this interesting bathroom (that has hot water feeding to the toilet, which isn’t ideal by the way), and helped figure out the solution. I’ve used this company before and they have always been great. Before I used them the first time, I shopped around after their free estimate, and came back to them. Glad I did. Thanks Mr. Rooter! Don’t confuse them with that roto version of rooter. Mr. Rooter is much better.

great outfit! Called me after setting the appointment and asked if they could come EARLY. The other 2 we had scheduled to give us an estimate continued to push our appointments back until we cancelled on them. Professional, timely, and seemed very reasonably priced.

Rob Larson was our technician this morning. My mother and I found Rob to be polite and efficient when he had to clean out the drain down in the laundry room We would not hesitate to contact Mr. Rooter again in the future.

Alex and Rob did an amazing job! Bad plumbing issue at my house. Mr. Rooter answered at 6 a.m. and had the equipment when 3 other plumbers did not. I had some issues with the office and their communication with their technicians. However, after that was all worked through they sent a lead tech named Brandon to my home. My experience and opinion of Mr Rooter was turned around after meeting him and two other techs. The problem was fixed and we all lived happily ever after.

My water heater that was 2 years old had leaked water all over my basement floor. Ken Bartlett came and inspected it on a holiday night and it turned out to just be the pressure release valve. He explained how this worked and advised me to circulate the water in my water heater due to the color of the water coming out of the valve. He did not charge me for the service call!! Ken was polite, informative, very professional and I would request him again for a plumbing job.

The technician was accompanied by a field manager and they were both efficient and pleasant. I will definitely use their services again in the future.

I called them out to install a water line to my refrigerator and unclog a tub drain. My kitchen is above a crawl space with easy access to the water line. They quote me $850! Well, at least they got to keep the $65 service fee. Now I know why they refuse to quote pricing over the phone. I rarely submit a poor review but I’m sorry, not paying anyone $850 for one hours work plus trip time. Everyone needs to make a living however I refuse to support price gouging, thus the review.

We'd been having a few issues with our toilet over the last few months. Called up Mr. Rooter and the were able to send out Service Professional Patrick W. same day! It was a wonderful surprise to have the turn around be so quick. Patrick was able to determine the cause of our issues, went over our options AND get the full replacement done in one day! Patrick was very professional, and kind. I had to call the plumber come out o a Sunday afternoon cause the cat knocked something into the toilet and well the toilet was now not working. We had an excellent experience with this company. When our water heater went out I researched the approximate price for a new water heater and installation. Dennis came to our house promptly the next day and quoted us a very fair price and did the work necessary. He and his apprentice were extremely courteous and neat and we are very happy with the results. We have used Mr. Rooter in the past for a main water repair and had an excellent experience then too. I would highly recommend Mr. Rooter for any plumbing needs!

Called Mr. Rooter after our basement drain backed up and a same day service call was made which was much appreciated! Patrick quickly identified the issue and let us know the possible fixes right away. Pricing seemed maybe a bit high but overall fair as Patrick was knowledgeable, professional, and thorough. Patrick Walfoort came on a Sunday and immediately helped with our plugged pipe to septic. It was so great hearing the water running through again.
On Monday Greydon Boldt was there to use camera to see the broke pipe to the septic was located. Now the next step will be repair and replace the pipe. Recommend them .

I would not recommend this company. They came out to clean our pipes in early November & our basement ended up flooding a few weeks later due to an oversignt from the technician. Another technician came out and corrected the issue and made sure all roots were cleared to ensure flooding would not occur again. It appears they do not care about the customer experience as much as one would hope.

Craig at Mr. Rooter plumbing was amazing! He tackled a tricky plumbing job for us that involves an old pump and he stuck with it until he got it fixed! It involves multiple visits and ingenuity on his part. We highly recommend Mr. Router and especially Craig.

Got charged over $600 for a project that took less than 35 mins to complete. The part was less than $50. They make you pay for the service in advance. Technician said it could take up to 4 hours. Literally took him 35 mins. Why would you not adjust the price to reflect? Maybe I’m missing something, but feels like I got completely ripped off

It was good, they tried their best deep inspected in my townhouse where the water damaged in furance room and living room came from, but couldn't find where it came from.

Friday evening I had broken a metal pipe under my bathroom sinks and was able to get a plumber out first thing Saturday a.m. That's a win. Landon was my service tech (new guy) and was on time, professional and kept the work areas clean. That's a win. Nice to work out the work plan together and decide what and how things were to get done. That's a win. Got my drains installed but the one had a slight leak but he came back out two days later and we discussed the issue and found the problem. Redid the install and got it right. That's a win.I will recommend their service but would also recommend their company to have a experienced guy work with the new people longer as there are things on jobs they don't have the experience to solve yet. The bill was high but I suppose they all are.... Not sure there is such a thing as a value plumber.

Rob, Mike and Jon replaced my kitchen drain line. They were always on time and acted professionally. They did a great job and the work they did look very nice.

I called and requested a plumber to help me complete the replacement of a faucet in one of my bathrooms. I was asked to agree to a non-refundable 59 dollar deposit before sending the plumber. I asked for a rough estimate of the cost over the phone and they refused to provide one. I am new to the area and did not know anyone else to call. I agreed to it knowing that it should not cost more than 200 dollars and thirty minutes of work. I provided all the material and just needed labor. The plumber, Dan spent three minutes inspecting the faucet and went outside for nearly 15 minutes to 'talk to his boss who sets the prices'. To my horror, he came back with an estimate of 640 USD (six hundred and forty dollars). I had another company (B & C) come in today and complete the same job for 120 USD (one hundred and twenty dollars). I think this was all a scam for them to keep my 59 dollar deposit.If you need a plumbing job, do not call these guys. They will rip you off.

He then proceeded to offer me different options to fix the broken hose, one of which being with hose he had in his truck. At first, Mr. Rooter started out poorly with a mix up on appointment times. They very quickly, and professionally, correct that with a credit that was extremely fair. Ruslan was sent out for sump pump repair. He was very professional and walked me through expectations and what his work would entail. He was kind, and patient, and answered all of my many questions. He quickly diagnosed the issue and walked me through it, taking the time to make sure it was right and that I felt comfortable. Ruslan was great!

