Best And Maintenance in Minneapolis MN

TJK has helped me on numerous occasions both in an emergency and scheduled work. I can rely on them to be timely, professional and do a thorough job. Brad and Dan installed a new water heater for me this week. They took time to explain to me what additional work needed to be completed prior to the inspection. I know I can rely on and trust TJK!

Ok, I'll break this review in three parts. Service description, Service Quality, and Pricing.

Description:
Technician replaced pvc pipes under the kitchen sink.

Service Quality:
The Technician (Josh) arrived on time, we went through the issue description and he described very clearly what needed to be done. Long story short, he said I needed to install new pvc pipes. He completed his work in a very fast manner, and everything worked as expected.

Pricing:
Here's where I think Minnesota Plumbing and Heating has a LOT TO IMPROVE! Josh showed me a first quote of 800 dlls for replacing the pvc pipes (I have pictures, so you can see that I'm not crazy and that this is way overpriced). I said Wow, 800 dlls, I can't afford that. He suggested that I talk to his supervisor (Andy), which I did. Andy used the typical World class service blah blah blah speech and said that the best he could do was to charge me 650 instead of 800 dlls (as if he was doing me a favor). I said ok (I'm new to the area and I don't know anything about service prices). It wasn't until Josh had left when I checked with friends, family and other sources - they all agreed that their service was way overpriced.

It took Josh exactly 1 hour to complete the work (I documented everything). 1 hour to replace 20 dll pipes and they charged 650 dlls. I don't know where they get their prices, or how they do their market research but that's insanely above market price.

Recommendation: simple, if you are looking for a plumbing service with honest fair prices and don't want to feel abused, please keep looking. I bet there are way more affordable and more customer oriented companies out here in MN.

Friendly serviceman, good work, timely responsiveness, competitive prices.

Really good experience. Deven showed up on time, called me on his way, wore booties while in the house to keep the dirt down, and was incredibly professional in my house. He walked me through the entire process and left me his personal phone number to call back with any questions. If I have additional work to do I will definitely be using this company.

They were on time, friendly and helpful. Solved my toilet issue and gave me ideas for the future to keep the problem from happening again .

Norblom was the first plumber I called. Jim was friendly, professional, and very helpful on the phone. He gave me a decent idea of what to expect for the repairs I might need based on my novice description of the symptoms. He also provided what turned out to be a pretty spot on range of what I should be prepared to spend (of which they actually came in on the low end of the range.) Being a pragmatic person, I called some other plumbers, because I did not want to just go with the first place I talked to. what a waste of time that was! No one else even came close to how courteous and helpful Jim at Norblom was. So I called Norblom back to book service and I got a different person on the phone. She was also very helpful and friendly and when I told her I had talked to someone else earlier she got me back on the phone with Jim. I was able to get someone out to our house in 3 days, which was great as the pipe repair was not necessarily an emergency but something I wanted fixed asap.
The plumber, Alex, was on time, very friendly, and did a wonderful job figuring out the issue and getting to right to work. I had done some prep work to control the dust in our finished basement as I knew they would have to break up the cement floor. Alex appreciated that I had done that work myself and saved him the time and trouble of controlling the dust/mess.
Alex explained the issues very well and gave me options without being pushy or trying to upsell product or services to pad the bill. He listened to my requests and followed through with great service and an excellent attitude.
The cherry on top is he finished with time to spare! He was scheduled to be at my house all day but finished in about 4 house even tho he had to go out for a part because my 1940’s house had an irregular sized pipe (time was deducted from my bill). When he was almost ready to leave, I pulled the ol’ by the way could you look at something else? Certainly frustrating for any service person! He was consistent with his professional and courteous manner and said no problem, let’s take a look.
We were not getting adequate pressure when running hot water in the shower. He was very knowledgeable of the fixtures and was able to disassemble and troubleshoot the issue and quickly find the problem. I should mention, I have had other people tell me to save money I should just to replace the fixtures myself. I am glad I didn’t do that myself because the fixtures were actually fine and the obstruction was in the hot water line before the fixture. My wife now has sufficient water pressure in her shower and somehow I came to be the hero… Alex should get all of the credit but I’ll take what I can get. Thanks again, Alex!

Had maintenance done to my water heater. Quick and friendly.

The technicians are always friendly, knowledgeable and provide information as to their findings. We've used Standard for many years and have not had one problem.

When our refrigerator began spewing water and flooding our kitchen we called Ken's Sewer, Drain, & Plumbing after hours and the gentleman who answered was kind enough to talk us through a temporary solution over the phone saving us hundreds of dollars in emergency plumbing expenses. It allowed us to keep the water on for the rest of the house without flooding the kitchen. We were so thankful!

Daniel was amazing. Very knowledgeable and kind. He spoke to me in a way that I could understand what was happening to my pipes and presented me with 3 options for repair. He also went above and beyond and checked the gas line connected to the water heater and saw that there was a leak and tighten that also.

He made sure the space was clean when he left and sent me all the details on labor vos email. Great job and I am happy with the service provided.

Best service I ever received. Quick and timely response. Came in promptly despite bad freezing rain and snowy weather. Technician Grant is very professional and skilled. He is very polite and answered all my questions with all the details. Very honest with courtesy, no pushing nor up selling. I was so appreciate he unclogged main drain to prevent further flooding disaster in my basement. This company will be my go to place for my plumbing issues. Thanks so much

Charged us $100.00 for a service call to attend to a leaky refrigerator. Did not have the needed parts and said they would order and return. 10 weeks and many unreturned phone calls later we gave up and called Thomas Service Company. Thomas Service Company had parts available and fixed frig in under 15 minutes.
Plus Maintenance is unreliable and unprofessional and we would never use them again nor recommend.

I experienced same day professional service for a reasonable price.

My main drain pipe was clogged. My warranty company had hired these guys to come out.

Two stars for the effort of the guys that came out. They put in quite some time, a full day of work(8 hours) and yet, the job was incomplete. One star for the communication. I was told they were going to come back out the next day to use a different method. 10:00AM, I called them and they said they aren’t coming back out because they did all they could.

I had to call my warranty company again and got it resolved through a different company.

Definitely would not use these guys again.