They were able to provide same day service. Our service man was professional, efficient and knowledgeable. Best service ever. Will come back for all our plumbing needs.

The Spouse is doing some landscaping. He set up our outdoor garden hose on a timer and a splitter to water the garden and backyard. He noticed that the faucet was leaking—not where the hose was attached, but above that. Plumber’s tape around the area did not solve the problem, and further diagnosis was impossible because he could not get to the pipe that led to that faucet. It was time to call a professional.We were transferred to Mr. Rooter by a local plumbing referral service. Jordan showed up ten to fifteen minutes early. I explained the problem and showed him where everything was located, and he got to work right away.It did not take him long to figure out what was wrong. He offered three repair options: 1) the cheapest that would probably fix the problem but had its downside, 2) the best, longest-lasting, and most expensive, and 3) the mid-cost and adequate. He explained what each option was, and why they cost what they did. We chose option #2.During the entire process, Jordan kept me apprised of what he was doing, e.g., going out to buy parts. At the same time, he didn’t disturb me much; I was able to work while he was working. I was especially happy that he installed a shutoff valve for the outside that was easy to spot and could be reached with a step ladder. He gave us good advice, recommending that we keep that faucet shut off during the winter. We hadn’t thought to do that; I’m retrospect, it is an obviously good idea.I would recommend this company for sure.

Patrick went above and beyond to help me remove the roots in my pipe. His dedication to returning our sewer line to working order was greatly appreciated and he certainly did a great job. Would hire again!

Best customer service I’ve received in a very long time. My technician, Jeff Strom (who also happens to be the manager) was professional, did quality work, and was great with my dogs. I was so impressed with his work that I hired him for 2 other projects. Mr. Rooter is a little more expensive in comparison to their competitors but worth every penny. I will be a lifetime customer because of Jeff’s awesome work.

We just bought an older home (circa ye olden days of 1900 thereabouts) and our basement situation is not the norm. We have a crawlspace that looks like something out of a horror movie (just need a light bulb swinging menacingly and a little girl in a bonnet in the corner) and unfortunately that is where Cory was stuck fixing a busted pipe that led out to our gardening hose. We had two water valves replaced to install a washer. The service man was here 1 hour. He installed two valves worth $20.00 each. The total bill came to $1,351.00 We feel robbed.

I wanted to replace the shower fixtures, lavatory and kitchen faucets due to negative corrosive effects of very hard water. Mr Rooter did a very good job and came up with a couple ways to save me a little money.

I had Kris out to repair a leaking main water valve and he did a great job of explaining my options and fixing the issue. Alex came out to assist with a sewer line inspection and, when an issue was found, he did a great job of explaining the problem and what options I had. Both Kris and Alex went above and beyond to fix the issue in my sewer line, and went so far as to call another Mr. Rooter employee to come out and have a look. It ended up being an issue with the city sewer line. I would highly recommend Mr. Rooter and will be using them for any future plumbing issues I have.

Roman Dahms from Mr. Rooter Plumbing Service Professionals did a fantastic job at unclogging our drain that had begun to back up and inconvenience the laundry area of the house. Mr. Roman was very clear in explaining the work he had done and in showing the example of what to do in case of another flood. I had them come diagnose the issue, and they said it would be an expensive but straightforward fix. They came and worked for a couple hours and did not fix my issue but also charged me $1600.At least they let me take a credit card out...so now I'm out 1600 and still don't have my issue taken care of. Never again.

We contacted Mr Rooter to help us replace our galvanized plumbing in our older home, replace our old bathtub, install a new kitchen sink and faucet, a new utility sink and new shower fixtures. I ran the dishwasher and had water coming out onto the floor, he immediately came out. He looked at the dishwasher and determined that the issue wasn't related to the drain clearing he had done. But he made sure the problem didn't reoccur again! So greatly appreciated him for taking the extra time and effort!!

Our toilet clogged and backed up into the shower. We plunged and plunged, but we couldn’t clear it and and it stunk! Stephen and Tyler from Mr. Rooter Plumbing came out and worked diligently until they got it cleared. I am so grateful for their expertise, professionalism and the care that they showed us. Rob Larson came out bright and early to take a look at the basement drain. Determined it wasn't the main line and set to work on clearing the clog. Finished and tested and all was good. A piece of equipment leaked on my carpet stairs. He let me know of the stains and cleaned them up and even asked me to inspect to make sure he got it all.Awesome! Great customer service.

Aaron was great, he spent a lot of time trying to clear all four underground downspouts and was able to get three cleared and worked a long time on the last one but the tree roots have taken over.

Mr. Rooter of the twin cities made changing my old toilet for a new toilet easy! The Mr. Rooter appointment process is simple. The toilet installer, Derek O. was terrific. He arrived on time, explained the process to me and answered all my questions. He took care to keep my home clean and tidy. He offered me options for the installation. He hauled away my old toilet and the packaging from the new toilet. The entire process took less time than I expected. He was very friendly with me and my cat who wanted to help him. I will happily use Mr. Rooter again and happily welcome Derek O. back.

We worked with Rob and Tyler when discovered a leak in our kitchen drain pipe. They were both very kind and professional and clearly explained what was wrong and what we needed to do. Ended up having to open up a wall and the floor and Rob and Tyler were able to keep the demolish contained and minimized the area we need to refinish. They fixed everything and cleaned up the whole area really nice. Next time I need a plumber I'll be calling Mr. Rooter.

Came out diagnosed the situation. Actually charged me twice for the service call but called me before I even knew it!

Could not fix my water problem and still charged me $285. just for coming out. It was a normal business day and during business hours. They ripped me off!!

The repair man was prompt and courteous. He wore booties and a mask was very professional and replaced my garbage disposal quickly. My only dissapointment was that although the garbage dis. was only 139.00 the labor was over 100.00 an hour which I was not expecting. My entire bill to replace the disposal came to 549.+ OUCH!!.

We purchased our house 2 years ago and about 6 months after moving in we began to notice our drains in the basement backing up. We called Mr. Rooter and were initially pleased with their service but since the first time they came out our plumbing has been backing up every few months. It appears to be the same problem every time but they haven't been able to give a consistent answer as to what is causing the backup. First they said it was the main sewer line to the street, then they said we were pouring grease down the drain, and this last time we were told that we were flushing non-flushable wipes down the drains(we don't even buy the kind of wipes they pulled out??). I would like to finally have an answer to why my pipes are backing up. We called Mr. Rooter out 2 days ago and tonight the pipes are already backing up again.We've even stated that we're willing to do the very expensive replacement of the main sewer line but they never send anyone out to survey or give us a quote!!

I was very impressed with the service we received. The plumber, Ruslan, was extremely knowledgeable and professional. We live in an older building (built in 1904) and he was able to easily navigate his way through old fixtures and pipes.Additionally he is a hard worker, took no breaks until the job was done.I'm very happy with my new bathroom.

Do not call them! Calling them was a mistake! They came to look at why my water pressure wasn't working in my kitchen. The guy told me the valves were bad in my faucet and he could either fix it for $580 or do a new one got $811 I said no that's insane. He fiddles with the sink leaves and all of a sudden I have zero water in my sink then argued and refused to come back out and fix his error. Horrible company do not recommend!

My water heater broke down and thankfully for me I called Mr. Rooter Plumbing. Jon W was the technician that arrived that day. He was polite, professional, and thorough in explaining everything he found. He was upfront with options and pricing. I decided replacement was the best option, and Jon came back the next day to install the new water heater. When he was done, he showed me the heater and instructions for troubleshooting. This was not the best thing to happen so close to the holidays, but I couldn't have asked for better service. Jon was truly stellar, as was the intern that came with him. Thank you.

Mr. Rooter was out to do a sewer line inspection and clearing when I purchased a new property in the summer of 2020, just 7 months later I needed them back out because the roots had grown back in, leading me to wonder what kind of job was done the first time around. There was no warranty or discounted provided for the second clearing, also the line did not have any dips or strange abnormalities to it.Following the second clearing I asked for a pipe liner quote, so that I could permanently fix the issue. Mr. Rooter was unable to provide me with a video of the inspection that was done, despite having spent nearly $2,000 in services within the last year, this was an additional charge of $300. From what I could gather, there was no video editing or brush up services for the video, so what did this $300 pay for - oh, it was to prevent me from sending the video to competitors. This is text book company first mindset vs customer first. I will be taking my property management and portfolio of properties elsewhere.*Response to Owner Below* (unable to reply directly)Hello, thank you for the thought out and extensive response below and I am sorry to hear that you disagree with the $300 added video fee. While I do not disagree with other customers having a beneficial experience, mine was not quiet the same. I believe I paid a fair price for the service, but to pay an additional $300+ for a video of an inspection that was already performed does not seem to make much sense to me.As mentioned in your response, I was unable to attend the video review, but this is because I am a busy professional. Have you ever worked with out of state owners in the past? If so do you require them to travel to your office to view the video? A $9500 liner can be rather expensive without ever seeing the liner itself. While a used car would be easy to see in person, something like a sewer line is not so easy just to go out and see on someone's own time. As you can imagine, it can be hard to attend the actual inspection for busy individuals, and I'm sure the are elderly who may even feel uncomfortable doing so in today's Covid environment.Your statement on encouraging second opinions does not align with your additional $300+ charge for the video, which to my knowledge, does not include any video editing or polishing to warrant an additional charge. While I understand it is frustrating to have competitors and some customers who share videos, it will be difficult if not virtually impossible for you to prevent competition in a free market economy.Upon calling some of your competitors, I learned that many do not impose this additional video charge. These are the companies that I will be working with when I need the next main line cleaning and will be purchasing a liner from them.

My water heater was not working anymore. Looked online and saw Mr. Rooter. Called them out and Dennis gave me a professional and honest opinion on what was going on with my water heater. Needed water heater and old gas piping replaced. Dennis and Josiah came out the next day and did a great job installing everything.

Derek Osterud did an amazing job with my plumbing! After my dishwasher water line burst and flooded my kitchen, Derek was able to get out the same day and replace the busted pipe, as well as fixing up my leaky water main and a few other issues! Rob performed the work and did a great job. I felt his quote was very reasonable to replace the toilet fill valve and pipe shut off valve. Additionally, I called a dozen companies before contacting Mr. Rooter and none could do the job for at least a week. Mr. Rooter showed up the very next day, a Saturday. That's well worth the few extra bucks they charge.

Prompt, same day scheduling with only one call without any phone tree waiting. Very conscientious repair technician diagnosed problem, but needed to return to office to obtain expensive item. Service person was able to complete job within 2-1/2 hours of first arriving. Slight snafu with final testing, perhaps caused by homeowner distracting repair person. But repair technician was respectfully apologetic and spent time to rectify the snafu.

I contacted Mr. Rooter for help with a multitude of tasks. The phone staff were extremely helpful and professional. I was able to schedule an estimate and repair on the same day, and on a weekend too. Mr. Rooter sent Tyler Asche, who was prompt and very professional. He did such a great job and I cannot recommend his services enough! This is the only plumbing service I will ever use. Great prices, fantastic services!

I'd give ZERO stars if I could for their customer services in particular the main dispatch line person named, CINDY - The situation: Tech opened up a pipe on our top floor for our tenant's tub. Water spilled all over the hallway and leaked onto our bottom floor. I called to speak to a manager to make sure that the damage caused to our property would be taken care of. All she told me was that a manager would call me on Monday. This was NOT a satisfactory answer as we have damage walls and ceiling tiles. I said Well what is going to happen to the damages and do I have to pay for the service? Monday is a long time to wait for something to get done. She said Well OBVIOUSLY you don't have to pay, and we have a company we will call to come clean up the place. I said Okay. That sounds better. Thank you! She just hung up. The tech just did some quick cleaning and DID NOT finish the job because CINDY said I told them I wasn't going to pay. She LIED about what I said so the tech never finished the job even though he said he was there and could finish the job. So we have damaged walls, ceiling tiles, AND nothing is FIXED. Go SOMEWHERE ELSE even if it costs more. We will see if the manager calls on Monday and if we get reimbursed for the damage.Day FIVE: Issue is still not resolved and no manager has called me.

Great communication, same-day-service, & fair pricing.Yesterday we had Josiah from Mr. Rooter out to our new home. After receiving multiple quotes price gouging us at $1,700+ for a NEW SHUT OFF VALVE, Josiah came out and with Mr. Rooter’s pricing schedule, the price for the work was very fair. Our Main water line was leaking in the basement, and our main shut of valve wasn’t working. He came out and determined that we needed to replace a section of corroded copper pipe with pex instead because the water pressure in our home was strong, and he installed a new shut off valve for us. All work was done by him and Derek within about an hour of arriving.We will definitely be coming back to Mr. Rooter for future plumbing needs!

They arrived at the appointment time given. They gave three repair options, detailing each and the cost, then offered a fourth option taking into account a handicapped family member. The repair required skill, some creativity and time, but because of our handicapped son they were willing to work the extra time it took since the next day began a 3-day weekend. We are very pleased with the result and will definitely use their service again.

Jeff & Kris handled a mistake very professionally. They first installed a conventional water heater. When it failed inspection they admitted they should have tested the flue prior to completion. They replaced the conventional with a power-vented unit for the difference in cost, less an additional credit with no additional labor or service fee. The treated me fairly and the workmanship appears to be solid.

Mr. Rooter was recommended and I thought they were great to work with! They were able to get me in as a last minute 5pm appointment on a Friday and when things turn an unexpected turn for the worse, they promptly called in other techs to fully understand the scope of the issue. I did not feel rushed when things ended up taking longer than expected, and Alex and Stephan spent extended time answering questions I had. Overall, they worked diligently to get permission to do weekend work with the city so I wouldn’t have to sit the weekend without ability to use my water. They also worked as a team to schedule me the next morning in order to fix my main drain.Throughout the whole process they had me to watch, ask and answered my questions, and provided explanation on what they were doing at each step. They provided multiple quotes for various options and explained each option thoroughly.Despite an unexpected and emergent situation, I had an amazing experience working with Alex, Stephan and Jake! Would highly recommend!

The pricing for the work is very competitive with what other plumbers I've worked with in the area have charged, and taking on a project that several other companies were afraid to tackle. He was extremely generous with his time & knowledge by answering all the questions I had about the plumbing, no matter how trivial. In doing the work, he even went the extra mile and fixed a problem I was aware of but did not specifically highlight to him beforehand! Kris also let me know I could fix my faucet on my own, when he could've sold me an expensive service, then recommended a good quality toilet to replace my old one. After purchasing a new house a couple weeks ago; I was hesitant on using the fixtures and pluming in the house so I did my research and showed this place as a very highly rated company. I made my call and on the weekend, Sunday Derek O. came to my house and helped inspect the items I wanted replace and then we noticed a huge issue in the plumbing/piping in the house. Went through all the issues of the piping and advised me to get those completed.Derek O. was VERY transparent about everything needing to be done and I am VERY grateful for Derek being up front and honest about the situation on the house. BIG shoutout to his helper in the repairs in the house I believe it was Josh. I apologize if I forgot the second person's name but yes both of them got the job completed in 3 days for the house and it truly has given me a peace of mind in my household now that I can shower and drink water without fear.These two workers deserve a LOT and anyone looking for experienced and GREAT workers when they call Mr. Rooter should definitely call Derek O. as their main go to!

They came out to assess a sump pump in a house that we were considering buying. I did have to pay a diagnostic fee, however, they did a great job and were so professional. They put booties on to keep the house clean as they entered. They answered all my questions, found an answer/solution, and provided a quoted estimate very promptly. They were great and I would undoubtedly use their business again.

Service tech was great! But one thing I was upset with. I didn’t know Mr Rooter was sold to a new owner.What should have been done, is a letter should have been sent to all previous customers announcing that there is new owners. Explains the new rules about coupons. The coupons didn’t have an expiration date, so I assumed they were still valid. Unless I bought a new water heater, they wouldn’t honor it. Not a great way to keep customers! I will have to evaluate any further plumbing needs, as to whom I call.

We had an emergency plumbing situation that no other plumbing businesses were able to help us with immediately. Mr. Rooter came through for us and got two workers to come fix our problem right away. Excellent workers, very professional. We will definitely be using Mr. Rooter again for any future repairs.

We needed to have our gas dryer hooked up so we called Mr. Rooter. Tina came out the next day and did a great job! While she was here she asked if we had any other issues we wanted her to look at. We told her about a small leak from our toilet. She didn't have one of the needed parts with her but came back the very next day and went over and beyond to get everything fixed correctly. Tina was professional, courteous, respectful and did an awesome job! We will definitely hire her and Mr. Rooter again if we need any plumbing!!!! We highly recommend!

The technician found that there was actually only one leak and fixed the single leak same day for 1/4 less of the price of the other place. Overall really good experience and has me considering changing my plumbing provider. Thank you!

I actually called Mr. Rooter for a gas line hookup for my new dryer, after Home Depot delivered the dryer on Monday but their install crew was not available for a week. Instead, Mr. Rooter sent Derek over at 8 am the next morning, and within 20 minutes we had a bid to install our dryer and bring the gas line and vent up to code. He also inspected the rest of our plumbing and was surprised our water heater was >20 years old- gave us a very competitive bid for a larger, newer water heater. Derek was very knowledgeable and professional and even took the time to walk me through the pros and cons of a tank vs. tankless water heater. We agreed to the bid and they fit in all the work today! I could hardly tell Derek was here working, he was quiet and cleaned the whole area when complete. I will definitely be calling Mr. Rooter for my next plumbing jobs- I have some small jobs I’ve been putting off but feel comfortable getting bids for these now!

I have several sump pumps in my basement and one of them appeared to go out on me a few nights ago. I called Mr. Rooter of Twin Cities and made an appointment. Not even 30 mins had gone by before Jeff called me back to talk about what issues I was having and to understand the severity of the problem. After meeting Jeff today I'm really glad I made that call. Once he got down in the well he tested a few things and wound up pulling out a broken check valve that was the cause of the issues. I'm sure he could have replaced the sump and charged me a small fortune but instead the repair cost was minimal and my sump has been working better than ever now that the real issue has been resolved. Having a plumbing professional I can trust is incredibly important to me and thanks to Jeff at Mr. Rooter of Twin Cities I know who I'm going to call the next time I have any problems.

As always for us we had help in about 15 minutes. Chris and his apprentice quickly found the problem and gave us options regarding repair and what each would cost. The apprentice also mentioned replacing a pipe that had already had two leaks and I had wondered why that had not been done before. Since the base fee for pipe replacement starts at 5 ft and the current leak was in another spot we were able to take care of both for only a little more $.

We had Tyler Ascher out for an estimate today. He was the best! His estimate was competitive and he was availabe to do the job today. (Mr. Rooter has regular hours on the weekend-no extra fees and convenient for working folks) We decided to have him install our new bathtub faucet and a kitchen facet, and we couldn't be more pleased. Very knowledgeable and courteous. We will definately use them again for our plumbing needs.

Had many problems with my mom's 55 year old house. The friendly techs fixed the bathroom sink drain and the big laundry tub problem downstairs which was backing up big time. Helped us save $$ by suggesting to do it all at once to save trip fees. Also replaced some leaky water pipes downstairs. Everything is working great and the new laundry tub looks great (the old concrete tub had a crack and needed to be replaced). Thanks Roman, Jeremy and Kris for a great job! I purchased a three-filter under sink water filter for $150 on Amazon. It was not reverse osmosis. Tried e-mailing around for cost to install. Most places did not reply or called instead. Mr. Rooter was the only one that communicated by e-mail as I requested. $59 just to come out and give me an estimate. I sure wish I had looked up reviews first. I believed whatever they would charge would be an industry standard. Two guys came out. Cost to install... $528.84. That's 3 1/2 times what the product cost me. So, ultimately this cost me $678. Now that I think of it, one of the places that e-mailed said they could install THEIR reverse osmosis product for $650, but I did not have the room under my sink for the holding tank.

We need help with a water turn off for our refrigerator at 8pm at night after the water dispenser would not turn off and flooded out floor. I called Mr. Rooter and Josh was here within the hour. He helped us immediately and was so polite. I WILL call them for any plumber issues and I have saved all their info for quick access in my books.

Unlike several other companies that I called, Mr. Rooter really did provide 24/7 service. We had a major problem (sump pump failure on a rainy night that flooded our basement) and we were able to get service within an hour of making the phone call.The technician who helped us was kind, personable, and did good, high-quality work (installed a new sump pump) which solved a major part of our problem.Something that really impressed me was that when our technician was on the phone with his supervisor to finalize some billing details, I could hear the supervisor praising him for a job well done. It was nice to hear that Mr. Rooter positively recognizes their employees. Perhaps that's why he was so pleasant to work with.

We have tree roots in our serwer pipe. I called and Erick came out and removed the roots and sent down a sewer camera and found cracks in the pipe. We are planning a relining of our serwer pipe soon.Erick was prompt, kind and consciencious. He made sure that all the roots were gone and pipe was cleaned before he was done.I recommend Erick highly for all your plumbing needs!

These guys SAVED my family and I. We had a pipe clog, freeze, and burst. The only bathroom we have was unusable.I had called probably 20 different plumbing and pipe company's, none of which, dealt with mobile homes. By the time I found Mr Rooter Plumbing, I was in tears and at my wits end.They assured me they could have someone come out and take a look on the same day. When he showed up, he was very polite, didn't sugar coat the problem, and explained exactly what needed to be done and how much it would cost.The problem was fixed by the end of the day. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!We had issues with our toilet flushing slowly and clogging. They came here for 5 minutes, charged me $217.98 and the toilet clogged the same night! Called them to complain, they came back to fix it but 2 gentlemen came here, flushed the toilet (which wasn't clogged at the time but went down slowly) and left. They won't do anything else. I'm left here with a toilet that is in the same condition as it was before they came here and a $217.98 bill to pay.Learn from my mistake and take your business to a company that will actually do their job and one that charges a lot less than $217.98 for 5 minutes of their time and the use of their snake!

One of the plumbers that was there won't return calls Jordan is not a very plumber. My mom is 75 not in good health this is not a company i will ever call again went something else needs fixing piss poor company if u want it done right call someone else

While caring for my mom, Rita, after her surgery I smelled gas in her basement. I was able to get a fast response from Mr. Rooter of the Twin Cities and couldn't be more happy with the entire process of working with this company and their team of professionals. Robby did a great job on repairing the initial gas leak. He was polite and always had a smile and did an excellent job! The following day I discovered a separate gas-related issue with the dryer that required one of their guys to come out on a Saturday. Craig was very helpful and gave us some good advice after taking a hard look at the situation. This was complicated by the fact that the vent leading outside had a deck built over it, and the vent didn't meet code and was a serious fire hazard. We would not have known the danger this created without Craig's help. He got us scheduled with a team to come in on Monday to replace the venting system for the dryer. Jeff and Robby showed up on time and did an amazing job. Again, they were prompt, polite, explained things well, and went above and beyond what I would have expected. I just can't say enough good things about our experience with this company and the guys who showed up to do the work!!!

After noticing a backup in my wash room drain Austin was able to come in the next morning and help clean out my main sewer line and my wash room backup line. He was very kind and informative. I did not use the sewer dawg service as it was a good deal but significantly more expensive. I am hoping to treat the roots that made it through with root killer from Lowe's each month to save money on that service. It did cost $850 to snake the main sewer line and the washroom plus getting an enzyme to treat the pipes.

The technician was very thorough in explaining the work and it appears to be working correctly however they didn’t have the right tools to move appliances without damaging our floor. I have complained and will see what happens. I would expect them to be responsible to not do the work without the proper equipment. We just bought this house now the floor is damaged and will need to be replaced to fix it. I would recommend finding someone who will come with the right tools

The technician, Ruslan, was great. Very professional and courteous. I was grateful that they could be at my house within a few hours, but...my first question BEFORE booking the appointment, was do you service Culligan water treatment systems and was told yes. (Culligan had a 2 week wait time). After Ruslan started looking into the issue, he told me they don't work on Culligan equipment. So, I wasted $60 on a trip charge, when whoever I spoke with should have known that they couldn't help me. I asked for a refund, so we'll see......

Landon solved a problem for us with our toilet drain that had been an issue since moving in to the house 2 years ago. It took more than your average drain cleaning. The team at Mr. Rooter was professional from start to finish.

I recommend calling a different company.I'm in the process of purchasing a home, and I called Mr. Rooter to conduct a sewer scope during the inspection period. They did not provide an up-front baseline quote for this service, as other companies do. They said they couldn't provide a quote because they wouldn't know what they would have to do until they assessed the situation. This explanation sounded strange to me, as this type of job is straightforward -- you push a drain snake with a camera down the sewer line and see what's there. Yes, there may be access issues, but there should be some sort of baseline quote, given no access issues. Note that another company provided a baseline quote of ~$180. I should have walked away, but they were able to come out at a convenient time for me and the current homeowner.I met the technician at the subject property. Access to the sewer line was extremely simple (it was right inside the garage). The technician said it would be $357 -- which is outrageous. It would have been very inconvenient to reschedule during the inspection period, so I went along with the service.The technician spent a few minutes in the garage and came back to tell me that he found root intrusion only 3' into the pipe. He let me see him run the camera down, and he didn't make any real effort to push past the blockage to scope the line. He then proceeded to try to sell one of two services: snake a roto-rooter down the line for $457, or snake a water jet machine down the line for $1,384!These prices are out of control. The services are simple and not labor intensive, and I've seen quotes to replace whole sewer lines for ~$2,000.I suspect this company knows people are on tight timelines during inspection periods, and that it is very inconvenient to reschedule. In my opinion, this is a prime example of an unscrupulous company trying to take advantage of both fearful prospective buyers and homeowners who are under contract, trying to make the biggest transaction of their lives in a timely manner. Shame on me for letting them string me along.Call someone else.

Josiah came to our home as an add on/emergency appointment after completing his regular full day of work. He was very professional, took the time to explain everything, did an excellent job, answered all our questions, and didn’t rush through anything. First time homeowner. Trevor G. was our plumber. Loved how they put you on a schedule, come to your house, then provide quotes on the spot! Then be able to do the service right there. We had to have our valves shut off in our kitchen since our house was built long ago and the previous owners either never replaced/updated it or they DIY-Ed it incorrectly and the water doesn’t shut off without resorting to the main line. The service was reasonably priced and Trevor walked us through the different options on how we wanted to do it- or if we wanted to take it a step further. He also took the time to educate us on our plumbing and what could be fixed or be brought up to code. Overall, very professional, personable, informative, and quality workmanship!

Ruslan was great. Came out on a Saturday to diagnose and fix a water shut-off and supply line issue int he bathroom. Had a bit more work than was expected, but he stuck with it and got it all done in a timely fashion. No one else would even humor me when I asked for someone to come out on a Saturday.

SCAM. $60 to come out, then quoted $345 to snake the sink drain. Huge ripoff. Loss of $60. We had the same job done 3 years ago for $129. Took them 20 minutes. So Mr. Rooter is charging $1,000/hr.

Help, Mr Rooter! Again, the terrible surprise when walking into the laundry room - backed up toilet. Ugh. As we always do with plumbing issues, we immediately called Mr Rooter. As always they were there promptly, Kris, and later Tyler, got right to work, diagnosed the problem and suggested the solution along with an estimate of cost. They put down drop clothes across our carpet - a very nice touch - and then proceeded to clear out our extremely long line to the street (requiring working in a pouring rain at times.) When done they cleaned up the laundry room - a very unpleasant task - and left it better than it had been before the problem. This was our fourth use of Mr Rooter in 12 years and as always with their technicians, they were unfailingly friendly, professional and highly skilled. I cannot recommend them highly enough (although I hope I don't have to see them again too soon!)

Century Link detected a small gas leak and I needed a pipe replaced that day in order to have my gas turned back on. Mr Rooter said they could get someone out that afternoon. Tyler and Jordan worked for many hours and were going to have to cut into my brand new ceiling to get at the pipe. They did try to avoid cutting the ceiling and went above and beyond by fixing the pipe thru a small opening without having to cut up my new ceiling and wall. I really appreciate this given the easy solution would have been to just cut up the ceiling. I highly recommend!

I was not quite sure how this was going to go as our initial encounter was not great, however both Tony, the owner, and Eric, the service person stepped up. On 2/18 I called them to install a hot water hearted . The plumber showed up around noon worked till 5:00 then said his schedule was booked wouldn’t be back until 2/20 to finish the job. Me.router was charging me $2200 to install a. Hot water heater that I could have done myself in 8 hours and saved myself $1200. I called the morning of 2/19 said that if the water heater was not installed be eod on 2/19 they would not be paid. By 11:30 the same plumber showed up to finish the job. I worked with that plumber till 4:30 to get it installed at one point his manager showered up saw me helping him made a comment oh your helping . No discounts offered for the poor service they were more concerned with being paid then making the situation right . Bottom line an experienced plumber should have been able to install the hot water heater in 3 to 4 hours not two days .. don’t user them poor service ...

Did a load of laundry last night, woke up to a backed up floor drain. Our regular plumber was booked till later in the week. Called Mr. Rooter and spoke to a pleasant, professional and scheduled a technician. Kris C arrived on time near the top of the 2 hour window. He diagnosed a blocked main line and explained the possible charges and got to work. The line was badly blocked with roots in multiple places and it took almost 3 hours to clear and he worked at those clogs like it was a personal challenge. He included a video inspection and showed me the problem areas. I opted for the foaming root killer treatment that may help the root build up. Six years ago that drain was clogged and it cost me twice as much to repair because they started clearing the floor drain and moved to the main after that and video inspection was extra. So I paid for two cleanings when the main was the problem. I mentioned the upstairs bathroom faucet ran slow. Kris took a look, removed and cleaned the aerator screen, more than Tripling the flow and didn't charge me for it. Professional plumbing service can be expensive and your mileage my vary but I would recommend Mr. Rooter service and specifically Kris C.

$431 PER HOUR! TOTAL FOR 4 HOURS = $1724.72What did I get for nearly $2000?2 spigots outside the house replaced and a shower head replaced.It looks like they did good work. Everything got done and they have a professional service but seriously? $431 per hour?Will call someone else next time.

Not interested in having a debate with the owner on a Google review about this, so shortening my review. Also, very suspect how the owner has a response for every single review. Negative review, customers fault and fake apology. Seems a little convenient for every negative review.I was not impressed with the service. Prices are very high, and the tech takes no responsibility for any work. You have to throw $500 at something, and if that doesn't work, onto the next service and charge. Did a poor job of laying out options and risks, simply threw out a bunch of prices and refused to give any professional opinion. Would not recommend.

Had a problem with a backed up sewer line and called Mr. Rooter. Service man arrived promptly at the appointed time proceeded to clean out the main drain but ran into problems. He needed to call in another repair man to do further cleaning and left the drain clean and functioning. The service technician cleaned the area around the floor drain where the back-up occurred for which I was grateful. I was impressed with professionalism of the crew, and the promptness to do the job, Would hire again.

A pipe under the mop sink in the restaurant where I work froze and burst at 5 in the morning. Water gushing everywhere until we could figure out how to shut it off. I think it only took 30 minutes or so for Josiah to plumber to get there, and less than an hour for him to replace a section of pipe. Crisis averted. $369 was reasonable and more than worth it so we could have hot water for the brunch crew who was to arrive at 8.

Ruslan was a huge help and life saver! Called with an emergency leak and was at my house within the hour to fix and simply explain the problem that occurred. Ruslan was nice, professional, and had a great attitude to alleviate a big problem for me on a Friday afternoon!

Totally disgusted with this company. Don't buy in on their tagline on Never a Service Charge because they will charge much more than a service charge - they call it Diagnose Fee. That is what I got. The technician told me they will need to charge me $205 for diagnose fee and will be deducted from the repair fee that will not be more $350 for a behind shower leak. Naive me, he cut a 4 by 6 inch hole on the sheet rock and told me he have to replace the whole shower for $720. He can only replaced the Rough-In valve but he refused. I end up having to pay the diagnosis fee because I denied the repair. Of course I would denied it because I was promised a no more than $350 bill. I end up having a local plumber fix the leak all for only $200. Even lower than their scam 'Diagnosis Fee'. DO NOT USE THEM. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!

When we called and asked about getting our gas stove hooked up, they refused to quote an hourly labor rate, trying to say that they couldn't provide that. I've never heard anything so crooked in my life. If you can't quote a per hour labor charge, you don't deserve anyone's business.

Fantastic, quick and thorough. I had to add gas line shut off valves installed to get my house to code, as well as have two gas appliances installed. Jordan did a really great job, was very punctual and diligent in checking everything that needed checking, and left my house very clean and looking great!

They were misleading with cost, I thought diognosing & quote was free, unless they did not find any problem. They did find a $420 problem but they still charged me $150 for the quote. I understand time is not free it was just an expensive misunderstanding, be careful and clear about costs, and for me there are lots of other plumbing companies out there for me to try.

In and out in under an hour and $672 to replace a small chunk of 3/4 copper piping. Very expensive. I will not be using them again. I do not recommend.

I had Eric Thies come to my house to install a new shower head, faucet, and tub spout. He redid the plumbing and added 2 shut off valves. The work was top quality but more than that Eric was so pleasant to work with. He taught me a lot about plumbing while he was doing the work and stayed late to finish, even though it was after he was supposed to get off.It was such a good experience and I recommend Eric and Mr. Rooter plumbing to anyone.

Don't use for emergency/weekend service. We had a major leak that meant turning off the water for the entire home. In other words, we *really* needed a plumber fast. They committed to coming out at 5pm on a weekend. Got a call at 5:15pm (15 minutes after we were expecting them) saying nobody was available. Adding insult to injury, it was too late to get someone from another company out. Typical plumber is late, this one just dosen't come at all.

Had a great experience with Aaron and his co-worker Tyler who came out to look at our broken garbage disposal and dishwasher drain hose. They showed up right on time, were very knowledgeable on the issues, parts needed, and install process. They made sure to thoroughly inspect all the work after the install, leaving me with great peace of mind that our troubles were behind us! Highly suggest! Will use again!

Not only was our technician Aaron on time, he was also friendly, kept my house sparkling clean, taught us about what he was doing and why, and gave a clear recap at the end and things we can do to prevent our floor drain from clogging in the future! 10/10 would recommend and won’t ever call another company again!

After 3 tries with mix-ups with the office the toilet was finally installed after the first attempt proved that the toilet was not adhered to the floor. I noticed water pooling on the floor and discovered the shut off line was leaking. I called the tech and he said he knew but didn't think it mattered!When over a half a cup of water is leaking everyday, it matters. He said I could set up another appointment and it would cost x-amount of dollars. Would that not have been part of the $300 spent just to have the toilet installed? Would never ever use them again... even if free.

I came across an old gas pipe in my 1924 house that was not in good shape, called Mr Rooter to set up an appointment, and was able to have it set up for the next day (a saturday even!). Josiah showed up at the beginning of the service window and ran me thru the options on how to proceed with the gas line, and he also wound up fixing another plumbing issue for me that i had not mentioned when i set up the appointment. All the quoting was up front and no-pressure, the end cost was exactly what was quoted before the work started. It wound up being a longer fix then i think either of realized it would be, but Josiah was very efficient and professional and got the job done! I would definitely recommend Mr Rooter.

Initially found water in basement and had Derek come out. He diagnosed the problem and we got it fixed. We also needed our shut-off valves replaced as they were the originals and the house was built in the 50s. Derek came out again, on time, worked quickly and efficiently.We've also previously had a new, 'no dig' sewer line installed with Mr. Rooter due to tree root breaches in the line. They are absolutely our go-to with any kind of plumbing work.

Stephen was very knowledgeable and professional and cleared our drains on the same day as the assessment.

We were able to get someone out the day we requested service for a gas line above our hot water heater with duct tape on it that we’d never noticed before. Rob was very professional and upfront that there was only rust, no gas leak, so we didn’t need to have the gas pipe replaced right away. We opted to have him replace it since the price he quoted was reasonable. We thought he’d have to come back another day to have enough time to do the repair, but he was able to fit us in and rolled the price of the call into the price of the repair. We will definitely call Mr. Rooter again for any plumbing or gas line issues!

Townhome owners, you don’t have many options for drain service in the TC metro (at least not that I’ve found). Although no one likes to spend money on plumbing issues, I appreciated Jon R.’s promptness (same day!) and his straightforward approach to diagnosing and solving our drain problem. Jon is a top-notch professional and I believe he treated my home like he’d treat his own. I happily recommend Jon and Mr. Rooter.

I called the company to come and clean my main sewer line as preventative maintenance. Aaron the plumber was on time and did an inspection with a camera through the whole line. He did not try and sell me what I did not need and was very pleasant and professional.

We had a water heater replaced. They were willing to come out and gave me several estimates with absolutely no pressure to sign with them. I contacted one other company who wouldn't even come out and gave higher estimate over the phone. Heater was replaced very promptly and repairman Doty was very nice and explained things to me.

We had an emergency plumbing issue regarding a new washer which Ken fixed in no time flat, and he also replaced ours and my parents water heater (in conjunction with Kris). Rob and Tyler installed a new gas stove for us. Their precision in making sure the one we ordered online would fit was amazing. They replaced a very old model stove with no trouble and did it very efficiently!!We are going to ask for them specifically to help with other plumbing needs as we update an older house we just purchased.

We had both of our toilets plug up on a Saturday (of course). I called Mr Rooter and they sent a guy out that afternoon. They were very professional and informative about our options. We went the least expensive route and the next day our toilets were moving slow again. I called them back and they were able to send us another technician the next day. Again, this technician took the time to go over all of our options and again we choose the least expensive option. Lucky for us, this time it was successful and our toilets are still flowing freely. I was very impressed with how quickly they were able to send help and both guys were friendly, polite, informative and non-judgmental. I never felt pressed to spend more money. I don't have anything negative to review for Mr Rooter!

We had a bit of an interesting plumbing task after purchasing a home in which the previous owner decided to pipe their sump pump into the city sewer instead of properly draining it outside. After getting quotes from a few places, I decided (based on current reviews) to check with Mr. Rooter. I should also mention, this had to be done with a finished basement in which previous companies said the only option is to rip apart the basement, cut through our framing, and run it outside leaving yet another project to fix that damage.Fortunately, after explaining our situation to dispatch, they said they were going to connect us with the right guy, who happened to be Dennis. Dennis came by, spent significant time looking at the options, and gave a lot of good details, all just as a free quote. I discussed some options with him, and after consulting with the master plumber, we were able to save our basement, and find a great solution that no on else had even considered.Prices are reasonable (Far better cost than having to rebuild our basement walls + the plumbing), super friendly service, and they take care of the city permitting for you.Thanks you Dennis! Awful! Way more expensive than anyone else! Wanted 428 just to unclog a main drain and 1218 for jetting. Even if I agreed to the jetting the equipment was busted. Avoid at all costs!

Craig and Aaron went above and beyond what I had them there for. I had them replaced my shower faucet and tub surround. I live in a steal prefabricated house from the 50s. It’s not your typical house and they were able to make it work. I can’t say enough how happy I am with the work they did.

We asked for a refrigerator water line hookup, already having a 1/4 poly line ran from the kitchen fridge to our basement, terminating right next to a cold water 1/2 copper pipe. The work required amounted to installing a tee valve with a 1/4 out, less than 1 hour of work for a plumber to do.The technician punched this into his iPad and came back with a $650 bill. Long story short, I thought this was an unreasonable price for an hour of work. We already did the hard part by running the line to the basement. Immediately, the technician became short/frustrated and threatened to put a Do not service tag on our home.So now this business is holding hostage my $59 technician fee when all we received was a price gouging quote that no one in their right mind would agree to. The convenience of scheduling with these big companies is great, but it's just not worth the tradeoff in customer service. I'll be finding a small business, local plumber to do my work from now on.EDIT:I did, in fact, find a small business, master plumber to do this job; and it did only take 30-45 minutes. He charged me $125, I paid him $175 for saving me so much money. After an initial (unsuccessful) back and forth with a Mr. Rooter field manager, Jeff, who said he would only return the $59 charge if I provided a receipt for the completed service showing a total less than they quoted (HA!) and took down this review, a different customer service rep, Asha, reached out and I told her this story. Well, they credited back my $59; so I guess kudos for eventually doing the right thing. That said, the hoops I had to jump through to get these folks to be decent and the lack of direct acknowledgement that they tried to price gouge me, makes it impossible to recommend them in any way. Adding 1 star back for the awesome rep who took it upon herself to help us out; she was the only good & reasonable part of this experience.

Kris C with Mr. Rooters was awesome. He arrived early in the morning after we scheduled at 11:30pm the night before. Kris is very knowledgeable and was able to diagnose the problem and propose a few options for us within a matter of minutes. While he was here, my husband decided it would be a good idea to install a bidet on the toilet... but my husband didn’t tighten the parts all the way and we ended up having a 2” flood throughout our master suite. Kris was SO FAST to act. He turned off the water supply and got a water vac from his truck and started getting water off the floor very quickly. Thank God he was already here and saved us from a lot of additional work and money. We offered him gratuity as a small token of our appreciation, but he wouldn’t take it. I’m very satisfied overall with Mr. Rooter! We had a trench-less sewer liner installed this week. Sam was approachable and made the process easy. On the main day of work, Josh and Royce went above and beyond. They worked over 12 hours until our liner was fully installed and everything was back in service. Landon came to my condo yesterday, was on time, friendly and courteous! Very professional and you could tell wanted to help in anyway he could to fix my shower issues. I had another company in prior to fix my toilet and sink and they were supposed to fix my shower as well but he said he would have to pull the old claw foot tub out from the wall and out of the bathroom and dig into the wall to repair the issue and it would cost me thousands. So this is why I had Landon come in to get a second opinion and estimate. Thank goodness I did!! It took just a couple of try's and he found that the lines were plugged and asked if I wanted him to replace them on the spot and I said for sure. I cost me a couple hundred vs. the other guys few thousands!! I am so grateful to Landon and Mr. Rooter. Really challenging afternoon when the main sewer line backed up. Stephen ended up being here over 4 hours, he was thorough and explained everything as he was going along. Friendly and personable too. These situations are never fun, we appreciated the work that was done VERY much.

I am very impressed with Mr.Rooter Plumbing and will definitely use their services again in the future! They installed a sink for my ceramic studio and were able to integrate the plaster trap that I had with the sink perfectly. I have been using the sink for about a week and have had no issues with the trap system! The sink only took them one day to install which I really appreciate! Thanks!
